Tia's Thread - Boomerang!!!
Today my advice to Behena...
And my advice to Bhaiya...
Because, a disease and a healthy condition can't survive in extreme condition. Jealousy is a disease and love is healthy.
They can only co-exist in their mildest form as in moderate shallow love can co-exist with moderate jealousy. But as either of them tends to the highest limit, the other gets reduced.
As in when love is at its highest, trust is also at its highest, so jealousy disappears.
When jealousy is at its highest, trust is at its lowest. Then love disappears.
EPISODE: The episode starts with Bhaiya calling Maiya and says that he likes the girl and he is ready for marriage.
Payal smiles.
Behena is shocked. Maiya is on the verge of heart attack.
Me: And this is why I had wrote that deception never pays off.
By the way, that applies to Bhaiya as well.
Maiya: What?
Bhaiya: Okay then, I will talk to you when I come home. I will have to tell you what we said to each other.
Behena fake smiles huge: Awesome. That's great.
Bhaiya: You are so happy for me.
Payal: That's true. Thank you, Sonakshi. I am very happy to meet you.
Behena: Me too.
Bhaiya: Great!!! You are happy, Sonakshi is also happy. What else do I want?
Me: What about us, huh Bhaiya? We were asking for you to get a brain. But seems like Santa is busy until Christmas!!!
Ishwari is panicking: Oh God.
Ishwari calls Asha: Ashaji, I want to meet you. Right now.
Me: That's natural. You see, she had convinced two people that her hare-brained schemes will work and took them in her joyride. Now she is stuck and so do the two she had convinced.
Like I said, in season one, she underestimated Bhaiya's love and in season two, she overestimated Bhaiya's commitment.
At the restaurant, Bhaiya offers to drop Payal.
But Payal says that her home is in the opposite direction. So she can go on her own.
Sonakshi says: No, Dev. You should drop Payal. It's okay. I will get a cab.
Payal: Come on, Sonakshi. You have come for your friend's moral support. He should drop you first. And don't worry. I am not like those girl who gets angry with little things.
Me: Awww... Too bad you are Vicky's minion. Otherwise, you'd have been a perfect match for Bhaiya. He needs someone who doesn't call him out when he is being a douche bag and doesn't get angry on him.
Bhaiya is happy: See, how understanding she is.
Behena smiles big: She is very nice.
Bhaiya didn't quite like that response.
Me: Hummm... Bhaiya, you are behaving like those ass hat men who show one woman to the one they want and tell her what they admire about that woman, hoping they will get the point and mould them to their preference.
Yes, I am calling those men ass hat. Because that's exactly what they are.
I wish Sona had pointed out Jatin's maturity, smartness, supportive nature, caring, understanding and so on and so forth to show you exactly in how many ways you lack the quality of a man worthy of a self-respecting woman's consideration for a husband.
But Sona has no self-respect, so you are fine in that regard.
Payal says that she has no problem taking the taxi. Besides they will meet again.
Bhaiya: Yes of course, we will have to meet again. You know, I really like girls who keep their word. Otherwise, girls say something and have something else in their heart. It was nice to meet you.
Me: Awww... there's our familiar douche. Bhaiya likes girls who keep their words because he never keeps his. And of course he doesn't like those girls who say something and has something else in their heart. He is soooo honest at all times, no? How... Sorry. I don't have an adjective for this. Do you have any?
Bhaiya and Behena leave.
Bhaiya holds the door for Payal, but as Sonakshi is about to get out, he let go off the door and it was about to close on Sonakshi when she stops it.
Bhaiya: Oh sorry. I forgot. You had said no? That from now on I will open the door for someone else, not you? So buddy. (He fist pumps on Sonakshi's shoulder)
Sonakshi is pissed off.
Me: Are you sure Behena that you want to be friends with a jerk? I don't see that friendship is worth anything. I mean, here you are doing him and his family a favour and you are getting the exact reward that you used to get when you were married to him.
A douche bag in suit is still a douche bag and a gentleman in torn jeans is still a gentleman. Clothes don't make character.
I guess I will never understand why women like douche bags. I am more into gentlemen.
Payal's cab is already there. She leaves. Bhaiya is also melting pot: See you soon.
Behena says: Shall we go?
Bhaiya is still staring at the cab: I like her.
Behena: Good, very good.
Me: I am trying to understand something here. Which woman will go after a guy who declares that he likes another woman? An insecure woman who thinks that they have absolutely no worth.
You can try to win someone as long as they don't like anyone. But once they do, what's the point trying to win them over? They like someone else.
I don't get this logic. What is CVs trying to achieve? I wonder if we are heading to season three.
Radha and Vicky are celebrating. Radha is praising Vicky for making Bhaiya dance like a puppet from home. Vicky likes her admiration.
Radha thinks that now she will have fun when Ishwari gets shocked to hear that her plan backfired. She makes plan to show Sona her place. She says that from now on, she will rule, not Ishwari.
Me: Yep. When you keep snakes at home, don't be surprised when they bite you. They are snakes. It's in their nature.
That's why people say, it's better to have clever enemy than idiot friends. Because a clever enemy can't harm you as much as idiot friend.
Bhaiya and Maiya are those idiots. They are responsible for their own loved ones' misery.
Bhaiya did to Behena what Maiya did to Bhaiya.
The other one is Asha. She is responsible for her family's misery. She thought herself too smart. Unfortunately for her, she always is proven an idiot because Bijoy is right every single time.
Vicky tells Radha not to celebrate too soon. Radha is too excited. Vicky worries.
Ishwari meets Asha.
Asha asks: How can this be? How can Dev agree for marriage right after meeting a girl for the first time?
Me: Has it occurred to you Asha that may be Bhaiya's lau is as flaky as Lachha paratha from local dhaba and the girl he went to meet might be too hot for him to resist? No, I mean any normal person who is not brainwashed to think that Bhaiya + Behena = Forever, despite evidence to the contrary, will reach this conclusion. But not you.
Ishwari: Actually, it's because of me. He is doing it to make me happy. He is thinking that his mother wants him to marry again.
Me: And there's another delusional woman. Oh hello? Bhaiya had been dating numerous women in the last 8 years. He wasn't doing it as per your preference. He was doing it because he needed to get laid. Have you though that he might find that girl hot?
Why don't these two reach the most obvious conclusion?
And even if you are right, Maiya. It still doesn't change the fact that Bhaiya is still doing whatever because you said so which was why he and Behena got broke up twice.
How can that doesn't ring any alarm bell for Asha? Who wants their daughter married to someone who has no free will and dances like a puppet to someone else's tunes?
They don't know what is Bhaiya upto.
Maiya continues: How do I explain to him that this is not the time to be my son, but to be Sonakshi's Dev. What have I done to my kids? He can't even see his shadow in the shade of my motherhood. He got ready to stay away from his love forever? It's all because of me.
