Tia's Thread - What The Effff!!!

Hello dearies,

I just found out that Erica has confirmed the news of the show shutting down. Official last day is Aug 25th, 2017.

As you all know I was going to be on vacation from Aug 23rd onward and Gauri was going to post during my absence.

However, since the show is ending on Aug 25th, Gauri will be updating the blog on Thursday, Aug 24th and Friday, Aug 25th, 2017. If the show continues, then Gauri will post until I return on Sep 9, 2017.

If you want to continue any discussion, I will open a page called "KRPKAB Reloaded" where you can share, admire, appreciate, criticise or just generally talk about any scene/episode/characters you want to talk about.

What will I do in this blog once the show ends you ask?

Well, since I will be travelling, I will write my travel diaries with pictures from my trip. If you guys are still interested, feel free to check them out.

As for my co-writers, feel free to write anything you feel like writing or sharing. If you want to talk about any new show, go ahead. I am happy to get new recommendation with strong female leads (can't tolerate dumb women, sorry) and preferably non-douche bag male leads only waiting for female leads to fix them (can't tolerate douche bags either, not at all sorry).

Thanks for the huge support and for being an awesome group to have great conversation with. If not for you guys, I'd have quit the show long back. Honestly, I won't miss the show as much as I will miss you guys.

Thanks for everything...

Love,

T

Just in case you were in doubt, the title sums up my opinion about today's episode...

'Nuff said!!!

EPISODE: The episode starts with Ishwari asking Bhaiya if Sonakshi is hiding here.

Bhaiya says: Maa, Sonakshi had a lot of work, she had to get a lot of things. May be that's why she is not here yet.

Ishwari said okay. She leaves.

Bhaiya is worried.

Me: Again, how long does it take to text someone that you are dealing with an emergency and you will be there shortly? But nope. God forbid if you show consideration to your husband by informing the reason you are late for your daughter's party.

At Bose house, Sonakshi is checking the legal notice and Saurabh is being hyper: How can you be so careless? Do you know that they will take out arrest warrant in my name if this get even one day delayed. I can't handle all this right now. Do I handle Ronita or handle this?

Me: I can't believe how hyper he is getting because he got a legal notice through legitimate legal channel which can be disputed or taken care of as soon as venders are paid. I think his memory is falling short for him to forget that once goons had come in his door and threatened to beat him up. At that time, Bijoy had rescued him.

Strange no, how soon people forget their reality?

Sonakshi says: If someone gets legal notice like this, they will get upset. Why didn't anyone tell me?

Saurabh: Didn't tell you? Check your phone. How many calls, text messages, emails I sent you. You cancel your meetings.

Bijoy stops Saurabh and tells Sonakshi: Sona beta, how can you make such a big mistake? Such a huge amount of cheque bounced and you didn't even check? It's good that Saurabh read all the legal notice at night carefully or it would be a huge problem.

Sonakshi says: Dada, I am sorry. It's my mistake. But I am sending emails to everyone and also will call everyone personally. Tomorrow morning, I will handle everything by talking to our legal team. You don't worry.

Just then Asha gets Bhaiya's call.

Sonakshi tells Asha to tell Bhaiya that they are leaving now. She will call him when she is on the way.

Asha relays the message.

Bhaiya says: Sonakshi is there? Here everyone is waiting for her. When will she come here? And when will you come here?

Asha says: Yes, we are leaving now.

Bhaiya says: Okay.

Sonakshi says: I am sending emails. But please let's go.

Saurabh protests: But Sona...

Sonakshi says: Dada, please. Everyone is waiting. Let's go.

She sends everyone to get ready soon.

Asha takes Saurabh away.

Bijoy says: Sona beta, I didn't expect this from you. This shouldn't happen again.

Sona says: It won't happen again.

Bijoy says: Saurabh won't be able to handle.

Sonakshi says: Baba, I said naa that I will be careful. Now please get ready.

Bijoy agrees and leaves.

Me: Bijoy was always accused of only loving Sonakshi. But he loves both of his children even though he doesn't treat them similarly. He knows Saurabh's strengths and weaknesses. He also knows Sonakshi's strengths and weaknesses.

