Tia's Thread - Execution!!!
In one of my previous writings, I had talked about intentions. Today I will talk about the execution of process.
I had said that good intentions doesn't give a free pass if someone uses unethical process to obtain a good result. But wrong process also doesn't justify good intention and good end results.
For every task, there are three steps to follow.
1. Motive and Goals - Before planning any task, we need to know why do we need to perform a task aka motive and what do we want to achieve by performing the task aka goal. You can also call it intention and aim.
2. Process - Then we need to determine and execute a certain process to achieve the goal.
3. End Result - Combined with the first two, we get to the end result.
I can give an example.
Say, there are three people - A, B and C. All of them wants to pass an exam.
A wants to pass the exam so that he can get a good job and spend money on himself. He cheats but still fails the exam.
B wants to pass the exam because he has a family to support and he wants to get a good job so passing this exam is a necessity for him. He cheats on the exam and passes the exam.
C wants to pass the exam because he likes to study. He studies sincerely and very hard but fails the exam.
Now let's analyse them.
A had a good intention (although slightly selfish), but he followed the wrong process and ended up failing the exam.
B had a good intention, he followed the wrong process but ended up passing the exam.
C had a good intention, followed the right process too, but ended up failing the exam.
Out of these three, whom would you trust?
If this was up to me, I will pick C. Why? Because to be a trustworthy person, you need to have integrity and honesty.
C had good intention, followed the right way. He still failed, but that doesn't take away his honest and sincere attempt. He can continue to try and one day he will succeed. But because he didn't cheat and did everything the right way, he will succeed where the other two failed. He has something far superior than a mark sheet. He has character.
So if knowing all these, I was hiring someone as my trusted aid, I will pick C.
B had good intention, may be the best intention of all three, but because his process is wrong, I can't trust him to not take the wrong approach the next time to achieve his goal. And although this time he passed, it doesn't mean that the wrong process won't catch up to him one day and he won't get caught in compromising position. This B, is Sonakshi.
A had a good intention too, but he also cheated and ended up failing his exam. Because his good intention couldn't justify his wrong process and end result. This A, is Bhaiya.
In my opinion, a successful effort combines good intention and the right process. The end result might be a temporary success thanks to the wrong process, but does our conscience and morality justify a wrong process to achieve the right result?
Can we take a shortcut like cheating, snooping, lying, sneaking, stealing etc. to get successful result and believe that we achieved something worthwhile?
If we can't then the process is as important as the end result.
EPISODE: The episode starts with Mamaji and Ishwari are sitting on the dining table. Mamaji is hungry. He is wondering if food is coming.
Ishwari says that she has asked Jassi to bring food.
Mamaji thinks that if Jassi is bringing food, then he will go hungry.
Ishwari says that she told Jassi what he knows best. She told him to make Pumpkin (Kaddu is pumpkin I think) and poori (fried bread).
Mamaji is excited for that.
But Jassi brings something else.
Ishwari asks him what is that?
Mamaji says that he has became like his English madam (Radha). He hears something, does something else.
Ishwari scolds him too if he didn't hear her instructions.
Sonakshi comes there and asks what happened to Mamaji. Why he is getting angry so early in the morning.
Mamaji complaints about the food. He says that Jassi didn't make what he was asked to make.
Sonakshi says: Actually Mamaji, I told Jassi bhai to make it.
Mamaji is like oh. Unfortunately he can't piss off Sonakshi now that she is VIP.
Sonakshi rushes to kitchen to make alternative food.
Ishwari holds her hands and stops her. She tells Mamaji that he was scolding Jassi for no reason. It's all Sonakshi's fault.
Mamaji says sorry to Jassi and says he will scold Sonakshi instead.
Sonakshi stammers sorry.
Mamaji says: You could have done something else. You could have told us yesterday that you were making us diet today. I could have ate two extra samosas.
Ishwari laughs: He is right.
Sonakshi says: Okay I will make something else.
Ishwari holds her hand: No. Since you made it, we will eat it.
Sonakshi says: Sure you will eat it?
They eat the food and it's not so bad.
Me: The equation between Sonakshi, Ishwari and Mamaji were much more comfortable. It was more like the equation Nikki used to have with Ishwari and Mamaji. That proves that despite being annoying, Sonakshi has been accepted as a daughter and not a daughter-in-law.
