Tia's Thread - Intelligence!!!
Hello everyone,
Next weekend is long weekend for us (Victoria Day for Ontario). So my husband and I will be in Stratford Saturday to Monday watching plays as is our yearly tradition - one by Shakespeare (Twelfth Night) and one a musical (Guys & Dolls).
So I won't be writing this post next Monday, May 22nd.
But not to worry. I am leaving our very capable Ashi to open the thread and write it for you.
You know how incredibly funny and witty she is. I will drop in to respond/comment if we have time.
Love

Today, I'd like to start with a quote someone shared on my facebook account which I think tells you the sign of true intelligence. All credit belongs to The Positive Quotes.
That quote talks about the intelligence. No one has ever been happy holding on to their grudges. So letting the past go is definitely a very matured and a positive way to deal with problems.
However, intelligent people learn from the past. They don't hit delete on all the lovely lessons past leaves for us to make us smart in the future.
If people look back in the happier times for fond memories, they should also look back in the tough times for life lessons.
There is no harsher but effective teacher than life and life's experiences. They not only shape our mind but also shape our character.
Wiping them clean means we are not only stunting the growth of our intelligence but also we are stagnating our character.
And we all know what happens when anything stagnates. Yep, it starts to stink and rot.
Which is what I can say about a lot of people in the show.
EPISODE: The episode starts with Radha lamenting that because of Ishwari's heart attack, her planning got spoiled. She had sic Ishwari on Dev's re-marriage. And now Sona and Dev are stuck on each other like flies on honey paper.
She blames Vicky for not paying attention. She wishes she knew this truth about Ishwari's stealing. She could have blackmailed Ishwari and make her dance to her tune.
Vicky says that he is enjoying this. Ishwari used to spout sermon morning, noon and night. When he used to come home, they used to sing temple songs. Now see how they are crying. Now if they raise finger on him, he will show them their status. Now it's time to party. He didn't think that these people are bigger thief than him and his mother.
Radha turns suddenly: Vicky, your aunt has got heart attack and you want to party? See, my enemy is Sonakshi. Not Ishwari and Dev. If Dev sees you laughing, then he will...
Vicky says that Dev can't do anything now. If they even try to throw them out, he will publish Ishwari's stealing in newspaper.
Me: I don't get Radha. First she says that if she knew about this news, she would have make Ishwari dance in her tunes. Then she says that her enemy was Sona, not Ishwari and Dev. Really? Who blackmails their family and friends?
Vicky is totally on character. I had said that a long time ago that Ishwari tries so hard to be a Goddess that she is destroying her humanity.
But the consequence of being a God is that you can't slip from the pedestal. You have to stand there at all times, above reproach and flawless. Because when a God falls from the pedestal, they fall lower than the low (Vicky) and there is no forgiveness for them.
Human being, on the other hand, can make mistakes because they are humans. And that same humanity also gets them forgiveness.
That's why being a human is so much better than being a God.
Elena calls Vicky asking for Ishwari. Vicky shouts at her. Elena says that kids are asking for Ishwari. What will she tell them?
Vicky says that it's not his concern. He asks her to figure it out. He asks her to give them chocolate.
Me: Now, wouldn't it have been better if Asha and Saurabh had gone to Dixit house and offered to babysit the kids so that Elena could be at the hospital instead of them trying to show off their concern which no one cares about?
I am trying to understand what will Asha and Saurabh's presence achieve in hospital which Vicky, Mama and Radha - not to mention Sonakshi can't handle. Bhaiya might be useless. But he is surrounded by people.
Just then Soha wakes up. She asks about her Dadi and wants to talk to her.
Elena makes excuses that they went out.
Soha says that her mother never goes anywhere without telling her.
Me: Wah!!! What confidence in her mother and no expectations from her father.
Elena tells her that they are planning a surprise for her.
Just then Golu wakes up and asks if he is also getting a surprise?
Elena says that both will get surprise. She says she will call them and ask. She leaves hurriedly.
Soha, the mini detective, gets suspicious. She says: You are lying, Beautiful. Dadi's health is not good.
Me: Hain? Is she also those doctors now? She is even better doctor than Sona. She checked Ishwari's pulse and knew. Here she knew just by sniffing Ishwari in the middle of the night when she was showing absolutely no symptom of being sick.
CVs re. Aur kya kya khel dikhana baki hain? (What other crap do you have left to show?)
At hospital, the doctor says that Ishwari is critical and not responding to treatment. Bhaiya panics. Sona is back on damage control mode.
Mamaji asks what did the doctor say. Sonakshi responds.
Bhaiya leaves from there like a zombie. Sonakshi tries to follow him.
Mamaji stops her.
Sona: He can do anything in anger.
Mamaji: He won't do anything. I know him.
Me: Thank you, Mamaji. Behena was taking her babysitter role a bit too seriously.
Behena, are you kidding me? I know he behaves worse than Golu. But he is not Golu's age. Even if he does something in rage, then how will you stop an adult man? So please, go home or not, your choice. But for eff's sake, shut up and sit down. I can't tolerate hovering people and people complaint about Bijoy who is actually your father.
At Bose house, Ronita brings tea for Bijoy.
Bijoy asks if she also came to tell him something.
Ronita says that she just wants to talk.
Bijoy says that this is exactly what Sona had come to tell him when he was about to leave from here. She sweared on his head that there's nothing between her and Dev. But she again got involved with him.
He had thought that she understood. But no. Ronita dear, I had seen her going through pain and it all happened because of that family.
Ronita says that she knows how much he loves Sona and that's why he worries for her.
Me: How surprising that Ronita understand Bijoy who only joined this family a few days back. But Asha and Saurabh mock him for his concern.
Bijoy says that he worries for all his children. But they should also worry for him, naa?
You guys think that you can take all your decision on your own. But also involve me, discuss with me. Or now father has become redundant now that he got old.
Me: Ah, it hurt me to see Bijoy struggling to understand why after all his loyalty, protection and love, his family has made him into an outsider. I will tell you why Bijoy. You have let Asha mold your entire family's thinking. I always say that you should always work for equality. Just like a man taking his wife for granted is wrong, the same way a woman taking her husband granted is also wrong. In your house, Asha rules the roost. So what she thinks about you, everyone follow that thinking like sheep.
If she thinks you are an idiot and needs to be handled like a kid, that's how everyone else treats you.
You want to be treated with respect? First stand up for your dignity. People who live under a giant tree, doesn't know harsh sunlight until that tree is not there anymore and everything it was shielding them from hit them directly. You are that tree who had been standing between your family and real world. Move away and let them face it on their own. Very soon they will realise how it feels when no one is fighting on their corner and they have to fight everyone of the misfortune coming their way alone.
Ronita says why is he saying that? They all need him very very very much.
Bijoy says that may be she needs him. But Saurabh and Sona don't need him.
Ronita says if he doesn't mind, can she say something?
Bijoy says that she can ask him anything.
Ronita says that she is also someone's daughter. Like him, her father loves her too. But he should think why Sona will do all this purposefully? He knows that she is doing this for Soha. Whatever happens in that house, will impact their girl directly.
Bijoy says that that's why Soha should not say there. Nothing good happens there.
Ronita says what is he saying? How much a daughter needs her father's love, who can know more than him? And Soha loves her father so much. Doesn't she have any right to be there with him?
Bijoy says what does she want? That he should let happen blindly whatever is going on?
Ronita says that all she is saying is to trust Sona. Whatever is happening, it's happening for Soha. She just met her other family. If she has to lose her grandmother due to illness, how will she feel?
Just then Dida calls Ronita. She leaves. (Me: CVs, it's not aaschish, it's aaschi.)
Bijoy ponders over Ronita's words.
Me: Ronita, you have made very good points. Bijoy, please listen to Ronita's points. She is giving you an unbiased point of view.
But Ronita, a few things you should know. The reason Bijoy can't trust Sona about Dev Dixit anymore because Sona's behaviour in the past had not been trustworthy when it came to Dev and his family. She had lied, hid true situation and even played with Bijoy's reputation for him.
So Bijoy may not separate Soha from Dev and his family, but trust is not something that is easily put back together once broken. And here his trust was broken multiple times.
At Dixit house, Soha is praying to God to get her Dadi well soon and take care of her Dad. Her mother says that her Dad stays angry with God and he never shares anything with Him. But he is her Papa and she trusts God. So he should help her. She promises that she will be a good girl and one day will make her father friends with Him. Then he will give Him lots of sweets.