Me: I am not sure why Maiya is so shocked. Bhaiya did it twice already. He threw out his so-called love twice because of her. Then why won't he do it thrice? I don't get it. Do CVs expect us to get selective amnesia collectively?
Asha comes to Ishwari: Ishwariji, stop blaming yourself. It's not your fault. I think Dev has his reasons for taking this decision. He is hiding something from us.
Ishwari: What will he hide? He is doing everything for me. I know my Dev. He can't have any other reason.
Then she thinks: Oh, is he doing this because he wants to make understand Sona something? May be he agreed for marriage to make Sonakshi jealous? Please talk to Sonakshi. Tell her to take one step towards Dev. Dev will definitely change his decision.
Me: Oh dear lord. Maiya, are you even listening to yourself? Bhaiya has agreed to marry another woman. Now what step is left for Behena to take and why should she? He is still either ONLY your son (according to you) or he really likes that girl or he is playing games with Sonakshi to make her jealous.
Which one of these options makes it worth for a woman to take a step forward to a man?
Asha: But Ishwari ji, we want them to realise their feelings on their own. Otherwise, what's the point of all this?
Ishwari: But what if then it's too late? Ashaji, please once tell Sonakshi that I am with her, you are with her. She just needs to tell Dev once...
Asha: Sorry Ishwari ji. This decision should only be Sona's. And her fear is not unreasonable. We had been with her for 8 years. But she fought this fight alone. She will decide whom she wants with her and whose support she needs. Not me...
Ishwari is upset.
Me: Wow!!! Asha. I am surprised. But very pleasantly. Finally you understood. I am glad you said it.
You see Ishwari, you said a very apt statement today. You said that Dev is trying to be your son. But he has not been Sonakshi's Dev.
That's exactly it. He has not been Sonakshi's Dev or anything for that matter.
The man Sonakshi fell in love with was loving, caring, sincere, honest and very loyal (I am talking pre first break up). He went out of his way to make Sonakshi happy. He proved by his actions what Sonakshi means to him.
This Dev is a douche and a flirt whose character looks shady.
It's one thing for a single man to have affairs. It's another for a man who claimed to love a woman to flirt with another. The first you can give a chance if he shows his sincerity. The later looks like a casanova.
And Casanovas are great for affairs. But they make worst husbands.
By the way, Ishwari, this is just one person who is still willing to talk with reason with you. Figure out what you'd like to tell Soha whom you convinced that lying is fine if it's for someone else's good.
Sonakshi is driving when the car suddenly stalls.
Bhaiya says: It seems it got hot.
Behena: What?
Bhaiya: The car. The car got hot.
Behena: If that had happened, I'd have known.
Bhaiya: It seems it got angry.
Behena: What?
Bhaiya: It happens.
Behena is frustrated. She slaps the steering wheel.
Bhaiya: Be careful, Sonakshi.
Behena: Like you care...
Bhaiya: Something could have happened to the car.
Behena ignores him.
Bhaiya: I think I should drive.
Behena: It's fine. I am okay.
Bhaiya: You don't look it. Sonakshi, you are not fine...
Behena gets pissed off: I am not okay. I am not fine. It's all because of you.
Bhaiya: What did I do? What have I done?
Behena: What have you done? You went to meet the girl and said yes in first meeting?
Bhaiya: What is wrong in that? I came to meet the girl, I liked her, I said yes.
Behena: Exactly. You came to meet the girl. Not a car.
Bhaiya: Sonakshi, you don't know anything. You were sitting away. She has no problem with my past. She has no problem with you either. Now I got such a girl. Why should I say no to her?
Behena: No one told you to say no. But you met her for the first time and said yes already?
Bhaiya: Sonakshi, did you get married after thinking it through? Now look where we are standing.
Behena: Where are we standing?
Bhaiya: We got married after planning for everything. Whom should we speak, when should we speak - we planned everything. Yet you are today planning my wedding. I wanted to play bands and now my band is playing.
Behena: So you mean to say that whatever happened, it's all because of me. I could not maintain relationship and that's why I am getting you married now.
Bhaiya: Sonakshi, I am talking about us. I am not blaming you. Besides, I want to make a new beginning as per my plan.
Behena gets out.
Bhaiya also gets out: What happened, Sonakshi?
Behena: Nothing happened. Just drive.
Bhaiya drives with Behena beside him.
Bhaiya says: You okay, buddy?
Behena ignores him.
Bhaiya turns the key and the car starts.
Behena says: Cheater.
Bhaiya looks at Behena: What?
Behena: The car is mine. But it was cheating on me.
Bhaiya nods.
They leave.
Me: Well, that was quite symbolic.
1. The ride started with Behena in the driver seat. She was leading, Bhaiya was following. But the car stalled.
2. Then Bhaiya said that he is doing things out of his own free will as per his choice.
3. Behena then gets out, let him drive the car and the car starts.
4. Bhaiya comes to the conclusion that the car was not reliable (as in cheater).
Now tell me, if a car is unreliable, what do people do? Yep. They write it off.
That's what happens when people use jealousy.
Bhaiya and Behena comes home. Radha comes and feeds him sweet.
No one wonders how she knew what was Bhaiya's decision.
Ishwari comes home. Radha congratulates Ishwari. Vicky is also very happy.
Ishwari asks: Dev, what is this? You chose the girl in one meeting? There is no need to hurry. You can take time...
Bhaiya: Maa, Payal is a nice girl.
Bhaiya asks Mamaji why he is not speaking who is sitting worried.
Mamaji stammers that he is not able to speak in happiness. Since he has agreed to move on, what could be a happier news than this?
Ishwari looks at Bhaiya worried.
Bhaiya: Maa, why are you worried? I am doing it for Sonakshi and your advice...
Ishwari jumps all over that opening: Beta, forget my decision. This is not about me. It's your life. It's a big decision. You are going to get married. Why are you in a hurry?
Bhaiya: No Maa. Whatever is happening is happening because of Sonakshi.
He turns to Behena: Sonakshi, thank you. Had you not made me understand, I'd have never understood how important it is to move ahead in life. I'd have never agreed for marriage and Maa's wish won't have ever got fulfilled.
Ishwari is worried.
Just then Golu and Soha come there.
Radha gives them sweets and tells them that their BigCha has decided to get married to the girl he met.
Soha looks at Ishwari shocked. Ishwari is feeling guilty.
Me: I am enjoying this so much. I never liked manipulation. I am so glad the two manipulators - Ishwari and Soha are learning their lessons. Now I just wish Sona learned her lesson. But if stupid women didn't exist, who will marry douche bags?
Elena asks Sona to come with her. They were leaving when Radha stops them.
She gives Sonakshi sweet because it happened because of her.
Behena looks at Bhaiya who is happily playing with Golu.
Elena takes Sona away.
Radha smirks.
Soha watches her mother leaving. She looks at Ishwari's guilty face and runs from there.
Bhaiya calls her but she runs.
Ishwari comes to Soha who is angry with her.
Ishwari asks if she is angry with her.