That being said, if my son marries a nutritionist dictator like Sonakshi, and she screws with my food, they are both out of my will.
Everyone gotta die. I wanna die happy and well-fed sucking on chocolate, not munching on carrot.
Mamaji says: Ishwari, this reminded me of old days.
Ishwari says: Yes, she used to make salads and feed me and the girls used to...
She gets sad and pauses.
Mamaji says: Yes. Do you remember? It used to be chaos on dining table. Everyone wanted their favourite food. And Riya used to complaint the most. And Nikki was the naughtiest.
Ishwari thinks about the past.
She says: Riya and Neha were still understanding, they used to eat up whatever was served. They are both managing their homes so probably doing fine. But Nikki used to be the pampered one. I don't know how she is managing.
Sonakshi thinks.
Me: And Wonder Woman got her new mission locked in. She claimed that she didn't even want to stay apart from Bhaiya for even a moment. So far I saw her around Bhaiya only for a moment. Rest of the time she is busy in her Mrs. Fix-it job.
At Bose house, the publisher brought the first copy of Asha's book.
He says to Bijoy: This book has everything. How you used to be her neighbour, how used to peek through the window and how you never used to stop following her.
Bijoy is surprised: One minute. I was not her neighbour.
The publisher laughs: Bijoyji, I know. The handsome neighbour in her book is you. In fact, she has made you even more handsome.
He gets up and leaves.
Me: Is this book auto-biography or fiction? If this is auto-biography, then Asha would have distinguished this character from future husband if they are two different people. If this is fiction, then there is no reason to assume that the neighbour could be any real person. What kind of publisher is confused about genre of literature he himself published?
Bijoy on the other hand is suspicious.
He asks Asha: Asha, did you have a neighbour?
Asha says: Yes, not one but many. I hardly lived in jungle.
Bijoy says: Look, don't twist my words. I was talking about this handsome neighbour.
Asha says: Look, this is a fiction. Then the neighbour would also be imaginary naa?
She leaves. Bijoy calls after her.
Me: Bijoy, read the book and find out. Besides, why are you being hyper over a imaginary/past character? You need a new hobby too. Take up one.
Sonakshi comes to her room and sees Bhaiya is getting the kids ready for school. She asks what is Bhaiya doing.
Soha says that Papa is getting them ready.
Sonakshi says that she can see that but why?
Golu answers: Because we have to go to school.
Sonakshi says: Dev, there is no need to do this.
Bhaiya: It is needed, Sonakshi. You know, when I woke up this morning, everything was in place. My towel was in place, laptop was in my bag, my phone was charged, clothes were neatly arranged, everything was there. I didn't have to do anything. And that didn't happen by magic. You did it. Then I will do something, no?
Bhaiya looks at the kids. Suhana and Golu nod vigorously.
Me: Bhai wah!!! Taliya (applause). Bhaiya, finally you are on track. See, how everything happens on time when two people work together? Nice to see you are improving leaps and bounds everyday as a husband. Not only you noticed what was done, you gave credit to the person who did it and didn't assume elf did everything and also now you are willing to do your fair share. Excellent. Here's a pat for your back.
And the lesson your daughter and nephew are learning today, Bhaiya is that a good husband is considerate to his wife. He acknowledges her efforts and does his fair share of chores. The home doesn't belong to one person, it's both of theirs. So the chores should also be shared fairly so that they can both spend time together instead of one person working all the time and the other lazing on the couch.
Trust me, they will both have higher standard in the future. Golu will be a better life partner and Soha will not settle for any less than this since they both idealises you.
Sonakshi says again: Dev...
Bhaiya says: You go and do your work and if you have no work, then chill.
Sonakshi protests: Dev, I will do this.
Bhaiya says: Sonakshi, I said no. Now no more words. Go from here.
Sonakshi whines: Dev.
Bhaiya: Sonakshi or you will get punished. You will have to be a chicken.
Sonakshi is shocked: Chicken?
Kids laugh.
Bhaiya: Yes, chicken. Now scoot.
He gets busy again.
Sonakshi makes faces behind his back: Okay. Mr. Dev Dixit.
She smiles and leaves.
