Tia's Thread - The Last Supper
Yesterday I had mixed feelings while watching the show. I loved the episode because Bhaiya's eyes finally opened. Generally, I'd have rejoiced at Bhaiya's enlightenment to the reality of his mother. But his invite to Bose family for dinner, knowing his mother's feelings, has got me confused.
He knows very well that he can't (won't) control Radha's tongue in front of his mother (sometimes in private, yes. But never in front of his mother). He knows Bijoy is not the type to stay silent when his self-respect is attacked.
Then what kind of dinner does he expect to have with two sides giving each other death glare? What kind of picture of his family does he want to paint in front of Soha?
What was he thinking when he came up with such harebrained idea?
Now that made me reach two conclusion.
1. He wants to show once and for all that he has grown a spine and is capable of standing up for people's honour regardless who is being insulting. That includes his mother, Mami and Vicky.
Or,
2. He is desperately trying to duct tape the two families together like many of his temporary solutions hoping that somehow they can pretend through the meal and he can convince Sona to give them another chance using that dinner party example.
What I think is that Bhaiya is more likely to once again fail miserably despite good intention.
The thing is that Bhaiya is like the little kid who thinks that if he just pretend hard enough and behave nicely, he can play with two groups of friends who hate each other.
I don't know what and how to make this guy understand one reality of his life.
His mother will make life hell for any woman whom he loves. This is a fact that never and nothing is going to change no matter what him and that woman do.
Once he accepts and digests that, the second fact is that he has two ways left.
1. He can remain a bachelor until his mother dies. Affairs are fine as long as his mother never sees those women's face.
2. He can make a different home for his wife and children and come visit his mother like 100% of married women do across the world. Yes, I know. That would be giving up his male privilege he got by being born in a patriarchal society. But considering he was away from his home most of the time in last 8 years, that's not an alien arrangement he has never experienced.
He is much more comfortable with Bose family despite Bijoy's grumbling than his own family anyway.
There is no other way or solution for him. Sorry, he got a whooper of a bad luck to get saddled with the worst liability in the world.
And today's dinner, might just be the last supper for his peace of mind.
EPISODE: The episode starts with Ishwari inviting Sonakshi. Then she extends the invitation to Jatin as well. She apparently heard from Dev that he has helped Sona.
Me: Suddenly this dal turned of the black variety. Maata ne aaj tak Jatin Bhaiya ko bulava nehin lagaya. Achanak, Maata ka bulava aa gaya. Kamaal hain.
Golmaal hain bhai sab golmaal hain...
(Maata hasn't called Jatin bhaiya until now. Suddenly she is inviting him for dinner. Strange. Everything seems fake to me.)
Bhaiya is excited. He got up to get everything prepared. Maata is about to get up. But Bhaiya said that he will get everything ready. She doesn't need to do anything. She should just rest. Maata sits down.
Bhaiya leaves with a spring on his step.
Maata's face turned into rotten mango the moment he turns his back.
Me: And acting done. Curtain closed. Welcome to reality.
At Bose house, Bijoy is refusing to go to Dixit house. He is shocked that Ishwari called them and they are going.
He says that he won't go. He asks Asha if she is going.
Asha says of course she will go.
Dida says that she will wear her new saree.
Sona says that Saurabh and Ronita also must come.
Saurabh says that just say the time and he and Ronita will be ready.
Ronita wants to get ready with Sona.
They have a cutesy moment.
Bijoy says that they have all got mad.
Dida says that only he got mad. He is always cranky. Everyone giggles.
Saurabh teases Bijoy that he is in shock. He can understand his shock. No one has invited Bijoy before so when invitation came, he must had been in shock.
Everyone laughs again.
Bijoy says that laugh if they must. But when they get insulted, he will laugh.
Me: Bijoy, I know you are shocked to see the level of self-respect your family have. But that's who they are. Pathetic and shameless.
I wish when Sonakshi was thrown out of Dixit house, you had laughed. I wish when she was struggling to manage a career and a child, you had laughed. When Dev had broken her heart, you had laughed.
Because these ungrateful lot is laughing at your concern today because you dared to not appreciate invitation from the temple. But when they like to be treated like shit, why don't you start giving them the treatment they deserve and crave?
Sonakshi is inviting everyone as if her husband has thrown a party with her and she is inviting her guest.
I am really looking forward to their respect being handed to them in paper plate. Isse jyada kimat nehin hain inke self-respect ki. (Their self-respect is not worth more than paper plate)
Bijoy, I feel for you. I really do. Tell you what, why don't you stay back and let them come back with their dignity in tatters? No really. You have protected them so much that they have started to take you for granted. So take my advice and do what you want to do and just let these people suffer their fate.
Just then, Jatin comes there. Bijoy tells him that he is the only sensible person there. He says that Jatin and him will eat there. He has ordered chinese.
Sona says that Ishwari has invited Jatin as well. Jatin thinks of going. Sona and Saurabh slaps hands.
Jatin looks at Bijoy. Bijoy says that he also wants to go?
Dida taunts if he wants to stay alone or will go with them?
Bijoy fumes.
Me: Bijoy, find a friend of any gender who understands you. Don't rely on someone else's friends for companionship. Your family is out of the question in terms of support.
No really. Once you have a friend that you always hang out with and don't pay any attention to your family whether they live or die, they will find out your worth.
And Jatin? Why are you so excited to go? Until now, you had been avoiding Dev and his house. So what's exactly is your motivation? Is it Soha?
Bhaiya comes to Elena and asks her to do something from him. Bhaiya tells Elena to get something for Sonakshi.
Elena is surprised. Bhaiya says that Sonakshi and her family are coming for dinner. That's why.
Elena gets super happy. But says if he is joking.
Bhaiya says that he is not joking. He knows how much she misses them.
Bhaiya asks Elena to get a gift for Sonakshi.
Elena says that she loves shopping. So she will do it. But if his credit card gets swiped a few place more, then not to call the bank.
Bhaiya is in generous mood today. So he says do whatever she wants.
Me: God, Rab ne bana di jodi. Ek moocher ko mili ek aur moocheriya...
(God, heaven made paid. One moocher got another moocher as life partner)...
At Dixit kitchen something else is cooking. Soha and Golu try to convince some-k (God knows which K he is) to do something but he is protesting.
They say that it's a surprise for Dadi. He is worried about losing his job.
But the kids party blackmail him. He agrees to make a cake.
Me: Ittu sa cake ke liye itna nakhra? Aur idhar poori khichdi char gayee hain pakne ke liye. Waise, iss baar bhi Soha aur Golu ne kyun nehin bana liya?
(So much tantrum to make one cake? And here a whole vat of hotpotch is on the gas on boil. By the way, why didn't Soha and Golu made the cake like last time?)
Anyhoo, Sonakshi is looking at her clothes collection and is muttering that all are looking the same.
Me: Hum bhi to kab se yehin bol rahe the, Behena. Rainbow colours pehen ne se curtains thodi naa silk ban jaati hain.
(That's what we had been saying for so long, Behena. Just because you wear rainbow colours, your curtain material is hardly changing into pure silk)
Just then Bhaiya video calls.
Sonakshi picks up the phone and asks angrily what does he need.
Bhaiya is taken aback: Whoa, why are you so angry. One minute, I know why.
Sona: You don't know anything.
Bhaiya: I know. You must have done a lot of work all day. Now that there is only an hour left, you don't know what to wear.
Sona agrees: Hummm... But why are you so happy?
Bhaiya: The whole Bose family is coming to my house for dinner. That's why I am so happy. In fact, I am very excited.
Me: Yep. We can see laddoo phooting in your heart. Let's see what kind of laddoo your family have prepared for Bose family. The kind you eat, or the one you use for target practice.

