Tia's Thread - Expectations!!!
Every relationship comes with a certain expectations based on their roles and responsibilities.
And eventually we learn by trials and error which expectations are valid and which one will never come true.
In that case, we learn to keep our expectations or we modify them and compromise.
Expectations are of two kinds.
One sets of expectations are must have. Like we expect our life partner to be faithful. For most of us, that's non-negotiable. Yet, some people put up with a cheating partner for whatever reasons.
The other sets of expectations are good to have. Like if we'd expect our life partners to enjoy a certain activity which enjoy like running. However, that's not an expectations which might break a relationship for most of us. But for people who are serious runners, it might be a deal breaker.
So even must have and good to have expectations switch places based on our own preferences, personalities and level of tolerance.
However, what happens when among the two sets of expectations, the must haves are not met, but people compromise anyway?
It results in dissatisfaction, bitterness and it festers until it colours every single area of their life. That bitterness spills over other relationships, career, hobbies, or general sense of peace of mind.
Have you ever wondered, why some people are always nasty to others and can't speak good of anyone? Look deeper and you will see that they are very unhappy people in their life.
Because happy people don't hurt others. They are themselves so content and satisfied with their lives that they don't want to ruin their mood by ruining others' mood.
The reason I brought this topic because Sonakshi is going to repeat what she did in season one again in season two. She is again compromising on her MUST HAVE expectations where she wanted a life partner who stands by her and supports her. Bhaiya will never be that guy.
Like season one, Dev made no personal effort to win her back (worse, this time he hurt an innocent woman by leading her on).
Like season one, despite him warning Ishwari, she went to Sonakshi and used emotional blackmail.
Like season one, Sonakshi came running like a moron.
So it stands to reason that season one ending will be repeated in near future even if the show ends soon.
Because although Ishwari has changed and she now likes Sonakshi, but the most important equation has not changed.
And that is between Sonakshi and Dev. They are exactly as they were in season one.
Dev still never takes any honest approach and he still takes the easiest and the shortest route where he doesn't have to do anything himself. Most of the time, it's the least ethical and moral route.
Sonakshi still has a major weakness on Dev which clouds her judgement of right and wrong. I will call it a weakness because had it been her strength, she'd have expected Dev to do exactly what she did - win over her family instead of putting pressure on them to expect him because she is weak and pathetic.
However, no matter what, she can't keep her nose out of others' business. So if tomorrow Neha comes back with her problem, Sonakshi will definitely poke her nose there. Ishwari will react predictably, Bhaiya will repeat his behaviour and Sonakshi will be back to square one.
Why?
Because Sonakshi never let the foundation of their relationship solidify before running all over it in haste to jump into Bhaiya's arms.
And that's why, a slightest push, a little nudge and a huff and puff of a wolf breathing down their neck, they crumble like soda crackers.
That's the reality of their relationship.
And hence, we should also modify our expectations that we had been watching some great love story. We were actually watching the shallowest of physical attraction, wrapped into a shiny wrapper.
EPISODE: The episode starts with Bijoy calling Asha and asking her why did Ishwari come at their house.
Asha is surprised that Ishwari is there.
Bijoy asks her to tell him why Ishwari is there, otherwise he will send her away.
Asha warns him not to do anything of that sort.
Bijoy asks: Why won't I do it? This is my home and Sonakshi is my daughter. Why are you defending Ishwari? That means that you know why she is here. Tell me fast or I will throw her out.
Asha: There's no point telling you because you don't understand anything.
Bijoy: What do you mean I don't understand anything.
Asha: You just understand that Ishwariji went there for Sona. She is doing for Sona what may be even you won't be able to do for her.
Bijoy is shocked.
Me: No, Bijoy. Don't be shocked. Asha is right. Can you emotionally manipulate Sonakshi? Can you lie to her and hurt her to make sure she dances to your tunes? Can you teach her how to forget one's conscience and run after a worthless guy because he laus her and what he wants, he must get? Can you play games with another girl's life so that you can get another girl dance to your tunes? No? Well then, Asha is right.
Bijoy says: Asha, you are comparing me with that lady? And that too in the case of our Sona?
Asha: See? Your ego got hurt. Your ego is now bigger than your daughter's happiness.
Bijoy: You are crossing your limit, Asha.
Asha: Yes, I am. Because you have become so selfish that you can't see your daughter's happiness. You are just happy that Dev is getting engaged. But have you ever thought that if that happens then Dev will forever go away from Sonakshi's life. And if that happens Bijoy, then Sonakshi will go away from our life. Slowly we will loose her.
Bijoy is surprised.
Me: You don't speak on point Bijoy. Asha, I will speak on his behalf. The poor guy loves a selfish woman like you. But I have no problem speaking the truth.
Fact: Sonakshi and Dev got divorced 7 years ago. For all intent and purposes, that was when Dev went away from her life forever. During this time, he could might as well had got married and had another family. I didn't see Sonakshi particularly going away from you. If anything, she was during that time very loyal to you.
