Tia's Thread - Instant Gratification!!!
I might be a bit too young to say this, but generation of today (I am looking at you Gen Y) are very much used to instant gratification when it comes to... well, pretty much everything.
Instant love, instant relationship, instant break up, instant noodles/soup - you name it.
We have forgotten the value of space because we are crowding each and every one of our moments with instant gratification.
Let's take an example of love.
There was a time when people used to wait in the coffee shop/shopping mall/road side hours to meet their lover.
Now if we don't get a text response in less than 5 minutes, we start to feel that we are now less loved/valued.
Regardless of the fact that the person we had been texting might be busy at work, at home or doing some chores or other.
But we judge people's commitment based on how soon they jump at our command.
That's not love. That's an obligation. I could even call that slavery.
One thing I do in my relationship (all of them. Not just with my husband), I send a message or call (if it's urgent and I need response fast) and then wait for them to get back to me. If it's urgent, I take executive decision on my own because well, I can't wait on my hands for urgent tasks.
My family and friends know that I don't get offended if I don't get call back instantly or they text me back right away. And if for some reason I can't get back to them instantly, well, that's nothing personal. I am just busy.
It helps them appreciate the relationship I have with them and the freedom that comes with it without any obligation.
My husband knows that if I am at work or hanging out with a friend, I may or may not see his message and hence might reply back when I see it. He is fine with it.
I know that if he is at work or may be meeting a friend for a coffee, he may or may not see my messages and won't reply back until after. I am also fine with it.
If it's urgent, we call. If not, we wait. Simple.
That's because I don't need my relationships to constantly validate themselves for me. I know who loves me and who doesn't. The ones who love me, will love me no matter what. The ones who don't, well, who gives a damn about them anyway?
The reason I brought this topic is because in this show, what we are seeing is a bad case of instant gratification.
Maiya decides that Bhaiya needs to get back with Sona. She immediately puts a plan in action.
Bhaiya has already made a decision with Sonakshi that they will co-parent as friends. But since Maiya is willing to hand over instant gratification, why would he say no. So he also jumps into his own action.
Asha was always into instant gratification along with Elena. So they grab the opportunity and jump into the band wagon.
Soha always wanted her parents together, so she hopped in there as well.
But no one asked Sonakshi, if she really wanted a relationship right now.
Because who gives a damn what a woman wants. What matters the most is what everyone else wants for her.
Girls and boys, men and women, take my advice.
DO NOT enter a relationship because someone else wants you to get in there. Trust your gut feelings. Only you can tell what is right or wrong for you and also if this is the right time for you to take that step in your current emotional and mental state.
Love or no love, if you are ready for a relationship, you will feel excited, a little nervous but a whole lot of happiness to enter into it.
My husband tells me that he had the best night of sleep the night before our wedding day. That's how he knew that he was making the right decision.
That's how you should be feeling.
But if you are not ready, you will be scared, apprehensive, make excuses and try to convince yourself or need a lot of convincing.
We all know what is Sonakshi's state of mind.
Just because you love someone, it doesn't mean that you will be ready for the next step of commitment immediately.
For example, everyone plans for children after marriage. But does everyone get ready to have children the very next day of the marriage? Then it's quite evident that the most obvious progression doesn't necessarily have to happen right away.
There is no right or wrong time for a relationship. The only right time is when you are ready for it and the only wrong time is when you are not. It can't get simpler than this.
It can take time to see if this is the right emotional and mental state or the right time to make a lifelong commitment.
May be she needed more time and space to see where this relationship was going, may be she wanted to see if they can work on building the trust that was broken previous two times, may be she wanted time to sort out her own emotions.
But who gives a eff?
What Bhaiya wants, when he wants, how he wants - He must get it.
And anyone who stands against his demands, is the villain!!!
Kuch Rang Demands Ke Aise Bhi!!!
P.S. I am very busy today. So the update might be slow and/or late.
EPISODE: The episode starts with Bhaiya is in the garden feeding ice cream to Soha and Golu. Sonakshi comes there.
Bhaiya sees Sonakshi. He taunts Sonakshi that she is so busy that she could not come to her friend's engagement.
Sonakshi gulps.
Bhaiya tells her that she came too late.
Sonakshi says may be.
Bhaiya asks if she brought anything for him. She shakes her head no.
Bhaiya says you didn't bring me anything?