He knows that Saurabh can't handle anything and Sonakshi can. Often when we have a strong child and a weak child, we rely on the strong child to be there for the weak.

However, I found Saurabh's attitude surprising. Why? Because if he is not capable of handling business matters, then he has no right to use the money from the business to plan lavish lifestyle for his child.

I mean what will he do if in future, Sonakshi doesn't want to work anymore? She can't be his crutch for the rest of her life. If he makes his child used to wealth, then it will be hard keeping up with the same when he doesn't have the capability of maintaining that lifestyle.

My father-in-law is super rich. But my husband and I live within our means. We don't live life thinking that oh, we are going to inherit millions, so might as well live a lavish lifestyle. That's not our money and because we live within our means, if my in-laws decide to give everything away, we will still continue to live the way we do now.

When we have kids, they will also earn their own money and won't live a lavish lifestyle at Mummy Daddy or Grandma and Grandpa's expense.

That's how my husband and I were raised. We pull our weights. May be that's why I can't tolerate nor respect freeloaders.

At least Saurabh works some. But Vicky and Elena are just sack of useless burden on Earth.

In the party, Soha is looking around for her mother.

Bhaiya comes to Ishwari tensed.

Ishwari consoles her: Dev, no worries. She will come. She must be busy with something important, that's why she is late. She can forget you, but not Soha.

Bhaiya smiles.

Soha is still asking around for her mother: Have you seen my mother? She is very preety.

Bhaiya feels sad.

Soha tells Bhaiya: Papa, I can't see Mama anywhere.

Ishwari says: Look for her some more.

Just then Golu calls Soha: Soha...

Soha runs and hugs Golu: Golu.

Golu came with Elena who looks like as if she came to a funeral.

Radha is happy seeing Golu and Elena.

Golu wishes Soha and says that he will eat all the cakes and ice cream.

Ishwari says: Golu, I was thinking about you.

She tells Elena: It's good that you two came.

She sends Soha and Golu to play.

Soha and Golu run away.

Bhaiya says: Elena, I know you are supporting your husband. But there's still time, you can come home.

Me (Facepalm): Why does Bhaiya put his size 12 foot in his mouth every time he speaks? Had she wanted to come home, she would have already. Honestly, he is just asking for Elena's taunts. Keep your dignity, Bhaiya.

And Elena again, didn't even bother wishing Soha. She may not want to attend the party. But not even bothering to wish a child who never did anything bad with her? What kind of opportunistic jerk is this woman?

Elena: My decision is still the same. And besides I just came to drop Golu. This is not my place.

Bhaiya says: You are right. It was clear the day when you went away taking Golu with you.

Radha is making angry face behind Elena.

Soha comes running to Elena and asks: Mashi, won't Vicky Chachu come?

Elena says: Soha, I am so sorry. Vicky Chachu won't be able to come. But he has sent a lot of love for you. From both of us, wishing you a very happy birthday to you.

She kisses Soha.

Soha says thank you.

Me: Oh finally Soha said the magic word to get a wish out of Elena - Vicky. It seems, Elena only gives a damn about people who bothers to acknowledge her criminal husband. I hope to God, in the end of the show, Vicky is in jail, Elena is on the street without family and Golu is with Bhaiya and his family.

These two freeloaders don't deserve a loyal soul like Golu.

Elena is about to leave when Radha says: Elena, please stay. Don't go.

Elena says: Mummijy, please. I can't stay. Vicky is waiting for me.

She hugs Radha and leaves.

Soha sees her leaving and runs away.

Radha glares at Bhaiya. Bhaiya goes after Soha.

Bhaiya finds Soha sitting in a corner. He asks: Is birthday girl upset?

Soha says: Papa, you lied to me. Mamma isn't here. I looked everywhere. She is nowhere. Vicky chachu is also not here. I don't want to do such party. Everyone has to be in my party.

Me: Awww... Vicky Chachu isn't here and Soha is upset. The fact that her entire family whom she knew from her childhood like Bijoy, Asha, Saurabh, Jatin also aren't here, that's obviously not a big deal for her. Wow, talk about having Asha's genes in terms of family loyalty.