Bhaiya tells Golu: Golu, tell your BigChi naa. She keeps pretending to be Wonder Woman everyday. Tell her to chill a little.
Golu: No problem. We will teach her how to chill.
Soha says: Papa, you can try. But Mamma is like this. She is Wonder Woman every day for me.
Bhaiya laughs: Really?
Sonakshi sees them from the door and smiles.
Bhaiya takes the kids to school (I think).
Me: It was a cute family scene. But yes, Sonakshi. Give your Wonder Woman persona a rest and let Bhaiya share some of the chores. I mean how will this family feel like his if he is watching from the sidelines cheering for you while you keep scoring goals? Let him participate and work together. Trust me, I am speaking for experience. It's much more fun when two people work together than one person doing everything. Marriage is a partnership, not a solo act.
But Sonakshi being Sonakshi, what does she do with her spare time? Yes, goes through Ishwari's wardrobe in her room.
Me: This is where my little write up comes in. I have a big problem with people who goes through someone's personal space behind their back.
Sonakshi has good intention. But there is a right way and a wrong way to do something.
Wrong way is what she is doing in Ishwari's absence without her knowledge.
And right way is simply hiring a private investigator and getting him to locate all the information for Riya, Neha and Nikki.
Now you might say what's the difference. The difference is that the PI would try to locate only contact information of the three girls since that's what he was assigned to do. Most likely, he will try to get the information from driving license, credit cards companies, banks or Govt. database.
But here, other than the three girls' information, Sonakshi has to read every paper or document Ishwari has which may or may not be something she'd want to share with anyone.
Specially since Ishwari has trusted her, this is a misuse of that trust. She could also ask Ishwari that she'd like to contact the girls so if she has any contact information, if she'd share with Sonakshi.
Considering how Ishwari is now no. 1 cheerleader for Sonakshi, she might willingly give her the information she has. But what Sonakshi did was invasion of privacy. Not to mention misusing Ishwari's trust on her.
Anyhoo, she finds Riya's contact no. She notes down Riya's phone no. She was about to leave when Elena finds her. Just like when she snooped in Ishwari's absence, Radha caught her.
Elena asks her: Sona, what are you doing here?
Sonakshi stammers: Actually, Maa gave me some work...
She could not meet Elena's eyes.
Me: See that, Sonakshi? When you do something wrong, your conscience knows no matter how much you deny. Today, your younger cousin saw you going through your mother-in-law's wardrobe. Do you think you will ever be able to lecture her on right or wrong when you can't even meet her eyes?
Elena says: If Buaji had given you any work, you won't have been stammering. I know you from childhood and I know this look on your face. Tell me what you are fixing.
Sonakshi is shocked to hear Elena hit the bulls eye with her.
Me: See? That means, in your crusade to fix things, you used to take the wrong way, disregard other people's wishes and just went on to be the hero. And since it's making you feel ashamed and guilty, you also very well know that the process you took is wrong. Today Elena caught you doing such a low act. What if it was Soha or Golu? What if it was Dev, your husband caught you going through his mother's wardrobe in her absence? What if it was Ishwari herself? Could you ever look into their eyes again?
Sonakshi says: Elena, I am trying to fix my family. I want to bring Riya, Neha and Nikki back in this home. I want to complete my family.
Elena says: Sona, you remember, naa that when you tried to help Neha didi, what happened? In your attempt to bring everyone closer, you yourself went away. You want to take this risk again?
Sonakshi: I know that this happened. But this time it won't happen. I can do this much for my family, no? I trust my family.
Elena: But Sona, why only you? You and Dev bhai just started this relationship again. Why do you want to get involved in all this?
Sonakshi: Elena, because I was guilty too in all these.
Elena: Sonakshi, I don't know why you want to do this or if you get anything from all this. The rest is up to you.
Sonakshi: I am not worried for me.
Elena leaves exasperated.
Me: I disagree, Sonakshi. You and Bhaiya both broke up. You didn't push away your family. Even until you found out that you were pregnant, you had been taking care of your family. Bhaiya was the one who could not manage and his sisters were the one who could not for once be the one to take care of their brothers instead of needing him to be the caretaker. This is not your fault.
But Elena is also right. You should first fix your relationship. Whatever awkwardness, confusion, hesitation there is still, needs to be removed first.
