Tia's Thread - Right Questions!!!

Hello dearies,

As you all know I was going to be on vacation from Aug 23rd onward and Gauri was going to post during my absence.

However, since the show is ending on Aug 25th, Gauri will be updating the blog on Thursday, Aug 24th and Friday, Aug 25th, 2017. 

If you want to continue any discussion, I will open a page called "KRPKAB Reloaded" where you can share, admire, appreciate, criticise or just generally talk about any scene/episode/characters you want to talk about.

What will I do in this blog once the show ends you ask?

Well, since I will be travelling, I will write my travel diaries with pictures from my trip. If you guys are still interested, feel free to check them out.

As for my co-writers, feel free to write anything you feel like writing or sharing. If you want to talk about any new show, go ahead.

HR Rules 101: The key to get the right and complete information is to ask the right and detailed questions.


EPISODE: The episode starts with Sonakshi looking at Bhaiya from the window.

Bhaiya sees her.

He makes sign to come up.

Sonakshi also signs for him to not come up. Ishwari is sleeping.

Then she signs: I love you.

Bhaiya signs back: I love you.

Sonakshi signs: Everything will be all right. We have to be strong. God will take care of us and of the baby too.

Bhaiya signs back: I don't want anything else. You, me and Suhaana are enough.

Sonakshi signs: When the baby comes, our family will be better and everyone will be happy.

Me: Seriously? Sonakshi is still using baby to make family happy? 

Tell me, Sonakshi. If tomorrow you find out that your baby will have Down Syndrome or Autism and your family is not happy for the baby anymore, what will you do? 

Will you suddenly decide you don't want the baby after all and abort him/her?

And here I was thinking that after becoming a mother, she will understand that a child is not a currency to buy family's happiness/approval. But I was wrong.



Bhaiya signs: I understand Sonakshi. But it's risky for you. Why isn't Maa understanding this?

Sonakshi signs: Maa doesn't know anything about the complications.

Me: And why not? Because she didn't ask what was the complications and you also didn't tell her what was the complications. That's why.

Lekin chalo. Pehle yeh dono sirf akal se dumb the, ab zuban se bhi poori tarah se dumb. Ishwari Maata ka aashirwad hain.

(There you go. First they just had dumb brains, now their voice is also totally dumb with the blessings of Ishwari Maata)


Bhaiya signals: Shall I come upstairs?

Sonakshi makes sign: No no. Ishwari will kill us.

Just then Ishwari comes there and sees Sonakshi and Bhaiya playing dumb charade. She makes faces.

Sonakshi makes excuses: Maa, actually I couldn't sleep. So...

Ishwari smiles at her and closes the curtain shutting Bhaiya out.

Me: Since Ishwari is not listening to Bhaiya and being outright rude to him and shutting him out from his wife and child, shouldn't Sonakshi explain why he is worried? I mean what kind of wife let's her mother-in-law treat her husband like the public enemy and doesn't say anything?

Oh wait, a wife like Asha. That's who.


Next morning Bhaiya got two male doctors. 

Radha asks the doctor if he'd like some more tea.

Then the lady doctor brings Sonakshi.

Bhaiya says: I brought three of you to work as a team. We want to know the conditions, risks and our options.

Me: See? That's the right question. Good going, Bhaiya. Now you will get the right answer.


Sonakshi asks: Doctor, our main concern is baby. What do you think? Is the baby fine? Will the baby be healthy and safe in this situation?

The lady doctor says: Look, Doctor Bose. For now, the fetus is looking normal. I am not seeing any abnormality.

Ishwari becomes happy: That's good. I hope everything goes well. In fact, I don't want you to call the child fetus. We will call the baby by name.

Radha asks: Jiji, have you thought of a name already?

Ishwari: Shubh? Shubh (Lucky) is good.

The lady says: But what if it's a girl child?

Ishwari: Riddhi? 


Me: Seriously? Are you kidding me? I mean Bhaiya not only gets the news of his baby with the family, he doesn't even get to name his baby? 

Why does Ishwari even needs Bhaiya other than for his stud service?

And will everyone call the baby by two names until he/she is born and sex can be found out? This woman is ridiculous.


The lady doctor says: Okay. For now, Shubh is fine for now. Everything is normal. But as I said, the first three months are very crucial. We have to monitar regularly.

Bhaiya: Doctor, can't you do anything else?

The lady doctor says: There are medicines which can help up to an extent. I can prescribe them.

