Tia's Thread - Hunterwali!!!
As most of you know, I live in Toronto. Here in
Canada, we have many parks with running path where people jog, walk, exercise
their dogs etc.
Sometimes I see people walking dogs that are at least
twice their size. Like a tiny Asian or Indian lady with a giant Labrador or
Golden Retriever or even a St. Barnard.
I get intimidated by large dogs, so I observe them to
see how they handle dogs that are obviously larger than them.
What they do is train those dogs on how to heel on command when there are no immediate
emergency. So that in case of emergency, the dog responds well
to the command.
For example, they release the leash so that dog can go
farther than usual and then pull the catch on the handle to pull back the leash
to see if the dog is responding to the shorter leash and stepping back or
stretching against the leash to break free.
If the dog doesn’t heel, they reduce the leash less
than normal length so that the dog understands that the more they resist, the
less freedom they will get. So they heel.
If the dog heels, they give the dog a treat (like a
chew bone, a scratch on its neck or petting) at the end of the day. This
teaches the dog that there is a reward in the end if they do as per their
master’s command.
You guys must be wondering why I am talking about training
dogs. I am coming to that point.
If you apply the same situation to Dev and Ishwari’s
relationship, you will see the similarities.
Ishwari lets Dev roam free, but occasionally pulls
back his leash to see if he heels.
If he does as she says, she gives him a pat on his
back, praises him and tells him that he is a good son.
If he doesn’t do as she says, she sulks, blackmails
and generally make everyone miserable until Dev is forced to do as she says.
She did it to break up Dev and Sona.
She did it when Dev called Asha, Maa.
She did it every time Dev tried to get close to Sona.
She is still doing it today.
And she will continue to do it for as long as it
works.
Why? Because she knows
she can and because it works every damn time without fail. The day Dev stops jumping like a monkey when she wields her motherhood
like a hunter to flog him with, he will be released from her leash forever.
However, if he doesn’t stop responding to the crack of
her whip, then Dev might as well tattoo in his head “Property of Ishwari Dixit”
because that’s what he will be.
Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying Dev should
listen to Sonakshi instead.
What I am saying is that Dev should only listen to Dev Dixit and no one else. God has given him a brain, a sense of what is right for him and a will. Why not use them?
Until he owns his own life, he will forever be a slave to someone else and never his own person.
What I am saying is that Dev should only listen to Dev Dixit and no one else. God has given him a brain, a sense of what is right for him and a will. Why not use them?
Until he owns his own life, he will forever be a slave to someone else and never his own person.
And the first step to it, is to make Hunterwali
powerless by snatching her hunter like Sridevi is Chaalbaaz and holding the
power in his own hands.
Because the control panel of our life should be in our hands, no one else should use it to operate our life.
Because the control panel of our life should be in our hands, no one else should use it to operate our life.
EPISODE: The episode starts with Sona overhearing Ishwari.
Sona: Sorry to disturb you. But I didn't have any intention to stay back here. But Soha wanted to spend time with you and now Dev is sick and Soha doesn't want to leave him. That's why I had to stay. Otherwise I had no intention to stay back.
Radha taunts: This is our house and who wants to stay here for what purpose, we know very well.
Sona: I know that this is not my home. I know my limits too. So I have made a decision. Until Dev better, I will leave my daughter here with you and go to my home myself.
Radha: Yes, this is Soha's home. She is this house's daughter. She can stay here as long as she wants.
Sona: And I am her mother and as her mother, this is very difficult for me to leave her behind. But I am still doing it because I know that there are other people in this house to love her.
Sonakshi folds her hand and turns to leave from there.
This entire time, Ishwari has same constipated expression on her face until now. She says: Listen, you just came from Dev's room. How is he?
Sona: He is playing with the kids.
Ishwari probes some more: So he is fine?
Sona: You check yourself.
She leaves.
Radha: Jiji, did you see? She is leaving your granddaughter in your house as if she is doing you any favour. Whatever. She has went away at last. This is your chance to talk to Dev.
She mentally urges for Ishwari to approach Dev.
Radha reminds her what Ishwari has done for this house. She strokes her ego saying that Dev will never say no to her. He has to agree to what she says.
Ishwari looks reluctant. But then she is the owner with the big dog. She needs to see if the dog still heels on her command.
Me: I find a few things interesting here.
1. Ishwari remains po-faced every time Radha insults someone so that later she can claim that it was not her who said anything. It was Radha.
2. And Radha uses Ishwari to heel Dev. Because if she says anything, Dev can get angry. This way he can't get angry at her and throw her out of the house. He will at least never throw his mother out.
So both Radha and Ishwari use each other for their own purpose.
Another thing to note is Sona. She said that Soha wanted to spend time with her grandmother and that's why she didn't go. But Soha was willing to leave in the evening and after 7 days they would have returned anyway. Sona can convince herself anything using Soha. But the fact is that she made the decision to stay back without asking anyone thinking Ishwari will be happy with her because she let Soha stay back.
But this is where Sona's inability to learn her lesson from her past comes in. She should know by now that more than Ishwari's desire to have her granddaughter is to NOT have Sonakshi close to her son.
She is willing to let go of her waris, if that means she gets to keep her son. After all, you can't lose principle investment for interest. Can you?
In the living room of Dixit house, Dev is playing ludo with Golu and Soha.
Me: Apparently stress related fever only prevents one from going to Bose house. But the moment the program gets cancelled, they can climb down stairs to living room and doesn't even need a back support to hold their weak, fever-ravished body.
This reminds me of all those tummy aches that used to disappear the moment school bus left. Then rest of the day, I used to have energy to climb Mount Everest.
No wonder I thought Bhaiya was faking it.
Anyhoo, Soha wishes for a six. But Golu says that she won't get it. He will win because he just needs three to win.
Bhaiya encourages Soha that she can win. Suddenly he asks Golu to look away. As soon as he looks away, Bhaiya turns the dice to six.
He says: Wow, six. Soha won.
Soha says: No, Papa. I didn't win. You changed dice. I got two.
She tells Golu: Golu, I don't want to win by cheating. You take your chance.
Bhaiya looks at Golu ashamed. Golu looks at Bhaiya mad: BigCha, you cheated for Suhana. You wanted her to win?
Bhaiya says: Golu, I was just kidding.
Golu: I wanted to win too. But you just care about Suhana. I don't want to play with you.
He storms away.
Bhaiya looks at Suhana exasperated: See? He got upset.
Me: Is there anything left for me to say? Any parent in the world can say it better than me.
But here's what I can say which I had repeatedly said many times before.
Bhaiya gets into obsession phase. He then wants to make that person happy at any cost, at anyone else's cost. At that time, he doesn't think or look at anyone else.
So could he have made his and Sona's relationship work if there was no one around? Yes.
But even if they had one child and the child asked for something that is not their right or they haven't earned it, then if at that moment, Bhaiya's obsession is on the child, he won't have listened to Sonakshi and get his child whatever their little heart desires by hook or crook.
That's the problem.
The solution to Bhaiya isn't to isolate him from everyone else. It's to teach him the difference between love vs. obsession, indulgence vs. exploitation, generosity vs. over-compensation.
And he will never learn how to balance relationships until he has that sense and the sensibility to understand the consequences of his actions.
Today Soha refused to cheat and Golu got upset with his action and ran away. Did he understand the consequence?
From his expression, I will have to conclude that he didn't get it.
He should know by now that Suhana got Sonakshi's upbringing. She will never demand or accept more than her fair share, specially if she hasn't earned it.
And Golu is also a child. So if he uses cheating to make him lose, he is bound to be hurt.
Just like when he lied to keep peace between his mother and Sonakshi, he didn't understand either woman. He is doing the exact same thing now. He still doesn't get it.
That's what happens, when forgiveness comes for free and people doesn't have to do penance for their past mistakes. What isn't earned, isn't valued.
At Bose house, Bijoy is rushing around making arrangement for someone. He asks Guni to cook fish too.
Asha says: Bijoy, this is Sona and Soha's house. They are not coming for the first time.
Bijoy says: I know that very well. Because my daughter respects me and listens to me. She is not like others.
Just then Jatin comes.
Bijoy greets him.
Jatin says that he got what Bijoy asked him to get.
Bijoy says that he ask Jatin to get something and he doesn't bring it, can't happen.
Asha asks: You asked Jatin for lunch or asked him to do chores?
