Tia's Thread: Oops I did it again...
Today's I will start with a fictional character who has impressed the hell out of
me. Read this article.
So since there is a prime example of
manhood who are from those rare honourable gentlemen whose word is their bond, a man
who stands up for the right thing regardless of who is on the wrong side, a man
who loves and respects his mother but doesn't let her insult a woman (any
woman), a man who also loves his wife and respects her intelligence, a man any
woman would be proud to call a son, a brother, a lover, a husband and/or a
father - there isn't much left to say for the TV leads we keep seeing on
screen.
Now, don't get me wrong. I can
understand that not everyone can be perfection incarnated. And I don't mind
flawed human beings. But I want to see either redemption if their flaws are
harmful, or them learning from past mistakes or them facing the consequences
for their actions.
For example, we want the villains to
pay for their crime and we also want the good people be rewarded for their good
deeds. No one wants to watch a psycho killer never facing the consequences for
their action, do we?
It's not difficult at all. Every
human being has in-built system to learn from their past mistakes. Heck, every
living creature has the same instinct.
Even if a dog gets burned once, they
know not to play with fire again.
But not the main leads of this show.
Nope. They don't learn from their mistakes because that's how the writer wanted
to portray them - flawed and unchanged.
Fair enough. But we also know that
for anything in the world, if you continuously repeat a process which has
failed in the past using the same combination of situations/skills/people
without changing anything, then it ends up in a cycle of identical results
repeated without an ending.
Which is what Dev and Sona are
destined to be in this particular case. Even in Maths language, if A + B =
C, then if you don't change A and B, then the result will only be D, if
C = D.
So happy ending is never in their
destiny in that situation. As always, Sona is impressed by Dev, the father and
son (just like before) and Dev is impressed by Sona the problem solver and
crisis manager (also like before. Sona is unable to live with Dev, the husband
whose string is in Ishwari's hands and Dev is unable to live with Sona who has
a strong sense of fairness and justice which he can never be when it comes to
his family.
However, Dev, the husband is to
remain unchanged and Sona, the wife is also to remain unchanged as per the
writer.
So the only way the outcome could be
different this time if Dev's family including Ishwari's attitude is
changed.
So Sonakshi has to be content with
the fact that again, the reason her marriage might have a shot at being
successful is because of external factors. Hence, any time the external factors
turn back into their previous state, her marriage is doomed to failure. As in
same gamble all over again.
And Dev will again get to have his
cake and eat it too except if ever external factors turn back to before and he
starts to resent Sonakshi for not changing herself to suit his purpose since he
is inflexible. As in same expectations all over again.
I could have thought that they have
a teeny-tiny shot at happy ending, however, the new spoiler I saw today made me
realise how appropriate Doggy Tail title was.
The spoiler is that Soha and Golu
are playing Ludo. Dev distracts Golu and changes the dice so that Soha can win.
Why was it necessary for Soha to win Ludo by cheating, don't ask. I don't know the answer to that. However, due
to Sona's upbringing, Soha doesn't want to accept a win (any win) using cheating. She
tells Golu the truth. Golu obviously gets mad and runs away.
I won't give my opinion about the spoiler now. I
will wait until the episode airs. But I know what my opinion is going to
be.
Now excuse me, I have to go back and
drool on Amarendra Bahubali until the episode airs.
EPISODE: The episode starts with Bhaiya pacing in his room.
He says that there is no way to find Khatri now thanks to Sona's failed idea. He decides to talk to her, but with a calm head of course and see what else useless ideas she can come up with.
Me: Now this is why you confuse me, Bhaiya.
You have PI on payroll, police is in your pocket, Media is under your thumb and politicians are your best buddy. Yet you are expecting Sonakshi to a. fix your problem because hey you punched a locked prisoner in police custody and b. for her to come up with the idea to fix this whose help apparently is useless for you.
However, I understand why you want to deal with her with a cool head. It's not that you want to (as your Friday rant proves), but you have to. Well, because Sonakshi is no longer wearing the Dixit's lapdog leash. She can now tell you to go eff yourself and there is absolutely nothing you can do about that.
But don't worry. The doormat tendency is not going to change in Sonakshi. The writer said so.

Anyhoo, here in Sonakshi’s
room (or in Bhaiya’s room, not sure where she is) she gets a call from Jatin
Bhaiya.
He says that she was
right. He followed Khatri to his house.
Sona says that it’s good
that he did that. Now they can keep an eye on Khatri and also asks him not to
let Khatri go.
Me: Behena, Jatin Bhaiya
na Venture Capitalist hain as per his resume. Paltu kutta nehin hain ki kisi ke
bhi peeche laga diya. Itna hi saukh hain jasoosi ka to khud handle karo naa. Kabhi
Sherlock ko Watson ko paltu kutte ki tarah use karte hue dekha hain jab who khud
ghar mein kharrate le raha ho?
(Sister, Jatin is Venture
Capitalist as per his resume. He is not your pet dog to sic on anyone you feel
like. If you want to be a detective so badly, then why not handle yourself?
Have you ever seen Sherlock treating Watson like his guard dog while he takes
nap at his apartment?)
Jatin Bhaiya warns her of the danger of getting involved with a man like
Khatri.
Me: Kaheka danger? Madam to
ghar mein baithi hain. Aap to apni jaan ki socho.
(What danger? She is sitting
at home. You think about your danger)
Sona: I am doing it for Dev.
He is such a good boy. His strength and weakness is his mother and I know
Khatri will use it against him. I
can do this much for him, no?
Me:
Sure... You do that. But why should Jatin Bhaiya risk his life for you or even
your good wee little boy? If he becomes demented animal when it comes to his mother,
well, then that's not someone else's problem. You want to live with explosive
irrational content, that's your choice. Why drag Jatin Bhaiya? Thoda apna paisa
kharcha karo aur detective hire karo. (Spend some of your money and hire a
detective).
Anyhoo,
Bhaiya listens everything from outside as usual through the trusted channel of
eavesdropping Dixit style.
He
leaves from there cursing himself for again being a Pappu (idiot).
He
comes downstairs and says: I am so stupid. How many times a man has to make
mistakes before he learns a lesson? Why can’t I understand that Sonakshi is
just trying to help me? I again scolded her and shouted at her.
He bangs his head against a
pillar.
Me (sipping Pepsi): Ummm...
Sorry, were you expecting a protest? No, Bhaiya. You are on the right track.
Just the banging needs to be harder to shake loose a few brain cells. Hamesha
kaam ke time so jaate hain. (They always fall asleep during work hours).
Golu sees Bhaiya banging his
head, very lightly.
He asks: What happened? Did you make any mistake?
Bhaiya gets away from pillar
fast. He asks Golu: Tell me something. If your father tells you to do ABC and
your mother tells you to do XYZ, what will you do?
Golu says: Simple. XYZ.
Bhaiya: Why?
Me: Yeh aap pooch rahe hain
Bhaiya? Mummy taang de ya naa de, Mummy worship to aapke khoon mein hain. Golu
udhar se hi channel kiya hoga.
(You are asking this, Bhaiya?
Whether Mummy kicks you in the backside or not, Mummy worship is in your blood.
Golu must have channeled it from you)
Golu responds: First of all,
ABC ends with XYZ and also I listen to my Mummy because Mummy is always right.
Me: See? Kya bola tha maine?
(What did I say?)
Bhaiya laments: I am so mad.
Me: Haila!!! Aaj to chamatkar
ho gaya. (Haila!!! It’s a miracle) I am agreeing with everything you are
saying!!!
Golu: You are mad?
Me: Yes, darling. The sooner
you learn, the better you will cope.
Bhaiya: Yes. You are so young
and even you know that girls are always right. We should listen to them. I have
grown up so much, yet I don’t know.
Me: Except when it comes to
one girl, Bhaiya. Sorry, not girl. Just a Mummy. When any other girl/woman is
put in front of not-at-all-woman Mummy, everyone else is wrong. Because girls
may be always right. But not-woman-just-Mummys are God reincarnated and whatever
they say, proceeds over any girl/woman.
Bhaiya bangs his head against
the pillar some more.
Golu: Why are you making hole
in the wall using your head?
Bhaiya: Then what should I
do?
Me (Smug): Finally. I thought
you’d never ask. Brain transplant? Aaj kal to medical science ne kitni tarakki
kar li hain. Kisi ka bhi dimaag nikal ke aapke mostly khali khopdi mein daal sakte hain. Bole
to neurosurgeon ka number doon? (These days medical science has progressed so
much. Anyone’s brain can be transplanted into your empty head. Should I send
you contacts for neurosurgeon?
Bhaiya: I don’t understand
this little thing. I always say the same thing, make the same mistake.
Golu laughs.
Bhaiya: You are laughing at
me. Okay. Laugh away. It’s all your BigChi’s fault. I mean your ex-BigChi. She
knows that I am like this. She should make me understand. But she didn’t. I
kept ranting but she didn’t say anything. She just kept standing with her
stylish clothes and short hair and kept saying (mimics Sonakshi's tone), “Dev, listen.” “Dev, Tumi
impossible.” “Dev…”
Me: Of course, Bhaiya. It’s
all her fault. She is the moron. I completely agree.
Sona comes and stands behind
him.
Golu screams: Dev.
