Tia's Thread - Man Up!!!

Every human being has a life cycle. They start as a baby, then turns into an infant, then into a toddler, a tween, a teenager and then they become an adult and eventually an old person until death.

Every stage of life has its own responsibility and with it comes accountability except the baby and infant stage.

A toddler is responsible for learning colours, shapes and his surroundings.

A tween is responsible for studying and learning important life lessons.

A teenager is responsible for preparing for adulthood along with studying and learning basic skills of survival.

An adult is responsible for earning a living, having a family, raising a family and becoming a well-adjusted, respectable citizen of the country they belong.

Even an old person is responsible for sharing their wisdom and knowledge with the young and letting them forge their own path.

In all those stages, the adulthood is the longest stage. It stretches from 18 to 70 years.

Why?

Because this is the most important stage of life for the society.

In this age, people are the most productive and responsible. They earn money, they pay taxes, they contribute to the society, they create the future members of the society, they make rational decisions that impacts the society and the world.

However, adulthood comes with responsibilities and the right to make a decision comes with accountabilities.

You can't claim the privilege of being an adult if you are not willing to take responsibility for your actions.

You can't demand the right to make your own decisions if you are not willing to take accountability for your actions.

Some of you have raised a question multiple times, why do television glorify manipulation, force, pressure, blackmail to achieve anything worthwhile?

Well, simply because people don't want to take responsibility and held accountable for their decisions.

For example, if now Behena forces Bhaiya to stop the wedding and they again come to the verge of break up, Bhaiya can say, it's your fault. You stopped me from getting married to someone else.

It doesn't matter that he wants to be forced and manipulated to get back to Behena. This force gives him a loophole to escape the responsibility in the future and claim that he was the innocent kid who didn't know any better.

If now Behena is tricked into accepting Bhaiya, she can claim in the future if their relationship again doesn't work out (and in reality it won't since none of them have changed), she can claim that she had said no initially. But she was tricked by others to take this decision.

See? Easy. You get to have your cake and eat it too.

In fact, one of my friends told me that the only reason he agreed for arranged marriage is that if it doesn't work out, he can hold his parents responsible.

I asked, why would your marriage is their responsibility? If you don't want to marry, say no.

His response was, what if I say no and then my marriage doesn't work out with the person I select? Then they will blame me for every thing my wife does that they don't approve.

So you see the situation here?

If he gets married to someone he chooses, the parents will pick flaws in the girl and basically let everyone know that their son forced their hand and they had to support him under sufferance.

If he gets married to someone they choose, he can blame his parents for everything he doesn't like about his wife and if for some reason his marriage doesn't work out.

This was just an example. It makes no difference if we are talking about a girl or a boy. The lack of responsibility and accountability are not based on gender.

There is a phrase in English called "Man Up". It means to take responsibility and be accountable. It says man up, because in old era, it was considered for a man to have an honour and to take responsibilities and accountability for their decisions and actions since they had the right to make a decision. And a woman was considered to have no honour since a. she didn't have the right to take her own decisions (she was more like a property or livestock to be traded) and b. since she had no free will, she was not accountable or responsible for anything other than performing her duties to bear kids and all household chores.

But in modern era, most of us (sorry, I can't really say all of us), know that a woman has as much honour as a man. And they are also responsible for withholding their part of the deal.

Now that they have free will (mostly) and right to take their own decisions, they must take responsibilities and held accountable for them.

So manning up applies to both men and women today. I know old fashioned concepts like standing by one's decision, honouring one's words or promises, taking accountability of one's actions are not very common these days because people want the privilege without paying for the cost for that privilege.

But a woman has to man up as much a man should too.

Unfortunately, in this show, both the main leads are not capable of "Manning Up" and would rather be tricked, forced or blackmailed than take responsibility of their actions. I personally can't respect such pathetic example of human beings.

EPISODE: The episode starts with Sonakshi is walking away from Dixit mansion and is thinking of what Elena said.

Suddenly she looks back and looks up and sees Bhaiya is standing in his room staring at her.

Then he walks away and she leaves.

Me: Sonakshi had always been a moron who is easily brainwashed by anyone.

Mummy said that I should forgive Dev. Okay.

Mummy said I should fight for my self-respect. Okay.

Pappa said I should be strong. Okay.

My ex said I should be his caretaker. Okay.

Ex-Mummyji said I should match make for my ex. Okay.

Elena said that it's up to me to decide who should my ex be with because he is my pet without any will and I am his owner. Okay.

Are you frigging kidding me?

Bhaiya is in the kitchen grabbing something to drink. Maiya is there on damage control.

She says: Dev, I think I have forced you to marry. I mean I want you to have a family. But I don't want you to marry because I forced you.

Bhaiya: Why are you saying that? It's nothing like that. Don't say it.

Ishwari: No, you don't say just anything. You said yes for marriage to Payal so fast. So I think that you are taking this decision to make me happy. Is it that you youself don't want to marry Payal...