Bhaiya says: Soha...

Then he looks up and sees Sonakshi.

He says: You didn't look very well. Had you looked for her well, you'd have found your Mummy.

Soha says: But I looked everywhere. She isn't anywhere.

Bhaiya says: Did you ask Batman? May be, she is dressed up as Batman?

Soha: Mamma is dressed up as Batman?

Sonakshi hurriedly grabs a Batman mask hanging from the decoration and comes to Soha wearing it.

She says: I am Batman. No one will move from their place.

Soha says: Mamma...

Sona hugs her and says: There's my birthday girl...

Soha says: Mamma, I looked for you everywhere.

Sona says: And I was watching you all the time. Okay, come on. I got you a huge chocolate cake.

Soha: Chocolate cake?

Sonakshi makes her face mischievously.

Soha starts laughing.

Sonakshi says: I was joking. It's Vanilla cake. This big. Come on, go.

Soha runs happily.

Me: It was a cute scene among many what the eff scenes. You can very well fast forward to this and ignore the rest.

Sona scoots by Bhaiya: Thank you.

Bhaiya says: What thank you?

Sona puts the mask back and says: I am Batman. No anger in front of me.

Bhaiya pouts: Batman wore saree today?

Sona: I am sorry I was late and thank you.

Bhaiya says: It's okay.

Me: Sonakshi, it was an emergency. So your being late wasn't the problem. But it costs nothing to send a text or a message with just "Dealing with emergency. Will be late. Please manage until I get there" written on it.

When you were waiting for Bhaiya on his birthday and he didn't even bothered to call or sent you a message, how did you feel? Didn't you get angry and cried on the way home? Well, why do you do to others which you know that you won't like if done to you? Being considerate is part of being a good human being. You were once very considerate. Now I have my doubts.

Golu comes there to ask Sonakshi and Bhaiya to come fast.

Sonakshi asks: Why?

Golu says: Bua (Paternal aunt) is here and she is asking for you.

Sonakshi says: Okay. Let's go.

Golu runs away.

Bhaiya says: Shall we go, Batman?

Sonakshi says: Okay, Hulk.

She loops her hand through his and they go back to the party.

Me: Hulk suits Bhaiya very well. But Sonakshi should be Black Widow. Why? Well, she is very into performing solo these days.

At Vicky's house, Elena tells Vicky: Why are you bothering yourself with these thoughts?

Vicky says: Do you know, how sweetly she invited me? No, Elena. I will go. I will do something to go there.

Elena says: Vicky, until Dev bhai don't agree, we can't meet Soha.

Vicky: He will agree. Soha will convince him. I am pretty sure that Soha won't cut cake without me.

Elena: How do I make you understand? At that age, we couldn't understand anything more than cake and toys. Soha will also think that. By now, Soha must have cut cake too. I will make something nice for you to eat.

She leaves.

Vicky plots: I will definitely go there.

Me: Of course, he will. Because Bhaiya's son isn't Golu. Bhaiya's daughter is Suhana.

At the party, everyone claps.

Riya asks: Bhaiya, Bhabhi where were you? We were waiting for you for so long. We have to cut the cake. Soha, cut the cake. Look how yummy it's looking.

Golu chants: Cut the cake, cut the cake.

Sonakshi and Bhaiya also tell Soha to blow candles and cut the cake.

Bhaiya says: Soha, close your eyes, make a wish and blow the candles. Then cut the cake.

Soha asks: Will the wish I make, come true?

Me: I can smell the manipulation in this statement.

Sonakshi says: Of course. Come on now cut the cake.

Me: And trapped.

Soha closes her eyes, makes a wish and blows the candle.

Everyone clap.

Ishwari says: Whatever my doll asked for, will definitely come true.

Me: Oh dear.

Bhaiya asks Suhana to cut the cake.

Soha says: But what about my wish?

Golu asks: What did you wish for?

Soha says to her parents: I wished for Papa to bring Vicky Chachu back. He is my best friend.

Everyone is shocked and feels awkward except Radha who is jumping with joy inside.

