Tia's Thread - Priorities!!!
For some people, family is their priority.
For some people, it's their career.
For some people, money.
For some people, love.
It all varies from people to people.
But for a child, their only priority is to have his/her parents by his/her side.
Any loving parents know that even if the whole world disappears, but a child has his/her parents, they can still be content.
But even if a child has the whole world around them, but his/her parents are missing, nothing can fill that emptiness inside them.
I wonder what is Sonakshi's priorities these days.
EPISODE: The episode starts with Bhaiya and Sonakshi entering Soha's room. They see Soha sleeping, but don't see Vicky and Golu.
Bhaiya says: She is sleeping. Let's not disturb her.
They leave.
Soha gets up and calls Golu and Vicky.
Golu says: It's so much fun to hide.
Soha says: Thank God, Papa didn't see you. Or there'd have been another fight. I am so happy you came here to wish me.
Me: Wow, Bhaiya. You made such a great image in front of Soha thanks to your impulses and poor anger management that now she is protecting a grade A cheat from you.
It's not enough to just give birth to a child to be a parent. Parents also have to set an example for their children on good behaviour.
Vicky: You are welcome, beta.
Soha: We will meet tomorrow at school. You will come tomorrow, naa?

Golu wants a taste. Soha feeds Golu, then Golu tries to put cake on Soha's face.
Vicky's face clearly indicates that he is seeing his plan being successful.
Vicky says: It's too late now. We must go or your Papa will beat us up.
Golu and Vicky leave. Soha waves bye.
Me: Soha will believe Vicky's statement about Bhaiya because it's not as if Bhaiya has maintained any decorum in front of his own daughter.
Talking about decorum, today I was reminded of Bhaiya's first birthday after marriage.

Sonakshi had just asked for the night before his birthday leaving the whole birthday to his family. But suddenly Ishwari changed her plan and Bhaiya couldn't open his mouth to ask her to wait for his wife who requested just one night from him?

Soha says: Yes, Dadi. When I was in the camp with Mummy Papa, then I saw a falling star and wished on it.

Ishwari asks: You make cards with your own hand? But you can get better cards in the market. How do you know the one you make is the best card?
Soha: It's not the best. But for Mamma, it's the best card. Mamma told me.

Me: Okay, CVs. We got it. All men are idiots and all their attempts are disaster so that their super-wives can come and save the day. That's the message you want to convey, right?
I mean of course, Bijoy will attempt to make a dress without any tailoring experience for Soha and of course, he will get no sample dress to measure for sizes, and of course he will do a shitty job.
After all, how else Asha will swoop in and save his sorry ass and get all the credit for being know-it-all?
I am sure Bhaiya is going to do a blunder soon where Sonakshi will again has to swoop in and save the day. Like mother, like daughter.
In Dixit house, Bhaiya asks Sonakshi: Cake is ready. Shall I bring it?
Sonakshi says: Yes.
Bhaiya brings the cake and says: I am thinking how excited Suhana will be to see the cake.
Sonakshi smiles and says: I can't believe Suhana is going to be 8 years old. It seems you are turning 8.
Me: Yep. You are right. And you are his child minder.
The man who knows exactly how his wife likes her coffee, can sense her even when he can't see her, doesn't know which flavour of cake his daughter prefers and even when he is told that his daughter likes vanilla, he decides to make chocolate cake anyway.
May be this is his screw up from where Sonakshi will again rescue him. Gotta keep up with Mummy.
Bhaiya says: Hurry up. I am getting angry.
Bhaiya is about to leave. But Sonakshi doesn't move.
He asks: What happened?
Sonakshi says: Thank you.
Bhaiya: For what?
Sonakshi: For putting so much effort.
Bhaiya: I hate to say this. But you put more effort than me. I wanted to say one more thing. I am getting hungry. Hurry up.
They leave with the cake.
In Soha's room, she is hugging her Mickey Mouse: Mickey, I am very happy.