Soha asks: Why did she say that Mamma Papa will come together? But this is going all upside down. Now I won't play this game with you. I even lied to Papa because you said that we will all live in the same house. I should have told Papa that I don't want another Mamma. He'd have listened to me and won't have gone to meet that girl.
Ishwari: Suhana, your Dadi also wants your Mamma Papa to get back together. She just needs some time.
Soha: What will that achieve, Dadi? Papa is ready to marry another girl.
Ishwari: No no. I won't let this happen. I will never let this happen. Just give me some more time.
Soha: Okay. I won't say anything to Papa right now. But if Papa gets married to someone else, I won't ever talk to you or meet you ever.
Ishwari calls after her, but she runs.
Me: Maiya, I am trying to understand something here. You might be able to use your motherhood to stop Bhaiya's marriage. But from a normal woman's perspective, pray tell, how will you convince Behena of his sincerity or his lau when he is so excited to get married?
You don't know that Bhaiya is playing tricks. And even if he is, it still doesn't reek of sincere emotion, does it?
If Sonakshi was fearful of Bhaiya's past records, now she should be even more afraid of Bhaiya's current fickle nature.
When you have someone who is scared of fire because they got burned and carrying the scars, you try to heal that with ice and care. You don't light them on fire and hope they will forget their fear. If anything, they will now even fear fire more.
Mamaji comes to Ishwari after Soha runs away.
Mamaji says: Ishwari, kids can never understand nor play adults' games. It's not your fault. She got upset hearing about her father so she ran away.
Me: Hain? Mamaji, you are a master at buttering up. If you understood that kids can't play adults' game nor understand them, then shouldn't adults keep children out of those games? How is that not Maiya's fault?
Ishwari roles her eyes.
Me: Yep, even you can see through the extra butter.
Mamaji: Everything will be fine.
Me: God, Mamaji is just a fountain of platitudes.
Ishwari: Bhaiya, what I thought and see what happened.
Mamaji: Look, you can't give up your courage like this. If the situation is adverse, then we will have to be careful. I trust Dev and you completely. You can never let anything bad happen to your children nor Dev will take a wrong decision this time.
Ishwari nods.
Mamaji: When my kachori decides something, then no one dares...
Me: Well, Mamaji. Do you know the difference in platitudes and actual sensible statements?
Sensible statements are spoken based on available evidence which clearly points out a certain conclusion.
Platitudes are spoken without evidence randomly to pacify someone.
Do you have any evidence that THIS TIME Bhaiya won't take any wrong decision? By the way, what is a wrong decision? A wrong decision for someone might be a right decision for someone else. So what you meant was that Bhaiya won't take a decision that is wrong for him.
But why not? He has known to take wrong decisions before. Then what evidence made you reach that conclusion?
None.
Hence, these are platitudes.
Soha is sitting in Bhaiya's room upset. Golu comes there.
Golu says: I know Suhana, you are upset hearing this news. I will fix your mood. Let's play something.
Suhana doesn't want to play.
Bhaiya comes there.
Golu says: No Suhana. Even if you make me lose, I won't mess up the game. You like Ludo naa. Let's play that.
Suhana still doesn't want to play and asks Golu to play.
Bhaiya says that they will all play ludo. He brings Ludo.
He let's Suhana go first.
Suhana looks at Golu. Ever loyal Golu makes faces.
Bhaiya urges Suhana.
Suhana takes the dice but puts it down.
She says to Golu: I don't want to play with anyone, Golu.
She walks away.
Golu says to Bhaiya: You made my sister upset. You call me your best friend but you got a new BigChi without asking me. I don't want to talk to you.
He runs away.
Bhaiya looks confused.
Me: I don't know why he is confused though. Did he expect a different reaction?
Asha comes home upset.
Bijoy asks: Where did you go? You are not picking up the phone, Sona is not picking up her phone.
Asha says: I had work outside.
Bijoy: You had work. But what has happened to Sona?
Asha stops him: Bijoy, Sona was with Dev.
Bijoy: With Dev?
Asha: Dev went to meet a girl. He said yes to marriage and Sona was with him at that time.
Bijoy is ecstatic: You have given me such a great news, Asha. I will have to feed you sweets.
Bijoy is surprised to see Asha unhappy: What happened? You are not happy?
Asha says: You are happy? Dev is Sona's ex. Not his friend. Do you have any idea what she must had been going through when Dev took this decision in front of her?
Me: Ummm... Excuse me, Asha. Why would Bijoy know this? Did he put Sona for Dev's matchmaking? No. It was you and Ishwari. Now because you are upset that your plan backfired, you are now taking it out on Bijoy. But no one had put a gun on Sonakshi's head and told her to match make. Again, that was her decision.
So considering what knowledge Bijoy has, he will assume that why would anyone match make for their ex if they are not 1. idiot or 2. is very eager to get rid of them?
If you want to blame someone, blame yourself, Ishwari, Sona and Dev for being so fickle. Bijoy is not responsible for anything. His only crime is believing in his daughter despite her past records of lying for Dev.
Bijoy: Dev was his ex. Now he is no one to her. What he does doesn't matter to our Sona.
Asha: No, it matters to her. You don't know? You didn't see how she learned to hide her feelings in the past 8 years?
Me: Oh really? And you saw everything. That's why you were planning to get her married to Jatin. Hypocrite much, Asha?
Bijoy: Arre, if Sona had any feelings left in her, then she will say something naa.
Asha: How do I make you understand. Do you remember Bijoy when Soha was young, Sona used to hold her in her lap and used to cry for hours?
Bijoy: Yes. So?
Asha: This is us women's superpower. We hide our feelings so easily inside us that people think that we are so strong. But those feelings go no where. It remains in our heart and slowly grows.
Me: Excuse me. Say what? Women's superpower are hiding feelings because it keeps growing inside us? May I call BULLSHIT as a woman?
I am pretty sure all the women who got over a cheating, abusive, insulting ass might join me in calling your bull.
Please scroll up and read what I wrote about platitudes. Yep, apply that here as well.
Asha and Mamaji should have been married. Both are platitude King and Queen.
Bijoy: But Asha...
Asha: Whatever you wanted to say to your daughter, you can say it. But remember, whatever you want to say, think about it first. Right now she is in pain.
Asha leaves.
Bijoy is thinking.
Me: Bijoy, just keep calm and patiently wait until the wedding is over (if that happens). Don't celebrate too early because often the dice turns at the last moment.
Bhaiya in his room is talking to himself: Your daughter is just like you, Sonakshi. She had said that she is happy about Maa's stupid idea. But look now she got upset. And she won't agree. Sonakshi, she is a child. But you are her mother. Please understand or Suhana won't have to tolerate all this...
Me: Oh really... By the way, what does Sonakshi need to understand here? It's not like you are looking as if you are walking to the gallows. Instead you are appearing happy and for a change like a normal man planning his future.