Sona says that there was no need for all these.
Bhaiya: Come on, Sonakshi. Don't spoil the fun. Why there's no need?
Sona: Because it's not our wedding.
Bhaiya smiles huge.
Sona asks: Why suddenly auntyji asks all of us suddenly?
Bhaiya: Because you have done so much for us. So we wanted to do something special for you.
Sona says that there was no need. She didn't do all this for anything in return.
Bhaiya: One minute Miss Sonakshi Bose. If you leave your strong, independent personality behind, will anything happen to it? Okay, see you tonight.
Behena stops him: Dev, one minute.
Bhaiya wonders why?
Behena: Did you wash your face before calling me? You must have washed your face with soap. There is soup on your ear.

Sona laughs. He hangs up the phone.
Me: Awww.... Don't they make better friends? That's exactly what they should be. They make shitty lovers. But they make amazing friends. Because you don't need compatibility to be friends. You just need willingness to make it work and to be there for each other. Friendship has no boundary, no laws and no expectations beyond support and standing together at all times.
Not all great friends make good lovers and but all great lovers are also amazing friends. Because friendship is the most solid foundation of any relationship.
Ishwari is moping in her room. Mamaji comes there. He says that she is still his kachodi - the world's best sister and mother.
Me: Huh? Since when?
Well, Mamaji then shifts to Sonakshi. He says that the woman she used to call an outsider, she stepped in and stood for her in front of Khatri. What she did for Ishwari which even her family could not do for her.
He tells Ishwari that he hopes she doesn't regret tomorrow that when Sonakshi was in front of her, she didn't embrace her. Everyone used to blame her that she broke the house. But that woman put his sister together.
Ishwari gives her fake smile and nods.
Me: Honestly, this lady is so obvious with her fake smile, but can't anyone see it? It's so clear from her body language that she is not happy to have to accept Sonakshi beating her Greatness game again.
And Mamaji, even super glue can't put together the mess that is your sister. So expecting Sonakshi to accomplish that is moot point. If everything that has happened so far could not fix her, nothing else can.
But like Dev, you also like to be in delusion that this is the moment when mental Maata has turned into Mother India.

At night, everyone is ready for dinner. Bijoy is throwing tantrums while everyone is ignoring him. Dev has sent two cars.
Bijoy's complaint is that Dev has sent two cars. They are not poor. They could go on their own.
Me: Seriously? Now that you are going, why don't you get an uber and go. Let your family go by the car Dev sent. If they get insulted and they refuse to get into the cars, they can walk home. You will still have your transport handy.
You don't use your brain, Bijoy.
Sonakshi calls Dev and asks what was the need to send two cars? Is he showing off? They could have come on their own?
Dev says that she had been showing off for so many days. She drove to save his life and since then she had been driving.
Sonakshi says: I am a fast learner. I have learned now. There's no problem anymore.
Bhaiya: That's the problem. You have no problem. You haven't left any problem for me to solve.
Me: Arre, bechara. Bhaiya ko heropanti ka chance nehin diya behena ne.
Bhaiya main ek chance doon? Chalo, apne ghar mein namak haram ki toli ko dhoondke nikalo aur bahar phenko. Your time starts now. Tick tock.
(Oh poor thing. Behena didn't give Bhaiya a chance to be hero.
Bhaiya, shall I give you a chance? Find the backstabbers in your home and kick them out. Your time starts now. Tick Tock...)
Dev says that may be this is too much for someone. He means Mr. Bose. But this is the beginning of his thanks. She has driven enough in the last few days. So she can just sit in the backseat of the car and come.
Sonakshi says how will she sit in two cars?
Dev says that she won't believe that he is cares for her. But he does. He knew that they all won't fit in one car. So he sent another car for Saurabh and Ronita.
Sona turns to Saurabh and says that, Dev has specifically sent the other car for him and Ronita. So basically he is calling them fat.
Dev splutters over phone.
Saurabh gets angry and says that tell him that he is not coming either. Dev called him fat.
Sona says: Did you hear?
Dev: You are such a big devil. Put me on speaker.
Sona put him on speaker.
Dev says that Sonakshi is trying to rile Saurabh up. So he should not listen to her. He sent an extra car because he wanted to send a separate car for newly weds.
Saurabh gets flattered. He says okay. No need to butter him up. They are coming.
Dev asks them to come soon.
Saurabh points finger at Sonakshi as if to warn her.
She laughs. Dev tells her to sit in the car and come fast.
Sonakshi says yes, they are coming.
Me: Humm... Nothing to say except that I am enjoying the comfortable equation and friendship between Dev and Sona. The moment they removed the expectations and demands, how sweet their relationship became, isn't it?
Bhaiya asks if everyone is coming. Even Mr. Bose.
Me: Why do I get the feeling that Bhaiya enjoys Bijoy's company more than his family does?

They come to Dixit house. Bijoy says that they are at their favourite house. He will see how they welcome them.
Asha says that he should have stayed back.