So that point is obviously a load of bull. I'd have believed that if Sonakshi had even blinked a single time watching Dev walk into a hotel room with Shruti or she was crying today as if someone has torn out her heart from her chest. So this recent overflowing lau has only shelf life until Dev is in front of her eyes. It's all about looks.
Fact: Bijoy is happy in Dev's engagement. But the arrangement was done by Ishwari, supported by you, arranged by Sonakshi and agreed by Dev. So Bijoy can be happy with the consequences. But he has absolutely nothing to do with your selfish plot of getting your daughter marital status updated. It's pretty clear who is the selfish one here.
Bijoy is not forcing anything on Sonakshi. Every single thing was her decision. He also didn't manipulate Dev. Everything he did is also his decision.
But the fact that you want your daughter to come and break another girl's marriage is all your selfishness. I wonder have you ever faced a mirror yourself?
Bijoy asks: Asha, why will we lose Sona? Dev will get married then all her problems will be solved, naa?
Asha: Her problem won't be solved. She will go away from our life. You failed in recognising your daughter's happiness Bijoy. You will always regret it. So be ready.
Bijoy hangs the phone.
Me: Really? Asha, I think all the fairy tales you had been sniffing has gone to your head. You really think if Bhaiya gets married, Sonakshi will pine away her life? Well then why didn't you used your wisdom to identify Sona's happiness seven years ago? Why did you make her suffer for seven years? And why try to arrange her wedding with just about any handy guy? Why didn't you try to brainwash Sona then when Soha was still young and could have had her father growing up?
But then, you were poor, homeless so needed the income. Now the money is settled, who wants the money earner now. Might as well make sure society sees you as mother of a married daughter. If that means, another mother will have to bear society's taunts for her daughter's marriage being broken, so be it. If that means another girl will be sad, so be it. That's not your headache. You just need your agenda fulfilled.
No wonder Bhaiya likes you, Asha. Your conscience is as non-existent as Bhaiya's.
Elena is pouring juice. Nisha comes to Elena.
She asks Elena: May I ask something? I mean Dev and Sonakshi...
She stammers.
Elena says: I understand your dilemma. No one could understand them. Welcome to our world.
Nisha says: Means what?
Elena says: I mean Dev and Sona are like this. Even we can't understand them. They can's stay together but living apart is impossible for them too.
Just then Radha and Vicky come there.
Radha stops Elena and says: Beta, you Bengalis explain everything differently, don't you? She means that they can't stay without fighting with each other. They are always fighting.
Vicky agrees: When Nisha comes in Dev's life. She will change it completely.
Radha agrees.
Nisha is shocked to hear contradictory information.
Me: Don't worry, darling. Just be happy that you don't have to be a part of this family where everyone has their own agenda. May be you, Natasha, Shruti etc can form a support club and name it "Dev Dixit Victims Association" where Bhaiya played with a girls' emotions, sometimes for money, then to pay back Sona, now to get back Sona. But he is the hero and Ayan is the villain. Remember that, okay?
Bijoy comes to Ishwari and asks: Today is your son's engagement, no? Then why are you here?
Ishwari cries: I just...
Then she is about to go, but turns back. She says: Before going, I'd like to tell you something. The place you are standing, I was also there 8 years ago. I was stubborn in my belief that I know my son's welfare better than everyone else. That day I lost my son. And today, I am losing Sonakshi. I just request you that don't lose your daughter in front of your stubbornness. It will cost you heavily.
Ishwari leaves.
Saurabh overhears everything.
Bijoy is thinking.
Me: Today, CVs decided to make Bijoy the scapegoat. As if he has put a leash around Sonakshi's neck. But let's see here.
Ishwari, let me tell you this, Bijoy was not the one who arranged your son's marriage like you had arranged Ritwik for Sonakshi.
Then Sonakshi made a choice which she fully intend to keep.
Today your son made a choice which he is not at all intending to keep.
Sonakshi at least tried to move on so she didn't blatantly lied to Ritwik.
Your son is blatantly lying to Nisha on her face.
When you wanted Sonakshi out of your son's life, you had no proof that Sonakshi any way makes your son unhappy. In fact you knew that Sonakshi makes your son happier than anyone.
Today when Bijoy wants your son out of Sonakshi's life, he has millions of proof when your son made Sonakshi very very unhappy and made her cry tears of blood. He has more proof of your son making his daughter unhappy than he has proof of your son ever making her happy.
So by all means, compare the situation. But compare apples with apples. Not apples with oranges or grapes.
Because this comparison is very unfair to both sides.
Saurabh comes to Bijoy: Baba, whatever Auntyji said is not wrong. Maa and Auntyji aren't wrong. You are wrong.
Bijoy: Don't try to make me understand. Have you all gone mad? You all have changed your mind after hearing that lady...
