Tia's Thread - Fire and Ice!!!

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that this Wednesday and Thursday I will not be able to open this post because I will be attending our summer event at work and I didn't find any volunteer to open them either.

I will try to do half update this Wednesday and complete it later in the night and I will write the Thursday's post over the weekend.

EPISODE: The episode starts with Sonakshi coming to their room and sees that Bhaiya's suit is lying on the bed. 

She goes to the washroom thinking he must be there. She calls his name. 

She says: I want to tell you something. Do you know that last week Soha had essay competition in her school. She had to write what is good and bad in her parents. She wrote everything. But still she got very less marks. Do you know why? Because she wrote just good things about us. She likes everything about us. She thinks we are perfect. Dev, we fight, get angry with each other. There are some things about you which I don't like. There are some things which makes me angry. Like when you keep an eye on me. Then I think that I lock you in this room. But then also a time comes when I come home and you aren't at home. Then the home looks empty to me. Are you understanding what I am trying to say? I know I feel both and it's confusing for both of us - for you and for me. But that's what love is, naa? It's just a beautiful mess. 

Dev, a relationship works when we stand by each other and make things perfect together. And who can understand this more than us? I know you are still standing inside sulking. Dev, that doesn't mean I love you any less. I also love you a lot. Say something, Dev. Dev...

She opens the door and was about to enter when Jassi comes asking for Bhaiya's tie. 

Sonakshi checks washroom which is empty and asks where is sirji?

Jassi says: He is downstairs waiting to go out for office.

Sonakshi thinks to herself.

Me: A few thing I'd like to clarify here. 

1. Which idiot school asks a 7 year old to write good and bad qualities of her parents? I mean which 7 year old even knows/understands what is bad qualities of her parents? Seriously?

2. Sonakshi, the fact that you love something about Bhaiya and don't like something about him isn't confusing at all. No one can like everything about anyone. Ask any husband and wife and they will tell you the same. There's nothing confusing there.

Being in love doesn't mean you will like everything about someone. Being in love means you will learn to deal/put up/manage the things that bother you about the person you love without putting pressure on them.

But Bhaiya believes in pressure tactic and why won't he? Every time he tightens the screw, you dance like a monkey.

When he wants to teach you a lesson, he flirts with another woman in front of you.

When he wants you to come after him, he gets engaged to another women.

When he wants you to beg him for not loving him his way because any other way isn't acceptable, he sulks/rants/runs away.

And if you think back, every single time he got the desired result. What does it say about his love and what does it say about you?

But then, you signed up for this the third time. Expecting him to behave any other way is your idiocy.


Elena comes to Vicky and looks at him suspiciously. Vicky asks why is she looking like a suspicious wife? It doesn't suit her.

Elena says that she is sure that he is hiding something from her.

Vicky says if she wants to know what is she hiding?

Elena wants to know.

Vicky shows her a file and says that whatever is in there is for her and Golu.

Elena says what is he up to? When he said this the last time then...

Vicky assures her that it's for them. He asks her if she wants to see what's in there?

Elena wants to see.

She opens the pen drive and sees it's Golu and their pictures.

She is happy and asks if he tried to make a collage?

Vicky tells her that that's what he was planning to print them out and make an album. He thought to surprise her but she doubts him too much.

Elena hugs him. 

Vicky looks at the original pen drive behind her back.

Me: You know my teacher used to say that when you go for multiple choice test, your first instinct is always the right answer. Now I know why. Elena's first instinct about Vicky was always correct from the day she met him until today. But like every idiot, she ignores her instinct and believes in Vicky every time. Well, she will pay for it too.


Sonakshi comes downstairs and asks Ishwari about Bhaiya.

Ishwari says that he left already. 

Sonakshi is shocked.

Just then her phone rings. Ishwari tells her that her phone is ringing.

Sonakshi sees that it's Asha's video call. She picks up the phone. 

Asha says: Sona, I want to give you a good news. Ronita is expecting. You are going to be an aunt and Soha is going to have a little brother or sister.

Sonakshi is very happy. She calls Ishwari and Elena.

Ishwari comes running from the kitchen and asks what happened?

When they come, Sonakshi says: Maa, Ronita is pregnant.

Everyone becomes happy.

Asha says: We have gone crazy in happiness hearing this news.

Elena says: Look Buaji, future Buaji is crying.

Ishwari congratulates everyone.

