Tia's Thread - Weeping Willow!!!

I had already talked about Ishwari and Bhaiya in my last two posts. So it stands to reason, I will also continue on with Sonakshi.

She reminds me of Willow tree. It's a delicate yet resilient tree with slender branches.

Willow bark is soft and pliable despite it's size, so the wood can be moulded easily and also any heavy wind or storm can uproot this tree and make it fall.

However, due to strong roots, this tree is a survivor. It spreads its roots far and wide and also grows fast.

Willow has a permanently mourning look. Hence the name Weeping Willow.

Now let's come back to Sonakshi. Like the willow tree, she is slender but strong and a survivor.

But she is also easily pliable. Anyone can mould her to their thinking.

She is very good at standing up for someone else. But she can't stand up for herself.

Also, she loves martyrdom way too much. She is raised by Asha, so it stands to reason that she would forever compromise her happiness for others.

What I find surprising though is that despite refusing to marry to please her family, she expects Bhaiya to marry to please his family.

She didn't even bother to think that when any woman in Dev's life finds out that Sonakshi knew Dev's obsession with Sonakshi, yet she didn't inform her before arranging her marriage, would blame her first for ruining her life.

And she would be right because Sonakshi would be arranging Dev's marriage under false pretence hiding pertinent information.

Anyhoo, these days I have absolutely no respect left for the two leads. So I guess in that way, they are balanced.

EPISODE: The episode starts with Bhaiya and Behena's scene where we left off.

Behena says: You think that you won't be able to forgive me, right? Don't worry. It happens. People can't wipe out their memories but they learn to live with them. And you will also learn. I promise. And in that I will help you. But you will have to marry.

Me: Could you be any more insensitive and patronising, Behena? Whether you love someone or not, you have no right to mock their feelings. If I were Bhaiya and someone mocked my feelings the way you did, I'd have told him to take off. I will make decision of my life. Thanks but no thanks. No friend ever force or mock another's feelings like that. Sonakshi has turned into a jerk. Who the hell are you to force marriage on anyone?

Bhaiya asks: Why are you so desperate to get me married?

Behena responds: Because Dev you think now that you are happy like this and that you don't need anyone. But how long? One day you will realise anyway and when you will realise that you need a life partner and you want to share your life with someone you will put pressure on yourself. And you will put so much pressure on yourself that you will take wrong decision. And I don't want that.

Me: I honestly thought she could not get any more patronising than before. But I was wrong. She can get even more patronising. First of all, that excuse is so idiotic that it doesn't even sound convincing. Secondly, when Bhaiya wants to share his life, he can share with anyone at any point. There is an age restriction for marriage but there is no upper limit. It's not as if Bhaiya's biological clock is ticking. But it's not up to you to decide what you want. It's up to Bhaiya to decide what he wants.

What surprises me is that she accused Bijoy of interfering. But isn't she interfering in Bhaiya's life? She doesn't want to come back in his life - fine and dandy. But why is she to force him to marry?

Whether Bhaiya wants to marry, his choice.

Who he wants to marry, his choice.

If he doesn't want to marry, also his choice.

And it's no one else's business or choice.

Bhaiya asks: So you came here to convince me that all of this is right? I thought that you came to say sorry for the mistake you made by saying yes to Maa. But no. You want to make another mistake.

Behena: This is not a mistake, Dev.

Bhaiya: Fine. Fine.

Behena: Fine, means?

Bhaiya: I don't know whether it's right or wrong. But I will get married.

Behena is shocked.

Bhaiya: Won't you ask why? I will marry only because you want me to marry. Introduce me to girls. From now until the wedding is complete, you will stand by my side. And once it's over, you won't ever look back at me.

Then he raises his hand: But you will have to promise me that you will do exactly that.

He takes Sonakshi's hand and puts it in his: Because you have become friend. So you will have to maintain it.

Behena looks shocked.

Me: This was so ludicrous that I didn't feel anything at all.

Bhaiya, you always wondered why you are in such an eff-ed up condition? It's because you lack a spine. You get manipulated because you are easily manipulated.

You can't stick to your decision.

First you were okay being married because Mummy said so.

Then you got offended at Sona arranging your marriage.

Then you were adamant at not being married.

And now you are again ready for marriage because Sonakshi said so.

WTF?

When will you take a decision because you want it and stick by it despite who wants what?

And such flattering terms for your future wife to acquire a husband who is hung up on his ex-wife and married her for the said ex-wife. And to top the insult, she can't even get rid of the ex because she is mother of his child.

Great!!!

And Sonakshi, why are you shocked? You got what you came here for. Now get going. By the way Sonakshi, if the new wife wants you to disappear leaving Soha behind, I hope you will do it. After all you have to pay the price for your part in her misery.

I can't tolerate women like you who play games.

Sonakshi comes home. Bijoy asks her to sit and talk to him.

She makes excuse and goes upstairs.

Asha follows her.

Sona gets a call from Ishwari.

Ishwari winks at Soha and asks if she talked to Dev and he agreed to marriage?

