Tia's Thread - The Quilted Love!!!

Hi everyone,

This is it. This is the last post from me until Tuesday. Gauri will open the thread tomorrow, Aug 3rd, Friday, Aug 4th and Monday, Aug 7th. So please join me to give her a huge thanks and squishy hugs.

See you guys next week.

Thanks

T

Before I start writing my thoughts, I just want to recite a mini poem which Ishwari reminded me of yesterday.

Those of you who watched Maine Pyar Kiya would know this one.

"Yeh zulfein hain tumhari ya resham ka jaal...

Yeh zulfein hain tumhari ya resham ka jaal...

Kitne khush naseeb hain woh chuhe jinhone katre tumhare baal"...

(Is this your hair or a silky lair...

How lucky are those rats who chewed on your hair)

Dedicated to Bhaiya as per Maiya and most of the fandom...

Moving on...

So the question is why I titled this post as the Quilted Love?

Have you guys seen quilts? They are pieces of fabric, beautifully designed using different colour, shade and textures of fabric pieced together.

Now they do look very beautiful from the outside. But if even one piece of fabric is made with cheap material, then the whole quilt falls apart. That one piece of fabric can bleed colours into others, disintegrate or damage the whole quilt.

You must be wondering why I am talking about Quilts?

Well, you see Bhaiya and Sonakshi's love is like patchwork quilt. Allow me to explain.

Do you recall the first time Bhaiya proposed Sonakshi? He said, "I love you as a man loves a woman"...

It was an iconic line and touched everyone's heart.

Why? Because here is a man who is offering his past, present and future to the woman he loves out of his own free will and hopes that the woman will return the favour and choose him back with her own free will.

And she did. Sonakshi chose Bhaiya with her whole heart and free will.

Since then they broke up, got back together, broke up again, got back together again.

But that free will never happened.

When they broke up for the first time, it was because, "A mother loved her son but hates anyone whom her son loves".

When they got back again as in got married, it was because, "A mother loves her son enough to let him have his toy".

When they got divorced it was because, "A mother doesn't love her son enough to treat her daughter-in-law well".

Then they again got back together because, "Now both the mother-in-law love their in-law more than they love their own children and think they know best".

And even today, Bhaiya and Sonakshi are still depending on someone else to put a patch on their relationship to the point that they are incapable of identifying, analysing and solving their own problems.

It's like their love is a patchwork quilt which keeps falling apart after every wash of reality and they need someone else to bring a piece of fabric and sew it on the quilt so that it survives a few more days.

Now I ask you, what will happen the day Ishwari, Mamaji, Mamiji, Bijoy and Asha all pass away? I mean they are getting older. How long will they live anyway?

Elena and Vicky have to get busy with Golu or their own selfish pursuit or whatever...

The sisters visit very infrequently. Once their mother is dead, they will probably only visit in festivals or special occasions or when they need their brother.

Saurabh and Ronita will also be parents and will be busy raising their brood.

Soha will grow up and will be in university/married/or whatever...

What will happen to Sonakshi and Bhaiya without anyone patching up their eff-ed up relationship where they are,

a. Unable to understand each other,

b. Unwilling to understand each other,

c. Not willing to talk logically (Bhaiya also has tendency to mimic Ussain Bolt when he doesn't get his own way),

d. Utterly insensitive to each other's feelings except what they think is right and

e. Can't guess each other's feelings even though they could read each other like picture books before getting back together (well, right now it seems that they think that the other one is a book written in Hebrew or Swahili)

I will tell you what will happen.

Bhaiya is not someone who will ever let Sonakshi go. Because he needs Sonakshi.

Sonakshi is not someone who can admit that she had made another mistake with the same person. Besides, I think she has kind of nailed her way out shut.

So they will live unhappily ever after and make each other miserable just like Mamaji and Mamiji.

The End...

Until then, enjoy the show.

EPISODE: The episode starts with Sonakshi standing on the street and trying to open an umbrella.

Just then Bhaiya comes there. He gets out of the car.

Me: I am sorry. Did I miss something?

When did Sonakshi went out?

How did Bhaiya find out where she is? Wasn't he in the kitchen with Ishwari? Is he still tracking her?

And why didn't she bring a car with her and now struggling with an umbrella?

Or why didn't she go inside a building and call a cab or uber?

Someone please tell me if the online upload missed a scene. Because it makes no sense.

