Because if they had faced the same situation, parents are teachers would have got alerted due to the sheer no. of kids involved. But that didn't happen.
Ishwari is saying: Let them come home. I will punish them. Until now they have seen my love. Now they will see my anger.
Radha: I am very worried, Jiji. I hope no one casts evil eye on them.
Ishwari: No no. Nothing like that will happen. God will get them home safely.
She prays.
Radha consoles Elena (Who doesn't look worried enough): Elena, don't worry. God will fix everything.
Elena: I am worried. How can they make such a big mistake?
Vicky says: I will try calling Golu. He will definitely listen to me.
Ishwari asks Bijoy to call Dev to find out if he got the kids.
Bijoy agrees to call.
Golu cries.
Soha consoles Golu: Don't cry, Golu.
Golu: I will never play this game again. I didn't know it was so dangerous.
Just then he gets a message.
Me: He keeps getting messages. But no call is coming from his father. How is it possible?
He reads: You have to complete the last task before going home. After this game over or your family is over.
They cry in fear.
Golu reads: They have to go to the top of the lift.
Soha: No, I won't let you do anymore task.
Golu: I don't want to do any task either. But what can we do?
Bhaiya and Sonakshi reach the place.
Soha sees him: Papa is here.
She drags reluctant Golu: Papa will fix everything.
Bhaiya shouts their names.
Suhaana shouts: Papa
She continues to drag Golu.
Bhaiya runs to them and hugs them: Golu, Suhaana. Where did you go? Who goes like this without telling anyone? Never do this again.
He hugs them tightly.
Bhaiya: No need to be scared. I am here naa. I will fix everything. I will get you ice cream and chocolates. Come on. Nothing will happen now.
He takes them with him.
Me: Thanks to separate shoot, Sonakshi, who came with Bhaiya, neither called out her kids name, nor run to them when they were found nor she was anywhere around when Bhaiya was taking them home.
At Bose house, Sourav and Ronita sits down. They were shopping.