Then you have to include Bhaiya and Ishwari in your plan and discuss with them if they'd support you. If you really had trust on your family, Sonakshi, like you claimed, you won't have gone behind their back. The reason you went behind their back is because you are hoping that if you are successful, they will be so happy that the process and the going behind their back won't matter.
So you are not as confident about them as you are claiming by choosing to take the wrong approach.
Sonakshi calls Riya still standing in Ishwari's room.
Riya picks up the phone.
Sonakshi says: Riya, I am Sonakshi. May be you didn't recognise me...
Riya says: I recognised you very well. Where did you get my number? And look if you found my number, please don't call me again.
Sonakshi: But Riya, please listen to me...
Riya: I said, naa. I don't want to talk to you. Please don't ever call me again.
Riya hangs up the phone.
Sonakshi is shocked.
Me: And twice as determined to get Riya to like her. I bet you.
In the meanwhile, Riya calls Ishwari.
Ishwari asks how is she.
Riya says: Look, Maa. I didn't call you to ask about your well being.
Ishwari says: If you don't ask about my well being, it won't get better. But at least you get satisfaction of knowing that in the crowd of the world there is someone who cares.
Riya says: Who is close and who is far, I very well know. I didn't call you to talk about this. I want to know how did Sonakshi got my number and why did she call me?
Ishwari says: Riya, Sonakshi and Dev... Sonakshi has come back in our lives. She came back home.
Riya: What?
Ishwari: Dev also wants this. She has forgiven us, Riya.
Riya: Maa, look. I never did anything wrong with her. So she didn't need to forgive me. And when it comes to you, it's your and her matter how your relationship should be. And if anyone should ask for forgiveness, it's Dev bhaiya.
Ishwari: Riya, you should not speak like that. Beta, he is elder brother to all three of you. How long will you be angry with him?
Riya: May be our whole life. Maa, you remember? When Sonakshi bhabhi left him, he forgot that he had three sisters. Now I have forgotten that I have a brother.
Ishwari: Riya, no. This is not so. He didn't forgot you three.
Riya: Maa, you remember, naa? Bhaiya was not even there on my wedding day.
Ishwari: Riya, that's how relationship works. People who give their whole heart in a relationship, they sometimes have to shed tears too. Everyone makes mistakes no? But we are still a family. But we should forgive each other. And you know, Dev will call you very soon and ask for forgiveness very soon as well. I know it Dev has changed, Riya. Our old Dev has returned.
Riya feels bad and has tears in her eyes. But she still says: Maa, why should I care who returns to that home? I went away. And I remember the day I was going away, my big brother wasn't there. Bhaiya didn't even call us three sisters. He didn't even try to find out if we were alive or not.
Ishwari says: Riya, you should not say this.
Riya: Maa, you know what? I think that Neha di was absolutely right. You just care about Dev bhai's happiness. Today Dev bhai is happy, so you are liking everything.
Ishwari: You come here, once. Just once. And you will realise everything.
Riya: Maa, please. I am happy in my life. So I don't want to come there. You just tell Sonakshi not to call me again. I am hanging the phone.
Riya hangs up the phone.
Ishwari talks to herself: How long will she stay angry? Sonakshi truly came home and took her responsibility. She called Riya means she must have called Neha and Nikki too. I kept trying and lost. Maybe Sonakshi will fix everything.
Me: Ishwari truly started to believe Sonakshi to be the modern day saviour. Good for her. As long as the results keep coming, she will be happy.
About Riya, her anger is justified. Bhaiya didn't come to her wedding. But what did she do for Bhaiya? Did she do anything? Did she fulfil a sister's responsibility when her brother is heartbroken?
Sonakshi saved her from a man who was about to use her to get to Bhaiya's wealth while he already had a girlfriend. Bhaiya made sure that guy never dares to approach Riya. What did she do? These three sisters could have been the anchor to hold him together.
But in this house, Bhaiya took care of everyone, no one took care of him. Sonakshi tried to take care of him, but at that time Ishwari didn't let her. But when Sonakshi left and Bhaiya's trust finally broke on Ishwari, he had nothing to hold him together.
When we are broken, our family works like glue and pieces us back together. But when family expects a broken person to fix them, how can they expect him to continue to perform the same way?