Bhaiya walks to her in the rain. Sonakshi looks at him all romantic like as she didn't just blasted his head off.

Bhaiya opens the umbrella and holds it on her head.

Background music: Romantic old tune. Not creepy stalker one.

Sonakshi is looking at Bhaiya as if Shahrukh Khan is holding the umbrella instead of the same husband which pissed her off just a while ago.

Me: That's it? All it took for Sonakshi to loose her marbles is Bhaiya in the rain? Then Bhaiya, next time when you lock her up and go behind her back, make sure to dump a bucket of water over your head.

She will instantly become the mindless bimbo you wanted her to be and will do whatever you tell her to do.

And this woman wonders why she always faces the same problem with Bhaiya. *SNORT*

Bhaiya says: Shall we go?

He starts to walk but Sonakshi is still standing and staring like an idiot.

Bhaiya says: Do you have tension from work? Must be important.

Sonakshi says: Not more than you, naa? It's not more important than this moment naa?

Bhaiya: Sonakshi.

Sonakshi says: Files can be made again. But this moment? It won't come back again, naa?

Me: Excuse me. I am sorry. I am not being able to wrap my head around this. It feels as if I skipped an episode where they sorted out their differences.

Can one of you tell me if there was more scenes after Ishwari and Bhaiya's conversation yesterday?

But honestly Sonakshi, if we knew that all it takes is rain for you to become same spineless moron, Bhaiya would have installed rain shower in Dixit house garden.

Then every time you talk about something important which he doesn't want to discuss, he will drag you under the rain shower, switch it on and you will become dumb, drooling idiot.

Problem solved.

If there are men reading this: Don't attempt this on real women. Women don't turn idiot in rain.

Sonakshi takes the umbrella and throws it away.

Bhaiya says: What are you doing?

Sonakshi: Dev, why do you confuse me so much? When you were telling me to work from home, then my work wasn't important to you. Now I am trying to spend time with you and you are concerned about my files? You are so confusing. What kind of love is this that I am not understanding?

Me: Oh hello, Ammaji. He is not confusing. You are.

He was always steady in one point until Ishwari paraphrased what you already said many times and suddenly his tube light brain caught fire.

But you? You always do exact opposite of what he thinks you will do.

When he said you work from home, you pretended as if your life will end if you don't work from home.

Granted, he had no right to say so. But you gave him and us the impression that that matter was important to you. In fact, it was so important that you ranted to Elena and Ishwari about it.

But suddenly, you had no talk or discussion with anyone to get any epiphany, yet the moment you saw Bhaiya in the rain, instead of asking how he knew where you are (valid question considering his stalking tendencies and spy network), you got so dumb that now suddenly you are like screw my job. I want to romance in the rain in working hours.

And you go and scold your employees to think that you have zero brain, zero conviction, zero credibility in front of Bhaiya.

He is definitely not confusing. You are.

Bhaiya says: If you don't want to work at home, it's okay.

Sonakshi smiles: See? You did it again. When will you stop being mystery man, Dev?

Me (*SNORT*): Bhaiya and mystery? All he knows is chemistry. Mystery is the plot line of this show which CVs chew on when they feel hungry.

Bhaiya: You are saying this? You always say that I am so predictable that I always do what you think I will do.

Me: That was before, Bhaiya. You know, before she got back together with you. Now she is so dumb that her picture book (i.e. you) seems Hebrew-Swahili dictionary to her.

Sonakshi puts her arms around Bhaiya's neck: Miss Bose used to say that. But Mrs. Dixit will always be impressed I promise.

Me: Who the eff writes Sonakshi's dialogues yaar? I mean where does it say that predictable is not impressive and unpredictable is impressive? I am trying to understand what is the connection between predictability and being impressed? It's the act which impresses, not the predictability of it.

Sorry, my brain is feeling like yogurt which CVs have dipped their plot line and gobbled it up.

Bhaiya holds her hand: And I promise, I will surprise Mrs. Dixit just like this always.

Me: Abey kaun sa surprise? (What surprise?) Did you guys see any surprise there? Mujhe to nehin dikha (I didn't see it).

Sonakshi says: You know what? I have a surprise for you.

Bhaiya with dil mein laddo phooting expression on his face (suppressed excited expression): What?

Sonakshi holds out her hand: Mr. Dixit, will you go out on a date with me?

Bhaiya smiles and grabs it fast: Always.