Sonakshi is about to say something when Radha drops in.
She says that it's time for ring ceremony.
Bhaiya says that the priest said that there is still time.
Radha says that now is the time.
She drags him away.
Bhaiya stands with Nisha when Vicky notices that the ring is missing.
Radha and Vicky are in tension.
Turns out that Golu, the brilliant mastermind, has hidden the rings.
Ishwari stammers something about postponing the engagement.
The priest says that there is only 15 minutes left until the engagement. If the rings are not found, the engagement won't happen today.
Radha panics and tells Vicky to buy new rings.
But the priest says that only the rings that are blessed can be used in the engagement.
Asha and Ishwari feel relieved that they still have time to ruin Nisha's day.
Radha puts everyone on charge of finding the rings.
In the meanwhile Bhaiya and Sonakshi shamelessly ogling each other with the song from yesterday playing in the background.
Even the lyrics are apt.
In a second I will be yours, just give a signal.
Me: The next line would be,
But if you don't say anything, I got another option.
Getting married is important. Besides every woman looks same in the dark. I am sure Bhaiya must be used to it by now. He can manage.
What? You think I am being cruel? Well, let's see here. Sonakshi came here. She is not saying anything.
What is Bhaiya doing?
He knows that he doesn't want to marry Nisha. But he is still leading her on. That means my example of bird in bush and bird in hand are very apt.
He doesn't want to let the bird in hand go until the bird in bush steps into the trap.
Great example of lover, I must say. He is keeping his options open.
Because getting married is more important than WHO he is getting married too.
Golu and Soha are sitting under a table. He is worried that so many people are looking for the ring, someone might find it.
Soha has full confidence in Golu. Soha asked him where did he hide the rings.
Golu says that he has hid it behind the bed. So they should just sit on the bed and if anyone asks, they will say that they have already looked behind it.
In the meanwhile, Sonakshi is taking an evening walk in Bhaiya's bedroom remembering past memories.
She grabs Bhaiya's picture and says: Whenever I see you, my breathing stops. Whatever road I take, I come back to you. Why does it happen? Why?
Me: Oh really? I didn't see you faint for lack of oxygen since you came back in Delhi? If anything, all I saw was you breathing fire and hail storm on his head. Suddenly, just because everyone said so, your breathing is being affected? That's called power of suggestion which mostly affects weak willed and feeble minded people like you.
The reason you keep coming back to Bhaiya's feet is also for the same reasons mentioned above.
Anyhoo, Radha brings Nisha to the washroom in Bhaiya's room. She tells her that Nisha is going to marry Bhaiya. So it's no big deal.
Nisha says what if someone is there?
They come in and see Sonakshi.
Radha asks what is she doing there?
Sonakshi stammers.
Radha asks her that she had asked Sonakshi to arrange the plates. Why is she here?
Sonakshi stammers: I was just going...
Radha: And you stopped here? In Dev's room? We have no time and don't waste time here.
Radha leaves. Sonakshi is about to leave when Nisha stops her.
Me: Had Sonakshi behaved with decency, she would have answered back Radha to arrange the plates herself or ask the caterer. But since she knows that she is behaving like the literally "other woman", she is stammering in guilt. Today she could not even look at Nisha in the eye.
I wonder if she has the courage to speak the reason she was here. But I guess not.
Nisha asks Sonakshi if this is Bhaiya's room. Sonakshi says yes.
Nisha says, that means this is the room where Sonakshi and Bhaiya... I mean, then why did you come here?
Me: Yes, darling. This is the room where they did everything except be a husband and wife in the truest sense. So you are good.
But the question you asked, was on point. You are a smart woman, Nisha and I love smart women.
Sonakshi says: Actually I was passing by and remembered old memories. So I came in.
Nisha asks: Sonakshi, you are okay, no?
Sonakshi answers: Yes.
She leaves. Nisha thinks.
Me: Wrong person to ask this question, Nisha. You should take all your questions to Bhaiya. Oh and yes, don't sign a pre-nup. I'd love for you to take him to the cleaners. I know you won't get married to him. But if any of you guys do, please don't sign a pre-nup unless you are richer than them. Then definitely sign a pre-nup.
Bhaiya is drinking water in the kitchen. Elena comes there.
He jokes: I am willing to give you anything. Just leave me alone.