Ronita laughs.
Me: Filler scenes. Moving on.
So in spite of them coming together, Bhaiya finds the kids, then finds a chocolate shop in that God-forsaken area, buys them chocolate and then we see Sonakshi coming there mumbling nonsense: Soha, you...
Bhaiya hands over chocolates to Golu: Golu, why your phone is not connecting? Why was it off? Give it to me.
He takes Golu's phone: These are messages.
Sonakshi: Whose messages are they, Dev?
Me: Because it's body double, there's no natural hugging of mother to the kids. Instead it seems as if Sonakshi is behind Skype screen.
Bhaiya reads the threatening messages. He asks what is this?
Soha says: Papa, we got trapped in this game.
Golu: The game admin said if we don't do as they say, they will harm you.
Sonakshi: That's why you didn't go to school?
The kids nod.
Soha: We had to complete the task.
Sonakshi: Dev, this is the game which...
Bhaiya: Yes, but you have nothing to worry. You trust me naa. BigCha won't let anything happen to you. No one can harm you or your family. Now you go home. Sonakshi, take them home. I have to go to the office.
Sonakshi: Okay. But why office?
Bhaiya: I have something to do.
Sonakshi says okay and takes the kids home.
Me: Now the game admin is over. Bhaiya has put bull's eye on him and we all know what Bhaiya does to people who harm his family.
But I still don't know how the messages coming through, the phone was turned on, but the calls weren't going through.
Everyone is worried at Dixit house.
Sonakshi brings the kids home.
Golu calls out: Dadi...
Radha: Jiji, God listened to you.
Elena runs to them and hugs them.
Vicky: Are you two all right?
Radha hugs Golu: Where did you go, rascal?
Ishwari comes running. Golu and Soha run to her.
Ishwari asks: Where did you go? You scared us so much.
Mamaji: Look, this should not happen again.
Bijoy: Golu, Soha, why did you run seeing me?
Sonakshi: Baba, one minute.
She tells the kids to go to their room.
Ishwari also tells them to go.
The kids leave.
Vicky asks: Bhabhi, where did you find them?
Sonakshi: I am telling you everything. But don't ask anything to the kids. They are very scared right now.
Radha: Oh God, did anyone harm them?
Sonakshi: No. But the game Baba was talking about, they got trapped in such game. And that's why Golu was eager to get phone. And this hasn't been going on just now. It has been going on for a while now.
She tells the whole story.
Everyone is shocked.
Ishwari: Because of these cell phones, internet, kids are losing their childhood. Kids should be kept away from them.
Vicky: This had been going on for so long, yet no one noticed?
Sonakshi: Dev realised a while ago.
Me: Now that's a lie, Sonakshi. Bhaiya didn't realize anything. You realized it first and that's why you were questioning Soha and Elena.
Sonakshi: Dev has gone to office with Golu's mobile so that he can track the mastermind behind it.
Radha: But what's the use realising like this?
Me: True. But at least Bhaiya and Sonakshi are not oblivious like you Tripathi lot.
Mamaji: Whatever happened, happened. Now let it go. By God's grace, the kids are home safe.
Ishwari nods.
Radha: That's fine. But all I am saying that everyone should pay attention to the kids.
Sonakshi looks at her.
Radha: I mean, they hardly have time. We all should take our responsibilities.
Me: True. Good point. But who stopped you before from stepping in? But I never saw you ever taking up the task. Why not implement that in action and see if you can turn your useless duo into being responsible parents? No go ahead. I'd love to see that instead of you useless moochers blaming the people who are actually taking the responsibility.
Ishwari: Bhabhi, this is the matter of the kids in this family. We have to understand them better. We all have to take responsibility. What happened, happened. But this should not happen again. This is our duty.
Elena's expression is like: Oh shit. Now I will have to do work.
Ishwari: And one more thing. No one will talk about this to the kids.
Me: Say what? Of course they have to be taught about cyber security and have to get some punishment even if they are grounded so that they learn from their mistakes and never go behind their parents' back.
At Bose house, Asha, Ronita and her mother are at the dining table.
Sourav is walking with the baby.
Ronita: Sourav, come and eat. You are skipping too many meals.
Sourav: I am not hungry. Besides she is playing now. What if she starts to cry?
Ronita: If she starts to cry, then we are here to manage. You come and have your food.
Asha: Come on over, Sourav.
Sourav: She is playing. Besides I am learning to manage her.
Ronita's mother: Sounita doesn't know that her parents are not ready to take care of her yet.
Sourav: It's okay. We are also first time parents. So we will make mistakes. I am sure, this happens to all first time parents.
Asha nods.
Sourav: Maa, you must have made some mistakes in Ronita's time. Tell us about them naa. I am sure we will learn from them.
Ronita's mother: I was absolutely perfect, but I made a mistake once. Ronita liked to play with artificial fruits. So one day I gave her artificial fruit for breakfast. She was hungry all day.
Everyone laughs.
Me: Hain? You might have got distracted. But Ronita didn't have any sense to cry for food?
Ronita asks Asha: Now you tell.
Asha: Yes. One time I put Sona in front of the tv while I work. I got busy doing chores. For five hours she was watching tv.
Everyone laughs.
Me: Again, such dumb kids not to cry for attention or food or whatever.
Ronita asks: And Sourav?
Asha: Sourav? He hardly let me forget anything. He used to cry all the time.
Everyone laughs again.
Me: And hence he didn't have to go hungry all day or watch tv for five hours. Turns out, as a child, Sourav was smarter than Sonakshi and Ronita.
Ronita: But we learn from our mistakes.
Sourav: Yes, like we are learning and becoming better parents. Isn't it, Maa?
Asha agrees.
Ronita's mother says: You have a lot to learn yet.
Me: Do you ever encourage people, lady? Or praising people or lift their spirit is beyond you? I agree that they should learn everything. But discouraging them at every step will make this process more difficult.
Ronita's mother says she is going to a relative's house.
Sourav: Really? I mean so suddenly?
Ronita hides her smile: Yes, Maa. If you go, how will Sourav manage?
Asha coughs.
Sourav: No no. It's not like that. If you want to go, then go.
Ronita: So you are not with us this Diwali?
Ronita's mother: No. I mean I will miss you and I will try to come back here in Diwali.
Asha gets alert.
Ronita: Okay.
Ronita's mother: Sourav must be thinking oh mother-in-law left. I am spared by God's grace. Eh Sourav?
Sourav smiles but doesn't say anything.
Me: What will he say? That's the truth.
At night, Asha is trying to get Sounita to sleep.
Bijoy: Sounita, go to sleep or Hitler granny will come. Go to sleep at this grandmother's lap.
Asha laughs: Bijoy, my doll sleeps very well on my lap.
Bijoy: But when did her Hitler granny left? I thought she will settle here.
Asha: Bijoy, shut up. She just left for two days. She will come back here.
Bijoy: But Saurav will get some relief. Ever since she came, the poor thing had been bouncing like a football.
Me: Come on Bijoy. Ronita's mother didn't just make Sourav work, she also made her daughter work equally hard. You are pro-equality. You live with her daughter and your son all the time, why can't she come to live with her daughter and son-in-law?
It's not her fault that your son and her daughter can't set a boundary.
Asha laughs: Poor Sourav. Actually, where do they get time to spend with each other. That's why I said Sounita will sleep with us tonight.
Bijoy: But her granny has such weird stubbornness to teach parenting. They will learn on their own. Let the kids handle it. They will learn.
Asha: Humm... That's why people say, too much advice are not good. Take Sourav and Ronita's case. They have to learn from their experiences naa.
Me: God, Asha is so openly hypocrite. Asha, then why not take Bhaiya and Sonakshi's case where you show up with never ending regressive advice. Let them also learn parenting through their mistakes. Why poke your nose there?
And Bijoy, there was a reason for her concern. Your son and daughter-in-law left the baby in a restaurant and didn't even realize until they came home. On top of that, Ronita and Saurav have shown no proof that they can handle a crying baby.
The method might be a little strict, but at least they are learning thanks to Ronita's mother.
You didn't teach them anything even though you have time to teach Bhaiya and Sonakshi parenting.
Sourav and Ronita are eating in their room. Saurav is falling asleep.
Ronita nudges him.
Ronita: You fell asleep while eating ice cream. You are very tired naa. You do all the work and I just take rest.
Sourav: It's nothing like that. I also have to learn everything. So I have to work.
Ronita: Look, now you know as much as I know. I keep getting angry at you for nothing. Sorry babu.