Bhaiya interrupts: Maa, I am doing this for myself, not for anyone else. Any happiness that comes in my life, comes like guests. If I want my happiness to stay in my life forever, then I will have to do it on my own to keep my happiness with me.

Ishwari: Dev, that means you really want to do second marriage?

Dev: Maa, I know what I want and this time I will get it.

Ishwari is shocked.

Me: Okay, let's rethink this a bit. Say if you were Ishwari, what conclusion will you reach from this conversation?

1. Dev wants to marry. In fact, he is eager to get married. It's not because of her. He just needed her to give him the push so that he can go with clear conscience.

2. He obviously likes the person he is marrying i.e. Payal.

3. He is doing it for himself and his happiness and since he is rushing into marriage, obviously he equates his happiness with Payal.

At this point, Ishwari, had she been any other mother, would have apologised to Soha and tell her that she thought her father loved her mother and that's why she made this plan to re-unite them. But now her father has moved on. So it would be better if they can all prepare for the marriage.

She would also tell Asha and let go of Sona from having to go through this torture since she now genuinely likes Sona and doesn't want her hurt.

Soha will be upset. But since she is these days Papa and Dadi worshipper, how long can she be angry?

But because this is not reality as the makers claim and this is fiction, of course, this farce will continue. What is a woman's suffering in front of a man's tricks.

Now coming to Bhaiya. He had said that this time he will get his happiness. If he is indeed talking about Sona, then he has track record of getting his happiness and then kicking her out. What makes him think this time will be any different than other two times?

At Bose house, Asha, Bijoy and Sona are having dinner.

Bijoy tries small talk and then asks her: You must have been very busy today at work, no?

Sona says in a monotone: I didn't go to work today. Dev needed to meet a girl for marriage. I went there with him. He really liked the girl. Her name is Payal. He will get married soon.

Asha looks at Sona worried.

Bijoy mumbles: But beta...

Sona asks: But what?

Bijoy says gently: It's good that Dev is getting married. But what was the need for Ishwariji to involve you in this? It must have been so awkward for you. She could have gone to a marriage bureau. What I mean is that you are working. You are already busy with your workload. How long will Jatin manage office alone? It was her son's marriage, she has to look for his bride. Why did she have to drag you in between? Nonsense.

Me: Bijoy, you are talking sense which any sane father would say

Sonakshi says: Baba, you should be happy naa. That's what you wanted. You told me that if Dev gets married, then he will go away from my life. Then what is your problem?

Sonakshi tells Asha: I have to get up early tomorrow morning. I have an important meeting so I am going to bed.

She leaves.

Me: Sonakshi, you have become a grade A ass. You know that?

1. He is happy for Dev and he is also happy that he is going away from your life. He never pretended otherwise. And yes, that's what he wanted.

He has no problem with that. But what he didn't like which no sane person would like that their daughter's ex mother-in-law asks her to go find a bride for her ex-husband.

Had your mother been a sane mother, she'd have told Ishwari to leave you alone now that Dev has agreed for marriage and her plan has failed. But of course, your mother is not sane by any means because CVs told her that Dev is supposedly the hero. So whoever worships him is the good guy and whoever points out his flaws are bad people.

In real life, no one says who is the hero and hence people are judged based on their actions.

Bijoy raised a very valid question which you should have asked if you had two brain cells to rub together. What was the need to involve his ex in finding the bride?

You convinced him and that's all you had promised. You hadn't promised her to find him a bride and then carry him into his marriage bed and put him in his new wife's lap.

2. Bijoy never said to you that if Dev gets married, he will go away from your life. He is happy for that reason. You said it to Dev that if he gets married, he can move on with his life.

3. No one had put a gun on your head to force Dev into re-marriage. You did it to make Ishwari happy. So go blame Ishwari if you have the guts. Dev will himself kick you out of his life like a used tissue like he did twice already.

And most importantly,

4. You asked Elena that if Dev is a kid. He said yes to the marriage so there's nothing you could do.

Then why are you telling Bijoy what he said. Whatever he said, how does it impact what Dev did or what you did? Are you a kid?

Ishwari asked you to match make. Did Bijoy suggest this plan to her?

You agreed to match make because you become a moron in front of Ishwari and Dev. Did you ask your Dad before agreeing to it?

Dev agreed to marry Payal. Did Bijoy brainwashed Dev in saying yes?

Then what he says, how does it impact your situation? It's all on your head because it was your decision.

So stop being an ass hole to your dad. Shame on daughters like you.

Bijoy looks at Asha: See? You asked me to talk nicely to her or she will be hurt. Where was she hurt? She got angry at me instead.

Asha looks upset.

Me: You should be guilty as well, Asha. You were an accomplish in this. If your daughter is hurt, it's because of you. You willingly agreed to Ishwari's scheme.

Next morning, Sona is at the office. But looks like she got a headache or tired, who knows?

Her assistant reminded her of the meeting.

Sonakshi says: Not today.

Her assistant says: But...

Sonakshi blasts at her: Didn't I say not today?

