Tia's Thread - Loyalty!!!

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that today I will be attending our summer event at work. So I will make today's post later because I couldn't find anyone to open the thread.

People, in their lifetime, form many relationships. Some of those are strong and they stand the test of time and some of them are weak and fades away slowly.

What makes a relationship trustworthy is, in my opinion, Loyalty. 

When you know that someone is fiercely loyal to you, you know that they won't betray you or harm you.

If one isn't loyal to their relationships, then how can you trust them?

But there are also levels of relationships. Immediate family like spouse, children, parents, siblings comes before cousins, uncles, aunts etc.

Now don't get me wrong. Sometimes cousins, uncles, aunts are closer to people than their own parents and siblings.

But if someone is harmful and has a history of harming/betraying someone you love, how can you be loyal to that person? And more importantly why should you be?

I am sorry if I can't understand this. I am a fiercely loyal and protective person and I expect the same loyalty and protection from the people I trust with my life. 

My mother and husband are them. Anyone and I repeat, ANY ONE, if ever dare to even think of harming even a strand of hair on their head, I will rip them apart regardless of who they are. 

Sorry, I believe in quality over quantity.

If someone is harmful, letting them stay in my life is just giving them another opportunity to harm me and my family again.

I'd rather have less no. of people in my life, but what I have is solid gold than have many shitty people in my life.

I just don't want to live my life giving an appearance of a happy life when I am surrounded by people who talk behind my back, try to harm or sabotage me. I want to live a life that even if there's only one person in my life, they can kill or die for me as I can for them. 

But for people like Asha and Sonakshi, appearances matter more than anything else, even the well-being of the people they claim to love.

No wonder I am not being able to connect with any of these two characters. Even Vicky is more loyal to his immediate family (Elena, Radha) than Sonakshi is to hers.


EPISODE: The episode starts with Bhaiya thanking every family member for making his success possible. 

He says: I am here for my family's love and support. Because of my mother for whose prayers I have reached here. I love you, Maa.

Because of my daughter who thinks that I am Superman. I am not Superman, but this software can fly, even faster than him. This is for you beautiful.

It was possible because of my family, Mamaji, Mamaji, Champ Golu (Golu throws a flying kiss on the screen and says I love you BigCha), Elena.

And last but not the least, my wife who maybe thinks that I love her too much. But if she was in my place, she'd have known why do I love her so much and how lucky I am. Thank you for supporting me guys.

Now this software is for you guys and soon it will be in your cell phones and in your palm. 

The interview ends.

Mamaji happily tells Ishwari: I hope Dev keeps being more successful. Did you hear Ishwari what he said about you? Lots of blessings to children like him.

Ishwari says: It's all result of his hard work. 

Mamaji says: Along with his hard work, your hard work is also there. 

Mamiji is worried. She thinks: Dev didn't take Vicky's name. I hope Dev didn't find out about Vicky. Oh God. Sonakshi didn't tell him. Then how did he find out.


Me: Oooohhhh... Bhaiya knows, Bhaiya knows (*Does wiggly dance*)

Vicky to gayo!!! (Vicky is over)... (*Wiggles in happiness some more)


At office, Vicky is ranting like a mad man: Does it mean... No, no. It can't happen. This opportunity can't be taken from me.

Bhaiya says from the door: But the opportunity is lost, naa Vicky?

Vicky is shocked to see Bhaiya.

Bhaiya asks: Now what will you do? Call Thakkar? (He smirks) I feel sorry for people like you. You had been making schemes like this forever, but you still didn't learn anything. Such a weak player you are. You need brains to even steal which you don't have. That's why I had no fun playing with you. Better luck next time.


Me: Oooohhhh burnnnn... Take that, Vicky. Bazinga!!! Kitna mazaa aaye re!!! (Oh what fun!!!)

Sorry if I seem a bit crazy to you. But I love it when people gets their just dues. Makes my sense of justice twirl in joy like 70s heroines!!!



At Dixit house, Ishwari and Radha are admiring the family picture when Bhaiya drags Vicky in with him pleading for forgiveness.

