Tia's Thread - Vicious Cycle!!!

Hello everyone,

Hope you all had a great Mother's Day weekend with your mother. I missed my Mammas this weekend. But I had a great time with my husband instead. I bought a new cell phone to blog better even on the move.

Nope, that's an excuse. I bought a new cell phone because I am a techie and I love shopping.

Anyhoo, there is a news I have to share with you.

So next weekend is long weekend for us (Victoria Day for Ontario). So my husband and I will be in Stratford Saturday to Monday watching plays as is our yearly tradition - one by Shakespeare (Twelfth Night) and one a musical (Guys & Dolls).

So I won't be writing this post next Monday, May 22nd.

But not to worry. I am leaving our very capable Ashi to open the thread and write it for you.

You know how incredibly funny and witty she is. I will drop in to respond/comment if we have time.

Love

T

Now let's talk about our show. After weekends long spoilers (both hopeful and hopeless), I have finally came to conclusion about how Sonakshi must be feeling.

There is nothing she hasn't done for Bhaiya. She embraced his family like her own, let go of her wishes and hopes due to his mother's insecurities and tantrums, left her own engagement for him causing her family distress, kept trying to make her space in his life, she even fought with his Goddess mother for him and still kept her hope alive that one day, she will be worth to him what he was to her.

But what she got is a man who is only happy with her when she does something for his family but does nothing such in return for hers, a man who never trusts her and keeps blaming her for every little thing, a man who claims to be the greatest lover ever yet never dared to stand up for her or fight for her, who never proved by his actions (not just his lofty words) that when she is alone and his entire family is standing against her, she can count on him to stand by her.

Friday's episode proved that she was living in a fool's paradise to believe that she is more than an option, she is a necessity. She is not and she will never be regardless of what Asha and Elena tried to convince her with their limited knowledge and their lofty ideas of relationship.

She finally stood up for herself and decided to let him live the life of his choice as per his mother's instructions. And now she is free to live her life on her own terms with the people who were always there by her side.

People say that when you let love go, you regret it. If that love is true, if that love is faithful, if that love is by your side through thick and thin, in sickness and in health, in trials and tribulations - then yes. You will regret it.

But the love that comes with strings attached, the love that never around when you need support, the love that is not constant nor reliable nor trustworthy, the love that leaves you when you need them the most - that love was never yours and even if it is for a few seconds, it will vanish the moment you need it to be there for you.

So like the proverbial words, something that you need to grab tight, is never yours. Something that comes to you with their own free will, without any force or condition even though you set it free, is the love that can stand the test of time.

What worth is love, that had to be tied with ropes of conditions and past memories?

What worth is love, that doesn't respect, nor understand, nor stand by you in test of time?

What worth is love, if it's not given freely and only taken selfishly?

It's better to live with the past good memories, than to be forever churning within the vicious cycle of destructive love.

EPISODE: The episode starts with Dev hearing Khatri bad mouthing Ishwari in front of the lady and her daughter. Dev tries to go in, but Sona pulls him away.

Khatri hears something and goes to investigate. He doesn't see them, but goes out to look by giving excuse of getting food for mother and daughter.

Sona pulls Dev away. Dev: Did you hear what that man was saying about my mother? What must they be thinking about her?

Sona asks him to listen.

But Bhaiya is bhaiya: I don't want to hear anything right now.

Sona: If you weren't going to listen to me, then why did you brought me here?

Dev: That man doesn't deserve to live. I will...

Sona: You won't do anything. We didn't come here to kill him. We came here to reduce Maa's guilt. Please calm down, Dev.

Bhaiya calms down.

Sona: Come with me.

Sona comes in.

The lady says that Khatri is not there. He will return shortly.

Sona says: We came to talk to you. He wants to talk to you.

Dev comes in.

The younger girl gets a knife seeing Dev and threatens him.

Sona and the older lady tell her to drop the knife.

The girl says that Dev is the lady's son who ruined their life.

Sona tries to pacify the girl.

But the girl doesn't want to talk.

So Dev sits down in front of her with her knife on his throat.

He says: Kill me. If you can forgive my mother taking my life, then it's fine. My mother did a mistake. But I want to rectify it. Please forgive her.

The older lady says: What about our lives? Will you be able to return our lost happiness? Will the past return? Did you know because of your mother, our life got ruined. Our confidence, our dreams all got broken. In return of it you are asking for forgiveness? No, this is the trick of that low life woman. She is very selfish. She doesn't care of anyone else's life.

Dev is standing in Jai Hanuman pose.

Me: Haila!!! Kya sahi pehchaana aunty. Jo baat aaj tak Sona nehin keh payee, Bijoy ne kaha, lekin kisine attention nehin diya aur Asha ki to jaane hi do, woh baat aapne keh daali? Kisiki himmat, sapne, zindegi barbad karna to Maata ka track record hain. Zara Sona se poocho, apne pyaar mein himmat, uske sapne ya phir apni zindegi mein uski jagah, kuch bhi baaki hain kya?

(Haila, you got it so right aunty. The things Sona could never say, Bijoy said but no one paid attention to him, and Asha is useless anyway, you said it so clearly. Breaking someone's confidence, dreams, life is in Maata's personal track record. Ask Sona once if she has any confidence on her love, any drams of her love and any space in her life for it left still?)

Sona picks Dev up. She tells the lady: We can understand your pain. We came here to fix everything and ask to mend the mistakes. Please listen to us. Khatri was lying to you. Dev's Maa was looking for you for years to ask for forgiveness. But Khatri never let you meet her.

The lady: Khatri was looking after us for years. He had been giving us money which we were using to live our lives. He was going to give us money today as well.