Then she realises that she is being an ass. She says: I am sorry. I am not feeling well. Please postpone the meeting for now.

Me: If you are not feeling well, why are you at work? Stop making your colleagues life hell and also don't go home. Book a hotel room/spa/whatever and go off the grid. You are not fit to be in human company.

She gets a call. She picks it up and says: Didn't I say to cancel everything?

It's of course Bhaiya: What should I cancel?

Sona is surprised: Dev?

Bhaiya says: Normal people say hello when they pick up the phone. You say that you want to cancel.

Behena: Why did you call?

Bhaiya: First tell me, what do you want to cancel?

Behena: Meetings.

Bhaiya says: Good. You have cancelled meetings because you are going out with me.

Behena: What? Where?

Bhaiya doesn't say anything.

It's night time.

Bhaiya is ready. Behena comes out all dressed.

Me: Never once it's crossing her mind that this guy just got engaged and he asked me to go out at night without giving me any reason. I don't know any woman would ever be so shameless.

She looks at Bhaiya and is surprised to see Bhaiya in another Chunkey Pandey suit.

Me: Are those giant checked fabric cheap these days? Huge checks on top, huge checks on bottom. To top it off, even the shirt is checked. I feel like taking a red marker and start playing tic tac toe. Good timepass, no?

Anyhoo, Bhaiya walks to open the door.

Behena says: One minute. I remember. I can open my own door.

She pats him: Okay buddy?

Bhaiya is impressed: You got it. Let's go.

Behena sits inside and sees orchids in the backseat.

Bhaiya says: I have spend one hour each on every flower. I hope Payal likes it.

Me: I am a little shocked here. Sonakshi knew that Bhaiya is going to meet his fiance and she is tagging alone? And she was blasting Bijoy for pointing out the obvious? Behena, find your self-respect first and then open your mouth.

And Bhaiya, seriously? One hour for each flower? It's good thing this was not your 10th anniversary. You'd have celebrated it on 50th anniversary.

Bhaiya is about to drive when he said: One minute. When we pick her up, will you sit in the back? It won't look good that ex-wife is sitting in the front and the soon to be wife is sitting in the back. Come on Sonakshi. Friends can do this much for friends.

Sonakshi: Okay.

Me: Sorry. I was busy laughing. Bhaiya is concerned that it would look odd if ex-wife is sitting in the front and current fiance is sitting in the back. Not the fact that he is taking his ex to date his current fiance. I am wondering here, am I crazy to think this is weird as eff?

And Sonakshi, any smart woman would have get out then and there, go to the back seat, sit like a queen with orchids and let Bhaiya be the chauffeur until Payal gets in saying, why later? I will go sit in the back right now. For that matter, no self-respecting woman would have tagged along like a third wheel. But you are pathetic. So let it be.

Bhaiya starts to go.

Sonakshi says: One minute. What am I doing here? I mean the date is yours. I think I should get down.

Me (SHOCKED): Now you are thinking that? You didn't think that when you got ready and putting on your make up to be a third wheel or as we call it Kabab mein haddi?

Even if we can assume that you didn't know that it was their date, you still got dressed up to go out with a ENGAGED man. Are you even for real?

No, really. Where is your brain and when will it return?

Bhaiya says: Of course, you will have to come. You are the one who is helping me in explaining her everything. Besides you promised that until I get married, you will be by my side. And then.... Let's go.

Behena is shut up.

Me: Her mouth doesn't shut up in front of her dad, and it can't open in front of Bhaiya.

Let's see here, are you in the shower with Bhaiya everyday? How about when he is on toilet? Are you there with him? No?

Well then dating is just as private where a third person doesn't have any space. So that stupid excuse doesn't apply in that sitution.

Specially since Bhaiya is very happy in this marriage. You ensured his happiness and he is willing, now if he wants to kiss his fiance, will you sit there to see if they are doing it right?

Honestly!!! Some women are born moron.

Bhaiya again booked the whole restaurant. Never for Behena though.

Behena on the hand is sitting in the middle with Bhaiya on one side and Payal on the other.

Me: I swear I am getting interfering aunty vibes.

Bhaiya helps Payal sit. Since they are not married yet, he has to pretend to be a gentleman. Once the wedding is done, all bets are off.

Payal thanks him for the flowers.

Bhaiya says: Payal, I hadn't thought that when I think about second marriage, the girl I meet for the first time, I will start liking her.

Payal looks at Sonakshi. She feels awkward.

Bhaiya asks: You are happy, naa?

Payal smiles: Yes.

Me: I am sorry. I am trying to understand why Sonakshi agreed to be a furniture here. But then she is a masochist. May be sadism is her thing. No wonder Asha and her hates Bijoy. He is just too much loving and respectful.

Payal keeps getting calls and ignores it.

Payal says: Everyone is very happy about this marriage. Specially mom.

Bhaiya: Payal, I asked about you. Not about everyone.

Suddenly a man breaks into the restaurant.

The manager tries to stop him, but he doesn't stop.