Bhaiya (in original voice): What did you say?
Golu points behind him.
Bhaiya slowly turns and there Sona is standing.
Bhaiya gets quiet as a church
mouse in an instant.
Golu is super impressed with
his multi-talented BigCha: Wow, BigCha. You mimic ex-BigChi so well.
He turns to Sona: BigChi, BigCha is so talented no?
Sonakshi: Yes, he is very talented. He is very talented in
making a hole in the wall. Let’s do one thing. Bring me a hammer, let’s break
his skull and see if there is a brain in there or not.
Golu: Okay, I will go ask
grandfather where he keeps his hammer.
Me: Arre bachhe se itna kaam
kyun karwate ho? Abhi tak aap ko behena yeh samajh nehin aaya ki Bhaiya ke paas
sirf shakal hain? Kam se kam apni akal to dhoond lo.
(Why make a kid work
unnecessarily? You still didn’t get that Bhaiya only has looks? At least find
your brain first before looking for someone else’s)
Me: Yes. He is just that
shallow and so are you, Behena. Looks is kind of end all for you as well.
Honestly, what else he got to offer beyond looks (gonna go to pots some day.
Considering alcoholism, sooner rather than later) and money (which can’t buy
sense or intelligence or sensitivity or honour or respect or… you get the
point)?
Bhaiya hurriedly intervenes
before Sonakshi realizes the empty space between his ears.
He asks Golu to go from
there.
Golu smiles and goes.
Bhaiya tells Behena: You want
a hammer? I will get it for you. I do things like that. Actually when I heard
that Khatri made fool out of us and got away, I, a little…
Sona: A little?
Dev: A little more… I mean, a
lot
Sona: Got angry and said whatever
I felt like in anger. But that’s not a big deal, Dev. You always do the same.
People call you batman, superman. But you are Hulk. First you shout for no
reason, and then you will expect that I will forgive you with your sorry face and floppy hair?
Me: Kaun log Bhaiya ko
Batman, Superman bolte hain Behena? Sirf do chote chote bachhe ko chodke who don’t
know any better? Kaun sa Batman aur Superman ko Wonder Woman aur Iron Man ka help chahiye
hota hain Joker ko pakadne ke liye aur apna itna bada pappu banate hain har roz?
(Who calls Bhaiya Batman,
Superman, behena? Except two impressionable little kids who don’t know any
better. When did Batman or Superman needed Wonder Woman aur Iron Man’s help to catch Joker
and made such a fool of them in daily basis?)
And why should not he expect
to be forgiven every time? Isn’t that the track record you have set for
yourself that he can treat you like anything and you will always bend over
backwards to forgive him? Even before he has to actually utter sorry?
Bhaiya hears the only point
in the entire statement of Behena that touches his only quality, his looks:
Why, is my hair not set?
Me: Naa re, naa. Ab to utha
le re baba. Ab to facepalm bhi chota pad raha hain.
(No, no, hell no. Now you
just take me up. Even facepalm is not working anymore)
Behena: Are you serious?
Behena: You are always like
this. You always behave like this and expect me to forgive you. But how long?
Me: However long you can
stretch your patience, I guess? And considering the elasticity of your
patience, it’s as long as he is not married to you. Because it snaps the moment
you are legally tied to him.
Bhaiya: You are absolutely
right. I also scolded myself before you came in. If you want, you can ask Golu…
Me: Naa, no comment. I need a
cool pack on my head and a hot pack on my neck to cool down the hot portion and
the cricked up portion for shaking my head in exasperation.
Sona: Very nice, that’s your
explanation. Yes, I should be happy naa that you scolded yourself.
Me: Again, you don’t have to
swallow the lame excuses nor you will have to come up with one for him. You can
just use your brain and dust off your hands from his Mummy issues. But you won’t
because you are a moron. So it’s not a stretch of imagination to guess what bull
and in how much quantity you can swallow.
In the meanwhile, Sona’s
Watson (Jatin Bhaiya), appoints secondary level volunteer to perform Dev’s responsibility
– Saurabh daada. Kyunki pai pai bachake hi yeh log crorepati bane hain.
Keep in mind, none of them
know what are they doing and for what reason. So if Khatri off them with his
gun, they will die without knowing in what great service, they sacrificed their
lives.
Anyhoo, Watson 1 tells Watson
2 to distract the man from the house so that he can add 1. Trespassing, 2.
Breaking and Entering, 3. Theft to his list of crimes.
And the newly appointed
Watson can add minor accessory to all of the above crimes to his charge sheet.
Saurabh first denies. Then
agrees because of course, except Bijoy every one in Bose family is a pushover.
Back at Dixit house, Sonakshi
says: Look up here (Me: Hain, where was he looking?) Why do you think that I
will hurt your family? Your family is also important to me and this is related
to your Mummy darling. Why should I do this? I also respect her as much as you.
When will you get that? So if you don’t think anymore that I have made any
mistake to get Khatri out, can I leave now?
Sona is about to leave when Bhaiya
stammers: Sonakshi, if I knew that you planned all this, then…
Sonakshi: It’s okay. Your
first excuse was better.
Bhaiya: Can I help?
Sona: It’s okay. Let it be.
Me: *Snort* Bhaiya ki help
kitna kaam ka hain, yeh ab Behena ko bhi pata chal gaya.
(Lol, how much Bhaiya’s help
is worth, even Behena knows now.)
Now please refer back to my
three types of people article from Thursday’s episode? Yep, this is how you
need to take care of people who always need someone to take care of them. Like
a kid. Because you can’t expect to be forgiven like a kid with no sense one
second and can’t expect to turn into an adult and be involved in all serious
matter the next – that’s not how it works. If you want to be treated like an
adult, Bhaiya, behave like one first.
Radha is struggling with a laptop. She is trying to find solutions to
get rid of Sona from Google Baba. Vicky comes with solution to get Bhaiya
re-married. He shows her pictures of girls and tells her to convince Ishwari
for Bhaiya's re-marriage. Because everyone knows that Bhaiya doesn't have any
brain of his own. Whatever Mummy says, he will do.
Me: Look everyone says that I taunt Bhaiya and think he is a moron. But look at his reputation. No one thinks that he has two brain cells to fire up his own decision making prowess.
Me: Look everyone says that I taunt Bhaiya and think he is a moron. But look at his reputation. No one thinks that he has two brain cells to fire up his own decision making prowess.
Ishwari is sitting as usual with constipated face in her room. Golu and
Soha come to Ishwari because this is Dixit house and even kids with parents
feel like orphans, looking for adults.
Soha
and Golu figure out to cheer her up which is promotion of a cartoon channel.
Me:
Sahi hain. Cartoon for looney toon.
In the meanwhile, Jatin
Bhaiya searches Khatri's house. Saurabh Daada is keeping watch.
Khatri is about to go in, Saurabh Daada tries to distract him.
Khatri threatens him. He slinks away.
In the meanwhile the Watson part 1 finds an album in Khatri's house
which has Ishwari and Khatri's picture. He smiles and thinks that may be they
have found what they were looking for.
Me: Dosti ke liye yeh aadmi itna chakki piss chuka hain bina
kuch jaane. To socho apne pyaar ke liye yeh aadmi kya karega. Some lucky woman
is going to marry this amazing guy. Honourable gentleman to bhaiya iss age mein
bhi milta hain. Lekin ladkiyon ka taste aaj kal itna kharab hain to yeh bechare
kya karen?
(If he has done so much for friendship without asking anything,
just think what he will do for love. Some lucky woman is going to marry this
guy. Honourable gentlemen are available in today's age too. But when some women
have such bad taste when it comes to men, then what to do about that?)
Anyhoo, Saurabh comes home.
Asha is fretting. She says that their father is scheduled to return.
Saurabh doesn’t get what’s wrong.
Ronita doesn’t get it either.
Asha says: Don’t you get what
will happen when he comes back?
Saurabh says: What will
happen? He will call me football, praise Ronita, he will make some mistakes,
you will scold him and Dida will support me etc etc etc.
Asha says: Shut up, idiot.
Don’t you know what will happen when he comes to know that his darling daughter
and his granddaughter willingly stayed back in that house and especially when
Ishwari ji is there?
Everyone worry when Ronita
sees someone standing behind them and elbows Saurabh.
Asha asks: Now what happened?
Why are you looking as if you two saw a ghost?
It’s Bijoy Bose, of course.
And not only Bijoy Bose, but angry bird Bijoy Bose.
Me: Isn’t it funny that every
time people do something wrong or don’t behave in a fair and just manner, Bijoy
Bose creates the fear of God in them? No wonder Dixit family hates him.
He is like Bhishma. Always
fair, just, straight and narrow on the path of truth and justice. He doesn’t
take one cent extra favour if he hasn’t done equal favour. He also doesn’t
spare one cent extra unjust behavior if he hasn’t paid it back in full.
But just like Bhishma, he is
tied to the family which technically belongs to him, but the biggest bunch of
ungrateful people to ever live and always use his generosity and loyalty
against him.
Fillers of the day:
1.
Empty head is home of the Devil > As proved by Ishwari who is
lamenting to Mamaji that Dev is happy with Soha. She wishes somehow Sonakshi
falls from the face of the Earth so they all can be happy.