Elena says: I can't believe that you are still joking.
Bhaiya: I was serious. You are looking at me so angry I thought you will kill me.
Elena: Dev bhai, this is not the time to joke.
Bhaiya jokes some more: You are angry because you are lost, no? I said that Sonakshi would come, she came.
Elena: You will go to Sonakshi right now and will talk to her. Stop your hide and seek game. I know Sona. She loves you very much.
Bhaiya: I am getting engaged. This is not the time to speak all useless talk. Besides, I don't understand what Sonakshi wants.
Elena: You don't understand what Sonakshi wants, but you know what you want. Why don't you do something? Why are you getting engaged? Would you be happy with this engagement? Is this your love story?
Bhaiya: Not every marriage is a love story and not all love story gets a happy ending.
Elena glares at him. Bhaiya leaves from there.
Me: Do you remember when I said yesterday that for Bhaiya, Sonakshi was only one option. The preferred option, but option nonetheless? Yep. Hence proved.
Elena, you actually thought this was a love story? It was not.
If Bhaiya really only loved Sonakshi and his only destination was Sonakshi, he could not have go through with this engagement. After all he wanted Sonakshi to come and break the engagement. That means, he didn't want to be with Nisha at all. But since he is still going to go through the engagement, that means that he wanted Sonakshi if she agrees, otherwise any woman will do.
If Sonakshi really loved Bhaiya and he was her only destination, she could not have stand in the engagement for as long as she did. She could not have tolerated to watch them together. But since she is still standing there and watching them going to go through the engagement, that means that she is doing all this under family pressure. Otherwise, she would have been at her home in her pj watching netflix with ice cream.
This is not love story. This is optional love story.
By the way Bhaiya, since you have decided to go through this engagement and you have told Soha that no other woman but her mother will come in your life, how do you plan to explain your broken promise to her? Do you also expect her to understand the way you expected her mother to understand?
Golu is nervous. Soha says that if Golu looks so nervous, then everyone will know that he has hidden the ring.
Just then Sona comes there. Soha and Golu greet her.
Sona asks what are they doing there?
Me: This is their home. They can do whatever. But why are you going through every room of the house? Are you mimicing income tax raid? Why don't you stay put where every other guests are?
Golu says that they had been looking for rings.
Sona asks then where is it?
Golu blurts out that it's definitely not under the bed.
Soha says: Yes, Mamma. Golu is speaking the truth.
Sona says: Then when did I say that Golu is lying? You are hiding something naa?
Golu says: BigChi, why would I hide something? Rings are already hidden?
Sona says: Really?
She starts walking slow with Mummy glare.
Golu blurts out in fear: BigChi, I didn't do anything. Everything was Soha's plan.
Soha grits her teeth to Golu: Golu...
She slaps her head.
Sona asks: Tell me, what did you two do? You hid the rings naa? Where is the ring?
Golu takes out the ring.
Sona: What made you do this? This is not a joke. Everyone is looking for the ring outside. Why did you do this? Miss Bose, tell me. I am asking you something.
Soha says: Because I didn't want Papa to get engaged.
Golu choruses: Even I didn't want that.
Sona is shocked.
She says: But it was Dev's decision. And you two also said yes. What about that? We will talk about this later, okay? I am taking this ring out. Don't tell anyone that you two hid this ring. Come out in two minutes.
Soha says: Mamma, you please don't take this ring out.
Golu says: BigChi, I like you. You are the best.
Sona thinks: I wish everything was as simple as their thoughts.
Me: To have simple life, you need people who are honest and straightforward. You can't have a simple life with players and liers, Sonakshi. It's like expecting honesty from a bunch of crooks. You will just keep getting disappointed. It's not their fault. It's your fault for having expectations from them which they are unable to keep.
Sonakshi comes out with the ring and thinks about the past. Bhaiya sees her.
They again ogle each other.
Just then Nisha comes and tells Sonakshi that she wants to talk to her.
Sonakshi nods and goes with her.
Me: Bhaiya, you have decided to go through the engagement, but still ogling your ex. and you are throwing longing glances at Behena while blatantly leading Nisha on. If that is not insulting to both women, I don't know what is. And people think you are in lau. That's probably the joke of the century.
Nisha, I hope you give Sonakshi some lesson in decency. You go, girl!!!
Nisha brings Sonakshi to the garden.