Payal says: Karan? You here?

Bhaiya asks: Do you know him?

He says to the manager, It's okay. So he leaves.

Payal asks: Karan, why have you come here?

Karan: For you. I can't lose you so easily and if you marry someone else, then I will be ruined.

Me: Aaargghhh... Who speaks like that?

Payal: Look Karan, now it's too late. I don't have...

Karan gets down on his knees: It's not too late. I know I have hurt you a lot. I have gave up on those stupid business plans. I also got a job. Now I will work hard. Please trust me once.

Payal: Karan, look I...

Bhaiya steps in: Oye, you have come at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Karan: How dare you? I love Payal.

Bhaiya: And I am going to marry her. Leave her hand.

Karan slaps Bhaiya and he falls like Styrofoam box.

Sonakshi shouts: Dev...

She helps Bhaiya up and blasts Karan: Have you gone mad? How dare you raise a hand on him?

Me: Awww... So sorry. He just moved his hand accidentally and Bhaiya's cheek came in front of the swinging range. It was an accident. You know, like the accident Bhaiya's hand had with your father's cheek? You didn't react like this then, Behena?

Karan says: I can do anything for Payal.

Me: See? Just like Bhaiya could do anything for Maiya, he can do anything for Payal. Same to same.

Bhaiya steps in: You don't know what you have done.

Karan says: I very well know what I am doing. I will never let this marriage happen. This marriage is happening by force. Her mother forced her.

Behena is holding Bhaiya from charging. He looks shocked.

Karan: I know that you are rich. But you can't buy love with money.

Me: Tacky dialogue no. 2. My goodness how does Payal tolerate those cliches?

Bhaiya is about to talk to Payal and as usual Behena had to jump in.

She says: Your boyfriend is fighting for you, your mother is forcing you and you never told Dev if you are happy with this marriage or not. This is about your life. Now tell me. What do you want?

Me: I am wondering Behena, who made you Bhaiya's guardian? And who the eff are you to ask Payal anything? Are you his Mummy, her Mummy? No. Let Bhaiya ask the questions.

If Payal was a normal girl instead of Vicky's minion, she'd have asked Behena exactly that. Who the hell do you think you are?

Karan agrees: She is right, Payal. If you don't love me, then tell me. I will never meet you again.
Payal says: Karan, I love you. I don't want to marry Dev.

Bhaiya pretends to be upset: Payal...

Behena stops him: One minute, Dev.

She tells Karan: Karan, take Payal and go.

Bhaiya: What are you saying, Sonakshi?

Behana: Just wait. Let them go. If it's true love, then no one else should come in between them. You two get married. If you face any problem, then call me. I will help you. I promise.

Karan says: I am sorry for all this. Let's go Payal.

Payal says thank you to Behena and sorry to Bhaiya.

Karan and Payal leave.

Me: Again, interference queen could not help herself from behaving like the neighbourhood nosy aunty. Haven't you learned nothing from your experience that love is not enough? How do you know what was the reason for their break up? You don't know. Then why not let them figure out their life on their own?

Bhaiya is pretending to be angry at Behena: What have you done? Did you come here to marry me off or marry them? Do I have to remind you that?

Behena says: I can't believe this.

Bhaiya says: What?

Behena looks at Bhaiya: You want to do more drama?

Bhaiya: Drama?

Behena says: I know you, Dev Dixit. What did you think that I will believe that you didn't know that Payal had a boyfriend, to believe that you will get beaten by anyone and sit still? You want me to believe that anyone will beat you and you will do nothing and will stay this stupid line, "You don't know what you have done?" And when you came into hulk mode, I stopped you with one hand. Is that even possible?

Bhaiya is pretending innocence: What do you mean? I got beaten up by that guy deliberately?

Sonakshi: Obviously. You got beaten deliberately because this was your set up. You must have sent your spies behind Payal. You also must have given job to Karan as well. And somehow you sent the information to him that you are with Payal here and that's why he reached here. And then you picked me up so that I can see all this. You and your games. Tumi ekdom impossible and I am also so mad. Why couldn't I see all this before?

Bhaiya: It was necessary to play the games.

Behena: Necessary. Really. You could have said no to this alliance.

Bhaiya: I could have said no to marriage. But then how would someone realise that two people who love each other have so much power that no one can come between them?

Behena and Bhaiya eyelock.

Me: I don't know about you, Bhaiya. Behena always believed that when two people love each other, no one else can come between them. But that only applies when two people love each other. And by your attitude, no one will believe you know how to love. If smouldering glances combined with douche attitude were signs of love, Gaston from Beauty & the Beast will be the hero of the story.

Bhaiya: How would they realise?

Behena: You wanted them to realise, naa? Then you could have taken me into confidence.

Bhaiya: I know, Ms. Bose. Had I told you, you'd have made them understand in your way. Then how will that Karan be a hero in front of his girlfriend? I know, Sonakshi Bose what is love. Love is strength and love is also weakness. I can't make someone's weakness my strength. Everyone has the right to love and everyone has to right to get love.