Jatin: It's okay, Kaki. It was on the way.
Asha: Who asks guests to do chores?
Bijoy laughs: Jatin, did you hear? What is your Kaki calling you? He is not a guest. He is like my son.
Just then Saurabh comes there: When did you come, Jatin?
Bijoy taunts: Jatin is better than my son.
Saurabh shakes Jatin's hand: Jatin, congratulations and all the best.
Jatin wonders: Why is that, Dada?
Saurabh says: You have freed me from my position. But do me a favour, naa. Please find me a dad of my choice.
Bijoy says: Jatin, why are you standing? Sit down. Today is very good day. No need to talk to people who have no sense. Sit here and I will be right back.
Bijoy leaves.
Me: There they go again. Back to taunting session. But that's their relationship. Saurabh taunts Bijoy and Bijoy taunt Saurabh. Funny, the only person Bijoy treats exactly like Saurabh is Dev.
Anyhoo, Ishwari comes to the living room and asks Dev to come with her.
Once they are in Dev's room, Ishwari asks how is Dev feeling?
Dev says that he is absolutely fine.
Ishwari thinks about what she has overheard and makes lemon sucking face.
Me: Yep. I have never seen such fast recovery from fever to go from 0 to 100 in less than an hour minus any sleep or rest. For that matter, I have never heard of fever from stress either.
Dev asks if she wants to say something.
Ishwari closes the door.
Me: And I was hearing the sound of prison door closing. But then I have an overactive imagination.
Ishwari says: I had been living with a burden in my heart for a while.
Dev thinks that Ishwari is talking about the theft.
He thinks that he knows what she is talking about (*SNORT*). He won't let any burden remain on her heart. He just needs some time to take care of everything.
Me: Now let me analysis what happens next with fishing example.
Ishwari starts baits her hook: You have taken the responsibility of this family since childhood with me strength to strength. You took responsibility at an early age when kids play. I couldn't do anything for you.
Me: Praise + Mention of the past + Fake humility = Stoking guilt + Reminder of her sacrifice. Good start.
Dev (fishy) sniffs at the bait: What are you saying, Mummy?
Ishwari dangles the bait closer: I am speaking truth. Let me say. My life changed when you were born. I was so happy. But parents also have responsibilities to give their children a good life. But you even lost your childhood. This happened because I couldn't do anything right.
Me: Fake guilt + Fake Tears = Guilt dangling under the surface along with motherhood glistening the bait making it more attractive.
Dev takes a bite of the bait: What are you saying? You gave me everything.
Ishwari jingles the bait closer: The truth is that whatever this family got, it got for you. So I have no right to ask you for anything. But still...
Me: Excellent. Make the bait look so tempting until the fish is willing to shut down its natural instinct for survival and just goes for it.
Dev swallows the bait whole: What are you saying? You have no right to my life? Then what's the use of my living? This life is yours. You just say it. I will do whatever you say. Just say it. Say it what you want? If I can't fulfil any wish of yours, then I am the most unfortunate son in this world. Whatever you say, I will do it.
Ishwari starts reeling the fish: You and Sonakshi get married.
Dev is shocked.
Me: Start with something that they want to do, but can't do. They proceed with something that you want them to do. Classic.
For example, if you can go back in time and fix the mess you made of your life, then do it. If you can't, then do as I say.
Dev is chewing the bait while the hook is getting embedded: What are you saying, Maa? You know how we got separated. How can you think this? It's not possible, Maa.
Ishwari lets him chew: Why can't it happen, Dev? Everything changed in these years. I think in these years, you two have changed and you have matured. Then why can't you connect the relationship that got broken? Don't worry about what will people say. I will support you.
Last time, you had to face a lot of problems because of me. I was wrong. But now you have got a chance to fix everything. You should think about it.
Dev, I can't live with this burden that may be you got separated because of me. I always want to see you happy. If I have realised my mistake, then why two of you can't forgive...
Me: Fake humility + Fake Tears = See below...
Dev chews the bait some more: Maa, what are you saying? It was not your fault.
Me: All blame absolved.
Ishwari (Time to make this choice an impossible solution so that the other become more lucrative. Start reeling the fish): I know it was not my fault alone. In the end, you should have managed your relationship. I also know that you two aren't right for each other. I had also said it 7 years ago. But you two were crazy to marry each other. There must have been some reason behind that stubbornness. You used to love each other. So for that love, bring Sonakshi back in your life.
Me: And there comes the real crux of the matter. Sonakshi is bad choice. But I am doing it for you. Do her a favour and let her come in. If she agrees, I will be the Goddess again who again allowed her son to play with an used toy he still wants. If she denies, well, then I have my other weapon to strike. In the process, all my past crime got absolved thanks to my moronic son.
Ishwari: It's all for you. I don't want my son, who lost his childhood, has to live his life with any other shortage.
Dev: I know you only want my happiness (*SNORT*). But Sonakshi and I have moved on with our life. It's not possible now.
Ishwari (Jumping with joy inside. She got the confirmation she was looking for. But just to be sure): But why?
Dev: For Suhana.
Ishwari (Just to make sure, there is no way Suhana can change your mind either): Do it for Suhana.
Dev: We are doing it for Suhana. We don't want that our problem impact Suhana's future. She is the biggest happiness of our life. If we can't keep her happy, that will be the biggest loss of our life.
Ishwari (all confirmations signed, sealed and delivered. Now time to reel the fish completely): Ok. If you can't marry Sonakshi, I won't force you. But you will have to start your life with someone else. You will have to choose another life partner. If not Sonakshi, then let it be. But you will have to marry again.
Dev is shocked: I can't marry again. This is not possible.
Ishwari: Why can't you do it? You promised me that you will do as I say. Then why can't you do it? Do you want me to die under this burden?
Dev: Maa...
Ishwari: Dev, years ago I got you Sonakshi, the toy. Then can't you now give me my toy?
Me: She didn't say that. But that's what it sounded like to me.
Dev: Maa, I can do anything for you. But listen to me. I can't do this. If I do this, it will be unfair to Suhana.
Ishwari (let's eliminate Suhana now): There will be no unfairness with Suhana. When she will grow up, she will understand (I mean I refuse to understand anything. But that kid must understand). And if you refuse to marry again, then you will be unfair to yourself and your mother.
Dev: Maa...
Ishwari: If you choose Sonakshi, that's fine. Otherwise you will have to marry someone else.
Me: And this is how you catch a fish. Hook, line and sinker.
Bait, trap, play, entice, reel and now gutting starts. Considering Ishwari is vegetarian, she does fishing very well, no? Grilled fish dinner, anyone?
In the meanwhile, Sona gives Bijoy a call.
Bijoy asks where are they. Sona says that she has to go to a meeting in Gurgaon.
Bijoy asks if they are coming late. Sona says that only she is coming back. Soha is staying here.
Bijoy asks why.
Sona says that she is going out. She will explain later.
Bijoy keeps saying hello and Sona hangs the phone.
Me: I am trying to understand here. Does Sona think Dev and her live in a hotel? She decides where they will stay, how long they will stay, cancels at whim, extends their stay at whim, changes no. of people at whim. Is this a joke?
Why does she even bother coming back to Bijoy's house? She can go get her own house and come and go at will. But no, she needs baby sitters.
I totally understand Bijoy's annoyance. Now compare this to Dev who ate his mother's cooking despite having a full meal because she made arrangements and he didn't want to hurt her feelings.
Now you tell me, who will want a daughter like this? I know between a son like Dev and a daughter like Sonakshi whom I will prefer. Dev may be spineless. But he is loyal. Sonakshi has no loyalty to her own family. She only remembers them when Dev kicks her out.
Bijoy is hurt.
Jatin asks what happened?
Bijoy asks: What is the point of making so much preparation? Why do we even bother? If she wants to take all her decision on her own, then why involve us at all? We made so much arrangement for her and she called and said that Soha won't come and if she comes then she will go to Gurgaon.
Jatin understand why Sona is going to Gurgaon. He says that he knows that Sona has work in Gurgaon.
Bijoy asks how did he know? Did she call him?
Saurabh taunts: Jatin, she is my sister. She is smart. She must have called you first.
Bijoy gets mad.
Jatin says that he got call from office. They thought that he must have got the same meeting.
Bijoy says whatever they want they can do it.
He storms away.
Bijoy comes down with his luggage: I have decided what I want to do.
Asha says: What are you doing, Bijoy?
