Tia's Thread - Biases!!!

Those who had been reading my writing, might have noticed that I have a strong sense of equality and fairness.

I have hard time dealing with unfairness and unbalanced equations.

That's why this equation between Sonakshi, Bhaiya and Nikki is bothering me.

I have a few questions which wasn't answered. Like when Bhaiya went into a depression when his marriage broke, what did the sisters do for him (if they did anything).

However, even if they tried their best and was still pushed away, I am not comfortable with how Nikki and Bhaiya are behaving now.

Nikki wants to take her life's decision. Ever since her appearance, she repeated multiple times that she is an adult and she is not a kid.

Fair enough.

Well, then adulthood comes with some responsibilities, like taking accountability of your decision.

She took the decision to be in a live-in relationship with Lakshya. I am fine with that. After all they are consenting adults and I don't have two different standards for men and women.

But she expects Bhaiya or Sonakshi to tell that news to her mother as in they need to face Ishwari's reaction on her behalf like a child expects his/her older sibling to get flack for their screw ups.

I am sorry, but I can't respect that.

There can only be two stands here.

Either a. Nikki believes that she loves Lakshya and they are doing nothing wrong as she claimed to Sonakshi.

or b. She agreed to be in a live-in relationship to show off her independence and to punish Bhaiya and Ishwari for their neglect so to speak and now feels guilty about it. But she is brazening out anyway.

If it's the first scenario, she should have no problem telling her mother the truth. Even if Ishwari rejects her, she won't be in any different situation than now. She is already estranged from her family anyway. But at least she'd know that she had tried.

But if it's the second scenario, then she is not behaving like an adult. Instead she is behaving like a spoilt brat who took a step to punish her family, but doesn't have the guts to face the consequences so pushing the older sibling forward to intervene on her behalf.

Either way, she is not behaving like the adult she is claiming to be.

Nikki was one of my favourites in the show. I liked her strong, straight forward personality. But I am not happy with the way she is now.

The problem I have with Bhaiya is that he is right now on permanent guilt complex. Even if he behaved the absolute worse seven years ago when he had a broken heart, it still isn't his responsibility to tell his mother about Nikki and her relationship.

Because who can talk about one's relationship better than themselves? Dev doesn't know much about Nikki and Lakshya's relationship nor he knows Lakshya that well. Then what will he say to Ishwari?

Only Nikki can highlight Lakshya's virtues and defend her decision and relationship if necessary.

Next in line is Sonakshi. She has to stop twisting everything to be Bhaiya and her fault.

It's not her fault for leaving a toxic situation like it was seven years ago.

It's not Bhaiya's fault for going into depression after losing his love and being betrayed by his mother whom he considered his Goddess.

It was Ishwari's fault for falling apart when Bhaiya fell apart and not being able to manage her relationship with her daughters.

And it was the three sisters' fault for not helping their brother who always took care of them.

I wonder why Sonakshi never asks any of those sisters instead of complaining about what Bhaiya didn't do, why don't they tell her what they themselves did for him vs. what he DID do for them?

Sonakshi has strange problem that she can never open her mouth in front of Bhaiya's family except Bhaiya who is like her project.

She can't stop lecturing Bhaiya but she can't squeak in front of anyone else in his family.

This unfair, unbalanced standards of expectations for different people are neither fair nor it is equal.

EPISODE: The episode starts with Ishwari asking Bhaiya and Sonakshi what they wanted to tell her.

Bhaiya says that he wanted to have Halwa.

Ishwari says that what a coincidence. She also wanted to make Halwa.

She agrees to make Halwa right away.

Sonakshi tells Ishwari: Maa, we were planning to take you out for dinner.

Ishwari says: If we go out, then when will we have dinner and when will I make Halwa?

Bhaiya says: We can have dinner outside and when we come back, you can make Halwa.

Sonakshi says: Besides we have food at home everyday. Three of us don't get so much time together.

Ishwari says: Just three of us?

Then she thinks: Wow, God listened to me. I won't get another chance like this.

She says out aloud: Yes yes, let's go. We three will go. I will go and get ready.

Ishwari leaves.

Sonakshi turns to Bhaiya and says: See? How she got ready. I knew she will come with us. She has changed.

Bhaiya says: Nothing has changed Sonakshi. Just wait and watch. The moment she goes to the restaurant and opens the menu, she will say, "Oh dear. Lassi for Rs. 500? I could have made you Lassi at home better than this". That's how it will go.