Saurabh: If we were wrong, you won't have been shouting at us. You are wrong and like always you are screaming to hide the truth.
Bijoy: I don't want to listen to you.
Saurabh: Baba, you are wrong. Whatever you do is wrong, you are always wrong. What was the need to give Sona your promise? Baba, please say sorry to Sona. One doesn't become small by saying sorry.
Me: Saurabh, could you clarify why and how he is wrong or are you like those people who say that someone is wrong but got no explanation to support their claims?
Also, Bijoy was peacefully leaving you all. Why didn't you stop Sonakshi from stopping him? Why didn't you tell Sonakshi that she is wrong for stopping someone who is always wrong? But then, she is the reason you got a voice today. You can hardly dare to talk to her the way you talk to the man who gave birth to you.
At the party, Radha brings back Nisha. Suddenly Soha wants to perform since she is learning dance.
Vicky objects. But Asha says to let her dance. She sends Nisha to sit by Bhaiya.
Golu winks at Soha.
Soha brings Elena and they dance together.
Nisha is watching performance and Bhaiya is watching the door.
Then Nisha notices where are Bhaiya's eyes.
She asks: Sonakshi didn't come yet.
Bhaiya pretends as if he doesn't care: Yes, I don't know. May be she won't come.
Then he smiles at Soha.
Me: Of course. If Sona doesn't come, he has to still get married no. Who lets the bird in hand go for the bird in the bush?
You know, there are some men and women (gender doesn't matter) who do exactly this in real life too. They know that they are in a relationship which doesn't mean anything to them. But instead of letting go of that relationship so that they can find their life partner, they remain in the relationship because they don't want to be single.
But at the same time, they keep looking for someone better to come along and the moment someone better (according to them) agrees to be with them, they dump the previous ones who by that time might have wasted years and years of their life thinking this relationship is forever.
Now take a look at Bhaiya. He could have come clean at any point to Nisha. But he is behaving as if he doesn't care about Sonakshi. If he really wanted an escape route open, he would have given sufficient hints to Nisha. But instead he is behaving as if there is nothing wrong.
Now if Sonakshi comes and declares her love, what he will say? That sorry, I was lying to your face? I was actually keeping you as option 2? How insulting is that?
Asha is pacing outside. Ishwari comes there.
Ishwari says: I went to Sonakshi. I told her everything, but still I could not bring her with me. I could not wipe off her pain. I am sorry.
Asha: No, no. Ishwariji. It's not your fault. Whatever you could have done, you did it. Now we can't do anything else beyond it. May be happiness is not in our children's fate.
Me: Talk about yourself, Asha. I am pretty sure Bhaiya can find ways to be happy.
Besides, you two are such a big moron. Sonakshi wasn't hurt because of what Ishwari did or didn't do. She was hurt because what Bhaiya did or didn't do. How will you guys going begging there help?
Bhaiya needs to make the damn effort.
Oh wait, sorry. That's for normal women who has some self-worth. Sorry. Scratch that. I am sure what you guys are doing are fine.
Asha says: When I heard that you went there, I thought Sonakshi will come with you.
Elena comes there. She says: No mashi, your expectations were wrong. In fact, not only yours, we all made mistakes by expecting anything from Sona. She has changed. She doesn't think about anyone else except herself. Her heart has become of stone. She has no feelings.
Me: Regressive queens are all in one frame.
Asha, last time I checked, a woman comes to her husband's home holding his hand, not her mother-in-law's hand. So the fact Ishwari won't be able to bring Sona, specially when that said supposedly lover is getting engaged to someone else, is kind of an idiotic expectations. May be more applicable to women who don't think twice before breaking other people's marriages.
Elena, you are talking of feelings? The woman who never even looked back to check what happened to her family who were thrown out on the street to starve? Who didn't bother even calling to find out if they found a place to stay or food to eat while living in luxury mooching Bhaiya? What is your heart made of pray tell?
Ishwari shuts up Elena: Elena, don't say this. How can you say this about Sonakshi? People are made up of their experiences. Only they know what they have faced. I know what she has faced and how she felt. You don't know anything.
Elena: What Buaji? What big deal happened to her in this house? I was also a daughter-in-law of this house naa?
Ishwari: But you weren't my daughter-in-law. You don't know what Sonakshi has faced. I have hurt that child very much. That's why I am getting punished for this.
Me: Ishwari, you have improved leaps and bounds. Had you been the life partner Sonakshi must have chosen, I'd have personally told her to go for it. Someone who makes that much effort for you, someone who is willing to take risks of rejection for you, someone who honestly willing to stand by you, is the person you should spend your life with.
But unfortunately your son has done nothing of the above. And one doesn't marry their mother-in-law.
And Elena, the woman who ran away with someone because she was in lau and then spent next 8 years wishing for a divorce, should not question other's marital situation. Your son can't tolerate you and your husband and hopes his uncle and aunt to adopt him. So lecture of a marriage coming from your mouth is the same as a person who cleans the hospital floor claiming knowledge of brain surgery.