Sona: He won't give you anything. He had been taking advantage of your situation and Ishwari's guilt. He had been blackmailing Ishwari. He was giving you scraps to become God in your eyes. His selfishness was after all this. He must have asked you to remain hidden from us. Didn't he say that? He never wanted to let Dev or his mother reach you.

Me: Haila!!! I don't know why. But everything everyone is saying sounding like Ishwari's description. Doesn't everything sounds like Ishwari's character?

Let's see, she was giving scraps to Dev to keep looking like Goddess. But had selfish needs behind it. She wanted to actually keep Sonakshi away from him. She never wanted Dev and Sonakshi come together because her reality will get exposed.

Guys, tell me if I am losing my mind or does it all sounds like Ishwari?

Sona says: Dev is standing in front of you. The man who is asking for forgiveness for his mother, how can he harm you? You have trusted Khatri for this long. Trust Dev Dixit this once. Whatever Khatri has said about Ishwari Dixit is all lies.

Older lady: You are lying. I don't believe you.

She starts crying.

The younger lady tells Sona that they are liers. They should step back. She asks if that's truth, why didn't she come to say sorry?

Sona says: Because she doesn't know. When this time Khatri went to blackmail her, I didn't let him reach her. She doesn't know that I am here either. She had given up on finding you. Let me call her and you will know everything from her. Just one request. She should not know that Dev is here and he knows everything. If she comes to know this, she will be broken.

The older lady says: I don't believe anything you are saying.

Sona offers to call Ishwari from her phone and requests her to talk to Ishwari.

The lady agrees.

Me: Sona, stop mollycoddling Ishwari. She doesn't break seeing her son in pain, but she will break knowing her son knows her reality? Her son knew her real face 7 years ago. He didn't even used to come home after that. Did it break her? Hell no. She is back with her emotional blackmailing business. I am sure even if she comes to know that Dev has found out her black deeds, she will conveniently find a way to blame you for it. You, darling, worry about yourself.

At Bose house, Bijoy is restless. Asha says that if he keeps pacing her and Gurudev, both will get mad.

Bijoy asks if he can rest at this time.

Asha says: Bijoy, Sona has gone for work. Stop fretting over small stuff.

Bijoy: Okay. If she has gone for work, I will call her.

Asha: Stop. You just told me naa that you already talked to Sona about it and she had said that there is nothing between them anymore. Then why are you asking her the same question?

Bijoy: I am not asking her anything. I am just asking how she is doing.

Asha: Neither I nor Sona will believe in your lame excuses. She is very smart. She will know what's going on. Do you want her to believe that you don't trust her? She is not a teenager that has to follow curfew.

Bijoy: You believe that I don't trust my children? Ok. I will call her in some time and if she doesn't pick up her phone, I will call Dev Dixit's home.

Asha doesn't say anything.

Me: You know, strangely, Bijoy's instinct is always on point. Sona sweared by his head that what she was saying was the truth and nothing but the truth. But Bijoy knows her daughter more than she can ever know herself. Despite Sona claiming that she is only telling the truth, he can't accept that because he had been burned too many times by Sona's promises when it came to one man. However, Bijoy Baba, even if you find out that your ultimate nightmare is the truth, what can you do? Nothing, that's what.

You should have left for Kolkata when you still had a chance to escape. However, not to worry. Ishwari is fulfilling your wish for you.

At Dixit house, Ishwari picks up the phone.

Hearing the older lady's voice she says: Memsaab (Madam)? Where were you? I have looked everywhere for you but could not find you.

Ishwari is on speaker phone.

Memsaab here is shocked to hear her whining.

Ishwari: Where were you? I have been looking for you everywhere. Will you not forgive me? Please forgive me. I was helpless. I went everywhere looking for you. You used to go to Vaishnav Devi, I went there too. I met the priest there. He said that you went to Uttarakhand, so I went there. Whoever said where to go, I went. But I could not find you.

Me: Uh, CVs, before you whitewash Maata, could you not watch your own episodes? Maata went Vaishnav Devi practically forced by Maama. So nope. She didn't go looking for this ladies.

Secondly, do you have any frigging idea how many people visit Vaishnav Devi? Expecting us to swallow that the priest there will actually recall one person who didn't have money to eat for years, let alone visit the temple during the same duration, not to mention their whereabouts is stretching the truth so thin that the holes are uber visible there.

On top of it, not only the priest, but someone else kept her going circles and they all remembered this lady who is not beauty queen (no offence meant, aunty), is as ridiculous as it is idiotic to hear.

I will conclude that Ishwari is faking again.

Sona: So that's why auntyji was out for so many days.

Me: And this is why you are such a sucker. Idiot...

Ishwari says: I looked for you everywhere and you called me yourself.

(Me: Jisko dhoonda Maata ne gali gali, woh Khatri ke nukkar mein mili?)

Lady says: Why didn't you ask your son to look for us? He has become a rich guy. He could have found us.

Ishwari: No, no, Memsaab. I can't even look at myself in the mirror, how will I tell my son all this? How could I include my trusting Dev in my lies? He can't see tears in my eyes. He doesn't worship God, he worships me. He won't be able to tolerate the truth. I am greedy for my son's love. If my son comes to know the truth, he will hate me.

Bhaiya is making restless face.

Me: Nope. Manma emotions no happening. This is the lady who came up with tricks to keep her son's wife away from him. How did she face mirror then?

This is the lady who fraudulently got her son's signature on prenup. How did she face mirror then?

This is the lady who spoke lies after lies and kept blaming her son's wife. How did she face mirror then?

This is the lady who called two people thief who were her son's wife's family despite herself being a real thief. How did she face mirror then?