Mamaji tells her that they
are adults and Suhana’s parents. Whatever they do, they will do for Suhana.
Me: Newsflash, Mamaji. That
is not something Maata wants to hear. If you tell her that Dev is 8 years old
and whatever he will ever do will do it for only Maataji, that will make her
happy. And if you want to increase her happiness to 100th
percentile, just tell her that Sonakshi has decided to burn herself in funeral
pyre, jump of a cliff, hang herself with a rope, tie a grenade to her body and
pull the pin, has a fatal disease and gonna die shortly etc etc etc.
2.
When someone has nothing to whine about, they go looking for
something to create drama > As proven by Ronita crying over a movie as if
her mother told her that she is coming for a prolonged stay at Bose house.
Saurabh first laughs, then watches the movie and they cry together. Bose house
is a cruel place to live. They give no option to create unnecessary drama and
pathos. So women there go looking for tragedy to fulfill their angst quota for
the day.
PRECAP: Sonakshi is packing her bags
and Bhaiya takes her packing out.
Sona: What are you doing? Why
are you increasing my work? I just packed them.
Dev: I was taking things out
so that you don’t go anywhere.
Sonakshi: Now there is no
point talking about it.
Dev: You are right, there is
no point talking to you about it.
Me: This is exactly what I
had said in my introduction. This is why, they are destined to repeat the same
pattern over and over again.
Oh and Sona, you generosity
vanished so soon? Weren’t you going to do some more favour over Maataji whom
you respect as much as Bhaiya? Well, he is tied to her slavery for eternity,
are you not prepared to do the same?
Bhaiya didn’t made fool out
of you, girl. You keep fooling yourself - Again. And there is no bigger fool
than someone who refuses to see the truth with their own eyes.
NO RULES!!! YAY!!!
*hugs* *kisses*
ReplyDeleteThanks Tia. I'm already dancing...I have read the link you posted.
Amarendra Bahubali....*dreams*
I never knew I was capable of fangirling even now ...until I saw him on screen
I know, right? This is what I call a true honourable gentleman. Amazing guy!!! I didn't know I could be a fan girl until him. Even his son can't match up to his aura.
DeleteI'm drooling already...I still remember I didnot even want to watch krpkab after watching BB2. Daily dose of PD whining, blaming Sona..If only I had a time machine I would have transferred him to the bahubali era so that he gets the feel of it first hand..LOL
DeleteI know, right? I wonder how Bhaiya would react in front of Amarendra Bahubali. May be he needs a dose of how to be a gentleman.
DeleteSame pinch guari 1 week I didn't watch krk because I was drawn to babubali and I watched yesterday the movie again what a personality in the movie dev is waste no were near the true gentleman like bahubali in fact I think he is far better than ramji of ramayan
DeleteShailu hi-five.
DeleteHi five
DeleteBang on article tia ,and the article is true i saw the clip as well where golu gets disheartened and runs away:(oh god i cant see golu like this ...i wanted to slam dev's head on the wall right now
ReplyDeletesorry not article its spoiler:)
DeleteThat sweet kid is going to get hurt. I saw the spoiler too. I don't want golu to get hurt because of Devs immature nature!
Deleteexactly i dont want golu to get hurt becoz of dev s stupid acts
Deleteexactly i dont want golu to get hurt becoz of dev s stupid acts
DeleteThank you, Hira. Yep, the spoiler didn't surprise me beyond the fact that it just showed the limit Dev Dixit can stoop to, to make his own daughter win a game of frigging Ludo. Next time he claims that he loves Golu like his own son, I am going to call bull shit on it.
DeleteWhy cheat at all???? He's sooo immature.
DeleteSOHA --- way to go gal. Now... what I don't get is that the kids seem clueless to everything ? When SOHA seemed to be on top of everything at Bose Baba house?
Its like they don't know WHAT to do with them --- so they just hang around and fund-raise!
Exactly. Who cheats at Ludo of all things?
DeleteKaash yeh simple mathematic sab ko samajh aati. Anyways , I really don't want Dev & Sona's HEA to happen as a result of Ishwari's redemption . It should happen as a result of Dev's redemption and irrespective of how Ishwari feels about it .
ReplyDeleteYes if dev and sona decide to get back together then I too want it because their issues have been dealt with not because ishwari is positive suddenly and wants sona to be her bahu.
DeleteWell, as much as we expect otherwise, since makers don't want Dev and Sona to change, the only thing left to change is Ishwari. So what you don't want to see might be what we will end up seeing after all.
DeleteWow bahubali is indeed some man. Come on that's what every woman wants her man to stand by her for what is right even at cost of loosing everything and every one. I don't mean to say that every one should leave their family and live an isolated life. What I meant was that a woman must be absolutely sure that even with the whole world against her , her life partner is standing by her.
ReplyDeleteA good example for that would be in recent times the husband of bilqis bano. The case of her gang rape and murder of 14 members of her family has been going on for more than 10 years and that too under intense media coverage but every time I see her news I see her husband standing right behind her with that determined expression. He is my hero forever. I know I went a bit off the topic but here there are no rules so.
Coming to today's episode. I think that it was just a filler. And after reading the blog by durjoy I don't have too much hope for sona or dev. But if there are any young people reading this blog please understand one thing if you have to keep on justifying yourself in a relationship forever then it's not a healthy relationship. Take a stand and stop explaining and pleading with your partner to understand you. It's your right expect understanding and support from your partner. Not something he or she gives you according to their whims and fancies.
And why are such rich people like dev and sona not employing some private detective or something. Why are they depending on jatin. And did anyone notice there is a gun in kathris home.
Exactly. There are many men in this world who are incredible and supportive. They respect their wives and stand by them through thick and thin. And then there is Bhaiya. My point was exactly that. Why didn't any of them thought to hire a PI? It's just a matter of finding the name and getting out of corporation record/tax records their full details and then tracking them using bank account. Any PI can do it. And finding Khatri is even easier with PI. Why risk Jatin's life while madam Sonakshi is chilling in AC?
DeleteAwesome article amazing character written so well both the women in his life were so strong including him they believed in what was right but his mom in anger did a sinful thing later to repent hardly we see such character I feel he is better than ram in ramayan he fought for right and stood as rock besides his wife
ReplyDeleteRepentance and redemption this is exactly what I am searching for in characters like dev and ishwari. But guess it's not happening any time soon.
DeleteThat's exactly what I am saying. There are people who stand up for the people they love through thick and thin. And there is Dev, who dump the so-called love the moment Maata crooks her finger. Repentance and redemption don't seem to be on the cards as per the new revelation. So it will be a repeat telecast of reunion 2, post break up 1.
Deleteyou know whats bothersome is not that he loves MAATA --- its that he is sooo spineless. Doesn't even try to see the other side - to just stop being a whiny immature brat. AAAhhhh :) rule-free :) we can say it!
DeleteYes, you can say it aloud. It feels great to be free no? 😉
DeleteDurjoy Dattas blog post confuses me ... If the characters aren't going to grow what is the point of this story?
ReplyDeleteExactly I actually emailed him that question. Now I don't even know why they showed us the leap.
DeleteThe story is still the same mummy's is not approving boy loves girl, girl is confused and still trying to please the boys mom and they will show boys mom getting impressed by the girl and asking the boy to bring back my bahu.
So what's new?
What's the point of this story ? Hmm let's see ...Hot guy , hot girl and lotsa tashan and lots of maa Ki mamtaa. If we are able to use our imagination, read between the lines and percieve it as a mature and realistic love story of two imperfect people , then good for us.
DeleteAdd rain to the list.
DeleteI am getting a wild thought here. Khatri ke ghar mein gun hai matlab kisi ko toh goli lagegi. If Sonakshi keeps up her super babu attitude then she will take the bullet . Ishwari will then fall at her feet and beg forgiveness for misunderstanding her.
DeleteGod ! I miss the emojis !!
Yup the gun to the head emoji and the puking emoji
DeleteHahahah! Yes..that's the one !
DeleteSo Durjoy admits that the story was extended so producers can make money and mamta endorses his blog post ... I guess the actors have given up hence pursuing other interests ... Viewers including myself are the idiots I guess.. Thanks durjoy I partly funded your babymoon, they should have made this a finite story ... Also if Dev and Sona don't change why would ishwari change to accept Sona?
DeleteThere is no point to the story. When was there ever any point of anything? I am yet to understand what was the point of the leap even if there was no redemption or repentance?
DeleteThe extent up to which the producers go to justify sonas dress. Please did Dev just call her dress stylish. Dude nobody calls uniform stylish. Just because it changes colour it's not stylish.
ReplyDeleteAnd getting dev married again was Vickys brilliant plan! Useless fellow.
And I again want to point out that there is gun on kathris house wall. How ? Why? Does the gun have a role to play. Will sona come in front of a slow motion moving bullet? And will she fly through the air and land in Devs arm with blood splattered on a stunned ishwaris face? With Devs dialogue asking her in the past where you upset that she dint give up her life for you and ohoo oh hoooo oh hooooo playing in the background?
Good lord !! Your imagination is vivid and will most likely come true !! Blood sacrifice is the way to Bhaiyya's heat aur uske dil ka raasta toh Maiyya ke dil ke raaste se ho kar hi guzarte hai.
DeleteIf this actually happens then I will actually send a full page of slow clap emoji in India forums page.