Dida says that if he creates scene, then he should go back immediately.
Asha says that if they wanted to put them down, they won't have invited them. In fact, if they hadn't invited them, then they would have been insulted.
Me: Why? Why exactly would you had got insulted if they hadn't call you? Who are you to them, Asha?
And Bijoy, tone down the attitude and leave. No one tied you to the car and got you here. If your daughter is idiot enough to fall for the same trap for the third time, then what can you do?
Bijoy says that she doesn't know, that's their style. First they invite in their home and then...
Asha asks him to stay quiet. Ishwari just got discharged from hospital. She doesn't want Bijoy to argue with her.
Bijoy says that he has no desire to argue with that lady. He tells Asha to tell Ishwari to keep her mouth shut and he will do the same.
Me: Bijoy, you are making all valid points but due to your childish behaviour, every thing is sounding stupid. Please for God's sake, don't make a fool of yourself trying to save your daughter from being a fool.
Dev comes out and sees the car. He calls Elena that they are here. He himself comes out to get them out of the car.
Dida warns Bijoy that Dev himself is coming to get them. It's not insult, it's called paying respect. So he should keep his mouth shut.
Dev opens the door for them. Asha, Dida and Sona comes out.
Dev says that he is at their service. He wants to thank them that they came at his mother's invitation.
Elena comes out beaming and takes pictures.
He also greets Saurabh and Ronita: Special welcome for newly married couple.
He also notices Dadi's new saree and says that she wore a new saree.
Dadi is super happy that Dev noticed.
Sona asks him to stop saying thank you.
Saurabh says that if he intends to feed them with words. He is hungry.
Elena says that there's no need to be formal with her family.
Sona asks her to leave the camera.
Elena says that she can't pass on the chance to take picture of this special moment.
Elena then greets Dadi. Dadi is excited and tells Elena that she is now a mother. But her skin is the same as before. Very good.
Elena is happy.
Elena greets Ronita and Saurabh.
Bijoy is still sitting in the car glaring at them. The driver offers to open the door to off load his passenger.
Bijoy glares at the driver. The driver says sorry.
Everyone starts to go in when Bijoy gets out of the car.
Bhaiya turns back: I am sorry, Mr. Bose. I didn't see you.
Bijoy says: No need to say sorry. He welcomed all his important guests. Not to worry for him. He will come on his own.
Bhaiya looks at Sona and says: When will this Mogambo be happy?
Me: On your wedding day, Bhaiya. To someone else. Otherwise, just let him be miserable on his own. I just don't understand who deliberately puts themselves in a miserable situation when they don't have to.
Elena and Dev take everyone inside. Dev calls his mother inside. Dixit family come to greet them. Mamaji says that he is very happy to see them. They were waiting for Bose family.
Radha of course has to open her mouth. She says that since they came to know that you are coming, they could not sit still. After all they have old relationship with them.
Ishwari says that Radha is right.
Bijoy looks at Asha. Asha gestures with her eyes. He stays silent.
She greets Ishwari and asks her about her health.
Ishwari greets Dida and she also politely greets them.
Ishwari says that she is fine the moment she came home.
Bijoy is still with his hang dog expression. Ishwari folds her hand and Bijoy does too.
Ronita is standing behind Bijoy. She greets Ishwari and says that she could not come to the hospital. But she hopes that she is feeling better.
Asha says that they haven't met Ronita. Ronita is Saurabh's wife and their second daughter.
Ishwari doesn't even get it. She says that she is very pretty. Let's go in.
Asha introduces Radha and Vicky to Ronita.
Ronita says that she has met them before.
Radha says that yes, they have met. How is she?
Ronita responds that she is very happy since marrying Saurabh.
Ishwari remembers Mami's action.
Asha introduces Mamaji to Ronita. He greets Ronita and then asks about Jatin.
Bijoy says: He is our son. I mean like our son, Jatin. He is Sona's friend. He used to be Sona's friend. Now he is like our family member.
Vicky taunts: Right. I have seen him with Sonakshi ji many times.

Me: Ooi maa, the undercurrent. These kind of situation gives me a strange claustrophobic feelings. It seemed that two opponent were sizing them up for mortal combat except Asha and Dida. Will they even be able to digest the food here? I mean I get indigestion in this kind of situations.
They all come in and sit down.
Dev comes there with waiters with welcome drink.
Me: *Snort* After that verbal mind games, they all need it...
The waiter offers the drink to Bijoy. He takes it. That makes Bhaiya happy.
Bhaiya then goes back to staring at Sonakshi who took a drink. Sonakshi looks at him.
Ishwari tells Sona that she is very happy that Sonakshi came there with her family on her invitation.
Sonakshi says that she had invited so kindly. So they had come.
Ishwari is all smiles.
Me: I don't get you, Maata. Where do you get your supply of mood swings? I mean, when Dev asked you to invite them, your face looked like someone told you that God has just issued a PR card in hell for you. Now you are all beauty pageant loser's fake smile and fake emotions. No really, you should have been in Hollywood. Ek aadh oscar to mil hi jaata ho ho karke. (One or two oscar you'd have bagged doing ho ho)
Bhaiya's happiness is increasing.
Just then Soha comes running and jumps on Bijoy and he gets the first genuine smile on his face. She also hugs Asha.
She greets everyone and says that if everyone got everyone's intro, can she give hers too?
Saurabh says that yes, sure. They don't know her. Does Bijoy and Asha know her? And Sona definitely doesn't know her.
Soha asks Sona if she is in her team. Sona says of course.
Dev smiles.
Ishwari also smiles.
Radha says that no matter how much a father loves his child. A child's heart is always attached to his mother.
Dev and Ishwari feel bad. Awkward situation.
Bijoy says that enough. No one will bother his Soha.
Soha says that she missed her Dadu. But she didn't miss Mamu.
Bijoy is all melty butter on hot, golden toast: I missed you too, my baby.
Soha then strikes her attack: Isn't this perfect? Won't it have been great if we all lived in the same house together. Won't it have been fun?
Me: Awkward moment strikes back.
Mamaji translates welcome drink in Hindi and asks if everyone had it?
Dev gets impressed with his Hindi translation. He asks Jatin if he had any. Jatin says that he had.
Bhaiya asks him to have one more. He also insists to Saurabh and says that JC made it but the recipe is of Elena's.
Saurabh says that if Elena gave this recipe, then he must drink.
Vicky taunts that they didn't know.
Mamaji taunts back that he only knows protein shake.
Asha says that they didn't need to do all this for them.
Ishwari says that how she could not have done all this? This is nothing in front of what her daughter did for her.
Sonakshi tries Modest Maalti's approach.
Ishwari says that what Sonakshi did, sometimes family (Radha glares, so Ishwari changes word), hardly anyone else could do.
Radha taunts in a sarcastic tone that Ishwari believes in Sonakshi a lot.
Me: Awkward moment returns.
Ishwari also thanks Jatin and Saurabh for helping Sona. Jatin says that she is embarrassing them by thanking them.
Saurabh raises the drink glass to Jatin.
Bijoy asks Saurabh if he will keep on drinking or eat food too.
Soha asks Bijoy that doesn't he like them?
Bijoy says that yes, he likes them. But he is getting hungry.
Soha runs to get Golu.
Bijoy tells Ishwari that they don't care about timing for food, but he gets hungry on the same time.
Mamaji says that it's very important to eat on time. His daughter taught them that.
Bijoy is suspicious if Mamaji is trying to lock up his village idiot daughter.
Ishwari gets up to check on food. Asha gets up to help her.
Ishwari asks Asha to sit down and leaves. Dev goes to check on the kids.
Asha glares at Bijoy. He asks why is she glaring at her? Did they come the first time there? When he is hungry, he will say it.
Me: Yes, Asha. You have to make up your mind on what you want. You have problem when Bijoy treats them like enemy. You have problem when he treat them like family and tells them when he is hungry. What the eff do you want? Do you think Bijoy is a toy for you to wind up as per your wish? If a man had done it, people would have been accusing him of being a control freak. What should we call you?
Mamaji asks him to treat their house like their own.
Sonakshi says that she will go and check Ishwari's medicine.
Bijoy says that she should. Her mother doesn't know anything here. But she knows everything what is where in the kitchen. So she should go.
Vicky gets up to attend a call.
Jatin says that he should go. Then he taunts looking at Mamaji that he must need to get more protein shake.
Radha taunts back: Her Red is superb. But Mamaji always taunts him.
Mamaji mutters something back.
Radha leaves from there.
Sona says if she can go or does he want to say something else?
Bijoy stays silent.
Me: Revenge of the Awkward!!!
Mamaji makes small talk with Saurabh.
Bijoy whispers to Asha why Ishwari is thanking Sona, Saurabh and Jatin. Jatin didn't even go to hospital.
Asha says that she doesn't know.
Bijoy says that it must be something. She didn't used to love his Sona so much before and Sona seems very comfortable with them too. They are also seeming different. What's the matter?
Asha says that she doesn't know.
Me: Bijoy, I know you are confused. But tone down your erratic behaviour please. It's hard for anyone to take you seriously, if you behave like demented old man. Instead observe quietly and ask Sona directly. She will at least tell you more than Asha even if she doesn't reveal all. Keep one thing in mind that your wife is not your ally.
But gosh!!! It was so claustrophobic for me that I had to step out to breathe fresh air. Why would anyone willingly step into such a weird situation without a gun in your head?
PRECAP: Sona asks what's all this? She knows that he heard the question. So answer to her why?
Dev says that the relationship that broke 7 years ago, the misunderstanding that happened, it's because of him.
Me: Hallelujah!!! Ting ting ting.... Bilkul sahi jawab. Hamare kaan taras gaye the yeh sunne ke liye Bhaiya... Sniff sniff.
(Absolutely right answer. We were waiting for so long to hear this, Bhaiya. Sniff sniff)

