Seriously!!!

Everything is possible in KRPKAB land.

EPISODE: The episode starts with Bhaiya playing with Shubh and Sonakshi is taking video.

Sonakshi shows the video to him: Look how good it turned out.

Bhaiya: This is looking so good. It's good that he takes after his Papa.

Sonakshi: Enough okay?

Bhaiya backtracks: I was just joking, okay?

Bhaiya tells Shubh: Shubh, it's your bedtime. Let's go to bed.

Sonakshi says: Dev, I will put him to sleep. Give him to me.

Bhaiya: Absolutely not. You will keep yawning at work all day. I will put him to bed.

Sonakshi: Nothing like that will happen, okay? You go to sleep and give him to me.

Bhaiya: I said naa, ladies first.

Sonakshi: This is not fair.

Bhaiya picks up Shubh: Let's go. It's time for bed.

He kisses Shubh and takes him to bed.

Sonakshi looks at them in mock envy.

Me: It's okay Sonakshi. I understand how you are feeling. But why don't you make a deal with Bhaiya that weekends and holidays are your exclusive time with your children? That way, you will get your fair share every five days.

Golu is playing video games at night. Soha asks: Golu, why aren't you sleeping? Don't you have school to go to?

Golu says: No one can beat me.

Soha asks: Are you playing games?

Golu: Can't you see?

Me: Good question. Soha sweetie, wasn't it quite obvious?

Soha asks: Where did you get phone? Papa hid the phone naa?

Golu says: Yay!!! Level crashed.

Soha: Golu, speak quieter. If someone overhears, we will get scolded.

Golu: If you play this game, then you won't be able to control either. It's the best game 'till date.

Soha: But where did you get this phone tell me.

Golu: I took it out slyly. I know where BigCha had hid it.

Soha is shocked: Haww... You stole?

Golu: This is not stealing. I just took my phone back.

Soha: But Papa said no, naa. Why did you take phone then?

Golu: Because I wanted to play this game. The best boys from our school plays this game. If I don't play this game, they will beat me.

Golu walks away playing the game. Soha keeps looking.

Me: Not just best boys of Golu's school, but every kid from every corner of the world plays this game. I mean if Bhaiya has to save the day, then he needs a bigger crowd naa. Now look at any Messiah. Do they ever fix just one person? No. They fix the world. Bhaiya is the new Messiah.

At Bose residence, Asha comes to bed and sees that Bijoy is reading something in his cell phone very seriously.

She asks: What are you reading on your phone so seriously? You are looking tensed.

Bijoy: It's a matter of stress, Asha. What is coming out these days. See there's a new game because of which kids are performing dangerous tasks. Look. So that they can make points. Think what is going on in the world.

Asha takes a look: Arre, these kind of games should be banned.

Bijoy: Asha, parents try as they want. But because of this technology, kids are taking these kind of risks. This can make kids separate from parents. Asha, Dev and Sona must also be careful. Even a little carelessness can be the cause for big stress.

Asha nods worriedly.

Me: See these are the illogical craps which bothers me. I mean let's face it. Where can a gaming company release their games?

1. Internet (PC)
2. Android PlayStore
3. Apple Store

Etc.

Now no company, specifically Apple or Android, will allow such dangerous games to be on their store.

That leaves PC. Now internet can have all sorts of crap. But the question is how will kids know about it? No legitimate websites will let these kind of games advertise there and spam sites should be inaccessible by the kids under parental control anyways.

So this plot of games making kids do dangerous stunts are totally unbelievable. Teenage kids, may be. Young kids like Golu and his friends, not bloody likely.

Golu continues to play his game in the garden.

He crosses a level and the game gives him task to steal money from his parents.

Golu says: No. I can't steal. Stealing is bad. I don't want to play such games.

The game starts to buzz loser chant.

Golu says: I am not a loser. Mummy Papa must be sleeping. No one will find out.

He sneaks into Vicky and Elena's room and steals money. Then he takes a picture of him stealing money.

But the sound and flash of the camera wakes up Elena. She says to Vicky that she heard something. Vicky says it must be her dream.

They go back to sleep.

Golu was lying by the bed on the floor. He sneaks out.

Me: Seriously? Even if you had said steal credit card number, I'd have believed that. But even if he steals money and takes pictures, how will the gaming company benefit from it? They don't have physical access to the kid to take the money from them. What good will it do to develop such useless tasks which might make a child go tell his/her parents and they can sue the company? Come on CVs. Have some logic in your plot. Utter rubbish.

Next morning, Asha and Ishwari are chatting.