Me: I don't understand when and in what context Sona shared this little pearl of knowledge with Soha about Dev's atheism towards real God vs. worshipping false Goddess as in his mother.
Secondly, I still don't know what made Soha come to the conclusion that her Dadi is sick when she did not show any sign of sickness in front of her. Heck, she wasn't even looking sick when she was taunting Sona being an outsider. So what now, CVs? Psychic power?
Third, Soha seems to have taken after her Dadi. Bribing God to get her job done. Excellent. Bijoy is wrong. Soha is more suited to be here than at Bose house.
So of course, simultaneously Bhaiya comes to hospital temple. Soha got the dad (Shiva), so Bhaiya caught the son (Ganesha). But both got into bribing mode.
Bhaiya says to Ganesha that his Mummy says that pain is that nector which washes off sins.
Me: Hain? By what logic? You know Bhaiya, your mother makes up these shitty quote sounding statements to justify her misdeeds and you think they are gospel. Why don't you use the actual God-given brain instead of fake Goddess-given quote for a change?
Bhaiya continues: Now I understand her sadness, her sins and her regret. Maa says a lot of things. But I don't listen. She also says that you listen to everything she says. You know everything.
Me: Dear God, my condolences for having to listen Maata's nonsense. And Bhaiya, worry not. Who says that you don't listen to your Mummy. You listen to them so attentively that you also have memorised her nonsense quotes like scriptures.
I will give you an example of how you tune out pertinent information. Sona had said repeatedly that you missed out on Soha's childhood because of your mother. Did you remember those statements when you kept passing on your mother's deeds on her? No. So obviously you didn't pay attention to Sonakshi.
See the difference?
Bhaiya continues: Mummy says that you are beyond petty fights. Then why are you doing this to me? When Mummy thought Sonakshi was pregnant 8 years ago, I came to you. I folded my hands and wished for a miracle. But you didn't do it. I lost and you won. But my loss wasn't enough. You punished me too. You kept me away from my daughter for 7 years. I got separated from Sonakshi. You want me to fold my hands, beg you, admit defeat in front of you? Then so be it.
Bhaiya folds hands and Behena sees everything.
Me: Oookay. Bhaiya, let me tell you something. As far as asking for help goes, your process sucks. Big time. If I was God, I'd give you a few more kick on your backside for that shitty excuse of prayer.
Allow me to enlighten you.
God is not out there to pick on you. There are billions of people out there and millions of them have more pain in their life than you. So trust me, you are beyond insignificant in His eyes.
Secondly, he didn't do anything to you. You did everything yourself with Mummy's help.
The lies you told, was all you.
The stand you didn't take based on the solo decision you made, was also you.
After the lies got revealed the cowardly act you did, was also you.
If anything, you should be grateful that your wish for miracle got granted.
But the fact that you didn't meet that miracle, was also you who never bothered to check if the infertile woman is alive or dead.
You got separated from Sonakshi was also thanks to you.
So don't go blaming God for your idiocy.
God doesn't need your selfish whining when you need his miracle and blaming the rest of the universe including him when you don't get your way.
Bhaiya: I admit that I am nothing. You can change fate. But don't punish my mother for this. Whatever punishment you need to give, give it to me. You have given my mother nothing but pain, suffering and regret. She always worshipped you. I didn't bring anything to offer you. But God, please accept my tears as flowers for offering. Consider my defeat as your sweets, consider my folded hands as ghee and sandle wood. Just get my Mummy well.
Sona comes running. (Me: Of course. She can't just stay the eff away)
She goes into consolation mode on repeat.
Me: No really. Count since this morning how many times Bhaiya whined and Behena went in crisis management mode. Started with them going out looking for Khatri, then in Khatri's home, then outside Khatri's home, then on the road, then on Dixit doorstep, then inside Dixit house, then in hospital and now again.
I am sorry. I can't translate anymore. Just imagine Bhaiya saying these five lines on repeat in various combination.
- It's all my fault
- My Mummy is the best
- It's not her fault
- It's everyone else's fault
- My Mummy's pain/sadness/suffering yada yadi yada...
Now imagine Sona's response these five lines on repeat in various combination.
- It's not your fault.
- Control yourself/Calm down
- Your mother needs you
- Be strong
- You are the best. We all think you are the best.
Anyhoo, Bhaiya says that his Mummy is his strength. The foundation of his home. If she doesn't live, nothing will survive. He won't survive. Nothing will survive.
Me: And this is why kids need to learn to stand on their own feet and not be in this weird clingy relationship. Whose parents live forever? If people can't live when their parents die, then the human race will be wiped out.
The fact that Bhaiya conveniently forgot his miracle which he was whining about and thinking of going sati with Mummy is the proof of their unhealthy relationship.
Heck, people even keep on living after they lose their children and that's the most painful reality of all.
What a wimp.
Sona says: Nothing will happen Dev. You are not just a son. You are a dad, an uncle. You have to be strong. When Mummy didn't give up, I won't let you give up.
Dev: Sonakshi...
Sona: Nothing will happen to Mummy...
Me: And nothing will happen to you either Bhaiya. New Mummy hain naa. Sona, aur kaun? Aapka to Mummy ke bina chalega nehin.
(New Mummy is here, no. Sona, who else? You can't survive without Mummy)
Asha and Saurabh come there.
Mamaji: Behenji, you are here? (With expression, what the eff are they doing here?)
Asha is all chummy: Sona told Saurabh about my darling best friend Ishwari. How is she?
Mamaji (awwwkwarrd): She is better. Doctor is trying their best.
Asha: And how is my darling, adorable Dev? Where is Sona?
Me: They didn't show Mamaji's expression. But my expression was like this.
Sonakshi is sitting alone and thinking about Ishwari's heart attack.
Asha comes there. Sona starts crying hugging Asha.
Me: Itna rona to apne baap ke heart attack ke time bhi nehin aaya tha behena ko. Now come to think of it, tab behena royee kahan thi? Tab to apne ex ko tashan dene mein busy thi.
(She didn't even cry this much when her own dad had an heart attack. In fact, come to think of it, she didn't cry at all. She was too busy blaming Dev)
Asha says: Cry, as much as you want cry. I won't stop you. Heart feels lighter when you cry.
Sona: I wanted to fix everything, Maa. Everything happened because of me.
Me: Glad you understood. Next time mind your business huh? They don't need you to fix anything. In fact, they don't need or want you. Period.
Asha: No, Sona. Don't say that. Didn't doctor say that she will get well?
Me: Hain? When did he say that?
Sona: No Maa. It happened because of me. I interfered in their life. Whatever was going on, they were handling. What was the need for me to interfere?
Me: Because darling, just like Bhaiya, you are also Mummy is always right kind. And that shitty advice came from your Mummy.
Asha: Look Sona, I won't ask what's going on and what happened because you won't tell me...
Sona: Why won't I tell you...
She stops in mid-sentence.
Sona: I can't tell you Maa. I tried to fix everything. I am very bad Maa. I was wrong.
Asha: Shut up. Why are you blaming yourself? All I know is that my daughter can't do anything wrong for anyone. She can't think wrong.
Sona: My intention was not wrong, Maa.
Asha: I know.
Sona: I just wanted to fix anything... But everything happened suddenly... And it's not even Dev's problem. First the problem, then here... (Me: Total blabbering. Could not make heads or tails of the rest)
Me: One second behena. Sorry to interrupt your much needed frustration outlet. But are you listening to yourself?
Your mother won't point out. But allow me.
1. Why did you want to fix everything that was none of your business? Would you walk into Khatri's house and try to fix his problem? That's the first question you should ask yourself.
2. You are again using the same excuse Dev used every time. Sorry I effed up but my intention was not wrong. Who the hell cares? The wrong can't be made right using intention. It's doesn't feel better standing on the receiving end of unwanted good intention forced on someone. And who knows that better than you? Dev was right. You are now season one Dev who is blindly following Mummy's suggestion and using good intention to justify your actions.
Asha: Enough. You can cry in front of your mother. But you can't cry in front of Dev. You are his courage. If you cry, then what will happen to him, tell me. If you want to help someone, then be strong yourself. Otherwise, how will you help others? I don't know what's going on between you and Dev. But anyways, I know that only you have to be strong for Dev. I know that my daughter can't fail. Whatever she does, she will do well and she will do for the good.
