Tia's Thread - The Beginning to An End!!!
Hello dearies,
This is it. This is the last week of Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi!!! A show which brought us together and entertained and frustrated us in equal measure. A show whose first 150 episodes I still watch on repeat because they were iconic scenes of Indian Television in terms of execution, screenplay and brilliant performances.
However, since the show is ending on Aug 25th and I am on vacation, Gauri will be updating the blog on Thursday, Aug 24th and Friday, Aug 25th, 2017.
If you want to continue any discussion, I will open a page called "KRPKAB Reloaded" where you can share, admire, appreciate, criticise or just generally talk about any scene/episode/characters you want to talk about.
What will I do in this blog once the show ends you ask?
Well, since I will be travelling, I will write my travel diaries with pictures from my trip. If you guys are still interested, feel free to check them out.
As for my co-writers, feel free to write anything you feel like writing or sharing. If you want to talk about any new show, go ahead.

Asha says: Absolutely. But that's husband's job. When wife is pregnant, they have all the tension in the world.

Asha says: Yes, so who is stopping them to get tensed? But the problem is that they take all stress alone. They don't get stressed as much as they stress others.

Sonakshi says: Maa, you should have seen Dev last night. I had to drag him to bed. He was not letting go off the book. And when I woke up, I saw that he made notes in the book.
Asha laughs: Is he studying that much?
Sonakshi says: Yes, even doctors don't study as much.

Just then Bhaiya comes there.
Ishwari says: Arre, he is already up.
Sonakshi asks: How did you get up so soon?
Bhaiya says: I am half an hour late. Come on. Extend your arm.

Bhaiya: What why? I want to check your blood pressure. Doctor said we should monitor it regularly.
Ishwari and Asha are amused.

Me: Youtube University's special course : ACLA (Anyone Can Learn Anything)!!! Kisiko bhi kuch bhi sikha sakta hain!!!

Bhaiya: Shut up. If you talk like this, BP will increase.
He tests BP to be normal.
Bhaiya: It's normal. But I will still call the doctor and let her know.
Sonakshi looks at Asha and Ishwari. They smile.
Me: Bhaiya is sweet. But he is always over the top. The doctor will resign if Bhaiya keeps on calling to report normal status.
But if that makes him let Sonakshi live a regular lifestyle without his brand of smothering, let him continue to run after Sonakshi with BP machine. That's still manageable.
Radha is instructing on healthy food to PK.
She says: Write Semolina. Write it down fast. The food should be tasty but with less oil. My child will eat healthy, then she will remain fit naa.
PK says: I got it.
Me: Wow, Radha now calls Sonakshi her baby? What the eff?
PK agrees.
Radha: Shut up. You have come from vacation after such a long time. Now work fast.
Me: Oh, so not Sonakshi. She is talking about Bhaiya. I thought since everyone is doing personality transplant, may be Radha also got hers done over the weekend. Lol...
Ishwari comes there with Sonakshi: Bhabhi, you are in kitchen so early?
Me: Whatttttt????? So not only she is not moving in with her Vicky, she is also still using Bhaiya's money to make healthy food for her red? Are you frigging kidding me? That's why I had said, get rid of the moochers.
No wonder Radha is not moving anywhere. I hate freeloaders.
Radha looks at Sonakshi and says: Hummm... So Jiji's ex-nutrition, tell me if this food is healthy for my Vicky?
Sonakshi says in slightly sarcastic tone: Mamiji, you know better than me.
And of course Radha the moron doesn't get sarcasm. So she becomes happy: That's true. After dieting for so long, you get to learn stuff. But you don't take any tension, I have talked to Vicky. Your company will get his office's nutrition contract.

Me: Now, I enjoyed this sarcastic Sonakshi so much. I swear, witty Sonakshi is my all time favourite. Unfortunately, she tends to hide behind dumb Sonakshi most of the time. It was hilarious to watch. Finally Sonakshi found her biting teeth without losing her dignity. Reminded me off the time Sonakshi came after break up and showed a mirror to Ishwari and Radha.
Soha and Golu are in the school.
Golu says: I didn't want to talk to you. But I am still talking to you.
Soha: Why? What did I do?
Golu: You pretend to be too busy these days. When I call to complain, you cut the phone and go elsewhere.
Soha: Why would I do this without any reason? I really had to do homework.
Golu: You are so busy that I get bored. We haven't gone out for so many days.
Soha says: Okay fine. We will go out...
Golu: Really?
Soha says: We will buy some special gift and eat cheeseburger.
Golu: Where will we go? And what is the special gift, tell naa?

Sonakshi comes to her wardrobe and opens it. Then she remembers what Bhaiya said and did to make her work from home.
Bhaiya comes there and asks: Are you looking for your Wonder Woman costume?
Me: Let me tell you Bhaiya, I am mighty impressed by you. You have improved a lot. This was the right attitude. You can't forcefully make people change their priorities, but if your priorities are them, you change your schedule to accommodate them.
Bhaiya, on the other hand, is changing tables and chairs with comfort in mind.
Sonakshi hears the noise. She says: What is this commotion going on outside?
Her secretary says: I don't know, ma'am.
They go out to check.
Bhaiya is planning to create a library where he can stock books for employees.
There are a bunch of kids' picture on the wall.
Sonakshi asks: Dev, what is going on?
Bhaiya says: Sonakshi, why are you here? You should be in your cabin, no?

Bhaiya says: I just realised that there are so many pregnant ladies in the office and also those who are planning to get pregnant. And I can't believe it. Our office is not pregnancy friendly at all. That's why we have to do a lot of changes.