Behena is looking at him.

Bhaiya smiles: But sometimes, you need to get little hurts to get love. When someone loves, then love stories are made. But when someone maintains love, it becomes fairy tale. And if you want to live a fairy tale, you will have to show a little courage.

Me: God!!! Why CVs why?

Let's see here. Bhaiya,

1. Women don't need a hero to rescue them and fight other men off. They need a life partner who will fight with life's obstacles by their side. You still didn't get it.

All Karan had to do is promise a lifetime of support and partnership with utmost sincerity and he'd have been Payal's hero. Not by knocking you off with a punch.

2. Love is strength only when it's sincere. Love is a weakness when it's convenient. Which is the case for you. You didn't try to take away Behena's fear by showing your commitment, you tried to make her crawl back to you in fear of losing you to someone else. That kind of love which is driven by fear is always a weakness, never a strength.

3. Sonakshi no longer believes in fairy tales. Thanks to you. Because between the two of you, you have let her down every single time. So instead of selling fairy tales, how about try selling something useful? Like reality?

Behena stares dumbly. Then she turns to go.

Bhaiya stops her: What?

Behena: I hate you.

Behena then goes back on staring like a moron.

Then she says: You were solving their problem. But you made me a pawn too. But I will have to admit, what you did was right.

Me: Moron. You were a bloody pawn, you duffer and you still are and always will be. Because he is playing a bloody game.

Bhaiya grabs her: What did I do right? I brought them together, was that the right thing or me saying no to marrying that girl?

Behena stares.

Bhaiya: Think about it. I am giving you time. Meanwhile, I will talk to Maa.

Me: Yep, as I said. A bloody game. And he talks about courage. Honesty takes courage, standing up and manning up takes courage, daring to win over a person you have wronged takes courage. Playing games doesn't take courage.

Ishwari picks up the phone and pretends to be sad: No beta. What could we have done? No worries. Okay...

She is happy.

Mamaji asks what happened.

Ishwari pretends to be sad.

But Mamaji catches her: You have made a face like a cat with a bowl of cream. You can't fool me. Tell me.

Ishwari smiles: Bhaiya, you know Dev said that he can't get married. That girl didn't want to marry and her mother was forcing her. So when Dev came to know it then he said no himself. God, thank you very much.

Mamaji: What did I say? That my nephew will never do anything wrong. Didn't I say it?

Ishwari says: Yes.

Radha hears everything standing outside and fumes: Whenever he opens his mouth, he sings praises for his nephew. Here his son's plan failed and he doesn't care.

Me: See, how much Asha and Sona are similar to Radha and Vicky? They also blame Mamaji for ruining their life when he doesn't know what is going on with them. The same way Asha and Sona blames Bijoy for their problems when he also doesn't know what is going on with them.

I have never thought that certified villain and so called wise women will have so much in common.

Bhaiya hangs the phone. Behena comes there.

Bhaiya raises his brow as if asking for her answer.

Behena says: You did right by bringing them together.

Bhaiya doesn't like that answer.

But he says: Good, very good. Super. Amazing. Fantastic. But what about me, Sonakshi. When will I get the one I am waiting for? I am still lonely no?

Behena stares. Bhaiya stares.

Me: That depends on you Bhaiya. What have you done to give confidence to Behena that she can trust you again? None. Then why are you asking her the question, you should be asking yourself?

Radha is lamenting to Vicky how her plan failed. Vicky said that he had set everything up. He had found out everything about her. He doesn't know where the sudden boyfriend showed up.

Suddenly Vicky gets a light bulb moment, Dev bhai. He must have moved that girl from his way.

Radha is worried. She is wondering the girl should have been working for them. How would Dev do it?

Vicky said that she doesn't know Dev. That girl is nothing in front of him. He knows Bhaiya. It won't be easy for them to play games with Bhaiya.

Radha says that if they don't do anything, Bangalan will marry Dev again. They have to find such a girl whom Bhaiya can't get rid off.

Vicky said that now that he knows everything, he will find a solution. This is the chance to control Bangalan, Dev and Ishwari. They won't make any mistake this time.

Me: Lol... Radha and Vicky are looking for Dev Dixit for Dev Dixit whom Dev Dixit can't get rid off.

Anyhoo, Bhaiya and Behena come home.

Ishwari sees Bhaiya teeny-miny injury and asks how did that happen?

Behena says: Some people like to walk on difficult paths. They are bound to get hurt.

Bhaiya: Whether the road is difficult or easy, it doesn't matter. It's important to reach destination. So what if I didn't reach my destination this time? I will reach there soon.

Behena says: Don't worry, auntyji. The injury is very minor. He will get well soon.

Ishwari says: Come, I will put some balm on it.

Bhaiya refuses.

Ishwari says: Beta, I think we should think this is God's warning. May be he is saying that one should not rush in the matter of marriage. And I was after you for no reason. But not any more. I was also feeling restless since yesterday. For that matter, you also didn't want to get married...