Me: Me too. Since when Vicky is her "best friend"? I thought Jatin was her best friend and then Golu was her best friend and then Bhaiya was her best friend. Oh wait, in that sense, Vicky is her current best friend and tomorrow someone else will be her best friend.

I mean of course in her dictionary, best friend definition means newer and more recent person/animal/piece of trash which gives her temporary attention.

Who the eff cares for the old relationships? The newer, the better.

Sonakshi says: Soha, but Vicky Chachu can't come naa?

Soha asks: But why?

Ishwari says: Soha, Elena masi told you naa that Vicky Chachu can't come? He has a lot of work to do.

Soha: But today is my birthday naa. That's why I want my whole family.

Everyone is looking at each other.

Soha turns to Bhaiya: Papa, I made a wish. Now you make it come true. Pleaseeeee...

Me: So what? You can't fulfil every demand of a kid. What kind of parenting is that? If Suhana tomorrow asks for Prem Chopra, will Bhaiya dig out his ashes and resurrect him for his daughter?

Bhaiya gets down to Soha: Suhana, is really Vicky Chachu so important for you?

Suhana nods.

Bhaiya says: Then fine. Your Papa will surely fulfil your wish. He will bring Vicky Chachu.

Soha nods happily.

Me: Holy shit. Bhaiya, you suck at parenting. Let me just make this clear to you.

Always saying yes is not a sign of good parenting. You have to learn to say no and make her learn to accept no gracefully before it's too late. The world doesn't owe your daughter anything nor it will fulfil her every demand.

What will happen when you are no longer there? If Suhana doesn't learn to hear no, she will grow up with a sense of entitlement and it won't do her any favour in the long run.

Radha is super happy. Sonakshi is shocked.

Bhaiya looks at Sonakshi and leaves. Sonakshi thinks: Oh God, I wonder what Dev will do to Vicky.

Bijoy is angry but he keeps silent.

Me: Bijoy, had I been in your position, I'd have the same expression in my face. We both think the same about Bhaiya's parenting skills. It must hurt you real bad to see the sensitive girl you helped raised, turning into spoiled brat at the hand of over-indulgent father.

Ronita feels sick. Saurabh says: Ronita, you don't feel good. Let's go home.

Ronita says: I am okay.

Bijoy tells Asha: Asha, what kind of wish Soha asked for? Why does she need Vicky?

Asha says: You please speak in lower volume. Vicky is someone to Soha as well. Kids get attached so easily.

Bijoy: Arre, poor Dev left party naa?

Asha: We won't talk about this right now.

Me: Wow!!! Do any of you have any doubt from where Soha inherited her disloyal gene?

Here Asha is defending the relationship of the man with her granddaughter who threw her family out on the street and tried to fleece her son-in-law. The same son-in-law whom she used to butter up before he got back with her daughter.

Bijoy may not have liked Bhaiya when he hurt Sonakshi. But today, he is feeling bad that Bhaiya had to leave his daughter's birthday party because his ungrateful daughter now needs Vicky more than anyone else in her life.

His loyalty was always intact to the people he loves and those people who loves the people he loves.

Saurabh says: Maa, we have to go home now.

Asha says: Right now? But Soha still...

Saurabh says: No, Maa. Ronita got exhausted already on the way. You two stay.

Bijoy says: No, we are also leaving with you.

Asha looks at Bijoy.

Bijoy says: Arre, she is sick. Let's go.

Asha says to Bijoy: What will you tell Soha?

Bijoy: Asha, Soha is understanding. We will meet her and wish her then leave.

They all leave.

Me: Bijoy is smart. He knows that Soha now doesn't give a damn about them. So if they leave, it won't bother her at all. She doesn't really need her whole family in her party. So why stay at a party where the hostess doesn't give a damn about anyone else except one person? Might as well go home and care for people who care about you.

I'd have left too. I have zero tolerance for bratty behaviour.

Asha finds Soha.

Soha says: Asha, how did you like my new dress?

Asha says: Very pretty.

Soha says she will get a same dress for her.

Asha says: No need to get a dress for me. But you first take your gift.

She wishes Soha and kisses her.

Soha says: Thank you. But you give gift after cutting the cake naa?