She kisses Mickey.
Ishwari comes there.
Soha says: Dadi, I am very happy.
She pulls Ishwari.
Ishwari laughs and says: I am getting dizzy.
Soha says: I am very happy that Golu came to wish me. But his driver came and took him away. I wish he stayed here.
Ishwari thinks. She says: It will happen very soon. Come on, now it's getting late. Let's go to bed. And let me put all these toys away.
Then Ishwari notices the cake Vicky got.
She asks Soha who brought the cake.
Soha says: Golu got the cake.
Ishwari says: No, Golu didn't bring it. When he came here, I didn't see anything in his hand. Suhana?
Suhana thinks.
Just then Bhaiya and Sonakshi come there with cake.
Me: I have a question.
They both saw Suhana sleeping. They decided not to bother Suhana this time of the night. Then why did they bring the cake again the same night?
But then I am talking logic, sorry.
Anyhoo, Bhaiya says: Happy Birthday, beautiful.
Suhana says: Thank you, Papa.
Sonakshi says: Mummy, Papa baked cake for you.
Ishwari says: Wow.
Bhaiya brings a stool to put the cake on.
Suhana looks at the cake and gets disappointed.
Bhaiya says: Come on, close your eyes and make a wish.
Sonakshi stops him: Wait, there's still time until 12.
Bhaiya says: Okay.
Then he finally notices Suhana's disappointed face: What happened?
Suhana says: You know that I don't like chocolate cake. I only like Vanilla cake.
She stomps off in anger.
Bhaiya and Sonakshi are upset. Ishwari also feel sad for them. She goes after Suhana who is sitting in the garden.
Ishwari asks: What are you looking at, my child? Stars?
Soha says: Yes, Dadi. When I was in the camp with Mummy Papa, then I saw a falling star and wished on it.
Ishwari asks: What?
Soha: For Mamma Papa to get together so that I can get both of their love.
Ishwari feels sad.
Soha says: Look, there's another falling star.
Me (*SNORT*): Of course. These days stars fall on demand. How convenient.
Soha makes another wish.
Ishwari asks: What did you wish for?
Soha says: That from next time Mamma Papa to remember that I like Vanilla cake.
Me: And this takes the cake. Literally.
Miss Suhana Bose could not bear to break a promise, or tell a lie, or hurt another person. She swallowed her disappointment to make the people she loved happy.
Miss Suhana Dixit on the other hand, tells lies, is selfish and doesn't feel even a twinge of remorse for behaving like a spoiled brat.
I wonder if her first wish did anyone any good.
Ishwari looks up and sees Bhaiya and Sonakshi looking at Soha upset.
She asks: Tell me one thing Suhana. What do you give your parents on their birthday?
Soha says: I make cards for Mamma.
Ishwari asks: You make cards with your own hand? But you can get better cards in the market. How do you know the one you make is the best card?
Soha: It's not the best. But for Mamma, it's the best card. Mamma told me.
Ishwari says: Why do you think your Mamma loves your card the best?
Soha: Because I make it and Mamma loves me a lot.
Bhaiya and Sonakshi smile.
Ishwari says: You are absolutely right. And similarly, your parents made this cake for you. May be this is not the best cake, but they made it with a lot of love and effort just for you. If they wanted, they could have got you a cake from the market. But they didn't do it. Tell me why?
Soha: Because their cake has a lot of love and because they love me a lot.
Ishwari smiles.
Soha: Dadi, I made a mistake.
Ishwari: So now, what will my sweet, understanding child do?
Soha: I will say sorry to Mummy and Papa.
Soha goes to Bhaiya and Soha and says sorry.
Bhaiya says: There's no need to say sorry.
Soha says: I want to cut my birthday cake. I will eat whole eight pieces.
Bhaiya goes to get the cake.
They cut the cake and celebrate her birthday.
Bhaiya comes to Ishwari and mouths thank you.
Ishwari smiles and nods.
