Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone... I totally forgot that today is Monday since it's a holiday. Updating is in progress...


EPISODE: The episode starts with Bhaiya and Sonakshi sleeping with Shubh between them. Shubh is upside down and kicking Bhaiya on the face.

Sonakshi wakes up and says: Shubh is kicking. Soha also used to do the same.

Bhaiya: Means the experience I missed out on that time, I am experiencing now because of him.

Bhaiya picks up Shubh and lies him down the right way.

Bhaiya and Sonakshi keep getting messages.

Bhaiya wonders: Why are we getting so many messages?

Sonakshi: So annoying. I am putting my phone on silent.

They again lie down.

Bhaiya gets another message. He wonders: What is this? 

Then he checks the notification: 30 messages?

Sonakshi is also surprised: 30 messages? 

She also checks her phone: 40?

Bhaiya is shocked.

Sonakshi: This is about a video.

Bhaiya: Which video? 

Sonakshi: I got the link.

Bhaiya also checks his phone: Is this the same link?

Bhaiya plays the video and it's the link of Sonakshi's thanks speech at the party the night before.

Bhaiya and Sonakshi smile.

Bhaiya says: Oh wow. Someone uploaded the video of Dr. Sonakshi Dixit's award ceremony. Not bad. You became a celebrity. Famous.

Sonakshi: Yes, but you also became famous. Celebrity superdad.

Bhaiya: But I was already that.

Sonakshi: Yes yes. That's enough. But who uploaded the video?

Downstairs, Ishwari is talking to Buaji on the phone and trying to defend Bhaiya: Buaji, Dev is just... It's only for few days... Sonakshi is just... Okay Buaji I am hanging up. Here tensed Radha also gets a phone call. She says to herself: Enough is enough. I don't want to hear anymore rings. I will switch off the cell phone.

She switches off her phone. 

Ishwari also finishes her phone call: Yes, Buaji. I am apologizing to you on behalf of the children.

At Bose house, everyone is on phone.

Bijoy: Everyone is driving me crazy.

Ronita: Every minute someone or other is calling. I can't talk to anyone anymore.

And why would anyone give their condolences as if Bhaiya has committed some heinous crime or how is it their business whether Bhaiya lives with Boses or not? 

Asha always has lecture ready for everyone else. Why doesn't she tell Madhu Didi: Sorry for what? My daughter and son-in-law are multi millionaires. They have two beautiful kids and are very happy together. How many millions do you have in your bank?

Bijoy was always in your face. Why can't Bijoy say: Whether Dev comes to stay in our house or not, how is that your business? Did he come to stay in your house?

Also, don't know about other communities, but in Bengali community (at least the educated urban section like Boses) this step will be appreciated because Bengalis are ultra liberal and strict believer in equality. 

A community which didn't harass Sonakshi when she was a divorced single mother, why would they harass Bose family for Bhaiya's decision to step back in his career?

They didn't even bat an eye to see Dev in his in-laws house standing with Sonakshi at Sourav's wedding. 

Also, Bijoy and Asha didn't give a damn about the society when Sonakshi came back divorced and pregnant, suddenly this particular decision is a bigger deal than a divorced pregnant daughter? 

CVs, at least keep some consistency of the plot.


Bijoy says: Now everyone got a chance to talk. They don't want to achieve anything in life. Losers...

Ronita: What was the need for Sona Di to say this in front of everyone? Who understands these kind of thing?


Asha: She was among her office colleagues. She must not have said it deliberately. People just want excuse to gossip. We don't have to give explanation to anyone. Let people think what they want to. We won't pick up anyone's phone. Nonsense.

Me: One minute. Did Sonakshi abuse someone in her speech? Made a racist or sexist comment which is offensive to anyone? She praised her husband, her partner, why is that such an offence that she should have kept it to herself?

Bhaiya comes there and checks on Shubh: Look, he is sleeping so peacefully. Sleep son, you are still young. When he grows up, he will get so stressed by internet videos that he won't be able to sleep.

He starts folding Shubh's clothes.

Me: This reminded me of season one when Bhaiya had said that he didn't know how to fold a handkerchief when Sonakshi wanted him to help her in house chores. Today he is willingly folding his son's laundry. 

This just proves that anyone can change with the right motivation. Bhaiya has improved the most since season one. No one had grown as a person as much as him.


Sonakshi looks guilty.

Bhaiya asks: What happened, Sonakshi?

Sonakshi: Dev, I am sorry.

Bhaiya: What for?

Sonakshi: Whatever I said, I said genuinely. I just wanted to share my feelings. I wanted to say how much you have supported me. But everything went wrong. Because of me, your reputation got ruined.

Dogs need fake confidence to appear as Tiger. Tigers know who they are. They don't need fake courage and pretense to be who they are.