Sonakshi laughs.

Me: Two secrets are about to come out. I bet both sides are due for a surprised. Sonakshi might take the surprise well, but I don't know about Bhaiya and his Maiya. Both are kind of same type of personalities more or less.

Riya comes to meet Nikki. She says: I heard Bhaiya came to meet you.

Nikki: I also saw your picture with YOUR family.

Riya says: Nikki, it's our family.

Nikki feels sad.

Lakshya comes there with a glass of water for Riya.

Riya thanks Lakshya.

She continues: Yes Nikki. I had gone to meet everyone at home. I also met Dev bhaiya. He also came to my house to meet me and...

Nikki says: And you got convinced?

Riya: Look Nikki, I know you are very angry. But do you know what, he didn't tell me anything. I forgot everything seeing him. I just remembered what he has done for us.

Me: Riya, that's the right attitude. What he has done for you is a lot more in compared to what he hasn't done for you.

And Nikki, even if Dev broke your heart and hurt you badly, he came to you too. He didn't send his minions for you.

You may not be able to forgive him for what he didn't do, why shouldn't Riya forgive him for what he did do?

Besides, what have you done for him?

At the restaurant, Bhaiya says: It's good that you came with us.

He asks Ishwari what does she want?

Ishwari looks at the menu and says: I will take this Aam Panna (a cool and refreshing drink made with raw mango).

Then she sees the price: Wait a minute. How much is it? Rs. 190?

Sonakshi looks at Bhaiya. Bhaiya hides his smile.

Ishwari: They are robbing people. I could have made it at home.

Bhaiya: Don't look at all these. Just order what you want.

Ishwari: Okay fine. Then you order. I am getting dizzy just by looking at it.

Sonakshi finds an opportunity. She says: Maa, doesn't it feel nice to go out? We should go out more often like this.

Ishwari agrees. She says: But it's more fun meeting people when you meet after a gap. I mean distance makes the love grow.

Bhaiya: Love will grow. But if you come with us, then our love will grow even more. That's why I keep saying that you stay at home.

Ishwari's gets worried.

Sonakshi says: Maa, we want to talk to you, tell you something.

Ishwari says: I also wanted to tell you something.

Bhaiya: What?

Just then Ishwari notices Raman walking into the restaurant.

She feels worried.

Bhaiya asks: What happened, Maa? Who is there?

Ishwari makes excuses: No, no one is there. I think I got something in my eyes. I will be back in a minute.

She leaves.

Bhaiya: Give me a warning before you start naa. So that I can be ready.

Sonakshi: Now when Maa comes, I will tell her directly.

Me: Abey, yeh tun dono ka kaam nehin hain. Agar woh Lakshya ke baare mein poochegi to kya bologe tum dono? Kya pata hain tum dono ko Lakshya ke baare mein? Duffer kahike.

(That's not your job. If she asks about Lakshya, what will you say? What do you know about Lakshya? Duffers!!!)

At Nikki's home, Riya says: Do you remember Nikki, how hard he used to work day and night so that we can be comfortable? I agree that he had made some mistakes. But that day when I saw him standing outside my door, I forgot everything. In fact, I was feeling ashamed myself that what have we done for our brother? May be when he needed our support the most, we were not with him, Nikki. And that too for seven years.

We always kept questioning if Dev bhai is a good brother or not. But did we once questioned ourselves if we were good sisters or not? We just saw from our point of view and judged him wrong.

Nikki thinks.

Me: Riya, let me give you a hug. Finally someone realised that it was not one person's fault. Everyone of you let others down.

If Bhaiya had let you down, you guys did too. Relationships are never one way street.

Lakshya says: Nikki, I think she is right.

Nikki says in a broken voice: Seriously?

Lakshya says: I get it. He was not with you. He ignored both of you. But he was alone, right? We have a new intern in our office. A lady intern. That's why we call her Intern Aunty. She taught us a very good thing - not to judge anyone. We don't know in which situation, how or what people are dealing with.

Nikki says: So that means magically everything should be alright, yes? That means it's all my fault. Riya di, you went home and met everyone. So I became the bad person, no?

Riya says: No, Nikki. It's not like that. Do you know why I came here? I came here to tell you what we missed all these years. I am requesting you, for once put yourself in Bhaiya's place and think. You will understand everything and his situation.