Me: Neki aur pooch pooch (you gotta ask)? Bhaiya to ready since forever.

Sonakshi says: Will you still go if we have problems in our relationship?

Bhaiya holds Sonakshi's shoulder and says: There can never be problem between us.

Soankshi: Even when you can't go on a date with someone else?

Me: Really? Even when Bhaiya was on a date with someone else, his radar was locked to you. Now that he got you, he will go on a date with someone else? Stop asking moronically coy questions. You are annoying me.

Bhaiya says: I don't want to go on a date with anyone else.

Sonakshi says: Really? Did you hang your swag with your bike and jacket in the wardrobe?

Me: No, really. Who the heck writes these idiotic dialogues? It's bloody painful for me to react.

First of all, I am pretty sure Bhaiya didn't hang his bike in the wardrobe and what does swag has to do with Bhaiya not wanting to cheat on his wife? Since when cheating is equated with swag?

Rain falls harder. Bhaiya says: Do you remember we...

Sonakshi says: I remember everything.

Bhaiya smiles and they dance in the rain with romantic music, not creepy stalker music.

Me: There you go. Here's the footage for which they hurried up the patch up. First they showed Bhaiya nutcase for more than a week, Sonakshi scared out of her skull, the whole family is in chaos, Soha got insecurity.

But all it took is Ishwari paraphrasing what Sonakshi already said since over a week and Bhaiya's craziness is gone in a jiffy.

All it took is water being dumped on Sonakshi's head (rain) and her wish for freedom and independence to make her own decision also over in a heartbeat.

Funnily enough when they romance in broad daylight in the middle of the road, no moral police hawaldaar (constable) comes charging with his stick.

All the lovers in Delhi, ask Bhaiya where does he romance, so that you guys can be spared from moral lecture.

Kuch Rang Inconsistency Ke Aise Bhi!!!

Elena drags Golu holding his ears to Mamaji's room where he is playing board game with Soha.

Golu says: I said sorry, naa.

Elena says: Shut up.

Mamaji: Let it be, Elena beta. He is a child. He won't do it again.

Elena says: Papa, you don't know. He has copied the answer to his homework from someone else. He copied everything.

Mamaji says: Copying someone's work is very bad.

Elena asks Soha: Papa, it won't affect him at all. Soha, did you do your homework?

Soha looks at Golu and lies: Yes, Masi. I did my homework.

Elena says: Very good. Did you see Golu? Soha does her own homework. Okay, Soha. Show Golu your copy so that he can learn from it.

Soha: No, I can't show my copy to Golu.

Elena: Why sweetheart? You always top in every subject. You won't show your copy to your brother?

Soha is adament: No Masi, I can't show my copy to Golu.

Mamaji laughs: She won't listen to anyone.

Elena gives up: Okay. You play with papa, okay?

Golu asks: Mamma, can I play with Soha?

Elena: Absolutely not. No study means no playing. Come on.

Elena takes Golu out when she notices a paper peeking out of Soha's school bag.

It's her test result which she has failed.

Elena is shocked.

Me: In my school, if a very bright student suddenly start to perform badly, our teachers used to call that student's parents to ask what is the reason for their poor performance.

Also, we needed our test results to be signed by our parents and bring it back.

How come Soha's principal called Sonakshi and Bhaiya to lecture on a "mother's duty" which is somehow more important than a father's duty, but didn't mention her poor performance. For that matter her teacher didn't even bother to call Sonakshi and Bhaiya when the same teacher of same school had called Sonakshi to ask about Soha's father when she was not living with Bhaiya?

What kind of school is this?

Elena gives the paper to Mamaji. Soha gets scared.

Mamaji asks: What is this? Such low marks? How did she fail?

Elena asks: Soha, what is this?

Soha says in a very rude tone: Masi, please.

Elena asks: Did you tell about this to your Mamma?

Soha says arrogantly: If I need to tell her, I will.

Mamaji says: Soha beta, whether you get good or bad marks, you shouldn't hide it from your Mamma Papa.

Soha runs away.

Me: Seriously I don't get people of this house. They behave such apologetically to the people who are wrong and blast the people who are right.

I mean Soha has failed and on top of that she is talking in such a snarky and arrogant tone, why is Elena and Mamaji talking as if Queen of England has refused her tea?

If I had spoken like this to any member of my family, and that includes our maids and cooks, my mother would have grounded me even when I was an adult. And she is just a kid. Why are they so scared of her?