Some men overdo macho attitude and social stereotypes to prove their manhood. Real men don't need to prove anything to anyone. 


Sonakshi: You really don't care about this? You know you can share anything with me.

Bhaiya gets up and comes to Sonakshi: That's why I tell you everything in my heart. Truly Sonakshi. May be some husbands are insecure about their manhood. But in my mind, real manhood is in taking care of one's family, managing one's children, supporting one's wife. And I am very happy with my new job. Very content. I don't care about all this. Look, honestly speaking, after doing all this I realized what you had gone through. I have now more respect for women. 

Sonakshi doesn't say anything.

By the way, there's an app my husband and I use for groceries which syncs on real time. So say I pick up something on the way home. Then I remove that item from the list. So when my husband sees the list, he won't see the item I picked up. It works very well for us so that we don't pick up the same items twice...


Sonakshi is thinking about her past while on the way to work.

She remembers how she used to book meetings while changing Soha's diaper. 

Flashback:

Sona is changing Soha's diaper and books her meeting.

Asha comes there: Let me help you naa. You want to do everything yourself.

Sonakshi: Maa, I will do it. I like to work. Isn't it, Soha?

Asha: Sonakshi, don't you think you are missing something right now?

Me: Agreed. No one should have any complaint against Bhaiya anymore. He corrected every mistakes he committed. But Sonakshi, when will you correct yours? When will you give the same support to Bhaiya like he gives you?


Golu says to Soha: You can download new games. I know the trick. 

He is showing Soha how to download games...

Bhaiya comes with breakfast: Oye hello, Trickster Baba... Have your breakfast quickly. There's only a little time left to go to school.

He hands over bread to both of them. He smiles seeing them eating.

He says: Suhaana, finish this and then drink your milk. Okay?

Suhaana: I will finish everything, Papa.

Bhaiya smiles: Good girl. Suhaana, are you okay? You don't have pain in your tummy anymore, naa?

Golu: BigCha, Suhaana is fine. We can take her to school with us too. I get bored without her.

Bhaiya is about to leave when some dads sneer: He used to compete with us in business, now he is going to compete with our wives in managing house.

Bhaiya turns back and says: First of all, I am not competing with anyone.

Secondly, a woman's job is not easy. It's harder to manage a house than a company. 

If you don't believe me, then try doing it yourselves.

Some mothers are listening.

One of the dads say: We have no wish to do women's work.

Another dad says: We like mouse in our hands, not flour.

Bhaiya: If not by choice, but in desperation you have to do it one day, you will realize what it takes. Women can manage both business and home. But men do one thing, that's more than enough of their capabilities.

Don't believe me? Look at American history.

In '60s, women used to be the housewives and men used to work. In short, they followed traditional roles.

Then World War happened and all adult men had to go fight the war.

So women had to do everything traditionally men used to do. 

They had problem in the beginning but they learned because there was no other way. Someone had to do it.

When men came back after the war, the scenario had changed. They could no longer tell the women that they can't do something. They already proved that they can. 

There were some resistance when men tried to reclaim their traditional roles and tried to put women back in the kitchen.

But women refused and held their ground. Eventually men realised that they now have to share equal chores around the house because women are also working outside.

Some men embraced the new roles willingly, some did because there was no option since women refused to do it all.

Today in North America, men can manage house as efficiently as women can and they are both happier to contribute to their family equally financially and emotionally.

But saying that even ten men can't do a women's job is like saying even ten women can't do a man's job.

Both are sexist statements and not at all true. The opposite of patriarchy is not matriarchy. The opposite of patriarchy is equality.


Sonakshi comes to work and she sees Sourabh coming to her.

She ignores him and sits down. 

Sourav signals an employee. She approaches Sonakshi: Ma'am...

Sonakshi says: If you want to talk about the video, I don't want to talk about it.

Another employee brings a bouquet to Sonakshi and says: Congratulations ma'am...

Then one by one everyone gives her a flower and congratulates her.

Sonakshi says thank you to them.

She looks at Sourav and asks: Dada...

Sourav says: What Dada? There isn't one but two reasons to celebrate. One, our clients signed the contract and two, the face of our company, Sonakshi Bose has become internet sensation.

Everyone claps.

Sonakshi smiles and feels shy: You saw the video? 

Sourav: Of course, we all saw it and we are all very proud of you. Of you and Dev.

Sonakshi is shocked: Really?

Sourav: Yes. What do you think? We all came here to criticize you?

How can someone have such conflicted reaction from the same incident? How can someone's attitude change towards the same incident based on other's opinion? 

Why isn't she apologizing and saying sorry to her employees for that video? 

And if she thinks she did nothing wrong, then why was she apologizing to Ishwari? 