Suhana had said that she has no problem with your marriage. And now all intent and purposes, you are giving the impression that you also have no problem with your marriage. Now Sonakshi is supposed to assume otherwise and bring a whip to crack over your head so that she can prove that she is a good mother?
In fact, if you ask me, she is being a good mother, friend and human being. She first asked all of your decision and now respecting them.
Now what is your responsibility as a father, Bhaiya?
You are not a kid who has to be told what to do. Everything is happening as per your decision.
So if you assume that Sonakshi should stop you going against your decision, you are kidding yourself. She is not a caveman and you are not a damsel in distress. So either man up or shut up.
Bhaiya walks to the Ludo and picks up the dice: Suhana, why did you lie to me? Why did you say that you want a new Mummy? Had you not said it these won't have happened.
Me: Is this guy frigging kidding? Did he just expect his 8 years old daughter decide whether he should be married or not?
Bhaiya, please get one thing straight.
1. Suhana didn't say she wants a new Mummy. She said that IF you want a wife, then she will accept her. She has a Mother she is very happy with.
2. It's not a kid's responsibility to manage their parents' love life. So the decision was all yours. You went to see the girl. You became smitten. You said yes. So all Suhana could have done is prevent you meeting the girl. But if you are really smitten with her, had you met her elsewhere, you'd have still become smitten. Then what good would you have been to her mother?
It's not commitment's responsibility to be a ball and chain to bind love.
It's love's responsibility to build an unbroken commitment which doesn't need a social stamp.
Your commitment was weak. Instead of proving that Behena's fear doesn't apply anymore, you have now convinced her that she was right to be afraid of trusting you because you are not trustworthy.
Or that's the conclusion a normal person will reach who values themselves.
At Elena's room, Sonakshi is sitting.
Elena: What the hell, Sona. How can you let Dev bhai take such a decision?
Me: Last time I checked, Elena, Bhaiya is an adult and Sona is not his guardian. Why don't you ask Bhaiya how could he take this decision if he claimed to lau Behena? Or may be you don't have guts to question him because he pays the bill for you and your worthless family.
Sonakshi: Is he a kid, huh? Whatever he wanted to decide, he decided. He said yes for marriage. Who am I to interfere there?
Me: Precisely!!! See? That's the conclusion any sane woman will reach.
Elena: Sona, you are LETTING Dev bhai take such a big decision on your ego. And that too a wrong decision. I hadn't expected this from you.
Me: Wait a minute. First, no one is LETTING any adult person do anything. No one is holding a gun to Bhaiya's head. He also looked happy and not at all sad. Hence it was all decisions were taken with free will. Second, who the hell are you to expect anything from Sonakshi about her relationship? For that matter, she hadn't expected you to marry a douche like Vicky. But you did. So shut up and mind your business.
Elena: You know what? You held Dev bhai's hand and showed him the wrong way and then you pushed him there.
Sona gets mad: Push? What push? What do you want from me? What everyone wants from me? Auntyji wanted my help. So I helped. Besides her son wanted this. That's why he said yes for marriage. He is not a child.
And look, who the hell I am to interfere? Who am I to him? His ex-wife? His friend? Or his buddy?
Elena says: Sona, who are you in Dev bhai's life you should decide. What Buaji wants from you and what Dev bhai wants, stop guessing that. You have to decide what you want. Do you want Dev bhai to get married to someone else?
Me: Wait a minute. Let me clear this up.
So Elena, Sonakshi is not "GUESSING" what Dev bhai and Ishwari want. They told her in clear words what they want. So here she is not assuming that she knows better.
Secondly, it's not Sonakshi's decision what she wants to be in Dev's life. It's Dev's decision what Sonakshi should be in his life. Her only decision is what Dev should be in her life.
What you are telling her is what psycho stalker think that it's their decision who will be with them or not. But actually normal people ask others' decision and respect them. Which is what she is doing.
But if you think that Bhaiya is taking wrong decision and Sonakshi has held his hand and taught him how to take baby steps to wrong direction as if he is a toddler without any sense, why don't you be a good sister and show him the right way?
Why don't you ask the question to the person who took this decision why he took this decision and what does he feel for Sona? Sona is not the one who agreed to marry someone else. Bhaiya agreed to re-marry. So ask the donkey why he kicked himself. What can the donkey's owner do to stop it kicking itself?
Sonakshi says nothing.
Elena says: You are stupid.
She leaves.
Sonakshi thinks.
Me: Look who's talking. That stupid word is coming from the girl who married a useless creature like Vicky.
We will all find out soon Elena who is the stupid one.
PRECAP: Bhaiya, Behena and Payal are on a date.
Me: Yep, it gives the third wheel a whole different meaning.
Apparently Baby Dev needs his hand held in dates too. Because poor thing doesn't know how to date. He only knows how to ### in hotel room.
Karan, Payal's boyfriend breaks in.
The manager tries to stop him but he comes to Payal.
Payal: Karan, what are you doing here? Sorry. Now it's too late.
Karan gets down on his knee: It's not too late, Payal. I know I have always hurt you.
Bhaiya: You have come at the wrong place at a wrong time.
Karan: I love Payal.
Bhaiya: And I am going to marry Payal. Leave her hand.
Karan slaps Bhaiya.
Bhaiya falls down.
Behena is shocked.
Me: Nope. Still don't get the point of this.
Does Bhaiya want Behena to do what Karan is doing?
Well, then actually the shoe should be in his foot.
Does he wants to show Behena how a true lover wins back his lau?
Well, even then it backfires because he has done nothing to indicate that he hasn't suddenly become wildly attracted to Payal.
Who wants a man who is attracted to another woman?
But then Sonakshi is kind of pathetic for coming to this date as a middle-aged chaperone. If I were her, I'd have suggested double date and had brought my own date. She said no to marriage. But she is a healthy young woman. So why won't she date?
But then I am not a moron.
NO RULES!!! YAY!!!
NO RULES!!! YAY!!!
I get your advice to Dev and I agree with the quote.
ReplyDeletelook, if all of this was happening near the first confession... i would have enjoyed it thoroughly. Because come on, that would have been an adorable sight.
But Dev and Sonakshi, or should I say the writers always confuse the situations. Like after Sona's engagement fiasco, he should have redeemed and earned her back but instead he got Asha and Elena to convince her that she can only be happy with Dev and should forgive him because mistakes happen.
Fine. Cool.
Now, he is supposed to earn her back. A little playing with heart, making jealous kind of game... This is not what is needed.
When you need people to speak their mind... You can torture them with jealousy to provoke them. (Which would have looked good during confession time)
But when you want to earn their heart and trust in the first place, you don't play games.. You goddamn earn it. You prove yourself.
What Dev is doing now, is taking shortcut. Manipulating. Coercing.
Not doing what he is supposed to do... But just... I don't know, luring Sona/ Making her believe she is wrong in staying away and she will never be able to forget or stay happy/ Making her believe that her Dad is separating them and not that Dev actually needs to stop.
How is that a hero??