Me: Wow. What confidence in your daughter, Asha. Without knowing all the details, you are damn sure that everything Sona does, she does it the best. Then when she was handling Dev her way in Bose house, why did you assume that she was wrong and you knew better? Oh, at that time she wasn't hanging all over Dev and thus ruining her one shot towards marriage alter. So that's when she was totally wrong at all times. But now that she is hanging all over Dev, she is absolute perfection.
I wonder what will be your reaction when you find out that Bhaiya is all set to get replacement for your daughter's service? Would you still say that Sona is his courage and she should stick like a glue as third wheel?
At Bose house (not sure if this is next day), Ronita brings Bijoy medicine. Bijoy refuses to take the medicine saying that he won't take medicine since no one cares about him.
Ronita very sweetly says that she is also like Sona didi to him. Please take medicine.
Dida comes there and says that Ronita doesn't need to bang her head against the wall. If she continues to try here, that's what will happen. She asks Ronita to keep the medicine there.
Ronita says that Asha has asked her to give Bijoy medicine.
Dida says that she will take care of it. She asks her to go.
Ronita goes from there.
Dida tells Bijoy that she will stand there until he takes his medicine.
Bijoy says that he is not a ten years old child to forget his medicine. She should not hover over him.
Dida says if he is getting angry? Sona must also get angry when Bijoy crosscheck her every move, every decision. Sona is also not a ten year old kid. Still he stands over Sona's head. He did the same with Sona, then he will do the same with Saurabh and then he will do the same with Ronita. Did she teach him this? Did she raise him like this? When someone close is sick, he sits at home like retired old man and mumbles? He didn't even ask how they were doing let alone helping them? He didn't even ask. He is not her son. He is doing wrong, he is wrong. But she is not the kind of mother, like he is a father. Come on, the medicine is here. If he wants to have it, he can.
Me: Dida, great dialogue. By the way, when your son was in hospital suffering from heart attack, where were you and where was these close relatives you were talking about?
Is he behaving rudely? Yes. Well, scold him for taking out his frustration on Ronita which she doesn't deserve.
But you never had to crosscheck Bijoy's decision because he didn't run after a woman and kept getting his heart broken. Bijoy doesn't hover over Saurabh or Ronita either because they never broke his trust. Sonakshi did. Over and over again and for the same man.
So not the same scenario.
And the people you are talking about, where were they when you were homeless? Did they ask then how a woman of your age is surviving on the street?
So if Bijoy doesn't want to find out whether they are living or dead, that's because he doesn't care. He should not have to pretend to show off to Dev that you guys care so much.
Anyhoo, the doctor says that Ishwari didn't get heart attack. She just had a blockage and hence she got sick.
She is better now. It's good that Sonakshi gave Ishwari medicine at home. Otherwise her condition could have worsened.
Bhaiya looks at Behena (Expression: Should I need to hire her again as Mummy's caretaker? May be she can also be my new wife's dietitian?).
Behena looks at Bhaiya smiling (Expression: See? I am so useful. Do you like me now?)
Asha, Radha and Vicky standing there with different expressions. None of them are looking happy to hear Ishwari survived.
Me: Looks like God got sick of listening to whining. Also, Ishwari didn't have heart attack. How will she get heart attack with plastic heart? You need a real, beating heart to get a heart attack no?
That brings me up to a question. What help Asha and Saurabh provided? Other than Asha's pep talk which she could have said on phone?
May be she just wanted to SHOW that she was there to help as opposed to actually helping.
The doctor says that Maataji needs bed rest (Me: And poking her nose in other's business? What about that, doctor?) and should not have any stress (Translation: Do as she says or she is gone gonna gone, never come).
Bhaiya wants to see Mummy. The doctor says that he can see her.
Bhaiya runs to Mummy. Then Sona remember that she is also a Mummy. She calls Soha.
Elena tells her that Soha is standing by the temple. She hands Soha the phone.
She asks about her parents and her Dadi and wonders if she gets well.
Sona says that she will get well.
Sona says that Papa is taking care of Dadi and they are all praying for her.
Me: I still don't get it why no one is shocked to know that Soha knows that Ishwari is sick. How? Why? What the eff? Even Elena is not surprised that Soha knows everything despite her lies.
Ishwari wakes up in her room and calls Bhaiya.
Bhaiya asks how is she? She scared everyone so much. How many times will she do this drama? He even shouted at the doctor for her. He came to take care of her and fell asleep.
He asks if she wants water. He gives her water.
He says that doctor told her to rest. So she should just rest now.
Nurse comes there and says that Ishwari should just rest now and eat only light food.
Bhaiya says that his mother doesn't understand light food. She puts four spoon of ghee in his light food.
Nurse scolds him for joking at her serious condition.
Bhaiya says that people here don't get his joke. He will see if he can get some tea before food.
He is about to leave when Ishwari stops him.
Me: Ah, now the spoiler promo makes sense. Ishwari needs light food which she doesn't understand. But who understands? Sonakshi, the nutritionist. So Sonakshi got a new job offer. Sorry not job. Volunteer opportunity without pay. Congratulations, your hard work bore fruit behena.
PRECAP: Ishwari asks for forgiveness from Dev. He says that she can scold him, beat him. But she can't ever ask for forgiveness from him.
Just then Sonakshi comes there with Maalti and Kajal and calls his name.
Everyone gets shocked.
Me: And interference queen is back in business. As we all know. She learned nothing despite her regret in front of Asha.
No Rules!!! YAY!!!

No Rules!!! YAY!!!
Very nice quote Tia. This is exactly what I always believed in.
ReplyDeleteForgive but dont forget since lessons learnt shud never be forgotten. Remember them so that you never end up doing the same mistake twice.
I had always wanted Sona to showcase this quality. Somewhere I think she did it .
But then her kindness knew no limits when it came to Ishwari. I can understand her helping him out. I can understand her giving him some friendly advice. But I cant see her always trying to do what ideally he shud be doing. Friends dont do that...wives do.
If Sonakshi had to go to this length ,endangering her life with Khatri to get Ish's approval for marriage to Dev/acceptance from her, I dont think these two ever need to e a couple. Their love shud have made them put in efforts to work on the relationship with each other's parents. But no.
The kind of effort Sona has put in to be accepted by Ish, I wish to see the same effort or even more to be put in by Dev in near future. Only then,I'll be happy.
I'm loving Bijoy more, Asha less,Sourabh even lesser these days.
Wont say you need to do tit for tat everytime but it doesnot mean we shud poke our nose into other's business. In btwn, I stay with so many relatives, anyone ends up in hospital, can I always go running? There has to be more priority level set. Some are best friends, some are friends, some are colleagues.
These things are taken care of by the way behave with each. the kind of concern you have for your Best Friend, you wont have for your colleague. So, in case both end up in hosp, you obviously end up being there for Best Friend.
Now, I still cant understand how can Asha,Sourabh end up in the hospital for Ishwariji even after knowing both the families were not even on "colleagues" term.
I had friends in childhood who arent friends anymore, so I'll go running to hospital for all of them...isnt that too much of ridiculousness?
Goodness and interference are synonymous in krpkab. They just dont know how to stay separate from each other.
Gauri, as usual you have hit the nail on the head. Asha and Saurabh are showing off as if they are so concerned for Ishwari that they are running to hospital. But for what reason? Ishwari doesn't even like them. If anything she will get pissed off seeing them. You know what will be really helpful? If they had instead ran to Dixit house and baby sat Soha and Golu so that Sona and Elena can be where they are worry free.
DeleteI am very much a practical person. When I am sick, I expect to see only the people I like. I don't want to see the face of people I'd rather never see. As it is people have less patience when they are sick. Why bother them?
Bijoy would have only pissed Ishwari off and not to mention his concern would have been fake.
But since Asha is all about other people think, I am not surprised what she put more values on.
Sonakshi might say a lot of things. But her attitude doesn't support her claim. Then how would anyone else believe her?
As you mentioned, to forgive is divine. To forget is idiocy. Be divine and the bigger person. But don't be a bloody moron.
i hate to say this i am not liking sona asha ...behaving mahaan...ish won't go ga ga over sona any day she wants a slave like elena but sona isn't that so deal cancel ..