Even today she is constantly emotionally blackmailing her son, how is she looking into the mirror?

So no, no amount of whitewashing, whining or pleading are going to convince me of her repentance. If no one knew about this theft including the people she robbed and Khatri, I doubt her guilt complex would have worked as much. After all, she never shown any sign of her guilt complex acting out before.

Ishwari begs for forgiveness some more (sorry too much whining, same things on repeat)

Dev folds his hands and so does Sonakshi.

The lady says: Which crimes will you ask forgiveness for? How many of them will you be forgiven for? That day, because of you, my sister-in-law's marriage broke. She could not come out the trauma of that even today. My daughter, Kajal, remember her? She is also sitting at home until today. She could not get married. Forgiveness for what? For my husband's death? You killed my husband, my children became orphans - you are a witch. You ate my portion of happiness. Why are you silent? Tell me. Will you be able to repay them back?

Dev and Ishwari making identical faces.

Me: One minute, lady. First of all, your sister-in-law doesn't live in a poor village of Bihar where she would be sitting at home forever because one marriage broke up for lack of jewellery. She lives in Delhi. She could have married again. If she gets into lifelong trauma due to a marriage break up, she needs treatment. Psychiatric kind. Whichever clinic Maiya and Bhaiya go, she can get group subscription there.

Secondly, your daughter seems normal. Why didn't she study and get a job? And why didn't she get married if that's what she wants? She is still young. You are talking as if she is in her 50s.

Honestly, CVs... Could you please stop promoting unmarried status = life over crap? I am getting tired of watching it on repeat.

And yes, I am married. And no, my life doesn't begin and end with my marital status. Had I got married to an idiot like Bhaiya with liability like Ishwari, I'd rather die single and happy. Thank you very much.

The lady says: I can't forgive you. Forget forgiveness, you don't even deserve my punishment. I want you to suffer like my children suffered. Because your capable, rich son is standing in front of me pleading for forgiveness.

Everyone gets shocked.

Lady: Dev, what did you think? You came to be Shravan Kumar? So easily you came here to ask forgiveness for your mother's sins. We were also desperate. But we didn't steal. What she has done to us, that person doesn't even do to their enemies. She came to ask for work. I trusted her and gave her work at my home. I fed her in the plate that I fed my children with. And she stole from my home. I didn't know that I was feeding milk to a snake. Your mother used to say that you worship her. Your mother is not God. She can do anything for her selfish needs, fall any low level. She can do anything...

Me: Aha... What a tune. Finally someone spoke the reality of Ishwari. Loved the monologue. High Five, aunty...

Sona snatches the phone: What have you done? She was begging for forgiveness and you?

Lady: I did to her what she did to me 15 years ago.

Sona: Look auntyji...

Lady: I am seeing. She stole my happiness and made you. You have grown very big. But from where I am looking, you are appearing very small. You kept worshipping your mother like Goddess and your mother never taught you the different between God and human being. God always look for everyone's happiness. Your mother? She is just your mother. She is an ordinary thief. Go tell her that we don't need her money.

Bhaiya cries.

Me: Truth hurts, Bhaiya. The lady is speaking the truth. That is the difference between God and human. God is fair, just and always kind to all. Your mother is nowhere near Him and never will be. The sooner you learn the reality, the better it will be for you.

Sona keeps pleading.

Me: If you had done as much pleading when Ishwari and Radha were calling your family thief, I'd have more respect for you. But let it be. Your family doesn't have any loyalty to each other except Bijoy.

When you had come back after your marriage broke, Bijoy should have threw you out on the street or demand you to return to your in-laws. That's the father you deserve, not the one who always stood beside you. A woman who can leave a father who always protected her dignity for a man who never did, doesn't deserve respect in my eyes.

The same way, a woman who doesn't stand by the man who always stood by him for a blood bond who never protected her respect, doesn't deserve respect either.

Relationships are made by people's efforts and actions, not by blood or any other ritualistic measure. Otherwise, every man who gives birth would have been a great father and every married men would have been a great husband.

This applies to the other gender as well. Not every woman who gives birth is a great mother and not every married woman is a great wife.

Ishwari is imagining Dev coming to her: Maa, I want to ask you something. By what right did you teach me about truth? Who are you to tell me to follow the straight path? You can't break someone else's home and make yours. But you, you made your whole life. You are not mother, you are a thief. This house which I used to call a temple, is made by another house's ruin. The person whom I used to think God, I am feeling ashamed of calling her mother.

Ishwari pleads: Please listen to me. I did everything for...

She turns but Dev is not there.

Just then she hallucinates Bhaiya entering from front door: Maa...

He runs to her and hugs her: I know that whatever you did was your desperation. You are not at fault. I know everything. You are still my Mummy and I am your Dev. I forgave you Mummy, I forgave you.

Ishwari is big smile and happy snuggles.

Then suddenly Bhaiya behind her: Did you think I will say this? That's what you thought? So that you can steal again? That's what you thought?

Ishwari: No, Dev. I made a mistake. I am willing to take any punishment.

Dev: I got punished that I was born off you. You are a lier. Everything is a lie. This home, these walls, I am - it's all lie. I can't live here anymore. I am leaving.

Ishwari: No, no... Dev, Dev, Dev...

Me: Ooohhh dear. Finally all signs of craziness are at once. Now please don't say that Maiya is not mental patient. How many hints do we need until we finally see the weird signs?

Khatri returns there: What are you doing here? That Ishwari has robbed them off everything. What else are you trying to get here?

He tells the lady: Maalti sister, you take Kajal and go from here. They are very dangerous people. They tried to make fool out of you, right?

Sona: Who is making whom fool, you very well know, Khatri.