Bhaiya and Sonakshi are in the car where Sonakshi is shivering.

Bhaiya says: I am going to start the heater.

He switches on the heater.

Bhaiya asks: How did we used to get wet so much before? We didn't used to feel cold then.

Sonakshi asks: Are we getting old?

Bhaiya asks: I don't know about you. But I am definitely not getting old.

Sonakshi: You are older than me, Dev.

Bhaiya: You are feeling colder than me.

Sonakshi says: Whatever.

Bhaiya says: Okay, my phone is right there in the dashboard. Please give it to me.

Sonakshi opens the dashboard and it's a rose.

She is pleasantly surprised: You got it for me?

Bhaiya: No, I don't know how it got there. Could you please look for my phone? May be it's on the floor.

Sonakshi bends and picks up another rose: So this is also not for me.

Bhaiya says: No. I didn't put it. May be driver did. But the phone is more important right now. Come on, check the backseat.

Sonakshi turns back and sees a bouquet of flowers. She brings them in the front and asks: And what is this?

Bhaiya: I don't know. What is this? I don't know.

Sonakshi says: Stop acting so innocent, okay?

Bhaiya: But I...

Sonakshi shushes him: Shhh... Thank you for making my day special.

Bhaiya says: It was also special for me. You made so much planning, planned this date. So I also had some responsibilities naa?

Sonakshi: So special Dev Dixit touch, huh?

Bhaiya: No. I started a new business of flowers. Brand new.

Sonakshi laughs.

Me: One second. Planned a date means what? I thought it was an impromptu date where Bhaiya showed up (I still don't know how he found out where is Sonakshi) and Sonakshi asked him out on a date. Then they danced and then they sat on the car.

Where is the planning in that? They are yet to reach anywhere to make it an actual date.

Yes, the rain dance was there. But the rain couldn't possibly be planned by Sonakshi. Then where is the planning portion?

Sorry, I'd have enjoyed the romance if anything made sense. But nothing is making sense to me right now.

May be the happiness of being away in vacation has fried up my brain cells. If you guys figure them out, please write in the comment section below.

Ishwari is working in the garden. She calls Elena. Elena comes there.

Ishwari shows her first Power Point presentation which is her family picture.

Me: Her boss asked her to do a presentation on her family picture? It seems there are lots of perks to work for daughter's boyfriend.

Elena is impressed. She says it's beautiful.

Ishwari says: I have named it "My Family" and have our pictures here. I have also wrote about each of the family member and my relationship with them. Look here, this is Soha.

Elena's smile vanishes.

Ishwari says: Really, she is the smartest in the family.

Elena looks sad.

Ishwari asks: What happened? Isn't the picture good?

Elena says: Nothing, Buaji. You love Soha very much, naa?

Ishwari says: A lot.

Elena says: So I was just thinking that.

Ishwari says: What?

Elena tells her that Soha failed in Maths.

Ishwari is shocked: Failed? My Soha? She always comes first.

Elena says: That's just it, Buaji. That's why it was also shocking for me. And she didn't say anything to Sona and Dev bhai.

Ishwari says: She must have got scared. She failed the first time. No worries, no worries. She will come first next time. Even my Riya once failed in fourth standard.

Me: Lol... It's good thing Soha wasn't born in my family. In my family, failing in studies (any subject, in any test) was a matter of family round table meeting, critical problem solving and immediate execution of study charts, aids and tutors.

Elena says: I don't know Buaji. If Golu had failed, I won't have been so shocked. But Soha failed? I am not getting this. In fact, she studies on her own. But such a drastic change? From topper to fail? Is it that Sona and Dev bhai got too busy? Soha never said a lie before then what happened that she hid this truth?

Ishwari thinks back when Soha lied about being late from school.

Ishwari asks: Elena, do you think that Dev and Sona are paying less attention to Suhana?

Elena says: No, Buaji. They take care of her. But I think they will have to pay a little more attention to her.

Ishwari thinks.

Me: God, what a mess. Just because Sonakshi re-acquired a problem child, her non-problem child is suffering. Take a suggestion, Sonakshi. Don't have another kid.

You are not being able to pay attention to one kid because your problem child occupies all your free (and working) times. How will you manage another?

Raise one right, that's more than enough.

Bhaiya and Sonakshi are on a restaurant having candle light dinner.