Me: You poor lady. In season one, you underestimated Bhaiya's commitment to Sona and in season two, you overestimated his love.

Sonakshi says that Bhaiya agreed for marriage.

Ishwari is shocked. She says: He agreed so easily?

Sonakshi says: You wanted this, no?

Ishwari says: Yes. I wanted this.

Sonakshi says: I think you should start fixing meetings from tomorrow.

Ishwari says: So let's talk about arranging meetings soon. Isn't it?

Sonakshi: Yes.

Ishwari: Dev said yes, that doesn't mean your work is done. You have to do everything else as well.

Sonakshi agrees. She said that she will manage everything.

Ishwari asks her to come the next morning to see the pictures. Sona can choose which pictures should be shown to Dev...

Behena agrees.

Asha hears everything.

Ishwari hangs up the phone and says: Poor thing sounded sad.

Soha asks: Who?

Ishwari says: Your Mamma, who else?

Soha also gets sad.

Ishwari says: What happened to you?

Soha says: Dadi, will Mamma always be this sad?

Ishwari says: No beta. The night is darkest just before daylight.

She hugs Soha.

Soha says: But I wake up at 6:45. By that time sun uncle comes out.

Ishwari laughs: That means that this little sadness will make your Mamma happy. And you are also there to make her happy. Like this...

She tickles Soha and makes her laugh.

Me: Yep, practice making your Mamma happy. Because if it's left to your dad, he doesn't have the guts to stand up for his own happiness, how will he make anyone else happy?

At Bose house, Sona hangs the phone and Asha comes in.

She asks: What happened? Dev agreed?

Sona doesn't say anything.

Asha says: Well, you also wanted that. No? You still think that whatever is happening is right?

Sonakshi doesn't say anything.

Asha leaves.

Me: Asha, listen to me carefully. Dev agreed for marriage. Did it ring any bell in your head? If he was truly as committed as you think any woman deserves, then come hell or high water, he won't have agreed. So what is right or wrong about it? Sonakshi made a decision. Bhaiya made a decision. Now they will just have to stick to it.

Although, the good news for you is that Bhaiya doesn't have a good track record of making a decision and sticking to it. So there you go.

Ishwari is in her room when Radha comes there.

Ishwari asks if she brought the pictures. Radha says that how can she not do what Ishwari asked? (*SNORT*) Does she want to see them?

Ishwari says that what's the point in seeing their picture which is not going to happen? She doesn't want to hurt any of these women. And no one will feel bad because Dev will say no before they even meet. The moment he sees the pictures, he will realise who he wants. (*SNORT*).

Radha fake smiles. She says: I am understanding your planning. You want that Dev's first love comes back in his life. But you meet these girls and also introduce them to Dev. Who knows? His heart might start beating for one of them.

Ishwari: Bhabhi, have you ever heard that the sun rises twice in one day? My Dev is also the sun. Whether rain comes or cloud forms, it doesn't matter to him. The one he was supposed to love, he did. Now we show him any number of pictures, he already has a picture in his heart. Sonakshi.

Radha starts choking.

Me: I am choking too. In laughter. Maiya, woh Bhaiya hua purana. Yeh Bhaiya ki kuch aur hi hain tevar. 8 saal se itne ladkiyan ghumake kaafi experienced ho gaye hain. Ab kahan Sonakshi ke chakkar mein celibate banke baithe rahenge? Waise bhi, ab jab ghar mein rehne lage hain to caretaker bhi to chahiye.

(Maiya, that Bhaiya is older version. This version is something else. He has gathered quite an experience in 8 years. Now he can hardly stay celibate for Sonakshi. Now that he has started to stay back at his home, he also needs a caretaker, no?)

Ishwari says to Radha to put those pictures in an album. Dev must feel that they are not joking. He has to get married.

Radha fake laughs and leaves.

Me: You know, Ishwari. You are going to be in big trouble with Soha when she sees you arranging her father's wedding outfit. I hope you have your excuses ready.

Radha comes to Vicky and tells her what Ishwari is planning. Vicky says that he will have to execute his plans. Radha tells him that the ace is still in their hand. Their ace will turn Ishwari's planning upside down.

Me: That's correct. Ishwari has put Radha in charge of finding girls for Dev. So she can make sure every girl she brings is her and Vicky's hired pawn.

And of course, Bhaiya is right now gearing for marriage.

We all know who will regret this entire fiasco more than Sonakshi. That is Maiya.

Bhaiya is sitting in his room staring at the computer.

Ishwari thinks standing at the door: I know because of me you two are hurting. But you can wipe out this pain anytime you want. Why don't you admit that you two love each other?

Bhaiya sees Ishwari and asks her to come in.

Ishwari asks if he can take time off tomorrow. If he likes the girls she has selected for him, he can meet one of them tomorrow.

Bhaiya says: Yes, of course. Let's meet them tomorrow. I will take time off.

Ishwari is shocked at his enthusiasm: You are ready?

Bhaiya says in a normal voice: Yes. What happened?

Ishwari said: No. Nothing happened. Sonakshi had said that she has talked to you. So I thought I'd also talk to you and ask you if she forced you too much. You are not saying being exasperated?