Deletesona wants approval from ish is joke .
dev is useless why sona wants him ?puzzles me not enough of his selfishness and manipulative brain and spinelessness i feel sona crave for more ..
devish might throw sona one day keeping soha for themselves then may be sona come to senses ....
bijoy poor man good deed he wants to do but no one cares why he bothers when sona ready to fall in manhole herself ...next time he needs to throw her out ...
I'm confused as to why people think that the promo is positive. I see Ishwari's word play again, Sona was her bahu, but she was never Sona's mother-in-law. Even today, Sona acted like a bahu and not a beti, Ishwari's daughters don't care about her. Ishwari said the same thing during the pregnancy track, that Sona should give herself time to be a daughter-in-law. I'm not sure why Ishwari thinks it's Sona's responsibility to be a daughter-in-law but not her responsibility to be a mother-in-law. Whoever writes Ishwari's dialogues is skilled at twisting words.
ReplyDeleteI don't care if Sona and dev ever get back together, but I hope it's not because of Ishwari or Suhana. I hope Dev works to set things right before he jumps into marriage.
I would prefer that Dev and Sona work their relationship out and then tackle the mess that is Ishwari.
I totally agree. It's not just a daughter-in-law's responsibility to make space for her in her new home, but also a mother-in-law's responsibility to give her the space. One can't expect one person constantly fighting for every little crumb for forseeable time. Sonakshi could not be a daughter-in-law because she tried to be a daughter and Ishwari could not be neither a mother nor a mother-in-law nor a woman because of her selfishness.
DeleteWhy do they need to tackle people like Ishwari? Talking from my personal experience, such people should be left alone so that they can repent on their sins since they are stubborn enough to consult a psychologist and w/o psychologist's help, they are not able to admit their mistakes due their narcisstic personality disorder.
DeleteExactly. Dono Maa-bete ke liye psych ward hain naa. Wahan bhej do, wohi log handle kar lenge.
DeleteArey psyche ward me bhi tu insaan hote ha... hell is the perfect place for the duo... yeh dono sb dunya se alag duo ha... chalo maata ko hi mardo...Atleast Maata jee ki age bhi hogi ha... when will she go to hell where she faces the hell dogs and they ,too, subject her to emotional, narcissistic, psychological, mental, har kism ki abuse.
Deletearey tia she will preach the doctor about tree and soil and they will end up psychic like her e aurat kisiko bi pagal karsakti hai
Deletesona is ready to be halal why we need to think about sona
Deletedev is death for ish and ish chanukya who knows to tackle sona with her twisted brain
Thats a dream...Dev doing anything for his love alone...not anchored by Suhana or Maiya.
ReplyDeleteRead Saheli's article which says Dev being a hero is a Myth. Agree.
He is a normal neighbourhood boy with good looks and loads money. Thats it.
Its just us who were expecting something heroic from this guy.
And if he is not the hero, dont expect he'll do anything. He'll only feed fodder to his maa and sona.
He will always remain sandwiched. Forever. Doin absolutely nothing.
Sahil Sarabhai reminded me of this...LOL.
Please don't compare iconic sarabhai characters with this crap psycho characters.Sarabhaivs sarabhai is on another different league.
Deletewell said guari
DeleteDev being a hero is indeed a myth.
DeleteEven regular neighbourhood rich guy is not this much of an airhead. Dev doesn't need to do "dishoom-dishoom" or spout romantic lines to be a hero, he just needs to say what he wants and have the courage to stand by it no matter who is in front of him. The current Dev changes his tune depending on who he is interacting with.
DeleteGauri, don't break my heart and compare Sahil Sarabhai with this sample. Sahil spoke up and he spoke logically. Maya taunted Monisha's over budgeting but she never tried to separate Sahil from his wife. You can compare Rosesh Sarabhai with Bhaiya. Mommy, Mommy... You are the best. You are my birdie, I am your egg inside your expensive nest. 😂
DeleteArre no...I didnt compare Sahil Sarabhai with Bhaiya...I wont even dream about it.
DeleteIts just that watching him in the 1st epi of SS2 reminded me of Bhaiya getting sandwiched always theory.
Sahil is class and Bhaiya is crass. No comaprisons.
In btwn SS2 epi 1 is awesome...loved all of them
Hi Tia, nice and an useful quote in life. Sonakshi is a lost case; she has, will and always be waiting for ishwari's approval. Almost everyone accepts that ishwari and dev both suffer from psychological disorders. It's this obsession they've towards each other that doesn't leave any space for any other person in their lives, be it Sonakshi or Soha now. Dev obsessed over soha bcoz he thought he couldn't get her, once that was over his obsession is gone with the wind. Ishwari's obsession of soha was bcoz she knew she's the path through which her son would return to her.
ReplyDeleteNow coming to Sonakshi, she too seems to have developed a psychological problem, that's "people pleaser." This is an article I read about BPD and related issues. If not all of the, at least most of them do correlate with Sonakshi's actions now.
Typically, the intense need to please and care for others is deeply rooted in either a fear of rejection and/or fear of failure. Fear of Rejection is the underlying feeling that, “If I don’t do everything I can to make this person happy they might leave or stop caring for me.” Fear of Rejection can come from early relationships in which love was conditional or in which you were rejected/abandoned by an important person in your life. Fear of Failure is the underlying feeling that “If I make a mistake, I will disappoint people and/or be punished.” Fear of failure can arise from early experiences with severe punishment for even small mistakes. People who had highly critical parents or loved ones may develop a people-pleasing pattern. Early experiences with harsh criticism or punishment can lead to significant anxiety upon attempting a task. Even though the parent or other important person in your life who doled out the criticism may no longer be in your life, anxiety is an emotion that can live on for a very long time. To deal with that anxiety, we do everything we can to get things right, finish the job, and make sure everybody is happy.
since your name is not available I don't know what to address you. But you have explained the character of sona really well. I was trying to put a finger on her basic people pleasing nature and craving for approval. I could never understand why a successful person like her character is shown to be doing stuff like this. But your write up has given me a better idea. Thank you.
DeleteHey, sorry to barge in but can I suggest you something? Many psychological disorders have similar symptoms and they can be very misleading at times. This is why we can confuse them.
DeleteBPD is a serious mental disorder whose symptoms lead to prove borderline insanity. Even the minor changes in person's personality show extreme attitudes. Hence, Sonakshi is not suffering from it.
This link might help you out.
https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/topics/borderline-personality-disorder/index.shtml
Ishwari is the one who suffered from BPD. Her character will fit the disorder to T.
Regarding Sonakshi, she suffers from
Rescuer Syndrome
People suffering from Rescuer Syndrome want to help people who they feel need their help (suffering from psychological disorders). They will go to extremes to help them out which might seem to appear that they are people pleasers. They may become people pleasers but their intention is not to please people but to rescue them.
Rescuer Syndrome - Rescuer Syndrome is when a non-personality-disordered individual assumes that their own strength, skill and knowledge are adequate to compensate for a personality-disordered individual's behavioral issues.
Many Chosen Non-PD’s are fixers, rescuers and well-meaning individuals who try to use their own ability to bring about change in others through the power of influence, persuasion, coercion or charm.
And who encourages her to be the sacrificial lamb? Asha the great. How can it be explained?
This kind of self sacrifice is sometimes encouraged by popular cultural and religious beliefs. There is a strong cultural narrative that teaches us that it is more noble to give than to receive and that those who adopt this philosophy will prevail in the end. Many of our cultural heroes are people who martyred themselves or sacrificed themselves for a cause. Some of us, while we are suffering in silence, privately hope that we are winning the admiration of friends and family for doing so.

You help me understand a lot of points. nice post. BTW i read your awesome adieu post on IF.
DeleteYes J. I did! Just like Tia was treated unfairly, I was treated in much worse way. They banned my account twice. Once for saying that Ishwari is every psychology student's fav. character and second time when I pointed out bloopers in the show. So, with the little self respect I had, I went away.
Delete@Kavitha Asha- thank you and welcome.
Delete@BashingHater-thank you for the article, will read it for sure.
Wow. That's an excellent analysis and absolutely spot on. Yes, Sonakshi has a people pleaser attitude. However, as we all know, you can't please everybody. So Sonakshi needs to learn that in the end, everybody is responsible for their own happiness. If you don't care about your own happiness, no one else will either.
DeleteHi Tia, waiting for your update, skipped episode, no more patience for this ma-beta romance. Just saw the precap-if this girl Sonakshi brought them there and if in anyway the family apologizes to this ishwari, I'm seriously done with this crap. So will decide tomorrow if I should further waste my 20 minutes on this show or not.