At Bose house, Bijoy is pacing.
Asha asks him to ask what does he want to ask, he should and stop pacing around.
Bijoy asks about the neighbour and asks him who he was, what did he used to do etc. as per her novel. He doesn't like tram stamped romeos.
Asha responds: Really? You were also one of those tram stamped romeos.
Bijoy: There is a difference between me and those tram stamped romeos.
Asha asks: Really? What's the difference between you two?
Bijoy says: The difference is that I used to buy ticket before riding trams. They don't buy tickets. But why are we discussing that? Why don't you tell me?
Asha: I have written this book with a lot of effort. Read it to know whatever you need to know.
Bijoy: I can't read your book. I can't imagine you with that man... Wait a minute.
Saurabh comes there.
Bijoy: Saurabh, have you read Asha's book?
Saurabh: Yes. I read two pages.
Bijoy: Just two pages? Did you read that chapter?
Saurabh: Which chapter?
Bijoy gets pissed off: Never mind. I will read it on my own.
He stomps off upstairs.
Saurabh looks at Asha who was hiding her laughter: I came here to do work. But now I forgot what work. And what is in the book? What is he talking about?
Asha says: Read it yourself.
Me: Methinks Asha wants all of them to read her book so this was a trick she used. But really Bijoy. You were trying to sneak a peek of her book. Now it got published and you are not reading it. What is this?
If I write even an article in local Durga Puja magazine, my whole family reads it. It's called family support.
Sonakshi is waiting for Bhaiya. He comes with tea/coffee/whatever in a cup.
Sonakshi asks: Why did we come here?
Bhaiya says: Questions, questions. You just keep on asking questions. Look around for a moment.
Sonakshi: What do I see? It's dark everywhere.
Bhaiya: Exactly Miss Bose.
Sonakshi: It's Mrs. Dixit for you.
Bhaiya: Yes, Mrs. Dixit. You wanted to know naa what happened in my life in the past 7 years? I said naa, that there was no light in my life, just darkness. Get it?
Sonakshi: I understand. I didn't call Neha and Riya to make you angry or hurt.
Bhaiya: That did not happen either.
Sonakshi: You aren't angry?
Bhaiya: No.
Sonakshi: Maa?
Bhaiya: Not at all.
Sonakshi: Thank God, I thought you two will get angry.
Bhaiya: Think if I was that kind of husband?
Sonakshi looks at him.
Bhaiya: Wait a minute. I was exactly that kind of husband.
Sonakshi laughs.
Me: Aha... Bhaiya, you are totally giving me the first 150 episode type feels here. Such a marked improvement.
Sonakshi says: I think that when you keep things in standby mode, it stops working. And in the list of such things, relationship is on the top.
Bhaiya: Sonakshi, the thing is that relationship doesn't restart that easily. It must not have been easy for you to talk to them. After all, they are Dev Dixit's sisters. They are stubborn like me. But you still tried. It was my fault. If you lose in this, don't take it personally. The mistakes were mine but it's possible that you end up paying for them.
Sonakshi asks: So what do you want? Should I give up on them? Did you give up?
Bhaiya: No Sonakshi, how can I give up on them? They are my sisters. I love them. But they have left me. I don't think they want to come back in my life.
Sonakshi: Do you not want them back in your life?
Bhaiya: I also never want you to lose. You always win. But that is not possible. May be this night has no morning.
Sonakshi: Then let's stand here and see if the darkness goes away or not. So what if Neha and Riya didn't talk to me? Nikki is close to me. I will go see Nikki.
Bhaiya: You are not planning to make me meet them, no? You aren't planning to make me take with you, no?
Sonakshi: What do you think? I will put you in front of them without telling either one of you? Think if I was that kind of wife? Wait a minute. I am that kind of wife.
Bhaiya laughs: I am so lucky, no?
Sonakshi: Not more than me.
Bhaiya smiles and drinks his whatever.
Me: Yep. Bhaiya is the kind who comes to the party after everything is arranged and the party is in full swing with a polite hello and sorry for being late and Sonakshi is the kind who thinks everything is fixable when you hide information and spring it on people as surprise. Match made in fixer upper heaven.
But one question. If that place has darkness galore, where did Bhaiya get fancy cup of whatever? Thela to kabhi fancy cup mein whatever serve nehin karta.