Bhaiya: Why will I get exasperated? Everyone wants good for me. You and Sonakshi also want good for me. So what's the problem getting married? Now Suhana also agreed. She also said yes.

Ishwari is shocked out of her skull.

Bhaiya: Maa, listen. You and Sonakshi know me better than I know myself. So whatever you two decide you must be right.

Ishwari: Yes, we know you very well. We will take the right decision. But it must be your decision too, naa? Don't take this decision under pressure. This is your life. You will have to get married.

Bhaiya: Maa, I know. Whoever you two choose for me, will be good for me. What good, she will be perfect. Sonakshi made me understand that I can't spend my entire life alone. So I am ready for marriage.

Bhaiya leaves.

Ishwari can't believe her plan backfired.

Me: Can I sing a song?

Tum ne phenka jaal
Ulti pad gayee chaal...
Ab Ms. bhuchal...
Shaadi ka arrangement kijiye...

(You spread the web, it backfired. Now Ms. Earthquake, make arrangement for the wedding)

Didn't I tell you Maiya that think before you try to trick anyone? Obviously it didn't occur to you to have a plan B if your first plan doesn't work out.

Soha is drawing something when Golu comes there sad and sits down on the floor by her bed.

Soha smiles and asks if Golu wants to draw with her.

Golu shakes his head.

Soha asks: Why are you looking so sad?

Golu says: Nothing.

Soha asks again.

Golu says: I don't know if you will like it or not.

Soha says: Whatever it may be. You can share with me anything.

Golu says: Suhana, do you know BigCha is getting married.

Soha smiles.

Golu is shocked: You are smiling?

Soha controls her smile: No no. I am not smiling. Look I am so sad.

Golu says: I knew it. It's very sad feeling. I know this is also painful for you. Didn't I tell you in camp that they will get back together? But this has turned all wrong. I am sorry Suhana. (Golu pats her)

Soha tries to control her smiles.

She says: It's okay Golu.

Golu, being fiercely loyal, promises: I promise you Suhana. I won't like the new BigChi and won't even play with her. I like ex BigChi.

Soha says: But if new BigChi is like ex BigChi, then?

Golu: I still won't play with her.

Soha says: I won't have any problem with her. We can try to like her, no?

Golu: No Suhana. When Golu makes a commitment, he doesn't even listen to himself, or his mother, or his father. You also don't like her.

Soha: Okay Golu. I will do whatever you do.

Golu: I am feeling so sad and you are smiling?

Soha: No no. I was trying to hide my sadness. So that you don't get sad.

Soha turns her head to hide her smile.

Golu gets up from the floor: Suhana, I know you care about me. But you don't worry. I am your brother. I will always take care of you and I will always be with you.

Me: The reason I love Golu is exactly because of this. In today's fickle world where everyone is chasing after the next excitement, this fierce loyalty is a rare thing. When he loves, he doesn't hold anything back. He gives his love, support, trust, forgiveness, adoration and blind loyalty.

I am loyal like that and so is my husband. But we both have met people in life for whom loyalty is circumstantial which changes in different situations.

Another person who is fiercely loyal and one I also admire is Bijoy.

Bijoy and Golu never got chance to bond. But if they had, he will find Golu to be a mini him.

Had Golu been Sona and Dev's son, Dev would have a higher mountain to climb to win his loyalty than he had to for Soha.

The difference between Golu and Soha is that Soha, like her Dadi thinks it's perfectly fine to manipulate people for their own good and Golu doesn't manipulate anyone except just wants the people he loves to be happy.

I hope, I get to see Golu's love story instead of Bhaiya and Behena's annoying games.

Ishwari is in her room. Mamaji comes there.

He says that she must be happy that she got her wish. He has heard that Dev agreed to meet girls the next day.

Ishwari says: That's why I am tensed.

Mamaji is surprised: Means what? That's what you wanted no?

Ishwari says: What do you mean this is what I wanted? I didn't know this will happen so soon. Dev said yes so easily.

Mamaji: What?

Ishwari: If Dev doesn't realise that he will lose Sonakshi, then how will it be possible?

Mamaji: You don't worry. (He thinks a bit) If they love each other, then they can never get separated.

Ishwari smiles: They love a lot.

Mamaji: Isn't it? Look, Dev hasn't selected any girls yet. I believe that what you want will happen.

Ishwari: May what you say happens.

Mamaji: Yes, Dev can never make such huge mistake. He will understand while there's still time that Sonakshi is his destination.

Ishwari is pacified: You think so, no? But what if Sonakshi doesn't understand?

Mamaji: What can I do? Slap you?

Ishwari: I am just getting scared...

Me: And you should be if you listen to your brother's idiotic advice.

Let me clarify this for you.

Mamaji's speech is that if those two love each other, they can never be separated.

Strange, how that exactly what happened 8 years ago.

Did they love each other then? Yes.

Did they still get separated? Yes.

How would your brother explain that, eh?

According to him, Dev will never let Sonakshi go and he will understand while there's still time.