Riya decides to leave.

Me: Riya got remarkable maturity for her age. Being a woman who is married to the man she loves made her understand Bhaiya very well.

But considering Nikki claims to be in love with Lakshya, I am shocked to see that she never once thought how she would be if she loses him. Will she be able to care for a bunch of people demanding her to do her duties?

I doubt it.

Lakshya who doesn't even know Bhaiya, can put himself in his place. May be it comes from the fact that he genuinely loves Riya and he is not in this relationship to prove a point.

But Nikki is behaving the exact opposite of what she claims to be - an adult.

Riya is about to leave when Lakshya asks: We are going out for dinner. Would you like to come with us?

Riya says: Thanks, Lakshya. But Kapil and Aru must be waiting for me for dinner. I should go.

Riya leaves.

Me: Dinner? Why do I feel all of them will land in the same bloody restaurant as Bhaiya, Sonakshi and Ishwari? I mean it's not as if Delhi lacks restaurant or even vegetarian restaurant. But knowing their coincidences, probably it will be a comedy of errors in the same restaurant.

Bhaiya wonders where Ishwari went and why it's taking so much time.

Sonakshi goes to check but sees Nikki and Lakshya coming into the restaurant.

She runs back to Bhaiya: Dev, did you call those two here?

Me: No, Sonakshi. You pull that kind of shit. Bhaiya and take a step without your approval? Is it even possible?

Bhaiya is baffled: Which two?

Sonakshi points out Nikki and Lakshya who joins Raman: Those two. Look over there.

Bhaiya is shocked to see them. He says: This isn't right. If Maa sees them here, it won't be good.

Sonakshi: And we can't introduce them to Maa suddenly like this either. She will get shocked. We should leave from here.

Bhaiya says: Let Maa come first.

They are looking at Nikki and Lakshya like people watch a bomb which is about to go off.

Me: Okay, so I might be the odd woman out, but this seems a bit too OTT for me.

First of all, it was not their secret. They are behaving as if Bhaiya's ex has dropped in with their illegitimate kid and Bhaiya and Sonakshi are hiding them from Ishwari.

Secondly, Nikki fully wants Bhaiya to tell her secret. If she doesn't care, why do they? They can always make Ishwari understand later.

Thirdly, I don't see anything strange happening there except these two idiots. I mean, Nikki is at a restaurant with two people who could very well be her university friends. I mean she is not doing a lap dance on Lakshya or playing tonsil tango. So what's the big deal?

Raman asks Nikki: What happened? Are you okay? You are not looking your usual happy happy self. What's wrong?

Nikki says: Nothing. I am fine.

Raman: You don't look fine though.

Lakshya says: She's fine. She just remembered some old memories. Isn't it?

Nikki nods and thinks.

Me: Nikki, all it takes is honest courage for closure

Ishwari comes back feeling scared.

Bhaiya says: Let's leave from here.
Ishwari: Huh? Really?

Bhaiya makes excuses: Yes, see how everything is so expensive here. If the food is not good, you will blame us for the whole week.
Ishwari is very eager to leave: Yes, let's go.

They leave but Nikki sees them leaving. She notices Ishwari's expression which was kind of embarrassed.

Then Sonakshi and Bhaiya both look back at Nikki. Their expression is also as if they are embarrassed.

Nikki sees that too.

She thinks to herself: Are they hiding Maa from me or are they themselves are hiding from me?

Me: Nikki, you are seriously confusing me now. What the eff do you want?

First you avoid your mother when she comes to meet you. But you are bothered when your brother and sister-in-law is shielding your mother or you from each other.

Secondly, you want to be left alone by your brother and sister-in-law. You repeatedly made that clear. But you also have problem if they listen to you and leave you alone.

What is your problem? What makes you think that only you get to decide whom you will allow in your life or not? May be they have decided that they'd rather let you be an adult and let you live your life on your own terms.

Lakshya was talking to Raman but notices Nikki mumbling. He asks: Nikki, did you say something? Is everything okay?

Nikki says that everything is fine.

Just then the waiter comes to Raman and asks if 8854 car is his.

Raman says it's his.

The waiter says that the car is blocking the gate so he has to move it.

Raman excuses himself and goes to move his car.

Me: I am hearing the song "Golmaal hain bhai sab golmaal hain" in my head.