Bhaiya is fuming. Uh oh...

Khatri: Maalti, don't listen to them. They tried to kill me.

Dev attacks.

Sona tries to pull him back: Dev, Dev...

Me: It's exactly like my example of little lady and big dog. And, Bhaiya again makes everything worse. I swear this guy needs anger management class. How long will he continue using poor me, innocent me, not understand me routine while he continuously ruin everything? No wonder Ishwari keeps him in leash. He is not fit to be let out in the society.

Khatri: See? See? He tried to kill me in front of you.

Sona tries to deny.

Maalti: Enough. You call police.

Khatri: Police? What will police do?

Maalti: I will give statements that these people tried to harm my daughter.

Sona: You can't do this. We came here for you...

Maalti: You get out from here.

Sona forces Dev out.

She tells Maalti: We came to fix everything. The mistake Ishwari ji made long ago, we came to fix that. Kajal, you have your whole life in front of you. Just think once. And stay away from this man (points at Khatri).

Sonakshi leaves.

Khatri says to Maalti not to believe them. He feeds them.

Me: Now there is no hope of convincing them. Bhaiya showed his reality in front of him and unlike fangirly Asha, these people are not blind. Any person who can attack on a statement which partly true, is not a safe or trustworthy person anyone can rely on.

Sona comes out and Bhaiya missing. She looks for Dev.

Bhaiya walks on empty road thinking about his speech from long ago party where he gave credit for his success to his mother.

So he goes and breaks someone else's car who comes screaming.

Sona comes there and tries to control him while apologising for his vandalism.

She says: He is with me.

The man says: So what? Does he think he can do anything? Who will pay for this?

Bhaiya tries to beat him when Sonakshi stops him. He whips out his wallet and stuffs money in his pocket.

He says: You want money? Take this. But remember, this money was earned by some other home's ruin. My mother lied to me. My mother is a thief. That lady was saying the same thing. Go tell the whole world that my mother lied. She is a thief.

The guy left saying what mad people are roaming on the street.

Me: Look, even the guy sees it. I kept saying that this Mother son duo needed therapy. But Bhaiya looks normal to everyone.

Anyhoo, back in Dixit mansion, Suhana wakes up calling Bhaiya's name.

Ishwari comes to her, fit and fine. No cry, no whine.

Soha wants to go to her dad because she thinks that he is sad or in trouble or both and he needs her.

Me: What? That's not telepathic connection. Have you seen Bhaiya, since he came back to his home from Bose house, as anything but sad, or in trouble or not being needy? Ever? Then?

It's like expecting Mount Everest to have snow. If you predict that, you will be 99.99% time right.

Soha asks Ishwari to call her dad.

Ishwari says that he is not at home.

Soha asks her to call.

Ishwari says that he won't pick up my call.

Soha says that her Papa always picks up her phone. He loves her very much.

Ishwari thinks.

Me: Abey, landline se kar na phir. Ghar mein aur kisike paas phone nehin hain kya?

(Why don't you call from landline then? Don't anyone else has a phone here?)

And Suhana, darling your mother is no where to be found. Good to know how much concern you have for the mother who raised you. Is this the child whom Asha used to call Sona's tail? But not you fault my dear. You have the loyalty of Bose house. Non-existent.

Sona asks Dev: What are you doing?

Dev: Sonakshi, didn't you hear what she said about my mother? But she is not at fault. My mother...

Just then Bhaiya gets Maiya's call. But he hesitates to pick it up.

Ishwari is hoping Bhaiya to pick up phone.

Here Bhaiya says: What will I say to her? I can't talk to her.

Sona says: If I pick up the phone, it will be worse. Please pick up the phone and talk to her.

Bhaiya: No, I can't talk to her. What was her fault. But that woman...

Sona says to herself: Sorry auntyji. I have to pick up the phone or you will think wrong about Dev.

She picks up the phone.

Ishwari: Dev, I...

Sona: Sorry, auntyji. This is Sonakshi. Dev is with me. He is fine. We are coming home.

Ishwari is shocked.

Me: Wait, let me just bang my head for some time before I can speak.

Okay. So here's what I see.

Bhaiya has no problem facing Maiya as long as she doesn't know that he knows.

But now that she knows that he knows, he can't talk to her.

So he is whining on the road and generally vandalising other people's property (not his car though).

Sonakshi wasn't as apologetic about the false accusation on her father and brother as she is about the true accusation on Ishwari of the same crime.

Great!!!

Ishwari could hang around fine (minus minor garden variety hallucinations) until only Bhaiya knew the reality. But the moment she found out that Sonakshi knows her reality, her face looked like as if her lifelong preaching status is permanently gone. Now how will she give philosophical, holier than thou lectures when her own deeds is blacker than Angus cow?

PRECAP:

Dixit house, all are present.

Ishwari says: The path I showed you, I could not walk on that path. Please forgive me.

She gets a heart attack (?) and falls down. Every one rushes to her.

Me: What did I say? Bhaiya going hospital? Then who will be blackmailed? Nope. Maiya gotta go hospital for blackmail part 2.

Maiya + Hospital + Blackmail + Bhaiya = Sonakshi ka khel khatam (Sonakshi's game over)

And the vicious cycle continues.

NO RULES!!! YAY!!!

  1. Word Tia ! And I am not really looking forward to the upcoming track. A rift between Ishwari and Dev is definitely on the cards but it is not going to be for the right reasons. And Sona will probably try to bridge the gap between mother and son . I also think Dev and Sona will remarry at Suhana's insistence.