Bhaiya says: No Maa. When we face difficulties, we don't stop. We cross that hurdle and carry on. I agree that I didn't want to marry at first. But Sonakshi made me understood and I got it that I need a life partner in my life. Besides, I liked Payal. Now I didn't know that she loved someone else. Now if she had dared to tell me all this, this won't have happened, naa? They deserve each other's company, naa. Besides, just because we got hurt, it doesn't mean we should stop.

Then he turns to Sonakshi: Sonakshi, you get ready tomorrow. We will go to meet another girl.

Sonakshi looks at Bhaiya. Maiya looks at Bhaiya even more shocked.

Me: You know, Ishwari. You kept thinking Bhaiya is the innocent Gaiya (cow) and Sonakshi is his only Naiya (boat) and he certainly pretends so. But he is no innocent kid. He is as crafty as you from season one.

However, as long as he keeps claiming that he falls for every girl he meets, the more Behena's (okay may be not Behena, but for any rational woman's) trust will keep getting reduced.

And unlike Behena, most rational women don't marry a man they can't trust to be faithful.

But some women don't mind being part of a crowd. I was always a solo player.

PRECAP: The second option comes in with Bhaiya (seems like from Dixit mansion's garden).

Behena comes there and says: Everyone was asking about you.

The new girl (Nisha?) says to Sonakshi: We were just about to come in.

Bhaiya says: Yes.

The new girl says: But before coming in, I wanted to ask you two something. This is a big decision of my life and I don't want to take any risk.

Behena says: Go ahead.

The new girl says: Are you sure you don't want to get back together?

Behena and Bhaiya look at each other.

Me: Oh sure they do. Bhaiya is sadist and Behena is masochist, Bhaiya is a jerk and Behena is pathetic, Bhaiya is a player and Behena is a pawn... They are made for each other.

But sometimes, Bhaiya pretends to be a man in love and Behena pretends to be Cleopatra. (In D-Nile. Get it?)

NO RULES!!! YAY!!!

Comments

  1. Excellent analysis Tia, but come on yaar these 2 are 6-year-old kids, they still have a lot of growing up to do. This guy saw his daughter being upset bcoz of his jealousy drama himself, yet like a typical kid he was thinking that his daughter shouldn't have lied to him rather than soothing her. Her so-called strong independent mother is babysitting her dad and looks like she entirely forgot she has a daughter and playing right into the hands of her ex. Talking through an issue, clearing the misunderstanding, earning trust and manning up are for grownups.

  2. Yesterday Gauri replied to my comment that heroes are only by good looks and popularity. And for very few, by actually being a hero.

I was just thinking that Dev ONLY has a fanbase. That too only 30% of what he used to. Hero qualities and frankly, good looks too is what Jatin has.

Therefore, I am going to request that if any romantic scene happens, please replace Dev with Jatin. For me, please. I miss him.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yep. Jatin is everything a woman would want in a husband and Dev is everything he is not. That stands to reason that any self-respecting woman would rather die single than have Dev Dixit as husband. Thank you very much.

If Sonakshi wanted a second baby, she could have adopted one from an orphanage than adopting Ishwari's baby who refuses to grow up.

    2. I wish they wud have given a much more meaningful role to Jatin. Either he left the show or they ll show him dancing in Sona's marriage. What a pity.

      Delete
    3. I wish that too Anku.

Yeh kya flower pot role hai? Ritwick wasn't this layered and didn't even have this much potential but he had better role in progressing the story. Especially when he called out on Dev's bullshit.

Why are they doing this to Jatin??

  3. Taking a risk of sounding silly, mine is an arranged marriage and it's accountability rests with just the2 of us. Sure the heady giddy feeling of love isn't there, but when one of the partner'mans up' and stands by you, the 'rush' comes in full force. Even as a young girl I'd always look for sturdy, steady, sensible people... A 35 yr old who gives the looks to a prospective bride he just met is the definition of who not to choose as life partner.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Exactly. I was just giving an example of how people think that they can shirk from their responsibilities. Even in arranged marriage, the responsibilities lie with the couple because they agreed to it. They weren't forced or blackmailed or tricked into the alter.

What I gave example of is when someone wants to be forced to get married, what goes in their head.

Sometimes people want to be forced when they don't want to take the responsibility. For example, if Sonakshi doesn't stop the marriage and Bhaiya has to marry, we know very well, Bhaiya will blame Sonakshi for not forcing him. But if Sonakshi forces Bhaiya to stop the marriage and it doesn't work out, Bhaiya will still blame Sonakshi for forcing it.

So either way, he will never take accountability for his actions.

  4. What's with this part time parenting? Dev and Sona attend to Soha when they want! Ridiculous

    ReplyDelete

    1. Because none of them wants to be parents. They each wanted Soha until the other wanted her. The moment they both agreed to share Soha, none of them are interested in her.

They are kids, not parents. Remember?