DeleteThis will probably happen. Useless ideas kab kaam kar jaaye never know.
DeleteI noticed the comment too...first they used to say Dev is handsome, hot etc etc.
Now,this...only color changed, what style? She wears the same clothes with diff colors always...just like rang badalti school uniform..LOL
Even her night dress are just colour change! When you show people as rich as in super rich the producers need to invest in something as basic as clothing!
DeleteLol... Sound of music mein window curtain se Maria ne better dress banaya tha. And that was '60s brocade curtain.
DeleteSome very simple questions:
Deletea) Dev baal kan kaatega... please can't the guy at least SHAVE?
B) SONA KI UNIFORM ---- lab badlenge?
c) Elena ki tight tight clothing --- ugggghhh!!!
d0 Even Sohas dresses are down right weird sometimes!
Valid questions Divas Gyan (Lol... What a cool name). Why not send a twitter to the maker and ask her the questions? Aur kuch to change hoga nehin, kam se kam looks hi fix karwalo. 😂
DeleteDurjoyji has managed to kanphoose the already kanphoosed fans and yet some on IF are smug, saying"told you so" Sona and dev are incorrigible and unapologetic. Should I even read this? then I remember, hey I read ths coz Tia writes it.... not coz Durjoy writes it.. lol.. So leap or no leap, repurcussions or not, the characters remain stagnant. he threw a googly and he says after a certain age people don't grow. I disagree. Have seen sooo many people changing and improving with age. Durjoy kaun se khet ki mooli ki baat kar raha tha bey...
ReplyDeleteIt was a bit disappointing to read his blog. He is writer of books for god sake he should of all people know that individuals change even those without any major upheavals in their life change with the passing of time. Here both sona and dev especially dev has seen so much in the case of dev from childhood and in case of sona ever since she met dev. They had two break ups and one kid and one still mental mummy in between them but no change! Arey whah ! What kind of people are these ?
DeleteThere are all kinds of people in this world . And at least some of them or let's say most of them may not learn from their life experiences and hence do not grow in their lives and will probablly die with regrets. That's what happens in the real world . They don't get HEAs handed to them on a platter. So if you want to show real and imperfect characters please also show the real consequences of their actions . One can't remain unchanged and turn their life around for the better. What Mr. Dutta is showing us is the story of few imperfect characters who messed up their loves really badly but instead of reflecting on their actions and redeeming themselves , after 7 years they realized that they are one of those stubborn individuals who will remain unchanged for life , so might as well live together and make merry. After , all birds of the same feather always flock together.
DeleteYes that's true too these two deserve each other. A different angle to look at it. Thank you for that I didn't think of it like that. Two individuals so stubborn that they refuse to see reason after going through so much really deserves to be with each other. At least that way people like jatin baiya will be spared.
DeleteIsshhh....story going in circles and I feel like I'm an astrologer..LOL. Already what I was going to see n the epi today. PD(Pappu Dixit) as usual sorry, Sonakshi as usual saying I too respect ur mom(well,,yeah I know I know)..and then asking a very valid qs as to why PD cant trust her when it comes to his family? I know why sweetie...bcoz he himself had insulted your family left, right and center and then he thinks you are just like old Dev Dixit, so conclusion is this...he doesnot trust you with his family name blah blah. I hope you find out the answer and start loving your family's respect as well...if not as madly as Dev , atleast kuch toh sahi.
ReplyDeleteWell, my fav character is back with a bang ..Bijoy Bose. Welcome back. How I missed you!!
Loved Dev-Sona's banter. Sona was sarcastically speaking and her dialogues were bang on.
Hulk*rofling*...so now we have another name...The Hulk Dev Dixit.
I hope VIcky's plans work, Dev decides to marry, Sona does some deewangi and we get to enjoy some hilarious scenes...arre story nahi comedy hi sahi..entertainment toh milna banta hai na boss...itne dino tak jhela jo hai ye sochke ki kabhi toh DevD sudhrega...par nahi...toh yehi sahi.
I know, right. I am hoping Vicky's plan work as well. Except I want Sonakshi to completely lose it so that Bijoy Bose can write her off to Dixit asylum and live with Ronita as substitute daughter with better attitude.
DeleteBecause if anyone keeps repeating the same mistake, they gotta just deal with that shit themselves.
I never thot Ishwari is still capable of irritating me till I saw her scene with Mamaji. She is happy bcoz Suhana is in Dev's life. But sad to have Sonakshi back? Isnt it bcoz of Sonakshi that Soha is with Dev.
ReplyDeleteI felt like banging my head to hers, so that some buddhhi transfer miraculously and she spares a thought about mother-child bond...come on, who else can think if not 'only a mother'
I dont know how longer I can tolerate Sona respecting this idiotic lady....*sigh*
Me: Arre bachhe se itna kaam kyun karwate ho? Abhi tak aap ko behena yeh samajh nehin aaya ki Bhaiya ke paas sirf shakal hain? Kam se kam apni akal to dhoond lo.
DeleteToo good Tia.
Ishwari and her expression after coming back from theerth yatra is getting more and more painful to watch. She has this wired expression on her face. I mean supriyaji is brilliant actress but this despo expression in almost all the frame is getting to be irritating.
DeleteYep. Jo haal dil ka udhar ho raha hain, woh haal dil ka idhar ho raha hain. Bewakufi dekh dekh ke dimaag ka dahi jam raha hain...
DeleteAjab sa asar (hum par) ho raha hain!
DeleteThe new cartoons channel advert was shown with ishwari. I mean are sony people mad or what? Horror channel or psycho channel is the only thing a character like that of ishwari can promote!
ReplyDeleteWarna paise kahan se aayenge, Kavi darling? Bechare chindi chor ke paas Dev aur Sona ko kapde pehna ne ke paisa nehin hain. Yahan se hi to paisa aata hain. Aaj tak life mein kisi serial mein itna promotion nehin dekha jitna iss serial mein dikhta hain.
DeleteFund Raising for SONA di Wardrobe!
DeleteMere ghar mein kuch purane curtains hain with floral pattern, I can donate for the good cause. Kam se kam brocade ki baarat se to bachenge. 😂
DeleteYayyy. I'm finally back. Missed you guys a lot and kinda disappointed to not find the original on the forum only to find out about the hullabaloo that was caused while I was away.
ReplyDeleteMore power to you Tia for sticking up to what is right. We're all with you! :-)
Coming to the episode, was the cartoon ad a promotion for their own show?? It seems I missed a lot in these days. They came on taking terms but the 8 year old childish boy still lives. Phod kyon nahi diya sir. Meherbani hoti.
Okay about the spoiler, I can already see a season 2 coming!
Hey Bucky. Welcome. Yes, I didn't want to put up with mod's biases. So I left. I just used to go there to talk to you guys and write my thoughts. Which I am still continuing now. They got their "positive" monochromatic forum back and I got my freedom. It's win-win all around.
DeleteSeason 2? You mean season 3. Kyunki kutte ki dum abhi bhi sidhi nehin hui aur as per writer, kabhi sidhi nehin hogi.
Oops I meant season 3! Waise yeh naya season lagta hi kaha hain! Sara repeat mode pe hi toh hain.
DeleteP.S. How do I add emoticons here?
If you are typing from android cell phone or tablet, you can use the emoticons from your keyboard. Until then, you can use websites which has code for forum emoticons. Until then, I am working on adding emoticons here. :)
Deletethanks tia for the wonderful update .not in a mood to watch the episode everything is going in circles nothing new but i am highly disappointed with sona when will she stop this mummy jaap as if dev was not enough to do it
ReplyDeleteSona has figured out that since she can't seem to stay away from Bhaiya and Bhaiya can't stay away from Maiya, so she has to get stuck on Maiya. Or she will be forever stuck in lonely naiya... 😂
Deletefiller hai - watch the 4 minutes if you really need to! Else I'd pass on today...
Deletei dont know why but everyone is expecting that dev will never accept the marriage proposal suggested by his own god mother
ReplyDeletei think he will be shocked first but then he will start singing
TU KITNI ACHI HAI
TU KITNI BHOLI HAI PYARI PYARI HAI
OOOOO MAAAA OOOO MAAAAA
that is what i expect from him after all his mummy jan has done soooo many sacrifices for his bacha ......
Yep, why not? If all else fails, there is always sleeping pill supply to pretend to die.
DeleteHeres what I did : Just saw the 3-4 minutes of Dev and Sons, Jatin Jasoos in Action -- and passed on Sou-Ro and MA-MA-MA (mama, Mami and mata).
ReplyDeleteSo - seems to me like a filler as Erica took a few days off? What struck me (from these v limited scenes):
a) Dev is cute --- yeah jackass, but cute. Jatin now -- looks just hot :) with that clean shaven look.
b) Sona Sona Sona ---- I guess she's still gonna play martyr.
c) BB back :) will watch him :) tomorrow. Go get them back Mr. Bose
d) I think the PRECAP ---- i) He knows she doesn't want help; ii) he thinks omg - the lady is in danger or follows her or something and gets caught
I see there was a remarriage track for Dev - I think that will come AFTER. First, RR has to convince MAMMA who then has to put a guilt trip on DD.
And AM I THE ONLY one who find Sou-Ro a little tooo --- blah?