Sonakshi: Doctor, don't worry about me. I can do anything for my child.

Me: Sure you can. Because the current child is now apple of Ishwari's eyes. But what can you do for your existing child, Sonakshi? Do you think she will thank you if she gains a brother or sister only to loose a mother?

And what can you do for your husband? Do you think he will appreciate losing a wife to gain a child?

But sorry, I forgot. His feelings doesn't count in your books. He was there only to provide the sperm.


Bhaiya: Sonakshi...

Sonakshi: Dev, as long as the baby is okay, I am okay too.

Ishwari smiles.

Bhaiya asks the other doctor: You advice us. It's very important for us. 

The other doctor says: According to me, the fetus...

Sonakshi interrupts him: Doctor, please call the baby by his name. 

Me: Which one? The boy name or the girl name? By the way, in your quest to impress Ishwari, did you ask Bhaiya if he is happy with the names? Or again, he gets no say here?


The other doctor says: I am sorry, Mr. Dixit. The cases I have seen so far, according to them, I don't think the fetus... I mean Shubh... can remain normal for very long. At this stage, everything is fine. But later...

Bhaiya: Doctor, what are you saying? This is my child. How could you say that he won't be fine for very long?

Radha stops him: Dev beta, easy. You called them for their opinion, naa? So take it easy.

Me: Wait a minute. Did you want them to lie to you? Then why call experts? Call those fake monks to predict your kid's health? If you don't want to hear the answer, why ask questions? Idiot Bhaiya is back.

Never thought I'd see the day when Radha is appearing as more intelligent than Bhaiya.


Ishwari whispers to Sonakshi: Think Shubh...

Then she turns to the third doctor: What do you have to say?

The other doctor says: What I think is that we are only talking about the child when in these kind of situation, even the mother could also be at risk.

Ishwari is shocked: What? Sonakshi is at risk?

She looks at Sonakshi shocked.

Bhaiya tells the doctor to go.

The doctors are shocked.

Sonakshi says: Dev, calm down.

Bhaiya says: I said please leave.

The male doctors leave.

The lady doctor says: Being a husband and father, I can understand your situation. But like I said, there are complications for both of them. But we can't live upset and in fear like this. Then the situation will get worse. But if the first weeks pass without incident, then the chances of success are high. So I will just advice to keep the atmosphere of home happy. The happier and stress free Sonakshi is, the better it is for her. So let's pray and hope for the best.

Bhaiya: Nothing will happen to my child and Sonakshi, doctor. I won't let anything happen to them.

The lady doctor leaves.

Me: I just don't get Bhaiya's bipolar behaviour. Yesterday, his wife's health was so important for her that he was willing to go all the way to Bose house for them to talk to Ishwari. I'd have thought after doctors confirming the risk, he will continue his campaign to protect Sonakshi even harder and with more determination. But suddenly today he is fine with all the risks and have no problem with Sonakshi having the baby.

I don't know if he was bi-polar or he was acting to be concerned for Sonakshi for the sake of appearance.



Ishwari walks away.

Sonakshi follows her to the kitchen and says: Maa, I am sorry I didn't tell you the whole truth. It's not your fault. I hid the whole truth from you. 

Ishwari: I am not angry at you for hiding this truth from me. I am angry at myself that I was so wrong about you. When I heard Dev, I thought that you two don't want to increase your responsibility in life, that's why you are thinking like this. But you... You didn't even think about yourself. And Dev, he must be thinking that his mother doesn't care about her daughter-in-law.

Sonakshi: But Maa, you didn't know, then how could it be your fault.

Ishwari: But now I know. I am proud of you. You are so selfless. A lot of my blessings for you. 

Sonakshi: Maa, if you will get so emotional, then your Shubh will feel bad, no? You say that kids understand everything.

Ishwari: I won't, then. Or Shubh will say his grandma is so bad.

They hug.

Ishwari tells Sonakshi to go to Bhaiya: Go to Dev. He must be in such a dilemma and in so much worry. Go to him.

Sonakshi leaves.


Me: Ah... This was not quite what I thought Ishwari would do. I thought she'll tell Sonakshi that she'd rather have her than a grand child. So Bhaiya and Sonakshi should take the decision best for her health.

Instead she blurted out platitudes and praised Sonakshi for taking the risk and didn't say anything about not continuing with the risky pregnancy.

I mean, Sonakshi might not change her mind even if Ishwari did say anything. But she could have at least redeemed herself from her behaviour from the past. 