He throws Vicky in the living room.

Ishwari comes and asks: What are you doing, Dev? 

Radha picks up Vicky off the floor.

Vicky says: Bhai, please.

Bhaiya says: Don't call me brother.

Ishwari scolds him: Dev, how are you talking to your brother? Does anyone talk to one's younger brother like that?
Bhaiya roars: What young brother? Did he fulfill any responsibility of a younger brother? Had he fulfilled even one responsibility, I'd have fulfilled responsibility of a elder brother for the rest of my life. 

Ishwari says: If he could not fulfill his responsibilities, at least you fulfill yours. 

Bhaiya: Maa, I don't understand all this. All I know is that a younger brother is first friend, first companion, first secret keeper. You ask him, which responsibility did he fulfill of a younger brother?

Mamaji asks: Dev, tell me honestly, what did he do?

Bhaiya says: What can I tell you, Mamaji? I told him my secrets and he tried to sell the same secrets to my enemies. And not only that, the person who should have been my partner, tried to separate my life partner from me. 

Vicky, Radha and Sonakshi look at Elena and realise that she revealed the truth.

Ishwari is shocked, Mamaji is angry because he already suspected Vicky, but Sonakshi's expression is as if Bhaiya is saying that Vicky had Okra Masala for lunch. Zero shock, zero anger, total zen!!!

Me: I have a question. Why isn't Sonakshi shocked though? As far as I know, she didn't know about the stealing. If I find out that the person because of whom I got separated from my love, my child was deprived of her father, my family had to struggle to survive homeless, tried to harm my family again despite my warning, I'd be calling myself all kinds of fool and most of all will be angry at that betrayer. 

But Sonakshi's expression is like, "Oh really? He tried to ruin your company? Cho chad. Do you want Moong Dal for dinner?"


Ishwari says: What are you saying, Dev?

Bhaiya says: Maa, he just didn't break our trust, but he also broke our house, our family. He is responsible for breaking our relationship.

Mamaji asks: You mean...

Bhaiya says: He created misunderstanding between Sonakshi and I seven years ago. We had problems but Sonakshi and I would have solved them together. If he wasn't there I'd have been there at the time of Suhaana's delivery, I'd have been part of her childhood. Vicky threw Sonakshi and her family out of their home and made them believe that I did that.

Mamaji and Ishwari are appalled. Radha is also crying. 

Mamaji is about to slap Vicky: Unlucky, useless, how dare you?

Sonakshi pulls Mamaji back.

Me: WTF? Now she has to poke her nose between a father teaching his son a lesson as well? Seriously? 

Why didn't she slap Vicky after finding out that he tried to steal from Bhaiya despite her warning? No wonder Vicky doesn't give a damn about her threats because there's no consequences. 

But Bhaiya's threats has consequences so his threats Vicky will take seriously.


Mamaji asks: Sonakshi, why are you are trying to save him? 

Me: Precisely. That's exactly my question as well. Is she married to Vicky or Bhaiya? Had I not known, I won't have been able to guess.


Then Mamaji goes to Ishwari: And you. You wanted to make your son Ram for him? Arre Laxman went to jungle for his brother and sister-in-law for 14 years and this guy separated his brother and sister-in-law for 7 years. He ruined your whole family...

Mamaji again runs to Vicky and Sonakshi again pulls him back.

Me: No one else jumps in between Mamaji and Vicky, not his mother, his wife, Ishwari or Bhaiya. But Sonakshi? How can she not jump in to save the man who stole from her husband. I am pretty sure if tomorrow Vicky kills Bhaiya with a knife, Sonakshi will pay for his lawyer.


Vicky comes to Bhaiya and says: I know I made mistake. But please forgive me, Bhai.

Bhaiya says: Now I can't forgive you anymore. 
He turns away.

Then Vicky turns to Ishwari: Bua, please forgive me.

Ishwari is about to say something but Bhaiya says: Maa, you won't forgive him. Now no one will forgive him. The task he left incomplete 7 years ago, he was going to complete now. The software I was making, our company was making, the one we were working hard on, he tried to sell that software to my competitor and ruin us. He was getting whatever price he asked for that.