Sonakshi says that let's talk here, please.
Nisha asks: Is this your favourite place?
Sonakshi goes in memory land.
She asks: Did you want to talk to me about something?
Nisha: Actually I wanted to ask you for suggestion. I want to give Dev something. Nothing big, but it's the first gift from me to him. I am very nervous. I don't know what would be best. A branded pen or super cool tie?
Sonakshi says: Both are good options.
Nisha: I think both are bad options. Your expression is saying this. Please tell me Sonakshi what should I give him?
Sonakshi: It's strange naa. What can you give to a man like Dev. He has everything. I mean what he can buy with money, he has.
Nisha: Then what should I give him?
Sonakshi: Good memories, experiences, talks.
Nisha: Talks. What kind of gift is that?
Sonakshi: Someone like Dev is not impressed by expensive gifts. For him talks are important. Family is important for him. For him, party time is family time. If it's a big gathering he entertains people with his small talks. But he gets tired. He is 100% with his family. If you can make him laugh, make him cry and share his childhood memories, that's what he would like. It's strange that he doesn't like tea in five star hotels. But he can drink 8 cups of roadside tea. Whose heart is so big, how can he hurt anyone? Do you know what was the best gift from me to him was? That roadside coffee. We could talk hours with the roadside coffee.
Nisha says: So you want to say that Dev Dixit is perfect? It's so strange naa that Dev told me something else.
Sonakshi: What did Dev say?
Nisha says: He said that he was not a perfect husband. He used to make mistakes repeatedly and you used to fix them. That's why your marriage didn't work out.
Sonakshi says: No, that's not true. He didn't used to make mistakes, I used to make mistakes. I couldn't handle anything. That's why it didn't work out. I used to think that I will manage everything, fix everything. But I could not do it. He was managing everything anyway.
Nisha: But Dev said that you used to call him Mamma's boy. Because he didn't used to listen to anyone except his mother.
Sonakshi: So what is wrong in that? Everyone should listen to their mother. I should have understood him. I wanted to change him. It was not his fault.
Nisha says: But Dev said that he was stubborn and selfish. He never treated you well.
Sonakshi: What rubbish? He never did that with me. In fact he can't do this with any woman. He married me with all my weaknesses and shortcomings. I don't know how he is with you. But he was perfect for me. He was the best thing that ever happened to me.
Bhaiya comes there and says: Nisha...
Nisha glares at them and leaves.
Bhaiya asks Sona: What happened Sonakshi? What did you tell her?
Sonakshi looks guilty.
Me: Dialogue writer, are you on pots? Because what Sonakshi said sounds schizophrenic.
1. People who like roadside tea has big hearts? I'd say that people who likes roadside tea has better taste buds.
2. So from they both being responsible for their marriage breaking down to everything is Sonakshi's fault that she could not handle more taunts and lies and pressure to get pregnant?
3. Suddenly, there is nothing wrong being a puppet in Mother's hand. Why? Because now the Mummy is a puppet in your hand, isn't that so Sonakshi? Because when the same mother was lying about your marriage to Jatin, you had no problem telling her that she moulds the truth to fit her agenda. Pray tell what you are doing right now?
I always had this exact problem with you Sonakshi. The moment you decide that you are in love, you lose your personality, sense of right from wrong and even modify the truth to justify your weakness.
4. So Bhaiya was perfect for her because he married her knowing her shortcoming of not being able to get pregnant. Wow!!! Such sacrifice. Which turned into pressure the moment Mummy said so.
By the way, do you think Sonakshi that you would be standing here gushing over Bhaiya had Soha not been born? You had no value as an infertile woman, Sonakshi. That's the reality.
And Bhaiya, why are you so worried that Sonakshi might have said something wrong to Nisha? Are you worried that your bird in bush might have spooked your bird in hand and you will be left with no toys to play with.
May be that's why you should not play games with two women? But I doubt you will learn your lesson.
Nisha comes out. Radha asks where is Dev?
Nisha says where he should be.
She tells the DJ to stop the music and asks to call everyone there including Ishwari and Asha.
Nisha's mother asked what happened?
Dev and Sona come there.
Nisha says: Since they are there, might as well ask them.
Bhaiya pretends complete innocence.
He says: I think there is some misunderstanding here, let's talk it out naa.
Nisha says: Now everything is clear.