Saurabh brings Sona to the living room where everyone except Asha is there.
He says: Dev is getting engaged. Ishwari aunty came herself. And now Sonakshi is standing in front of you. Baba, will you say anything or not.
Bijoy is hiding behind a newspaper. Sonakshi plucks the newspaper from Bijoy's hands. Her face is completely calm and composed with no sign of tears.
She says: I just want to know why you took back your promise? Did you feel pity for me or you were feeling guilty?
Bijoy: None of this, beta. Because I realised that this is right for you. I thought that you are happy and content in your life, but your happiness is...
Saurabh says: Dev Dixit.
Sonakshi smirks: Great. Now everyone understood that Dev is my happiness. But what can I do? He is getting engaged.
Bijoy: Beta, you are asking me what to do?
Saurabh screams: Baba...
Dida says: Because she wants to hear from your mouth. You are her Baba, no?
Sonakshi: Tell me, Baba. What should I do? Go and break his engagement? But what is that girl's fault? I can't hurt her.
Ronita says: But di, if you don't do it, that girl will hardly get a DDLJ 2. In fact you should go there. If you go there, then everything will be fine. If Dev jiju loves you, then how can he marry someone else? How will he make that girl happy?
Saurabh: If this engagement happens, no one can be happy - not Dev babu, not that girl, nor you. What do you want? Do you want Dev babu in your life or not?
Sonakshi is silent.
Saurabh increases the pressure: Sona, this is not fair. Dev babu bent in front of you, Ishwari ji came here and bent in front of you, you are still silent. Don't you love Dev babu?
Ronita says: Di, we all can see. Then why can't you see how much you love him?
Dida: We all know. Don't you know Sona?
Saurabh: What is the problem, Sona? What happened? Say something. Don't you love Dev babu?
Bijoy: Saurabh, she will answer.
Saurabh: Baba, if she had answer, she'd not have been sitting here. This thing won't have lasted this long. I think that you don't love Dev babu. This was all lies and drama.
Bijoy: Shut up, Saurabh.
Saurabh: No, baba. I won't shut up. I think that Sona doesn't love Dev babu. This was all show off and drama. That's why she is sitting silently here. Why Sona? Am I not speaking the truth? Tell me.
Me: Okay, enough!!! I swear I felt like slapping Saurabh hard. Talk about pushing. My goodness. It seems that he wants to marry Dev. Sonakshi took a decision. But everyone is forcing her to change her mind. She didn't even have a single tear in her eyes until she is pushed from all direction.
Saurabh, what did you tell Bijoy? That he forces his decision on Sonakshi? What are you doing here?
And by the way, just because Bhaiya wants Sonakshi and Maiya wants her back, it doesn't mean that she will have to want them back in her life. It's not an obligation of a woman to fall back on line when someone cracks the whip.
Secondly, Dev is doing the engagement. He or his fiance should be the one to stop it. It's not Sona's responsibility to activate plan A so that he ditches plan B. If he really loved her, considering that she didn't show up yet, he would have already ditched plan B. But since he didn't, it's safe to say that Sonakshi was the preferred option. But an option nonetheless.
Sonakshi screams: Enough!!! This is all a lie. I love Dev and can't live without her. (She cries) But what can I do baba? He is getting married. He is going to be someone else's. Ishwariji herself asked me to get him married. Why?
Saurabh: Because Ishwari aunty wanted you two to get back together.
Bijoy scolds him: Saurabh, how much will you make her cry. Shut up and sit over there.
Saurabh says: Baba, if I don't tell her anything today, she will keep sitting her in front of you. And you know why.
Bijoy: Sona beta, go. Otherwise, it will be late. Dev is waiting for you.
Saurabh: Sona, we all love you. Baba, say it once naa. Go, Simran go. Live your life.
Sonakshi laughs.
They all ask her to go.
Me: Why are they again bringing apples to compare with oranges? In DDLJ, Shahrukh won over Amrish Puri and changed his previous perception of him and proved just how much he loved Kajal.
Here, Bhaiya has done nothing of that sort.
Please CVs, do watch DDLJ to see how real men win over their lady love. What you have shown on screen is not how a real man behave. At least not the one whom I describe as men.
Anyhoo, Sonakshi arrives in the venue. Bhaiya's mouth open. Nisha notices that. Sonakshi and Bhaiya ogle each other.
Nisha's parents are confused. Bhaiya squad is happy. Radha and Vicky are fuming.
Nisha says: Dev, now Sonakshi came. Now you can smile.
Me: CVs, I think you forgot that Bhaiya was smiling before as well.
Radha says: There you are. Whatever was lacking is done. Dev's friend is here.
Asha and Ishwari are not happy.