Even Radha is totally shocked. But again, Sonakshi has just a distasteful expression as if, "Oh dear. What a mess. Oh well. Never mind."

Me: Here's the thing though. Bhaiya told Sonakshi yesterday that someone is trying to steal from his company. Today she finds out that the same person she gave another chance to was also responsible for that. And that's her expression? 

Why isn't she fuming in anger? If she doesn't give a damn about her husband's hard work, then at least she could be angry at being made fool of... AGAIN!!!

But nope. She doesn't care. I just can't relate to this character.


Bhaiya says: Now he can't live in this house anymore. Not at all.


Radha runs to Ishwari and falls to her feet: Jiji, don't let this happen. I have always thought you are my own. I am asking for forgiveness on his behalf. Don't let him throw Vicky out. He is not at fault, I am. I have always hid his mistakes. Now I won't do it anymore. But please don't throw him out. Please Dev beta, everyone in this house has made mistakes. You, Sonakshi, us and even you, Jiji. Everyone got forgiveness. Then please forgive Vicky too. Just one more time.

Ishwari says: Bhabhi, it's one thing to make a mistake and admit that mistake. And it's another to learn from those mistakes. I agree, I made mistakes too. My biggest mistake was to think that I have rights on Dev's life. I took every decision of his life. But now I can't do this anymore. Vicky has wronged Dev and only he will forgive Vicky.

Radha looks at Bhaiya pleading.

Bhaiya says: I have no brother. Now Vicky can't live here. And whoever feels bad for him, can leave with him. But for today, from right now, he can't stay here.

Radha stammers: Dev, don't say this. He is your younger brother.

Bhaiya looks away. 

Radha gets desperate: Why isn't anyone saying anything? 

She turns to Elena: Elena, say something. 

Elena hides her tears.

Then to Sonakshi: Sonakshi, Dev never denies you. You say something. 

Sonakshi looks away.

To Mamaji: You say something. 

To Ishwari: Jiji, you say something naa. You stop him.

Ishwari turns to Bhaiya. But Bhaiya says: No, Maa. That's enough now.

He walks away.

Radha cries. 

Me: This was an emotional scene. Radha's condition is pitiful. But I could feel only pity at her condition but no sympathy. She has made her bed with her deeds along with Vicky.

My only sympathy went to Golu. He didn't deserve such a shitty father. 

Elena abandoned her family at the time of their needs for Vicky. Today she paid the price of her disloyalty. 

As for Bhaiya, I totally agree with his decision. He doesn't have a brother, he had a viper in his home. And you don't harbour viper at home and not get bitten. He has to protect his family first.

As for Sonakshi, day by day, she just irritates me more and more. Can't stand her. I look at her and see Asha in future, playing goody two shoes for others at the cost of her own family.


Vicky is packing his suitcase. Radha comes there.

She asks: Tell me where will you go? What will you do? How will you live alone? Who will take care of you? Tell me something, my red. Did Dev say the truth? You...

Vicky says: I can't answer any of your questions. Please leave me alone.

Radha says: Vicky, if you go, I will go with you. I can't live without you here. It's all my doing. I taught you all wrong things. I never stopped you from doing anything. I could never show you the right way. I couldn't think that home is home because of everyone in the family. Even if one person leaves, home doesn't remain home. Sona was right. The punishment you got was all because of me. I should have stopped you before, but I didn't. 

Me: Haila!!! What magic keys were those which turned Mami's personality so much that she is now willing to leave the keys behind and go with Vicky? I just don't get it. But then there's a lot of things I don't get about this show either.


Vicky says: Mummy, please don't behave like this and make things even more difficult for me. Whatever happened, I did it with my own free will. It's not your fault. You always thought well about me. You always supported me. How can you make any mistake?

Radha cries.

Vicky leaves with his luggage.

Radha tries to stop him pleading to take her with him. She can't live without him.

Vicky kisses her hand and asks her not to worry about him and take care of herself.

He hugs Radha who is crying.


Me: This reminds me of a fable I read as a child. 