Ishwari says: You were already a Nani (Maternal grandmother), now you are also going to be a Dadi (Paternal grandmother). Party is a must.

Asha agrees to throw a party.

Elena wants to see Saurabh and Ronita.

Asha says that Saurabh went out. But Ronita is at home. 

She calls Ronita.

Ronita comes there.

She comes to the video call and greets Ishwari.

Ishwari blesses her. Ronita thanks her.

Elena teases saying: You and Dada are too fast. But congratulations to you.

Sonakshi says: I also feel like that I come out of the phone and hug you tight. And tell Dada that you will go to your first gynaecologist appointment with me. I know the best gynaecologist.

Ronita says: Di, I told Saurabh myself that I will go with you. But Saurabh has gone mad. He doesn't let me do anything. 

Asha says: Arre? You are still standing? I am so mad that I didn't make you sit.

She makes Ronita sit and tells Sonakshi: Sona, I will talk later. Okay bye.

Sonakshi laughs and hangs up the phone.

Sonakshi pretends to complaint to Ishwari: Did you see Maa? Ronita is pregnant and your friend is ignoring us.

Ishwari also pretends to scold her: Yes and you are complaining about your mother? What about that?

Elena laughs and says: OMG, there will be another little child in our house. Do you know when Golu was young I used to tell Buaji that I should freeze him like that. Why do kids grow up so fast?

Ishwari laughs: She is crazy. I used to be scared that she might freeze Golu for real.

They all laugh.

Sonakshi says: If it's a baby girl, then all toys and outfits of Soha will go to her and if Baby boy, then Golu's.

Elena says: Sorry, you won't get them. Because Golu broke all his toys.

They all laugh.

Sonakshi says: Okay I will tell Dev.

Ishwari says: Yes, he will be happy.

Sonakshi calls Bhaiya.

Bhaiya was on the phone when he hears sound of another call coming. He sees it's Sonakshi. But he ignores the call and continues with his previous call.

Ishwari asks: What happened? Isn't it connecting?

Sonakshi says: No Maa. May be it's busy.

Nikki comes down and asks: How is that possible? I mean how can Dev Dixit Bhaiya keep you waiting? He can even make the Prima Minister wait for you. Bhabhi, check once more. What if he hasn't seen your call?

Ishwari and Sonakshi understand what's going on.

Sonakshi says: No. I tried. I will just send a message.

She leaves from there. Ishwari feels bad.

Me: We also know what's going on. But there are a few things adults learn.

1. When someone is at work/school/busy, it's okay for them to not pick up the call. You send a text and wait for them to call you back unless it's a matter of life and death like you are bleeding on the road and someone has to call an ambulance.

2. Now this is not just a matter of being busy at work. What Bhaiya is doing is sulking. Fair enough. But the fact that he expects Sonakshi to understand him with him making no effort to understand her reminds me of the season one post-marriage selfish Dixit whom I didn't like at all.


Ronita comes to the living room where Bijoy and Saurabh were sitting.

Bijoy says: Beta, walk slow.

Saurabh says: Sit down here. You walked enough. Just sit.

Ronita protests: Arre Saurabh, I was sitting for so long until just now.

Bijoy says: Beta, I read in a book that a pregnant lady should only walk 5000 steps a day. And you are also drinking only cold water naa?

Me: Who wrote that book, Bijoy? May be the same idiot who gives a seven year old child assignment to write good and bad qualities of her parents.

Ronita says: Baba, you are reading too many books. Which book has this written in it?

Bijoy says: I read it in one of these books. Wait, I will read it to you. 

He flips through the pages.

Saurabh says: Baba, this is not right. We will have to work in a system.

Bijoy agrees: Yes, we have to make a system after research. We have to make a list of dos and don'ts. And we will stick it on the wall of Ronita's room. So that she keeps seeing the list and keep it in mind.

Saurabh says: Perfect. 

Ronita is dreading this: What perfect? This is becoming too much, huh Baba? I won't be able to do anything like this.

Asha comes there and says: What is there to do for you? There is nothing to be done until the baby is born.

Saurabh says: Did you hear that?

Asha hands over soup to Ronita.

Ronita worries but drinks the soup.

Me: I don't know which book says that pregnant woman should turn into a vegetable until the baby is born. Pregnant woman worldwide do gentle exercises, walk, work both at home and at office/workplace etc. The point is to be healthy and happy. Not turn into a microwave oven baking a bun.


Soha is studying but she peeks into the answer.

Golu says: Suhana, you are cheating?