I sometimes think that it's good that we get weird episodes. At least we get a very good dose of laughter reading ur posts. If everything wud have been sensible on the show we wud have missed ur hilarious analysis of the characters. Tic tac toe on Bhaiya's suit. Can't control laughing. His character was made like a joker and a puppet by the CVs. Now he is dressing up also like one.

  6. Tia, you are awesome and funny as always. Call me a sadist, but watched the episode just to see bhaiya get slapped, wow. This guy Karan's dialogues were hilarious, but guy is strong I should say. He did what bhaiyaji actually deserved.

best line -Me: Oh sure they do. Bhaiya is sadist and Behena is masochist, Bhaiya is a jerk and Behena is pathetic, Bhaiya is a player and Behena is a pawn... They are made for each other.

so true both are useless and confusing .
today no offense tia i felt dev acted as if he was srk of ddlj but looked like loser basically both are egoist losers one doesn't learn from his mistakes never try to mend things the other keep doing the same mistakes and blame others who herself digs a hole fall on and blame bijoy ..she doesn't blame ishwari who never allowed her to meet dev but ya blames bijoy who stood by her like shadow ...u said it classy they deserve each other.
i am so pissed off tia today the way sona behaved with bijoy i would have killed her bijoy doesn't deserve this ...sona deserves dixits who always humiliates her kicks her ...
there is a saying no offense tia bare with my words "a dog doesn't deserve to be royal seat it never changes its weird behavior "same with sona no matter how bijoy treat her like a queen of the house but sona wants to be in dixits were ppl are always ready to use her as doormat ..
asha amazed me she was the one jumping 2 months back to get sona hitched to jatin but see her know crying mountain to unite with this loser ...
lol tia nauttanki dev backwas dialogue about courage and lou looked so fake he can fight for others but becomes a rat when it comes to fight for sona ..
sona has lost it she is behaving as if sick in lou puppy her brain is on vacation why she is behaving as a wedding planner to this loser ...
backwas script hai tia ....when will this torture end yaar

I honestly couldn't not figure out who was the bigger moron. I must say, it was a tie today.

But Sona was definitely the bigger jerk today. Fair enough. If she has to live under Bhaiya's feet, she must match his personality.

      [a women deeds a prince who stands for her even if he isn't rich also it doesn't matter (thick and thin if they walk along hand to hand shoulder to shoulder shadow to shadow thats enough for a lady to be happy basic needs respect good heart thats all it is to be a good couple but were is it in dev he is everything to others minus sona }

      {once a loser always a loser dev ppl would change if such things occur but dev never learned neither sona nor ishwari -asha useless bunch making bijoy a fool in all this }

      3. Sonakshi no longer believes in fairy tales. Thanks to you. Because between the two of you, you have let her down every single time. So instead of selling fairy tales, how about try selling something useful? Like reality?

      true tia

    2. Ha ha. Thank you. Very true. Once a loser, always a loser. And this applies to both Bhaiya and Sona.

  9. Do tell me if you feel also the same that the show has really lost it's charm. Last year around the same time i used to watch the episode, read the updates in my office and sometimes during the meetings as well having my employees and clients staring at me! The thrill was such but nowadays i work from home not even work just pass the work to other employees but still haven't watched the show for the past one month and have only relied on Tia's update here and previously on IF.
Teenage kids might find the show interesting but us married people find it anything but not even a inch close to reality

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yep. That's precisely it. For us married people, this looks like more of a farce than real love. And hence people have lost all connection to the show. If we wanted to watch people playing games, there are millions of saas-bahu serials out there. We wanted sincere emotions and this is anything but sincere.

  10. So are the writers expecting us to forget that the breakup was bitter, and there was a SEVEN YEAR separation? Because the characters are acting as if the separation wasn't that long and bitter.

what is this talk of love stories and fairy tales? Did Dev forget he too didn't uphold his marriage vows? It sounded like he was blaming Sonakshi for their state today.
The writers have re-written Dev's character sketch at least 5 times, it's hard to keep track of what this character actually stands for and wants (other than the lust he has for Sonakshi)

So Dev can use his powers to find Payal's boyfriend but can't use his powers to solve the Khatri case or find Sonakshi 8 years ago?

How did Bijoy become the villan all of a sudden? Whatever he did was a reaction to the mistreatment by Dixits. He never once schemed to separate Dev and sonakshi, unlike Ishwari who did scheme and start problems from nothing. So how did everyone and their mom forgive Ishwari and tell her she is not at fault but everyone is pissed at Bijoy?

this re-marriage track is basically the infertility track, Ishwari wants something and Sonakshi is now forcing Dev (Dev forced Sonakshi for the baby)

I don't know if the actors were just tired today, but I think the chemistry is not really as strong anymore.

    1. I am pretty sure CVs want us to have selective amnesia. Because this makes no sense to me is why any woman will run after a guy who flirts with anyone in skirt and totally ga-ga over every woman he meets when she has already lost all trust on him? How will it build trust?

Bijoy became villain the day he started to behave like a father, instead of cowed father of a daughter who always ready to lower his head in front of his daughter's in-laws like Asha does.