Saurabh says from the dining table: Maa, don't stop Baba. Let him go if he wants. He always stays back after doing emotional blackmail.
Bijoy says: You don't know how to respect your father. So you don't care.
Ronita says: Baba, please stop. May be Sona di has a reason to stay back.
Jatin also tries to stop him.
Saurabh says: Jatin, don't stop him or he will stay back. Let him go if he wants.
Me: Now I will say a few things here. It's Bijoy Bose's house. Yet, he didn't throw out everyone in the street. He, himself decided to leave.
Secondly, Saurabh, the man who could not earn his own way without his sister's help, who couldn't convince his own fiance's mother to let her daughter marry him and fight the allegations Radha made on him on his own, the man who pretends to be a man of courage by taking potshot at Bijoy standing under Bijoy's roof instead of walking out if he has so much problem with him, thinks that he has any right to open his mouth here.
Strange how little men find courage to challenge people by someone's backing.
And that backing is Asha.
Had Saurabh talked to Asha the way he talked to Bijoy, we all know how Bijoy would have reacted. But just like Ishwari uses Radha as her mouthpiece, Asha lets Saurabh do her talking with such disrespect to her husband, father of her children under his roof while maintaining her image as the good wife.
But lectures Sona on how to treat her ex-husband under her father's roof.
Had my children talked with such disrespect to my husband, they would have been shown the door. If I think my husband is wrong, I would say it to him. But I'd never use my children to disrespect him. But then, I love and respect my husband.
Bijoy is about to leave when Sona comes.
Asha says: It's good that you came. Look what your father is doing.
Sona asks where is he going?
Bijoy says that why do they need him? They take their own decisions now and live their own life. Then fine. But he doesn't want to watch them making mistakes. No one needs him here anyway.
Sona tries to pacify him.
Bijoy: I don't want to hear anything. When they asked you to stay back, you did. The promise you made to me has no value. Ishwari ji kept talking big promises, then I left and everything changed?
Sona says: But listen to me naa...
Bijoy: I don't want to hear anything. I know what's going on. You like them more than us. What do you think? I don't understand anything? Your life is again stuck in their house. You don't need us now that you have them.
I thought a lot. But I didn't think that after bringing you here, listening to everything you said, you will treat us like that.
Sona tries to speak.
Bijoy gets a call and shouts at someone to book the next day's flight. He is feeling suffocated in this city.
Me: This was bound to happen one day. Sonakshi, you are hoping to talk to your father today and he doesn't want to hear. But all these days he was waiting to hear from you, but you said nothing.
You kept taking your father for granted along with your family with your mother's encouragement. Now why are any of you stopping him? Let him go.
He was the only one standing to protect you. He can't watch you making the same mistakes again and again and frankly, no one deserves to watch a train wreck on repeat.
Since he is the only problem of you all, let him live in peace and you guys do what you want. But he should not have to feel helpless to watch his family deceive, betray and treat him like trash.
And Asha, just imagine how easily you will be able to live now. All your problem gone in an instant. You won't have to worry about your husband's anger, impulsiveness, you won't have to hide from him anything. He is out of your life once and for all while you still get to keep your precious marital status, the house and the family whom now you can move as per your wish without hindrance. Isn't that like Christmas and Diwali coming together for you all?
Vicky and Radha looking for a bride for Dev. Radha wants a docile, preferable mentally challenged, not too rich girl. Vicky says that Dev won't like those kind of girls. But Radha wants a girl she can control.
Me: Who cares? Just find whoever. Bhaiya will do anything for Mummy. The only promise he doesn't break are the ones he makes to his Mummy. He breaks every other promises including what he said to Suhana that he will do whatever she wants.
In Dev's room, Ishwari gets to the filleting part.
Ishwari: Why can't you do this?
Me: I mean, all she wants him to marry. It's like asking to eat an extra spoon of Halwa. No big deal. Just ruining another woman's life to make his mother happy. He can do it. He has done it before.
Ishwari: 7 years ago, you turned away from this home. This home was yours, but you were not slave to this home. I was your mother, but you were not my devoted slave son I raised. If you can't do this, I will assume that my son never returned back. If you want to do what you want. Then fine. I will live here, but I won't be off this home. You will be my son, but I won't be your mother.
Bhaiya is shocked again.
Me: Yaar, I don't get it. Why do these people keep getting shocked at the most obvious things? I mean if today Ishwari says that she loves Sonakshi now and whatever they decide, she will be happy with. She is just happy that her son is happy. Then I can understand him getting shocked.
But her blackmailing him to get him to do what she wants? Well, isn't that the regular pattern?
It's like getting shocked at Bahubali's hotness. He is hot. We know that. What is there to be shocked about? Bug eyed, yes. Shocked, no. I mean the shocking thing would be if he looked like scrawny chicken. Well, then it's shocking ki aisa kaise ho gaya re baba? (How did that happen?)
At Bose house, Bijoy is in his room fuming. Sonakshi comes there.
Bijoy: When you can take your decision, I also took my decision and I won't change it.
Sonakshi: I didn't come to change your decision. I came to talk. Can we talk?
They sit down.
Sona: Not a day came when I didn't think of you and Mom. Then why do you think that I have anyone more dear than you two?
Bijoy: I didn't take this decision out of my own will. You forced me to take this decision.
Sonakshi: I know things has changed. And it's good for things to change with time. I don't want to lie to you. I don't hate that house or that family. That affects you. no?
But Baba, I have no reason to hate them. Because I have no relationship with them. But Soha does. You think yourself that if I hate that family, then how will Soha feel? That her mother hates her father's family? Do you want me to raise Soha in this condition?
Me: Well, Sona. You got your mother's capability to twist explanation for your purpose. Bijoy never said you had to hate Dev's family. That's why he agreed to this 7 days arrangement. But he expected fair treatment. He expected for you to remain neutral. You didn't. As long as you had been behaving like a neutral person maintaining a fair arrangement, he didn't call you or bother you. But when you changed the arrangement to get into Ishwari's good graces short changing his time, that's when he got upset. He knows very well that Dev won't let his family's time shortchanged at any cost. But you have let it happen and can let it happen. That's the difference.
Sona: I remember when I was young and you and mother used to fight, then you used to stop fighting seeing me.You used to smile. Why? Because Dada's and my happiness is important to you. That's exactly what Dev and I are doing.
Bijoy: Don't compare me with Dev.
Sona: I am not comparing you with Dev. I am comparing you with me. Can I raise Soha any differently than you and Maa raised us?
Bijoy: But why did you let Soha stay there longer?
Sona: Soha wanted to stay back because Dev got sick.
Bijoy: But he could still come here. Did I stop him from coming?
Sona: If I was sick, would you have let me go?
Me: Sonakshi, here's a tip to deal with fair-minded people. First of all, be forthcoming at all times.
When you decided to stay back, you should have called your father and let him know about it. I know you called your mother. But both you and I know that she doesn't share information. But your father does.
Second, give them another fair deal. As in, Baba, we are staying back another week. But in exchange, we will stay at your place next two weeks.
Third, if there is any change of plans for any reason, inform before you cancel. He is not operating hostel here. It's his home and he might have already made plans.
It's called courtesy when someone is expecting us to inform them of change of plans and the reason for it. Bijoy is not an unreasonable man until you treat him like an after thought.
Bijoy: You should have told me this before.
Sona: Did you listen to me?
Bijoy: I am just worried for one thing. Put your hand on my head and swear that what you are saying is the truth. You are not thinking anything for Dev. You have no feelings for him.
Me: Now is your chance Sona. Don't say later that he didn't give you a chance to speak. Speak the truth today or hold your silence forever. Bijoy won't take kindly being lied to over and over again.
Sonakshi: I swear that there is nothing between Dev and I. I am sure that nothing can happen either. All relationship ended between us.
Me: Okay. Then we will hold you onto it. But we all know that you don't take long to flip.
In the living room of Dixit house, Dev is playing ludo with Golu and Soha.

PRECAP: Dev and Sona's car is stalled. Sona is trying to change tier (I think).
Bhaiya: Today Mummy asked something from me. She wants you come back in my life. We get married again.
Sona: What did you say?
Dev: I also think that may be I need a life partner.
Me: Wait, let me pick myself from the floor first. Let's see if I have got it right.
Maata said that Bhaiya to get married to Sonakshi.
Bhaiya goes to Sonakshi and tells her that Mummy said we can play together again.