Me: Very cute scene. So I was partially right. Bhaiya did screw up. But of course, Sonakshi is only the part time saviour here. So if not her, then Ishwari must save the day.

However, for your kind information, men are equally capable of taking care of children, house and intricate/diplomatic situation as women. These skills don't come attached with female hormones for women to lay claim on.
The difference is that media and society keep telling men they suck at one end while telling women they suck at another. If media and society tell either gender that they are capable of anything they set their minds on, may be one day all gender biases will disappear.
Saurabh is working late.
Ronita calls him and asks how long will he work. She asks him to come to bed.
Saurabh says that he will come.
Ronita goes back to sleep and Saurabh keeps working.
Me: Wow, good to see him working for a change. I used to think he is silent partner to have same working hours as retired Bijoy.
Sonakshi is sleeping when she gets hit by a deflated balloon.
She wakes up to see balloons littered on the floor. She asks Bhaiya: What is all this, Dev?
Bhaiya says: You woke up?
He gets back to blowing balloons.
Sonakshi laughs and says: You are sitting like Golgappa among the balloons.
Bhaiya says: Didn't you hear what Suhana and Maa said? If we will do all this by ourselves, Suhana will like this.
Sonakshi: But tomorrow the decorator is arriving. They will do all this.
Bhaiya: Okay fine. Come here and help me.
Sonakshi says: Okay balloon guy.
She sits down on the floor and helps Bhaiya blowing balloons.
Me: Bhaiya's heart is in the right place. But he goes overboard on everything. His excessive nature gets him into trouble. He needs to learn the art of moderation.
Vicky and Golu come home in the dark.
Suddenly the lights come on and it's Elena.
She asks: Vicky, you said that you will stand outside. What was the need for you to enter like thieves?
Me: Ummm... Because he is a thief?
Vicky says: Who told you?
Elena: Mummy ji called me and told me everything. Did you want to get insulted again?
Vicky says: I went all the way there. If I hadn't wished Soha, then it would have looked weird.
Elena: The way you bumped into Mummy, what if you'd have bumped into Dev Bhai?
Vicky: What would have happened? He would have scolded me and throw me out of the house again.
Elena: Vicky, why don't you understand? Your love for Soha is in one place. But I can't tolerate if someone insults you.
Me: Wow, Elena. Such love for your useless husband. So much so that you couldn't even pick up a phone and wish Soha, a 8 year old.
Please maintain this love when Vicky goes to jail (and he will one day for sure) and don't bother coming back to Bhaiya's home or Bose house. I think the space for backstabbers in their home is no longer vacant.
Just then Soha calls.
Vicky picks up the phone.
Golu asks: What is Soha saying?
Vicky puts her on the speaker phone.
Soha reads an address of a farm in Chattarpur, New Delhi.
Vicky asks: What is that for?
Soha says: This is the address of the place where Mamma Papa are throwing surprise party for me.
Vicky: You found out the address for surprise party already?
Soha says: No, no. I am very smart. So I found out.
Vicky says: That's good.
Soha says: You come there on time. That's why I called you.
Golu says: Wow, big party. We will come there for sure.
Soha says: I will wait for you. Give a kiss to beautiful from me. Now I am going to sleep. Bye. See you soon.
Elena just smiles a fake smile but doesn't bother even wishing her or responding.
Me: As I said, ever since she married Vicky, Elena seemed opportunist to me. I never changed my mind about this and she just keeps proving me right.
Golu says bye to Soha and asks Vicky: Papa, we will go naa. We can't miss Soha's birthday party.
Elena asks: What will you do now, Vicky? Will you again go there like a thief or get insulted again by going in front of everyone?
She walks away.
Golu says: Mamma is very angry. But we will go there naa, Papa?
Vicky smirks.
Me: There's another solution, Elena. That is if you have no intention to play games.
You or Vicky could drop Golu off there and I am pretty sure Sonakshi/Mamaiji/Mami will bring him back. That way, Vicky won't have to get his spotted reputation muddied farther and Golu would get to be with Soha. It will definitely make him and Soha happy which every loving parents want for their kids, don't they?