Anyhoo, Sonakshi whispers to Bhaiya on the way out: Today we got saved. But we will have to talk to Maa. Let's do something. I will talk to Maa.

Bhaiya mumbles something.

They come to the lobby (I think).

Ishwari says: Let's go.

Bhaiya says: You wait here and I will go get the car.

Sonakshi says: Okay, I will wait here with Maa.

Bhaiya says: No, you come with me.

Sonakshi protests but Bhaiya takes her with her.

Ishwari feels relieved, but just then Raman appears at the lobby.

He sees her and says: Intern aunty, you?

Ishwari gets flustered: Arre, Raman beta. You are here too?

Raman says: You also came here to have dinner?

Ishwari says: Yes.

Raman says: But I didn't see you inside.

Ishwari says: I didn't see you here either.

Raman says: Actually Lakshya and I came to have dinner here. He is sitting inside.

Ishwari says: Oh okay. I also had come to have dinner here. You go inside. Lakshya must be waiting for you.

Raman says: No no, there is no hurry. Actually there is someone else there to keep in company. Actually we were just talking about you. Okay, so I was thinking that you won't write invitations everyday. So you must have some other interesting work too. We also have to grow the company, so...

Ishwari gets worried: We will talk about this tomorrow. Okay?

Raman says: Okay.

Me: Now I know why you are single in spite of being successful at an young age, Raman. You talk work in a social settings. You are textbook definition of a workoholic.

Ishwari must be thinking, "Tu idhar se khisakne ka kya lega?" (What will it take to make you disappear from here?)

Just then Sonakshi comes there and calls: Maa?

Ishwari has oh shit expression on her face.

In the meanwhile, Bhaiya is in his car when Nikki comes there.

He gets out from the car: Nikki, we...

Nikki says: Bhaiya, please. You don't have to give any excuse. You can say what's in your heart. Tell me that I am wrong. Lakshya and my relationship is wrong.

Bhaiya is about to say something but Nikki interrupts: No Bhaiya. You ran away from there seeing me as if you saw a horror show. You are that ashamed of me, no? Then why did you act so much that day then?

Me: Nikki, do you need people's approval to validate your relationship with Lakshya? If you do, you should have gone the conventional way as in marriage. You didn't choose a conventional path, you chose a live in relationship. Then why do you need Bhaiya to tell you that your relationship is wrong if you think is right?

What will he get by pretending to think your relationship is right? Are you going to dump Lakshya if he says you two are wrong? If not, then what do you care?

Bhaiya says: Nikki, Sonakshi and I got Maa here so that we can tell her about you and Lakshya...

Nikki: Then why didn't you tell Maa about us? You saw us there, no? You couldn't have got a better chance than this. But you didn't tell Maa because you didn't want to.

Me: Hold on a moment. I am confused. Whose secret is it to tell exactly?

The question isn't why Bhaiya didn't tell Ishwari about Lakshya and you, Nikki. The question is why didn't you? You saw Bhaiya and Sonakshi there with Ishwari too just like they saw you and Lakshya with Raman.

Why are you waiting for them to tell Ishwari about you and Lakshya? Why didn't you do the honours and walk up to them and tell the truth about Lakshya and your relationship?

You can't demand people to be your PR at your demand and at your time table without paying the PR fee. They are not your hired slaves to do their bidding. Either do the work yourself or let them decide when they would like to tell the truth.

The reason you can't wait is that you want to enter that house again with full approval for your relationship but you don't want to do the work. In short, have your cake and eat it too.

You know what? You remind me of Bhaiya from season one.

Bhaiya is still defending himself: No, Nikki. That's not true. Before we could tell Maa anything, you guys came there. We couldn't have told her then.Come on Nikki. You know very well how difficult it would be for Maa. We want to stabilise Maa...

Nikki: Enough Bhaiya. All these are just your excuses. You don't want to accept Lakshya and I... And that's the truth.

She storms off. Bhaiya runs after her.

Me: I am facepalming. Seriously, Bhaiya? Okay, let me handle Nikki on your behalf.

Nikki, let's assume for a second that he is making excuses and he doesn't want to accept you.

So what?

Were you waiting for his acceptance before getting into this relationship? No?

Well then why are you waiting for his acceptance before telling YOUR mother about YOUR relationship?