  2. Kidhar rift??? Dev Sona ish the trio begged for forgiveness and Dev is all oh my poor mom...Like wow how they turned a sensitive thing like this to make ish mata mahan track. And Sona had the audacity to say they should forgive her cause they found her after ages and she's repenting?! Hell no..If it was me I would spit on tjeir face and shut the door on their faces. And wow what a convincing reason to show why ish wasn't in show, she was repenting back in front of bhagwan wah wah. This is truly Ishwari story with dev being the devotee and Sona the rambha who tries to seduce the devotee with her evil ways.

    1. Long story shortened. Read the first post fried chicken of this blog.
The admin at the forum was scandalised that dev was compared to fried chicken. Though he was never compared of you read it you will understand. The thread was closed because of unwanted reasons and the forum was becoming a bit too ishwari style. So the interesting lady from Canada opened a blog so crazy like minded people who don't like dictators can have a mind blowing discussion about anything and everything.
      * interesting lady from Canada with ref to second or third post in the blog.

It's good to see Tia opened separate blog to discuss with like minded people. Happy chatting guys :)

    3. Poor ishwari was worried about making suhana a dixit from bose. But suhana is already genetically wired towards being a dixit. She does not have a concern in the world for a mother who bought her up but had telepathic connection to her pappa who was living the life of a Casanova at the time her mother was working like anything to keep her in comfort yet was always there for her

      Delete
    4. Lol. I already wrote about this. Suhana makes the most obvious assumption ever. She never assumes anything about her mother because she can be happy, sad, busy with running her company, having a coffee with Jatin, in short living her life. But her dad? He is permanently whiny or sad or both. He is always needy. Now even Bhaiya's daughter has taken up baby sitting job. How much are you willing to bet that Bhaiya-Sona-Ishwari equation will be repeated with Bhaiya-Soha-Whichever unfortunate soul falls in Dixit honey trap?

    5. What's up with this new telepathic connection. Sheesh!!! Never want to hate a child for any reason, but seriously!! What was the need for that scene unless cvs plan a story around Dev-Soha and a 10 year leap. Save us from that crap.

    2. The way aunty emphasized her daughter's unmarried status, I'd say it's more than likely. But who cares? Bhaiya is ready to do whatever for Maiya. It's not exactly force is the person is already willing, is it?

  6. I am eagerly waiting for sona to spend her rest of life as a lonely spinster and dev happily married to another her ideal bahu like gopi bahu who will take care of soha and ishwari. It would be a nice lesson for all strong independent women out there in the world.

    1. Yep. Moral of the story. Women who respect themselves and love their family die lonely death. Women who forget their self-respect and their family the day they get married live happily ever after. Ultimate goal of a woman's life is to get married and keep popping kids for temporary acceptance through her kids. The end.

      Delete
    2. Unfortunately Tia, this is the reality of many ladies and I do know about some of them through friends. Considering kids as the key to the mother's happiness, which is never true.

  7. I think Ishwari is going to gear up to ruin this new girl's life by forcing dev to marry her ... GKB is going to put this thought into her ear, and Ish to keep Sona away is going to ruin more lives. At this point what is the difference between Gopi Bahu type shows and this one?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Can we only blame Ishwari here. Isn't it also Sona's fault because all we know she is still stuck to Dev emotionally. She will be the reason to break the girls marriage If it is fixed with Dev or Dev would have sadly married the girl on Ishwari's insistence.
Seriously Dev. Sona or Ishwari all three do not care about anyone else's feelings when it comes to them. We already know what Sona did to Ritwick, that was plain selfish on her part.

      Delete
    2. There's absolutely no difference between Sona and Gopi Bahu. However, if Dev agrees to marry the girl, he has to go through it. Sorry, Sona and Dev have to stop playing their sick games with innocent people's lives.

  8. Loopholes and so many loopholes that the logic and story just slipped and fell and broke to many pieces!🙈
What bullshit did we just see
    1. What is the logic behind this family going into hiding in the first place
    2. When jewellery kept for wedding is stolen people place police complaints and usually the Servant is the first suspect
    3. Why would one be ashamed that a wedding didn't take place because of a theft?

Even after all this I am still happy that lovely Aunty just told everything that ishwari and dev deserves to here and a bit more. Dev enjoyed the privilege of being his mothers son the most so he deserves to suffer in the guilt the most too.
Even if these people claim that they were afraid of The dixit money power still there is no logic because ishwari didn't become rich over night. She used it to pay the fees right?
And now I am worried about my child's future is education that damn expensive. And yo ishworry has too much guilt now she was directly the cause of death of the super Aunty's hubby.
And WTF is wrong with sona. Did she forget this same ishwari remaining silent when her father was called a thief. Why the heck is she so worried about ishu?
I think that girl kajal is going to be the next in line to be left at the mandap!

Bring it on CV's, I am already immune to BS logic and crappy story you present... But thank you for making our inner sadists happy today...

    4. Lol. Kavi, all valid points. Even if I swallow that they were hiding because they were afraid of Dev Dixit's power. But Ishwari apparently stole the money to pay for Dev's education. That means at least for next 5 years thd Dev Dixit was a poor student. What stopped them from, as you mentioned, from calling the police? Who gets scared of one servent and then goes to other servent for help? Seriously? If they knew for sure that Ishwari stole from them, then just getting police to search Ishwari's jhopda would have got them their property back. But CVs had three purpose here. 1. Whitewash Ishwari's crimes but the crime can't be too bad because otherwise she will be more hated, 2. Bhaiya gotta be reminded of Ishwari's Goddess state to feel sufficiently guilty to again fall for her manipulation without looking like a wimp, again. 3. Sonakshi has to get back in her Ishwari devotion mode to be totally supportive of the mother-son's sick equation same as before instead of running in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, for logical viewers like us, that ain't cutting it...