1. He can remain a bachelor until his mother dies. Affairs are fine as long as his mother never sees those women's face.
2. He can make a different home for his wife and children and come visit his mother like 100% of married women do across the world. Yes, I know. That would be giving up his male privilege he got by being born in a patriarchal society. But considering he was away from his home most of the time in last 8 years, that's not an alien arrangement he has never experienced.
He is much more comfortable with Bose family despite Bijoy's grumbling than his own family anyway.
There is no other way or solution for him. Sorry, he got a whooper of a bad luck to get saddled with the worst liability in the world.
And today's dinner, might just be the last supper for his peace of mind.
EPISODE: The episode starts with Ishwari inviting Sonakshi. Then she extends the invitation to Jatin as well. She apparently heard from Dev that he has helped Sona.
Me: Suddenly this dal turned of the black variety. Maata ne aaj tak Jatin Bhaiya ko bulava nehin lagaya. Achanak, Maata ka bulava aa gaya. Kamaal hain.
Golmaal hain bhai sab golmaal hain...
(Maata hasn't called Jatin bhaiya until now. Suddenly she is inviting him for dinner. Strange. Everything seems fake to me.)
Bhaiya is excited. He got up to get everything prepared. Maata is about to get up. But Bhaiya said that he will get everything ready. She doesn't need to do anything. She should just rest. Maata sits down.
Bhaiya leaves with a spring on his step.
Maata's face turned into rotten mango the moment he turns his back.
Me: And acting done. Curtain closed. Welcome to reality.
At Bose house, Bijoy is refusing to go to Dixit house. He is shocked that Ishwari called them and they are going.
He says that he won't go. He asks Asha if she is going.
Asha says of course she will go.
Dida says that she will wear her new saree.
Sona says that Saurabh and Ronita also must come.
Saurabh says that just say the time and he and Ronita will be ready.
Ronita wants to get ready with Sona.
They have a cutesy moment.
Bijoy says that they have all got mad.
Dida says that only he got mad. He is always cranky. Everyone giggles.
Saurabh teases Bijoy that he is in shock. He can understand his shock. No one has invited Bijoy before so when invitation came, he must had been in shock.
Everyone laughs again.
Bijoy says that laugh if they must. But when they get insulted, he will laugh.
Me: Bijoy, I know you are shocked to see the level of self-respect your family have. But that's who they are. Pathetic and shameless.
I wish when Sonakshi was thrown out of Dixit house, you had laughed. I wish when she was struggling to manage a career and a child, you had laughed. When Dev had broken her heart, you had laughed.
Because these ungrateful lot is laughing at your concern today because you dared to not appreciate invitation from the temple. But when they like to be treated like shit, why don't you start giving them the treatment they deserve and crave?
Sonakshi is inviting everyone as if her husband has thrown a party with her and she is inviting her guest.
I am really looking forward to their respect being handed to them in paper plate. Isse jyada kimat nehin hain inke self-respect ki. (Their self-respect is not worth more than paper plate)
Bijoy, I feel for you. I really do. Tell you what, why don't you stay back and let them come back with their dignity in tatters? No really. You have protected them so much that they have started to take you for granted. So take my advice and do what you want to do and just let these people suffer their fate.
Just then, Jatin comes there. Bijoy tells him that he is the only sensible person there. He says that Jatin and him will eat there. He has ordered chinese.
Sona says that Ishwari has invited Jatin as well. Jatin thinks of going. Sona and Saurabh slaps hands.
Jatin looks at Bijoy. Bijoy says that he also wants to go?
Dida taunts if he wants to stay alone or will go with them?
Bijoy fumes.
Me: Bijoy, find a friend of any gender who understands you. Don't rely on someone else's friends for companionship. Your family is out of the question in terms of support.
No really. Once you have a friend that you always hang out with and don't pay any attention to your family whether they live or die, they will find out your worth.
And Jatin? Why are you so excited to go? Until now, you had been avoiding Dev and his house. So what's exactly is your motivation? Is it Soha?
Bhaiya comes to Elena and asks her to do something from him. Bhaiya tells Elena to get something for Sonakshi.
Elena is surprised. Bhaiya says that Sonakshi and her family are coming for dinner. That's why.
Elena gets super happy. But says if he is joking.
Bhaiya says that he is not joking. He knows how much she misses them.
Bhaiya asks Elena to get a gift for Sonakshi.
Elena says that she loves shopping. So she will do it. But if his credit card gets swiped a few place more, then not to call the bank.
Bhaiya is in generous mood today. So he says do whatever she wants.
Me: God, Rab ne bana di jodi. Ek moocher ko mili ek aur moocheriya...
(God, heaven made paid. One moocher got another moocher as life partner)...
At Dixit kitchen something else is cooking. Soha and Golu try to convince some-k (God knows which K he is) to do something but he is protesting.
They say that it's a surprise for Dadi. He is worried about losing his job.
But the kids party blackmail him. He agrees to make a cake.
Me: Ittu sa cake ke liye itna nakhra? Aur idhar poori khichdi char gayee hain pakne ke liye. Waise, iss baar bhi Soha aur Golu ne kyun nehin bana liya?
(So much tantrum to make one cake? And here a whole vat of hotpotch is on the gas on boil. By the way, why didn't Soha and Golu made the cake like last time?)
Anyhoo, Sonakshi is looking at her clothes collection and is muttering that all are looking the same.
Me: Hum bhi to kab se yehin bol rahe the, Behena. Rainbow colours pehen ne se curtains thodi naa silk ban jaati hain.
(That's what we had been saying for so long, Behena. Just because you wear rainbow colours, your curtain material is hardly changing into pure silk)
Just then Bhaiya video calls.
Sonakshi picks up the phone and asks angrily what does he need.
Bhaiya is taken aback: Whoa, why are you so angry. One minute, I know why.
Sona: You don't know anything.
Bhaiya: I know. You must have done a lot of work all day. Now that there is only an hour left, you don't know what to wear.
Sona agrees: Hummm... But why are you so happy?
Bhaiya: The whole Bose family is coming to my house for dinner. That's why I am so happy. In fact, I am very excited.
Me: Yep. We can see laddoo phooting in your heart. Let's see what kind of laddoo your family have prepared for Bose family. The kind you eat, or the one you use for target practice.

