Happy Mother's Day!!!
A special Mother's Day post to all women out there. Feel free to share the stories of your mother/the women who mothered you.
Today is the day to remember, be happy and celebrate those women who enriched our lives through their presence.
A woman who brings a life into the world, is a mother...
A woman who nurtures and protects, is a mother...
A woman who guides to the right direction and becomes an example to follow, is a mother...
A woman who smiles through her tears and let's you soar in the open sky, is a mother...
A woman who opens her heart and welcomes you in, is a mother...
And I had been very lucky to have Mothers like mine all around me, always there, always loving, always looking after my husband and I while we navigate through the new trips and turns of life that they have already gone through.
I know how lucky we are to have them in our lives as nurturers when we were younger, friends as we grew older and now as guardian angels looking over us.
Happy Mother's Day to my Mum, the one who raised me to be who I am today and taught me how to love...
Happy Mother's Day to my Mom, who opened her heart to the woman her son fell in love with and made me feel like her own...
And Happy Mother's Day to all women who mothers someone, somewhere, in some way and enrich lives every single day.

DeleteHappy Mother day to all the ladies and gentlemen here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely post Tia.
Well, its a funny incident, my MIL argued with me that yday was Mother's day since all r wishing in FB(my SIL showed her some posts)...I told no its today...She didnt relent. FB cant lie...LOL
I just wished her Happy Mothers day...and she said Thank you. The End. After all, when we love our mothers, any day can be Mothers day...no harm there.
Being a mother has made me love my mom even more. Appreciate her for all her sacrifices, it needs immense strength to sacrifice so that your kid doesnot suffer. My mom has sacrificed so much, I hope she wont have to do any more sacrifice ..well, she spent her time with her favourite God(took her for a visit), then cooked...and now she is relaxing with her mom and I'm here posting things about her....LOL
She is the anchor and the biggest support of my life. As a girl, the things, freedom she was refused, she made sure we get it, she made sure we dont suffer the way she did...she made us independent, financially and emotionally. Well, my younger sister is even more fiercely independent than me and has very unsocial factual views of every societal rules..I'm sure she'll love Tia more ....LOL
Ha ha... I know, right? My mother thinks everything anyone posts on Facebook is the ultimate truth as well. Well, as you said, everyday is Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to you. Thanks. :)
DeleteThank you Tia for making this post.It was an amazing post.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to all those amazing women who nurture their kids and help them to become better human beings.
With this, I would like to say happy mother's day to my mother who had to face tribulations just for bringing me and my sister up. Any other woman in these dire situations would've given up on her children but you made sure that your kids get a better life without comprising your morals. So thank you for all that you've done and I hope I and my sister are able to fulfill your wishes and give you a much deserved relaxing life.
Sorry for my rant, I hope I am not going out of my way here.
Thank you, BH. Happy Mother's Day to your mom as well. :)
DeleteHello Tia and folks!!
DeleteI know that I am rarely seen on the blog and I apologise for that. Its just that I was juggling between a lot of stuff so I didn't get time to come online. But now I am getting used to it.
First of all,a very happy Mother's Day guys!!! For me my mom is someone who has given a shape to my life. She gave me confidence and taught me how to survive and thrive.Yes we have differences at times but we do sort it out.She has been my friend and emotional anchor. She is someone on whom I can rely in the darkest of times.
When I was growing up,many a times Mom and I had a clash of opinions. My set of beliefs was different from hers and vice versa. We had arguments at times but later on we used to sit down and have a long conversation. We shared our views with each other and came to a conclusion which made both of us happy. This strengthened our bond all the more.Of course we don't agree on each and every thing. But we try to see the positive implication of each other's choices.
A mother plays many roles in a child's life.At times she is a friend while at times she disciplines us.In this relationship there is understanding from both the sides.
Hello Ashi
DeleteHope your internship is working out well. Thanks for sharing your beautiful story. Sometimes our mother and us aren't on the same page. But the bond we share is forever. Happy Mother's Day to you and your mother.
Love

Just saw this one... Well it was a good mother's day. My own mom is a little old school, kind of like Asha, but with more family loyalty. Wanna share funny incident.. Once I was participating in a state level conference and student representatives from many colleges were invited to have lunch with dignitaries like CM, major, and few gov officials.. My sister who had gone somewhere and had not returned for lunch as promised to mum. So she tried reaching her on cel and when she couldn't she called me repeatedly until CM's secretary pointed that "Maa ka phone aaya" so I should take it. Well my mother was least bothered about disturbing my lunch(she was aware of my whereabouts, but didn't give a damn anyways, lol). She just wanted to rant how her children are refusing to pick up "Maa ka Phone" also..LOL.. After a few seconds of ranting and whining she cut the call.. I still laugh thinking about that incident.