Radha says: It's good that you came. How can today be possible without you? We have to do so much work. It won't get done by itself, no?
Sonakshi stammers.
Radha signals Vicky.
Vicky gets Dev and Nisha on the dance floor.
Bhaiya stammers. Nisha denies.
But Vicky forces.
So they dance in romantic tung tung while Bhaiya is staring at Sonakshi.
Radha drags Sonakshi away. Bhaiya watches her back and then dances with Nisha.
Golu and Soha are confused.
Radha is talking to Sona. But she is staring at Bhaiya.
Bhaiya is also staring at Sonakshi while holding Nisha in his arms. Like I said, douchebag.
Ishwari walks to Sonakshi.
Me: Only thing I will say is that I can't tolerate douchebags.
Sonakshi is sitting in a room. Ishwari comes there.
Sonakshi stammers.
Ishwari says: By the name you call me, I will understand if you came to do Dev's engagement or break his engagement.
Me: What is this with these people? Breaking or making Bhaiya's engagement is his responsibility. Not hers. What the hell?
Sonakshi: I wanted to tell you sorry. You came to my home, you said so many things and I could not say anything.
Ishwari: You don't have to say sorry. The sudden way I came to your house and what I said, to believe in it easily or to be able to understand suddenly is very difficult. I just want to tell you that whatever I told you, I said from the heart. I swear on Dev that I am speaking the truth. So why did you come? To get Dev engaged or to break it?
Asha suddenly gets a call. It's Saurabh.
Saurabh: Did our Simran reach there?
Asha: Who Simran?
Saurabh: Didn't you watch DDLJ? I have to make you understand everything. Baba has taken back his swear. Sonakshi has also accepted her love for Dev.
Me: It's not Asha's fault Saurabh. Even I can't identify this crap fest as the classic like DDLJ which changed the definition of a son-in-law. So please don't compare Raj with Bhaiya.
Asha: Really?
Saurabh: That's why she came there.
Asha: I must tell this to Ishwari.
Me: Yes, Asha. Run and tell Ishwari that your daughter has agreed to break another girl's heart. Such happy and proud feelings for a mother like you, no?
In the room, Sonakshi says to Ishwari: I don't know what I thought when I came out of the house. But when I came here and saw Nisha, I can't hurt her. What's her fault?
Ishwari: The fault is not yours or Dev's either.
Me: Hain? It's not her fault for pushing Bhaiya for marriage and it's not Bhaiya's fault for leading her on? Then whose fault is this, Maiya? Whose fault is Nisha's heartbreak and her family's insult? You?
Ishwari: If in fear of breaking her heart, you don't stop the engagement, then they will get engaged and then married. Then you two will be separate permanently. Dev won't be happy, you won't be happy and neither Nisha will be happy. Because Dev doesn't love Nisha. He loves you.
Sonakshi: How can I make you understand? It's too late.
Ishwari: I was late in coming to you. So late that my kids' happiness walked away from them.
Me: I am still trying to understand here why no one is talking to Bhaiya? He is the one doing slow dancing with Nisha outside. He is not a toddler who doesn't know that he doesn't love Nisha. He is not a toddler that he doesn't know that he loves Sonakshi. He is not a toddler who doesn't know that Nisha will be hurt if he marries her. But he doesn't want to let the bird in hand go until the bird in bush walks into the trap.
Wow!!! Kuch Rang Douche bags ke Aise Bhi!!!
PRECAP: Nisha comes angrily and asks to stop the music. She asks to call Dev's mother, Sonakshi's mother and everyone.
Asha and Ishwari are shocked.
Bhaiya and Sonakshi comes together from a corner.
Nisha's mother asks what happened.
Nisha asks Dev and Sonakshi straight: The question I am going to ask you, answer it straight. Tell me, do you still love Sonakshi?
Me: Hail Queen!!! She reminds me of Kangana Ranawat with the douchy fiance in Queen. I am totally into Nisha, the slayer.
Can't wait to see her handing their collective conscience to them.
NO RULES!!! YAY!!!
And eventually we learn by trials and error which expectations are valid and which one will never come true.
In that case, we learn to keep our expectations or we modify them and compromise.

NO RULES!!! YAY!!!
Tia..wonderful post... today had a tough day at work and at home. Fought with everyone at work and home...:-(. Now my MIL who is otherwise my favourite woman has made a weird demand of going on world tour..ALONE. well she is an awesome independent small household business woman. But has very poor English. I am very worried about her safety. My husband said I encouraged her. Well I did but I asked her to come with both of us. She wants to go alone. Tell me what to do..
ReplyDeleteDo you gals and guys have any advice?