Bhaiya: Why cakes? Suhana madam is now in charge of cake decoration.
Sona says that there was no need for all these.
Bhaiya: Come on, Sonakshi. Don't spoil the fun. Why there's no need?
Sona: Because it's not our wedding.
Bhaiya smiles huge.
Sona asks: Why suddenly auntyji asks all of us suddenly?
Bhaiya: Because you have done so much for us. So we wanted to do something special for you.
Sona says that there was no need. She didn't do all this for anything in return.
Bhaiya: One minute Miss Sonakshi Bose. If you leave your strong, independent personality behind, will anything happen to it? Okay, see you tonight.
Behena stops him: Dev, one minute.
Bhaiya wonders why?
Behena: Did you wash your face before calling me? You must have washed your face with soap. There is soup on your ear.
Bhaiya looks in the camera and there is soup stuck on his ear.
Behena: You wash your face to look fresh before calling me?
Bhaiya stammers with excuses.
Sona: It's not your fault. People tends to get excited to talk to me.

Sona laughs. He hangs up the phone.
Me: Awww.... Don't they make better friends? That's exactly what they should be. They make shitty lovers. But they make amazing friends. Because you don't need compatibility to be friends. You just need willingness to make it work and to be there for each other. Friendship has no boundary, no laws and no expectations beyond support and standing together at all times.
Not all great friends make good lovers and but all great lovers are also amazing friends. Because friendship is the most solid foundation of any relationship.
Ishwari is moping in her room. Mamaji comes there. He says that she is still his kachodi - the world's best sister and mother.
Me: Huh? Since when?
Well, Mamaji then shifts to Sonakshi. He says that the woman she used to call an outsider, she stepped in and stood for her in front of Khatri. What she did for Ishwari which even her family could not do for her.
He tells Ishwari that he hopes she doesn't regret tomorrow that when Sonakshi was in front of her, she didn't embrace her. Everyone used to blame her that she broke the house. But that woman put his sister together.
Ishwari gives her fake smile and nods.
Me: Honestly, this lady is so obvious with her fake smile, but can't anyone see it? It's so clear from her body language that she is not happy to have to accept Sonakshi beating her Greatness game again.
And Mamaji, even super glue can't put together the mess that is your sister. So expecting Sonakshi to accomplish that is moot point. If everything that has happened so far could not fix her, nothing else can.
But like Dev, you also like to be in delusion that this is the moment when mental Maata has turned into Mother India.

At night, everyone is ready for dinner. Bijoy is throwing tantrums while everyone is ignoring him. Dev has sent two cars.
Bijoy's complaint is that Dev has sent two cars. They are not poor. They could go on their own.
Me: Seriously? Now that you are going, why don't you get an uber and go. Let your family go by the car Dev sent. If they get insulted and they refuse to get into the cars, they can walk home. You will still have your transport handy.
You don't use your brain, Bijoy.
Sonakshi calls Dev and asks what was the need to send two cars? Is he showing off? They could have come on their own?
Dev says that she had been showing off for so many days. She drove to save his life and since then she had been driving.
Sonakshi says: I am a fast learner. I have learned now. There's no problem anymore.
Bhaiya: That's the problem. You have no problem. You haven't left any problem for me to solve.
Me: Arre, bechara. Bhaiya ko heropanti ka chance nehin diya behena ne.
Bhaiya main ek chance doon? Chalo, apne ghar mein namak haram ki toli ko dhoondke nikalo aur bahar phenko. Your time starts now. Tick tock.
(Oh poor thing. Behena didn't give Bhaiya a chance to be hero.

Dev says that may be this is too much for someone. He means Mr. Bose. But this is the beginning of his thanks. She has driven enough in the last few days. So she can just sit in the backseat of the car and come.
Sonakshi says how will she sit in two cars?
Dev says that she won't believe that he is cares for her. But he does. He knew that they all won't fit in one car. So he sent another car for Saurabh and Ronita.
Sona turns to Saurabh and says that, Dev has specifically sent the other car for him and Ronita. So basically he is calling them fat.
Dev splutters over phone.
Saurabh gets angry and says that tell him that he is not coming either. Dev called him fat.
Sona says: Did you hear?
Dev: You are such a big devil. Put me on speaker.
Sona put him on speaker.
Dev says that Sonakshi is trying to rile Saurabh up. So he should not listen to her. He sent an extra car because he wanted to send a separate car for newly weds.
Saurabh gets flattered. He says okay. No need to butter him up. They are coming.
Dev asks them to come soon.
Saurabh points finger at Sonakshi as if to warn her.
She laughs. Dev tells her to sit in the car and come fast.
Sonakshi says yes, they are coming.
Me: Humm... Nothing to say except that I am enjoying the comfortable equation and friendship between Dev and Sona. The moment they removed the expectations and demands, how sweet their relationship became, isn't it?
Bhaiya asks if everyone is coming. Even Mr. Bose.
Me: Why do I get the feeling that Bhaiya enjoys Bijoy's company more than his family does?
Bijoy gets riled up: Why won't I come? Tell him that...
Sonakshi hurriedly cuts the phone. Bhaiya smirks here.