Asha says: Yes, but you know naa that Ronita mami has a baby in her tummy?

Soha says: Yes.

Asha says: The baby is bothering Mami. So we have to go home.

Soha says: Can't we make the baby understand?

Saurabh says: When the baby grows up, you make the baby understand yourself.

Soha comes to Ronita and says: Don't worry, Mami. You go.

Ronita says: My sweet child. Thank you.

Soha asks Asha: Asha, does Mami have boy or girl?

Asha says: Well, we don't know yet.

Soha says: I hope it's twins.

Everyone smiles.

Asha says: Twins? Why?

Soha says: Then they will be two. One boy, one girl. Then they won't have to be alone because their friend will be with them and they won't get bored.
Asha says: I pray to God what you are wishing comes true. Okay, now we are going. You enjoy your birthday party, okay?

Soha says: Okay.

She runs away.

Asha tells Ronita and Saurabh to wait in the car. She will say bye to everyone and come.

Me: Chalo, bachhi ne bol diya aur mahaan atma ne approve kar di. Ek ladka aur ek ladki is coming up.

(There you go. Kid made demand and divine soul gave her approval. One boy and one girl order is coming up)

After all, in this show, whatever kids and mothers demand, gets granted by God (CVs) pronto.

Soha and Golu are on the swing.

Sonakshi comes there.

Soha gets down from the swing to see Sonakshi there: Mamma, I am having lots of fun.

Me: But I bet your father is definitely not having fun for having the noose through his nose. But who cares? What the princess want, she gets.

Sonakshi says: Very good. Are you happy now?

Soha: Very happy. Papa fulfilled my wish. He said that he will bring Vicky Chachu. And when he brings Vicky Chachu, we will have a lot of fun.

Sonakshi: We just want you to be happy like this. We don't want anything else.

Me: God, here is another over indulgent parent. Sonakshi was a better parent as single mother. It's one thing to make a child happy with love and attention and another to make her happy by giving in to every unreasonable demand and spoiling her. The former is good for her and the later is not.

Sorry. I have nothing more to say.

At Vicky's house, Elena is trying to coax Vicky into having Karela (bittergourd) which is supposedly his favourite.

Vicky doesn't want it.

Me: First of all, Vicky's favourite is bitter gourd. Figures!!! How appropriate.

Secondly, when did Elena learned cooking? I never saw her even bother to enter kitchen. No wonder Vicky is refusing to eat.

Poverty isn't a crash course in acquiring culinary skill.

Elena asks: Vicky, why are you being so disappointed. You wished Soha yesterday naa? I made this with so much love. Please eat.

Vicky says: I don't want to eat.

Elena puts the plate down.

Golu in clown wig is calling Vicky. He says: Phone is ringing, Suhana.

Suhana smiles.

Vicky picks up the phone.

Both kids start talking together.

Vicky says: Golu, Soha slowly. What happened, tell me.

Soha says: You just get ready fast.

Vicky asks: Get ready? Why?

Golu says: Suhaana made a wish before cutting the cake that you have to be here. That's why BigCha has gone to bring you here.

Vicky: Dev bhai coming to get me?

Golu says: Yes, Papa. Suhaana refused to cut cake without you. So BigCha had to agree.

Elena asks: Dev bhai is coming here?

Soha says: Vicky Chachu, I won't cut cake without you. I want to cut cake with my whole family. You will come naa?

Vicky nods: I will definitely come, beta.

Me: Vicky and he will refuse to come? Who are you kidding?

By the way, this reminds me, I once read a news about this woman who kept pressurising her family to keep paying dowry to her husband for their lavish lifestyle.

I always wondered, what kind of people are so disloyal to their parents that they make their parents pay through their nose using their love against them?

Now I know.

Bhaiya is fuming outside the door of Vicky's house. He remembers what happened before.

Me: That's why I said, you should practice saying no. In season one, you were your mother's puppet. In season two, your daughter is holding your strings. When will you learn to take control of your life in your own hands, Bhaiya?

Then he thinks about Suhana's demand and rings the doorbell.

Elena opens the door and pretends to be surprised.