Asha says: Ronita and Sourabh argue so much that sometimes I think I have three children.

Ishwari laughs: It's good. You and Bijoy must be entertained by this.

Asha says: Yes, we do get entertained.

She looks thoughtful.

Ishwari asks: What's the matter? What are you thinking?

Asha says: No, I was just thinking, so much things have changed these days naa? Education system, mother and father's mentality, even kids' likes and dislikes. Kids used to be told not to go out to play. Now they are told go outside and play.

Ishwari: Very true. You are absolutely right. These days raising kids isn't less than any project. Isn't it?

Asha agrees: True.

Ishwari asks: How is your writing coming along? I am desperately waiting for your next book. I am your fan.

Asha: Nothing is going on in that end. Neither I have time to read a book, forget about writing one. These days I am only enjoying the role of Dida and Dadi. Let's see what story is written in the future.

Ishwari smiles and nods.

Asha looks tensed again.

Me: See Asha, you gave up your career because that's what you wanted to do. Ishwari didn't tell you that you made women's movement for equal rights look like a joke and woman's dedication to one's own career a myth. Instead she accepted your choice. So you should also extend that courtesy to your daughter and her family. What they should be doing must be their choice, not yours.

Golu tells Soha not to tell anyone about the game. Soha agrees.

She also wants to play the game.

Golu says that he will let her play too.

Bhaiya comes there and says: What are you whispering about? Are you planning to make excuses?

Golu says: No BigCha. No excuses. We were studying until late last night. So we are very tired.

Soha also acts: Yes, Papa. We are very tired. Can we stay back home today?

Bhaiya: No, Suhaana. You have already taken three days off this week. We can't miss today. Besides, you slept last night.

Golu: But I am feeling very sleepy.

Asha comes there: Why?

Soha goes and hugs Asha: Dida...

Asha hugs her back and asks Golu: Why are you sleepy even after sleeping through the night?

Golu: We study late and school has extra classes. We get very tired.

Asha looks at Bhaiya in surprise: Extra classes?

Soha, like her mother, throws Bhaiya under the bus: They are teaching us extra because of new patent.

Bhaiya says: Don't worry. I will do something. Now let's go.

Just then Sonakshi walks in and stumbles by the door. But she manages to save herself.

Me: Her reflexes are better than mine at least.

Sonakshi asks Asha: Maa, when did you come?

Asha says: Just now.

Sonakshi tells Bhaiya: Dev, I will drop the kids to school. You sit with Maa. Maa, may I go?

Asha says: Yes, go. Dev is here.

She tells the kids to go and tells them it's important to go to school.

Sona and the kids leave.

At school, Golu tries to spray paint the school wall.

He turns and sees Soha: Oh it's you. I got scared.

Soha asks: Why are you doing this in school?

Golu says: This is a task in the game I am playing. No one will find out anything. I don't want to be a loser. I want to win.

Soha: But one should not do something wrong to win. They will throw you out of the school. And what if you get caught?

Golu: You are my sister. So don't tell anyone. You won't tell anyone naa?

Soha: Okay, I won't tell anyone.

Golu: You are my best sister naa.

Soha: Now let's go to the class. If teacher sees us, we will get caught and will be punished.

Golu agrees and leaves.

Me: Here's the deal though. This game supposedly makes kid steal and do tasks like spray painting a school wall. There are multiple kids playing the same game in this school. So the kids must have hoarded a big load of stolen goods and spray painted the entire school. Where isn't anyone raising any alarm about that?

Secondly, how come no one noticed such mass level of theft and mass spray painting? There's only one school and it can only have so many things to steal and so many walls to paint. Considering how many little thieves running around, how come no one noticed?

Thirdly, where the eff did Golu get bottle of spray paint? This is not readily available in home  or in school. As said, utterly illogical.

Asha is playing with Shubh. Bhaiya comes and asks: I hope Shubh didn't bother his grandmother.

Asha says: Absolutely not. Grandmother is very happy with Shubh.

Then she gets to the reason she came here - to interfere. Exactly what she advises Bijoy not to do.

Asha: Is there still tension in the kids' school?

Bhaiya says: Yes. We have taken such a big decision. It will take time to settle. But the only thing that will happen is what is best for the kids. They changed the whole curriculum and teaching style because I said so. And did Sonakshi tell you, we have also prepared a new nutrition plan for the kids.

Asha: Yes, Sona had said.

Bhaiya says excitedly: You should have seen how happy were the parents of the kids that the kids will eat healthy.

Asha: Dev, massage softly on his head. He will like it.