Last time I checked, you are not step or adopted daughter of your mother. So you have just as much right to approach her as your brother. He can't stop you from talking to her. Then why aren't you showing your independence and adult relationship and telling your mother yourself?

If you want people to treat you like an adult, then behave like one first.

At the lobby, Raman takes his leave finally: I think I should leave. I will talk to you tomorrow at the office.

He leaves. Ishwari looks embarrassed.

Sonakshi comes to Ishwari surprised: Maa, are you doing job?

Ishwari says: Yes, since last two days.

Sonakshi is happy: Since last two days and you didn't tell us? Is it a corporate job? Like in an office?

Ishwari nods. She starts blabbering: The man who just left from here is my boss. Sonakshi I wanted to tell you guys. First I thought that let me get a job first, then I will tell. Then I thought let a couple of days pass, then I will tell. Then I thought how do I say it. What if you think it's wrong? Then I thought that this is a good chance. We three will be here and I will tell you. Then I saw him here and got scared. And I could say it.

Sonakshi is excited for Ishwari: Maaa... There is no need to be scared. I can't believe that you started working again. I am so happy for you.

She hugs Ishwari.

Ishwari says: I knew that you will say this. I know you. But I also know him, naa. And he won't like this.

She looks at Sonakshi scared.

Me: Yep. Ishwari knows her older version of Golu as well as she knows her older version of Soha.

Just then Bhaiya arrives: Maa... What is it, Maa? What do you want to say, Maa?

Ishwari got silent.

So Sonakshi gives the nudge: Actually Maa wanted to tell us something, naa. We were just talking about that.

She looks at Ishwari expectantly.

Bhaiya: What did you have to say, Maa?

Ishwari looks at Sonakshi and stammers: Me... I mean, I wanted to say this. I didn't want to hide this...

Bhaiya says: Maa, what do you want to say? Why are you scaring me like that?

Ishwari: No, there's nothing to be scared of.

Sonakshi says: Actually Maa wanted to give us a surprised. She wasn't going to temple.

Bhaiya: If she wasn't going to temple then where was she going?

Ishwari looks down. Sonakshi looks at her and continues: Actually, Maa got a job. She goes to office for that.

Bhaiya looks like Ishwari as if Sonakshi said that Ishwari has decided to join a nudist colony.

Me: No seriously. That was the expression. He didn't even look like that when he thought Ishwari was a thief and sole responsible for a family's misfortune.

Ishwari again attempts to speak: Dev, I did it because...

Bhaiya stops her with a hand gesture and runs.

Ishwari and Sonakshi call after him but he doesn't stop.

Me: There he goes, Mr. Escapist. Haven't seen you in a while. You are back with a bang.

They have come home somehow.

Radha tells Ishwari: Jiji, what's the big deal about this? Just stop going to office from tomorrow and start going back to the temple. If Dev is happy, you are happy.

Mamaji says: Radha, sometimes in the monsoon, wood swell due to humidity and moisture and we can't close the windows because of that.

Radha is confused: Huh?

Me: Me too. Where did that come from?

Mamaji: We can't leave the window open because of that naa? Because then rainwater will come in. So we have to rub the wood so that the window can be closed.

Me: Oh... Now I get it. Mamaji, could you please get to the point without using confusing examples? No really. Spare us from parables. Your wife's horrid English is confusing enough. I can't now translate you too.

Radha says: I was just saying that. And even when I try to do something good, you always come after me. No one values me here.

She stomps off.

Sonakshi sits by Ishwari.

Ishwari says: Sonakshi, this is not Dev's fault. His mother broke a promise she made to him.

Sonakshi asks about the promise.

Me: What promise? How did Bhaiya knew that she wanted to do a job before? Ishwari didn't even know until recently.

At Bose house, Asha thinks that Ishwari must have told Dev and Sonakshi about her job. So she calls to ask her about it.

But she doesn't pick up the phone.

Asha feels worried. She hopes nothing went wrong.

Here Ishwari tells Sonakshi: Whether storm comes or tornedo, even a bird collects twigs and leaves to make its nest. I also did whatever job I could to earn money for my family. Dev has always seen me doing this. At that time I had no other option. I had to raise my kids, pay for Dev's education, earn a living. At that time I learned one more thing. This world doesn't respect human beings, they respect the work they do. Those people whose work has less value, their value aren't much higher than that.