Ishwari is goddess so nothing is ever her fault. Besides she gave birth to Dev, the God. That is itself worthy of a noble prize. Bijoy on the hand, has given birth to Sona, the ungrateful pathetic excuse of a woman. He should be punished for that crime.

  11. Really the show feels so disconnected. There is no consistency in the characters. They change their attitude and behaviour overnight(within hours actually). This engagement track seems so boring and repetitive. I don't watch the episodes half the time and only rely on updates. How far can the actors take the scenes if they are written badly and more importantly there is no logic. Hence they seem to lack the chemistry big time. The worst part is that the scenes are not at all connected to each other. Something random keeps happening and we wonder how come this person is behaving in a particular way though his behaviour was complete opposite in the previous episode.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree. I'd like to know what chemistry can there be when a man is jumping in excitement for the prospect of marriage yet expects his ex to come crawling back to him so that he can stroke his ego, despite knowing her trust issues. So no, there is no logic and no chemistry anywhere.

  12. Spot on stuff Tia. The parents children blame game is something that I've never liked. In my case I got a lot of suggestions for my career but I chose what I wanted only so that if by chance it would've gone wrong it would've been me alone responsible. In a way I never like giving credit for a decision no matter how sad or happy it turns out to be at the end.

Here no one is able to take a firm stand in anything. Grown up adults, parents of a 6 year old kid having no voice of their own is really laughable! What to say now, day by day the whole serial seems to be going farther from sense.

I'm terribly and awfully feeling bad for Bijoy. The only person in the house who's reacting like a normal person should've and yet been treated with glares and frowns!

P.S: I just remembered, this time last year a very beautiful phase of our serial was on going. Garhhh....I miss those days!

    1. Exactly. I still don't know why is Bijoy getting flogged in spite of not having all information, lied to and on top of that, never being any part of Ishwari and Bhaiya's mechanism?

Sona is ready to prostate at Ishwari's feet and is panting after Bhaiya. But she is using Bijoy like a whipping post like Ishwari used to use Bhaiya for and Bhaiya used to use Behena for.

Wow, such a circle of abuse. When you don't have guts to deal with problems, blame someone else for your failure.

  14. LOL! You never know Tia, your tic tac toe on his checked suit might be the latest fashion! :D Anyways I could not understand this whole Payal thing. Vicky and Mami are really losing touch. They arranged for a girl who had a boyfriend. They got more time to research on the girls and this is what they got! And our super efficient Dev didn't even take a day to find out about her boyfriend, gave a job, gave him where to contact the lady in a jiffy! If it is so easy then why didn't he bother once to find out about Sona when he knew they don't even have house to live! Kuch rang pyar ke aise bhi!

Sona also is super quick to gauge that it is all Dev's doing! So obviously she knows how he feels about it. What is stopping her in saying her exact fears. That she loves him but she is not sure about his 'man up' nature. She has no trust in him.

Anyways now another girl has come in this circus! So lets wait for her boyfriend or some such thing which wont make her an innocent target in this whole charade.

Kya se kya ho gaya is serial ka!

    1. Ha ha. Thanks Jas. Mami and Vicky were in as much hurry as Ishwari was to bag Sona. That's why both miscalculated.

You don't win over someone's trust with haste. Trust takes a moment to break and forever to build.

However, I don't see why Sonakshi is continuing with pretence and taking it out on others. If she is that pathetic, she can go and beg in front of Bhaiya. If she thinks that their relationship won't work even in a million years, then spare others and go on a vacation.

Stop behaving like a despo chick pathetic for crumbs of attention.

  15. Tia,you're a life saver.

I hate all except Bijoy and Golu...
Seriously pissed off with this track...becoming too unbearable.

The new segments show Sonakshi standing her ground and refusing to budge.
Some spoiler says she'll do the drama on his wedding...probably bcoz Soha will panic and share the truth of both Dev-Ish planning to Sona and Bijoy. Sonakshi wont think twice if she comes to know Dev is going to be the bakra just to make her confess....she can never see him in pain/suffering...he'll stop all nonsense.

I'll watch after the OTT mandap drama is over bcoz honestly neither the confession nor the OTT goes with Sona's character...and I'm least interested to hear her shouting.

Maaf kar do....goodlooking leads ke chakkar mein itna jyada nahi jhela jaa raha hai.

    1. Thank you, Gauri. Yep, this track is literally making me frustrated because of the stupidity of the two leads.

What I'd like to know if Bhaiya thinks that girls are like collateral damage to getting what he wants.

He said exactly what I thought suits his character yesterday. He said that jo bhi mujhe chahiye, main hasil kar ke rahunga. Lekin hasil karne mein aur paane mein farq hota hain.

You can manipulate one's feelings and use it to get them, but will they truly belong to you? I doubt it.

And Sonakshi is another sample. She can't tolerate Bhaiya treating her like trash and his unpaid assistant. So she is taking it out by treating others like trash including Bijoy.

      Shame on both of them.