PRECISELY!!! I am so glad there are sensible people like you. Yes, that's exactly it. Just like Sonakshi brought in Neil to gauge Dev's feelings back then because then there was no hurt feelings, no heart break, no bitter past between them.
DeleteBut now all of the above exists. So instead of being an ass, he should try to be a hero for a change and win her family over like she had won his.
But Bhaiya and work? What for? Sonakshi isn't telling him to eff off. She is chasing, that's why he is playing games. If she wash off her hands, he will hardly get anything from playing games.
Hero is only defined by his looks or fanbase...who is the most popular and good looking guy in krkab...he is the HERO!!
DeleteBut you know what, forget what I said.
ReplyDeleteYou see, I just realised that Sona is already dying for him and had placed her heart in his hand.
So yeah, it is, as a matter of fact, a trick to let her speak her heart without fear and not, you know, Winning heart and trust and starting new....
Sad. But who gives a shit?!
Yep. That's exactly the problem. This is working because Sonakshi is being a moron. Hence the advice for behena.
DeleteThere's nothing wrong in leading with the heart. But a heart without a mind equals to a moron.
Can't even think how illogical and stupid this story has become. Sonakshi is dying to be with Dev. Ishwari did a 360 degree change within hours. Asha wants Dev and Sonakshi together since forever. Bijoy is the ultimate villain in this story. Saw some segment where Sonakshi shouted at Bejoy and blamed him for whatever happened between Dev and her. I think this is too much. I ve really had enough of this non sense. If she was so desperate to be with Dev what was she doing all those years. I think Vicky and GKB are right that she came to the city to just be with Dev. I don't see any other reason.
DeleteIf Sonakshi indeed does it, I hope Bijoy slaps her hard and kicks her out of his home. She can be an ass in someone else's doorstep. But then Sonakshi takes after Asha and Saurabh. Ungrateful to the man who was always there by her side at all times and slobbering after the man who never did.
DeleteOmg !!! I tell my daughters this all the time ---" ofcourse it's great to fall In love but take your brains with you"
ReplyDeleteWill write more
That's a very apt advice every woman should learn.
DeleteI have been reading your posts for quite a while. And to tell you the truth, I was a bit scared to post anything. The way you were thrashing the characters left, right and center, I was afraid of getting one or two across my face. Hahaa!! What I keep reminding myself nowadays is that the show is a work of fiction and I shouldn't question 'why what and how' Most of us were crying for a redemption and that was done through this stupid Khatri track.
ReplyDeleteLets come to this wedding track. While some of you find it a jealousy track, I think it is more of a fear to lose someone. Both are different. All said and done Behna doesn't want anything more to be proven. She still has the feelings. However, since it was a failed relationship, she doesn't want to start again. To add to this she has promises to keep. So she is holding herself back. This is normal. What I find stupid here is her being the match maker. Oh yeah!! Let me remind myself fiction! fiction! fiction! So chill, don't exert yourself
I get Sona's POV, minus the drooling and matchmaking.
DeleteIt isn't about jealousy. It is--in their words-- overcoming fear, insecurity and accepting your love.
What I am saying is that is a valid point of Sona. And I want Dev to help Sona and hence restore their love. My problem is that yet again he is not doing what he needs to.
No worries, hun. I don't thrash people for their opinion. Lol. So feel free to share yours without fear.
DeleteI agree with your point. The jealousy track would have worked if Sonakshi didn't have feelings for Bhaiya. But she does. Her problem is lack of trust on Bhaiya to be able to sustain a relationship. This track will only make it worse because it will enforce in her mind that Bhaiya is fickle.
So Sonakshi will be rude to Bijoy... Wot is new here. Ever since Dev has 're entered Bose house, the whole family is rude and sarcastic to him. Nothing was Ishwari's or Dev's fault.everything is bijoy's fault. Good
ReplyDeleteYep. After watching this show, I am pretty sure the craze for boy child will go up. Who wants ungrateful daughter when one can get loyal son who gets devoted daughter-in-law even when he divorces her?
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletedev and ish expecting Sonakshi to confess that she needs Dev but if she stays true to her character i hope she doesn't .
ReplyDeletetoday's episode she made it very clear that Dev is not a kid and he should know and decide what he wants. If he doesnt want this then he has to say " NO "to everyone and not yield to there bullshit demands even though it comes from his 2 women who shares his blood . saying and whining infront of Sonakshi or making her jealous is not enough. He needs to man up first .
just like Sonakshi said even if Bijoy asks or forces her to marry .. she would not.
he needs to decide on his own merits.
i predict Dev is going to try till last to make sonakshi jealous and she will start bashing/irritated on bijoy / anyone who will come and try to preach / force her as we saw in segments hope she will not stop the wedding.
he cancels it instead of sona but cv's hell make bijoy and sona losers .
ishwari what nonsense she needs to stay away sona life is not a book were ish scribbled and now wants to erase it with eraser called soha it doesn't happen that way in real life ..life is not joke ...
sona "A flower doesn't dream of a bee it blossoms and the bee comes "so don't lose ur essence for the ppl who never cared value ur father who values u and be a strength for life"
Yes, why not? Sonakshi for training from Asha, no? Why should she be any different when Asha is a jerk to her husband? Children learn respect from their parents. They don't respect their mother if their father disrespects her and she does not protest. The same way, they don't respect their father if their mother disrespects their father and he does not protest.
DeleteI feel it's the script that's making sona character weak
Delete
ReplyDeleteHi Tia :) its just co incidence that the quote was running in mind for a. Few days and saw a live exams tonight. To keep your heart safe first you need to use your brain which screams when you are making a mistake.
The only good thing is that finally Asha has stopped interfering in sona's life and ishwari is slowly realizing what dev has been doing to keep her mother happy all the time and its time for him to stop just being a son and be the man sonakshi would want in her life.
Can I mention Golu is such a cute adorable and sensible brother to soha he is just brighten up my day with his cute antics.
Yep. I am also glad that Asha not only has stopped interfering but has seen the result of interference first hand. I am glad that even Ishwari has learned her lessons. But what she has started, she is now unable to stop without revealing her plan. I am also glad that Soha realized that lies don't pay off. I didn't want her to become a lier like her parents.
DeleteGolu is as usual adorable.
This show turn out to be such a disgrace to women feelings and emotions. This whole thing is downright insulting and regressive. Moral of the story divorce women and single mom are useless and dumb .They can't move on from abusive relationship. They lack intelligence .while male lead in this show shown to be good son but female lead has to insult her father For "lou" because why not?? patriarchay runs in indian daily soap.LOL any intelligent and self respecting girl will run miles away from guy like dev .seriouly producers don't underestimate women emotions and her self respect. They clearly consider women as emotional fools.LOL Durjoy how come you are proud of this regressive stuff.
ReplyDeletelol tia what an apt title "brain "missing from sona body for sure dev has just swept her feet in lou ...hope her mouth opens up to plead him to take her as doormat.