Me (Facepalm): Bhaiya, do you mean to say that you didn't ask who is pregnant or not, but just assumed based on the size of the tummy who is pregnant and provided pregnancy kit? Are you kidding me?
Sonakshi pulls his cheeks: Awww... My big baby.
Bhaiya: Keep your awws to yourself.
Sonakshi: Why are you so cute?
Bhaiya: What is this? It's so confusing?
Sonakshi: Anyway, I am leaving for home shortly.
Bhaiya: Okay, I will finish my work and come with you.
Sonakshi: No need. You finish your work and come. I will go with the driver.

Me: Yep, Bhaiya stick to your pregnant wife. No need to go after others' pregnant wives. You can get sued for your behaviour.
Anyhoo, a shirtless Vicky is staring at Elena who is sitting in front of the mirror with romantic music playing in the background.
Me: Lo bolo. Poore serial mein Bhaiya ne bas ek baar shirt utara aur woh bhi botton half of his chest covered in Shimla.
Aur Vicky ka shirt hain jo kabhi bhi utar jaata hain.

(Go figure. In the entire serial, Bhaiya only took his shirt off once and that too with bottom half of his chest covered in Shimla.
And Vicky's shirt comes off any time at moment's notice.
We wanted to see romance of Bhaiya and Sona, and they are showing these freeloader's romance instead)
Vicky romances Elena and notices her birth control pills on the nightstand.
He thinks about what Radha said.
He makes excuses and runs.
Elena wonders what happened to him. She is shocked.
Me: Sorry, this portion is short because they turn my stomach.
Bhaiya is working in the office.
He thinks about what Sonakshi said.
The guy asked if Bhaiya will be here for testing.
Bhaiya asks him to handle. He leaves for home.
At home, Sonakshi is working.
Ishwari says: Sona beta, work later. Now drink the soup.
Sonakshi says: Maa, I ate at work.
Ishwari: But that was a while ago. And besides that was your food. This is for my Shubh.
Sonakshi: Not any more. If I keep eating like this, I will gain another 50 kilos by delivery.
Ishwari: You will be of 50 kilos. And whatever weight you gain, you lose after delivery. You are nutrition, naa?
She feeds Sona more.
Sonakshi says: Did you eat?
Ishwari says: I will eat with Soha.
Just then Soha comes running.
Ishwari says: Look, think of the devil and she is here. Come my doll. We were just talking about you. You will live for 100 years.
Soha says: 100 years? Dadi, I will get old by then.
Ishwari kisses her: You will get old? You are grandma even now.
Sonakshi laughs. She asks: Did you bring stuff for your project? We will do the project together. Mamma promised you naa that we will do the project together?
Soha stammers: But Mamma, I didn't bring the stuff for project.
Sonakshi: Why? I gave you money for it. Then why didn't you bring? You are not hiding anything from me, naa? You are not lying to me?
Ishwari says: No, Sonakshi. Soha has promised her Dadi that she will never lie again.
Soha says: Yes, I will never lie again.
Ishwari says: Then tell Mamma.
Soha opens her school bag and takes out baby clothes.
She gives them to Sonakshi.
Soha: I went to get these for baby. So I had no money left for project.
Sonakshi and Ishwari get emotional.
Sonakshi asks teary eyed: You went to get these?
Soha says: Golu and I went to the market. So we bought clothes for the baby. He is my little brother, no?
Sonakshi is overwhelmed. Ishwari is too.
Me: When I was in school, I used to go to school in a rickshaw. My grandmother used to give the rickshaw guy money if I needed to pick something for school on the way. But I never got money until my family was sure that I understand the value of money. And for that I had to "earn" them with grades. Nothing was given to me for free where I could spend it wherever I want without thinking about it twice.
So while it was cute for an elder sister to buy baby gifts for soon-to-arrive baby, I don't find this to be a good idea. Specially since they let a child go to the market with cash in hand. I am not a parent yet. So the parents will be able to tell me if this is something they will do with a 8 years old.

The doctor tells Bhaiya: That's the heartbeat of your child.
Bhaiya is very happy.

Just then a ward boy comes and tells the doctor that there is a labour emergency.
The doctor says that she is coming.
She says: Mr. Dixit, I will be back shortly.
Bhaiya says: But...
Sonakshi looks shocked.
The doctor leaves.
Bhaiya looks at the screen of the ultrasound monitor in awe and Sonakshi is looking at the screen worried.
Me: Uh-oh... Spaghetti Os... Does Sonakshi sees something being a medical professional that Bhaiya doesn't understand?
And by the way, which doctor just up and leaves leaving people attached to a machine and without any indication when she will be back? Seriously?
The ward boy said that it was a labour emergency. So if the labour lasts for over 24 hours, will Sonakshi and Bhaiya vegetate here like this for that duration?

The writers of this show is definitely hung over the 70s Bollywood movies. I mean the entire Dixit clan reeks of 70s melodrama. So Ishwari doesn't like bhaiya missing his sleep, but is OK with sonakshi taking such a huge risk. This show definitely has continuity issues. One moment everyone was worried abt pregnancy complications, now noone cares abt it. They could have given fond memories for the last episodes. But alas one can only hope.
ReplyDeleteYep. That's why I am wiping my memories after every episode this week. Because otherwise I will be ranting even on the last week. And forget Ishwari and Bhaiya. Asha is behaving as if her daughter is having a normal pregnancy. She doesn't even care that her daughter's life is at risk.