Soha hurriedly says: No teacher. I am not cheating at all. 

Me: Golu is pretending to be a teacher. How cute. I also used to play schoolroom with my soft toys and dolls. I didn't have brothers or sisters to play with.


Golu comes to her and says: Really? 

He flips the copy and a small piece of paper falls down. He holds the paper and says: Then what is this?

Soha gets up and says: Golu, I told you naa. I can't do this.

Golu says: You can do anything if you try. If you try harder, you can do this. You hid such a big chit in your copy. I saw it. That's why you got caught. But no one would have. Make small chits naa.

Soha says: Golu, I am scared. I can't do this.

Golu holds her shoulder and shakes her: You are my sister. You can't give up like this. BigCha told me that BigCha and Papa passed by cheating in exams. If they find out that you can't cheat, how will they feel?

Soha is impressed. After all if her superhero does it, it must be right. What is mother's lessons in front of Super hero?

She asks: You really think I can cheat? 

Golu encourages her: You can do anything.

Me: And this is what I had been saying. Sonakshi and Bhaiya kept this larger than life image in front of Suhana where they can do no wrong. 

In both Sonakshi and Bhaiya's opinion, if you think the person you love is wrong, then you are wrong. They are always right. 

But people aren't saints. They can be right and they can be wrong. It makes them human.

Every time Bhaiya screwed up, Sonakshi hid it from Soha. Everytime Sonakshi screwed up, Soha never found out.

And Soha is such a Daddy's girl that Sonakshi's lifelong teaching is nothing in front of her superstar dad. 

Bhaiya and Sonakshi are so busy fixing other people's problems and creating their own new sets of problems that they have no time to look at Suhana.

Wasn't she better off when Bhaiya and Sonakshi were raising Suhana to the best of their ability but they weren't together? 

Now they are together but what good did it do for Suhana despite their claim that they got together because of Suhana?


Ronita is about to get up when Bijoy comes running: Arre Beta, don't move. If you need anything, then tell me.

Sonakshi comes there and watching everything. 

Saurabh comes with a pillow and sticks it on her back and asks if she wants something.

Ronita jokes: You do one thing. Just get me a mattress.

Saurabh says: Okay.

Ronita says: No. It's okay.

Asha is smiling huge. But she says: You didn't even eat well.

Saurabh is about to grab a plate.

Sonakshi says: Congratulations, Ronita.

Ronita comes running as if she got a life jacket when she was drowning.

Everyone greets her. 

Sonakshi hugs Ronita.

Saurabh says: Me?

Sonakshi wrinkles her nose and pretends: You?

Then she hugs smiles and hugs Saurabh.

Sonakshi asks: What is all this?

Bijoy says: Now Sonakshi is here. Now she will tell what to eat and what not to eat.

Bijoy and Saurabh are still standing.

Sonakshi says: What is this? You will stand like this? Sit down.

Saurabh and Bijoy sit down.

Sonakshi says: Ronita, I was very happy for you. But seeing all this... All the best, Ronita.

Ronita hides her mouth with her hand and laughs.

Ronita whispers in her ears: Do you know, they had been doing this since last few days. They keep running after me as if the delivery is tomorrow.

Sonakshi laughs.

Saurabh, Bijoy and Asha tries to hear what they are whispering about. 

Sonakshi tells Saurabh who was leaning forward to hear what they were talking about: Excuse me. Even doctors say that you should give some space to a pregnant woman so that baby can get some oxygen.

Saurabh says: Correct. Didn't I say, Baba? Didn't I say it was too much?

Bijoy says: Don't try to be over smart. More than 50% air you are consuming. So come on, step back.

Asha says: You do one thing. You two get out from here. Come on. Get going...

Saurabh protests, but they both leave.

Sonakshi and Ronita smile.

Ronita thanks Asha and says that she is coming from washroom.

Asha says that she will come with her.

Sonakshi says: Maa, it's not even a month. Ronita can handle this much. 

Asha says: I am very worried for Ronita.

Ronita goes to washroom alone.

Sonakshi then checks her phone and is about to go out when she stumbles over a side table.

Asha asks: What are you doing? First keep the phone aside.

Sonakshi says: It's okay, Maa. I might get an important call. 

Asha looks at her weirdly.

Me: Typical Bose house cute scene. Typical hyper Bijoy. But one thing is for sure. He never doubts Asha's love despite her never standing by him in anything and never doing any special thing for him like he does for her. He knows that Asha loves him. He never asked her to prove her love by doing what he wants her to do.