She says: Sourav, I haven't told you for so many days. But I love you.
Sourav: I love you too.
Ronita: Awww... Shall I feed you ice cream?
She feeds him ice cream.
Sourav: We got a break after so many days. Peaceful and good time.
He lays his head on Ronita's shoulder.
Me: Cute scene between husband and wife which we won't see between Bhaiya and Sonakshi because body double.
Golu is sleeping on Elena's lap. Vicky is caressing his head. He kisses him.
Then Elena also kisses him.
Me: Haila!!! Golu got a jackpot. Two attentive parents at one go? I mean this might very well be one night wonder. But let's see how long this devotion lasts.
Sonakshi also comes to sleeping Soha in her room.
She also caresses her head.
She says: Thank God, you are okay. I was very scared.
She straightens the blanket on her.
Golu and Soha keep sleeping.
Me: Cute scene.
PRECAP: Vicky is telling the women: We will handle kids better than you.
Elena: Challenge accepted.
Bhaiya: Now we can't lose.
Me: Why will you lose, Bhaiya? You had been managing kids just fine. Now you even have helpers. Vicky threw the challenge because he knew he has you.
The women go Diwali shopping.
And at home Bhaiya is instructing Vicky on cooking. Sourav doing some kind of snake dance holding milk bottle in front of Shubh and Mishti.
Then the women go to Bose house and play cards while Bhaiya give a crying Shubh his bottle.
Me: CVs, you better not make Bhaiya lose. That will screw up the whole concept of this season. In fact, it should be a piece of cake for him even if the other two struggle.

Well, he owns a telecom company. So fine, he is a geek. But I still don't know what was the gaming company gaining from this? In the actual incident, the guy wanted to get rid of unwanted people (in his mind), but here a gaming company is killing its own clients. Why the eff would they do that? What will they gain? What is the damn motive?

DeleteMilly, I used to work for a start up. There were 3 co founders. And the start up that I worked was their 4th or 5th venture. They like building products and businesses and then selling it off to build something else. The founders used to develop the product first by themselves and then grow the team and give them the code to enhance. They also used to keep close watch and do code review periodically. Even in my last company, the president who had developed the product was overseeing both product development and network teams closely. He still sat in code review meetings to make sure that the standards are being followed. So I don’t find what Dev does anything special. He is smart and has built that company. I mean Bill Gates also was doing that till a few years before.