Agree, agree, agree. Bhaiya ka aaj kal cuteness ka hi sahara.
DeleteYep, first Radha has to convince Ishwari to let any woman enter Dev's life. Then Ishwari has to threat/bribe/blackmail Dev. Tab jaake aayega Bhaiya Mummy ki ungliyon ke neeche.
Saurabh and Ronita used to be adorable. Lekin roz roz ki nautanki aur hazam nehin ho rahee hain.
WISHFUL thinking:
ReplyDeletea) Soha overhears remarriage plans and is shocked. She can't talk to her mom and hurt her and asks for Jatin .... JJ to the rescue of SO & SO!! Yay !!!!
b) DD gets to know and is shocked ... he decides No way Jose and actually stands up for her ? (Too much to ask)
c) Dev grateful to Jassos Jatin for help... JJ takes DD on some friendly "chat" or something ---> and tells him to either take care of SO SO or he will be there to protect them. And warns him of Vicky's attitude and threats to Sona.
d) Khatri will now seek revenge --- targeting Sona ---- and DD and JJ team up and they reach SONA and she leans on JJ..... and DD is stunned. Or JJ understands Sona well enough to find clues she left or something.....
Mr Durjoy Das --- characters can grow -- and guess what so may your TRPs then!
Add my vote in your wish list. And the last line, is the killer line. Absolutely on point. TRP per pe nehin ugta. 😂
DeleteI don't know why I feel that despite them saying they show things realistically, I still feel things are contrived! I mean the same character behaves in two different ways even if faced to the same situation, which leads me to think that Cvs do it for drama or for some purpose and not in a natural logical way, I really smell the usual glorification of female leads the ever lasting forgiving intelligent women and dumbifacation of male leads glossing it all after that saying they are good at heart but they do mistakes!! This is the same Dev who trapped Rhea's fiancé using his power and intelligence, this is the same Dev who used Private detectives whenever he wanted to know something but surprisingly whenver they need to show Sona into action, Dev becomes impulsive, reckless ya dumb. Didn't the same thing happen when he didn't use a Private investigator to know about Rhea's fiancé when Sona first saw him in a coffee shop, then this didn't happen because Cvs wanted Sona to solve all the matter! We know logically Dev can't take risk with his family and sisters so normally just to check a second time on the guy's background he would have done it, but no Cvs seem to manipualte things as per their convenience, believe me if it was naturally done I would have accepted it but if done to follow the same pattern of Tellywood which is female dominated then don't expect much growth, Sona will solve all the problems and be the perfect women and Dev will be dumbed further and Sona showing him the path always!! The original characterization of Dev at least in the first 100 episodes wasn't like this, he used to do mistakes but he used to fix them too!!!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? I had to react to what was shown on screen but dear lord, if you could see how many times I facepalmed myself while writing this. Who the heck is this moron who behaves like a brat with zero sense? In fact it seems that after leap, Bhaiya's brain cells have collectively committed suicide jumping into the alcohol stream he kept pouring in his body.
DeleteSince there has been zero growth in character, I had to assume that turning into Dumb and Dumber was the purpose of the leap. Because no one can be that much of a brain dead. 😝
Seems the majority of heros in tellywood become dumb and weak after they fall in love lool, I mean kuch bhi kahu the guy was quite decent in the first episodes, he was charismatic, assertive with that serious aura about him, he seemed to know what he wanted and do what is required to get it, yes he used to be cute then also (Shaheer oozes cuteness lol) he used to make mistakes too but he seemed to have his brains in the right place!
Delete"Ishq ne Ghalib (Dev) nikamma kar diya Warna hum bhi aadmi thy kaam kay!!"
JN - love the quote!
DeleteI know, right? If you watch first 100 episode, it seems we have started watching a different show with the same actors. There is zero similarity with the actual characters as shown in first 100 episodes. Remember Sonakshi's straight forward answer and now look at her. Remember Dev Dixit having his finger on every pulse? Now he doesn't know how to find one guy and take care of him in his own way. Only Ishwari and her ho ho are the same.
DeleteRemember how they used to agree to disagree, there was a ceratin maturity to how they dealt with things, they used to put their love above any difference of opinion, the day he didn't want to argue with her and just kissed her forehead and left from the coffee shop then when they met again they said sorry to each other, Dev explained how he can"t put himself in Ranveer's place (when Dev wanted to gift a flat to Neha), and she said that she can't even imagine how he must have felt, he said Sonakshi you might be right and that whatever you say is right but he doesn't feel it's right, she said she can"t accept he is right she thought about it a lot but it doesn't seem right to her, Dev asked her then what will you do she said what can we do followed with her smile and an "I love you" he smiled as well saying 'I love you too" She then said that it's ok , understanding each other and disagree karna yahi to pyar hota hai!!!
DeleteWhat maturity yaar was in that scene (18th july 2016)!!! where they understand and accept each other without judging each other!
I loved their mature way of dealing with their relationship then even when they disagree no unecessary fighting, no childsish behavior!!
Ah you reminded me of one of my all time favourite scenes where Dev and Sona showed such maturity as two people having difference of opinion. Makes me wanna cry when I see know-it-all Sona and know-nothing-at-all Dev. 😭
DeleteJN and Tia you have stolen the words right out of my mouth. What the hell does it even mean that people don't change after a certain age? People change all the time..that is the essence of human nature! I feel that this whole speil of KRPKAB being different and hatke from the rest of the telly brigade is extremely contrived because nothing that they are showing presently (and even in the past) is that different or unique. Also if there is to be no character growth then what is the point of the story? If Dev is to be shown as a Mother's chamcha at the beginning of the series and same at the end then what is the point of investing in a show and I am speaking for both the audience and the investors. The show then should have been called Ek rang pyar ke aise bhi...laal khoon ka rang 😑😑 Anyway at this point in time the makers have only one thing working for them and that is the chemistry of the lead pair. Aside from that there isn't really anything very unique about the show and that is unfortunately the incorrigible and unapologetic truth!
DeleteWohi tho. Agar koi character growth hona hi nehin hain, to hum log inke daily nautanki dekh hi kyun rahe hain? Wohi same situation to on repeat aa raha hain.
Deletefandw- Nice to be back here with your humorous take on the episode. Even though I watch the episode until and unless I come and read your analysis on the episode I can't digest what I see. Even though there is no take home message, after the tweet from one of the writers I changed the way I look at the episode - we should not expect anything to change for good but can learn from the show how not to be when you are in love or in marriage. I hope Bujoy does not become hyper in tomorrow's episode. He should have got some enlightenment by being away (in kolkata, intellectual city) from the mad people around him in his home. What's the point in him fighting for his daughter's happiness if she herself doesn't want it or rather happy being unhappy. My dear writers, at least spare Bujoy.
ReplyDeleteAwww... thank you. Oh Bijoy is going to be guaranteed hyper. Until CVs bring every character down to Ishwari and Dev's level, how will they show them amazing people? So you can be assured that Bijoy is going to be hyper. But the question is where. I doubt he will go to Dixit house. But he will definitely be upset which is perfectly understandable.
Deleteyay!!!! Bijoy - go get 'em!!! Im done with DEV-il-ISH mansion....
ReplyDeleteGhanta. Mahaan Atma Sonakshi hain naa. Who cares if Bijoy misses Soha and plans his trip around her absence, Ishwari should not be deprived of Soha because she is Dev's Mummy Goddess. Sonakshi has zero loyalty to her family and that's why Dev thinks he can insult her family and get away with it. Koi khud apni family ki izzat naa kare, to aur koi kyun karega?
DeleteOh and IS ERICA BACK? Todays was obviously filler --- so overdose of everyone in the parivaar!
ReplyDeleteI don't know. But if I have to guess from precap, Sonakshi is going to look for the family. That's when they will probably show the absence episode.
Deletefandw - @kavitha asha, @SummerRain7 and @gaurimisha - you guys are on roll today. I couldn't stop laughing. Loved your take on everything this show has to offer. Keep rocking.
ReplyDelete👌
DeleteNice to be able to read your humourous take on episodes
ReplyDelete-- tellyjo
Thank you, Tellyjo. 😀
Deletemissed the episode. Anyhoo.. I loved your write up as always. And Amarendra Bahubali😍😍😍😍
ReplyDeleteThanks Ananya. 😀 Amarendra Bahubali is my new favourite male fictional character and Devsena? Oof ooi Maa. Outstanding female lead. I could not look away from her. She was just that awesome. 😍
DeleteNice write-up there. For one, I dont expect Indian TV to come up with characters like Amarendra Bahubali cos they need mindless drama and they need to drag the show for years. A strong and consistent character cannot sustain a daily soap for years is what I have learnt over a period of time :D And instead of strengthening the characters or showing growth, most characters regress and become worse. Dev has gone from an impulsive yet mature adult to a whiney and clueless baby and Sona has gone from strong yet sensitive to some weird mix of Ishita and Gopi vau. And its been ages since poor Ishwari regressed from an insecure yet essentially a nice human to a sordid mess of a vamp who makes no sense most of the time. And then Durjoy has the gall to define this as path-breaking.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Why is Dev not involved in something which essentially only concerns him? Dafuq is up with this screwed up mahanta? And lol @ Dev behaving like a 5 year old who cheats to make someone win a silly game. Will this show ever make sense again?