No Ishwari = no story unless Suhana and Golu become the new Ishwari and Sona ... but then makers miss out on Dev and Sona romance. If they take a leap and make Suhana grown up, then Dev and Sona will be too old to romance right?

And even through the whole ordeal ishwari stayed in character she got a heart attack because she feared for her lost status of divine goddess.

    3. Read your posts. You have given really good and in depth analysis. But other than a few I don't think many will get it. I don't know why people don't like the main leads to be criticised and seen as the grey characters. Why should they be always justified. A good critique is one who spots the flaws and analyses the same and says if the character is consistent or not. A good critique also has to be able to appreciate the good even In a grey character. That encourages discussion. But sadly the forum is lacking good discussion now a days. Too much sugar too can be bad

    1. Off topic? My dear, that is the topic. That's why I shared a similar link in my last week's post. This is a man whom any woman will be proud to call a son because he never did anything wrong nor supported a wrong, regardless of who was wrong. This is a man whom women will give their eye and teeth to have as husband because this is a man you can happily stake your life on. This is a real man among many whiny, spoiled men child of television and films who can't see beyond their Mummy yet doesn't want to be called a Mamma's boy. He is a man of honour, of integrity, and a real hero. But then to deserve such a man, you need to be Devsena. Fearless, fiercely proud and unapologetically herself at all times.

So the twitter fans are getting irritated with the story line they begged for (khatri secret) but continue to put a nonsensical positive twist that the writers will surprise them with something unique. There are people in this fandom that will go to any length to justify a failing story but will never question the writers to improve the story.
I feel the makers and writers are insulting the deep analysis that people do for this show when they come up with half baked tracks like the current one.

  25. wouldn't it have been a better story if Ish compromised herself, thus not ruining another family? I think there would be genuine sympathy for her and the guilt and anger dev felt today would have been justified. I don't understand Dev's anger today, what Khatri said was true right? she did steal from a family. I'm not sure how he still feels his mom is a victim ... his mom is always the one who was wronged, what about the family, sona, bijoy, etc ... "tumhara dukh dukh or mera dukh kuch bhi nahi"
Also why this family chose not to get the police involved is beyond me ... they also knew who stole the money.
Khatri uncle is turning out to be a nice guy, he gave the blackmail money to the family minus his commission, what is up with that? So Khatri uncle is basically a sassy robin hood ... stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.

I too feel that somehow the CVs are going to show that ishwari never stole anything or even if she did it was on khatri's insistence, of which he got the major portion and she had been feeling guilty (which in all the 300plus episodes I've watched never noticed even once) all these years for no reason. Then both ma-beta can continue their devotion towards each other and ishwari can protect her son from evil spirits like Sonakshi.

Another alternative is dev getting married to the girl for repentance, but at the last moment Sonakshi proving ishwari never stole anything.

The CVs are giving me so much inspiration, that even I am able to come up with as many crappie plots as they can.

    2. HAHAHA man I feel sorry for the writers and makers, the viewers remember and pay attention to such detail, they can't slide anything past the viewers unlike other shows! I wish the writers and makers would respect this love for this show and not ruin it so haphazardly.

I want to know how this Khathri secret has to do with the following that was related:
      1. the knife that Dev kept in his room that he said his mom carried because of the wolves ... this knife only came out when khatri would threaten his mom.
      2. in the first few episodes, when the family moved into IN, Dev was talking to an investigator to find the "sharmas" I thought the "sharmas" were the family that ish worked for and he was looking for them because he wanted to show them that he and his mother had achieved a great deal
      3. how come Dev doesn't recognize the lady that his mom worked for, isn't this the lady that slapped her? wouldn't he remember the person who pushed his drive to bring his family out of poverty?
      4. why did Ish steal for dev's education but not when the family was about to be kicked out of their house ... isn't that worse than not paying school fees?

    3. All valid questions. I think you should tweet these to the CVs and see what they come up with to justify this completely moronic plot.

  28. How does this khatri/stealing drama explain all the mean things Ishwari did and said to Sona?
    How does this explain:
    1. Ishwari trying to stop/delay Dev-Sona consummation?
    2. Forcing Dev-Sona to have sex in order to get a child?
    3. Ishwari making Dev agree to not call Asha "ma"
    4. Ishwari not apologizing to Bijoy about accusing him of theft/underhandedly taking money from Dev after Dev told her he gave the Boses money willingly
    5. Ishwari being a general bitch to Sona and Asha in the begining of S2 ... Dev sleeping around with random girls is worse than being with Sona right?

Simple "possessiveness because I stole for you Dev" doesn't even explain the ridiculous things Ishwari did. This track seems pointless ... Dev is not snapping out of his blind love for his mother and this whole Khathri thing came to Dev's attention because of Sona . So I don't see her forgiving Sona for exposing her dark secret right? urgh, why am i wasting time on this nonsensical show?!

    1. Honestly , none of those issues are ever going to be addressed. They have all been swept under the rug with this Khatri Issue. The only thing that will be addressed would be the eviction kaand and Vicky and GKB's other conspiracies. Ishwari may apologize to Sona but just like Dev's supposed repentence we wouldnt ever know whether she has a real understanding of what exactly has hurt Sona.

    2. At the moment if I want anyone to snap out of anything, then it's Sonakshi. She is the one who is actually making me more irritated day by day. I haven't seen her bend over backwards even when her father was falsely accused. The CVs are so disjointed with their own characters. Isn't the core character of Sonakshi is that she is strong, straightforward and honest, but now even more than dev she is the one who is hellbent on proving the thief ishwari as innocent, why????

    1. OMG Vicky redeemed. What an idea? Too good and can't stop laughing at this. We have more hopes on Vicky than Dixit's redemption.