(Roadside stalls don't serve whatever on fancy cup)
At Bose house, Bijoy is riffling through the pages.
Asha asks: What are you doing? Who reads a book like that?
Bijoy says: I am looking for the chapter where you wrote about him.
Asha: You won't find it like this.
Bijoy: Means?
Asha: Because that chapter doesn't exist. I will hardly put all beautiful memories in one chapter. To make this book interesting, I wrote all these in every chapter a little bit.
Bijoy: Not a little, more and more you put in there.
Asha smiles: You are so cute, Bijoy.
Bijoy: Cute? Sweet memories?
He again gets into the book.
Me: I am more and more convinced that Asha wants him to read the book so she has put the bait. Now all that is left is for Bijoy to swallow it and read the book front to back.
At Dixit house, Bhaiya and Sonakshi are sitting on the garden. Sonakshi in her swing and Bhaiya on the grass leaning against a leafy pillar.
They both say together: Aren't you sleepy?
They both laugh.
Sonakshi asks: Shotti?
Bhaiya says: Yes.
Sonakshi: Or are you lying like you had said before?
Bhaiya: Which day?
Me: See? When you say too much lies, you lose track of which one.
Sonakshi: The day we watched Apur Sansaar? You fell asleep in the middle and woke up to say that you watched the whole movie.
Me: CVs, not Aaapu, it's Apu, pronounces O-poo. And not Sanskaar, it's Sansaar like sansar. Why don't you CVs utilise multiple bongs on the set including Asha and Dida?
Bhaiya: Oh like when I played Gurdaas Maan and you said that you understood the lyrics.
Sonakshi: Apur Sansar is Ray's classic film.
Bhaiya: You want to say that Gurdaas Maan is nothing in front of Ray?
Sonakshi: Okay fine. I still don't understand the lyrics though.
Bhaiya: And I can't watch that film in English, let alone in Bengali.
Sonakshi: But I will show Soha all films of Ray.
Bhaiya: And I will make Soha listen all songs of Gurdaas Maan.
Sonakshi smiles and says: Okay.
Me: And this is how you raise a multi cultured child. This is how I will raise my children. They will know all Bengali/Indian classics and English classics.
Bhaiya thinks about something.
Sonakshi asks: What are you thinking?
Bhaiya says: I am thinking that people lie so much.
Sonakshi asks: Now which lie?
Bhaiya: No, people say love makes everything pink. Everything looks rosy. You are so happy.
Sonakshi asks: Then you are not happy?
Bhaiya: I am very happy. But there is a fear to lose the person whom I love.
Sonakshi holds his shoulder: Neither I will get lost nor will I let you lose yourself. I promise.
Bhaiya smiles.
Sonakshi says: And whatever you have lost in the past seven years, I will bring them back too. At least I will try.
Bhaiya: No, no.
Sonakshi: What no, no?
Bhaiya: You don't always have to be Wonder Woman. You can sometimes be my woman too.
Sonakshi: Oooo my woman? Okay. I like it.
Bhaiya: You like it?
Sonakshi: Yes.
Bhaiya: Usually you don't react like this in such situations. You used to say that my woman? Women aren't properties. Something like that.
Me: Ah, Bhaiya. That's what pseudo convenient feminists say. A real feminists say that if I am your woman, you are my man. That's equality. I am glad you brought up feminism because you need to know the difference between misandry and feminism.
Misandry is when people think women are superior to men. Feminism is when people think that men and women are equal in every sense.
My husband sometimes calls me, woman when I irritate him and when I do something special, he says, I am so proud to call you my wife.
I don't mind that. I am his. And he is mine. I own as much as his heart as he owns mine.
My body is no one's property. My heart is freely given. And whoever owns my heart, owns me. But I don't do one sided trade. If I am giving my heart and hence ownership over me, I don't settle less than the whole heart and full ownership.
That's feminism which actually means equality for ignorant.
Sonakshi says: Because now I know that you don't teat me like your property, but treat me as your priority, your life partner.
Bhaiya: When did you became so understanding?
Sonakshi: I used to be ignorant before. But now I am a mother, a woman. I am not hopeless romantic.
Bhaiya: And what I am?
Sonakshi: You are my man, my partner and my priority.