Unlike Bhaiya, who is hyper. But he expects Sonakshi to jump through hoops whenever he wants her to in the exact height with a specific speed. Otherwise, her love isn't good enough for him.

But if he really thinks that she doesn't love him, then he only has two options naa? 

1. Live with the fact that he loves her more than she loves him and/or

2. Go find someone whose love matches his standard.

Can anyone make conditions in front of someone they claim to love that they should love the way he/she loves, express the way he/she expresses, behave the way he/she behaves?

And when so many conditions apply in a love, is it truly love?


Vicky is sitting in a coffee shop where Thakkar comes. Vicky hands him a newspaper.

Thakkar opens it and there is an envelope inside.

Thakkar pockets the envelope and says: You will get the money tomorrow.

Vicky asks: Tomorrow?

Thakkar says: Yes, we have to check if this is the real thing.

Vicky says: What rubbish? If you don't trust me, I can take it elsewhere.

Thakkar soothes him: You get angry easily. Check your phone. Your account already has Rs. 10 Crore. The rest you will get after I check this.

Me: The biggest irony here is that Vicky, who is backstabbing his brother's business expects his business rival to trust him. Talk about morons.

If Bhaiya really knows that someone is leaking information within his company, then he can easily make fake folders with the software but put virus instead of software there.

If that's the case then the moment Thakkar inserts the pen drive in his company's system, they should alert Bhaiya with all information.

Won't that be great to watch?


Bhaiya is working in the office and looks at Sonakshi's desk which is empty. He thinks about how Sonakshi refused to talk to him about her meetings and what she did/said.

He says to himself: Suhana's likes her bread with corners cut, your hair is getting dry, my shampoo has run out - you want to talk about everything under the sun, but you don't want to tell me where you are going and what you are doing. You know that this is exactly what I don't like and this is exactly what you want to do. Okay, Miss Sonakshi Bose. If you want to do this, then so be it. After today, I won't tell you anything, nor I will ask you anything. Fine. 

Me: Are you serious? Let's see here.

1. Everything Sonakshi talks to you about are family related. What she doesn't want to talk to you about is business related. Do you know the difference between personal and professional life? Do you inform every single schedule in your work calendar or should you be expected to do so?

2. She could have told you what she is up to. But you can't stop interfering. That's also the only thing she dislikes and the only thing you have to do. But I don't see her sulking that just because you don't do as she wants you to do, she should just run away.

3. You'd have known what is she up to had you given her a call back even if you couldn't pick up the phone. You didn't. So you don't know. Simple.

You are her husband, not her jailer to whom she needs to give attendance before going anywhere. If you expect information, then call and next time don't stalk.

Oh and also see a psychiatrist. Counsellor won't work for you anymore since your issues are escalating.


Vicky comes home and sees Elena working in her laptop. 

He walks around and says: I don't understand which camera I should buy.

Elena asks: Why are you looking for camera?

Vicky says: I am looking because I want to buy one.

Elena asks: You will buy high end camera?

Vicky says: Why? I can't buy?

Elena says: You used to tell me that I can't buy such expensive camera? And now you are looking at the options?

Vicky comes to her and puts his arms around her neck: Elena, I am buying it for you.

Elena is pleasantly surprised: Really?

Vicky: Yes, and you just think that your miser husband isn't miser anymore.

Elena smiles huge.

Vicky says: Now tell me if you want the camera or not or I am cancelling the order.

Elena is very happy. She hugs him tight.

Me: As I said, Vicky only loves two people - Elena and his mother. He is counting on them to be by his side when they find out the extent of his deeds. His mother was the sure bet for him until recently since she is the one who made him who he is. But how did he assume that once Elena finds out what he has done, she will be by his side? He is truly as much of an idiot as his brother. Neither of them know their wives.


Sonakshi and Ronita are in the hospital. The nurse brings a form to fill up. Sonakshi offers to do it.

She puts her phone in her purse. Then takes it out.

She was about to fill the form when she gets a call.

She picks it up and it's Saurabh.

Sonakshi says that they are in the hospital. Then she hands over the phone to Ronita.

Ronita walks a bit far to talk to Saurabh. Sonakshi overhears Ronita telling Saurabh that she is missing him and he should have come with her too. 

Sonakshi feels sad.