Really? I didn't see him understand it 8 years ago. I didn't see him getting Sonakshi back. Then why would this time be any different?

Just then Ishwari's phone rings. She picked up the phone. It's interfering Asha.

She greets Ishwari.

Ishwari greets her back.

Asha says she wanted to talk to her. So if she can meet her.

Ishwari agrees. Asha wants to meet immediately.

Asha says that she will send her message where to meet.

Ishwari goes to a temple like place.

Asha says: Ishwari ji, I want to talk to you about Dev and Sona.

Ishwari asks her to sit. She refuses.

Asha says: Ishwari ji, I have said nothing in all these years. What is happening now is not right. You are not doing right. It's wrong.

Me: That's my question to you, Asha. Why have you not said anything then? Did you think what was happening then was right? Then why didn't you call Ishwari and talk to her like you are doing now?

Why did you encourage your daughter then to go fight for her self-respect if you don't care for the same self-respect today by begging to the mother of an adult man to stop a wedding he himself gave consent to?

Ishwari asks her to sit.

Asha says: No, I know. You had a lot of problem with Dev and Sona's relationship. But you see since they met, how happy they are. My Sona laughs, smiles. It seems as if someone has put life in Sona. If you get your son married, they will get separated forever.

Me: Asha, I am not getting you. Did you think the separation that happened 8 years ago was temporary? Did you not think that had you taken a stand for your daughter, had you fought for her then, she may not had to live 8 years separated from Dev?

But then you along with your family were on the street. So you needed Sona at your corner. But now you are well-settled. So you have no problem trying to saddle Sona with a man who never fought for her and never will.

Asha continues: I have seen my daughter crying in private, to hide those papers which used to publish articles on Dev. When she sees Soha happy, she used to get tears in her eyes. When I used to ask, she used to say that those are tears of happiness. My daughter is very intelligent. But she is lying to herself now. And the way I have observed Dev, he is also lying to himself. They need each other. If you get Dev married, you will separate them forever. They love each other a lot.

Me: Oh really? Did you think about that so-visible love when you were arranging Sona's marriage with Jatin or someone else? If this was so visible that you could feel her pain, then why did you suggest marriage to her? What if Sonakshi had said yes then? Will you like it if then Ishwari comes to you and tells you about her son's pain 8 years after the divorce?

This hypocrisy is the reason I can't relate to you.

Because for you, everything turns back to your daughter's marital status. I have no doubt that if Sonakshi says today that she wants to marry Jatin, you will happily start arranging her wedding.

Ishwari says: When did I say that they don't love each other?

Asha is surprised.

Ishwari says: Ashaji, I agree with your every words. They don't want to hurt each other and wants to save Suhana from all hurts, that's why they are lying to each other. I gave Sonakshi the responsibility to fix Dev's marriage so that our children recognise the love they have for each other.

Asha looks like someone told her that Christmas and Diwali arrived together for her.

Ishwari says: I want Sonakshi to come back to my house as my daughter-in-law.

Asha: What? But you always wanted...

Me: Really? But I thought you were convinced that Maiya wants Sonakshi back in Bhaiya's life long before she actually did. At least that's what you tried to convince Bijoy so that he doesn't become a barrier between his daughter and Dev.

Ishwari says: You thought that I again want to separate them? It's not your fault. The fault is mind. I just kept calling my Dev a diamond. But I could not recognise the Gold that came in my home. I could not understand your daughter.

Asha thought now it's time to butter up since everything is going her way: Whatever happened was not your fault.

Me: Hain? If it was not her fault, then it was Bhaiya and Behena's fault. Since they haven't changed, doesn't that mean that whatever happened 8 years ago will be repeated again?

Ishwari: Your daughter says the same thing. She is like you. She never blames anyone for anything. She manages everything. This courage in her also must have come from you.

Me: You are absolutely right, Maiya. Sonakshi takes after Asha. But what you are calling courage, is not courage. It's martyrdom which apparently a must have in every Indian daughter-in-law. You don't need courage to conform. You need patience to endure. Courage is needed to stand up and protest and forge one's own destiny.

Ishawari: I said sorry to Sonakshi when I realised my mistake. It won't be easy for you to forgive me. But I would still want to ask you for forgiveness. I want to rectify my mistakes. Please just give me another chance.

She holds Asha's hands: Ashaji, for us, nothing is more important than our children's happiness. But look our children are running from their own happiness.

Asha: What you are trying to do is very difficult. My Sona won't agree.

Ishwari: My Dev isn't any less stubborn either. May be that's why God brought them together. What I am trying to do is difficult. But if you support me, this difficulty will get easier.

Asha smiles and agrees.

Me: These days I am finding Ishwari to be a lot more genuine than Asha. I don't find anything she is saying is genuine since this entire time she only had one goal - to get Sona married. At least Ishwari is only trying to marry Dev with Sonakshi.

Sonakshi is sitting by the window and thinking what Bhaiya said.

Bijoy brings her coffee.

Sonakshi thanks him.

Bijoy says: I have always taught you to be strong. Your mother used to say we should not leave everything to Sona. She is still young. But I used to say no. She will handle everything. If she has any problem, she will tell us. But it doesn't mean that I didn't know about your problems.