Not everyone thinks that, Sonakshi. But some people was like that who used to misbehave with me. And when that happened, I realised that a mother's need for survival was bigger than Ishwari's self respect. I used to stay silent.

Sonakshi gets angry on Ishwari's behalf.

Ishwari continues: I tolerated everything for my desperation. But Dev used to get angry like you are getting angry now.

Sonakshi says: I am sorry, Maa. I was not there with you at that time.

Ishwari says: But now you are with me. And Dev was there with me then.

Mamaji says: That's why when Dev put his first earning in her hand, he asked her to promise that she will never do another job again for someone else. She will just manage the house and take rest.

Ishwari says: That night, he took such good care of me. He massaged my hands and feet as if he wanted to wipe off my years worth of exhaustion in one night.

Sonakshi asks: So that's why he got angry hearing about the job.

Ishwari says: That's why I am saying Sonakshi that this is not his fault. He has given me everything that was snatched from me. He gave me everything he could. . But how do I make him understand that people are responsible for their own happiness.

Today this job is not my desperation, it's my need, my happiness. I want to do this for myself.

Me: That was a great scene with a lot of points to think about.

Ishwari is right. There is a big difference between then and now.

Then, she was helpless. She had no option.

Today she has a choice.

Then she was tied to her situations because she had a family to raise.

Today she only has to listen to her heart, not her circumstances.

Then she was a victim.

Today she has a free will.

There are huge differences between the two situations.

I keep talking about choices.

In today's world, it is the most valuable thing for any human beings. Because this is not yet a right, it's still a priviledge for a lot of people.

It's certainly is a priviledge for a lot of women.

Having a choice means having a free will and the power to lead our lives where it should go.

Bhaiya needs to ask questions and not assume answers.

His mother is not an extension to his will. She has the right to make a decision and she has the right to decide how she'd like to live her life.

Sonakshi sees Bhaiya coming in angry.

They call after him. But he again runs away.

Sonakshi is about to go after him when Mamaji says that he would like to talk to Bhaiya first.

Sonakshi stops.

Mamaji leaves.

Sonakshi consoles Ishwari: Everything will be alright. I love you, Maa.

She hugs Ishwari. Ishwari smiles.

In the meanwhile, Mamaji comes to Bhaiya who was sitting angry in his room.

Bhaiya sees him and stands up to run.

Mamaji stops him: Look, Dev. You are angry right now. Please listen to me first.

Bhaiya says: I don't want to listen to anyone. Maa doesn't remember, but you remember naa? I saw how they used to talk to Maa. How they used to misbehave with her. I used to feel like breaking their face. But Maa, she used to stop me. She used to say that human being should be like a calm pond. If someone throws stones at them, there might be ripples, but they should keep their calm. I used to get very angry, Mamaji. But then I didn't say anything and took a promise that she won't do this again.

Mamaji says: Listen to her just once.

Bhaiya: I don't want to listen to her. If someone speaks to her rudely now, I will really do something bad.

Mamaji gets worried.

Me: Bhaiya, I understand that you got issues (*SNORT* Boy, do we know it). But let's discuss this like a sane, logical person.

1. Someone might be rude to your mother if she does a bad job. After all, it's a job. But why would anyone be rude to your mother, if she does excellent work?

By assuming that people will be rude to your mother, aren't you assuming that she will do a bad job?

2. Then, she has no choice. Hence she had to take the insults since her family was depending on her.

Today, she has a choice. If she is treated unfairly, she can walk away any time. Any money she earns is just a bonus. She has lot of money now thanks to you.

3. If you are that concerned about her being mistreated, why don't you give her a job in your or Sonakshi's company?

She will definitely won't get mistreated there since her bosses are her children and she also gets to have a job.

Problem solved.

The problem is not the job, Bhaiya. It's the fact that you are not happy that despite all the money you earned, your mother still wants to do a job.

You somehow equated your success with your family not having to do anything.

That's somehow true. But your success is not dependent on your family not WANTING to do anything.

That's their choice.

Bhaiya is sitting in the garden and thinking about the past and how Sonakshi told him that Ishwari is doing a job.

Sonakshi comes there. Bhaiya wipes his tears.

Sonakshi pats the ground beside her.

Bhaiya moves there by her.

There is a scene as if someone is watching them through a window. May be Ishwari.

Then Sonakshi pats her lap. Bhaiya lies down on her lap.

Sonakshi caresses his hair.