I'd recommend before booking the tickets for the whole trip, why not do a test at home? Make her communicate with you only in English, go to places that provide services like supermarket, ticket counters etc and make her communicate there without speaking her mother tongue. She needs to get her point across. Also, check if you can find group tour. Then book her ticket with another Indian group. The coordinator there usually speaks the language of the group. And if you are really worried also book yourself tickets there. But tell her that you will stay away from her and pretend that you don't know her. Hope these works. My grandmother although travelled in Singapore, USA and Canada. She can't speak English either. It's all about how you get your point across. Correct grammar is not necessary. :)
DeleteWell, I feel expectations are the root cause of every evil...LOL
ReplyDeleteI cud throttle Asha's neck.
Punch Sourabh.
Ask Ish if she truly meant to reduce Sona's sadness by talking emotionally.
Bijoy's act shows how much different he is from Ishwari...always. For him, his daughter's happiness means all.
Then, I facepalmed when Sona says she loves Dev...hehe...well, it was instinctive.
And yes, Bijoy-Ish convo mde absolute no sense since Ishwari knows nothing abt Bijoy. Neither did Asha make any sense abt Sona going away from them...arre why what. Guess they had to show Bijoy as Amrish Puri of DDLJ...got it guys...thnx for Sourabhs' reference to the dialogues...warna samajh nahi aati mujhe.
Then comes the mother of all idiosyncrasy...hehe...Elina's convo to Asha-Ish. OMG....ROFLing. So am I to understand she never thot Sona underwent any pain as she herself was the bahu of this house? O Teri...and she calls herself Sona's sister, best friend....I am at loss of adjectives..Pls help.
At this point in the show, I feel confused if this is the show I started watching? Then come the leads, and I say whoa!! Yes!!
Sona looked pretty. Dev looked handsome. The song was a good one. I saw and thot nothing else....LOL
Thanks Tia for your analysis...I wud be insane by now if not knowing logic does exist here.
In btwn, Saheli wrote in love story, we got to let go off logic. Agreed. DDLJ,KKHH r all love stories. Did they appear this holistically illogical, irrational and out of sync with each passing scene? Nope. So, why krpkab? Illogical upto a point every love story usually is. But not this way where every tom dick and harry is needed for the leads to realise their love. Not only that, they only love when the other does something great for their family/parent. Any explanation as to why this love story is struck between Bijoy-Ish? Kuch bhi....Ainwayi...love story ke naam pe de do bhai.
I am totally getting what you are saying Gauri. Actually it felt more like Sonakshi is in love with Ishwari and Ishwari is the one who wants to marry her. Because neither she seems in love with Bhaiya nor particularly interested in marrying her. Bhaiya is also playing his own games.
DeleteOnly idiots like Saurabh, Asha and Elena will call this Lau.
After seeing Bijoy today,I re-iterate my love for Bijoy Bose. He is one father who wants hsi daughter's happiness.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, if Sona loves Dev and Dev loves Sona, marrying Nisha wud be more dangerous for her.
I wud nt want that for my enemy...marrying Dev Dixit, when he clearly still has eyes for Sona.
I remember Shruti saying -- "Dono pagal aur inn dono ke bich jo aayega wo bhi pagal ho jayega"..so I wish well for this girl Nisha. Hope she takes the right decision and stays away from the hell hole.
AGREED!!! Bijoy always wanted Sonakshi to be happy. Whoever makes her happy, he loves him and whoever hurts her, he hates them. He is simple and straightforward. But no one in his family appreciates his qualities. Does it mean suddenly he fell in Lau with Bhaiya? No. Jury is still out on that one based on Bhaiya's attitude. But he is willing to let him try for Sonakshi's sake. That's all a parent can do. They can try to protect their children. But if they refuse protection, they can be ready to catch them when they fall. I love Bijoy Bose and hate Asha equally.
DeleteUpdate done. Responses later.
ReplyDeleteMy complaint about the show is not that it claimed it was realistic and it totally wasn't. I also will give up logic to some extent.
ReplyDeleteMy main complaint with this show is consistency.
After the first break up and marriage, the story stopped progressing consistently there were tracks that were either abruptly ended with no real resolution (Neha-Ranbir, ria's wedding, independent Dev) or that other tracks didn't build from as they were meant to (pre-nup, infertility, swing). I thought the leap was to reset all the blunders that were done in the name of gaining TRPs so they could start on a somewhat clean slate. S2 started out like that but then again the story of S2 stopped progressing consistently and was scarified for appeasing the fans that demanded the nonsensical tashan and then romance.
Character sketches were no longer consistent, all characters behaved bipolar every other episode. There was no consistency in a track and the episodes don't flow. The show became jarring.
Someone was comparing Shakespeare to this show, that we might not like how Romeo and Juliet ended but the story is still immortal. The difference between this show and Shakespeare is that the story Romeo and Juliet doesn't change at a whim to gain TRPs or appease fans, all the characters in the play stay consistent and any analysis done doesn't get overwritten as new acts/scenes are introduced. It stays consistent, so whether we like it or not, we see a flow in the story. This show lost it's flow after the first breakup and never re-gained it.