Bhaiya says: Nisha, listen to me.
Nisha says: Enough. Now just answer my question you two.
Nisha's mother: Nisha beta, you can't talk to Dev like this.
Radha says: Nisha beta, you come to me. I will solve everything.
Nisha: No one needs to solve anything for me. I can solve everything on my own.
Then she turns to Bhaiya: So tell me, do you still love Sonakshi?
Everyone is shocked.
Me: Go slay, girl!!! Woot woot!!! What a woman.
Bhaiya, you didn't think that you will be put in the spot like this, did you? You thought Sonakshi will break your engagement and you will pretend complete innocence so that all blames fall on Sonakshi. But Nisha has put you in the spot.
So Bhaiya Squad, now do you get who has the right to make decisions to make or break an engagement? What Sonakshi says doesn't matter. It's all up to the bride and the groom.
Sonakshi stammers: Nisha, what are you saying? I said all this because...
Nisha: Shut up. Don't talk between us. I am asking Dev. Since the day I came here, I asked everyone. (She glares at Bhaiya) Did I ask or not?
Bhaiya nods.
Sonakshi tries to interrupt again.
Nisha says: Enough. I am not a ten year old kid whom you can convince. I asked Dev something.
Me: May I say that I love how Nisha made Sonakshi shut up? I think she'd have been a better wife for Bhaiya. She is capable of keeping him in line and shut up Radha and crew. Sonakshi is pathetic.
Ishwari is praying her son to speak the truth.
Radha interrupts: Nisha beta, what is going on? Why are you asking all this question from Dev?
Ishwari says: Let Nisha ask whatever question she wants to ask.
Nisha: So Mr. Dev Dixit, do you still love your ex-wife?
Bhaiya is thinking exactly how he can modify the answer to keep the bird in hand because the bird in bush hasn't fallen in the trap yet.
Nisha asks: Just answer yes or no.
Bhaiya finally says: Yes.
Bhaiya squad is happy.
Sonakshi looks shocked.
Bhaiya is unhappy that he had to speak the truth.
Me: He had no other option, naa. He has already told Ishwari and Soha that he is stuck on Sonakshi. If he had lied today, they would have charged him tomorrow. So he had to speak the truth. But while truth frees other people, for Bhaiya, truth is the poison he never wants to touch with a ten feet pole.
PRECAP: Sonakshi says: Dev, I didn't know this will happen. I am sorry.
Bhaiya: You are feeling bad after my engagement broke? I don't want to talk to you.
He tries to run (as usual).
Ishwari asks: Dev, where are you going?
Bhaiya: Far away from here.
Sonakshi calls: Dev, Dev...
He runs.
Me: The escape artist strikes again. Go doggy. Fetch the runner. And keep your senses sharp because you will have to keep fetching him every time things doesn't go his way or a situation is tough. Because he is not the type to face the reality head on. He is the type to run from it.
NO RULES!!! YAY!!!

NO RULES!!! YAY!!!
Tia..current generation means what I am seeing with my son and his friends. They are very practical no more emotional fools. E.g... I keep my eyes on my 20 yr old boy..with whom is roaming around, is he addicted to cigarettes or drinks. Some time indirectly ask him like any girl in his Life? Does he drinks when he is partying with friends?? All qs I will never ask directly. But I get straight answer from him that he drank bear..and about girl..he is saying he has girl friends but not in the meaning of relationsjip. And he says girls are not foolish to go behind any boy..even they will see boy is doing well or not. They have no hesitation in saying to world if they fail in any subject. These days children are more open. They don't care what other's think about them. They are too practical. You cannot manipulate them easily. They are stubborn in their own way. Some time I feel their heart and brain has no connection and they have become too mechanical. but some time I feel it is good the way they are.
ReplyDeleteSo far my children are being good and I hope n pray in future my children become good human beings and capable of taking care of themselves.
Krpkab is not all close to current generation. I feel mostly it was 20+ yrs back story.
Oh don't get me wrong. Upbringing definitely plays a part in shaping one's character. However, in Canada, the amount of drama that passes on as lau in teens here are ridiculous. And in fact, that includes also one of my cousins who constantly texts her husband at work and if he doesn't respond because he is busy, she starts texting us cousins that he doesn't love her and she wants a divorce. Are you kidding me?
DeleteThese days she doesn't talk to me much because I told her some home truths about her clingy nature.