ReplyDeleteso true ....
DeleteI too agree with this.
DeleteIt was a good decision. Trust me, you didn't miss much.
Deleteawesome title and quote tia superb
ReplyDeletethis quote suits my relative sister jyothi i told u her story she forgave that creeppe hubby of her or rather some stranger but never trusted him proving herself intelligent .......when i saw that quote her face popped in ...only few are matured enough to forgive and not dumb but few take there lives and few go back to be dumb
3 types do exists but what route will sona take we have to wait and see she won't disappoint dixits but bijoy will be heartbroken for sure ...next time bijoy should disown sona never to entertain her in future if things go same as before ....
Thanks Shailu. I honestly don't know what road Sona will take. But knowing her, she will say no and mope around. Then everyone will blame it on Bijoy.
DeleteTia your write up is so true. I learned it the hard way but learned this lesson for good. And am a much happier person for it.
ReplyDeleteI have nothing much to comment on the episode though. Sona is behaving like this because of the example she had in front of her. Asha her mother who is behaving like some all understanding and all forgiving spiritual guru sprouting nonsense. Saurabh I am not able to relate with anymore. The only people who are staying consistent is Vicky and Radha rani who where in a strange way speaking the truth for once.
And about the promo I don't find anything positive in it! I don't know why though. Maybe I am analysing it too much.
And tia if s8 is bahubali then remember no matter how good looking and perfectly behaved phone it is one malware like kattappa can stab it from behind and it will hang and die and take all your data with it.
😬
Honestly, Kavi. I am on, "it's all bakwas" mode. From start to finish, I probably go WTF in every frame. I mean kuch bhi. CVs are trying so hard to turn Bijoy into a villain the they are making the rest of the Bose family telling Bijoy to be a hypocrite instead and pretend to care.
DeleteHa ha... That was a good comeback. But no worries. From the ashes of Amarendra Bahubali, will rise Mahendra Bahubali version 2.0. Bigger, better and enough to slay all competitors.
I want to add something more
ReplyDeleteSonas character was supposed to be the best nutritionist in Delhi or something in season one. Now she doesn't even know how to diagnose a patient properly 🙈🤒
And I always wonder what If soha was not there in the picture? Would dev have still wanted sona back in his life? If yes then would he not have gone in search of her much before. So is not sona just a replacable person for the dixits ?
Yes, Sona is just the body that carried Soha. If Soha wants to get away from Sona and permanently moves in with Dixits, then it won't take them two seconds to go who is Sona?

ReplyDeletePeople like Dev and Ishwari always show up in front of God and blame Him for their failures but do they remember Him in their good times? No...
ReplyDeleteHowever, psychology also explains this shit.
This is known as self serving bias.
The self-serving bias is people's tendency to attribute positive events to their own character but attribute negative events to external factors.
Btw, God really needs to get out of Dixits' eyesight and find better job since the dixits will keep haunting Him with their deadly presence.
One more thing, I guess Ishwari has really liked the names you've given to Dev and Sonakshi. Islye tu promo me bhi dono ko bhaiyya or behena bna dya... Moje karo ab..
That's a very good point. Yes, I found Dev and Ishwari extremely self serving. It's all about them in every situation. Both are equally narcissistic and too much in love with themselves. Lol. Aaj to mujhe Bhagwan pe taras aa gaya. Ishwari apna rona unhi ke saamne to roti rehti hain.
DeleteI could not find your post in the forum. Could you send me the link?
DeleteWhat post tia??
DeleteI also pity Bhagwan. He has to go through Ishu's and no balls Dev emotional attyachaar and he can't stop it....
DeleteNice post Tia. I watched yesterday's episode but had to skip today's episode.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. This was a total skip worthy episode. Annoying as eff.
Delete20000+ views within a week and a few days. Congratulations tia. 🍾🎉🥂and special thank you to fried 🍗!
ReplyDeleteThis blog page is awesome not just because of the author but also because of the participants. Every comment and every opinion offered is different and varied but every opinion is somehow justified even when most of us may not agree with the same. Intelligent and interesting discussion here by everyone of you makes me want to come here even when our common interest kuch rang pyaar ke aise bhi falters in its narrative.
So this is congratulations and celebration moment for all the participants too.
I second you! I do NOT have to think twice before stating what's on my mind here. I do not have to worry about getting mocked while expressing a view that goes against the general opinion here. There are no written rules here about what is allowed and what is not. Because we do not need a rule book to be civil and respectful to each other and to be tolerant of each other's views.
DeleteThanks to Tia and all the participants here.
Third you. Thanks to Tia for coming up with this on BH's suggestion(yes yes, I rem u BH)
DeleteI enjoy reading all the comments here.
And most importantly, ts not always abt Bhaiya here.
I can gladly rejoice here saying I love Bijoy...still...LOL...not that I ever backed out saying so in IF...hehe
3 cheers for all of us here!!!
I also second you. I can use crass language for the characters but all you ladies out here don't judge me or my character from it nor anyone starts moral policing here.
DeleteI just gave a suggestion. Tia deserves the cred for maintenance of the blog and deciding to leave the forum.
And this is the only place where Bijoy is hailed as hero and not as some old buradhao who is tormenting poor soul Sonakshi Bose.
Awww... Thank you guys. You guys are so sweet. Yes, BH. Thanks for the suggestion. Yay!!! 20,000 plus views. That's amazing. Also thanks to you guys for being such great readers. I love to interact with intelligent people who have different point of views. Thanks for being part of my journey so to speak. You make me think, you inspire me with your stories and triumphs and you make me feel proud to call you friends. This is our success. We have held on to our individuality, freedom of speech and our dignity and we didn't cower in fear. So give yourself a pat on the back, ladies and gentlemen. You deserve it. Group Hugs to all!!!
DeleteGroup hugs to all u too tia
Delete#bashinghater were you IFfreak? And what farewell thread, link plz??😂😂
ReplyDeleteNope, I was BashingHater on IF as well.. Well, I wrote a psychoanalysis on Ishu the goddess.... Lemme find the link for you...

Update done. Responses later. 😀
ReplyDeleteThank you Tia for your 'me' dialogues which is the best medicine after the episode. No sarcasm is enough for the current state of this drama. Pathetic characters!! High time Sonakshi and Asha need a whack in the head, which Ishari will give as soon as she is awake.
ReplyDeleteHa ha. Thanks Aditi. Don't worry. The whack is coming. Give Maiya and Bhaiya time. They will screw up sooner than later. Lol. It's guaranteed.
DeleteGood lord u rock tia ur analysis are entertaining yar
ReplyDeleteI just enjoyed the words u used on dev and sona
Dev only cries and sona says it's not ur fault
Lol tia ur bang on right
Lol writer of the show sucks dev dialogue was full on shit he didn't listen to his mom was a joke listening to his mom he threw sona away listening to his mom he ruined sona life
Soha was away reason ish
Sona was away same ish
All his quotes are nonsense what his mom quotes she doesn't follow
Dongi baba/ types
Ish was a thief herself but called bose family thieves
She did khands but expect sona to be perfect bahu my foot was she even human to say so
Doing charity what did sona get ishwari called her useless bahu in the promo
Well tia u seriously cracked me commenting funny on sona and Asha scene same was my reaction
Arey yar tia end of the day they made bijoy useless
Soha god knows she replaced ish and I was about to puke
Seeing sona I wanted to slap her once
I wonder dixits are so lucky ppl come in front row to forgive them without them saying sorry
Lol after tomorrow I think I will take a break can't stand ishwari melodrama about dev remarriage drama and sona dilemma and bijoy hyper Asha preaching I am done with this
I might take a break for a week till something good pops
Ha ha... Thanks Shailu. I know, right? All the statements Bhaiya keeps quoting from Maata sounds like fraud baba type quotes who fleece people in the name of God. Bhaiya is one of those blind followers who go stab people for showing the true reality of his Maata.
DeleteMe: Oookay. Bhaiya, let me tell you something. As far as asking for help goes, your process sucks. Big time. If I was God, I'd give you a few more kick on your backside for that shitty excuse of prayer.
ReplyDeleteROFL
That brings me up to a question. What help Asha and Saurabh provided? Other than Asha's pep talk which she could have said on phone?
May be she just wanted to SHOW that she was there to help as opposed to actually helping.