Me: It's not romantic when the wattage of regular lights makes candle light redundant. But at least they are on a date and not hanging over each other's head.

Beggars can't be choosers.

Bhaiya says: This is just perfect. I wish my whole life is spent like this. Holding your hands, looking into your eyes. I love you.

Sonakshi smiles and says: I love you more.

Bhaiya: Really? Shall we make a bet?

Sonakshi says: I would have. But you keep changing the rules of the game. Cheater.

Bhaiya: Really? I am cheater?

Sonakshi: What else? Today in my date, you gave me flowers.

Bhaiya: What can I do? My wife doesn't give me flowers.

Sonakshi: Haw...

Bhaiya smiles.

The waiter comes and asks what they want for dessert.

Bhaiya: We will have what ma'am wants to have. Because today's theme is whatever ma'am wants.

Sonakshi says: Today we will order dessert of your choice, not mine. You bring Jalebi and Rabdi. And please fry the jalebi crisp, but don't burn. And also make sure that the Rabdi is warm with less sugar.

The waiter goes to get the dessert and comes back super fast.

Me: Methinks they went to space for date. Nowhere else customized Jalebi and Rabdi is made in the blink of an eye. You need time warp to make this possible.

Sonakshi: Test it.

Bhaiya: This dessert is going to look less sweet in front of you.

But he tastes and it's apparently horrid. He makes faces and wipes his mouth.

Sonakshi asks: What happened?

Bhaiya: What have they made? These people have ruined dessert. This is not Rabdi and Jalebi. This is raw pasta and cream.

Sonakshi smiles.

Bhaiya asks: What happened? You are laughing?

Sonakshi says: No, I mean they didn't ruin the dish, I did. Dev, I put so much condition (modified the dish) that what was supposed to come, didn't come. I mean that I also want you to look into my eyes and love me just as much. Your love is necessary for me Dev. But there should not be conditions in love. Otherwise, the recipe of love gets spoiled. Love is there to make two people strong, to make them unbreakable, not weak.

Bhaiya thinks.

Me: Well said. This is what I wanted you to do when Bhaiya first started to lose his sanity. I expected you to sit down, talk to him and not allow him to run away or push the issue under the carpet.

At least even after trite dialogues and untimely rain dance, at least you finally got to the point.

Didn't I say to you that Bhaiya only gets straight talk with live demonstration?

A girl of about Soha's age comes to the table. Bhaiya and Sonakshi look at her.

Sona asks: Hi.

The girl says: Hi.

Sona: Did you get lost?

The girl says: No, my Mummy and Papa are sitting over there.

She turns to Bhaiya: I want to tell you something.

Bhaiya says: Really?

She says: Yes.

Bhaiya gives her a flower and says: If you take this flower from me, you can tell me anything you want.

She says: Thank you. I came to tell you that I really liked your smile and you smile just like a hero.

Sona and Bhaiya smile.

Me: If you wanna know my expression then please combine both the cringing Zafar and "What the eff" Ginnie expression from the picture below...

Bhaiya says: And you are very cute.

She says: Thank you.

Then she goes away.

Me: Wow, CVs. Your Bhaiya Puran is truly amazing.

Let's see here.

First, you want us to believe that in the city of Delhi, there exists a family with a little girl who never warned their child about talking or approaching a stranger.

Secondly, you want us to believe that Bhaiya is such a chick magnet that even a kid who is Soha's age, got up from the table, walked to their table just to say that his smile is so good that she had to physically walk over to a stranger to inform him that he looks like a hero.

Then you expect us to believe that her parents are perfectly fine for her to walk over to a stranger and compliment him.

I mean the parents must be thinking, "Hamari beti ka janam safal ho gaya. Har aurat ka bas ek hi kaam, Prabhu Dev ke charno mein gungan. Yeh utna hi jaroori hain jitna <insert your favourite pilgrimage site> ke dar pe mathha tekna."

(Our daughter got nirvana. Every woman only had one aim in life, it is to sing Bhaiya's praises. It's as important as visiting <insert your favourite pilgrimage site> once in your life)

I know many little girls of all ages from different countries and nationalities. They won't even approach a movie star (specially in their age) without their parents. And that's just in Canada. I have very much doubt that any girl in India will ditch her parents to praise any strange men even if he is George Clooney combined with Hrithik Roshan handsome. They might look but they won't approach a strange man.

Seriously?