But the reason I mentioned it here is that while the mentality is regressive, the way they are handling the relationships are extremely immature. I am glad though your son and his friends got better upbringing and use their intelligence along with their heart.
I won't call using brain with heart mechanical at all. I will call it smart.
I agree about the instant gratification. If call get unanswered what'sapp, good old sms, then fb ping/poke, twitter etc etc...the concept that other person maybe busy in real life is non existent t many people.
ReplyDeleteComing to show, I was glad to see the girl was fuming hearing Sonakshi lovey divey bakwas about good ol days. Everythig was her fault, great we can move on now. And the precap...ye acha Hai, khud raita felao, khud then tantrum feko.
@pramila lol even my mom.does that, but she is not the type for beating around bush, neither is dad. They ask ask directly, is there someone in your life? If you ever have, don't hesitate to meet us. We will see you choice and wd can move ahead. Idk how much supportive they will be if I even fall for someone but the support means enough.
I would suggest..be open with your parents. You might think they may not like it..but definitely helps you out taking right decision. Your parents also feels goods as it makes them feel that you are giving importance to them.
DeleteI absolutely agree. I see so many people who post that they will delete people from friends list if they haven't liked or wrote a comment to their post on social media. What is this? Your friendship depends on performance?
DeleteI was super happy with Nisha the way she charged Bhaiya and shut up Sonakshi. She had no right to butt in between them. Who the hell is she to talk between two people who are getting engaged? I felt like Nisha should have slapped her for being such a poor excuse of a woman.
today to hear that NISHA stood up for herself is gratifying and I agree --- :) I'll watch for that.
DeleteAlso will say - yes be open with your parents, and be prepared that they may not like what they hear. dealing with that "not having the same opinion" is also a sign of maturity. Saying -- I know they mayn't like it but still being honest is important. I try to tell my girls that -- and time will tell how they take it.
With friends --- I think if its a two way street - that is NOT calculative its the best. You don't "pay back" friends - because you know it always evens out in the end, and even if it doesn't big deal.. and its unconditional and we choose our friends. So I agree its not petty about FB likes and posts back --- its got to be more meaningful. And as someone who's middle aged - I have been blessed when it comes to friends and they are my source of strength and inspiration
Oh Tia
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to be here and see some rationale post. I was so I don't know the word exasperated when I heard sonakshi talk to Nisha. I thot the dialogue writer was high on something. Her rant made no sense. I mean mammas boy is no big deal. It's the problem lot of marriages in the world break. What kind of message are they sending. Sona's dialogue today and Dev's Budhao would be the most scary things on Indian TV till date. And ppl are happy coz they get to see romance after all this torture. What has the world come to
Feel free to rant away here. That's exactly why I created this space. Suddenly the entire past is whitewashed. Well then why the heck did she leave and stayed away all these years? If he was the best thing since sliced bread and pure as a drop of dew on a blade of grass, then why the eff was she blaming him and calling names? And why would such perfect specimen consider the full of flaws, her as life partner? Does not he deserve perfection as well?
DeleteYeah Tia. Tbh sona is the worstly written character of the show. I mean ish mite not be a great human being. But she makes sense. If they had to show sona as divinely good, a person is good when he understands the wrong and even then forgives. But here sona is looking dumb, she lacks basic judgemental of right and wrong.
DeleteExactly. I don't see how she changes her stance to justify her actions at any given time. It makes no sense whatsoever.
DeleteAt first Bhaiya was spineless. Then he was not.
Then he was Mamma's boy. Then he was not.
Then he and her was equally responsible for their marriage break up. Now suddenly it's all her fault.
Then Bijoy was a loving, protective father and Ishwari was a scheming mother-in-law. Now Ishwari has no fault and Bijoy is the root of all evils.
WTF?
Problem is writers tune sonakshi according to the scene. She does not have any basic personality. Very badly written character I tell u. She has no consistency and basic trait. It's all as per the scenes vibe.
DeleteI swear Sonakhi is even more pathetic then Mr Dixit. For someone who had a huge problem with Dev being a mama's boy she is suddenly okay with it. More than Dev I seriously want Nisha to give Sonakshi an earful. Inspite of knowing that Dev still loves her she was intent on ruining another girls life. What kind of woman does that to another woman. Truly pathetic!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes that's why I said she is pathetic but guess it offended some people on other forum. I'm thinking sonakshi was just trying to play the good cop and not spook Nisha away. There is no other logic there
DeleteExactly. I completely agree. She loses her personality when she falls in Lau. Pathetic.