Everyone laughs.
Me: Yep. Bijoy is jumping a bit too much today. I told you Bijoy to either stay back or shut up. You can't do both. But you are now just being a spoilsport.
They come to Dixit house. Bijoy says that they are at their favourite house. He will see how they welcome them.
Asha says that he should have stayed back.
Bijoy says so that they could fool his daughter?
Asha asks how will they make fool of his daughter? Is Sona stupid?
Dida says that if he creates scene, then he should go back immediately.
Asha says that if they wanted to put them down, they won't have invited them. In fact, if they hadn't invited them, then they would have been insulted.
Me: Why? Why exactly would you had got insulted if they hadn't call you? Who are you to them, Asha?
And Bijoy, tone down the attitude and leave. No one tied you to the car and got you here. If your daughter is idiot enough to fall for the same trap for the third time, then what can you do?
Bijoy says that she doesn't know, that's their style. First they invite in their home and then...
Asha asks him to stay quiet. Ishwari just got discharged from hospital. She doesn't want Bijoy to argue with her.
Bijoy says that he has no desire to argue with that lady. He tells Asha to tell Ishwari to keep her mouth shut and he will do the same.
Me: Bijoy, you are making all valid points but due to your childish behaviour, every thing is sounding stupid. Please for God's sake, don't make a fool of yourself trying to save your daughter from being a fool.
Dev comes out and sees the car. He calls Elena that they are here. He himself comes out to get them out of the car.
Dida warns Bijoy that Dev himself is coming to get them. It's not insult, it's called paying respect. So he should keep his mouth shut.
Dev opens the door for them. Asha, Dida and Sona comes out.
Dev says that he is at their service. He wants to thank them that they came at his mother's invitation.
Elena comes out beaming and takes pictures.
He also greets Saurabh and Ronita: Special welcome for newly married couple.
He also notices Dadi's new saree and says that she wore a new saree.
Dadi is super happy that Dev noticed.
Sona asks him to stop saying thank you.
Saurabh says that if he intends to feed them with words. He is hungry.
Elena says that there's no need to be formal with her family.
Sona asks her to leave the camera.
Elena says that she can't pass on the chance to take picture of this special moment.
Elena then greets Dadi. Dadi is excited and tells Elena that she is now a mother. But her skin is the same as before. Very good.
Elena is happy.
Elena greets Ronita and Saurabh.
Bijoy is still sitting in the car glaring at them. The driver offers to open the door to off load his passenger.
Bijoy glares at the driver. The driver says sorry.
Everyone starts to go in when Bijoy gets out of the car.
Bhaiya turns back: I am sorry, Mr. Bose. I didn't see you.
Bijoy says: No need to say sorry. He welcomed all his important guests. Not to worry for him. He will come on his own.
Bhaiya looks at Sona and says: When will this Mogambo be happy?
Me: On your wedding day, Bhaiya. To someone else. Otherwise, just let him be miserable on his own. I just don't understand who deliberately puts themselves in a miserable situation when they don't have to.
Elena and Dev take everyone inside. Dev calls his mother inside. Dixit family come to greet them. Mamaji says that he is very happy to see them. They were waiting for Bose family.
Radha of course has to open her mouth. She says that since they came to know that you are coming, they could not sit still. After all they have old relationship with them.
Ishwari says that Radha is right.
Bijoy looks at Asha. Asha gestures with her eyes. He stays silent.
She greets Ishwari and asks her about her health.
Ishwari greets Dida and she also politely greets them.
Ishwari says that she is fine the moment she came home.
Bijoy is still with his hang dog expression. Ishwari folds her hand and Bijoy does too.
Ronita is standing behind Bijoy. She greets Ishwari and says that she could not come to the hospital. But she hopes that she is feeling better.
Asha says that they haven't met Ronita. Ronita is Saurabh's wife and their second daughter.
Ishwari doesn't even get it. She says that she is very pretty. Let's go in.
Asha introduces Radha and Vicky to Ronita.
Ronita says that she has met them before.
Radha says that yes, they have met. How is she?
Ronita responds that she is very happy since marrying Saurabh.
Ishwari remembers Mami's action.
Asha introduces Mamaji to Ronita. He greets Ronita and then asks about Jatin.
Bijoy says: He is our son. I mean like our son, Jatin. He is Sona's friend. He used to be Sona's friend. Now he is like our family member.
Vicky taunts: Right. I have seen him with Sonakshi ji many times.
Mamaji takes them in.
Me: Ooi maa, the undercurrent. These kind of situation gives me a strange claustrophobic feelings. It seemed that two opponent were sizing them up for mortal combat except Asha and Dida. Will they even be able to digest the food here? I mean I get indigestion in this kind of situations.
They all come in and sit down.
Dev comes there with waiters with welcome drink.
Me: *Snort* After that verbal mind games, they all need it...
The waiter offers the drink to Bijoy. He takes it. That makes Bhaiya happy.
Bhaiya then goes back to staring at Sonakshi who took a drink. Sonakshi looks at him.
Ishwari tells Sona that she is very happy that Sonakshi came there with her family on her invitation.
Sonakshi says that she had invited so kindly. So they had come.
Ishwari is all smiles.
Me: I don't get you, Maata. Where do you get your supply of mood swings? I mean, when Dev asked you to invite them, your face looked like someone told you that God has just issued a PR card in hell for you. Now you are all beauty pageant loser's fake smile and fake emotions. No really, you should have been in Hollywood. Ek aadh oscar to mil hi jaata ho ho karke. (One or two oscar you'd have bagged doing ho ho)
Bhaiya's happiness is increasing.
Just then Soha comes running and jumps on Bijoy and he gets the first genuine smile on his face. She also hugs Asha.
She greets everyone and says that if everyone got everyone's intro, can she give hers too?
Saurabh says that yes, sure. They don't know her. Does Bijoy and Asha know her? And Sona definitely doesn't know her.
Soha asks Sona if she is in her team. Sona says of course.
Dev smiles.
Ishwari also smiles.
Radha says that no matter how much a father loves his child. A child's heart is always attached to his mother.
Dev and Ishwari feel bad. Awkward situation.
Bijoy says that enough. No one will bother his Soha.
Soha says that she missed her Dadu. But she didn't miss Mamu.
Bijoy is all melty butter on hot, golden toast: I missed you too, my baby.
Soha then strikes her attack: Isn't this perfect? Won't it have been great if we all lived in the same house together. Won't it have been fun?
Me: Awkward moment strikes back.
Mamaji translates welcome drink in Hindi and asks if everyone had it?
Dev gets impressed with his Hindi translation. He asks Jatin if he had any. Jatin says that he had.
Bhaiya asks him to have one more. He also insists to Saurabh and says that JC made it but the recipe is of Elena's.
Saurabh says that if Elena gave this recipe, then he must drink.
Vicky taunts that they didn't know.
Mamaji taunts back that he only knows protein shake.
Asha says that they didn't need to do all this for them.
Ishwari says that how she could not have done all this? This is nothing in front of what her daughter did for her.
Sonakshi tries Modest Maalti's approach.
Ishwari says that what Sonakshi did, sometimes family (Radha glares, so Ishwari changes word), hardly anyone else could do.
Radha taunts in a sarcastic tone that Ishwari believes in Sonakshi a lot.
Me: Awkward moment returns.
Ishwari also thanks Jatin and Saurabh for helping Sona. Jatin says that she is embarrassing them by thanking them.
Saurabh raises the drink glass to Jatin.
Bijoy asks Saurabh if he will keep on drinking or eat food too.
Soha asks Bijoy that doesn't he like them?
Bijoy says that yes, he likes them. But he is getting hungry.
Soha runs to get Golu.
Bijoy tells Ishwari that they don't care about timing for food, but he gets hungry on the same time.
Mamaji says that it's very important to eat on time. His daughter taught them that.
Bijoy is suspicious if Mamaji is trying to lock up his village idiot daughter.
Ishwari gets up to check on food. Asha gets up to help her.
Ishwari asks Asha to sit down and leaves. Dev goes to check on the kids.
Asha glares at Bijoy. He asks why is she glaring at her? Did they come the first time there? When he is hungry, he will say it.
Me: Yes, Asha. You have to make up your mind on what you want. You have problem when Bijoy treats them like enemy. You have problem when he treat them like family and tells them when he is hungry. What the eff do you want? Do you think Bijoy is a toy for you to wind up as per your wish? If a man had done it, people would have been accusing him of being a control freak. What should we call you?
Mamaji asks him to treat their house like their own.
Sonakshi says that she will go and check Ishwari's medicine.
Bijoy says that she should. Her mother doesn't know anything here. But she knows everything what is where in the kitchen. So she should go.
Vicky gets up to attend a call.
Jatin says that he should go. Then he taunts looking at Mamaji that he must need to get more protein shake.
Radha taunts back: Her Red is superb. But Mamaji always taunts him.
Mamaji mutters something back.
Radha leaves from there.
Sona says if she can go or does he want to say something else?
Bijoy stays silent.
Me: Revenge of the Awkward!!!
Mamaji makes small talk with Saurabh.
Bijoy whispers to Asha why Ishwari is thanking Sona, Saurabh and Jatin. Jatin didn't even go to hospital.
Asha says that she doesn't know.
Bijoy says that it must be something. She didn't used to love his Sona so much before and Sona seems very comfortable with them too. They are also seeming different. What's the matter?
Asha says that she doesn't know.
Me: Bijoy, I know you are confused. But tone down your erratic behaviour please. It's hard for anyone to take you seriously, if you behave like demented old man. Instead observe quietly and ask Sona directly. She will at least tell you more than Asha even if she doesn't reveal all. Keep one thing in mind that your wife is not your ally.
But gosh!!! It was so claustrophobic for me that I had to step out to breathe fresh air. Why would anyone willingly step into such a weird situation without a gun in your head?
PRECAP: Sona asks what's all this? She knows that he heard the question. So answer to her why?
Dev says that the relationship that broke 7 years ago, the misunderstanding that happened, it's because of him.
Me: Hallelujah!!! Ting ting ting.... Bilkul sahi jawab. Hamare kaan taras gaye the yeh sunne ke liye Bhaiya... Sniff sniff.
(Absolutely right answer. We were waiting for so long to hear this, Bhaiya. Sniff sniff)