Sonakshi says: Baba, I am not getting what you are saying. What are you talking about?

Bijoy: I know everything. Dev Dixit is marrying again. This is very good news that Dev is getting married again. Now he will go away from your life and you will also be able to focus on your life. This is good for everyone.

Sonakshi: I know Baba.

Bijoy: Drink coffee and fix your mood.

Sonakshi gives him fake smile.

Me: I don't know why anyone can blame Bijoy for Sonakshi and Dev's separation? He is very clear on what he thinks. Sonakshi says something, does something else. That's her problem. Bhaiya never proved in any way that he has any guts to win Bijoy's respect. That's his problem.

Sonakshi won Ishwari's respect. But the only reason Bhaiya is still on Behena's life because she doesn't much care about respect - neither hers nor his. In that way, she is just like Asha.

Bijoy is the only honourable character in the show along with Golu. And that's why I love these two the most.

I still remember Sonakshi's dialogue when she was leaving Dev. She had said that the love and faith, he has made a joke out off, that will never return in his life.

But now she is practically panting to return without Bhaiya doing anything.

This is exactly why some women suffer and yet keep blaming God and fate for their idiocy.

PRECAP:  Sonakshi asks Ishwari where is Dev and whether he has changed his mind.

Ishwari says: No Sonakshi. He has said himself that he is ready for marriage.

Golu shows Soha a picture: Look Soha, your new Mummy.

Behena feels uncomfortable.

Behena says: Auntyji, who takes so much time? I will go and see.

She gets up and turns and just then Bhaiya comes in a suit Ranveer Singh will happily wear, clean shaven, but still no hair cut.

But who cares?

Bhaiya gets stunned.

Me: I have a question. Did CVs burn all the suits Bhaiya had from season one? That is a hideous suit only Ranveer Singh can pull off.

Also, whoever did his shave, could have used his scissors to chop off his curly locks. That hair is as bad as the suit.

NO RULES!!! YAY!!!

  1. Soumya here...

Hope you had a nice long weekend Tia! I had a blast of time over the weekend...we went to tahoe with some friends and rented a cabin there...it is Beautiful this time of the year!

I just finished up reading your last 3 posts....I must say excellent analogies that you have drawn in regards to the leads and nature....I am planning to watch the last few episodes...

    1. Hey Soumya,

I have heard Lake Tahoe is very pretty area. I have never been there before. But definitely want to go one day.

Thanks for the compliment. I just did not know what else to write about this idiocy on screen. Lol... As you can see my frustration level is running pretty high these days.

    2. With such idiocy at such peaks, no wonder everyone here is frustrated!

Looks like Golu, Soha scene is lovely... Golu is such a sweet heart...wish Elena notices that and turns around....

Maiyya,...Maiyya....she is so contradicting her own statements...one moment she says my interference ruined Dev and Sona's relation....but again....she does the same thing...again takes decision for others....this new idea of hers is going to back fire big time....and this time I hope Dev realizes that it is him that has to take control of his life...and not Maiyya or Sona or Soha...

Sona is complete gone case now...who in right mind agree to check girls for her ex and father of her kid???you are being surrounded by all morons - Elena, Asha and Ish...who are impairing your sense of judgement...

and one question to CVs - which business magnet has so much time when they are managing such huge business empires??? please let me know, I would want to do such business :P :P

  2. Someone shoot me in head. Someone shoot them in head. So much idiocy in the name of sacrifice and love of in-laws, begging to unite lovers (where was this last 7yrs???) And people plotting regardless of two parties having any say in that...ugh!!!

    1. Shoot you? Why? Let's shoot them instead. I haven't seen the episode yet. But I know that it will just make me mad. Just waiting for it to upload.

  3. Why can't they show Dev working to rekindle the love in Sonakshi instead of having her become jealous and do a repeat of Dev ki Deewangi? There can be a love story without having one of the lovers be jealous. It feels like the writers are taking the easy (non-creative) way out.
Why do we need a third angle EVERYTIME? Ritwick, Neel, Natasha, Jatin were enough. Instead of adding someone new, I wish they'd bring back a sister or kichu bhaiya! Even bhola bhaiya would do.

The fan girls claim they don't want drama, but they seem to thrive on the nonsensical drama/tashan. They want positivity but this route will have so much (unnecessary) drama and tears, what is positive in that? Haven't these actors cried enough?
Also, why did Asha and Ishwari wait 7 years to do this?

    1. What? Bhaiya and work to get the girl he claims to love? When did he ever do that? He'd rather sit in one place like a never changing uncomfortable furniture and expect the girl to drop on his lap like a ripe mango. That had exactly been his track record with Sonakshi at least.

    2. I have been ranting on this for last 3 days. Why cant Bhaiya do something for a change? Answer is People do not change...at all.

    3. Urgh, the ML can't change at all, but the ML's mom can do a 180 over a few hours. Indian serial logic.
I think the writers and makers are being lazy and are just riding the Shaheer-Erica chemistry. they are going the depression, tears, angst, crying route instead of a DDLJ route where there would have been funny, romantic loving moments (something the fan girls claim they want)

Sona cried enough in S1, Dev cried more than enough in S2. No more please!