But then it won't be playing games using your only son. So I guess, I can count you out from the loving parents category and slot you under user parents category, eh?
Next morning Sonakshi tells Bhaiya: If Soha comes with me, she will find out everything. So if she comes with you, it's better.
Bhaiya says: Okay, then you go first and check out the decorations and I will bring Soha later.
Sonakshi agrees.
Then she says: Oh, there's all these return gifts. I can go there and check all the decoration there and send the driver back. He will collect all these.
Bhaiya agrees. He asks if this is the list.
Sonakshi is directing him to what goes where.
Ishwari sees them working together and gets happy.
Radha comes there and says: Jiji, you are looking very happy. Why won't you be happy? It's Soha's birthday after all. Golu and Vicky did good by coming here last night, didn't they?
Ishwari is shocked to hear that Radha knows.
Radha continues: Why don't you tell Dev and Sona that despite all the insults, my son showed his greatness?
Me: Wait, let me finish laughing first. Greatness after insult? When he sicced goons on Bhaiya to beat him up and then tried to fleece Bhaiya's company? Seriously? Even if Ishwari doesn't know it, Radha knows about the goons, doesn't she?
Radha says: Dev should know this that he isn't the only good boy. What happened, Jiji? Did I say anything wrong? Who knew that my red will bring Soha's favourite Vanilla cake for Soha? You will tell Dev, naa?
Ishwari says: Bhabhi, you know that I can't tell Dev that.
Radha says: You are right. How can Dev know? He is Ram of this house and how can Ram be wrong?
She walks away from there.
Me: If Vicky is such a good boy, then why don't you go to your good boy? Why this eagerness to sing your good boy's praise in front of less than good boy?
What is surprising to me is that
Tripathi family is so used to freeloading and mooching off Dixits, that it
never even occurs to them to just move out and stop persuading Dixits to bring
back their criminal son.
I don't know, but if my son was criminal and had harmed any of my
friends or relative, I will move out because I will be ashamed on my
upbringing. I won't go around demanding them to forgive and bring my son back
to mooch from them.
Radha comes to Bhaiya and Sonakshi who are preparing for the party. She says: Are all preparation done, Ra... Dev beta?
Bhaiya says: Yes, everything is done. But something is always left behind.
Radha says: Yes, this will continue until later. But I am very excited for today's party. Because today's birthday party will be remembered forever. I just wish my Vicky and Elina were also there to give their love.
Bhaiya and Sonakshi look at her.
She hurriedly changes the topic: What am I talking? You guys get ready or it will be late.
She leaves.
Me: No wonder Vicky is the way he is. He had been trained by a master of freeloaders who think the world owes them luxury.
By the way Radha, Elena didn't even bother wishing Soha by phone and she has double relationship with Soha (one as aunt and one as cousin's mother) and when Vicky was living here, he didn't even bother getting a one rupee candy for Soha.
The only reason Vicky is showing love to Soha because he is hoping to use this carrot to capture the golden goose as in Bhaiya. Who are you kidding?
Sonakshi and Bhaiya feel awkward. Ishwari also feels bad.
Sonakshi says: I am getting ready to leave.
She gets dressed and comes out when she gets a call from Bijoy. She says: Baba, why didn't you leave yet? You know you will get stuck in traffic. If you leave late, you will get traffic in highway as well.
Bijoy says: Sona, you come here immediately.
Sona asks: What happened?
Bijoy says: We can't wait to fix what happened. Come fast.
Sonakshi asks again what happened?
Bijoy says: Saurabh got legal notice from creditors and venders. So come fast.
Sonakshi is shocked.
Me: Okay, so CVs want to create drama. But there has to be some sense.
How can only Saurabh get legal notice when the company is also Sonakshi and Jatin's? He is never seen anywhere. So if the creditors and venders had to sue, then they will sue the person or company who signs the check which as Saurabh says is Sonakshi.