TL;DR: I will overlook crappy costumes, dirty looking ML, realistic approach, and even logic but need the story and characters to be consistent and for the story to flow and build as it progresses.
Exactly. The makers are in so much hurry to match a date that they have lost the flow of the script to meet the deadline. It kind of reminds me of someone making a gorgeous car only to get the cheapest engine at the last moment to save money. Which ends up nullifying the previous great work.

ReplyDeletetoday not talking about the script but yes the way it was directed .
ReplyDeletebijoy, saurabh and sona===scenes were messed up ..
so basically bose family blamed bijoy totally and elena wah she preaching about sona being stone ...
ishwari hajmola tho banta hai boss her turn was jet speed sab ko sorry bol dali ...
felt so bad for bijoy next time bijoy don't do charity to sona throw her disown her if dixits throw her again ..
wah sona lu dev boli tu arey why did u waste time and our head to.
u needed ishwari approval didn't u ..
now i know more than dev u love ishwari all the best so u deal with 4 kids now (ish, dev, soha and golu)
poor girl in precap will call off engagement followed by rain dance and by friday hope we see curtain 's down too the show
Enough done with the show just want the show to end
Fakeness all the way
Bijoy was normal but turned him to fake
Can't digest this script
What did bijoy got in return headache and blamed for nothing
Nothing was good
I don't know why leap happened why sona wasted time when she was ready to be doormat
End this bakwas show had enough nonsense
I have no words to express
How a beautiful show turned horrible show
Bijoy blamed wonder why ??
Dev messed up everything yet gets sona back easily even though he had affairs.
Ishwari is whitewashed completely
Asha god can never crack her twisted brain she was the one who asked sona to fight for self respect now she wants to get rid of sona asap
Sourabh was the key person involved in breaking the bond his loan led to fights in the family now shamelessly blames bijoy
Bijoy always wanted to shield sona was it a crime even
Dev never respect bijoy how will he respect his wife
We don't know till when ishwari will be sane god knows
Sona took 7 yrs to be doormat to dixits and Lou with dev if so why the hell she wasted the time dhimak ka dahi bana dali
Basically she wanted ishwari approval I suppose
God knows how come ppl like such shitty script which has no head and tail
We have to pity ourselves for dealing with this show till now hoping something sensible will come
Neither dev tried to win sona with matured talks nor appolized to sona not once easily he gets things done
What can we expect they ruined season 2
Hope to see it end good rediance
Tia for me the show ended today I am done seems horror is stored fakeness will be bucket full of and diabetic love is on full this week
I can't take it tia sorry I am out from the show
I expected a matured meaning talks between the leads were they went out there feelings and dev redemption what not I expected I expected sona will be strong allowing dev to get hitched were he breaks it himself
This is pathetic tia sona seemed despo and bijoy has given up as u said adddition and rehab
Mujhe maaf kardo tia long rant in ur blog but I had to went it out
I agree with you, Shailu. Feel free to rant away. No need to apologize. That's why I created this blog so that people can vent their frustration. I totally understand where you are coming from. The episode seemed totally a botched up job to me. It made zero sense as to who is marrying whom and why.
DeleteIt seemed more of a Sonakshi and Ishwari love story than Bhaiya and Sonakshi love story. If there was a possibility of Sonakshi and Ishwari to be together minus Bhaiya, Sonakshi might not even consider Bhaiya.
I am on kind of comedy circus mode. I watch, I laugh/rant/make fun of. But relate to absolutely nothing. Hence feel no emotion whatsoever.
Kuch Rang Douche bags ke Aise Bhi!!!
ReplyDeleteDev toddler
Lol tia tu bhi na mast ho
Ha ha. Thank you, Shailu. ;)
Deletethnk god ,m not watching dis horrible show anymore.
ReplyDeletebehadh is more logical show thn KRPKAB now a dys.atleast d reason 4 her obsession is given and justified.
i hope as u said devakshi do end together becoz nothing has changed except ishwari.dev is still spineless mumma's boy jerk etc.and sona is still immatured emotional fool, stupid, doormat etc
I don't watch Beyhadh regularly. But if you ask me, Maya would have been more suited to Bhaiya's temperament. She likes to dominate and control, Bhaiya wants others to force their decision on him and operate him so that he doesn't have to do anything or take any responsibility. Maya will never leave Bhaiya even if he begs. It's a win win combination.
DeleteAs of Bhaiya and Sonakshi, they are exactly as incompatible as ever, making the same mistakes for the same reason as in season one and will end up with the same result as season one.
i too dont watch behadh ,actualy i visited the forum.aftr seeing d post.i went to watch couple of episodes.and yes reason for maya's osession can be understood.maya cant be forgiven but her character is reasonable.