  5. You know what I hate spoiled brats and cry babies who want everything served on a plate for them readymade and this guy dev is nothing but that. Seriously, someone please get an answer for me, what kind of a mother is this asha. She still refuses to understand or realize what kind of a spineless guy her daughter got married to. She says she knows dev still loves Sonakshi and and thinks bcoz of ishwari he agreed to remarry. Even if that's the case, isnt that enough reason that she should want him out of her daughter's life?? What kind of a mother thinks her daughter deserves this loser??

Wasn't Sonakshi's main issue in S1 that dev has never been man enough to face the situations or handle them?? He is still the same, he still won't face any situation as he himself says, but she is now itching to be back with him. Then what was the need for all the fuss or leap at all??

If we try to find any logic in this show, I guess we will lose all our logic and common senses.

    1. Yep. Exactly my point. Asha is behaving as if the only problem Sonakshi had with Bhaiya was because of Ishwari. Now that Ishwari agreed, so everything should just fall back in places. But Sona doesn't have to marry Ishwari. She has to marry Bhaiya who runs at first sign of trouble, who takes his life's decision based on what others say and who never cared enough for Sonakshi to say clearly that she is the only one he can ever be with.

And don't even get me started on the pathetic pair of Bhaiya and Behena. They are the kind of couple who not only destroys each other, but they also destroys everyone around them.

    awesome analysis dear
how u manage to blend ur logic and add it in the character weeping willow awesome e.g.-
but i feel sona character is much stronger than this but because writer ruined it badly well still her strength is cool well sona is wasting her time she can always give soha to ish and walk off leaving everyone behind not listening to both family neither bijoy nor ish ..
seeing asha today i was so frustrated but i pity mothers ya they can't see beyond happiness of there daughters even can go to extent of surrendering themselves to in laws time never changes when it comes to daughter no matter how society is modern this tradition won't change only one who fights is father but few have no say seeing bijoy i feel so pity on him he thinks so big about sona but in future he might end up heart broken and betrayed .
dev i have no say on this loser he listens to women without bursting his feelings can't he just say it to these 2 irritating ladies to just buzz off and make soha understand that things can never change ..
this track for me is so boring they are just dragging it ..
soha god this kid who was like sona turned ish started to lie and hide but golu is awesome he seems like bijoy doesn't care anyone does his own thing ...
had enough better end this show uniting devakshi ...
itna drama ki kya zarurat hai bhai simply end it ..
ish is behaving like a ring master and these 2 are showing off there skills being mahaan ..
i bet tia they all will make sona bow down confessing that she can't live without him in the most ott way ...what type of nonsense ruining one more girl's life is unfair to get dev married who has never learned from past never grown up

    1. Every character in this show is ruined by trying to justify Bhaiya and Maiya. The only characters who have been consistent are Bijoy and Golu. That's why those are the only characters I like.

CVs wanted to show that Dev is justified in everything and so they ruined Sona's character. They conveniently forgot that this is the same woman who did not even bat an eye when she saw Dev entering hotel room with a girl. For all she knew, she could have been his wife or fiancé. This is also the man who was very willing to marry another woman because Mummy said so and just needed a thumbs up from Sona to go ahead. Now suddenly this woman is behaving as if she is making a huge sacrifice and Bhaiya is behaving as if he only now took the decision for marriage because Sonakshi said so. I felt like saying ke bahut kha liya bhav, ab asliyat pe aao.

    2. We have given up on this show so it doesn't matter now but it hurts the way they are justifying mataji and betaji and bijoy is made a fool that's the worst of all
God Asha was the one who told sona to fight for her self respect now see she is shamelessly asking ishwari to unite them .
Nowadays the show is unbearable hai na tia

  9. Apparently Shaheer likes his hair long, so we might not get a hair cut unless the fan girls demand it like they did for the wedding.
Ishwari said no girl is going to get hurt, so does this new girl Payal not count because she is a pawn sent by Vicky?
Do the actors look bored and tired?

    1. I don't like long hair on men. I find it very unattractive. Besides it doesn't suit him. But his choice.

Nope. No one counts in Bhaiya and Behena land. They don't care how many people they hurt or destroy in their sick games. They are just those kind of people.

  10. the makers really need to spend money on proper stylists. Dev, Sonakshi, Elena, Ishwari, and Asha would greatly benefit from an actual stylist.

    1. I am prepared to forgive lack of stylist. But they need to spend money on script writer who actually sits through the old episodes before writing a new one. First the holes in the script needs alterations.

      Delete
    2. I think they are too late to fix the script, I think they made too many sudden changes to the story already. They lost it when Ishwari changed overnight without a good reason or monologue to explain the sudden enlightment.
They could save the script by reducing the angst, self pity, crying, ruining other peoples lives though. It would be nice to see happy funny scenes with the ML and FL. Their chemistry is being wasted.