Behena asks what was his response to that. Probably hoping he must have said to his mother to back off from her manipulation.
Bhaiya says: Now that Mummy said it, now I also think that I need a playmate. So what say? Aati kya khandala?
So remind me where I have seen this scene before? Oh yes, right after first break up. When Behena handed him his flowers and his shitty proposal and sent him on his way.
No wonder as per spoiler, Sona tells him to find a new toy to play with.

Well, what can I say? Doggy Tail, doggy tail...
No rules!!! Yay!!!
That's a nice observation about big dogs and small owners. I have always wondered about the same but never bothered to observe. Of course that's what makes you different. And good thing is that you can freely compare any reel situation with real life scenarios.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Aditi. How sweet of you. Yes, I observe people a lot. Because I find people fascinating.
DeleteIs It just me or does ishwari not care about khatri and the theft as much as Dev thinks she does ... A remorseful person behaves differently in all aspects of life. She continues to blackmail Dev for really silly reasons. I think Dev and Sona are wasting their time with finding this family ... Ishwari doesn't care to ask for forgiveness
ReplyDeleteHey, great explanation...a bang on analysis of the toxicity of the mother son relationship.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
DeleteIs it me or is Ishwari not as regretful of the theft as Dev and Sona think she is. This is not how a remorseful person behaves ... she continues to blackmail Dev for her own happiness and satisfaction even after Dev says that Sona is not interested in him. I think Dev and sona are wasting their time with finding the family better focus on their kid and making their businesses a success.
ReplyDeleteNope, it's not you. Ishwari doesn't regret her actions. Did you see how swiftly she turned her crime of being the catalyst of breaking their marriage on Dev and Sona? That's who she is. She blames others for her crime. How much are you willing to bet that she will blame her poverty for the theft as well?
DeleteDid you notice that she increased the level of pressure and ultimatums after Dev confessed that Sona and him are not getting back together? Because that's not what she wants. She said that if Dev and Sona don't want to get back together, she won't force them. But she would force Dev to marry someone else. She also made it clear that she thinks that Dev and Sona are wrong for each other. So that Dev knows very well what she doesn't want but willing to tolerate for him, just like after first break up so that he remains grateful for his mother letting him get Sona back even though she doesn't agree with him.
It's so obvious that it's not even funny anymore.
Hey Tia,amazing start as usual.
ReplyDeleteWhat you said about Ishwari wanting her son more than a waris is so true.
Both in her case and Dev's ,we know that their actions speak louder than their words.Ishwari may rant about loving Dev and Suhana, but it seems that their happiness doesn't matter to her at all.As long as SHE gets what SHE wants, everything is alright.
In S1 Ishwari wanted a grandchild just to keep Sona busy and away from Dev (so Ish could have Dev to herself). Ishwari demanded a child after she realized Sona couldnt give her one.
DeleteIshwari is unapologetically selfish even today when she asks her son to get married she tells him to do so to reduce her guilt. Not because she loves her son and wants to see him happy and settled in life. 😡
DeleteExactly. Ishwari wants what she wants, when she wants, how she wants. She doesn't give a damn about Dev. If she did, she'd have stop giving him ultimatums. Even Mamaji pointed out that Dev looks happy these days. Ishwari has also noticed that. Then what happiness is she looking for?
DeleteShe wanted Dev to have a child. He got it. She wanted Dev to be happy. He is. Then what is left of her objective other than cutting off Sona? Nothing. But as usual duffer Dev doesn't get it.
Tia perfect just perfect title hunterwali amazing comparison.
ReplyDeleteSo true ishwari is hunterwali for sure
I liked what u wrote hope dev try to be a man and stop being a kid in hands of sona and ishwari.
I think he needs to manage his house instead of allowing others to rule him that to mind gamer like ishwari
How convientially ish twisted her words I just remembered she using same trick with sona when the big blow happened instead of saying u both go to leave separately far away from family she ended up saying u both go separately what a mind gamer ishwari is wah gkb is dumb in front of her
Lol tia I just wondering what if this topic was in the forum they would have warned u yet again by writing u compared dev to dog and ur friend mods might have made a issue out of this
DeleteThank you. We keep hoping Bhaiya to be a man and he keeps disappointing us. So don't hold your breath. Ishwari is back in her old tricks.
DeleteLol... That's why I am not in forum anymore. I say what I see. Ab Bhaiya paltu kutta jaisa behave karega, to unko sher thodi kahungi?
Wahi tho lol tia we are free from jail ( forum)
DeleteToday's episode was like the same story served again with more cringe worthy of ishwary's we are team story . n here sina thinks she should be nice to her. Sona keep your generosity for the people who deserve it.
ReplyDeleteThe big dog and small owner example was amazing and unfortunately dev is behaving the same way again phew !!
Thanks Neerja. That's exactly what I had been saying. Be generous, but don't be stupid. Sonakshi is stupid. Have you read the story of Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare? Well, Timon was the richest guy of Athens. He used to be very generous and used to give away his wealth to everyone. One day his business suffers and he goes to those people he helped to help him. But all those people he was stupidly generous with shut the door on his face. In the end he cursed his fate that he trusted the wrong people and gave away his wealth to the undeserved.
DeleteI can foresee the same fate for Sonakshi.
Just few words....who let The dogs out
ReplyDeleteWho who who... Maata ji. Who else?
Deletewho else writer mataji and sona
DeleteTia I really liked what u said about golu and soha I agree golu always forgive him easily so today he didn't realize what he is doing .
ReplyDeleteTill he loses golu he might not realize how to balance between his blood and others he always keeps soha and ish and just neglects sona and golu because they forgive him just like that .
I really loved bijoy I just love his thoughts about safe guarding his daughter and he asking sona about what she thinks about dev in real
But sona said there is nothing but I feel she was confused while saying it let's see what she says to dev .
See tia how this dev reacts he now needs a life partner just because his hunterwali ordered him when will this diaper kid throw his diaper on ish face and says enough that he will make decisions on his own .
We might never get that sure dev will blackmail sona for sure .
Today episode was like rewind mode same old ish twisted games but bijoy was different.
See the difference tia bijoy wants sona to be safe because he knows dixits don't value sona so he asks sona to say what is in her mind unlike ishwari always in verge of imposing her wish throwing goggles and use words to twist in such a way ppl will think she wants his happiness but truth is she will make sure her words are final words .
What a lady man she can be a great politician .
Did u observe ther is zero regrets or guilt on her face while she gave all credits to dev to hold his family ( can a thief talk so confidently with out no hiccups) seriously such a daring lier ishwari can be see her confidence level and zero guilt how can her soul be so calm ruining other lives to build her castle of lies such a crepe
I feel so bad to hate supriyaji what a great artist were we hate her so much but hate to hate the actress in real
Now that you mentioned about guilt on ishwaris face. Yes you are right she has zero repentance. She might feel that doing a lot of charity has let her off the hook. And I always wondered why dev never showed genuine regret for some of the major mistakes he made. He had his mom as very bad example.
DeleteNow what guilt is sona jatin and once in a white dev trying to save ishwari from?
Baba bose is my absolute favourite. But I wanted a scene of saurabh saying sorry to baba for going overboard.
DeleteAnd why is nobody commenting on Devs bad parenting. He is teaching kids to cheat. Such kids grow up to become Vicky or ishwari.
Shailu, you are absolutely right. The difference is that Ishwari put an ultimatum on Dev to choose her way or high way.
DeleteShe claims that she wants to see Dev happy. But as she and Mamaji noticed, Dev is happy. Then what excuse does she have to force marriage on him?
Where was this concern for her son in the past 7 years when he used to wander like a lost soul?
Bijoy asked Sona the truth. He has the right to not want to watch her ruining her life again over the same man. He gave two chances to her. Even today he asked her to be honest with him.
But Sona keeps lying to him, just like she lied back when she agreed to marry Ritwik. Bijoy never pressurized her to take a decision. She took her own decision every time.
And don't even talk about Bhaiya. He will forever remain his mother's puppet. Whoever marries him will end up leaving him because if she gets his love, his mother will make her life hell and if she doesn't, then her life will be hell anyway because her husband is in love with his first wife and she is the second option.
In that situation, it's entirely possible that even if she doesn't leave, she might start to hate Soha. That will ruin Dev and Soha's relationship for sure. He has already ruined his and Golu's relationship. So he will be left with nothing and no one. Again.