ReplyDeletejealous really sona has left her brain in the camp i suppose ...
brain and self-respect are two important things which sona has to have but seems like dixits have strong charm were they can easily draw her back .
poor bijoy kya family mila usko better he jumps back to calcutta....asha is sick seriously sick
Yep. I don't understand why Sonakshi is not thinking in the line that how fake Bhaiya's lau must be to turn to another so soon and so easily? But then you need brain to reach that conclusion too.
DeleteWahi tho were is that sona who was stone seeing bhaiya and sruti in hotel never cared now writer made her sick puppy craving for dev but can't express
DeleteDev character reminds me of character played by rajkumar rao in Queen movie. He also played same type of games .difference was Rani was smart and knew her Self worth .dumped him like hot potato. Here ma and beta playing same manipulation. This show is clearly preaching Girls now matter what how much you will achieve in life, you will feel happiness only when you get married.
ReplyDeleteExactly. But then we cheered for Kangana in that movie when she refused to return to the Dipshit because no one told us that Rajkumar Rao's character was the hero, whereas here people want Sona to go back to the Dick shit because here the makers told us that Bhaiya is supposedly the hero.
DeleteUpdate done. Responses later.
ReplyDeleteI read in the forum that the certain person wants to see Sonakshi breaking down and suffering coz she/he wants to fulfill her sadist dreams of seeing how Dev suffered during Ritwik track. She/he feels sorry for Ishwari as she did not know Sonkashi's will power. She/he also thinks that Dev should tame Sonakshi by forcing her to confess by making her weak, desperate and vulnerable. Dev should relish the process and wishes Sonakshi not to be strong since it would have helped Dev Dixit in saving himself from all the mess.
ReplyDeleteIf this is the mindset of people, how do you expect them to embrace women empowerment?
women empowerment...what is that?
DeleteDont commit the mistake of expecting...in their dictionary, its called equality.
Dont even bother to understand the logic behind their comparisons, bcoz then you'll forget what logic means!!
Well, you can't change people's opinion. There are also people who blame the victim for rape. That's the kind of mentality some people have.
DeleteBut because of that shitty statement that women needs to be tamed because she has a will power tells us what kind of people they must be. Because human being doesn't need to be tamed, taming is for animals. So they basically equate a woman with animals.
I am thankful that that kind of people are not in my life and I feel sorry for those women who must be related to them anyway.
I have as much contempt for this kind of mentality as I have for the people who support this kind of mentality.
Everyone is actually celebrating the current track. There are posts everywhere about happy they are that Sona is suffering because ALL of this is her fault. Also, they are rejoicing that Sona is going to shout on Bijoy bcz according to them, he deserves far worse and had it coming. Just reading this stuff makes my blood boil.
DeleteI'm thankfully late tonight in watching the episode.
ReplyDeleteThe episode sucked sucked and sucked.
As I had said yday, its a deadlock situation where all are lying to each other supposedly for the other's well being and its hell lot of confusing.
Loved two things- Asha saying to Ishwari about Sonakshi's decision to chose was hers only always...atleast she said the right thing here.
The other thing is Sonakshi explaining to Elina why she feels she has no say...I liked her saying those things....she summarised the whole fiasco from her own POV.
And the rest I hated. Particularly, Dev talking to himself about Sona agreeing....I so hated him then, I could hav punched him in his face...what a fool!!! Who made him a businessman!!
Ishwari...big idiot....but she guessed it right.
Dev-Sona convo was comic.
Well, to sum it up I am not at all enjoying these stupid Devakshi scenes...somehow it doesnt register or even believable that these two are teenagers....particularly Dev. Sonakshi's J is still under control, as it always was....and Dev's deewangi has turned it all into a unrealistic high school drama.
I'm not enjoying any of this.
Yep. I hated to see Bhaiya playing stupid games and pathetic Behena participating in that game. I can't tolerate idiot female leads. That's not what I signed up for. Now don't even get me started on regressive ideas Asha, Ishwari and Elina is spouting as if Bhaiya is a child that Sonakshi has to raise as an adult.
DeleteBhaiya doesn't need a life partner. He needs a nanny, a caretaker, a maid, a cook, a parole officer, a defense lawyer and a mistress to have sex with all in one person.
Why are you surprised, hun? This is not the first stupid track and this won't be the last.
ReplyDeleteAs I see, in the trio, only Sonakshi has been honest to the others while the other two maa-beta are,as always, still resorting to lies.
ReplyDeleteElina is vry vry irritating when she gives useless gyaan.
When Sonakshi doesnot feel she has any right over Dev, why will she even think of confessing her feelings to him?
I want to see this -- On marriage day, Dev is on the mandap with the girl, Ish/Elina/Asha/Mamaji worried, Sonakshi missing, Bijoy dancing. Dev forcefully gets married and is on he verge of quitting when the bride turns out to be Sonakshi. Hua yun, Soha shares the secret of Dev-Ish with her mom pleading to Sonakshi and Bijoy to reconsider. Both agree and plan. Bijoy dances since its his daughter wedding. Sonakshi makes pappu dixit truly pappu. Atleast for sometime, pappu dixit will understand what happens when manipulative plans backfire.
Btwn, from when did Dev start holding doors for Sona? Last 8 yrs se toh bhaiya gayab hi the. Somebody explain to him what actually works...I so wish he had taken Bijoy's advice for a change....dreams!!
Yep. Sonakshi had been honest in the sense is that she has admitted why this relationship can't work. She has never said or pretended that she doesn't care about Bhaiya or that she is interested in someone else.
DeleteThe only person she lied to is Bijoy and herself. She claimed to be a strong woman when she knows that she is a weak woman with no self-respect when it comes to Bhaiya. So yes, in that sense, she has lied.
Honestly Gauri, I don't need this sudden bride swap track. It has been used million times.
Why suddenly Sonakshi will agree to take the bride's place when Bhaiya is getting engaged to any woman crossing his path?
Why would Bijoy be happy to see Sonakshi marrying a man who has done nothing to prove that he is even worthy of kissing her feet?
How would revealing Soha and Ishwari's plan change the fact that Bhaiya didn't stand up for his so-called love and was willing to marry anyone and not to mention drooling over them?
I don't see then why Sonakshi hadn't begged at Bhaiya's feet when Bhaiya revealed her to be one of the options.
Because that achieves precisely nothing besides waste of time in the meanwhile with multiple short term entries.
If I was CVs, I'd have tangled the web around Bhaiya where the girl he agreed to marry (may be the next one) refused to release him from the promise and he has to go through the marriage.
He also has to learn his lesson for playing with fire.
In the meanwhile, Sonakshi can announce that she is expanding her business in abroad so she is moving there with Jatin, her business partner and best friend.
Soha had been living in Ishwari's house anyway.
Now every single manipulator then can be trapped in their own game and the only person who didn't manipule is free to live her life.