  11. This story does not support any Moral. Just bcoz of certain fan girls...they ruined the whole story. I really hoped if they had thought about society..if they could show it how to handle such psychos...atleast some could have benefited. But alas..bcoz of some fan girls.. they threw they morals into bin. My fear is those fans would treat their DIL like that only right..they would expect everything from DIL but they won't do anything for DIL to adjust them. And sil does not have to bother about fil and it is ok to disprect him. This story proved them right. This is what bothering me much. I dont know where to vent out my frustration.

    1. I agree, Pramila. Feel free to vent your frustration here. As you can see from my writing, I am massively frustrated as well. Bhaiya's lack of spine doesn't seem to bother Behena anymore since now that spinelessness is because of what she said. Behena's hypocrisy is also astounding. She is another pathetic creature. Don't even get me started on Asha. These days I hate her more than Ishwari. I personally think that this show is definitely ending in June. No one is interested in this show anymore. The TRP is the proof.

    2. Tia..i am bothered about certain section of audience who claim no mistakes from biyya and miyya. They certain that they should behave like that only and DIL should keep adjusting and sacrificing. This serial proved them correct. Instead of giving right message to society, they made mockery of certain section of audience like us who believe in feminism.

I believe we should at least try live in peace and not to hurt others. I always tell my children they should be careful while talking to others. Even with our conversation intentionally we should not hurt other's. But same time we should not get shit from other. We should stop them.

    3. I absolutely agree. We should not hurt others. But that does not mean that we should not stand up for our own dignity. If we don't respect ourselves, then who will?

  12. Hi there Tia. Watched the episodes you suggested. Now getting the bits but unable to understand Sona! She's doing exactly what ishwari did in s1 when she tried fixing her marriage!
Loved your comparisons with the willow. Idk why but I've always found the willow to be peaceful. Does that make me a sadist? Lol ;-)
Agree on the Golu being similar to bijoy part. He's such a cutie. I want more of such scenes :-)
About the precap, hadn't been on the forum so hadn't seen the spoilers. So I was as shocked as Sonakshi but with weird vibes. But thankfully at least the beard and cleavage are gone! :-)

    2. Hi Bucky. No dear. Actually I love weeping willow. But I read somewhere recently that actually while Willow is a gorgeous tree, you should not plant this tree in your yard for two reasons. 1. Because any strong wind and storm can uproot the tree, it can fall on your house and damage it and also because how deep it spreads it's root which tries to take the spots of every other plant which deters their growth. That sentence reminded me of Behena. Because she is so busy doing everything for everyone, Bhaiya will never grow as a person. In fact she is doing what she once accused Ishwari was doing. That's strange because she made Soha so independent that she doesn't even need her mother, but Bhaiya so dependent that he can't even take a single decision on his own.

Secondly, Sonakshi also is easily mouldable to other's thinking. Hence she suffers. Everyone should take the decisions of their own life themselves. In season one, Ishwari told her to marry Dev, she did. Asha told her to tolerate shitty treatment, she did. Then Asha told her to fight for her self-respect, she got divorced. Now Ishwari told her to find Dev's wife, she is doing so. In short, she has always did what other's said. If self-respect does not matter to her, she should not have got divorced and if self-respect matters to her, neither she should have agreed to find a girl for Dev nor she should have hung up on Bhaiya.

  16. Pardon the vent folks --- one of those days! And today's episode seems ok - wu enough still. I wanted to say a couple of things :

    A) by the same logic ish has to have dev lead a full life --- why doesn't she get sona to also remarry ?
    B) it's hard to know why Jatin angle was dropped ?
    C) from your wu - GOLU and Soha convo seems nice ...

In all this talk of remarriage whatever happened to the notion that

Love is a necessary but not sufficient condition - trust and respect go with it. Dev Babu has yet to exhibit trust!!

    1. Oh don't worry Hun. Vent away here.

I agree. All the lectures Ishwari gave also applies to Sona, yet she did not ask Sona to marry. May be because she has more trust in Sona's commitment than on Bhaiya's commitment. She probably thinks that if Sonakshi agrees to marry someone, considering what happened last time and the consequences, she will go through it. But Bhaiya's words are as flimsy as his promises. He can break them anytime without any regrets.

I'd have loved Jatin to marry Sona. And I think once she knew the difference between marrying a liability and a matured man, she'd have understood the difference. But what's a television drama without angsty heroine and asshole hero?

  17. Just caught up on your review for the last three episodes and you echo my thoughts and put them into words so perfectly....I am seriously fed up of Dev and Sona....

Like you mentioned, an ex wife looking for prospective life partner for her ex husband is the most illogical thing ever. Sona has decided to reach a new level of self sacifice. Usko 21 topon ki salami milni chahiye!!! And she is the biggest hypocrite. Why doesn't she practice what she is preaching to Dev??!!!

Dev has again gone back to being a puppet. I wanted him to have an opinion for his own life and not do what his mother always wants. But he has gone a step further and decided to act like a puppet for both, his mother and Sona. How is that character growth? Also, everyone had a problem that Sona left 7 yrs. Ago when Dev asked her to leave. People have mentioned time and again that she should have stayed and fought for her love and married life. Isn't that applicable now to Dev?? Sona is asking him to do something he doesn't want to. Shouldn't he now fight for his love and make his stance clear that he doesn't want to marry anyone else??!!!