All because he couldn't learn a single lesson from his past.
So true tia
DeleteThe twitter fans seem fed up too now ...
ReplyDeleteGood now at least some of them will realise the importance of giving criticism when it's due. Even if the male lead is dashing if the character is not going in the correct direction as the story demands the viewership will suffer eventually.
DeleteAt last they are loss for words. Chalo, der aaye durust aaye.
DeleteYeah yeah yeah ---- with no dev around it's gonna get a lot worse
DeleteOh god Tia ..you just compared Ishwari's relationship with Dev to dog training, which means you are comparing this dashing fictional character Dev Dixit to an animal ?? Oh my !!!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry ! 🙊😹i couldnt stop myself ! coming back after reading the update.
Lol... I know right? Freedom is sweeeeeetttt... Hee hee.
DeleteTrying to get a bit organised here with my thoughts. First about your analysis and analogy you are right. Infact not just ishwari and dev almost all of them except for maybe Vicky and elena are on Leash and reward system of relationships.
ReplyDeleteAbout manipulation by Radha of ishwari
This is a mutually gainfull relationship. Ishwari from the beginning knows her babhii well. When it's for her benefit she listens to Radha. Infact Radha does nothing more than give voice to ishwari and her thoughts.
Ishwari and dev. This is a pure master slave relationship. But dev knows his mother and he has indeed done more than enough in all sense to pay off real and imaginary debt. The dude lost his happiness to his mothers manipulation. So he too is a willing slave according to choice. He broke of from her for the past 7 years when he didn't want her. But now that he wants his family and home he comfortably comes back.
Sona is ..... the rare kind of stupid person who knows and understands everything and still is like a idiot running around to get accepted. She on some level is still searching for ishwaris acceptance. God alone knows why!
Thanks Kavi. Yep. You are right. Radha and Ishwari use each other for their own gain. But they are successful because Dev is a moron. If he had a personality, he won't have been so easily manipulated. Ah well, you make your bed. Now you gotta lie in it. If he has told Ishwari that if she won't acknowledge him as her son, then he will be sad. But he has no other option but to accept it. In that case there is no point staying in this house either. She can continue to live here in peace. He will move out.
DeleteIn one stroke her manipulation would have ended forever.
But she cracked her whip and he danced. So now keep dancing like a monkey his entire life.
Update done. Responses later. :D
ReplyDeleteTia khandala nahi re " aja guffa me ah"he might sing
ReplyDeleteShe " na re na re nana nare "
Wow, Shailu. That's even better choice.
DeleteSee tia dev thinks to have partner when mataji says when his mom kick the wife when his mom wants kids soha was produced by force in Simla then if she says one more kid and kick ur wife away why want her 2 kids why sona I will take care types he will nod " s ma ha ma" such an ass dev I would have kicked him away let's see sona reaction tomorrow
ReplyDeleteYep. And when she tells him tomorrow to produce a boy child because girl child isn't enough, he will kill his wife trying to get her to produce boys. Isn't that what men like him do?
DeleteWahi tho ma ka ladhla how can sona tolerate all this
DeleteHe says he thinks he needs a life partner no he doesn't need when his mom is all around all over the floor is he mad he will ruine other girl life and sona I want to hit her once she started lying to her dad jhooti kasam on dad omg save bijoy
Shruthi dev ex gf was right devakshi are together they will make others mad hope bijoy don't end up in asylum
DeleteActually, it's not Dev and Sona, but Dev and Ishwari who makes everyone else suffer. Anyone who comes between them is eff-ed. And now that people are Sona and Suhana.
DeleteHaven't seen this episode yet but seems totally YUCKY
ReplyDeleteMore poison
More dysfunction
More lying and
Lots more emotional blackmail
And lots more stupidity
Can someone please remind me why we are all still watching this ? So disappointed !!
We are not watching it straight it's that it has come to break point we're we want to see what sona wants if that's clear we can bid good riddance to the show .
DeleteSome times we skip and sometimes tia wu make us watch it .
Till this ends we will be in pendulum state kabhi watch karo kabhi skip
I am just reading Tia's update.and i am very proud I haven't watched single episode since 1 month .leaving one two episodes .I still believe show is ending soon because random praising of producers and writers, paid articles of this show proves they heavily relying on online buzz, because sony is gonna soon unplug this show no matter what (given past history)how much they are trying to prove this show as "progressive" I mean it's lots of stupidity to say this show as progressive or any different from other show when they are busy justifying "chori" act.
DeleteYep, yep, yep. Imagine how I had to sit through this nightmare to write my post. Only after I shut down my brain, I could sit through it. Honestly, did Bhaiya learned nothing? First time when he said that Mummy said that I can choose you, Sonakshi had kicked him out her office with his flower in his face. Second time when he said this, she burned her mangalsutra, called him Mamma's boy and left. Yet, he still comes back to Sonakshi with the same information. Mummy asked me to marry you? Are you frigging kidding me?
DeleteDev is makki in the making u try to shoo makki but it keeps coming until it is busted I want see sona busting his over confidence and attitude
DeleteYes guys ---- we are now getting de-addicted quickly ! All we need is a saner show !! Please pass on any you see. I've been watching IB - not tooo bad but just seem to skip those too !!
DeleteLOL Did sona just took "jhooti" kasam of her dad.I cant trust her.you are right Tia dev babu is awesome son while sona is shitty daughter ,if you have still feelings for dev ,just tell your father on the face.yes l lou him.as simple as that.atleast be honest with your parents ,respect their feelings, not do any jhooti kasam .no matter how much ass saurabh is behaving ,at least he's honest with bijoy..
ReplyDeleteWahi tho sona is such dumb
DeleteYep. Sonakshi is a disgrace. She keeps on lying to her family, they believe her and then they end up with eggs on their face. Dev is more loyal to his mother. Until his mother gives permission, he might flirt with the toy, but he won't buy it.
DeleteI think she knows she can't trust Dev .... even if she loves him, she hasn't admitted it to herself. For her trust is critical . So may not be v jhooti --- and unless dear Bejoy releases her of the promise they won't show her breaking her word.
DeleteSo now it will be how to win Bejoy over for Dev --- maybe that's why this sub plot.
I would like for Dev to feel jealous of aonas trust and respect for Jatin !!
I think you are right. But the thing is that Sonakshi didn't promise anything. Bijoy asked her to swear on him and tell the truth. She just twisted her words. Dev will feel jealous when Sona shows any respect or trust on Jatin instead of treating him like a convenience.
DeleteDev is such a loyal son, but still I don't want mine turn out to be like him. To be honest this series is an eye opener for Indian parents how not to be, exception of Bijoy Bose. Sona has lost all credibility. How they butchered her character to exhibit the 'Indian Bahu ' greatness.
DeleteUnfortunately though she does not even qualify for the best bahu. The day she left her home she lost that race as well. The best bahu would have stayed and surrendered to her mom-in-law and understood her husband's pain, according to indian tv' standards. At the end she is a bad daughter, bad bahu and a bad wife.
DeleteI think according to spoiler a while ago Sona gets drunk by mistake and will blurt out her feelings for Dev and according to another spoiler Dev knowing that Sona still loves him as much as he loves her will take Aasha's help and win Sona's trust. So this way Dev will fulfill his mom's wish by getting together with Sona (which Ishu is not expecting, boom, plan backfires) and he will get sona back in his life on his terms by winning her not because his mom wants to and both as a team will get Ishu to senses. So yah, everyone cheer up. Sorry guys for this impossible imaginative track.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit. Same old drunken rambling. I wish Sona says how much she dreads living under Dev's roof because of his Mummy devotion. I wonder what will he do then. Will he still pick Sona knowing that she doesn't want to live with his mother or back to Mummy to marry the girl she picks?
DeleteWell --- hmmm . Maybe she will and then he goes and does hero pandi at the Bose house ?
DeleteDon't hope ya --- with no shaheer for what 2 weeks --- probably lot more skippable episodes
When is he back by the way ?
Haila!!! Shaheer phir se bhaag gaya kya?
DeleteOk ---- like anonymous above - here's my take. Last time Ish took sleeping pills and dev threw her out
ReplyDeleteNow Bejoy took kasam so Sona is going to ask him to fly a kite !
And just as sona moved on - Dev will try to ? Or Dev the hero ---- will win over mom and shock his mom --- its sona or no one and then go to win sona back ???? I'm so f*** tired of this show
Anyone have other show suggestions ?