    2. Matha ji is definitely not regretting playing god. She now wants dev to help in her redemption by marrying kajal it seems. Hopefully kajal says no. Why would anyone want to be chors daughter in law?

    3. I always wondered why ishu was so tolerant towards GKB and Vickys stealing ways now I understand of course compared to her they are just amateurs.

    4. Good for mother and son. Both with help each other to redeem each other. Good going for them and we will bang our heads for still keeping our hopes for both of them to redeem for what we are expecting them to.

      Delete
    5. Why not? If chorni gets redeemed, why not Vicky? Let everyone belonging to Dixit family or whoever is fangirl of Dixit family get redeemed.

  31. Posted this prediction on the forum :D
    Future prediction-
    1. Dev will decide to marry Kajal cos a. Money cannot undo the damage done to the family; b. Ishwari will be critical and dying of guilt; c. Dev will feel sick of himself and his success and will be ready to do anything to undo damage; d. Sona anyway told him to move on and he'l think she and Soha deserve better.

    2. Mamiji, Khatri and VIcky will brainwash mom and daughter duo to agree cos this is the best way to take revenge from Ishwari for the chori. Mami in turn will further feed into Dev's guilt.

    3. Sona will be shattered, Bijoy will be elated. Am still not sure how Soha will react or how Dev even intends to convince her.

    4. Ishwari will be shocked to see how her papon ka bhoj has ruined her son and now he is sacrificing himself for her misdeeds.

    5. Last moment, all other characters like Soha, Asha, Ishwari etc. will talk to the bride, beg, cry and she'l be touched and back out.

    6. I dunno if Dev-Sona will re-unite immediately after this or after some time. Depends on when show is ending:D

This will take another 2-3 months.

    Except-

Why will anyone think a girl marrying an unkempt looking alcoholic divorcee with a 6 year old daughter and who is hopelessly in love with his ex-wife will save her life in anyway? If anything, it will ruin her life further? Atleast make Dev cut his hair and dress up like he did before. One motivation can be the groom's gorgeousness:D

P.S. I will throw a party if am proved wrong and something less cliched and less dramatic happens.

  32. Tia, wonderful post as usual. I was remembering one scene from the movie Sholay, where Jai goes to Mausi with Veeru's marriage proposal. He was negating the vices of Veeru with another bigger vice and vicious cycle continued for quite some till Mausiji was thoroughly disgusted! :D
In season1 we had an insecure mother and a rich suave angry businessman who was also a doting son.
In season2, mother is a thief who ruined a family for whom she was working... and no nobody was dying in her family, she just wanted to pay the fees of an elite school for her son. That was her majboori! And the son, who in season1 was just a mamma's boy became an insulting jerk to his ex-wife, ready to manhandle her with/without any provocation, get into breaking spree human/vehicle when in anger, gunda -mawali kind, sarcastic and a womanizer. And then people wonder why Bijoy is worried!
Now Mataji will be in the hospital, everything brushed under carpet, characters not changing (DD's quote not mine) get ready for round 2! Frankly speaking I am getting delusional, the initial promos are coming one after the other and bombarding me just like the scene where Ishwari was hallucinating charging Dev. I am also clutching my heart and wondering why did I start watching this serial? I wish it was a finite series which dealt Ishwari's insecurity and how Sona and Dev handled the situation to make it better. It would have been a landmark serial which people could have referred when their marital life had trouble. Alas!

    1. S1 and S2 , so aptly described. I actually stopped wishing for any wish yday.
It still is a landmark serial...have you seen a show anywhere else where inspite of actions of a criminal, all the leads are actually treating you as God? Both the leads are so understanding of the situation that I clearly was reminded of one dialogue in Jolly LLB 2... "If everything is justified in love and war, then every aashiq throwing acid is justified"
Actually it will be a happier ending if Dev-Ish-Kajal stay as family and Soha-Sona-Jatin.
In fact, some one in IF wrote on this...that Sona-Bijoy need to introspect. I hope they do....but for Jatin...so that atleast we have a happy ending.

Dev-Ish can be justified. Nothing can justify their actions.

    2. We had been stuck on this show for no reason honestly. Had we wanted to watch the first season all over again with worse plotline, we could just watch the first season on repeat. Why bother bringing the show to season 2 and repeat the same situation with same people and have the same outcome?

      Delete
  33. Tia, I read your Me parts...they were so apt.
I have no words to say *head reeling* from yday epi.
    Nothing to say to Sona.
Ishwari is a criminal. Good actors, dialogues or anything the CVs do cant justify or lessen the impact of her crime.
I was so disconnected while watching yday epi. All were doing great acting but I felt zero emotions for any of them. It appeared as if I'm watching for some melodrama which didn't strike any chord.
Ishwari whinning had no effect bcoz she had the audacity to call a honest man a thief when she herself was living under the guilt of actually being a thief...Is that even believable? A thief accusing another honest person. And irritating this honest person's daughter cant seem to get enug of the thief.

At a certain level, I would have understood Ishwari's plight. Had it been shown she was actually in guilt. How she detests anyone being a thief. Her empathy for Bijoy being called that in her house by RR.
Instead of hiring a PD for getting Sona hitched to Ritwick, she wud have hired one to follow Khatri.

Stealing forgivable if the person is under dire need of money. A poor son stealing money to buy medicines for ailing mother is understandable. But in this case, for Dev to study, she didn't have to steal. Can not accept that. Her need is not strong enough to ruin someone's marriage. Secondly, this whole stealing fiasco presented as if a family's life ruined is another OTT. Golden jewellery r nt the only investment of a family...whr gone r the FDs?