Bhaiya says: You are thinking naa that I am such a bad person?

Sonakshi says: I don't think you are wrong.

Bhaiya says: And Maa? What about what Maa did?

Sonakshi says: She is right in her place as you are right in your place.

Bhaiya doesn't like the answer. He gets up from her lap and gets angry again.

Sonakshi thinks.

Me: Bhaiya, you are so extreme. You know, you remind me off one of my friend. She was kind of like, if I play with the people she doesn't like then I am her enemy.

The difference is that we were children then.

It's not about making teams and one team's supporter can't support the other team when they are doing something good. Because if family, everyone plays in one team.

It's about being able to tell the truth, honestly, unapologetically, without hesitation. Because if you are her husband, then she is also her mother-in-law. She can't tell her wrong when she isn't just to make you happy and vice versa.

So stop sulking and listen to what they have to say. Running away is not an option for grown ups.

PRECAP: Sonakshi and Ishwari are in the dining room.

Bhaiya comes there.

Sonakshi says: It's good that you are her, Dev. We were just waiting for you.

Bhaiya stomps off. Sonakshi calls after Bhaiya but he ignores her.

Sonakshi confronts Bhaiya in their room: What is this Dev? Wasn't that you who wanted everything to be fine?

Bhaiya says: Of course I wanted that. Go and tell Maa that she can do whatever she wants.

Later Sonakshi says to Ishwari that she has to fight for her right. Even if that's against Dev.

It looks like Asha is also there.

Me: Okay. So sulking continues. And Sonakshi is defending her mother-in-law while handling her toddler's tantrums.

Not Soha, the other one.

No, not Golu either. The overgrown one.

NO RULES!!! YAY!!!

  1. I felt strange about this story. In this serial the person who emotionally invest and gives in more to relationship goes on guilt trip. Ppl who never cared still blames the person. When ria said dev shd ask sorry to eshwari..i am like..why on the earth?

Here sona asking forgiveness without fault of her, dev asking forgiveness with his family without his fault..krpkab is really become dabba.

Cvs don't know how man of the house is treated. no body respects or care dev at house.

They should have ended at s1 with separation. This post leap is utter crap.

    1. Exactly. Even if I think that Bhaiya owed his sisters apologies, still the didn't the sisters owed him apology too for not being there for him?

Depression is a clinical disease. If they knew that Bhaiya was in depression, then how could they expect him to care for them?

It's like someone has fever and people are blaming that person for not cooking dinner. Are you kidding me?

And the worse thing is that instead of Sonakshi telling Bhaiya that he is allowed to take a break and he also deserved someone to think about him once for a change, she is telling him that they were both at fault for not showing up for duty when they were broken themselves and for once choosing them over others.

      Seriously?

    2. I seriously don't get sona nowadays. It's one thing to be a nice bahu but to take it to such extreme levels does not ring a reality bell.i couldn't agree with erica when she was telling their show is relatable. They are not supernatural, but whatever they are showing is unreal.

    3. Pre leap I agree to some extent. But post leap no where near to reality. There is no consistency, no continuous flow in the story..its like daily new stories. How sonakshi supporting eshwari to do full time job when she is not really healthy. Also whole of her life eshwari was mera beta, mera beta ka sab hamara. Now all of a sudden she wants to earn herself. I would appreciate if sona encourage her doing some cooking class or similar kind of passionate job. Also it's wiered that eshwari has granf daughter now. Instead of enjoying with her she wants to go for job. It's not reality at all..

    4. Pre leap sonakshi was realistic and kickers who did not believe in hiding stuff. But post leap she is a weirdo, typical bahu types

  2. Excellent pre-post write-up.
The same thing never sat well with me.
Riya said they werent there for their bro when they shud have been. I was happy atleast she showed maturity to understand Dev. I dont know what Nikki wants exactly. As of now, I'll hold on to the second option that she is behaving like a spoilt brat.
Dev, under the tragedy of his separation from Sona, doesnot do his duties for his sisters. Its a mistake, but understandable. But the sisters, I never saw them doing anything for him...now atleast Riya showed some maturity but Nikki..dont know what to say.

I am liking Ishwari these days. So, her scenes I liked. Sona and Dev behaved xactly as expected. Precap : Who gives dialogues to Sona?! Fight for ur right? Ish is an adult and mother of Dev, who is he to stop her if he wants to work!! And for what does Ish has to fight against Dev....ridiculous.