---> Sourabh was the driver of the car where Asha was the passenger. Asha needed to show off to the dixits how good she is where as they r not...tongue-in-cheek....LOL ..no other purpose yaar...timewaste.
In btwn, finally I gave krpkab a complete miss...read your update and thts good enuf.
Aschis..aaschi..for long I'm wondering why all r saying only aaschis? Glad you caught it...aami aaschi.
Abhi help karein ge. When behena will get spanked by the Dixits, Asha and Saurabh will be carrying the dumb rescuer out of the hospital.
DeleteHow about kicking Dev in the area which is empty? Remember no balls.
Thanks Gauri. I just had to dig out my sense of humour because otherwise I'd shoot someone in frustration. Good God, I just couldn't believe that Bhaiya went whining to God. Seriously?
Delete
ReplyDeleteI just love your comments under Me: .. not sure if i mention it every day .. but that is how i feel..
If i have to predict, ishu is super happy and passes an order to dev to accept sonakshi back(as if she is waiting .. i know she kinda showing her desperation but still)... wtf...
Sonakshi will decline politely. Then ishu will go like " tum meri bahu nahi ban payi leking tune beti jaise kaam kiya blah blah"
Then turn to dev and say " now that sona declined, i order u to move on and get married " tada...
Bhayya stuck once again and will be tongue tied.. after everyone's cajoling bijoy finally arrives at hospital only to find out ishu is all good and she just asked dev to marry another girl ... lol . He is going to look at asha saurabh and sona and say " in ur face bxxxhes"
I doubt this will happen...SonyTV wont take this big risk after releasing the promo on Twitter....LOL
DeleteDevaskhi fans will be on a rampage.
Aisa hojaye tu I would party even harder than I would've if Ishwari had freaking died.
DeleteAwww... Thanks Lavanya. Yep. You as usual came up with bang on prediction. That's exactly what I suspect will happen. Another scenario is Bhaiya telling Sona to pretend for Mummy. She is not used to hearing no. Everyone has to do what Mummy says.
DeleteDidn't watch the episode because the outfits are too much at this point and a dirty deranged looking Dev crying about nonsensical things is a huge turn off. I used to think Shaheer was good looking but I'm rethinking that now.
ReplyDelete1. I thought Sonakshi was Dev's strength and he couldn't live without her, not sure how Ishwari replaced Sonakshi all of a sudden. Also where is Dev from early episodes of the leap?
2. Why is Sonakshi wearing an 70s style poncho? I didn't think I'd miss the curtain skirt but I wish she was wearing that for this track (I say track because we get one outfit per track now). Sonakshi please wear your curtain kurti and wide pants uniform, that one is the least offensive.
3. Dev's crying doesn't even make sense anymore, I get he loves his mother, but his reasoning and justification is extremely far fetched at this point. Also, wasn't he just angry a few hours ago about his mom being a thief? Now he is crying and no longer angry but no new information has been introduced to change his stance.
4. Why is Sona calling herself a bad person? She is now becoming Dev, she could have been crying over how worried she was for Dev/Ishwari and Soha or even at the fact that Ishwari still calls her baharwali but chose to cry about her role in all this. Fine, but why continue to interfere (as per the precap?)
5. I don't get why the joke about ghee was introduced other than even the writers are bored and no longer interested. I have a feeling they drunk write the plot based on pulling chits out of a container, because if the episode was as written, it made no sense AT ALL. Remember Dev didn't really eat Ishwari's cooking for the last 7 years.
6. Why does Dev cry more than Gopi bahu? Dev in S2 has 2 modes: unfounded anger/hatred towards Sonakshi and unjustified tears/sadness for his beloved mother.
7. Neha used to be jealous of Dev because he got to go to school while she had to stay home to baby sit, I think Neha got a better deal in the long run. She has two sisters that genuinely love her and she doesn't have to bear with Ishwari's guilt drama.
This new promo: I think Ishwari is asking Dev to move on but not with Sonakshi. The voice over is just to avoid viewers from going hulk smash. Instead of Kajal, I hope Dev marries Shruti.
Dev's two modes this season: gundaghardi and cry baby
DeleteMy responses below each point.
Delete1. I thought Sonakshi was Dev's strength and he couldn't live without her, not sure how Ishwari replaced Sonakshi all of a sudden. Also where is Dev from early episodes of the leap?
Me: Bhaiya is so weak, he needs double battery to get power.
Me: Attitude hi 70s ki Bahu ki hain, to style bhi to tabhi ki hogi. Behena ki mentality 21st century mein pehle aane to do.
Me: Bhaiya seems to be going through early onset of dementia. Hota hain kabhi kabhi kisi kisi ke saath. Kam umar mein dimaag saath chod deta hain. After all, itne saal Maiya ko jhelna koi aasan kaam to nehin hain.
Me: Kyunki hypocrite bhi kabhi honest thi. Lekin Dixit house mein ghoosne ke liye hypocrisy is must.
Me: Who cares? Poora episode schizophrenic episode lag raha tha to end kya cheese hain. Ab Sona ke liye job bhi set ho gaya.
6. Why does Dev cry more than Gopi bahu? Dev in S2 has 2 modes: unfounded anger/hatred towards Sonakshi and unjustified tears/sadness for his beloved mother.
Me: Kyunki viewers ki sympathy dry ho chali hain. To Bhaiya apne phool jaise aansoo se roz unko revive karte hain.
7. Neha used to be jealous of Dev because he got to go to school while she had to stay home to baby sit, I think Neha got a better deal in the long run. She has two sisters that genuinely love her and she doesn't have to bear with Ishwari's guilt drama.
Me: Agreed. Isi liye ek baar mudke bhi nehin dekhti. Kaun kalapani se nikalke wapas aata hain? Well, Sona ko chodke.
First of all I hope Sona doesn't agree to marrying Dev on Ishu's acceptance. I am sure Ishu's acceptance will be with twist again. It is so ironical that Sona had to pass tests and prove herself again and again to be Dev's wife or Ishu's DIL and Dev gets a free ride because of his whimming and his emotional weakness. When will Dev see how biased his feelings and love for sonakshi are? Will he ever realize? I have no feelings for Ishu whatsoever. May be Sona being madly in love with Dev will forget and forgive Dev for what has happened and happening to her because of Dixit's. I am not sure if usually it's the case in real life too. Is it easy to forgive people like Dev who have not changed a bit and still be able to move on with people like him? As a viewer I don't have any empathy for Dev, I can't forgive him for what he has done and even now I don't see him having guts in taking a stand for himself. I hope I am proven wrong. At least from the promo it looks like there is no Dev remarriage drama with some other person. I hope the story will move towards Dev salvaging his and Sona's relationship and Dev at least standing up now with Ishu's new twist (I am 100% sure there will be) in their love story.
ReplyDeleteWhat difference does it make what Sona says now? Isn't it the exact same scenario? She will say no. Then she will go home. Asha will brain wash her with her regressive mumbo jumbo. Sona will come crawling. Same story on repeat. When did Sona ever used her own brain to take her own decisions ever? She always got influenced by others.
DeleteDev has never really
DeleteA) Trusted sona S judgement when it came or his family
B) thought how she may feel --- super selfish
C) never really repented for his mistakes - getting drunk and feeling sorry for himself doesn't count
Marriage doesn't work on love alone --- trust and respect seems sorely missing
I know Ishwari has done a mistake/crime and but nothing can be done about it and can't expect Dev to punish her but the least he can do is stop his blind devotion of his mom, stop considering her a god and stop acting like a puppet in her hands. I think that should be good enough for Ishwari as she can't bear to see all these changes in her son.
ReplyDeleteExactly. I don't expect Dev to misbehave with his mother. But at least stop following her demands like a sheep. Use your brain and decide for yourself. People compare Bijoy with Ishwari. But all Bijoy did was ask Sona the truth which she didn't say. Ishwari keeps making demands and giving ultimatums. There is no similarity. That's why Sona said that the decision about her life is always hers as it always had been. Bhaiya was pea green with envy then. But he is the one who has made himself a prisoner and he is the one holding the key to open the door.
DeleteLove Bujoy any time. He is the best dad anyone can have. He has every right to be worried for his daughter and he will stand by and support her decisions whatsoever. Sona is lucky and hope she respects his concerns and doesn't take him for granted, I think that's what bujoy wants from her.
DeleteDev seriously needs a sanity check
DeleteCo-dependence to this extent can be termed mentally unhealthy !!