There are way too many bloopers in the current track.

And Dev's guilt is highly highly irritating to watch. Add to it Sona's swan song.

A guilty Ish thinking of how she spoiled this young girl's life, Dev immediately comes to rescue by offering to marry since Sona already refused to, Sona accepting it since she suggested it and also, bcoz she understands Dev has to do it to free his God-mother from guilt and also himself? In the process, they r ruining the family all over again. Dev goes ahead to marry. Ishwari asks him not to sacrifice again. He refuses to listen till Sona acknowledges her feelings or Ishwari calls off the marriage herself, refusing to again butcher her son's happiness.

So, am I prepared to watch the above? Nahhh re...bahot ho gaya. Even if Dev goes ahead and marries the girl actually(1% chance, all hell will break loose in twitter), I wont give a damn bcoz its BS logic they r showing. Marriage is the only option left for girls , other than Sonakshi, in the show...coz u kno what , she is a feminist, strong and independent na... so being strong, independent is a rare virtue in today's world....most of the girls only think marriage will give them moksha. Now tell me which rang is this of love...BLACK!!!!!

    1. Thank you, Gauri. I hope to God, no young people assume what Dev actually feels for Sona is love. Obsession, possessiveness, attraction - yes. Not love. This is not how a man treats a woman he claims to love. You wanna see how a man loves a woman? Watch Bahubali 2.

  34. Enjoy your vacay Tia.
    Looking forward to Ashi's humour.

I'm still wondering why wud the lady Malti agree to marry off her daughter to Dev, who is a divorcee with a daughter. In a land where daughters' salvation comes from marriage, divorcee's are considered untouchables. Why not ask for hefty dowry to marry someone more suitable? What is there in a angry, middle aged, womanizer that is suitable? Except that he is very rich. So, just ask him for all his money. Simple. Why marry and ruin your life again? The money wont be yours even if you marry...thanks to RR and Vicky. What marriage will give that money wont to this young girl?!

    No logic....anywhere

    1. Thanks hun. Yes. That was exactly my point. I doubt any woman will think marrying an alcoholic with anger issues, Mummy devoted, ex-wife obsessed single father is worth betting a life on regardless how good looking or rich he is. Thanks but no thanks. I'd rather just fork out the money we are owed and eff off.

  35. Spoiler says Ishwari gonna ask Dev to remarry to Malti's daughter.
I'm sure Dev will accept. I'm sure Sona, even though thinks otherwise, knowing DevD will support him in his decision to be the ultimate sacrificial lamb. In all this, these two so-assumed-best parents completely forget their daughter is involved. Ish, as usual, thinking abt her guilt , not about her Asal's sood after all,, she may get a son out of this weblock...ultimate selfish person.

Since Dev is so guilty , I doubt he'll have it in him to do anything otherwise or even come out of the guilt-ridden complex.
I'll be happy to see Bijoy's happiness. I hope they have a leap where they replace Erica and Shaheer with someone else...I can satisfactorily quit watching it at 9:30....

*argghhhhhh* ...I hate Ish's OTT....sadly thts wht we r gonna get for next 2-3 months atleast....Gawd...

    2. What is a woman's happiness in front of Ishwari's whims? When has she ever thought of anyone else's happiness? This woman could not tolerate seeing her son happy if Sona was the cause. You think she would care for someone else's daughter's happiness except to wipe out the slate of her black deeds like she did by getting Sona as a toy for Dev and now handing out Dev as a toy to that girl? Hell naa.

  37. On twitter and some fan pages people are actually understanding and empathetic towards ishwari Devi! They are actually sad for the burden of guilt that she had to carry for so many years all alone.
What guil the daayan was living a luxurious life which was provided by her son. And every one keeps forgetting that she cares only for that one child of hers her son. The rest of her three was neglected by her and was treated like second class citizens. And she managed to wreck that sons life by making his married life a hurdles competition.

    1. When someone carries such a burden of guilt inside them , don't you think they would be more forgiving and considerate in general? The least they could have done is NOT call someone else a thief when they themsleves know they are no better. The makers' dismal and relentless attempts to create sympathy for the Dixits is beyond annoying now . The sense of entitlement they display even when Karma is punching them hard is sickening. The mother-son duo think 'forgivesness' is like 2 min instant noodles. Maang liya aur bas saamne waale ne do min mein aapke saamne rakh diya. And more than anything else Sonakshi was the biggest disappointment . The way she said " Dev Dixit aap ke saamne khada hai " as if Bhagwaan khud prakat ho gaye hai to give them a new lease of life.
The only thing good about the epi was that woman 's outburst . She said everything that we have always wanted to say and in that sense it was quite satisfactory but will that have the desired affect on the mother-son duo , remains to be seen. I hope they don't turn it into a pity party for the Dixits. And I think Sonakshi is going to be worse in the upcoming episodes because she is going to be the pillar of support for Bhaiyya and her Aunty Ji. Bijoy should probably rebook those tickets and get away as fast as he can.

    2. Bang on the point! You are right it's the hypocrisy of ishwari that is not letting me any sympathy for her character. Hopefully the makers at least make dev and ishwari react in a better manner to the current situation. Sona I have no hope left.

Stupid me!! I accidentally commented on Hira's post. Sorry, for that.
Out of curiosity, I wanted to ask that what phone did u buy for yourself? I hope I am not intruding your personal space with this question. Kya karo? forums pe aise kisi se kuch pooch leta ho, tu they start feeling uncomfortable, islye I have to take the precaution. Hope, you aint uncomfortable.

One more thing, I watched this new song's video Young and Menace by Fall Out Boy. It is a video with good message regarding the emotional abuse the kids face due to parents' fights.