No hun. I got no suggestion. Every time I make a wish list, CVs screw up the characters some more. So I might as well keep my mouth shut. Let them make a mess of their script. By the way, I am on hunt for a better show with strong female lead. Any suggestions?
DeleteOff and on --- I watch ishqbaaz --- but it was too MCPish but not too bad now ! Loved the brotherly bit at first
DeleteI was told that Ishqbaaz will make my blood boil in anger because of the main male lead is a class A jerk. So I didn't watch it. But later a friend said that the male lead turned super sweet and protective in love.
DeleteYeah he's like this MCP turned Heera
DeleteLove the way he supports his wife --- some of it is OTT so I watch selectively ! :) but loved that new Shivaay. The love fee gradually based on trust and then respect . And now it's trying to fight their own bias and move Ahead so I am liking that part of it . I skipped it quite a bit also ---- watch selectively !
Sorry meant to say love and feelings grew gradullay
DeleteAh ok. I guess I can give it a try. I hope he doesn't have an Ishwari type amma... Lol. I am traumatised.
DeleteTia I don't recommend ib because I used to see that show but there is zero story that's all negative character keep adding .
DeleteTia guess what, In IB the mother in law started getting jealous and insecure of her daughter in law lol, despite knowing that this daughter in law loves her son and saved him many times, and the mother in law actually appreciated that and even accepted the girl but once she came to know how much her son loves the girl and is focusing on her a lot (they experienced a lot of life threatnening situations lately so they are concerned for each other and have eyes only for each other) the mother in law started playing the vamp in their life, now she is plotting to get them separated
DeleteBut yes the guy loves the girl so much and he is trying to ignore one of his most important principles (naam, khoon, khandan) for the girl he loves since she is more important to him that his most followed principles (the girl is orphan so nothing is known about her naam, khoon aur khaandan)
The guy hurted and insulted her a lot but once he accepted her as his wife, and knew what a gem of a girl she is, he is standing like a wall for her even against himself (his principle)
But as Divas Gyan said there are so many OTT things and illogical stuff in that show, the growth in the male lead's character and his relationship with the heroine is good
So yes you might see heropanti and appreciate how they are shields to each other but KRPKAB still is much more realistic than other shows, no one does something out of the world or shows super intelligence, ya super kameenapan, characters are grey and can be found in real life and many people don't change easily, I guess as viewers we can get a better viewing experience if we stop judging characters by our set of values or how a person should behave or according to what is right or wrong, one can view it as a story of flawed people who still didn't learn their lessons, people who maybe have their focus only one one angle and didn't get to see the whole picture yet, people who already had issues and whose fears have been heightened due to their failed experiences, people who might be lost still and yet to find themselves...
For now I decided to see it this way only, I still take into consideration that this is a hindi show so I won't be surprised if anything illogical or inconsistent is shown, but I guess I still can understand where characters come from (to some point)
Waise if you feel like it, you can check the weekly discussion thread, it has all kind of different opinions where many angles are explored, there are many ways to view things, for me it's always interesting to see things from angles different from the one I usually see things from.
Haila!!! Udhar bhi same locha? Copycat log. Nehin re baba. Maaf karo. Ek insecure, jealous mother kaafi hain. Mujhe aur mental patient nehin banna hain. Pehle iss chudail ko thikane lagau, phir sochungi. Lol. 😂
Delete😂
Delete😂
DeleteI have read and responded on that thread, but there are too many stifling rules and people are not allowed to point fingers on great Dev Dixit. Also there are some ridiculous theories like even the first break up was because of Sona and not Dev. Most post there don't make sense... Lol
DeleteLet it go, let it go (here)..
DeleteDon't hold it back anymore...
Bhaiya can be called dear and dumb here...
And Maiya can be called a chor... Lol... 😂
@JShukla I started reading that thread two or three weeks ago I guess so I don't know how it was like before. Now I find some good analysis of some good writers, I can't not generalize but some few of them are really good
Delete@Divas gyan You can watch Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan on voot if you have not seen it. My favorite Hindi show.Very good story and character sketch.
DeleteSo finally and officially CVS have brought down Bujouy's character along with Sona and Aasha. Good gob, well down, Keep it up. Durjoy Datta said that people can't be changed with time but they are successfully showing the characters changing for worse. Good moral. I don't understand why is it such a big deal for not being able to tell a story positively as long as they want by showing redemption of Ishwari and Dev and dynamics of relationships. Why are they messing up with this meaningless story line?
ReplyDeleteAre you surprised? I am not. This is the pattern of daily soap. They always bring down better characters to justify worse characters. We should be just used to it by now.
DeleteTommy
ReplyDeleteTrue. Dutta meant that if people change, they will change for worse, or no change. They will just continue to magnify their problems. But the thing is that human being do change when there's sufficient motivation. For example, when an alcoholic gives up alcohol to give his children a better life, a woman gives up her dream and ambition sometimes to raise their children, a student gives up cheating after being caught and punished.
ReplyDeleteSo it will be wrong to say that people don't change. I have changed since I got married and my husband changed too. He is a lot less short tempered now because he knows that I won't put up with it and I am a lot better at understanding people now because he taught me how to find out people's motive.
And we are both better person for it.
Anything that doesn't evolve, becomes stagnant or extinct. Change is the only constant. So may be the core nature doesn't change. But people can learn new skills. May be an angry man will always have hot temper. But for the sake of his family, he can learn anger management.
But there has to be a motive which is worthwhile in their eyes. Like if they don't change, they will lose the people they love. Then they will make the effort. Otherwise, why should they?

ReplyDeleteMust be tough living the life of a coward who doesn't even have the courage to reveal ones own identity to take time out and come to persons blog and throw filthy names at her. Trolling and name calling on a public platform is the norm now a days I know that. But to form a personal opinion about a person on her opinion on fictional characters is down right stupid and moronic. The kind of language used by you shows your own character. You trying to talk about the purity of relationship between people is kind of hypocritical. A person who respects relationships between a mother and child or even father and child can never speak in such a filthy language about a person who you haven't even met.
DeleteAnd criticise tia all you want. But to bring in her mother into it pretty low. Shows your upbringing and lack of respect for your own parents.
Deletehey Tia...do u have the privilege to delete posts...if so pls delete the above one.
DeleteSome mental psycho is stalking your posts and knows all about u and choses to use most colourful expletives which are actually more applicable for this person's personal favourite Dixits. I can imagine Dev as a Canadian dog and Ishwari as ***(explained by the above post).
Oh yeah...hide and snide...this shows what the above fan is actually made of
lol kavitha there is no point in maintaining any decorum with some small minded swine who has abandoned his/her own sensibilities in fangirling some fictional character, who is still mostly an asshole that clearly resonates with our gutless contributor here, that they do not even perceive the difference between a reel fantasy they defend and a real person they hurt. @anonymous asshole: since you spare no dignity through your language usage, I will not either. you are the prime example of how having two parents make no difference if they are inept at teaching you basic manners and instilling the guts and brains it takes to rationalize your point of view without resorting to non-sensical ranting. I happen to share Tia's opinions and raised by a single parent status and i married a fully indian man, and we've been happy for years now. thus your derogatory arguments about her husband- just on the basis of his skin colour- are fully void you ego driven chauvanistic mummy's pet. as for tia's so-called 'self-praise' maybe if you invested your own addled brain in anything beside this serial and slander, you'd realize that her analogies are about drawing realistic parallels from her own experiences. if you see that as self praise may be consider that its because tia has a lot to be proud of, which i doubt can be said about you. if you are under the assumption that somehow you've slung some mud at tia or her mother's character, then let me correct you- the only person who has been stripped naked of their dignity here is you and very sadly, by mentioning her parents, you've by default dragged the dignity of your own through the mud.
DeleteTia im sure is more than capable of tackling idiots like you but i just couldnt resist. opinions are welcome but petty emotional outbursts of a hormonal ego driven fangirl (the term sticks whether you are male or female) are not. please have your tantrums elsewhere. the blog is here to discuss not to indulge you mummy issues.
It is so easy to hide behind anonymity and speak in such a language which will definitely make your parent hang their head in shame. Your post just highlighted what poor upbringing is not Tia's.