Bhaiya says okay and massages Shubh.

Asha: Dev, I very much appreciate what you are doing. Managing house, raising kids, now this fight with school... But...

Bhaiya: Oh so Shubh's grandmother came with but.

Me: Bhaiya, Asha always comes with but. The difference is that this but is always dished out to her daughter.

Bijoy is straight forward. He says what he appreciates and also says what he doesn't. He can't speak like a manipulative politician.

But Asha is a trained manipulater. First she says the good things, then she takes out her buts to push her regressive ideas in soft voice. So that people don't realize that they are being manipulated.

Asha: No, no. I haven't come here to discourage you. You only take as much responsibility as you can manage. No need to put too much pressure on yourself.

Bhaiya: Of course, Maa. The advice you will give me will be for my own good. But don't worry. I will manage everything.

Asha looks away.

Me: Again, note how Asha changed her tone when she realized that Bhaiya caught her intention.

Asha still sitting there looking worried.

Bhaiya asks: What happened? Don't you think I can manage? But Maa, I can manage. What you are saying is also correct. When women go out to work, people doubt her capabilities. So when men stay at home, people should doubt his capabilities too.

Asha has no answer.

Me: Bhaiya, where are your feet. You have exposed Asha's hypocrisy so subtle but effective way. I had been saying since forever how regressive Asha is. But it was hard to make my point when everyone was gushing over her. But you have showed her for who she is - a sexist and a hypocrite. She pretends to be liberal and presents herself as some kind of modern wise woman. She is anything but that.

At work, Sourav says: Sona I should take a day off.

Sona: Yes, Dada. I also want to spend time with Shubh and Soha.

Sourav: Sona, Ronita had not been able to manage Mishti alone. And I had also not taken any day off for a while now

Sona says: Right Dada. You are right. Even I haven't taken any day off for a while. And I was also thinking our approach should be different for this presentation.

She sits down. Sourav worries.

Me: What for? Sonakshi has two kids whom her husband managing. You have one whom your wife can't handle. Sonakshi didn't even get a day off when her child was in hospital. You forced her to rush back to work. And now you expect to take off so that you can help your wife while your child is perfectly healthy and has grandparents to help out? Are effing kidding me? Talk about entitlement.

Golu tells Soha: You will see people will make fun of me. I am behind everyone in this game.

Soha: Nothing like that will happen, Golu.

Same kids come and chant Loser to Golu.

One of the kids say: Golu, your score is so low. When did you start to play?

The other kid says: He behaves as if he is a hero. He didn't even cross second level.

The third kid says: We even crossed sixth level.

Golu says: I will also cross sixth level.

The kid says: You let it be. You are not capable of playing this game.

Then they dance around them chanting loser.

Me: How strange is that none of the kids are chanting loser to Soha or taunting her even though she doesn't play the game either. They are only targeting Golu. As I said, inconsistent script. Kids who bully, don't spare their victim's friends.

Secondly, all these kids have been stealing from school, from home and not a single person noticed that things are going missing? And again, where are they hoarding the stolen goods? Kids don't have access to a safety vault.

Golu complaints: See? Didn't I say they will call me loser?

Soha: Look Golu, let them say what they want. You won't become loser because they said so. No one becomes a hero by doing something wrong.

Golu thinks.

Me: Good advice, Soha. Golu, listen to your sister.

At home, Vicky calls DK.

He comes running: You called?

Vicky says: Yes, tell me why you took money from my wallet?

DK says: Money? No Bhaiya ji. Why will I commit such sin?

Ishwari asks: What happened? Which money are you talking about? Why are you asking him in anger?

Vicky says: Rs. 4000 is missing from my wallet and I remember that I had put two notes of Rs. 2000 which he stole.

DK cries: I didn't steal. If I had stolen, my life will leave my body. I have everything thanks to you. You can check my wallet.

He is about to hand over his wallet when Radha stops him and says: Vicky, what are you saying? He works in this house, but he is also a member of this house. He can't do this.

Vicky: Why are you taking his side?

Ishwari: Vicky, Bhabhi is right. DK can't do this. First you calm down. People lose control of their senses in anger. So calm down.

Elena says: Vicky, you might have spend the money or it might have fallen out of your pocket. You are careless, naa?

Vicky: Yes, I know I am careless. But I also remember that I had put two notes of Rs. 2000 in my wallet last night.

Elena: Vicky, you can also say that politely.

Bhaiya: You lost money naa. I will find out who did it. You go to office, Vicky. But as far as I know, DK didn't steal this money. He wasn't even here at night.