Come on, CVs. At least create a believable scenario.
Bhaiya comes to the venue with Ishwari and Soha.
Bhaiya asks Soha: How did you like today's arrangement? It's all for you.
Soha is very happy. She looks around and says: Wow, there are so many superheroes.
Bhaiya says: For my super girl, the theme of the party is superheroes.
Soha says: Wow, Papa. Thank you so much.
Bhaiya says: You are welcome.
Soha says: But where is Mamma? Does she know about this surprise too?
Bhaiya says: Yes. Your Mamma is also here.
Soha asks him to call her.
Bhaiya says: If I call her, this game will get ruined.
Soha asks: Game?
Bhaiya says: This is the game. Your Mamma is here, You have to find her.
Soha says: That's why Mamma is not here with me.
Bhaiya says: Yes. So let's go.
Soha runs off to find Sonakshi.
Ishwari is puzzled.
Soha keeps asking everyone if they have seen her mother.
Bhaiya is thinking: Where is Sonakshi? She should have reached here by now.
Me: I am trying to understand how hard is it to text someone and tell them about the situation so that they can manage one priority while you deal with another?
I don't know how despite having a cell phone, Sonakshi can neither call nor text nor facebook message nor whatsapp nor email Bhaiya about any crisis whatsoever.
But then this is also Asha's trait. She never shares anything with Bijoy. So why would Sonakshi?
Bhaiya always is in the dark and keeps making excuses for her. Had Bhaiya known about the crisis, he could have told Soha that her mother is coming with her grandparents and Mama which would have pacified Soha.
But instead, she is running around looking for her mother instead of enjoying her birthday party.
Sonakshi has really taken mothering lessons from Asha.
PRECAP: Bhaiya is in Vicky's house.
Vicky says: Why are you standing here? Come inside and have a seat.
Bhaiya says: I haven't come here to seat. I came to take you to Soha's birthday party. She is waiting for you. She wants you to attend her birthday party. Now you come with me without any excuse or I will have to drag you there.
Suhana is shown to be standing with Golu waiting for Vicky.
Vicky looks shocked. But we all know he is jumping in joy inside.
Me (Facepalm): Bhaiya, you can't drag an adult man to come to your daughter's party using threats. Honestly, yaar. Does this guy have any sense whatsoever?
He needs to get over his God complex where he can bully people into doing his bidding.
If his impulsive behaviour opens the door for him to appear as the jerk and Vicky as the saint which opens the door for Vicky to slither back in Dixit house, he only has himself to blame.
He needs to understand that he can't give everything Suhana demands. If today she demands for the moon, what will he do? Pay an astronaut to fetch it for her?

Must say yday, I was rooting so much for Dev after a long long time. Wish Sonakshi showed some of her intelligence with regards to Vicky-Elina.
I particularly loved it when Dev confronted Sonakshi on not being there with him...luved it. Everytime Dev is not wrong, this time Sonakshi is being the emotional fool.
Agree with you that men are good at taking care of kids, doing other responsibilities...I'm working bcoz my husband shares responsibilities. He takes proper care, even better care than me of my son bcoz thats his nature, sometimes he goes overboard, but he looks after every other need of my son when I'm absent. If my son gets hurt, he runs first, I'm second...haha, since I feel children get hurt ok but he'll leave everything and run for his kid when my son cries . Not only that, two days back I had a client meeting, so dinner was taken care of by my hubby. Well , he is a better cook than me as well...LOL..I'm the daily cook only..:D
So, its completely wrong to say the male of the family cant take care of kids, etc etc...atleast in my case, its role reversal.
As for the show, it makes me wonder in which era we are living.
Love for Bijoy as when time comes, he knows wht is priority and speaks for Sourabh. There was a time when ppl used to complain tht he doesnt love Sourabh equally. Today, he showed what a balanced person he is. He is my all-time favourite. Thanks to CVs for not yet ruining him.