Vicky comes to the door and says: Bhaiya, why are you standing there? Please come in.

Bhaiya says awkwardly: I didn't come here to sit. I came to take you to Suhana's birthday party. She is waiting for you. She wants you there.

Vicky pretends to be shocked: You came to get me leaving your party?

Me: What can he do? He has noose on his neck and unfortunately doesn't have the willpower to cut the strings of manipulation.

Bhaiya says: I just told you clearly that Suhana wants you to attend her birthday party. Now you come without any talking or I will have to forcefully drag you there.

Me: Aaaannnnddd, he is taking his frustration and helplessness on someone who is holding the strings to the girl who is, in turn, holding his stings.

You know, Bhaiya? You are like Kalidas before he got smart. You are cutting the branch you are sitting on. That's just stupidity.

Either cut the string, or learn to bend in front of whoever Suhana wants you to bend.

Vicky: There's no need to do that. I am coming with you.

Elena says: Forcefully? What do you mean by that, Bhai? The way you took Golu, like that?

Vicky tries to stop Elena from ruining his chance.

Elena says: One minute, Vicky.

Then she turns to Bhaiya: Didn't you get enough by insulting Vicky? You hit Vicky in front of his son. You have no regret for that. And today when your daughter wants her Vicky Chachu to attend her party, you came to get him. You need Vicky. Then why are you showing attitude?

Bhaiya looks at Elena angry.

Me: Why not, Elena? Didn't you and Vicky mooched off him for this long and yet showing attitude? Then why can't Vicky show up as a prop to please his daughter?

After all, all these years of illegal money laundering has to be paid off, doesn't it? Or did you think your debts are written off?

Bhaiya says: Right now, I am not talking to you. Besides, whatever I had to tell you, I did and whatever you had to say, you did.

Elena says: Yes. No one can tell you anything. Because you don't want to hear the truth.

Me: You won't know truth even if it bites your butt, honey. So don't talk about truth.

I swear to God, Elena reminds me of a phrase in Bengali which translates to, "A thief's mother has the loudest voice" (Chorer maa-er boro gala)

Vicky stops her: Elena, what are you doing? Today is Soha's birthday. Soha is like a daughter to me (Me: *SNORT*). If she is calling me, I will go. Nothing else matters for me. Bhai, if I knew you could keep your anger aside for Soha, then I won't have sneaked in your home in the night.

Bhaiya is shocked.

Me: Sure she is like your daughter. You treat her the way snakes treat their daughter. They make nice snacks in hunger.

Bhaiya says: You came home last night?

Vicky: Golu wanted to wish Soha. So we went there with Soha's favourite Vanilla cake and she was very happy. We cut cake and then we left without telling anyone.

Bhaiya thinks about how Soha behaved after seeing the chocolate cake he made the night before.

Me: Looks like Vicky managed to hurt Bhaiya's weakest spot. That's what you can expect with a daughter like Suhaana, Bhaiya. Better make your heart strong. She is not yet a grown up.

Vicky says: You don't worry. I will go with you.

Bhaiya says: I will wait for you outside. And Vicky, this is not a matter of business. This is a matter of my daughter, Suhana. So please don't make any problem.

Elena glares at Bhaiya.

Bhaiya leaves.

Vicky smiles at Elena and then smirks at her back.

Me: Elena is behaving as if assuming Vicky to do something bad is unbelievable on Bhaiya's part. I literally can't wait until she is thrown out on the street. Can't tolerate her.

Sonakshi comes to Soha and Golu. Soha says: Mamma, Papa didn't come yet with Chachu. He will come naa?

Sonakshi says: Of course, Papa will come. He won't miss your birthday party.

Other kids are tired. They say: Soha cut the cake. How long will you wait?

Soha says: No, when Papa comes, then I will cut the cake.

One of the kids complaint: It's so boring.

Golu loyally defends his sister: My sister's party isn't boring.

Kids are saying: Sorry Golu. But this is boring.

Golu says: If you say it again, you will get a punch instead of cake.

Me (*SNORT*): Golu got training from BigCha. Aaj ka Gundaraj (Bullying rocks)...