Bhaiya smiles: Perfect.
Sonakshi: Just perfect.
Bhaiya leans on Sonakshi.
Me: And that's marriage. Two people who are each other's partner and first priority. It's a two way street. You can't have one person being the top priority of another and the other falling bottom of the list. Finally their relationship are on equal balance.
Next morning Bhaiya is getting Sona and Golu prepared for school.
Sonakshi comes there instucting Jassi: Boil everything and don't put too much ghee on them.
She hands over lunch to Soha and Golu.
Ishwari sees them with a big smile.
Mamaji also joins Ishwari to watch them getting both the kids ready.
Soha asks about notebook. Sona puts it in her bag.
Bhaiya is putting tie on Golu.
Golu says: If I take my notebook, I will get scolded. I will say that notebook got lost.
Sonakshi says sternly: Golu...
Bhaiya hurriedly says: Okay, I will make him do his homework. Then he will take notebook, okay?
Sonakshi says: No need. I will make him do homework.
Soha says: Yes, Mamma. You make Golu's notebook into fun book.
Golu: Really?
Sona: Of course. You will see.
Golu: We will see.
Sona laughs: You will see tonight.
Mamaji tells Ishwari: Now this home feels like home.
Ishwari smiles and nods.
Me: Yep, your useless son and daughter-in-law are no where to be found as usual.
Sonakshi gets Soha and Bhaiya gets Golu and they go to living room from the garden where Ishwari was standing with Mamaji.
She caress the kids.
Bhaiya says: Maa, we are taking them to school.
Ishwari says yes.
Bhaiya and Sonakshi rush out with the kids.
Ishwari thinks.
Mamaji asks: What are you thinking?
Ishwari says: I am thinking that God has heard my prayer. Dev got Sonakshi back, his happiness back. My family is complete. See, how they are fulfilling their responsibilities together.
Mamaji says: It's very good, Ishwari. The dream you had, came true.
Ishwari smiles.
Me: This was a typical family scene. I am really enjoying them. They are very soothing to watch.
I have no doubt that since Sonakshi has taken over Golu's upbringing, he will also turn into a good student like Soha. If Bhaiya takes over play time and Sonakshi the study time, they will grow up as well adjusted adults. May be then Golu won't even remember his neglected childhood.
I think in a way it's good that Vicky and Elena show no interest in Golu. If they take up Golu's responsibility today and then neglect him tomorrow, Golu will become even more confused and heart broken.
I also think Sonakshi and Dev should adopt Golu. Frankly, I don't see the need to Vicky and Elena even claim to have any child.
PRECAP: Ishwari calls Sonakshi. She says: Sonakshi, I wanted to ask you if you had talked to Nikki at all.
Sonakshi thinks.
I am not sure if it was a flashback, but Sonakshi is seen ringing a door bell and a grown up, stylish Nikki opens the door.
Sonakshi smiles big. But Nikki looks confused/surprised.
NO RULES!!! YAY!!!
NO RULES!!! YAY!!!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing more for me to say as you have already mentioned here :) thanks Tia !!!
Keep writing these posts :)
Thank you, Neeraja. :)
DeleteYes Tia. The episode was happy one.
ReplyDeleteI was happy over most scenes.
Elina is never thr for Golu but loved how Sona took over his studies.
The 4 look so sweet as a family. But I dont know whts with their marital status yet and I'm not sure u call urself mrs.dixit without sindoor/mangalsutra in India? Even if you're a businesswoman.
Except small confusions. I'm happy with the epi. Actually loved the scenes of Dev-Sona, Boses. Sweet and cute.
Same with me. I am utterly confused about their marital status too. I am right now imagining that they are now just living together. That not-divorced blooper was just to pacify sanskari audience and save wedding celebration money.
DeleteBy the way, Happy Rathyatra. I believe you must be celebrating.
Gauri. I am Indian and I call myself married and I never wear sindoor and mangalsutra. All my relatives do but i don't. It is not a big deal these days. And before you ask i am Hindu brahman from north.
Delete@Tia. Thanks. Yes we celebrated.
DeleteFestive season on. Patnaik's celebrated too on Sunday.
@JShukla. Thanks for letting me know. Thot its important for people from north. Sindoor/mangalsutra.
