UK Trip - Day 2
On the first day in Edinburgh, we woke up late since we were still jetlagged. We somehow dragged ourselves out of bed, had breakfast and headed over to Edinburgh Castle.
After climbing huffing and puffing on top of the hill where the castle is standing majestically, we were told at the entrance that Greg's camera bag isn't allowed due to its size and no, they have no baggage storage option either. Aaaarrrgggghhhh!!!
He spent a whopping $700 on his camera backpack and it has no entry? WTF?
Disappointed we started walking down The Royal Mile convinced that it's going to be a wasted day. But it wasn't. A few mishap here and there (Yes, that's the actual conversation I had with my husband on messenger. Yes, I am directionally challenged)...
However, it was not as bad. We had lunch at the oldest cafe in Edinburgh and at least the Royal Mile is done. So tomorrow we will grab a bus to go to Holyrood palace and Edinburgh Castle and day after tomorrow, we pick up our car and will drive to the next stop - Oban... Nope nothing can go wrong, right?
Bonus deal of the day was for me to pick up a gorgeous 100% Eglinton Cashmere stole in Sapphire Blue and Emerald Green along with achy, not-gonna-makey-one-more-step feet.
Then off to bed. I needed my sleep and my feet needed their rest...