Awesome prediction Tia. If you ask me, I would just come to the second conclusion given bhaiya's track record, but let's see if he has grown any spine. His mom is too pretentious, so she wouldn't do anything to jeopardize her goddess image just after the big revelation. I just want to know if and how he shuts gkb and useless vicky's mouths. If he does that, there might be some chance for him. Otherwise, I would just say he is a complete gone case. Let's see if the dinner is another one of bhaiyaji's debacle or first step towards redemption.

well e.g.---I want to tell u my story I was very small in 8 th grade and stubborn as kid and u know those days tv was new thing for us it was black and white whatever came was thrilling to me I got maximum scoldings for watching tv my mom always was control freak but since I was kid I never listened to her but I only listened to my dad my dad used to work and travel once a week he used to be at home seeing me watching tv and my mom yelling he used to tell my mom let her watch but one day he sat and told me watch tv as much as u can but studies are equally important he said .
I went on watching tv but then after watching I realized I need to study to and tv won't run away but time flies and education is very important from then on I studied and limited watched tv .
So u see I feel a space will sometimes work I feel dev will try to do so but I feel at least ish thought process will start off she may realize what her faults are slowly.
But it will take a while for devish to please sona and bijoy this time they won't trust them that easily papad bhelna padega devish ko to please sona bijoy
I agree. That's exactly my point. The story you told is actually what is called forbidden fruit. The more you deprive someone of something, the more they want it. Easily available things are never valued. When Sonakshi was easily available, Dev discarded her without second thought. Now she is refusing to return in his life, so he has rolled out the grand welcome mat.

Things that are easily available are not valued. Bijoy's love, care and protection are all too easily available for his family. ReplyDeleteI still am not liking Asha's attitude and whole of Bose family members' treatment towards Bijoy. They uses to be goals in S1. Now they have undergone a phase shift of 180° god knows why! Bijoy is deliberately shown as an undesirable character, esp. after middle of S2. And I am seeing a lot of subtle changes in Ishwari. In the recent episodes, I couldn't stop but curse Sonakshi for being a person without self respect and for not drawing the boundary with her relationships with her ex hubby n his family members. Going out of the way to help the person who destroyed her very idea of love, family and fairy tale. She might be the bigger person but it did not go well with me. And I don't like the way she treats her dad for being reasonable. Asha is getting eww day by day. Chorni is glorified and Memsaab even fell on her feet and apologized. So looting the whole property is wrong but it is okay to steal 2 bangles? Lol. Great lesson imparted to the society. I will keep my mind away and watch the episodes as standalone. I loved todays episode. Esp. The face wash part in the video conversation. Brought me back the memories of the Razor convo in S1. :D Anyway, I'll comment after your update. I have never seen such enthusiasm to go to someone's ex's house for dinner where they were mistreated. It literally felt like twilight zone to me. I mean none of them has any self-respect except Bijoy? Will Ishwari ever eat at Bose house? Never. She is treated like a Goddess because she doesn't bend over backwards for anyone. In fact she even withholds love and affection if she doesn't get her own way.

ReplyDeleteI hate the Suhana character and the child that plays the character is starting to grate on my nerves too. She is attached to Ishwari but has hardly spent time with her; when Ishwari is home she sits in her room and fumes about Dev and Sonakshi. So how is this kid so attached to the grandmother? What happened to mission: Suhana Bose?
Also, do the writers realize that Dev went from fighting with Sonakshi like an animal and calling her a slut and what not to falling for her again and fantasizing about marriage in 1 week (tv time)? It's been a week and 2 days in TV time. I realize that he never really hated her, but if that was the case how come he never went looking for her all those years ago? His anger resolved in less than a week, so why not then? Why not even check on her, then he would have found out about Suhana. Why was there even this stupid leap? All this could have been achieved without the leap, it would have made more sense.
Also, why are the Boses so nice to the Dixits? Have they forgotten about the eviction and the accusations they made against their family? I get that you have to be cordial for Suhana's sake but everyone behaves like the eviction never happened. Asha fucking behaves like Ishwari didn't have a hand in hurting her daughter. Nobody is this forgiving, NOBODY.
I hate Asha, but I hate Saurabh more because he played a huge part in the eviction and separation and never did anything to fix it/clarify with Dev. Saurabh had every right to question Dev about lending him the $5 crore if his mother wasn't cool with it. Why is he so buddy buddy with Dev? What has Dev done for him to warrant this kind of friendliness?
Why is Dev such a jerk to Bijoy, he provokes Bijoy all the time now, writers, this is not comedy. How is that respecting his daughter's grandfather? If he blames Bijoy for not convincing Sonakshi to come back to Dev all those years ago, then what about how Dev treated Ranveer when Neha left? Sonakshi had a valid reason for leaving, Neha did not. Why didn't Dev convince Neha to go back to her husband? We don't even know why Neha left the way she did. If Dev holds Bijoy responsible to the separation then why is he able to forgive his mother and not Bijoy, they both played a role and Dev knows his mom's hand in all this. If Dev really is grateful to the Bose family then why provoke Bijoy?
I really hope the writers don't make everything even out by claiming that the 5 crore that Dev invested was still used by Sonakshi and Saurabh after all that happened. I hope that they don't dismiss the work Sonakshi did in this way.
The romance that they have now is too shallow and cheesy because of unwarranted bitterness of the infertility track, breakup and "tashan" of S2. Today's conversation between Dev and Sonakshi sounds so fake and out of place after all the screaming and yelling of S2. Is it me or the way Dev is portrayed makes him seem more lustful than in love with Sonakshi. Even in S1 he only fought with Sonakshi when he had to wait for them to consummate the marriage, and was cool with her once they did it.
The writers tend to forget what they showed us a couple of weeks back. Now they have swept all that under the carpet. Did you not hear yesterday's dialogue by sonakshi where in she justified Devs rants by saying that: I know you talk nonsense to me so that you can hide your real feelings. 🔪 Yup I felt like murdering someone at that time.