But I know that's not how things will turn out. Bhaiya will always blame others for his own decisions. So if Bhaiya is stuck as usual he will blame Sonakshi for the decision he took.
I know what I want or we want is not gonna be shown. If they want to show KB types marriage mandap wala reunion atleast dont show the cliched one where Sona goes running to stop Dev's marriage in the last minute.
DeleteSo, wanted atleast Sonakshi can take the bride's place and make Dev unomfortable for a change...why only Dev, Asha,Ish,Mamaji all will be fretting and Bijoy dancing...bcoz obviously without Bijoy's permission Sona wont take this step. Atleast I'll be happy to see the honest ppl happy...kuch toh sahi ho...sab kuch gadbad lag raha aaj kal.
So let me get this straight, Bijoy wanted and asked Sona to marry Jatin, but she refused and didn't do what Bijoy wished. But now she is blaming Bijoy for her's and Dev's failed relationship because she listened to him. When did that happen and did I miss something.
ReplyDeleteI am sure Fangirls would be extremely happy when Sona would shout at Bijoy, but for me this is so wrong.
Bijoy became a villain from a loving father and Ishwari became a loving mother from a villain, kya palti mara hai iss show ne and then DD says people don't change, LOL.
Yes. Because how else will she pay him back for loving her, supporting her in her every decision, understanding her even after she embarrassed him by leading on an innocent man and then running after a drunkard who threw her out like an used tissue, letting her come back as pregnant divorced woman even when her ex insulted her womanhood, taunted on her for her infertility, called her gold digger?
DeleteBijoy treated her like a human being and let her take her own decisions. So he has to pay the price, no? After all had he treated her like trash, then he would have been a suitable dad for her.
Shame on women like her.
ReplyDeleteI know some ppl on IF are expecting Sonakshi to confess that she needs Dev etc but if she stays true to her character ... i dont think that will happen..
Even in today's episode, she made it very clear that Dev is not a kid and he should know and decide what he wants. If he doesnt want this then he has to own up to it and say NO to everyone and not yield. Just saying and whining infront of Sonakshi or making her jealous is not going to build the lost trust. He needs to man up and say NO to every single one of them. Until he acts like sonakshi is a choice and if she says NO and gives a nod for him to marry anyone else --- then that is not good enough change... just like Sonakshi said even if Bijoy asks or forces her to marry .. she would not.
So if i may predict, Dev is going to try till last minute to make sonakshi jealous and she will be too.. she will start blasting bijoy and anyone who will come and try to preach her or force her ... But she will not stop the wedding... It has to be done by DEV himself... he has to be show that he is not willing to see sonakshi as just an option his family put infront of him...
Once he cancels it ... we will see sonakshi proposing to him .. ofcourse with the cauliflower.
I agree, Lavanya. Sonakshi's past records indicate that she will never stop Dev if he appears happy. She always wanted Dev to be happy even if it's with someone else. She had said it repeatedly.
DeleteSo unless her character is also butchered for illogical plot, I don't expect her to stop the wedding until Dev does so.
Agree. If Sonakshi stays true to her character, she will never stop Dev's marriage. Thats not her. She will shed tears, eat junkie but will never go ahead and stop the marriage.
DeleteLets see if CVs maintain consistency in her character or butcher her. The CVs only said the characters dont change. True. Dev-Ish are still lying and manipulating where as Sonakshi and BIjoy are still honest.
Hey Tia commenting on your blog for first time i was in IF and used to comment on your thread with un:SecretSuperstar
ReplyDeletei am indeed happy with the upcoming sequence where sona shouts at bijoy not because i'm blaming him for breakup(infact only sona might have a liitle bit contribution but the main reason was dev's shallow love) but this act will definitely make bijoy understand the lie his sona is weaving and he will try to take some control in her life ( interfering is not in his nature but with this control once again he will provide the support which neither dev nor her mother could provide) and be a bit strict with her. Like a true father who always pampers his princess irrespective of age but gets strict them when they do tend to go out of hand is what is exactly needed to be done by bijoy( and he is very much capable also)
The only thing that upsets me these days is when i read on IF how young girls openly blame sona and bijoy for standing up for themselves and not trying to mend their relationship with dixits. Indeed women equality in our country has also been limited to dictionary or speeches in schools
I agree. Bijoy needs to understand that his reality first. His family takes his love, care and protectiveness for granted. I want him to leave everyone and move away. Let those ungrateful people deal with themselves.
DeleteWhat bothers me is that how they are showing that a man is so loyal to his family that even after knowing his mother's direct contribution to his life being ruined, he still can't blast her without being drunk and a girl is so disloyal that she can turn against her family the moment she falls in love with someone with whom she hasn't even spent even one year with.
As if our country and society need more examples of what every family should wish for a son and treat their daughters like second class citizen to their son.
What can I say?
ReplyDeleteI just find this jealousy track absurd to say the least and sooo childish. I was hoping for a real romantic track where Dev
a) works to win back lost trust
b) is just less selfish - and self-absorbed...
the young things seem to be stuck in some time warp. Its so sad --- hopefully their real life takes a more mature approach.
I wish they had followed that track. But Bhaiya is God. So he can be a douchebag but still Behena will blame her father for breaking up her relationship when it was that douchebag who'd have never looked at her twice had she been infertile even today.
DeleteYour advice to Behna and Bhaiya is absolutely spot on. These days it's an effort to watch the serial. Only few things I liked. Asha's decision of not interfering with Sona's mindset. If left to Ishwari, she will not only manipulate her son but her ex-daughter in law too! Also loved the fact that Suhana finally behaving like a child of her age and miffed up with her manipulative Dadi and Papa.
ReplyDeleteI am shocked that Sonakshi would shout at Bijoy! That would be absolutely pits. Such ungrateful daughter deserves a controlling, manipulating, insecure MIL and equally useless, spineless, mamma's boy as husband. I would not have a single regret that Sonakshi got hitched to psycho Dixit household again! I would say bring it on Mamiji and Vicky! :D
Thanks. Yep. I agree. just can't tolerate pathetic characters and Behena has turned into one. Bhaiya was always a douchebag. But I didn't sign up for pathetic woman lead. There are plenty of those in other channels. I don't watch them.
DeleteVery soon... stupid idiot Sona will slap bijoy. Unless that happens, he would not leave for Calcutta... I just don't want to see him insulted... He can divorce his family and stay in peace... IF pe no one understood my sarcasm
ReplyDeleteI want Bijoy to leave his family as well. He needs happiness too. If Bhaiya can have someone more "understanding", why can't he? I hope Soha and her husband treat Bhaiya and Behena the way they had treated Bijoy.
Delete@ JShulka - i saw your post on IF and facepalmed when people took it literally...but people there hold Sona and Bijoy responsible for everything. Obviously they would like Bijoy being insulted.
DeleteI remember a while ago the same people didn't want Dev to insult Ish bcz Ish is a "misunderstood" character and no parents deserve that.
But now, it is all fine and dandy bcz this is Bijoy.