Note: Again, I wont understand Dev's guilt and Sona's mending ways..they r behaving as if it is bcoz of them all fell apart and both r guilty for anything n everything tht happened in the IN mansion after the separation. Not even giving this a thot these days...CVs r writing wht they feel like.

    1. I agree. Even if I consider that Bhaiya made mistakes, then the sisters did too. I don't blame Nikki for the past since she was a child then. I blame Nikki for her current behaviour. She wants to be treated like an adult but doesn't want to take the responsibility.

Bhaiya keeps behaving like an overgrown kids and Sonakshi is the permanent Fixer-upper specialist. How many times can one person screw up before he learns from his mistakes?

I agree with you. Ishwari doesn't need Bhaiya's permission to work. She is the mother, not him.

  3. Dev sulking like a kid I don't get. Situation is different now. Ishwari is not going out to earn money, also it's not 1980s when people used to treat their maids like slave. Nowadays it's business and both parties are very professional about this,so insulting housekeeping is big no no. Atlst in urban city, rural it's like50/50 though maid is someone who become like a family and nobody really bad mouth them unless the people are true assholes. Dev could have asked her why she's working, what he's lacking, how's the work environment cause the problem was how she was treated in past. She is a different person now, she won't go out to take insult if that's what happening in her job. She's going out to stand on her feet and get a purpose in life. And since you are not "wrong" as per your wife that doesn't automatically means your mom is wrong, idiot. This guy only have two more, either sulk for no reason and make everything about himself or go on guilt trip of I am sorry I am sorryπŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘

Nikki i feel don't really want to get back with her family so really don't care if her mom knows about live in or not . Since Sonakshi berged into her house she's half expecting her to drop the bomb so the question was basically about that I think. This two way sorry is again I don't understand. It's obvious they tried but dev was busy having sex with random women in hotel room, so what they were supposed to do wait for him to come around?? And ishwari didn't really stick to him, she was just there like agaya beta, khana khaya, acha beta, that's it. Dev didn't let anyone get inside his armour after sona left. It maybe possible sisters tried but he didn't give them chance so they gave up, even if it's family only so long you can stick by it if they are not doing the same for you. He wasn't there when his sister was getting married, it's astonishing how Riya just got over it. It's a big thing! If that's what happened in past what's this two way guilt trip? Sonakshi in her head now finally become what 90% fandok wanted- it's yours fault too. So in everything she needs to show how it's both parties fault πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘

    1. I agree, Bhaiya is behaving like a kid and Sonakshi is his keeper. But she can't complaint, she took the job.

Regarding Nikki, I think she definitely wants to come back to Dixit house or she won't care whether Bhaiya told Ishwari about her relationship or not. She cares that's why she wants him to convince Ishwari to accept their relationship.

Today Riya said that the sisters weren't there for her. I knew that could be the case. Riya has a 5-6 years old daughter. That means that she had got married within a couple of years of Bhaiya's divorce.

Now Bhaiya might had been hanging in hotel rooms, but still he was around for Golu who were born about the same year as Soha. Had the sisters (I am talking about Neha and Riya because they were older) tried to reach him, they could have since Bhaiya was there for Golu. Bhaiya might have pushed them away, but they also stayed away when they should have been there for him.

It was not one side's fault there.

But the way the sisters were carrying on as if it was.

I have no complaint with Nikki for the past. My complaint is with her presence self. She should be the one to tell Ishwari the truth if she wants the truth to be told. Otherwise she can just let it go.

  4. Raman is a a typical new age workaholic who is happy with his new hire and feels like talking about work where ever he gets a chance.
Nil look better than Devakshi as a couple..he he. Atleast to me.

Sonakshi is totally becoming similar to Asha. Preach the husband and all through married life make fun of him while ganging up with his own mother.

    1. OMG... Bulls eye. I was just thinking why Sonakshi annoys me so much these days. You are absolutely right. She is mimicking Asha who never gives a damn about her husband and always preachy to the max.

I agree with you. I really like NIL more than Devakshi these days. They have understanding, love and they are both equal. No one is smarter or dumber than the other. Bhaiya is permanent screw up and Sonakshi is forever his handler. That's not the case with NIL.

In fact, I like Lakshya a lot. Even more than Nikki since she is behaving like a spoilt brat.