Soha- I wud prefer she gets disciplined asap. Somehow, I cant tolerate brats...even if they r kids.

DeleteI completely agree with you. God knows why these shows show men as clueless morons. As your and my experience are proof that men can do anything women can do equally well and vice versa.
My husband also shares housework chores since like you, I am also a working woman. We don't have kids yet. But when we do, I have no doubt that he will be equally capable of handling them as me.
I, as always, loved Bijoy. He is my favourite character. He is loving, caring, protective. He might tease Saurabh but he is never malicious and he is equally willing to take back teasing from Saurabh. He is truly an ideal example of husband and father. Bhaiya has improved a lot as a husband. But right now, he is the indulgent father who is willing to do anything for his daughter.
Whatever Soha demands, she gets. So no wonder, she has become a spoiled brat. There is no moderation in Bhaiya's dictionary. Parents also must discipline their kids, not only pamper them.
I am totally like you. I can't tolerate spoiled brats. Hence, I find Soha unbearable these days. But it's not her fault. It's her parents' fault for overindulging her.
Don't even get me started on the precap. I hope Soha never falls in love with someone who doesn't love her. Because if the guy says no, Bhaiya seems to be the dad who will hire goon to kidnap the boy and threat him to love his daughter.
Don't even get me started on Elena. I stopped liking her since the day she married Vicky. I didn't like her interfering between Bhaiya and Sonakshi to get them together, I still don't like her manipulation.

The show reeks of so much negativity.
I despise this dev dude, there is nothing lovable in him. For him, love is a competition. He wants to be most important person in everyone's life,which is simply not possible. This man has a lot of disturbing flaws that it's not even cute even with all that lively background score.
So now given such a stubborn and intolerant man, we now have an even more stubborn and manipulative kid soha,who is even more unbearable.
BTW, showing a sonakshi who is like a national highway, anyone can walk over her, is making the balance so distorted it's making the show extremely sick.
Ishwari thought fainting and lectures will make her get her way, whereas now soha thinks manipulation and tantrums will get her what she wants.
The Dixit gene sure is strong huh.
My problem with Bhaiya, which is according to me his biggest flaw, is his impulses and his lack of control when it comes to his family. If he was living in medieval times and was a King ruling the land, it would have been acceptable - not forgivable, but acceptable based on the social structure. But he is in modern world with laws and order. We have to maintain some mode of civility to live in the society. He can't go around threatening people without getting the consequences. This flaw of his is so huge that it overshadows whatever good quality he has.
DeleteHe doesn't care whom he hurts to get what he or his family want. Now Vicky can be forgiven on that ground as well. He can also claim that he is a cheater, a lier, a fraud because of his family. Then what is the difference between him and Bhaiya?
Sonakshi was always people pleaser. That exactly what makes her a doormat. But she is more like Asha than Bijoy. Asha only tries to please those people who don't care about her. She behaves like the boss over those people who loves her. For her, if she has to choose between someone who hates her and/or doesn't give a damn about her vs. someone she loves, she will pick the former. This is the strangest mentality. Even an animal protects its own. Sonakshi takes that trait from Asha.
Between these two, Soha is now manipulative, insensitive, a lier and yes, as of recently, also a cheater and also walking on the same path as Asha and Sonakshi to give more importance to people who never gave a damn about her over people who she supposedly loves. But then we always knew that she isn't loyal like Golu. The girl who can switch loyalty on newfound father and new family from the mother, uncle and family who loved her since birth, can switch loyalty from father and newfound Family to any random person in a heartbeat. She is showing both Bhaiya and Asha's traits.
Dixit gene is sure strong but so is Asha's genes to run three generations.

DeleteYes, the shows seems to be ending...Erica confirmed. Sadly not bcoz its low on TRPs but bcoz the makers/TV unit are going on indefinite strike. I find it weird actually. If for the strike they r ending the show, then how will they telecast KBC?