But nope. Again, grandchild takes precedence over daughter-in-law.



Bhaiya is pacing in the living room.

Sonakshi comes there.

Suddenly she feels dizzy.

Bhaiya holds her.

Sonakshi says: Dev, I am sorry that...

Bhaiya: It's okay. May be, this is a sign.

Sonakshi: For what?

Bhaiya: That I have to take a lot of care of my wife and my unborn baby. Don't worry. I won't let you go away even for a second from my eyes. I won't let you go far from me. I will take care of you every moment.

Sonakshi smiles.

Bhaiya picks up Sonakshi and takes her... 

Me: Somewhere private if I have to guess.


Ishwari is in the kitchen. Radha comes there and says: Jiji, are you okay? You don't worry at all. God will fix everything. We will just have happiness in our home.

Ishwari becomes happy: This is such a happy news, naa? We will have our grandson here. We didn't see Suhaana take her first step here. But our grandson will grow up in front of our eyes.

Radha laughs: Yes, Jiji. And this is very exciting. But how do you know that it would be a boy? You were also taking the name Shubh in front of the doctors. How?

Ishwari laughs: It's not that I only want a grandson. Whether grandson or granddaughter, we will raise him/her with a lot of love. But yes, my heart says that we have Soha as Goddess Lakhshmi (Hindu Goddess of Wealth), now Dev gets a little Ganesh (Hindu God of Prosperity) to complete his family, then that would be great.

Radha laughs: Yes. Oh, I forgot to tell you, Vicky has shifted to his new penthouse.

Ishwari is impressed: Really? Vicky bought a new house?

Radha brags: Yes, after all, his office is so grand, so his house must be grand too. Now my Vicky has also become a businessman. Now he doesn't work for anybody.

Ishwari congratulates her and says: Now everything will be fine.


Me: Radha, Vicky doesn't work period. He can only waste other's hard-earned money.

He hasn't even started earning, yet first thing he does with investor's money is to buy a penthouse. Can't wait for him to come to the street. But as long as Bhaiya keeps supplying money, why would he?


Golu says to Soha on phone: Don't complaint. You always stay so busy. Have you ever thought to come and play with Golu?

Soha says: Golu, that's not it. I miss you too. But I get so much homework that I don't get time.

Golu: You are talking like an old girl.

Soha: You are talking like an old uncle. Okay, I will chat with you later. I have to do homework. Bye.

She hangs up the phone.

Golu gets pissed.

He goes to Vicky who is sitting with Radha.

Radha says: Golu, drink the milk. I made chocolate milk for you.

Golu says: I don't want chocolate milk. I want something from Papa.

Vicky asks: What do you want King Golu? I got you play station yesterday.

Golu: But what I want now is very special. We have to wait a long time for it.

Vicky: How long do you have to wait? You tell me what you want.

Golu: I want a cute sister. But it takes nine months, naa? I don't have anyone to play with. Please Papa, please.

Radha is super happy.

Vicky is trapped. 

Radha says: Golu is right. Now I just get a cute granddaughter so your family is complete.

Me: Honestly this mother and son duo is amazing. They each say that they want to become their own person, yet all they do is copy Bhaiya and Ishwari.

Bhaiya is rich businessman, so Vicky wants to be one too whether he has any qualification or not.

Ishwari thinks a boy and girl makes a family complete, so Radha wants it too whether her son or daughter-in-law wants more kids or not.



Vicky says: You should shut him up. Instead you are encouraging him. What are you doing?

Radha: Think with a calm mind. What else do you want? You have such a big business and took a big house, now my Golu is also a big boy, now if you only have one daughter, your family will be complete. With time, complications increase.

Vicky still refuses: Stop bothering me with the same topic.

Radha: Look my red, Golu is right. Either you agree easily or I will have to do again what I did for Golu.

Vicky remembers how Radha screwed up their birth control.

Golu asks: Dadi, what did you do in my time?

Vicky says: She did nothing Golu. You go do your homework and don't make faces.

He sends Golu away.

Then he tells Radha: You say whatever comes to your mind in front of Golu.

Radha smiles unrepentant.

Me: What a criminal family. Radha is openly threatening to screw up contraceptive pills and that also so that she can brag about a granddaughter and copy Ishwari. Good Lord. 

Elena should opt for birth control injections. Radha and Vicky should not be allowed to populate the Earth.


Sonakshi wakes up at night and sees Bhaiya is missing. But there are stacks of books on the bed. 