Sonakshi stops Golu: Don't say that. Let's go to park. Papa will come until then,

Sonakshi ushers the kids with her.

Me: Suhana is literally the most inconsiderate kid ever now. If any kid behaved like this in his/her birthday, I'd have taken my child home.

Bhaiya is standing in front of Vicky's house: How long will he take? Suhaana's birthday party is going on and he is taking time...

Just then Ishwari calls him: Dev, where are you? Are you bringing Vicky?

Bhaiya says that he is waiting for him in front of his house. He asks if Suhana cut the cake.

Just then he hears kids chanting for Suhaana to cut the cake.

Ishwari says: Dev, your daughter is born with your stubborn nature. She won't cut the cake until you two come.

Then she tells Sonakshi that Bhaiya is waiting for Vicky.

Sonakshi says: Dev will do what he has promised Soha. After all, he is your son.

Ishwari nods and leaves.

Sonakshi then calls Bhaiya.

Bhaiya cuts the phone.

Sonakshi wonders: Why did Dev cut my call?

Me: God, how much hassle Soha is putting everyone through for someone who never even talked to her until he was thrown out of the house. I just can't tolerate this anymore.

If Soha was my daughter, I'd have fed everyone and ended the party. She doesn't deserve a party with well-wishers with that kind of attitude. It would have taught her never to repeat that kind of stunt again.

PRECAP: Ishwari gives Soha a Rakhi.

She asks: Why did you give me this Rakhi? Who should I tie this to?

Ishwari says: Tie it to your Mamma.

Soha ties the Rakhi to Sonakshi.

Bhaiya is surprised.

Me: Umm... Doesn't Bhaiya know why?

Soha asks: But Dadi, why did I tie Rakhi to Mamma?

Ishwari says: You have tied the Rakhi to your little brother who is now within your Mamma.

Everyone is pleasantly surprised.

Me: Well, Golu should put in his demand for another sister soon. Because as per Soha's track record, Golu is soon going to be redundant. Her "best brother" is on the way.

NO RULES!!! YAY!!!

  1. Hi Tia,

    Soumya here....
I havent been watching or reading any updates of KRP since few weeks now...sorry that I am reading your blogs too...I have been pretty busy with DH working for 14 to 16 hrs a day and me taking care of everything else at home at work...also the story line didnt attract me enough to find time to invest....I am happy that the show is ending....it should have ended long back when there was still some sense left in the show and characters....I dont understand why the makers spoil something which was so beautiful when they started...its just not KRPKAB that I am talking about....there are many shows that start of with so much promise and potential only to be fallen from sky....I wish the new directors and story writes learn from the 80's and 90's doordarshan serials which were so good, it was only because there was not unnecessary drama or dragging or OTC stuff!....

Anyways Good things always end...it would have been better if it ended when it was still good :D :)

It was very nice knowing you thru KRP...I will be visiting your blog to read about your adventures...also let us know if you will be watching any other series....

    1. Hi Soumya,

It was very nice to meet so many wonderful people through this show. For that, I am thankful to this show.

But I felt that beyond first 150 episodes or at least since the marriage track the show lost its charm because of the way they portrayed Dev and Sonakshi.

However, I will continue my writing as I mentioned. Drop in whenever you are free. Share what's going on in your life and have a great time ahead.

      Thanks,

    2. thats absolutely true...the first 150 episodes were sheer bliss....the story, characters and portrayal was to the point with no OTT....my fav of all the episodes is the one where Sona and Dev are in Sona's garden just before his engagement to Natasha...I love the scene where Dev says..."But seriously Sonakshi"....I love this one better than the proposal or any other...those were the scenes where everything was so natural and nothing was forced....

anyways...all the three leads were amazingly best....loved supriyaji from her Tu Tu Mein Mein stint itself...she has been a great actor...wish to see them doing more

    3. Agree with everything that's said here and feel very happy to see people from this blog (and earlier the thread) give honest reviews and not hurling praises just for the sake of it being their fav show. Twitter is filled with that!
Honestly loved this little gang of ours and the healthy discussions which followed with diff POVs.
      Thanks you guys.