Two boys steal a pencil each. The first child brings the pencil home but his mother not only makes him return the pencil but also punishes him.

The second child brings the pencil home but his mother hides his fault.

Years later, the first child is a successful judge and the second child is a criminal who got caught. The first child recognizes him and convicts him.

When the first child goes home, he hugs his mother and thanks her.

And when the second child comes out of the courtroom after being convicted, he sees his mother crying. He walks over to her and slaps her. He says: This is for not making me pay from my mistakes and always hiding them. Today they finally caught up to me.

A good mother is one who shows the right way and holds their children accountable for their actions which Radha never did.

Now it's too late. All the crimes finally caught up with them.



Bhaiya is standing by the stairs in his room. Sonakshi comes there.

Bhaiya: Did that man leave my home or not? Or shall I come and personally throw him out?

Sonakshi says: Dev, listen to me once.

Bhaiya says: No Sonakshi. Such a huge thing happened. He did so had to your parents... You hid such a huge thing from me. 

Sonakshi: Dev, I...

Bhaiya: What Dev? You can tolerate such a big thing, forget it, but I can't. What did he do with this chance? He again tried to ruin me. If I hadn't made the decision to launch the software at the right moment, our company would have been ruined. How could you hide such a big thing from me? 

Me: Excellent question. I also want to know the answer to that.

Sonakshi: Dev, if I had told you, our family would have broken apart.

Me: You mean, the fake appearance of a family would have broken apart. Because I don't call a few people who backstabs/harm each other but lives together just because they are related by blood or marriage, a family. 

With that definition, even Shakuni Mama was Pandava's family. 


Suddenly Bhaiya grabs her and puts her against the stairs: What family are you talking about? Which family? Is this family who wants to separate us? No Sonakshi. This absolutely can't happen. I have told you before. 


Sonakshi looks scared.

Me: Woah woah Woah, Bhaiya. Words on point, but hands to yourself. No need to get physical there. The same point can be made using words. If you can't control your temper right now, walk away and come back when you are calm enough to talk.

And Sonakshi, Bhaiya has shouted, mistreated and manhandled you worse before and you used to go gooey mess then. You weren't even the least bit scared then. Why are you behaving suddenly as if you haven't handled with his similar behaviour before? 

Just push him away and tell him to use words and not hands. Also let him know that this is making you uncomfortable. Since when you are a shrinking violet? The woman who didn't get scared to get in Khatri's face who is a known criminal and shrugged Dev Dixit off tell him that she isn't scared of him, now suddenly shrinking by the wall?

Who is this woman?



He slams the stairs beside her making her jump. He says: Anyone who tries to come between you and I, I will destroy him, his intentions and also that person. After today, no one will come between us.

He grabs Sonakshi's hands: We got together with a lot of difficulty, Sonakshi. We got separated but came together. Now I can't let anyone come between us. I can't let anyone cast an evil eye on us. No matter who that is.

He slams the stairs again and Sonakshi cringes.

Me: Jesus Christ!!!

Bhaiya, for God's sake, stop banging on the stairs. It's scary and intimidating. Sonakshi is jumping in fear. You are talking in front of her, about her, but you are not paying attention to her. Her body language is speaking volumes.

And Sonakshi, please for heaven's sake, stop ignoring this and keep hoping it to go away. Bhaiya is escalating to dangerous level. Aren't you seeing yourself cowering? Get him treated before he does something in anger which you can't forgive and he can't forget. 

Anyone seeing his crazed look will know that he is not in a normal state, dammit!!!

And another thing. If something makes you scared and uncomfortable, speak up. 

If that person backs off, then talk to them about the behaviour which you find unacceptable. 

If the person doesn't back off and gets even more dangerous, call police or psychiatrist or BOTH. 


Elena is with Golu. He is crying. He asks: Why did BigCha scold Papa? What did he do? I was hearing him even in this room.

Elena makes excuses that Vicky made mistake at work and BigCha scolded him.

Golu asks: Then why is he leaving home?

Elena makes another excuse that Vicky is leaving home to better focus at work. But he will come back soon.