P.S.S. Astrix here
Aaarrrgh... But why do they have to regress? Why make audience fall in love with a certain character and then ruin it? And I agree. Since when Dev had ever let someone else handle all his work while he goes around like unemployed Gali ka mawali? Specially since this is about his Mummy? And who the eff cheats at Ludo?
DeleteJust watched a couple of initial episodes of krpkab and couldn't believe it's the same. The characters did make us fall in love with them... Sona looked so fresh and Dev ..so refined.. made mistakes but was strong and took corrective actions. Used his power to get things done his way. Now he has become a helpless child depending on Sonakshi to resve his problem. Yeh kya ho rahaa hai
DeleteEven Ishwari looked the adorable lady who doesn't listen to anyone but doesn't harm anyone either
--tellyjo
I still watch the initial episodes on youtube and imagine that after first break up, Dev and Sona went separate ways where Dev is forever in Mummy's service and Sona is happy in her own family with a supportive husband and kids.
Delete@fandw : Thanks
ReplyDelete@Ananya : Watch it for the hot jasoos Jatin...who never fails[:D]
@Tia: Bijoy Bose is actually similar to Bhishma as you said. Sadly Dev babu carries his name, only name...Devrath. Classic example of how names are misused ...LOL
I'm curious for tonight episode as to why Sonakshi is leaving Dixit hellhole...Ishwari or Bijoy? For whom or why? Or is she only leaving the guest room?
I still am not able to digest that Soha-Sona sleep in guest room and Dev is alone in his room...was this the same man who fought to stay back in Sona's room in Bose house.
@astrix:
ReplyDeleteNo. The show will never make any sense. Duttaji claims the characters wont change their nature, which means the show wont change its nature as well. If till now it did not make sense, its actually foolish to even expect it will make sense in any near future...unless ofcourse they decide to end it...LOL
Haha true. I think by now everyone including the actors and viewers have accepted the fact that nothing will ever change with this show.
DeleteRegarding the precap, I just read a spoiler that Ishwari asks Sona to leave after Bijoy demands her to come back home and she tells him she intends to stay back. So Dev makes an excuse of ill-health and asks her to stay. Which makes no sense tbh but nothing makes sense on this show anyway.
Eh spoilers. Sounds true. But why is so much beating bush require at all. If Sona wants to stay as long as possible in IN, pls marry Dev Pappu Dixit once again and asset your rights. Its just so simple. Why all this is seriously beyond me.
Deleteseedhi baat se nahi banti toh ungli tedhi karni padti hai...ab seedhi baat se jo ban jaaye uske liye bhi ungli tedhi karo...tht is something new I learnt in krpkab.
That will happen in the last episode. Or till the time they decide to continue this track. For one, it makes no bloody sense why Dev-Sona make every single decision in their lives based on Ishwari's opinion. You have decided to stay, you have even opposed your parents for it. Then stay na. Why the hell should everything revolve around Ishwari? This show is on such a pathetic loop. Just resolve the issues and end the damn show man. Atleast the actors can move on to better things.
DeleteGauri that was exactly my point. Why pretend? Just admit that you want to be Tulsi of Ishwari mansion again and get it over with. Why play with the emotions of your family who supported you through thick and thin?
DeleteHey Tia,
ReplyDeleteSoumya here
Finally got some time to read your blog...so amazing it is!! no Rules YAY!!!
And Baahubali 2 - Amarendra Baahubali is THE guy!!! What a grace, charm, calm, composed, royal, fierce...cant stop the adjectives....and Devasena is absolute match for him...loved the chemistry!!! I am total fida over him...
and coming to our own KRPKAB....Dev doent even match to ABs 0.0001%...All thru the movie, I was wondering when could Dev get atleast 0.01% of ABs courage and standup for what the truth is!
Guess there is no hope at all...
I havent been watching/ reading WUs...just your posts...though I love your posts...i am hating whats being showed...
Every character seems to have lost their marbles...
Soumya, I just watched BB2 and I am still in awe of the magnificence of AB. And Devsena is another level of woman who can speak her mind unapologetically and is not scared to stand up even against the king and queen mother and speak the truth. What an amazing sets of characters. I heard they are making Bahubali TV show. Can't wait to see what they do with the characters. But I also worry that based on typical TV pattern, they will ruin these two iconic characters too. 🤔
DeleteOh no!! I dont want anyone to spoil the experience of BB...TV is known to ruin characters
DeleteSoumya, a person would stand for truth only If he truly realises and accepts what truth is. Dev has never accepted the truth, he still thinks his mom spoiling the life of a young girl by stealing from her wedding, is the right thing. his mother is the victim not the girl or her family. then how can we even think he would be anywhere close to standing up for truth. for Dev, Sona's worth is how much she can do for his family, especially his mommy. His love and respect is tied to only that. He never loved Sona or respected her for what she herself is. Same holds true for Sona, she respected and loved Dev for how good he was or is (as in now) to his family. Dev and Sona alone have no feelings, may be just infatuation/attraction for each other, nothing more.
DeleteWhy compare Dev with Bahubali? One is a child and the other is an honorable man! :D
ReplyDeleteAnyways, your post is awesome! I loved the "trusted channel of eavesdropping Dixit style" method! So Jatin is doing all the heroic work and Dev banging his head against the pillar, mimicking Sona and as per spoiler cheating in Ludo! Need I say anymore why Sona relied on Jatin for the important work than the self styled superman/batman!
Well, if Durjoy ji does not want to change the flaws nor learn from mistakes as you rightly said we will get the same result. In that case, why doesn't he pair up Sona with Jatin and a hot bimbo girl for Dev who will satisfy Dev in night and do aarati of Ishwari in the day! Both sides of fandom happy!
So happy to see Bijoy. And you rightly said he is the Bhisma Pitamah always thinking of his family and their welfare without any return.
your statement " hot bimbo girl for Dev who will satisfy Dev in night and do aarati of Ishwari in the day! Both sides of fandom happy! " - just hilarious can't stop laughing. I am happy to watch the nonsense they are showing now on the show for the sake of this awesome, funny, hilarious, sarcastically hilarious posts. Great job one and all.
DeleteWohi tho, Jas. Which superhero sits at home while someone else gets the job done what should be done by him? Sona kuch jyada hi nehin chada rahee hain Bhaiya ko aaj kal? And I agree, if there to be no changes or improvements in character, why not pair them up with who they are compatible with? Because as of now, they are not at all compatible.
DeleteThanks astrix(hope I'm right!) and Tia. I sorely miss the like button. So many great posts. This is the only charm left of KRPKAB!
DeleteI know, Jas. I miss the like button too. But so far, I have managed to learn how to incorporate reaction buttons in the main post. I am still trying to figure out how to incorporate them in the comments. If any of you know programming, I will appreciate any help I can get. Lol...
DeleteOkay People.. ATTENTION HERE!!
ReplyDeleteI wanna know what you all feel the leap should have been. I mean, how Dev and Sonakshi would have changed.. in such a way that they become right for each other.
I was thinking along the lines that Dev should have introspected and changed himself.. I was thinking this because the shipper inside me wanted a good DevAkshi story
But even though I have thought of all possibilities.. Even after redemption and everything, I still can't make Dev worthy of Sonakshi. Like, the most he can be is remorseful and changed man but Sonakshi would still be superior because she would be the one forgiving him... teaching him to be happy again. But, there should be something that Sona lacks and Dev induces in her. Any flaw, that he helps her in realising and defeating. Or maybe he could be able to protect her, give her strength, or anything. But he can't. Whatever I have seen of them, I didn't realise it that until now, that Sona has been the everything in this relationship. Dev is not capable of giving her anything she lacks. They both don't fit like the pieces of a same puzzle. In this relationship, One is DOMINATING (Dev) but in reality the SUPERIOR one is Sona. They both are not equal.. Looks like Tia was right all this time.. They aren't compatible.
Dev is a weak man. Sonakshi is a strong woman (Not on the show, but after leap, initially her character was supposed to be that) and like JShukla had once posted 'A weak man can never be enough for a strong woman
. he would never know what to do with her.'
I am frustrated at this butchering to the point that I am wondering what did Sona actually see in Dev that she fell for him. She liked him because he was self made and was the best person for his loved ones. He could do anything for them.
But the point is the same-- Not only now, or at the time of break-up or after that, or during the marriage.... during the entire show.. when was Dev EVER the right guy for Sona? when was he ever equal to her ?
DeleteIf My old self sees this comment, it would have made a disgusted face and then torn me to pieces a thousand times in her head... That's how much I abhorred anyone hating DevAkshi.. But now.....
You know with SoTin the thing is.. Jatin gives her assurance, strength.. he is there for her. Sona gives him happiness, support, the missing friendship he never had, takes away his misery filled world. (Not in the show.. But if we look at the characters, we can paint this beautiful story)
They just fit. They together are complete. You can't say that one is a better partner. The relation they have is equal and mutual. No one is SUPERIOR.
Man, I feel so sad to say this, but DevAkshi were never this.
I always thought that DevAkshi can find home in each other.. But it was always one way, I never realised.