Either that deed was wrong or it wasn't. If it was something wrong, then continue to apologize regardless of people's onion and if it was something right, then who the eff apologises without any reason? 

Why does she need constant validation from others when the only person she should be concerned about is her and her husband? 

Sorry. But that's the sign of an insecure woman who needs validation from others because she sees her life through the eyes of others.


Sonakshi: Really? So if our project has been approved, I can't take the credit of it alone. The whole team must take credit for it.

Sourav says: She is right. Let's do one thing. Let's make a video of this and put it on the internet. We will get famous also.

Sonakshi pretends to be angry. Everyone laughs. 


Bhaiya is at school at a school meeting. He looks at everyone who is talking to each other.

Bhaiya says: Think about this. All children come to the school together. The teacher teaches everyone in the class the same whether they stand first or last. When children are interested in something, they study well and get good marks. When the children lose interest, they don't study and get low marks. We should pay attention to our children. We can't just rely on the teachers alone.

I personally don't force my children for marks. Because putting pressure on the children for marks is not good for them. Just getting good marks isn't everything. Learning is important. So I am sorry, I can't be part of this discussion.

Bhaiya leaves from there.

Me: Bhaiya is right. A parent can't forget their part once they send their children to school. The teacher teaches for 7-8 hours. But whether the child learned anything or has any trouble understanding what was taught that day, is the parents' responsibility to check. 

However, not all children can learn at the same pace. So it's also important to know how they learn best and making sure correct teaching method is followed.

I, for example, only has have visual and cognitive memory. 

That means I learn by seeing or doing. I can't learn by listening to lectures because my memory doesn't retain knowledge that way. 

On the other hand, there are some children who learn best by listening because they have auditory memory. 

Here in Canada, on the first day of school, every teacher asks children to take Myers-Briggs test (It's available online for free) to understand how they learn best. The result of the test determines the teaching method so that every child gets a fair chance to succeed.


The parent says: We thought he'd agree with us. But he started to talk completely different. God knows what's in his mentality.

The rest of the parents agree.

Me: Let me explain to you sir what's not in his mentality. Being a sheep and following majority of the opinion blindly is not in his mentality. Unlike others who are nodding your head whether they understand the problem or not because they want to be part of the group, he gave his honest opinion which you asked for. If you wanted an yes man, you should have either hired one or waited for Sonakshi to show up. 

Dev Dixit is not a sheep.

P.S. And just in case you are wondering about your mentality, it's called herd or mob mentality. Look it up. 


Sonakshi calls home. Ishwari picks the receiver and then hangs up.

Then she calls Ishwari's cell. 

Ishwari says to herself: Let it be. I have no desire to answer anymore questions. Let it ring.

Sonakshi wonders why isn't Ishwari picking up her call. She decides to call DK.

DK picks up the phone.

She asks why Ishwari isn't picking up the phone.

DK says she was getting a lot of calls so she isn't picking up the phone.

Sonakshi asks DK to give the phone to Bhaiya.

DK says: Bhaiya went to drop the kids to school. He hasn't returned yet.

Sonakshi: What? He hasn't come back yet? But why? 

DK: I don't know.

Sonakshi says okay and hangs up the phone.

She gets worried and thinks: Why didn't Dev return from the school yet?

Me: Have you guys seen the movie "Agnishakshi" with Monisha Koirala and Nana Patekar? In that movie, Nana Patekar used to schedule a time for his wife as how long it takes her to do a certain chore outside the house (say grocery shopping). And for any reason it takes even one minute longer, he used to grill her like a criminal.

Now Sonakshi is not a psycho. She just wants to make sure Bhaiya gives his attendance of every second of the day.

Had a man did that and asked a woman to inform him what is she up to every second of her time, we'd say the he doesn't trust his wife, he is a tyrant, he is encroaching on her personal time. You know, like we said when Bhaiya downloaded a stalking app on Sonakshi's phone which offended her a lot. She felt suffocated. Do you guys recall?

Yes, so Sonakshi, pray tell, how should Bhaiya feel if every time he is not where you think he should be, you start calling up people asking about his location. And you don't even have the excuse that you fear for his life or losing him. No. Your problem is that while you are happy to bask in your employees' praise for being an inspiration, you didn't reveal that

1. You were willing to give up your career

2. You claimed that Bhaiya's stubborn nature forced you to agree to his condition.

3. You have never ever had an ounce of trust in his ability

4. And you never stand by him unless someone else first appreciates his efforts. If someone doesn't appreciate him, you also leave his side for him to fight alone...

5. What Bhaiya does every second of the day, he doesn't have to tell you. Unless you are willing to do the same. But sorry. That makes you feel that your freedom is being threatened.