DeleteThanks ladies. No worries. I deleted his/her comments. But kept yours. You know what? Let that duffer come here and post their comments. Why? Because
Delete1. They are increasing blog views and making my blog more popular. So keep commenting, moron, while we collectively laugh at you and your idiocy. And yes, hum bhari judge kar rahe hain tere poore khandaan ko.
2. They are actually showing what kind of filth they are. Them talking about my mother or my husband does not change a thing for them. My mother is still the awesome single mother she is and my husband is still the amazing person he is. What they are showing that what kind of person their parents must be to produce such filth. I pity them.
3. Hiding behind anonymous id and spouting nonsense just proves cowardice and stupidity since I can delete their comment while keeping all the people here who showed him/her their reality. Because guess what coward, you are in my democracy now. So good luck reading about your character certificate as provided by our panel of people with class. Happy reading. 😀
Oh and by the way 12,644 views in just a week. Take that and weep. High five, ladies!!!
DeleteShort. That moron keeps coming and writing comments and I will keep deleting them. Let's see how long they can keep up. 😁
DeleteLol. Sorry. The moron just bumped my blog to 12,670 views in less than 15 mins. Keep them coming so that I deprive you of the satisfaction of seeing your writing in my blog. Lol.
DeleteI think if you read the above comments @AnonymousAsshole you will realize what the world thinks about your parents' upbringing. but by all means keep spitting upwards.
DeleteI know, right? Now I am sure it's a he and I think because of his language pattern, I have also figured out who is he. He is forgetting that I studied English honours where we learned to do analysis on body of work along with writing style to identify author. It's funny the character he tried to conceal in IF, got revealed here. Because I have seen this writing style also in YouTube where he spreads his filth.
Deletedamn girl! your a better nancy drew than sona! lol...in hindsight that may not be that great a compliment anymore. @anonymousasshole see if tia was as big a troll as you she'd publicly say your name for us to all do your izzat arti in all forums. anonymously ofcourse
DeleteLol. Let it be. The coward tucked his tail between his legs and ran to his Mummy.
DeleteGreat Tia. I'm loving it more ...LOL . Probably this democracy was missed in IF.
DeleteYay!!! :)
DeleteDamn I missed all the fun, sad sad :(
DeleteYesterday's episode really disturbed me for some reason :( This show long stopped affecting me but 25 minutes of emotional abuse and manipulation was too much to take. I really have no idea what the writers intend to achieve by showing this. I thought the characters have become a joke and nothing makes sense now anyway but it was terribly disturbing to watch a manipulative mom and a stubborn dad bulldoze their way through their kid's feelings. I infact understand Bijoy's motivations a lot more than Ishwari's given how the later has always been insecure of anyone who makes Dev happy but the manner in which Bijoy went about it made me feel terrible. And I have no words for Ishwari. It was disturbing to see her manipulate her own son to this extent. All for what? Will they be happy to watch their kids miserable all their lives just because they have this abstract satisfaction that they kept their promise to them? I dont know if its just me but I felt suffocated watching the entire episode and I ended up thanking God for having utterly wonderful parents :D
ReplyDeleteP.S. Will Ishwari ever understand how much she has destroyed her kids thanks to her attitude? What will it take for her to see the truth? Can Dev attempt suicide or kill himself so all of us are saved from this trauma ? Cos while I really want Dev-Sona to reconcile after proper redemption and introspection, I wouldn't mind watching Ishwari suffer watching her dead son. Yeah, thats how much the episode disturbed me.
P.S.S. astrix here
I guess it won't be something that drastic 😂. It's going to be something much more simple I believe that ishwari will get to know about kathri and sona and the effort that sona put in to save her " self respect " and her family and her "raja beta" and she will feel some amount of remorse and her character will be shown as the best mother in law on the earth ever. End of story. New show!
DeleteEven in season one ishwari changed only when dev was down the path of self destruction but this time around I at least hope they show it because she has genuine change of heart.
DeleteI totally understand how you are feeling, Astrix. Keep in mind though, Bijoy did not ask Sonakshi to stay away from Dev. He asked her to tell the truth by swearing on him.
DeleteThat being said, yes, it would have been suffocating for me if I had not stop feeling any emotions for the character.
One thing you said is very right. Ishwari gets away with manipulation is because Dev lets her. Had he put a stop to her manipulation and refused to budge from his decision, she won't have been able to control him again. But he keeps repeating the same process over and over again. Who will fix a process which is producing stellar results?
Astrix and kavi, I will only rejoice when Ishwari is shedding buckets of tears over her dead son's body..it was that bad yday.
ReplyDeleteCVs shud just stop trying to make Ishwari look good by making her say "Marry Sonakshi"...what after that, she has never accepted her. She will interfere in Soha's upbringing. And then, we'll get another break up.
Why didnt Dev question his mother if she has accepted Sonakshi as bahu as that was the main reason of all trouble?
Why Dev listens and never questions? Does he need white hairs to do so? Color them white asap plsss.
Why does Ishwari manipulate given a single chance?
I'm seriously tired of all this going in rounds.
Now, Sona will ask him to marry someone else. He will go say YES to mummy darling. Girl chosed. Engagement day or before Sona gets drunk and blurts out some truths. Engagement not done.
S1 recycled this was in S2.
Whats the point in watching recycled garbage?
Will Dev ever stand up and try to earn love, respect and trust of Sona and Bijoy? Shouldnot he be doing that?
He knows she loves him. He knows he cant live without him. Cant he just realise the solution to all this is simple....earn the love back. Is it so difficult for him to do? *Urghhhhhhhhhhhh*
But you see wooing and earning love is hard work na.. how will a nanhi si jaan do it???
DeleteThanks for reminding...I had forgot his age you see...LOL
DeleteArrest Ishwari ...on the charges of forcing Baal-Vivaah!!!
LOL, u guys too much :D
DeleteTia, agree with all your points specially the one where you're forgiven without penance, then you end up learning nothing and take things for granted, repeat the same mistake.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed Sona-Bijoy convo.
Hate the rest of the Bose family.
Ishwari-Dev convo...I seriously am wishing Dev shud marry someone whom RR choses and Sona shud marry Jatin.
Dev, does not ,deserve any happiness neither does Ishwari. This guy knows he does not want to let go of Sonakshi yet wont move a single finger to do something to win her trust ,love back?
I dont have anything more to say about such a screwed up hero. Ishwari is ultimate vamp. No words to describe how much I detest her.
Sonakshi did one mistake. She shud have called Bijoy to ask for permission when extending her stay at the IN. She is far better when it comes to treating or handling Bijoy.
Asha needs double dose of Ishwari and Ronita's mom. I hope sometime in future, they make her cry buckets....these two samdhans.
Sourabh...he doesnot deserve a father like Bijoy.
Jatin-Sona shud marry and take Bijoy with them. Jatin-Sona,Soha and Bijoy. Sourabh,Ronita and Asha. All happy, me too happy.
I dont know how I am going to tolerate tonight's crap..
So, Dev needs a Jeevansathi...why doesnot he login to JeevanSathi.com to search for one instead of announcing it infront of Sonakshi? Did he think, by announcing this breaking news, she will accept that she loves him and wants to stay with him ...forever?
I want to hit him hard. What is lacking in your relationship is not love but trust. Earn it.*Urgghhhhh*
Perfect families, Gauri :D
DeleteJatin-Sona-Soha and Bijoy.
Asha, Suarabh and Raunita.
Ishwari, Dev, Agyakari suseel gharelu bahu, xGKB, Red, Elena, Mamaji and Golu.
All happy!
I know, right? Today I have another parallel to draw from the past. So stay tuned. I am saving it
Deletefor my post. 😉
Good post Tia. The way Dev internalizes his mom'd order is dismaying. When Ishwari was proposing his marriage, he was horrified by the idea but in the precap, he feels he needs a Jeevan saathi! Absolute 180 degrees! He is same Dev1.0 no change as mentioned by Durjay Dutta. What is mummy's order becomes his inherent wish. So where does that leave Sona? Why would Sona go thru the fire again? Bijoy as usual detected that there is is NO change in Dev, so why should he trust Dev?
ReplyDeleteYes, but that's his pattern, remember? He didn't want kids either and married an infertile woman willingly. Yet the moment his mother demanded kids, his needs changed too. Then he also wanted kids. So he is exactly who he was. Anyone who believes otherwise is Sonakshi the duffer.