DeleteI can still say this for SoTin though, but it would stay wishful thinking
Dev was never right for Sona. As Saheli quoted in one of her articles, Bijoy needs to accept that his daughter fell in love with a weaker person, emotionally and mentally. She saw him tackling his dysfunctional family, caring nature and self-made business man...she herself was caring, had good family values and was self-made and hence she identified with him, wanted him to share his problems ...somewhere the superior Sona wanted to nurture him and give him the happiness which he lacked in his life. She had never wanted the nurture from his side...only his support or his faith in her...the basic minimum which he could not give , thanks to his emotional abuse by maiya and his own egoist nature.
DeleteIshwari always made Dev believe he was superior. May be he was among his siblings but not infront of Sona. Ishwari believes otherwise which is not the truth. Dev too used to believe the same and hence, the ego too came into the picture at some point...particularly regarding the financial status of the both. Money never makes anyone superior , Dev,Ish and Dixits did not realize it. Only after Sonakshi is herself a rich businesswoman now, that this issue from S1 is not there. Now, the actual issue of superiority is making Ishwari , RR and Vicky panicky. Where as for Dev, the issue is non-existent. He knows Sona is superior, realizes and accepts it.
Factually speaking, Dev was never right for Sona but emotionally since Sonakshi chose him, he is the one for him and vice versa. Its not only Dev, even Sonakshi will never stop loving him, though she knows better not to get back to him in a jiffy.
Well, why don't you write whatever you want to write here? There's no restriction. Just send me your email address by pm and I will give you author's access.
DeleteAnanya, I think in season1, the main attribute which attracted Sona was Dev's caring side. It was highlighted in the accident track. She had a fairy tale romance in her head where a handsome prince will come and sweep off her feet. She was a normal middle class girl so basically fantasized. From outside Dev fitted the bill. He was handsome, rich, self made man and caring too! Aur kya chahiye! :D She was already aware of his anger issues but I guess she had seen Bijoy's anger too, so I guess she was OK with it. First breakup exposed Dev's weakness and dependency on his mother/Goddess. She concentrated on Ritwik but Dev did not let her. Being kind and also in love Sona could not take the logical decision and married Dev. Despite their personality differences, they could have worked on their marriage if they were living away from the in-laws.
DeleteAfter the leap, if they had shown Dev becoming mature, having understood what games RR, Vicky and Ishwari had played to separate them and had distanced himself from them. When he came to know Sona had given birth to his child, Soha, he should have been so happy and also hopeful that Sona would forgive him and may still love him. He would try to be the Prince Charming Sona had wanted and the Knight in shining armour for his wife and daughter.
Even a strong girl needs pampering and being looked after. But in the story the ML cries out and gets all the pampering! And one more thing, I don't agree with Durjoy's reasoning that people don't change! I as viewer when the serial started was a staunch supporter of Dev and Sonakshi. I did not even want the leap and wanted to work out their differences. But now with this cry baby, my fascination with Dev has waned and if they give more footage to Jatin, I will be definitely root for Sona Jatin. So people do change! :P
DeleteOk, so I didn't mean to write random shit which totally makes no sense about DevAkshi ki incompatibility.
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, let's get back to the topic.. I was asking for some ideas on how you would have liked Dev and Sona to change post leap so that somehow they FIT.
Just tell me your version of the leap. The shipper in me wanted to write an FF on them but like I wrote above.. no idea seemed to impress me enough to like DevAkshi again.
Ananya, if you want to write an FF or any story, pm me your email address. I will give you author's access. Then you can write and edit your own post within the blog and yes. You can write whatever SoTin story you wanted to write.
DeleteWhoever watched BB2.. would end up thinking of KRP... what we wanted out of it is shown in BB2. Comparison auto mode me ho jaata hai. Similar storyline... different treatment. Wonder if the writers watched it especially DD ..
ReplyDelete-- tellyjo
I hope they do watch Bahubali. I hope the entire television fraternity watch the movie. This is an eye opener for any regressive characters on screen as how real men and women should be like. I have massive crush on Amarendra Bahubali and Devsena. Those two are incredible. Only a tigress can be the true life partner of a tiger.

ReplyDeleteI am not saying I am not able to write an FF neither am I facing any problem in forum. I really want to write a DevAkshi FF but can't get ideas.
The first time it was different. But post leap, noting the character given to Sona, it is hard for her to give in back to DevD. (Realistically speaking, only)
The most that can happen is they find a new beginning but not end up together because in reality they would never be happy together. But, I want to write something on them... Gah!!
Tia, I don't have a problem in posting. I just need Ideas. Can you suggest?
To explain my point more, something like NehVeer comes to me easily. I can ship them and write about them because I connect to both of them somewhere and I just know that they both, if together, can help each other improve a lot. They both are equally 'flawed' and their flaws are antagonistic to each other, thus creating potential. Neha isn't a doormat and Ranveer is not Weak. That's why it is easy to write about them.
DeleteWith Jatin-Sona, it is kinda okay.
But DevAkshi, they are very hard to analyse and write about. I don't know how they can end up together after all this!
Hummm... Suvika already wrote about Dev's realization about where he went wrong. But considering the current character of Dev, I can't think of any suggestion for Dev and Sona. For Sona and Jatin I have plenty of suggestions though.
DeleteHave you seen the movie paa. There is scene in that movie where in arundathi naag the actress who plays Vidyas mother explains how when a woman single handedly brings up a child her heart becomes that of a stone due to strength it learns to adapt for her child. And how that single mother learns to love her child and only her child to the exclusion of other. And how difficult she finds it to forgive herself and her offender. In the movie abishek the father goes a long way to get forgiveness at the risk of loosing his image as a politician and a desperate he asks why he is not forgiven. I wish we had a scene playing out like that where in Asha had such a conversation with dev then maybe some of us would have found it easier to ship dev and sona again.
DeleteThe thing I am trying to tell is when the lead characters get back together after a break up especially a bitter break up like dev and sona had and a kid is involved the story and character has to progress. It can't regress and the author can't hide behind excuses like they are like that because they are like that from the beginning.
DeleteI agree with you Kavi. When a lead pair comes together only for their kid, you wonder when the kid will grow up and get married/move on with their life, what is left for that lead pair to hold them together? Dev and Sona's love story is like the broken car that needs outside push and reason to go even a km. One can't make a life on such a broken concept. Why do they always need someone else to tell them what they feel or what they should do? They don't have enough sense to know what they mean for each other? They need to find their reasons minus any outside influences.
DeleteAnd don't even get me started on Asha. I loved her before. But her regressive ideas of what a woman should do vs. what a man should not have to do plus her lack of loyalty towards her own family have now put me off her.
Like one of my friends said, there is nothing a pen can't change, all it takes is writers taking time to think of a logical way to bring in a change in characters without spoiling the original characteristics we loved about them.
ReplyDeleteFor me it will always be DevaKshi, I started watching the show as DevaKshi's journey and I expect it to be that only. Call me a hopless romantic but I hate when they change pairs be it hero or heroine and I I know they won't.
When do we chose whom to fall in love with? isn't it always that love hoja tha hai? When was there a rule that only perfect understanding people can be loved or should be loved? Ritwick was a great guy too even Jatin is a good guy but the bottom line is that it's DevaKshi's story not others. We can never know what Jatin or Ritwick would have been like had they grown up in the same environment as Dev maybe they could have been better or maybe worse we can never know! So maybe comparison is not relevant here.
I know we all want a beautiful love story, we admit it or not, every girl likes heroism even when at times it gets OTT or is done in an unbelievable way. Reality is something else, there are heros in real life too, but there are other people too with a lot of emotional baggage, who can't change easily, it's easy to say to someone you should have done this or that, be like this or that when we are not in their shoes. To each their own way of coping up with things, it depends on many things: life experiences, family, bringing up, psychological factors.. there is no right or wrong everything is relative nothing is absolute.
I don't defend Dev here, I might have even been way less patient than Sona with him lol actually I would have behaved in a different way actually and made his love work in my favor not against me 😁but I'm not Sona and story isn't mine and that's the bottom line we should not expect characters to behave the way we want or the way we would have. But yes I agree on one thing there should be a progress and a change to make the show entertaining and even in real life change is possible, it takes time and efforts but it is possible.
Please post this on durjoys blog page or just mail it to him. You have written it out so well.
DeleteI don't like lead pairing changed either. But without any character growth, I honestly can't see what is left to be appreciated in each other. When they are apart, the characteristics they admire in each other, they hate the exact same characteristics when they are together. It's a catch 22 situation. They can't stay away and they can't live together. In fact, I won't even mind if they decide to live together for the rest of their life. Because it seems the moment they get married, they start to take each other for granted.
DeleteI met a lady once through my work. She said that she had been in live in relationship for over 20 years. So I asked had she ever thought to get married since as per the Canadian law, they are common-law partners anyway. She said that actually it would have been their 25th year. But they met and got married too soon and within a few months, they got divorced. Then they went their separate ways. She dated other men, he dated other women. Then they met again about 3-4 years later and decided to give it another try but not with a marriage license and their live in relationship has lasted longer than most marriages. They have children together, expecting grandchildren very soon as well. The only difference is that they are not married.
She said that they don't take each other for granted or each other's effort as obligation. So whatever they do for each other is appreciated. But never demanded because they both know that they have no rights on each other.