Deleted same i aspected from our show.they failed in it horribly.
really till now i dont understand y was ishwari so insecure.widin a night Ishwari Dixit turned into Shailja kashyap.mothers r insecure i know bt ishwari's insecurity was at some other level.
worst lady thn ishwari is asha.i dont think any literate modern mother ll do whatever asha is doing.
sonakshi ,how can she accept a man who ditched her twice,in her absence slept wid other girls.
show completely ruined.to enjoy present episodes one needs to forget past episodes.
I have only one word for this show -pathetic
ReplyDeleteActually the concept of this show has been taken from a Pak show DIL LAGI (26 episodes). The characters are just similar (mamas boy, controlling and son obsessive mother, upright FL ). You would love the show and whatever shit is there in KRP is totally absent in DIL LAGI
I wonder as all of you also do - what was the need of leap - did anything change - if khatri was the only agent of change for mata then why this drama.
I think the indian audience deserve this BS - they are only interested in looks - let character go to hell. Sona and the fangirls has no problem with the debauchery of the ML - even if he has contracted AIDS- LOL -
kya faraK padta hai STD ho ya AIDS- ML kee hotness se hormone levels toh down ho jaate hai- I feel really sorry for the fangirls - ab show end key saaath unka hormone satisfyer kahan milega!!!!!
Thanks Tia for taking so much pain and investing so much time and energy - IF peh toh fan girls with TM included hai - just fantasise for the ML and don't allow any healthy criticism of the ML .
Thanks you again for giving a place to put in the POV.
LOL...I'm Indian and I dont think I deserve this BS....hehe
DeleteWhen I say Indian audience I mean the TRP and Fan audience - Hum aur aap ko toh ban kar diya jata hai - same way as sona was kicked out - LOL
DeleteExactly. What is this crap being loaded on us? This is not what we were promised. The tracks were left incomplete or rushed through. Nothing makes sense.
DeleteMay be I will see if I can find the Pakistani drama.
I must say what I have seen so far, Pakistani television dramas are better than ours. They have consistency and better scripts. At least the plot makes sense.
Here everything is run by TRP trap. And your question is totally valid. What was the point of the leap if the main characters don't develop?
TRP run every other show. But TRP is also bcoz of the audience. TV as a media is catering to the existing mindsets of audience rather than trying to bring about a change in their outlook.
DeleteSo, I guess we r always stuck with thes kind of shows.
I'm actually afraid when they say they r showing something real. None of the shows which say they r real or women-centric are actually anything but that.
Hey Tia, new spoiler. Soha angry with Sona as she doesnot say anything. Then she goes running after Dev to manaofy the toddler on another toddler's whims.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm in doubt what is the actual age of DD...hehe...joke...pls dont take seriously.
Bas yehi baaki tha....Soha to push Sona...that was the last straw and Sona goes running. They r only insulting DDLJ by referring to it. Dev has only called Bijoy budhau...and done nothing else to win anyone's heart..oh Yeah I forgot except absurdly lying abt Ronita's mom and booking honeymoon thru his embassy contacts...u compare that to what SRK did in DDLJ...Oh My...After all these yrs, I guess even love is affected by inflation...LOL
Looks ho toh age se kya lena -lou key liye kisse brain chahiye - despo sona koh dd key brain ka kya achar dalna hai - jo sona ko chahiye wo toh dev key paas sona kya - saari duniya key liye hai
DeleteWow great. I can understand Soha's question, but any woman who wants to raise a confident and self-respecting woman would tell her that just because your dad claims to love me and doing irrational things to get me back, does not mean I will have to jump on his lap whether I am ready or not.
DeleteThat's exactly is the problem with our culture today. Thanks to media, some men can't take no for an answer. They think that just because they love someone and they want a relationship, the other person will also have to be prepared for a commitment. It's not an obligation people.
If you love with a condition for the other person to jump when you want them to, do you really love them?
Maybe Sonakshi loves you. Fine. But that does not mean that she should jump back into a relationship with you. The first is not under her control but the second one she can take time for and control the pace. What's the hurry?
But Bhaiya has always needed instant gratification. This is love and a question of lifetime of commitment, not two minutes Maggie noodles. Specially since the last attempt was a failure, they should have taken time. But nope.
Hey guys..in IF , some ppl uploaded shaheer indo vedio links. I must say..this tapori shaheer is really good at acting. I was thinking shaheer might be having same personality of dev. That's why he is enacting so well. But after seeing his real personality.(so jolly)..i am surprised about his acting skills. Really..i have to admit that he is gr8 actor.
DeleteYes Pramila. Shaheer is actually a brilliant actor. Looks are a bonus.
DeleteI saw MB for him only and I know him from Navya days. I am not exactly his fan but just an admirer.
Shaheer is a brilliant actor. He is nothing like Dev. In fact he, himself said that Dev does crazy shits. That means that even he doesn't think Bhaiya belongs in normal society.
DeleteI had watched tits and bits of mb. I did not knew his name. This krpkab is made him to know more :)
DeleteTia...i thought he is like serious types..but he looks opposite of my thought