Suhana is basically a mini Ishwari, why did they need her in this story? The story is weaker because they introduced a child. Especially since Dev said he could live without becoming a father, and this child is only around because Ishwari forced Dev and Sonakshi to have sex. It's proof that Ishwari always gets what she wants regardless of the awful things she says and does to others.

DeleteToday's episode belongs to Bujouy Bose. Love him and he is the best. It looked a bit uncomfortable for me to see Dev trying to flirt with Bujouy just like the other Bose family members but I think unless Dev gets his pardon from Bujoy these scenes of pulling Bujouy leg like Jantin and others won't have the magic. So not just sona's but Dev has to win Bujouy's heart and trust as well, after all he hurt Bujoy too.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Bhaiya can only win Bijoy's heart in one way. Bijoy's love is attached to his respect. He loves people he respects. Jatin got his respect, Sona got his respect, Asha got his respect. Dev had his respect but he lost it. So the first step to win Bijoy's heart is to win his respect. And he can only do it when he becomes his own person and not puppet of his mother, the second step is to never hurt any member of his family or hurt them. As long as Dev manages to do that, he will have his respect (like when he got saree for Soha on Saurabh's Sangeet). Once he gets Bijoy's respect, his love will follow.
DeleteWe know no human being is perfect everyone has flaws so do Bose family members. But I thing I adore about bose family is that they complement each other and allow and help each other to introspect their flaws, thinking. This is how family do work to make it perfect for them. I wish Dev gets to spend more time with Boses to see how family try to work together to make things perfect for them, as once Sonakshi said to Dev before that he should attend Bose family orientation classes.

Until he does it, he won't see the difference between his family and real family. I had more hopes from Dev going back to Bose house after his one week was over. But it seems neither Dev nor Soha have any intention of going back to the Bose house.

If put aside the fact that they so conveniently forgot about being thrown out of the house at midnight by Dev, I actually enjoyed the scenes.
The PH did a good job of editing the scenes, clearly Shah's were shot differently and he wasnt even present.

Now that Sona is getting close to Dixits, it is important to see whether the Dixit house is still toxic as it was 7 years ago or is there any improvement. If GKB/Ishwri does some insulting, it is better if they do know. Everyone in Bose family including Asha will on their guard and advise Sona accordingly. And if Dev prevails on GKB/Ishwari, then Bijoy will gain some confidence. So it is kinda trial! :)

No worries, hun. There is no rule there. That prediction might be very well true. But I won't blame Bijoy. He was accused of being a thief by the same woman who has been proven a thief. So he is entitled to point it out. Not to mention, no one had told him that Dev didn't steal Ronita's jewellery. I had said that Asha is responsible for this and if the spoiler is true, I will blame Asha. Just like a husband is responsible for a wife's honour, a wife is responsible for a husband's honour. Bijoy has always protected Asha's honour. But Asha has failed big in protecting her husband's honour. I find her distasteful these days with her holier than thou attitude when she herself is a shitty wife.

She said that she wants her mother and father together. Otherwise she will go back to Kolkata with her grandparents. She had been staying just fine without her mother. And since she came to Dixit house, her parents had never been in the same room with her, let alone in the same bed. But she is absolutely fine with it.
She grew up with a certain people. But not she is suddenly obsessed with her new found Dadi and doesn't even bother asking about the people she grew up with. So that makes me think that when she falls in love and gets married, she will not even bother looking back to her father then either.
As I said, she is coming off as manipulative and a typical Dixit like Ishwari.

ReplyDeleteOne thing that's actually looks so funny to me is how ishwari keeps calling Sonakshi beta beta. Isn't this the same lady who always addressed her as "woh ladke." Even when she was in good terms with her, she called her nutrition, not once beta. Now all of a sudden she can't get enough of calling her beta beta, seriously??
Ok now I know how they are going to make bijoy villain, probably gkb or Vicky might reveal ishwari stealing and he might create a ruckus, and ishwari ban gayi mahaan bcoz she was a single poor mother of 4, so that makes it a divine deed. Then the Bose family gets to insult bijoy more and how he deserved to be treated so bad.
Someone above said something about dev's comment on bijoy and how he would react if Sonakshi taunted Ishwari. Dev definitely wouldn't tolerate bcoz the only reason she is still a goddess to him despite all her evil deeds is bcoz he truly loves her and neither does he taunt her nor backbite about her in front of others. This Bose family doesn't mind doing either of these with bijoy. When one's own family doesn't give any respect to a family member, so what can we expect from outsiders. Biggest example for this is Sonakshi herself, still this moron is treating her father like this.
Asha is a gone case, but still I'm amazed bcoz I've seen wives fight for their husband's respect even with their own parents, they never tolerate it he isn't respected properly, sometimes even when the said husband is a jerk. Yet here this lady is taunting her honest and loving husband for a woman and a guy who have done everything to destroy her family, her daughter and who slapped her husband. This isn't reality. Either she's a hypocritical bitch (excuse the language but I'm so mad with this lady) or she's just plain dumb.
I love kids a lot, they are the meaning of innocence and honesty to me. Sorry to say this but yet I don't know why this kid soha is getting on my nerves so much. She is just a miniature ishwari, equally manipulative and pretentious. The dialogue that she keeps saying everytime "hope we were all together," rather she should be asking why her parents aren't together at all in the first place. The kid's acting isn't helping me like her that much either. On the contrary I'm liking golu more and more these days. He is innocent. Only this show's makers can make someone not like a kid too. All in the name of hailing mataji.
God help me, I think I've ranted more than enough already.
Oh don't worry. That's exactly I made this blog so that people can speak their mind unrestricted. I agree with everything you said. I had been saying it for days. Frankly, these days Golu and Ronita are my only favourite characters in the show. I can't tolerate anyone else.