Vicky: Bhai, I am not worried for money. It's just Rs. 4000. I am worried because there had been a theft in this house.

Bhaiya: Vicky, I will find out about this. You go.

Radha also tells Vicky to go.

He leaves.

Ishwari says: We have full faith in you DK. You didn't do this.

Radha also tells him to go.

DK leaves.

Bhaiya thinks.

Me: Unfortunately, that's how the world works. The blame always shifts to the helpless and poor.

Sourav says to Sona: Sona, I was telling you that...

Sona gets Bhaiya's call. She says: One second. This is Dev's call.

She takes the call: Yes, Dev.

Bhaiya: Sonakshi, come to the school fast. They have called us.

He hangs the phone.

Sonakshi: But Dev...

She is surprised.

She gets up to leave: Dada, I have to go to Soha's school. You manage the presentation. Okay?

Sourav says: Sona, I am trying to tell you for so long that I have to leave early. And you are not even listening to me. Where's your attention?

Sonakshi: But Dada, this is urgent. I have to go.

Sourav: Sona, I also have personal life. Please understand. And I had promised Ronita that I will come home early. Today is a special day for us. I always adjust. Then why can't you do today?

Sonakshi remembers: I am so sorry. Today is your anniversary. I forgot. You go. I will finish the presentation and go.

Sourabh: Sure? I can wait a little bit longer.

Sonakshi: I will manage. You go.

Sourav gets up to leave. Sonakshi wishes him Happy Anniversary and so does other stuff.

Sourav thanks them.

He makes faces to Sona: You forgot, naa?

Sona makes guilty face.

Then Sourabh says: Sona, I want to say something out of context. I think if Dev babu can't handle this huge responsibility, he should not have taken it on himself. That's what I think.

Sonakshi nods.

Sourav says: Okay I am leaving. Call me if you need me.

He leaves.

Sonakshi thinks.

Me: I am shocked at the level of hypocrisy Sourav has. He is sulking because Sonakshi didn't remember his Anniversary. Did he even once visit Soha or all how is she since she was hospitalized? Instead he pressurized Sonakshi to come back to attend meeting. And he claims that he makes sacrifices. When? Never saw them happening.

Let's put it into perspective.

Presentation to client > Sona's daughter in the hospital

But Sourav's anniversary is > Presentation to client

So by that definition, Sourabh's anniversary > Sona's daughter in hospital

So in short, Sourabh > Sonakshi.

Secondly, he came to give lecture to Sonakshi how Bhaiya is managing three children. Whereas his lazy and useless wife is not being able to handle one child. Now I am asking Sourabh. If your wife can't handle the responsibility of a child, she should not have taken it.

Sonakshi can't go home one day when Sourav doesn't call her to come to work. Who, other than Bhaiya, should manage her children? His wife? Who can't even manager her one kid?

And Sonakshi, for once speak up for your husband. Tell Sourav that he just said that Ronita can't manage Mishti alone, then how dare he criticize Bhaiya who is managing three children? How dare he?

But then I am expecting you to stand up for the man who is standing up for you against the world. How will you be like the great Asha, if you don't take your husband for granted?

Bhaiya is in principal's office.

The principal says: Mr. Dixit, you wanted change in the curriculum and the teaching method. We did everything you asked for. But what can I do if your children aren't being able to adapt?

Bhaiya: What do you mean they can't adapt?

Principal: We took their surprise test and Golu and Suhaana got the lowest score. They are both capable. So we can't accept this from them.

Bhaiya is shocked.

Me: What about the other kids, principal? Are they being able to adapt? I am not sure if you are trying to imply that the whole class can't adapt or only these two.

Bhaiya: But I am sure there must be some reason. Otherwise this won't have happened.

Principal: There is a reason. Their class teacher had been complaining about them since a month now. They are both not participating in anything in the class. And that's why I called you.

Bhaiya looks at them and they hang their head.

Bhaiya asks: Kids, is he speaking the truth?

Principal: You talk to them. Because you made all these changes and if your own kids don't benefit from it, then what's the use?

Bhaiya: Yes, sir. I understand. Thank you.

Me: Again, how are the other kids performing? Are all of them doing poorly or just these two. Because if it's just this two, then the problem is them, not the change.

Bhaiya brings them home and says: You heard what the principal said. Why aren't you paying attention to your studies? Do you have something to tell me?

Ishwari comes there.

Bhaiya: If there's no reason, then why is it happening? Go and finish your homework.

The kids leave.

Ishwari shakes her head.

Bhaiya thinks.

At night, Bhaiya is reading a book. Sonakshi comes home.