Bijoy trusts his family and cares for them, also protects them. No matter what,I'll never understand why is he compared to Ishwari. Ishwari's insecurities arose out of nothing Sona did but it stemed out of Dev's hiding things from her and Dev not being able to balance them both.
DeleteHere, Bijoy is purely getting manipulated by all his family members. I dont care abt wht Devakshi do but they have no right to hurt him.
Mauli.... I just want Bijoy out of the periphery of these insane people. .. besides by blaming Bijoy for something he never did, she has actually rendered a figurative slap on him anyway. My only wish is for him to relieve Sona of any promise and then give up on her.
DeleteAnother occassion coming up at IN. Decorations galore.
ReplyDeleteProbably Dev's engagement. Just have a feeling Dev is finally going to get engaged this time.
He needs a taste of his own medicine.
He claims he loves Sona but does he know anything about her? Instead of working on her fears, this guy is resorting to J track.
That's exactly it. Dev doesn't know Sonakshi at all nor he cares to know her. All he cares is for Sonakshi to understand him, control him and chain him like his mother.
DeleteBut why would he care to know about Sonakshi? She never insisted on it. She has always bent over backwards for Bhaiya. So Bhaiya is taking advantage.
It's all on her, Gauri.
Dev never bothered to know Sonakshi because she never made it mandatory for him to be understanding. He always wanted Sonakshi to be understanding because that's the trend she has set.
DeleteEvery time he kicks her on her face, she comes crawling back. Every time he plays games, she starts jumping like a mindless puppet on strings.
What Maiya did to Bhaiya in season one, he had been doing to Sonakshi. But if she is a willing participant there, then that's her fault and no one else is to blame.
These days I'm not in agreement with Fuzion's Saheli.
ReplyDeleteWhy cant a single woman be friends with the father of her child? Why does it have to be more than that?
Bijoy is not delusional. He is going by what Sonakshi is telling him. Why will he think she'll lie to him after putting her hand on his head?Only bcoz she herself believes she wont be able to survive another shaky relationship with DevD.
And Asha, she understands as she is a mother...why the hell was she silent for 8 whole urs without trying to contact Dev once? Didnt she know Dev wud come running if he knew Sona was pregnant? What prevented this oh-so-sensible mother from interfering when now she had the audacity to go against Bijoy every other time?
The character dynamics are nothing but a farce. There are so many loopholes that its not even believable.
I don't agree with her these days either. It seems she has changed her writing style and analysing approach since she got death threats for calling out on Bhaiya.
DeleteI can understand that.
However, I am not at all scared to call out on Bhaiya, Behena, Asha or anyone else for that matter.
Bijoy is not delusional. His biggest fault is believing in his ungrateful daughter. But he will soon get verbally slapped by Sonakshi which will hurt him way more than the physical slap from Bhaiya. I hope he does what he did then. He should disown his daughter.
His daughter has the right to ruin her life. But as a father he has the right to refuse to be an audience.
I have seen a lot of douchebag male leads in Indian serials, but this character dev has aced it like never before. Why is it so difficult for the ML to try to be a MAN and try to win his lady? Why should the FL whine for him always? Every single women in this show is expected to understand his ML's point of view, but he won't lift a finger.
ReplyDeleteI guess I will never understand why these douchebags and manhandling swines in Indian shows are hyped so much. A gentleman is just a mirage these days in Indian shows...
Yep. I agree. You see, for some reason, douche bags sell on tv because the show makers tell the audience that those douche bags are heroes. In real life, they don't sell because no one points out that they are hero of any story.
DeleteIf the show maker hadn't mentioned that Bhaiya was a hero, I'd think that hero hasn't entered yet in the frame.
There had been so many discussion over this; who was responsible for everything that happened pre leap. And there were two POVs that never sat well with me - that dev and Sona were equally responsible for separation and that it was entirely their fault(and not Ishwari's fault) as they were supposed to save their relationship. I have always felt Dev was way more to blame than Sona and Ish also played a very juicy part in it.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time, I feel like Dev and Sonakshi are equally at fault for everything happening right now. And now people are saying it is entirely Sona's fault?!! I don't get it!!!
I really liked you write up today Tia. And that is something I have always resonated with. Jealousy works when you need someone to realize their love, not gain trust. This makes no sense. Obviously, we know where the show is going. Sona, in a fit of rage and jealousy, will shout that she loves Dev. Bcz this is a cliche Indian show. Realistically, that would never happen. Personally, even I internalize a lot of my feelings. I need time to sort my emotions out and even more time decide to take a risk. And when someone tries to rush me, it doesn't result in me bursting out. Rather, it makes me go in my shell even more and sort of detach myself from everything.
Agree with ur POV Mauli. Its somehow always that Sonakshi has to take 150% more blame for anything than Dev. Even I dont get it...and I'm pretty sure I'll die not getting it...LOL
DeleteLol, same here... Frankly, I am glad that I am so "naive" that I don't understand the deep, complex reasons as to why Sonakshi is always at fault. I lack the wisdom to "analyze" the show correctly. But I am happy with my "feminist" outlook as to why this show has let me down so many times in so many ways.
DeleteI absolutely agree with you Mauli. Some people, specially introvert people like Sonakshi don't like to be pushed until they are ready to face the reality. Just because suddenly Ishwari decided that Dev needs to get married and Bhaiya has decided now suddenly he wants a life partner, Asha and Elena expect Sonakshi to jump to be that life partner whether she wants to be married to anyone or not. May be she likes her freedom. May be she doesn't want to get back with a man whom she no longer trusts.
DeleteWhen Sonakshi was ready for marriage, I didn't see Bhaiya or his mother jumping through hoops to accommodate her wish. Why should she has to accommodate them now just because suddenly after years of philandering Bhaiya wants to be a family man?
I completely agree. You can use jealousy to find out if there are any feelings like love. But you can't use jealousy to win trust. In fact, jealousy will actually chip away trust.
Ladies...we should stop analysing or thinking about story. This story is not for us. This track specially dedicated to samanalysis thread people. It is going exact way those people wanted. Big congrats to them. Also whole Twitter is happy seeing daughter blaming doting father.
ReplyDeleteNow I am not paying attention to story. If possible I skip or I
Am Just assuming sharica..and their acting.
But I wish I could hear from makers reason behind this 360 degree turn...
We all want that, Pramila...
DeleteThis show has, yet again, proven why Indian TV shows are still not for those people who don't entertain the typical Indian mentality.
Because this show is made in India where a girls' family exists to only produce the girl and keep their head down in shame for giving birth to a girl. Then they pay for their crime by giving dowry, worshipping the family who do them favour by taking their liability in their home.
DeleteNow this father not only raised his daughter with as much opportunity as his son, but also supported her in everyone of her decision which turned out to be a wrong decision. He never left her side. He fought for her. He hated the people who made her cry. He has to pay the price for it. He must be hanged till death for treating his daughter better than most people treat their son.