Just then Vicky comes there.

Elena asks Golu to go to Mamaji. She wants to talk to his dad.

Golu runs to Vicky and asks him to say sorry to Bhaiya so that he forgives him and he can stay back.

Vicky wipes his tears in secret.

Elena again asks him to go.

Golu runs from there crying.

Me: Golu has the biggest heart in this house, not Sonakshi. He is loyal, sympathetic, loving and doesn't hold a grudge against family. But that doesn't mean if someone tries to harm his loved ones, he lets them go. He is also very protective to those he loves. Many times he fought against other people for the people he loves.



Elena asks Vicky: Where will you go?

Vicky answers: What's it to you? If you had cared for me, you'd have come with me.

Elena says: Vicky, I care for you. But I also care for Golu. What do you want? I should grab Golu and come with you? Snatch his family's love from him?

Me: Elena, that's a lame excuse if I ever heard one. You don't have to take Golu since he is never around you anyway. You could just leave Golu here and go with Vicky if you want to. Trust me, considering the kind of parents you are, he won't miss you much. There are plenty of people here to take care of him. But I knew you won't go anywhere. 



Vicky: Golu is also my son, Elena. His father is going away from him and you are not at all bothered?

Elena: If you go away, then you will realize what you missed in this family. You never paid attention to Golu, never paid attention to this family. I just hope now you'll realize the meaning of family. 

I want you to be a good person, a good father. But the way you are right now, I don't want Golu to fall in the shadow of that.

Vicky: What are you saying? What do you mean to say? That I am spoiling Golu?

Elena: You know Vicky what I am trying to say. Sona gave you such a huge chance, she hid such a big truth from Dev Bhai. But what did you do? You tried to sell Dev Bhai's software to someone else.

Vicky: For whom did I do this? I did it for you and Golu's future.

Me: Now that's your lame excuse. Had you worked hard in the cushy job you got thanks to nepotism, you could have secured Golu's future that way as well. You could have saved or get a second job for Golu's future too if the current salary wasn't enough (although it's not as if you pay mortgage and any cost of living). Golu's future which is still far away gives you plenty of time.


Elena: Golu's future? You know that Dev Bhai can do anything for Golu.

Me: And that's another option too. But isn't it funny how these two moochers want to raise their son on Bhaiya's wealth and generosity? Vicky wants to steal his hard work to supposedly "secure" Golu's future and Elena hopes Bhaiya will pay for Golu's future because he loves him. No one thinks may be, just may be, it's their responsibility as parents to secure Golu's future with their hard work.

What useless pieces of parasites. 





Vicky says: It's useless to talk to you. You live here in comfort with your Dev Bhai and sister. I figured out how much you care about me. 

He is about to leave when Elena says: Vicky, please don't doubt on my love. I really love you. But what you did was wrong. I want you to fix your mistakes and be a better person. Golu and I don't want anything from you. Maybe Dev Bhai also wants exactly this from you.

Vicky leaves.

Me: Vicky, Elena loves you like she loves her family. The girl who ditched her family who loved her for 20 plus years and never tried to contact them for 7 years despite shedding crocodile tears for pretence, won't leave her cushy life for her husband. She is not that kind of woman.

A woman who truly loves her husband would have left with him, make him realize his mistakes, bring him to the right path and if she can't do so, then she will move on. But Elena is all big claims, no action. 

But Vicky, that's what you deserve because you are the same. You are selfish but you pretend otherwise. So you married exactly the same kind of person.

For that matter, I can't help wondering, had Bhaiya thrown Elena out, would you have left with her for real?


In Bhaiya's room, he is trying to control his temper: Sonakshi, I know, your heart is very big. You can forgive people even after such a huge mistake. But I can't. 

He grabs her arms again: If anyone tries to hurt you, they will find out that when Dev Dixit becomes bad, how bad he can become. 

Sonakshi stammers: Dev, but...

Bhaiya says: No. Today you won't say anything. You will just listen to me. From today onwards you won't hide anything from me. You will tell me every little thing. Even if you see even a shadow around you, you will tell me that right away. Whatever is happening, the moment it happens, you will tell me. So that I can manage the situation.