DeleteTia, recently there was a shooting in Las Vegas. A man who was approximately 70 yrs old opened fire from his hotel room on unsuspecting crowd who were enjoying the country music concert. More than 200 people died in the shooting and also the stampede and more people were injured. The shooter was not associated with any terrorist cell. Yet he did what he did. And I asked a similar question at that time. I mean what was so god awful in his life that he felt that he had to take his anger out on those people. That too when he had had a fruitful life and was in his 70s.
ReplyDeleteThe makers of such games are like that. They are sadists with sick minds. They enjoy the pain that these kids inflict on themselves. They love to watch those videos over and over, may be even trade or sell to other people who are as sick as them. And they also thrive on the fear they incite and the pain and suffering they inflict upon those families. It gives them a sense of power and that feeling of being “God”. They take pleasure in thinking that they have the power over life and death of another person. And yes there are very sick people on this earth. :(
Regarding the last sentence, not all people are sick. What I meant was that some people are sick and have bad thoughts. They are kind of evil. And do bad things because they enjoy that.
DeleteYes, there are psychos out there. Okay. I will accept that explanation. But it still doesn't make sense why none of the other kids were caught stealing, vandalizing since so many of them were playing games. Some of them were in advance level. So they should have been caught before Golu.
DeleteTia, regarding Golu being the only one who is getting these messages, he is the only one who tried to delete the app and get out of the game. None of the other kids stopped playing nor tried to quit. Also the challenges can be different for each kid at a given time. Meaning the game maker has certain set of challenges to complete within certain days. Only the last challenge is set where the player has to take video of them attempting suicide. But the other challenges can be in random order. The other kids might have got other challenges different than what Golu got.
ReplyDeleteAll the threats started after he tried to delete the game and stop playing the game. After that the game maker kept blackmailing Golu who in turn blackmailed Soha into being his accomplice.
Yes, that's fine. But as we saw in the game, the ultimate ending was death. But despite all the other kids in that school playing the game, no one reached that level. Not to mention, they didn't top the class either. At that time, Golu wasn't trying to get out of the game. He got the question paper which made him top. But the other kids didn't get the same question paper despite not trying to get out of the game. Why is that?
DeleteInitially we thought it could be Thakkar who is favouring Golu. But that's obviously not the case here. So it's a game which for no reason whatsoever started to favour Golu despite all the users who didn't try to delete the game and continued to play. That doesn't make sense.
I'm from IT SHAAVI. I know how startups work.But he was never showed as a techie. Also, isn't it a little far fetched that one telecom company from India,can stop such a malicious game.
ReplyDeleteMily, he was shown to be always working, making presentations, involved with everything in the company. He was shown to know in and out of it, even buy software companies. I remember before initial breakup, in one scene he asks Tina to research a software company and say s he is thinking of buying it. Even with Gujraal, he is shown to be very savvy when he tells him what the merger would mean. Gujraal was shown to be completely bowled by it. After that he is shown to collaborate on all aspects with Natasha.

There was an article about 2 brothers who opened a software gaming company at the age of 14 of and 13. The article said that their father encouraged their love of coding that the kids ended up developing a game where the player has to run through a maze with obstacles. Each level was difficult than the one before. It was downloaded by more than 47000 users. So the duo decided to make new games for phones.
There was also another article about this kid in Mumbai(forgot his name, sorry). He found school boring so dropped out of school in 9th grade, started home schooling. Started working on 3D printer at affordable cost as well as designing it in small size so that it is portable as well as fit on a desk top just like how a regular printer can. He is also considered as the first one to develop a kind of 3D reader for blind people which is once again portable as well as affordable to middle class people. He said that he wants to bring down the cost of it so that anyone should be able to buy it. He also created that in such a way that it could be used with smartphones and tablets. All they had to do was plug-in the device to anything, computer, tv, tablets etc without any problem.
There is a Canadian Indian, Tanmay Bakshi(I remember his name cause I read about him a few days ago). He is 12 yrs old who started learning programming when he was 4. By 6th grade he had been employed by IBM to create guide for it. By that time he had his own YouTube channel where he created instructional videos of how to use IBM Watson. He had authored a book, was key note speaker. Now he is 12 -13 yr old, home schooled, has his own consulting company, was also hired by Google for their AI team, is a keynote speaker on several boards. In his interview he didn’t just call himself a programmer or developer. He called himself AI something.
Dev from the beginning was shown to be very smart. Was shown to be a multi millionaire by the age of 27. So what they are showing for Dev is not far fetched. It is just that he has always shown to be humble about his achievements or his smartness. He considered his intelligence normal like any other person, but more than anything he considered his mothers intelligence more. He never really looked towards the awards he got in his school or business as nothing more than a validation of his mothers efforts. He didn’t really look at it as a validation for his smarts. That’s all.
Shaavi, I appreciate ur intention to justify the show. Never I got the feeling that he 's a techie. Yes he was into telecom that I agree. But don't think he was into the design part of it. That's what krpkab lacks attention to detail.

Whereas if they had shown lakshya doing it. I would hav agreed.
Dev Dixit 's a businessman and that's it, had not been d case, Vicky would never hav able to manage his business. Clearly Vicky 's not from any technical background. The show is all abt heroism. Dev is glorified so much that sona 's reduced to just arm Candy.Sorry I think Indian TV needs to think abt the pragmatic possibility of things rather than leave it to the viewers interpretation. Buying a software company and being a techie is two different things.
And shaavi, just a honest opinion. I think we r over analyzing scenes and rewriting them as per our justifications sometimes.