If sonakshi has any self respect I want her to question Dev and Ishwari that is it just enough that both of them want her to be back in their lives but what about her feelings, Do they ever care what she wants? They both should be ashamed of themselves and should fall in their own eyes.
ReplyDeleteSonakshi and ask questions? I doubt it. After Asha and Elena's brainwashing, she is in agyakari Gopi Bahu mode.
DeleteI hope she learns to STAnD up for herself
DeleteSeriously --/ this martyr business is just waaay tooo much !!
Sounds like an even more trash worthy episode so will pass watching it today !!
DeleteWhen the doctor told Dev that Sonakshi saved Ishwari's life by giving her the tablets, what was that look Dev gave her? It was like "oh okay cool, moving on" He didn't seem happy or thankful, also, I'm surprised there wasn't a scene where he thanked her before he went to see his mom. He just rushed off to see his mom as if Sona's actions weren't key in saving Ishwari's life.
ReplyDeleteHas Dev already started distancing himself from Sonakshi because he realizes his mom still thinks of her as an outsider?
When has he given any credit to Sona? Even when Dev had fever and Sona had taken care of him whole night, the first thing he did in the morning was to rush to his mom so that she doesn't worry!
DeleteWell honey, how many people thank the maid after the job is done? Bhaiya to always was kaam khatam, attention khatam types when it came to Sonakshi.
DeleteI think the fandom is rebelling. Twitter and the forum are quiet today. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteno theres a few die hard -- fan crowd.. of complete bs~
DeleteFandom quiet? When did this happen? And why r they rebelling?
DeleteLol. Lagta hain unki bhi patience ki Dev-Ishwari kar di CVs ne.
DeleteVeteran actress reema lagoo is no more! She passed away due to cardiac arrest.
ReplyDeleteI'm sad. I liked her always..good actor. May her soul rest in peace.
DeleteYeah, she was a good actress. I remember watching one serial of hers Tu Tu Mai Main. Where our Ishwari was the bahu(!!!) and Reemaji was the saas. It was a hilarious comedy. For a change saas was adorable too! :)
DeleteOh sorry to hear that. She was in a lot of movies that I loved including Tu Tu Main Main. May she rest in peace.
DeleteTu tu me wss best ever
DeleteAshique, mpk, hahk were her best work rip reenaji
Can anybody tell me what happened with Sania Mirza? I just came to know about it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Tia when Ishu was lying on patient's bed and woke up with Dev in her lap, it looked like the zombie mom had woken up by smelling her prey getting away from her. (The actress overacted there).
No matter what the people say, Bijoy is a much better parent than Ishu and Asha. For that matter, even Radha is a better parent than these two.
I felt too that actress overacted in that scene.
DeleteHer own daughters didnot come even on her heart attack. May be they will soon.
Oh yes...Bijoy is by far better than all of them out together. He is the only one who calls a spade spade and sees thru the facts as they r...no twisting.
In fact, let me go a step further.I find he is the hero of the show.
Someone wrote above about Shaheer is good looking but these days got to think twice. I agree here as well, Shaheer is goodlooking in general but these days his messed up looks are making him really bad. And Dev whinning, crying always is not helping the cause.
I think his popularity and good looks have made him The Gopi Bahu of krpkab. Usually bahus r popular but here the Ideal Son replaces the Bahu in the show.
Sania Mirza? I don't know. What happened to her? Aargghh, Ishwari to always looks to me like Gollam from the Lord of the Rings. My precioussssss...
DeleteI saw her crying on Barkha Dutt's show and she was crying because she has been mistreated and her patriotism was questioned. I don't know the deets so I asked you guyz.
DeleteLOL! Tia, what an apt description. She is also greedy like him.
@Gauri
I will not comment on the actor's looks. But he needs to get a hair cut and his body waxed.
But he is definitely that third class bahu of the Tv series. BTW, who is Gopi Bahu?? Is she like those third class bahus who have to rescue every single person?
Lets gift him a third class sari and make him understand that he is indeed a freaking Gopi Bahu....
Bijoy is the best character in the series. But this show does not have any characters worthy of being called a hero.
In terms of parenting, I will put the characters in following order:
Dida>Bijoy>Malti(Boss Style lady)>Sonakshi>Ronita's Mom,Radha>Asha>Mama G>Dev>Elena>Vicky>Ishu
Tia...without your post in IF, IF Looks boring. I am sure many people miss you there😉
ReplyDeleteAwww, Pramila. Thanks hun. But it's not just me. What made the forum interesting was different opinions and point of views. Since mod silenced them using her position, every post is now saying the same thing. You can go through five pages and see same point of view repeated multiple times. What's interesting about that?
DeleteThere were a lot of people who had very matured discussion there from all kinds of point of view. They were all silenced unless you sing praises. Sorry. If there's nothing praiseworthy to say, one can hardly make multiple posts gushing on Bhaiya and Maiya.
Believe me it was your thread which people were more interested. It's IF loss. They will loose business.
DeleteVery apt take on intelligence Tia. And your advice to Bhaiya is so good too! "Why don't you use the actual God-given brain instead of fake Goddess-given quote for a change?" I so so wish he uses it, these days it is so pathetic to look at him shuttling between a rondu bachcha and gunda mawali avatar! Chalo at least who is a real God. Yeh bhi kam achievement nahi! :D
ReplyDeleteHere Sona wanted to help as a good samaritan but when she saw Ishwari landed into hospital, was feeling sorry. Dev was also in the same position but did not see much repentance from him when Bijoy landed into hospital too. And that time Dev was partially responsible(alcohol). He thanked Bijoy by leaving Bose house with Sona and Soha at 12am without even bothering to inform them. And here Sona is feeling so guilty.
Loved Dida-Bijoy's conversation. What I feel in Bose household, they are so morally right that even if any of them take a step not in line, they have enough critics to put the people in place and in correct direction. So margin of error is controlled. In Dixit household there is no such system. Mamaji is there but not at all effective.
Thanks Jas. Lol. Bhaiya becomes utter duffer when it comes to Mummy. I mean he was speaking those quotes and I was thinking that they make no sense whatsoever, and he can't even hear the nonsense.
DeleteAbout Sona, she feels guilty about everything to do with Ishwari is because Bhaiya will hold her responsible if anything happens to his Mummy. Bhaiya can treat Bijoy anyway that suits him because Sonakshi and Asha let him. Our loved ones' respect is in our hands. If our spouse don't treat our parents with the same respect we are giving their parents, that's on our head. We failed as son or daughter. And Sonakshi is a failure in that department.
Some say that Sonakshi took care of her family. She did. But the trouble that came on them was also thanks to her. Her obsession for Dev Dixit brought problems and disrespect for her family.
One thing I like in Bose house that they can speak their mind but can't force each other to do something they don't want to do. Asha and Dida could give lecture, but Bijoy didn't move. At the end of the day, it's Bijoy's decision if he wants to show off concern he doesn't feel or let Ishwari recover without seeing his face.
Very true. If we show respect to our in-laws then we need to ensure that hubby also shows the same respect to our parents. This should not be short-changed.
DeleteYes, in Bose house every one has a mind of their own and and does what they think right. That atmosphere is anytime welcome than the suffocating atmosphere of Dixit house. Actually Bijoy is doing a favor to Ishwari by not going. Ishwari will recover faster! LOL
Bang on analysis tia ! such a crappy episode .i dont know why sona has gone into sacrificing and rescuing mode again ,that day is not far when after doing soo much her own daughter will say that she loves her papa and dadi more and want to live with them hamesha ...and dev will again tell her to get out ......may be only then she will develop some common sense
ReplyDeleteThank you, Hira. Well, Sona never stepped out of her self sacrificing mode. She inherited Martyr gene from Asha. Asha also thinks that by marrying Bijoy and putting up with him, she is doing some kind of social service. But she never stood up for Bijoy's honour and respect. But Bijoy always stood up for her respect as you mentioned during aunty fiasco also thanks to Maataji. She gave lecture to Sona on how to treat her daughter's father. Yet she treats her children's father with so much disrespect. I used to like Asha. But these days I find her as hypocrite as Ishwari. She is just not as evil, that's all.