He grabs Sonakshi again.


Me: Holy mother of God, Bhaiya. Stop being frigging creepy.

Sonakshi, at this point, there's only one question you need to ask yourself. 

Do you fear that he will hurt you? 

If yes, then leave him. Right away. 

If no, then ask the next question. Did you try to tell him how his behaviour is making you scared?

If no, then try telling him and make him see sense.

If yes and nothing changed, call a psychiatrist.

And Bhaiya, pay attention to Sonakshi's face. She is scared. Is this how you want your wife to look? Do you think that is love? 

Also, while I agree that she should have told you about Vicky and you might have felt betrayed when Elena told you the truth but Sonakshi didn't, but that does not excuse your unreasonable demands to know what she is upto every single second of her life. She is not obligated to check in with you every moment. She is your wife, not a prisoner. 

And for heaven's sake, someone take him to a psychiatrist. 



Mamaji is crying in the garden. Ishwari tries to console him. He says: Don't say anything, Ishwari. A son does last rights of his parents, but here a son's mistakes made a father ashamed. 

Just then they see Vicky coming down with his suitcase. 

He looks at Ishwari and Mamaji, then sees Elena. He turns around and sees his mother crying upstairs. 

Ishwari tells Mamaji: Bhaiya, do something. He has just got lost. Bhaiya, it's your responsibility to hold his finger and make him understand.

Mamaji denies. 

Vicky leaves.

Me: Such a huge drama for Vicky leaving Dixit house. Even Sonakshi leaving her parents' house after marriage didn't drag that long. One day free guests gotta go anyway. He just lasted for years. 


Bhaiya is still in creepy mode in his room.

Bhaiya says: I won't let anything get ruined. Nothing will go wrong. 

He grabs Sonakshi again and shakes her: You are understanding naa, Sonakshi.

Sonakshi shakily nods her head.

He grabs her cheek: I love you very much, Sonakshi. No one can separate you from me, no one.

He roughly hugs her. Sonakshi is petrified.

Me: I swear to God, Bhaiya. You are freaking me out. Unfortunately I can't blame you much because you are obviously a mental patient and I know that mental issues are not under the patient's control. That's why all my hopes are lying on you, Sonakshi.

First step to identify mental problem is to acknowledge it. Avoiding mental issues don't make them disappear. So for God's sake, identify his problems and handle it before it's too late. 

He is steadily moving towards a point of no return. Grab him and drag him back before he fall over the edge.

PRECAP: Soha is with Golu, her teacher and classmates when suddenly she leaves her hand and walks towards something like a total moron.

Suddenly the teacher and Golu shout her name as a motorcycle is coming towards her. Soha hides her face in fear.

Me: There were a few complaints of Soha being too matured for her age because she was matured, understanding and had an active brain on her shoulder. Since she came to Dixit house, she has turned into a lier, a cheater and also lost her common sense. People progress, she regressed. I wonder if Sonakshi should have left her in Bose house and also stayed there herself. 


Next scene is Sonakshi comes running in the house calling Soha's name.

Bhaiya stops her: Sonakshi, when Suhana needed her mother, you weren't there.

Sonakshi says: Dev, I was stuck in the traffic.

Bhaiya says: From now on, you will do all work from home. That's best for all of us.

Sonakshi is shocked.

Me: Do you seriously need more proof of his mental sickness, Sonakshi? 

Bhaiya, here's a deal for you. Since Sonakshi has no interest to become a housewife, you become a house husband. Hand over your company to Sonakshi (she is in the same office so she can run both company), drop the kids to school and her to work in the morning (since you are paranoid), go to office to keep an eye on Sona (for safety purpose only) and wait to get a call from school just in case Soha needs her father, then go and pick them all up and go home.

How about it? Doesn't it sound a situation that's best for your paranoia, Sonakshi's wish and all around a win-win situation?

Or, alternatively, you can go see a psychiatrist and fix your issue. 

The option you don't have is to tell Sonakshi what she should do. That option is not available.