I think this is the only arrangement that can work with Dev and Sona. (Ananya, that's an idea for their story).
Because everything Sona is doing for Ishwari now, she did it for Riya when she was married to Dev. But at that time, Dev didn't appreciate her effort or thanked her as much as he is now. Because now he doesn't think that she has to do it. But she wants to do it. Also, he knows that she can give up helping him any moment. So even his tone and attitude has become more respectful.
@Kavitha You think it would make a difference if I sent them this. From my experience Cvs will do what they want only no matter how much you point out things, they will obly listen if this echoes with what they think they should show be it story wise ya trp wise.😊
Delete@Tia. I agree that we need character growth because this is the only way story can be entertaining for us while we understand change requires time we need to see some progress even if baby steps, we never asked them to change the core of characters!!
@Tia-- I get you. It's not about realization and redemption. It's about if they can ever be good enough for each other?
ReplyDelete@JN-- Firstly, I don't try to logic with feelings. I think I was not able to forward my point clearly, due to frustration. My point wasn't why Sona fell for him. I would never question that.. not even now. I have no problem and no surprise that she still loves him. I could write essays gushing about how beautiful they used to be back then. But, that was then. When there was still potential. Now, is different.
My point was how will she CHOOSE him still. Dev can still win her heart and rule over it for a lifetime due to his caring, protective nature. But how will he become equal to her, win her trust, win a deserved place right beside her in her life...
I am just pointing out the whole butchering they have done to his character to make him a very very weak character. I am not a DevAkshi hater.. that is why I want to write about them na? But, I am just pointing out that they have and still are ruining the potential.
Secondly, I have never said that Jatin would be better than Dev if he was in his shoes. I agree that we never know how he would have been, and that comparison doesn't have a strong base. Jatin however is better than Dev in many other things and even in a parallel universe with no Dev, I would still say that SoTin have potential.
Thirdly, I completely agree with the last para of your comment and I am glad that you put forth your POV and made me realise I hadn't properly expressed my opinions.
I understand you point Ananya 😊. Dev is weak only by convenience he can be very determined and stubborn when he believes in a cause! Basically it comes to the point that what did Dev do for Sona? Had he done lot of things for her and supported her and defended her all the time people would have loved him! I saw the infertility track as the track where his selfless love could have been shown amply and it started well. The guy couldnt even enjoy his sangeet knowing the truth and he couldnt imagine that this smile on Sona's face can disappear. Alas Cvs ruined when truth came out to bring the leap as no sane man would believe what Dev said in the night of separation not even himself!! The only way I can explain what he said is by his frustration since he knows he messed up big time and can't imagine she will leave him tgis time and not forgive him like everytime!! He was hurt and wanted to hurt her!!!
DeleteAs far as him deserving her, I think there is always a way for people who try hard, he has all the qualities he should just use them in Sona's case the way he did in other cases(mon and sisters) and with Sona mind you it will be more powerful if Cvs decide to let him do it because we know the volcano he has inside it should just erupt in a positive way for Sona!! So potential is there because love is there!
Again, @Tia-- Loved that account you shared. Would definitely think along the lines I shared.
ReplyDelete@JN-- Trust me. I am no absolute. Whatever you have written about real life heroes and vulnerable people echoed with my thoughts regarding Dev a while ago. While, I still agree with these thoughts, I can't apply them on Dev now. Dev has had many chances. Sona was ready to compromise for him, to help him forget his past and move on... he was even making progress. But you know what was the biggest problem. His lack of introspection. His blindness and hypocrisy. His cowardice.
I know you are not defending Dev.. I never had. But I had understood him, to some extent. But he had done some really really unforgivable things during and after the infertility track. He never understood Sonakshi's pain and kept blaming her for leaving him (still can't get his logic)
Everyone has their own way of coping.. They have their own pace. At least by seven years.. But they still do it somehow. Dev never Did. He never fully fought. He never went though the battle till the end. I am not a fan of Ritwick and I don't want Dev to become Jatin. But can he be the Dev Dixit who had fought for his family.. for sona too??
Plus, the least he could have done was not become worse. T__T
DeleteSeems we are saying the same thing just in different words. I surprisingly addressed the same points in my reply to your previous post. Scroll up 😊
DeleteAweome discussion happening here .
ReplyDeleteAnd as much as I enjoyed your review Tia , I don't have much to comment on Dev - Sona's Khatri mission. Sona shouldn't have involved herself in this issue in the first place and now even her family is getting involved. The only thing I am looking forward to is Bijoy's reaction when he gets to know of Mission Khatri . And I hope before he starts shouting at Saurabh apni beti se ek baar baat kar le.
I agree. Sona should have minded her own business this time since she is no longer a part of that family. However, since she desperate to be part of that family and wants to get into Bhaiya's good books, the only way to go there is Mummy worship which is exactly what she is doing. I have no problem with Sonakshi doing whatever eff she wants. But she has no right to involve Jatin in it. Who is Bhaiya to him other than being a general garden variety jerk to him whenever they meet? Why should he be dragged into their eff-ed up life? But like Bhaiya, Sonakshi has also become an user. For God's sake, do with your life as you please but spare Jatin.
DeleteAlso, if the makers think that getting this man child Dev ( who alternates between being a cry baby and a jerk ) to mouth the line "women are always right " will get their female audience to drool over him , then sadly they are RIGHT.
ReplyDeleteYep. This is also the guy who said women screw up everything, they make men's life difficult, the world should be free from women (that doesn't include his mother because as per her own admission, she is not a woman).
Delete@JN-- completely agree with your analysis of Dev. The only difference is it doesn't help at all in making me like him. I did get that if he has his junoon then he is not Weak. But was Sona ever a subject to that?
ReplyDeleteI would have loved him if he had established an equal relationship. When he wanted her to feel him, he had tried feeling her too. If he hadn't seen him as what she was, seen their relationship as it was and not in his terms. If he had treated them as one and equal. I think his chauvinism came into play here.
Your thought about him trying to hurt her remind me of Dev Das.
And the last line.. This is what I have always believed in. If there is love, there is potential. But that's where we disagree.
How can this be love? Love is about giving, trusting, being one. The more I think, the more I feel Dev didn't love her like a Man. The point to be noted, he still is blind as ever. And knowing this, how is their potential?
I ain't sure if I explained well
Yes I get your point Ananya. I kept wondering about the same, he expects her to understand him, feel him while he doesn't do the same. Sometimes I really feel he doesn't get her, doesn't understand her no matter how much she explains (she doesn't do much of explanation either!), he is very short sighted when it comes to understanding emotions, he usually takes things at face value, and even when he understands Sona at times, I feel he gets distracted easily by other problems and goes into his unending guilt trips and YES YES YES I wonder why he doesn't do the same with Sona, she also suffered because of him alot and he says he loves her a lot he can"t live without her then he should show it and prove it!!
DeleteI fail to fully understand him actually!!, at times he seems to really understand things, and other times he seems clueless, other times he just focuses on letting the storm pass leading to him being oblivious (insensitive even) to what Sona feels, and this is what I wanted Sona to make clear, in an assertive way, she has to make him face things without saying things indirectly, then only he will feel ashamed of what he has done, I mean he goes in guilt trips because of things he didn't it would be fair if he does the same for things he did!!!
Anyways as I said I can bear with writers if they have a story to tell and don't just change things conveniently (and they did it many times, we see the same characters behave in two different ways when faced to the same situation, how come it's either you have a certain trait or you don't you can't have them/stop having them according to situations) I mean change things to create drama, glorify a certain character to please Trp audience. Drama is good, characters doing mistakes is good but only if it's justified character wise and story wise not TRP wise ya Tellywood female dominated trend wise!
I am unable to post here. So if this reply gets posted, I will jump with joy.
ReplyDeleteTia, I had understood long back that this show is not at all a romantic show (Dadi bua track) so I changed my expectations and started viewing it as a psychological experiment like I told you. This helped me keeping my expectations low and not getting fired up on seeing things being presented illogically.
So, tia some psychology for you.
If you have time on you, do search for rescuer syndrome and white knight syndrome (terrorizing and overly empatic). It will explain some behaviors shown on the show.
Also surface and deep acting are the techniques used to hide emotions. ENJOY
@BashingHater - That was enlightening . I didn't know there was a term for that behavoiural trait, though I am quite familiar with the behavior itself. I think almost all FLs of Indian daily soaps are afflicted with this syndrome. And almost all shows glorify this behavior , instead of seeing it for what it is .
ReplyDeleteI don't know about any other shows since this is my first and after this, only Indian show. I am glad I was able to help you out. I guess it is normal behavior for the writers of drama industry but in psychology, it is not.
DeleteThis is a testimony that I will tell everyone in the world. i have been married for 4 years and on the fifth year of my marriage, another woman had a spell to take my lover away from me and my husband left me and the kids and we have suffered for 2 years until i meant a post where this man Zuma Zuk have helped someone and i decided to give him a try to help me bring my love Husband home and believe me i just send my picture to him and that of my husband and after 48 hours as he have told me after doing everything he asked me to do, i saw a car drove into the house and behold it was my husband and he have come to me and the kids and that is why i am happy to make everyone of you in similar case to meet with this man and have your marriage fixed His email: spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com whatsapp him on this +15068001647..... thank so much Zuma Zuk.