DeleteSonakshi is touted to have broken the tv heroine stereotype.but in truth she has not.If she was shown as a true morden woman of todays generation, she would not get back togather with Dev. Yes she can continue to love him, but reuniting would be a far off option considering her struggle for seven years. One more thing I fogot to mention, that line was seriously ROFL'' whenever I see you my breathing stops.'' You are right Tia. Then why the show of hatred in the beginning. These writers have lost it.
DeleteI know right? Why didn't she die of oxygen deprivation then when she saw Bhaiya entering hotel room with Shruti? I didn't even recall heavy breathing from her. Sonakshi is like Asha. Both pretends to be modern women but they are even more regressive than Ishwari.
Deletei skipped the episode i am not for chessy romance i am too old for such mushy episode ...gona skip this week ..
ReplyDeletenothing is interesting hope they end the show ...lol tia one thing i didn't get it if dev was perfect dam why she left him now she wants to be doormat why couldn't she be then
so finally tia to whitewash dev made sona dumb as u and i assumed
awesome analysis to a idiotic plot track ...
best ---Me: Dialogue writer, are you on pots? Because what Sonakshi said sounds schizophrenic.
1. People who like roadside tea has big hearts? I'd say that people who likes roadside tea has better taste buds.
2. So from they both being responsible for their marriage breaking down to everything is Sonakshi's fault that she could not handle more taunts and lies and pressure to get pregnant?

Thanks Shailu. Honestly the crap fest they showed on screen seemed such a hogwash from the earlier scripts that it made no sense whatsoever. I mean how can I get convinced these two are in lau, when Sonakshi only remembers her Lau when she SEES Bhaiya's hotness and when some other woman wants him and Bhaiya as always treating Sonakshi as a nice to have option, not the most necessary thing for him. I mean if he is fine with marrying Nisha, then why do so much drama to make Sonakshi interested and if he doesn't want to marry Nisha, then how come he was going to go through with it had Nisha not raised a bunch of questions? What kind of Lau is that?
DeleteScript writer is psycho and director one more mental what crap they show and few in the forum loving it lol tia it amazes me are we wrong or ppl around
DeleteLet people enjoy what they enjoy, Shailu. I will continue to point out the lack of consistency and logic. You guys have freedom to speak your mind here.
DeleteSince bhaiya (baby) got the baby sitter (sonakshi) back now, he is back to his rona-dhona, all is your fault attitude. I am shocked to see the maa-beta duo, both didn't want this engagement to happen, but neither of them said a direct no. Can't take the blame but ruin someone's life.
ReplyDeleteSonakshi is a "Kalaa Dhabba" in the name of women and why would she be not, after all a mother like Asha will pass on her best characteristics to the kids (both Saurabh and Sonakshi). Only now I understand why Bose dadi is always nice to Asha, she must have realised early enough that Asha is manipulative and could throw her out of house.
This show : Once a sweet experience has been turned into a bitter memory for future by cv's.
Not only that. Bhaiya ran right after confessing his douchebag attitude. Nisha and her family were still there. That means he does not want to face any taunts. Left behind his family and Sonakshi to listen to all the blames. Sonakshi and Asha deserve all taunts. But the main douchebag was Bhaiya who was making innocent faces while he had some other agenda.
DeleteBTW - people like fuze who used to do good articles on two-three shows are now covering more shows and just sorta on "let me tell you how to understand this" preachy kinda articles -- and I wrote back yesterday... :) in case anyone wants to take a look ....
ReplyDeletePut the link here. I will check out your response. Yes, I also felt that fuze has changed their tone to more people pleasing writing.
DeleteTell me abt it. And someone from the forum actually told me we are here to see hot romance and are happy if we get it. So it was a wakeup call for me. I was the outsider there
DeleteMily, some people just want to watch romance. It's fine. I also want to watch romance but only if it makes sense. That's why I created this space to write what I want. You can say whatever you want here. You got full freedom of speech. You like the romance? Great. You don't? That's fine too.