DeleteI honestly don't know when Sona will develop common sense. Because common sense is not very common in her. Otherwise she won't keep repeating the same mistake over and over.
for me my favourote character in the show is bejoy bose!an upright man who doesnot take anyone crap and nonsense , a loving husband ,a caring son and extremely protective father who is selfless to the core ...he may not seem to appear pleasing to some but i can totally relate to him as i also have my father who is extremely protective about me ...i just loved bejoy the day dev called asha as aunty and he couldnot tolerate a single tear in his wifes eyes and went to dev to call him bhanja ...i dont know why asha forgets these things only thing she remember are the sacrifices she made by marrying bejoy huh! such a hypocrite
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore Bijoy. He is cranky, rude, annoying when he screams. But he doesn't stab you in the back. He says what he feels at all times and he is never unfair. If you can reason with him, he listens. If he hates you, he has a reason. He is not cunning and pretends to be something he is not. And he is also aware of all his faults. I would have loved to have a dad like Bijoy.
Deletefor me my favourote character in the show is bejoy bose!an upright man who doesnot take anyone crap and nonsense , a loving husband ,a caring son and extremely protective father who is selfless to the core ...he may not seem to appear pleasing to some but i can totally relate to him as i also have my father who is extremely protective about me ...i just loved bejoy the day dev called asha as aunty and he couldnot tolerate a single tear in his wifes eyes and went to dev to call him bhanja ...i dont know why asha forgets these things only thing she remember are the sacrifices she made by marrying bejoy huh! such a hypocrite
ReplyDeleteGreat review Tia ! And a very pertinent message about the importance of letting go off the pain , hurt and anger that prevent one from moving on in life but at the same never forget the lessons learnt from such experiences. Looks like Sona and Asha have already hit the delete button and wiped their hard disks clean, while Bijoy ensures regular backing up of that particular data. Although initially I felt that Bijoy could have been a little more sensitive about Ishawari's condition, yesterday's epi made me feel very sad for him . And I didn't quite understand Ronita's reasoning here. Sona's responsibility should be to ensure a safe and healthy environment for Soha in Dixit house and therefore her interest and involvement in the happenings of Dixit household should be limited to that. Oh wait, correction that should also be Soha's dad's responsibility. Ha ha..lets not even go there now. Par yahan toh ex MIL ke purane paapon ko uncover kar ke dhoya jaa raha hai. Of course Ronita doesn't know this and she probably just wanted to put Bijoy out of his misery. Also what dida said would have made sense if Bijoy was the kind of father who attempted to control every aspect of Sona and Saurav's lives. But here the crux of the matter is that Bijoy doesn't trust Sona when it comes to the Dixits. Sona has done nothing to earn it either.
ReplyDeleteI would have tolerated Bhaiyya better if he had just broken down and cried. But that whiny bhashan in front of Ganesha idol was so annoying. Biwi chhod ke chali gayi , bacchi se saat saal durr rehna pada. Par Dev bhaisahab ko kiska dukh aur dard samajh mein aaya ? Of course apne maa ka. I would have had more sympathy for him if he hadn't opened his mouth at all or just told Sona , Asha and Saurav to check on Soha and take care of her.
Asha and Sona - Kya baat hai ! Maa - beti ka pyaar dekh ke toh Bhaiyya aur Maiyya bhi jealous ho jaate. Also , isn't it strange that post leap this is the first time Sona actually broke down and cried a little (not sure if I missed anything before ) and has Asha ever attempted to find out what Sona really wants in life ? And now we get to see Sona crying for Ishwari and Asha consoling her.
BTW, Soha is not clairvoyant😸 She probably overheard Elena when Elena was talking to Vicky.
I have a feeling that Jatin will be back in the upcoming episodes to help Sona on her 'Ishwari ko begunah saabit Karo mission '. And once that is done I bet Sona will be back in IN as Ishwari 's nutritionist. So no more running back and forth between IN and Bose house. It will be rehash of season 1 but with lots of Ishwari - Sona bonding . I can also see the possibility of a KKHH track with Daadi and Poti playing cupid and conspiring to get Dev and Sona together. They will probably turn Bijoy into DDLJ ka Amrish Puri , who after lots of drama will finally say " Jaa Sona jaa..jee le apni zindagi "... THE END !!!
Thanks hun. Yesterday's episode was utter bore. They wasted one full episode singing Ishwari's bhajan when she did not even get a heart attack. But they didn't waste nearly enough retrospect on Bhaiya when Bijoy had his actual heart attack. Just shows who is the actual lead of the show.
DeleteEveryone is hanging in the hospital. But no one thinks to get the kids so that Elena who is actual daughter-in-law of the house can come to the hospital. Instead Sona, Asha and Saurabh are showing off their concern by hanging out in the hospital doing absolutely no good. Seriously?
LOL ... Jaa Sona jaa.. jee le apni zindagi! Too good, SummerRain!
DeleteCheck this shit out.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.tvserialupdates.com/omg-ishwari-hug-sonakshi-sony-tvs-kuch-rang-pyar-ke-aise-bhi/
Ok.So I guess I can skip the episode for today.
DeleteWho's interested to see Ishwari hug Sona?!! Like who exactly cares apart from Dev-Sona?
Two things which I found to be extra shitty:
Delete1. Ishu admitting she was at fault
2. Sonakshi disagreeing because of Bijoy's promise. No self respect at all
What BS!!
DeleteJust coz Sona poked her funny long nose in what was not hers to bother about, Ishwari redeems herself?! She did what her daughters wont do(read couldnot do since they were absent and Son was busy being cuckoo)...hence so much pyaar.
I'm fervently hoping Sona shudnt say Yes for some good time. I'm not at all good with this kind of Ishwari redemption.
Hain? Bharat milaap? WTF... Aaj to shardh hoga mere post pe. You are all invited.
Deletei dont hv patience to read WU even.
ReplyDeletesuch a crap they r showing jus read d me part.i wish cvs would ur read me part.sharam se pani pani ho jate.matlab kuch v dikha rahe hai.
are sab log bijoy ko lecture de rahe hai.
agar sona bachi nhi hai toh bijoy v koi bacha nhi hai baap hai wo sona, usko pata hai wo kya kar raha.jee karta hai tv k ander jaa k sabki dhulei karu.bijoy ko chhod k,khaas kar k asha , sourav, sona
baki logo ko toh pani mein dubo dubo k maru
Precisely. And if Sona wants to do what she wants to do, why doesn't she move out? Then do whatever she wants. Her father won't come to her house to dictate her life. She wants the free baby sitter, but doesn't want to give a damn about her dad under his roof, things don't work that way.
DeleteHow will Sona feel if Soha decides to stay back with her dad permanentley , without even bothering to discuss it with her mother ?
DeleteExactly.
DeleteThis is a country where women power like Jhansi ki rani, sarojini naidu and many, who lived in the 18th century and this is how they expect a woman to be treated in the 20th century, tolerate any crap you are served??
ReplyDeleteShame on the CVs, actors and the whole entertainment world for being so regressive. I'm going to watch today's episode just so that I don't miss anything and I can bash them as much as I want.
Absolutely right. Funny how no matter how successful a woman gets, her worth is still judged by her ability to put up with bull shit.
DeleteUnable to comment from chrome browser but opera works. Any idea why? I use chrome generally.
ReplyDeleteThat's so strange. I am using Chrome right now. Anyone else facing the same problem?
DeleteCaptcha code for human check appears on opera after which I can comment but that does not appear on Chrome even if I turn off my ad blockers
DeleteDo you have third party cookies blocked? Because when I had them blocked, I could not post comment either.
DeleteYes.That was the issue. It works now. Thanks :)
DeleteI think they do this in almost all daily soaps. A blood sacrifice or an extremely selfless act by the female lead to get her wrong doers to come over to her side is the norm. There is no concept of redemption.
ReplyDeleteYep. A female lead in Indian television has to constantly prove herself to be acceptable, while a male lead just has to say that he is in "Lau". No need to prove or anything. Just has to say it.
DeleteActually I liked Suhana of sasural Genda phool. In spite of her being insensitive sometimes, she was the i-won't-take-any-shit kind of girl.
DeleteAgree. Suhana on Sasural Genda Phool was nobody's doormat.
DeleteAfter hearing about Reema Lagoo's passing today, I was thinking about her show with Supriya , Tu Tu Main Main. They were so good together and it was a show that I enjoyed immensely. Her passing is indeed a loss for the TV and film industry.
ReplyDeleteYes. Very sad to hear the news. I loved her in Rajshree Films and iconic television shows like Tu Tu Main Main, Sreeman Srimati etc.