Delete@fandw - I like Bujoy. His concerns so genuine unlike Ishwari. His dislike for Dev has a reason but Ishwari's dislike for Sona has no reason (being sona as a person). I don't understand how people compare these to individuals.
DeleteExactly. And Bijoy didn't give Sonakshi any ultimatum. He refused to stay and watch her making the same mistake all over again and he asked her to tell the truth to him on his swear. If you watch the scene, you will see that he is saying tell the truth on my swear. And then Sonakshi spoke. She did not promise anything. Unlike Ishwari who asked for Dev to marry for her as if it does not matter that another woman has to live with a man who loves another woman and watch him fawning over his daughter from his ex-wife as long as Ishwari gets her way. What kind of woman wants to ruin another woman's life because she doesn't want her son to be happy with someone she doesn't approve of?
DeleteTia, IB and krpkab are bhai bhai...but Shivaay is better off in terms of protecting and standing up for his love, that is only when he accepts he is in love. Now, that he confessed he loves Anika, his love is too good . But about the rest, I wont say a thing. Pinky is worse than Ishwari. And there are no Boses to like as well. So, take the risk of watching it if you want to...LOL...Well, by habitual practice of switching off the TV after 5 min of krpkab, I watch 5 min of IB almost daily ...hehe...its more than enuf to know the whole story :D..these days Shivaay just looks far better than Dev.
ReplyDeleteNow, that I think of it, Shivaay-Sonakshi and Maya-Dev actually look better off as couples...LOL
Really? But naa re. Can't tolerate Ishwari, how will I tolerate worse? 😐
DeleteReally awesome post....you really have an incredible sense of humour and the power to keep us hooked with your writing. I have been a silent reader to your thread ever since. But today I had to break out of my shell. I agree with all your arguments and yes the example you've used is very meaningful. It surely suits dev-ishwari equation. From where do you get all these ideas? Amazing analysis.
ReplyDeleteThank you. How sweet of you. I am fascinated by human life so I keep observing everything and I also have an over active imagination. Lol... Welcome to my blog. Feel free to write your thoughts. We would love to read them. 😊
DeleteThank you for such a warm welcome and yes I will surely vent out my thoughts. I will no longer remain a silent reader anymore. Thanks for encouraging and inspiring me.
DeleteOh you are most welcome hun.
DeleteI agree Tia. Ishwari din try manipulating Dev during those 7 years cos she knew Dev wouldn't give a damn. The moment he shows the slightest inclination or devotion towards her, she is back to emotionally strangling him. I dont know what kind of a reality the writers think they are showing. If this were reality, Dev would have either rebelled and ran away by now or committed suicide ages back. Am tired of hoping the writers will show something positive and mature for a change. We watch this show for entertainment yet most of us end up getting disturbed by it. Someone make a plausible prediction from this absurd emotional blackmail track which will help in sit through the episodes:D. Am really not interesting in watching another almost marriage track
ReplyDeleteYes. That's exactly it. She didn't get sick, died heartbroken in Dev's absence of 7 years who could not let Dev go to his honeymoon for 7 days. Because then Dev won't have given a damn about her. But the moment he did, she grabbed his collar. I had said when Dev forgave her without her penance that he will have to pay for this. Now he will pay.
DeleteLOL everyone is paying for their mistakes and I guess our mistake is that we are stuck to this show despite the fact that its on an endless loop. I cant even hope for something different or mature after reading Durjoy's blog:O
DeleteLol.. Durjoy's blog reminds me of famous quote' dekhna hai to dekho'

ReplyDeleteUpcoming scene pictures- Dev will probably agree to marry this girl out of guilt. Shaadi toh hone se rahi. Ridiculous twist.
Hope dev marry some girl bass sona ko baksh de
DeleteI hope he does. Because then at least he won't be able to screw up Bose family and Soha's life anymore.
DeleteI have a different theory. I believe that sona and dev are going to find out that these people have been collaborating with kathri in some way and have been cheating ishwari for so long. Mayya is going to bleached white and after some time both mayya and bejoy are going to be convinced that sona is the perfect bahu and dev the perfect son in law and show is going to shut shop.
DeleteAaarggghhhh... Kavi. Honestly what were CVs thinking? Where is Ishwari's redemption and getting over her insecurity that we were promised during promos?
DeleteExpected so much from d promos.
DeleteCvs are catering to crazy fans who keep tweeting and writing up on fan pages. What the cvs don't realise is these people are the minority mostly young people who have the time and skill to use social media. The cvs end up believing that it's the feed back. What they don't realise is that the new age mature majority viewers feel cheated. And they loose the niche audience they have gained.
DeleteI know the show should be watched with logic brain turned off.But it's not working 4 me :(
ReplyDeleteWhy is Sona behaving like a Ishbot? How could Asha be cool towards Dev when he keep on insulting Bijoy? Why does it feel like leap never happened? Hope Dev gets married again to some other girl and Sona if have brains left should marry Jatin.Nooo... Jatin deserves better than Sona.
Now I feel better :)
I totally agree with all your points. I don't even know why everyone is suddenly Dev and Ishwari worshipper. Why doesn't Asha and Saurabh give a damn that people from that family called them thief, tried to break Saurabh son's marriage through lies and threw them on the street? Even she got insulted in Dev's house by Radha where she could not stand for 5 minutes. Yet she keeps pushing Sona in the same hellhole. So much for progressive thinking.
DeleteTrying to comment for the seventh time. :( Why is this not working for me?
ReplyDeleteIt worked! It takes a couple of time to get used to the format maybe. 😊
DeleteIt worked now. Welcome, Siyali. :)
DeleteThank you Tia. I am a silent reader of your posts. I don't watch the show now but I enjoy reading your threads. Everybody here is so awesome.Congo on your blog.Keep writing and impressing :)
DeleteHello . You know I actually dont watch this show because it disturbs me. Ish machinations made me shudder, so I stopped. but it seems real some how . there seem to be many many MIL s who manipulate their sons' life. Get rid of the wife and my son is mine. Mothers day is on the way, and we are suppose to celebrate the purity of a mothers love. The unconditional love. The love that is suppose to be self sacrificing .The love that is suppose to show case "am happy if you're happy".
ReplyDeleteAnd that's why this show horrifies me. To the point that I actually feel personally affected. I want to feel that its insulting to motherhood and yet I cannot because I am aware that Ishwari's attitude is lifelike. Dont know about the MamI.. ..she's so exaggerated.
Hi Shah. Are you the one who wrote me the pm the other day? I posted that pm in my previous post. If you are, then thank you and welcome.
DeleteYes, it's disturbing to see how sometimes motherhood can also be distorted and used for selfish reasons.
I am actually writing about motherhood today. I think that when one turns mothers into some divine creature, it takes away their humanity.
Because divinity don't make mistakes and they are not wrong. They are above human follies. But mothers are human too. They can be wrong. And just like it's the parents duty to guide their children to the right path. It's the children's duty to guide their parents to the right path with due respect of course.
Yes I am , and i love your view points . You have found a fan in me.
DeleteThank you, Shah. Welcome to my blog. :)
DeleteSame old, same old. Why do producers pay the writers If they only have to recycle old story from the same show.
ReplyDeleteBhaiya is truly shameless, maa ne kahan shaadi karlo, to karlo. Mass ne kaha baccha paida karlo, to karlo, pathetic. Ye bande ka dimaag hai hi nahin, business man by foot.
BTW, Bijoy never took any promise from Sona, why is everyone saying he did. He only asked for the truth about her feelings for Dev, nahin. Baat khatam. Why is everyone blaming Bijoy that he won't let Dev and Sona to come together. And Asha, the lady who couldn't take taunts of IN for few minutes wants her daughter to be back at IN, maa ke naam pe dhabba hai ye Asha Devi. Ishwari and Asha are quite relatable. they both end up doing emotional torture and make the person think and do what they want and not what is good for them.
DeleteTia ne mera post nahin padha....:(. Humse hui kya khatha, ke Tia ne humko ignore kiya...akhir kyoun.
DeleteI think, people are so hell bent on comparing Bijoy with Ishwari that they are applying selective hearing. Bijoy asked Sonakshi to speak the truth. He asked Sona to swear on him and confirm that there is nothing else going on except what she told him. Considering Sona had said the same thing during Ritwik track but went running to Dev leaving his reputation in tatters, that's not an unreasonable question.
DeleteBut as usual people hear what they want to hear.
Ignore you? No dear. I didn't see this comment over the weekend. :)