DeleteSee even I am a strong believer of passionate love. But not without a strong foundation of true love. I mean full house was my favorite show. I love Jesse and Becky's love story. It's beautiful and realistic. They talk, relate and understand each other.and John Stamos is way hotter thn shaheer. Just my opinion.
DeleteJust One Thing- Nisha ROCKED!!!!!!
ReplyDelete--Ananya
AGREED!!! I freaking loved that woman!!! In-freaking-credible!!! What poise and dignity!!! I want to see her story.
DeleteTrue observations, Tia. Instant gratifications is the norm now. Technology is also a reason! :) In older times with no smart phones around, people still would communicate! :D
ReplyDeleteAnyways saw last three episodes in a row. And I am confused. Has the Season1 writer changed? Bijoy is asked to say ja Simran ja, jeele apni zindagi! So Sona was holding on because of Bijoy?? I thought she did not want to commit so soon! Ishwari's repentance can move anyone now. Her acceptance of her faults was very genuine. CVs very successfully converted the grey character to super white!
But I could not understand Sonakshi's conversation with Nisha. Why was she giving a clean chit to Dev? So that Nisha goes ahead and marry Dev? Or she genuinely feels Dev has made no mistake in the marriage? So what was it in season1? So her issues like Dev leaving her stranded on a street and cutting cake with his "family", cancelling honeymoon without discussing with her, forcing her to go for infertility treatment on his mothers insistence, not caring for her side of the family when they were called thieves and cheats by Dev's family do not matter to her anymore. Brushing one small aspect under carpet is still ok but now it seems the entire carpet with all the misdeed is missing! Wah CVs, Jai Ho! :D
Exactly. I didn't see the point of Sonakshi whitewashing Bhaiya. She could have easily said that whatever complaint she had with Bhaiya was between them. They obviously have no problem with each other any more. Nisha should see if she has any problem with him now. She has to build her own equation. But instead Sonakshi did what she always does when she thinks she is in Lau, whitewashes the past so that she can pretend that she is not a weak and pathetic woman.
DeleteHi friends sorry to barge, but even in DDLJ simran's father let her go only bcoz the character raj wanted to win her father's heart and then win her, but this guy dev doesn't want to even lift his finger for anything, winning the love too far fetched for him. So it would be nice for the makers to not use one of our favorite movies to compare it with these losers.
DeleteExactly. That's why I am getting pissed off at DDLJ reference. Raj won Simran's entire family over by being the best son-in-law. Here Bhaiya did absolutely nothing of that sort. Then where is this bullshit comparison coming from?
DeleteWhat I hate about the current track is how Nisha is being used as a third wheel. Is it really that easy to play games with someones emotions. What message are the makers sending out .That's it okay to string along someone until you have no use of them. In Natashas's case Dev had genuinely liked her and had considered her as a potential life partner before he realized his feelings for Sonakshi. What I want Nisha to ask Dev is would he have hesitated to break the engagement if Sonakshi confessed her feelings or whether he would have done it without even blinking twice.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Bhaiya could not even keep Nisha's name straight in his head. That's how little she mattered to him. Yet if Nisha hadn't stopped the farce, he'd have gone through with the engagement. What kind of person ruins a woman's life to prove a point? How is he any different from Ayan in season one who was using Riya?
DeleteWhy these romance ke pujari who lives in perfect democracy leaves us middle eastern people alone. Apni khushi mein party karona Bhai....psychos.
ReplyDeleteYeah man who was that. Such dirty and filthy language. People dont even hav basic decency on public platform.
ReplyDeleteThat was a pathetic excuse of a man who only gets his chance to prove his manhood in the internet. Ignore him. I deleted his comments.
DeleteAre u sure it's a man.
DeleteFolks... what is this shit about mamma's boys are good?... suddenly U turn to marry Dev. Uncle bhi maan gaye as per segments. And who is this person u are talking about. I did not see any shit post...
DeleteTia deleted it. There is only one logical explanation. Any decent human being won't wash their dirty laundry in public. So she did want Nisha to have any bad impression abt Dev.
DeleteOh I am 100% sure it's a man. He had done this shit before.
DeleteOh so u mean to say u know this person. Wow people are really passionate abt this show that they are now stooping to despicable levels.
DeleteYep. There are people who threatened Saheli from future production for pointing out flaws of a fictional character. Go figure.
DeleteOmg she is now always writing super positive of the show. Even when the script is bad.
Delete