This Bijoy thing is getting out of hand. Everyone is hell bent on painting him out to be the bad guy but nobody is trying to keep him in loop. Asha knows everything that is happening. So, it is easier for her to relax but Bijoy doesn't. All he needs is one instance where Dev takes a stand for Sona and proves that he can stand by her. I don't understand Asha. She was lecturing Bijoy that his agenda against dixits has become more important to him than Sona's pain. But she is doing the same. Playing these manipulating games with Ishwari is fine...who cares Sona is in pain?where is her maturity and wisdom now??? Getting her daughter married is more important that Sona's emotional pain for her.

Regarding Soha, I feel like she is in for some difficult times ahead. Like we saw yesterday, Ishwari's plan isn't a sure shot thing and Soha might have to face the repercussions. As weird as it might sound, Ishwari is one of the few people in show who I find tolerable these days.

Golu was the best part of the episode. And he was so adorable yesterday!!!!!

Sorry for the long rant but it was building up inside me since last couple of days.

    1. Thanks Mauli. Feel free to vent away. That's why I created this thread. I agree with everything you said. Sonakshi won over Ishwari by doing her a favour. But Dev didn't have to do any favour to Bijoy to win him over. All he needed to do is prove his love and commitment to Sonakshi. Bijoy might once again give in to Sonakshi's demand to marry Dev, but Dev will never get the respect from him that Sonakshi got from Ishwari. I can guarantee you that by agreeing to this marriage because Mummy and Sonakshi said so, he has probably fallen a lot more in Bijoy's eyes.

Sonakshi may seem sad now. But even if this marriage happens, she will get over Dev. No one is indispensable in our life, specially someone who never loved enough. Bijoy knows if too. That's why he is confident that Sonakshi will be happier in the long run without Dev.

Sometimes we have to take the bitter medicine to cure a disease. Once Sonakshi watches Bhaiya moving on without lifting a single finger to fight for her, this obsession (yes, obsession. What they have is not love) she has with Bhaiya will be permanently cured.

      Delete
    2. And I can't thank you enough for creating this thread.

I agree, Tia. Ishwari finally has started to see Sonakshi for the person she is. And the respect Sona has earned is because she sought out to do something for Ishwari without any ulterior motive or with Dev's help. That is what is required from Dev. He doesn't have to go down the mahaanta route for Bijoy but he needs to build an equation with Bijoy without any help from Sonakshi or anyone else.

  18. Weeping willow is an apt example, Tia. These two Ivy and willow in their sacrificing mode is actually make a new girl as the sacrificial lamb! Pathetic. So now Asha and Ishwari will be joining hands in Sona-Dev milao abhiyan at the cost of an innocent girl. I think CVs will make the new girl as scheming and manipulating so that at least audience sympathy does not go for her. But just imagine, if the girl was innocent and actually fell in love with Dev on first sight. What would all these people would achieve?

I wish Dev had made genuine attempts to win Sona and Bijoy as he did with Soha. In the process if he had to do something which Ishwari had forbidden him to do, it would have been better. We would have known that if time comes, he can even say 'no' to his Mom.

Right now, even after all the drama, they get married, what is the guarantee that past will not be repeated. When Dev can't even say no to remarriage to his Mom then in future there will be many an instances when Ishwari and Sona might be standing on opposite side, whom will he choose? The same, his Mom, so where would that leave Sona. She might also lose Soha as it is they are not following one week schedule and we have seen how Dadi and Poti are in one team. So what will happen to Sona, when Dev, Soha and Ishwari will be on one side and Sona on the other. Then this much hated character Bijoy Bose will come and pick up the tattered Sona once again! And if Sona doesn't want to be on the other side then she has to toe the line according to Dixit dictate forever in her married life.

    1. I agree Jas. That's precisely what I wanted Bhaiya to do. I wanted him to make a personal effort for once in his life. But as usual he wants everything to be served to him in Silver platter and spoon fed to him.

I also agree with you about the girl. This girl is a schemer. But what if she was just an innocent, trusting girl? Then won't her heart break like Ritwik in their sick games?

At least Sonakshi thought that she will get over Bhaiya eventually. But Bhaiya pretends at least to love Sonakshi to eternity. Then isn't he knowingly ruining another woman's life?

He lectured to Sonakshi that she will ruin her life and Ritwik's life if she marries him while loving Bhaiya. What is he doing now?

But then Bhaiya had always been a hypocrite.

Yup, only Ranveer Singh can pull off that suit...Dev is looking ..hmmmm, remember mera naam joker, something similar to that...checkered suit with long locks and a bow...why does the PH have such bad fashion taste in S2?

Did I say I agree Sonakshi is a weeping willow...LOL Yes. Initially in S2, she appeared to be what I loved about her. Influence of Bijoy. Dev-Asha-Ish make her what I dont like...a perfect weeping willow.