Bhaiya and Sonakshi both say together: I miss Soha.

They smile.

Sonakshi says: Let's go home.

Bhaiya says: Yes, let's take her out for ice cream. It's been a while.

Sonakshi agrees.

They decide to leave.

Bhaiya asks for bill.

Vicky comes there with the bill. He says: Sir, bill. I hope you liked the food.

Bhaiya gets angry and leave.

Sonakshi calls him. But he doesn't stop.

Sonakshi says: Vicky...

Vicky says: No problem ma'am. You please fill out this feedback form. I am new here. If you give me good review, then it will be good for me.

Sonakshi sits down to write review.

Me: First of all, Bhaiya stormed out in a hurry. But who will pay for the food? His uncle?

Secondly, what feedback? Vicky didn't serve the food, didn't give any service. Even if Sonakshi gives the review, it will be for the waiter's service, not for Vicky.

This is making me suspicious. I mean first he is no where around, and now he is everywhere from Golu/Soha's school to the restaurant. How come?

And why didn't the waiter who served bring the bill? Usually the same people who serves bring the bill and they get the tips and review.

Vicky suddenly says: Bhabhi...

Sonakshi looks up.

Vicky says: I know you are very surprised to see me here. But this is as much my qualification is worth. That's why I am doing this job.

Sonakshi: But Vicky, why don't you do some other job?

Vicky: I tried a lot. But nothing happened. Now I understand why you asked me to be an intern in the office. Had I done it, I'd have learned something. I am not ashamed to do this work. May be, this is my fate. You please write your email id here.

Sonakshi fills the form and hands over the form.

She is about to leave when she turns back and sees Vicky is asking waiter to clear the table and gives him a hand.

She feels sad and leaves.

Me: No, really. I don't get it. What's wrong in being a restaurant manager? It's an honest work. Lots of people do it. In fact, he is lucky that he got a manager's job. Otherwise, he isn't even worthy of being a waiter.

Did anyone expect Vicky to get a cushy job provided by family connection? Specially with his work history?

At least he is not doing anything criminal.

If I were Sonakshi, I'd have been happy.

And Vicky is behaving as if he has been assigned a janitor's job with pitiful, poor me expression. Not that there's anything wrong in that job either. An honest job is honest job. Anything is better than mooching off from someone.

At home, Soha comes to Bhaiya: Papa, I am ready. I am so excited that we are going to get ice cream.

Bhaiya caresses her: I am sorry.

Soha: Why sorry?

Bhaiya: Because we didn't go for ice cream for so many days. But I promise, next time we won't wait for so long. Look, there's your Mummy.

Sona comes down.

Soha comes running: Mamma, Papa said that we will go our for ice cream.

Sona says: Really? Are you happy?

Soha says: Very much.

Sona says: Perfect.

Soha says: Just perfect.

Golu comes there whining: Mamma, please.

Elena says: Do you want to get scolded? No means no.

Golu asks Bhaiya straight: BigCha, I also want to have ice cream.

Me: Kids know family hierarchy and who trumps whose's commands. See how he went to the one who calls the shots here?

Elena puts her foot down: No means no, Golu.

Soha also directly goes to the decision maker totally ignoring his mother: Papa, can we also bring Golu with us for ice cream?

Bhaiya says: Yes, why not? Elena, let her come. We will come back soon.

Elena says: Dev bhai, he gets whatever he wants. That's why his results are so bad.

Bhaiya asks: What happened? Golu, what did you do?

Elena: He again failed in Maths.

Bhaiya: Golu, you failed again? At least go through one year without failing in anything. You will also get me scolded.

Sona says: Golu, don't bother your Mamma like that.

Then she asks Soha: Soha, you also had exam naa? What marks did you get?

Soha looks at Elena and says: I also failed in exam.

Sonakshi and Bhaiya are shocked.

Bhaiya says: Suhana, you always come first naa? How did you fail?

Sonakshi says: One second, Dev. Soha, why did you fail? Did you have a tummy ache?

Soha says: No, Mamma. I had no tummy ache.

Sonakshi: Then?

Soha: Mamma, let's please now go out and have ice cream.

Sonakshi: We will go out later. First give me answers.

Soha: Mamma, please. I will tell you later. Let's just go out first naa.

Bhaiya: Suhana, your marks should not be less like this. If this happens again, then no ice cream.