She picks up one of the books and they are all pregnancy related books.

She gets up calling for Bhaiya.

Bhaiya comes running: Sonakshi, be careful. Sit down. Don't get up so suddenly. 

Sonakshi laughs: Why are you doing this?

Bhaiya says: You are finding this funny? Am I reading all these books without any reason?

Sonakshi says: Don't worry. I know everything about pregnancy.

Bhaiya: Exactly. You know everything. You have previous experience. But I don't know anything. I should know everything too, no?

Sonakshi says: You keep calling me cute. Look at yourself. Don't worry. I will teach you everything.

Bhaiya: No, you won't teach me anything. If you teach me, then you will get credit for this as well. So I will learn myself. Okay?

Sonakshi squeezes his cheek: Tumi ekdom impossible. When little baby comes, I will have three babies. 

Bhaiya: Sonakshi...

Sonakshi says: This is not a competition to find out who knows more about pregnancy?

Bhaiya: Of course, it's a competition. I want to be world's most supportive husband and you will see how I win this award.

Sonakshi laughs.

Bhaiya: You are laughing?

Sonakshi: Okay, fine. You will get this award. Now keep away all these books. Because your pregnant wife needs you right now. And little baby and I want to sleep hugging you.

Bhaiya: Yes, I read it in a book. It will be comforting for you. I will go read the last chapter and come.

He runs.

Sonakshi calls him, then smiles and says: Mr. Obhodro.

Me: Sonakshi gives him so much hints, but Bhaiya doesn't get it. 

I was thinking that Bhaiya must have carried Sonakshi to his bedroom to make out earlier. But now I think, he must have taken her to bookshop to buy books on pregnancy. 

What a waste!!!


Saurabh is on the bed. Ronita is sleeping on his lap.

He is talking to Bhaiya on the phone: I told you everything I knew. There's still 9 months left. This is also my first experience for pregnancy. You are getting what I am saying?

Bhaiya: Yes, what you said was very useful information. But I want to ask you one more thing.

Ronita wakes up.

Saurabh: Yes, ask away.

Bhaiya: Actually, I wanted to know if you know anything about Abruption Placenta. 

Saurabh: Dev babu, you talk to Ronita. I am getting dizzy.

He gives the phone to Ronita.

Ronita asks: Yes Jiju. Tell me.

Bhaiya says: I wanted to ask Saurabh about Abruption Plancenta and Preeclempsia and wanted to know what to do in complications like them.

Ronita: Actually Jiju, even I heard about them for the first time.

Bhaiya: Really? Okay. I wrote down two-three more questions. See if you know them.

Ronita: Two-three more questions?

She looks at Saurabh worried. Saurabh takes the phone and disconnects it. 

Bhaiya goes hello hello?

Me: First of all, Bhaiya, it's not abruption placenta, it's Abruptio Placentae or Placental Abruption. 

Secondly, stop freaking out yourself and everyone else googling every complications related to pregnancy. Besides, if you have to ask, ask a doctor. Not a pregnant woman and her husband. 

Thirdly, the key to right answers are not only the right questions, but also to ask the right questions to the right person. 

Ab aap agar aate ke dukandaar se jahaz ka bhau puchenge, to sahi jawab thodi milega?

(Now if you ask a wheat flour seller the cost of building a ship, will you get the right answer?)

If you keep bothering them at late night, they will stop taking your call. You remember that Ronita is also pregnant and needs her rest. So why don't you follow Saurabh's example and let Sonakshi sleep on your lap instead of annoying people at night?



Ronita: What are you doing? What if he feels bad?

Saurabh: What is this? Who asks these many questions?

Ronita: Supportive husbands do.

Just then the landline rings.

Bhaiya is not getting his call picked up.

Me: Bhaiya, mujhe aisa kyun lag raha hain ki iss bachhe ke aate aate, aapke naam ki supari nikal jayegi?

(Why I have this feeling that by the time this baby is born, people would have hired hit men for you?

PRECAP: Sonakshi has gone for ultrasound. The doctor asks her to breathe in and out.

Bhaiya looks eager.

The machine beeps with the sound of heartbeat.

The doctor tells Bhaiya: That's the heartbeat of your child.

Bhaiya is very happy.

Sonakshi is also happy.

Suddenly the doctor becomes worried and also Bhaiya and Sonakshi look shocked. 

Me: Uh-oh... Spaghetti Os...