  2. Love, love your writings. I'm a silent reader. Happy the show is going off air. They spoilt a really nice story. Will most definitely continue to read your blog after the show ends.
I'm from Nigeria by the way.

  3. Yes even I'm happy that the show is ending, wasn't watching it anyways. Also I feel erica especially deserves a better character.

    1. I hope she gets a new show more suited to her talent. The Sonakshi Bose in the initial episodes were incredible. I'd love to watch her playing another strong character.

    2. Yeah she is not suited to play the bahu. Her looks are way too classy for that. She was getting overpowered by shaheer and Supriya ji screen presence.

    3. You are right. Even I felt that the writers were biased towards Supriyaji hence the whitewashing of her character. And Shaheer and Supriyaji definitely had more screen presence than Erica. Even her dialogues are horrible.

    4. Agreed. I wish next time she doesn't get stuck in TV Bahu role.

  4. Regarding saurabh, I don't think he was negligent in business. I think the screenplay just did not show him enough. But good that the show is ending, the show has now become into a family drama with Ishu as the matriarch. It's not devakshi's story anymore. I'm not for family cliche dramas. Guess the channel asked them to turn into one for garnering in more viewers, but pulled the plug when trps din improve.

    1. Frankly, to make Ishwari and Asha into some kind of Goddess, the plot got screwed. I agree. It stopped being Dev and Sonakshi's story and became DIY project.

The channel is pulling the plug because there's a strike going on. They didn't want to continue the show in that situation.

  5. In a bizarre turn of events Beyhadh a show which was already done is now on extension and a vocal online following Wala show going off air. Too much shock for me , while mom is pissed cause beyahdh is a toture at this point.

I would recommend naamkaran to you Tia whenever you get time, chkc the show out. Especially for the male lead, you will understand 😎😘

Epi sound like torture fest and seriously, kudos to bijiy for leaving with rinita rather than stick with this crappy brat.

    1. Good to know. I will check it out. I think I saw a promo which seemed kind of like Mahesh Bhatt's Zakhm, no? A cruel, conservative mother with a weak-willed son who is married to a woman from different religion and has kids with her. But mother forces him to marry another woman?

    2. Umm what strike you mentioned above??

Na na don't bother with start. Yep the show was inspired hy zakhm but obviously it has changed now. Try from post leap, the kid grows up and comes back for revenge.you may enjoy it

    3. That's what I heard. I guess Union for television workers are going for a strike and the makers don't want to be caught in it.

Okay, once this show ends and I come back from vacation, I will check it out.

  6. Hi Tia.
Just read the news and came in to drop a hello.
Haven't been following anything about the show for about 2 months now. I wish they had ended it sooner so that we all would've had some peace of mind which was missing since the leap. And also so that it would've spared us from putting our brains into the freezer.
Nevertheless I'm having mixed feelings about the show going office-air.

Just wanted to share, for whatever part I watched the show and read your updates I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
A big fat thank you for that.
Maybe I'll just get myself to watch the last episode.

P.S and very importantly : Do continue with your blog, I'll love to read your travel diaries.

    1. Thanks Bucky. I think a lot of people who followed this show lost interest. Kavi, serialjunkie, Sabita - to name a few...

Anyhoo, thanks for reading my ramblings anyways. I appreciate sticking out for that.

As promised, I will write my blog on my travels. Stay tuned. :)

  7. Well, as much as I dont like the story at times, I wud prefer krpkab than beyhadh anyday.

Thanks Tia. And thanks to krpkab, I found some great people and their writings

    1. Yes. This was the only show I watched mainly to write my blog. I don't watch any other show regularly. But as I said, if you start watching another show, feel free to write about it. You have the access. I already have one recommendation to check out after I return. I am open to more recommendations.

  9. Hi Tia I hope u are doing well. It's been a month or more since I last watched an episode of KRPKAB, but since the show will end soon might just catch up with it later. Abut new shows, I recommand Naamkaran, it has one of the best heros characterisation wise, heroine too is good, watch the post leap story after Avni grows up (Avni is the heroine).Episodes are available on hotstar, for the story pre leap wikipedia is enough. In this show you will find a hero who would stand by what is right, he never gets brainwashed.