Sonakshi says: No ice cream? Everything will stop for her if she fails again. When we come back, I want to see every answer sheet and workbooks. You got it?

Soha: No.

Sonakshi: What no?

Soha: I don't want to come for ice cream with you. Not today, not ever. You ruined my entire mood.

Bhaiya is shocked: Soha?

Soha says: I don't want to go anywhere with you. Golu, let's go. We will eat ice cream tomorrow on the way back from school.

Soha leaves and Golu follows saying: You ruined my sister's mood.

Sonakshi and Bhaiya are shocked. They look at each other.

Me: What these two needs is being grounded. I don't understand after such insolent attitude they were allowed to stomp off threatening their parents that they will have ice cream on the way back. I'd have lost all my toys, tv priviledge and access to any fun activity for a month over that insolence. What kind of indulgent family is this? No wonder Golu got away with failing every year for so long.

Bhaiya is standing in the living room worried. Ishwari comes there.

She asks: Where is Sonakshi?

Bhaiya says: She is making Suhana sleep.

Ishwari asks: Did you feel bad hearing what Suhana said to you?

Bhaiya: I am not feeling bad for myself. I am worried about Suhana.

Ishwari says: People say every child has a personality (Bhaiya corrects her pronunciation) of their own. We don't realise that children observe us very closely. Whatever happened between you two in the last few days, may be that's what is affecting Suhana. She needs you two and your time. Your coming together, compromising won't be as difficult as much it is for Suhana.

Bhaiya nods: I am understanding what you are trying to say.

Ishwari: Then do something to fix this. Don't let whatever is going on between you two affect your daughter.

Bhaiya agrees: Yes, Maa. You are right. Whatever we have promised Suhana, we will do this. Even if I have to change myself, I will do it for Suhana. Thank you, Maa.

Ishwari smiles.

Me: Good advice. It's about time Bhaiya realised that he is not a teenager who can run away with his girlfriend. He has other responsibilities.

Isn't it strange that the man who could not change for anyone, now is willing to change for his daughter? That's parental love.

P.S. Did Soha's shouting and stomping off when she didn't get her way reminded you off a certain someone?

May be someone very closely related to her?

Ishwari is right. Children observe their parents very closely and usually mimics the one they admire the most.

She used to mimic Sona and tried to be like her before Bhaiya re-defined the definition of "cool" to her. Now she mimics her dad.

PRECAP: Vicky is playing with Soha and Golu.

He says: Caught you.

Soha falls down. But she is smiling.

Then Bhaiya is shouting at Vicky to stay away from his daughter. Sonakshi is trying to pull him back.

He slaps Vicky.

Later, Bhaiya is in his home.

Radha asks Bhaiya: You raised your hands on my Vicky. Did you do a good thing?

Bhaiya stands up and says: Yes. Today I did it and I will do the same in future.

Ishwari is shocked.

Me: Bhaiya has problem with controlling his anger and on top of that he reacts before hearing the whole information.

I will react tomorrow on Gauri's post after seeing the episode when I get to Kelowna.

NO RULES!!! YAY!!!

    1. I honestly don't know who writes them. But frankly, they make Sonakshi sound like an utter idiot. That's for sure.

  2. Wht do I say...I liked Sharica dancing in the rain.
Found Soha behaving badly with Elina...kids' such behavior shudnt tolerated or taken lightly.
Finally good to see Dev-Sona understanding they need to spend more time with Soha.
One thing I didnt understand how cud Soha behave like that with Sonakshi?
No logic...so just let me not think more.

    I missed the Boses tonight.

    1. Exactly. There was just no logic in the story thanks to shoddy editing job and ridiculous dialogues.

I would have enjoyed the rain dancing if they had shown the taking part first and the dancing part later. I felt that the episode was edited very badly. In fact I got the feeling as if I missed some scenes in between.

Soha's behaviour was Bhaiya standard rude behaviour which stands to reason since she considers her father to be her ideal. Golu was spoiled but he was never so rude as Soha. I was literally gritting my teeth and honestly felt that if she was my child, she will be grounded by now. I can tolerate mischievous kids, but can't tolerant insolent kids. Golu is the former, Soha is the later.

How could Soha behave like that with Sonakshi you ask? Well, Sonakshi had been bending over backwards to do whatever her little darling demands since Bhaiya came on her life. So she got her due for not behaving like a parent. Sorry. A parent is not a child's friend. Their first responsibility is parenting. When they grow up, by all means, be their friends. But when they are going, they need to know rules and consequences for breaking them. In short, they need to know their boundary.