Me: Don't feel sad Sonakshi. Ronita married a man who is her equal partner in every way. You married an overgrown toddler who throws tantrums. How will you get the same experience?


Then Sonakshi thinks about when Bhaiya and her were pretending to be pregnant and more recent argument.

She wipes her tears. 

When Ronita turns to Sonakshi, she asks if she got any call while she was talking to Saurabh. Ronita signals that no call came. 

Ronita finally finishes her call and hands over her cell phone to Sonakshi.

Sonakshi is sad.

Me: Sorry, but not sorry, Sonakshi. 

In Icy cold, if there's fire nearby, you can get warmth. But fire on ice, damages the ice.

When fire burns skin, a piece of ice gives soothing touch. But ice on fire, makes it weak.

You and Bhaiya are like Fire and Ice. When you two come together, you only damage each other. The only way you can thrive and actually become useful to your surroundings when you are near each other but not together.


Bhaiya comes home and sits down with same sulky expression.

Ishwari, Golu and Soha are playing in the living room. She notices his face.

Golu asks him to take them out.

Soha says that her Papa is tired. Not now.

Golu says: BigCha is superman. How can he get tired?

Bhaiya says: Golu, not today. We will go tomorrow.

Golu insists but Bhaiya doesn't give in.

Ishwari steps in and says: Golu, someone has promised me something.

Golu tries to make excuses.

Ishwari says: Someone promised me that today's homework will happen today. If you don't keep it, it will become bad promise.

Soha asks him to come.

Golu says: But I wanted to go with BigCha.

Soha says: Papa said that we will go tomorrow. I will also finish homework. Come, I will help you.

She drags him away.

Ishwari comes to the other sulking kid and asks: Dev, you came home early.

Bhaiya mumbles excuses.

Ishwari asks: You didn't bring Sonakshi with you?

Bhaiya says: No, Maa. She wasn't at office.

Ishwari says: Where is she? You don't know?

Bhaiya shrugs.

Ishwari: No problem. She must have got busy and forgot to tell you. She didn't tell you, then you could have asked. 

She picks up Bhaiya's phone and calls Sonakshi.

Sonakshi gets Bhaiya's call and gets happy. She is about to pick the phone when at Dixit house, Bhaiya takes the phone from Ishwari and disconnects the call.

Ishwari says: Arre? The call got connected.

Bhaiya says: No worries, Maa. When she finishes her work, she will come home.

Ishwari says: At least we could have talked. 

Bhaiya says: No problem. I am not worried or tensed. It's alright.

Ishwari says with disbelief: If you say so then you must be saying the truth.

Sonakshi calls back Bhaiya.

Bhaiya sees Sonakshi is calling. He disconnects the call. 

She calls again. He disconnects again.

Bhaiya thinks to himself: I didn't call you Sonakshi. Don't think that I did. I know that if Maa hadn't called you from my phone, you won't have called back. If you love me, then prove it. I have shut off my phone. Now let's see what you do. If you come leaving everything for me. Come on, Miss Bose. I am waiting. 

Me: I had thought that Vicky won't be successful in ruining Bhaiya because if he knows that information is being leaked from his office, he must have done something to fool that person who is stealing data.

But now I am definitely sure that Bhaiya will get bankrupt with the sample of intelligence he is showing.

Bhaiya, how will Sonakshi know that your mother is calling from your phone when you cut it before she could even pick it up?

No really. Please explain if Sonakshi has done Psychic 101 course.

Bhaiya is really made me angry today. But then I think, Sonakshi deserves this for being the moron who lays down and lets Bhaiya manipulate her every.damn.time.

It's one thing to not take the call because you are busy at work and it's another to disconnect the call because you want to teach someone a lesson. 

The first is being professional, the second is being vindictive. And Bhaiya has always been vindictive and vengeful. I don't like people like those who can hurt someone deliberately.

In fact, Bhaiya is reminding me of the insecure teenagers I see in high schools who plays silly games with each other. 

But as I said, Sonakshi made her bed thrice, now she can lie on it.

I had sympathy for him last week, but I have no sympathy for him anymore. 


PRECAP: Vicky is bragging to Thakkar on phone how Bhaiya doesn't doubt on him at all. He also brags how he broke his marriage by throwing his wife on the street.

He turns and sees Elena and Sonakshi standing on the door fuming.


Me: You danced to the piper and made bargain with the devil, Vicky. Now it's time to pay the price. That's why people say, don't get too cocky. The moment you get cocky, start counting your downfall from then and there.