Soha had been very much spoiled ever since she had moved in Dixit house and also been neglected at the same time. So she made her own rules and her own boundary which is unlimited.

Bhaiya needed this to grow up. He needs to know that he can't go off in a tangent being a father.

There were so many weird things happening that I honestly could not figure out what to write.

    3. Tia, the last spoiler says Soha blackmails Dev to bring back Vicky.
Vicky comes back in thnx to it.
Supposedly Dev will kidnap(forcefully take him), against Elina-Vicky's knowledge to IN.
Which means Elina finally leaves IN with Golu after Dev hits him.

I'm just so irritated with the kind of parent Dev is. Sonakshi,is no better now, but she atleast has a good track record.

Why is it tht Golu' failures r so nicely accepted? Bcoz Dev Dixit taught him to fail from Day One. Had I been Elina, I wud hav given Dev a piece of my mind. What nonsense.

Soha behaves as if she is the queen. They need to be strict as parents.

    4. Exactly, Gauri. In my opinion, Bhaiya is not a good guardian period. He didn't teach a single good thing to Golu. Instead he just kept on aiding and abetting on his mistakes and kept hiding them. Today Golu only knows the wrong way because that's what he was taught.

If today Bhaiya tries to tell him to not tell a lie or teach Soha not to lie, the first question Golu can ask is if lying is wrong, then why did you let me lie for so long or even lied to my teachers on my behalf? What will Bhaiya answer then? Will he be able to say that he taught everything wrong to Golu since he was a baby?

Coming to Sonakshi, she was an excellent parent in my opinion. Soha was polite, respectful, understanding, sensitive and independent little girl. She knew the difference from right and wrong and she was determined to mimic her mother as she grew up.

But unfortunately, when Bhaiya is in Sonakshi's life, she is too busy handling her problem child to be able to be anything else. You know how people sometimes neglect the good child for the problem child? Exactly like that. So obviously she got busy with Bhaiya, the problem child and completely neglected her real child - the one who actually needed a parent.

If I were Elina, Bhaiya won't get exclusive access to my son. I am the parent, not him. But then how can she give him any piece of her mind? The only reason she is paying attention to Golu now is because Vicky isn't here. Because just like Sonakshi, when Vicky is around, she doesn't pay attention to anyone else and that includes Golu. She mentions Gou from time to time, but doesn't do anything else. After all she takes after her sister naa.

  3. While watching that kid complimenting scene I was like what the he'll. Is shaheer so insecure of his looks that he has to be constantly appraised of it. Do they think they have hrithik Roshan on their cast, who have to be constantly marketed. I mean their are lot of guys much more good looking on telly land. It's only krpkab which constantly blares the horn.

    1. I know, right? They will seriously do anything to hype up Ishwari and Bhaiya. Didn't I say that they are CV's favourite characters? Their wrong deeds are always forgiven easily and glorified. And now they are using illogical scenes to point out the USP of the show as per Twitter crowd - Bhaiya's looks.

    2. I mean I like shaheer as a human being. He's one of the few celebs who seems to be sorted and good hearted. Most of them I find extremely pompous and desperate for attention. But I never found him incredibly good looking even in my teenage days. It baffles me this kind of attention
But anyways to each to his own

    3. Even if he is the most handsome man in the world, even then a little girl won't approach a stranger to give him a compliment ditching her parents. That's the most illogical thing ever.

  4. Cause show running on leads hotness these days. Nothing else. Do you see any episode analysis these days other than "they looked good together"? I don't.

Seriously what a continuation, bow down to the presence of epicnessπŸ˜—πŸ˜—πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘ from angry with dev to planning date, wah wah. Hats off to Tia to sit through this crap

Soha is a spoilt kid now. And now thanks to dev never growing up she gonna get what she wants once again.

    1. Exactly. Thanks hun. It's all for you guys. Trust me. I honestly couldn't produce much coherent thoughts after so many inconsistencies. So I beg pardon if I have sounded like I was rambling.

I just couldn't connect last scene from yesterday with first scene from today. It made no sense whatsoever.

And it only became more and more ridiculous as time went on.

Don't even make me start on Soha. She needs to get her attitude checked. I can tolerate mischievous and naughty children like Golu, but not insolent kids like Soha.