Bhaiya: It looks like the whole stuff was on vacation today.

Sonakshi: No, it's just I had to make a branding presentation.

Bhaiya: Really, and that's why you didn't come to school?

Sonakshi: I was about to go out after your call but I had a little fight with Dada.

Bhaiya: What? Fight?

Sonakshi: Fight as in I forgot that today was Dada and Ronita's anniversary. That's why he was a bit angry.

Bhaiya: I didn't wish them either.

Sonakshi: It's okay. We will plan a surprise treat for them.

Bhaiya: And a gift too.

Sonakshi asks: Why did they call us to school? To discuss about the curriculum?
Bhaiya: No, to discuss our kids.

Sonakshi: Means?

Bhaiya: Means something bad happened today.

Sonakshi: Dev, no one is happy with our decision.

Me: Wait, what? Sonakshi, without even finding out what happened, suddenly that one sentence made you question Bhaiya's parenting capabilities? Pray tell, in alternate decision situation, how will your useless brother manage the company and then go have romantic anniversary dinner with his wife? And who the hell cares who is happy or not happy with your decision as long as you are happy with it?

You have such a weak personality that anyone can say anything and you instantly turn against Bhaiya. What the eff?

Your first instinct is to blame him, not to defend him or stand by him. I don't even know if you love him or the idea of him as perceived by someone else.

When people praise him, you dance around being proud and feeling lucky. When people criticize him for the same reason, suddenly he loses his value in your eyes.

You love him based on other people's validation of him. If others don't put their approval on him, he has zero value for you.

Elena, Vicky and Ishwari come there.

Bhaiya says: Why are you standing by the door? Come in.

Ishwari says: Dev, what is this? When were you going to tell us about Golu and Soha? So much things have happened and...

Bhaiya: Maa, it's nothing like that. They had a surprise test where they scored low. That's it.

Vicky, Elena and Sona look at each other.

Bhaiya: What? Why are you behaving as if something very wrong has happened?

Elena: Bhai, I know you are fulfilling your responsibilities just fine. In fact, you are taking very good care of the children. You even transformed their whole school. But I want to share this responsibility with you. We want to help you.

Vicky: Yes, you do everything perfectly. But if you take help from someone, it doesn't mean you will become anything less. I mean all I am saying is if we can help...

Bhaiya: You also think I can't take care of my responsibilities.

Bhaiya: Vicky, come on. Don't you trust your brother even this much?

Ishwari: It's not a matter of trust. We are a family. And in a family, we should share the responsibilities so that kids can get maximum attention.

Bhaiya: Maa, you are worrying too much. This was a surprise test in which they scored less. They didn't score less in final exam. Now you guys have given me opportunity to show what I can do. But stop judging me constantly.

Me: That is precisely my point. They didn't come to offer help, they came to criticize, judge and gloat. If they really wanted to help, then they could have taken the kids to school or pick them up, attend the teacher's meeting instead of Bhaiya, or helped him prepare the kids for school or help them with homework. Why did they need permission to take up chores and help?

When Sonakshi says that she will drop the kids to school, Bhaiya doesn't refuse her help.

But these people came with a judgemental tone and body language which no self-respecting person will accept.

Sonakshi: Maa, Dev is right. We are getting worried because we are worried for the kids. And Elena, you tell me. Didn't you ever make any mistake with Golu? I also made mistakes with Soha. Like we got a chance, Dev should get one chance too. Just because we are mothers, it doesn't mean whatever we do is right always.

She leaves.

Bhaiya smiles proudly.

Me: Good job, Sonakshi. Finally you stood up for Bhaiya. I just wish you also stood by him before and not try to justify your decision based on other's opinion.

Bhaiya says: Maa, why are you worrying so much? I told you naa, I will manage everything.

Ishwari looks doubtful.

Vicky and Elena also don't believe him.

Me: Tell you what, Vicky and Elena, you guys take over Golu's upbringing. From now on he is your responsibility. You wanted to help? There you go.

And Ishwari, you wanted to make all decisions for Shubh? From tomorrow, he is your responsibility. There you go. You are also being helpful.

Bhaiya can manage Suhaana just fine on his own.

Would you do it though? You are the first person to crucify but the last to lend a helping hand without judgement.

If that is family, then I don't know what I have.

PRECAP: Sona and Bhaiya share responsibility.

Sona said: I will prepare Soha because her plaits should not be mismatch.

Bhaiya: And I will prepare Golu because he doesn't have plaits.

Sona: I will teach them Science. The rest is yours.

Bhaiya: Everything else is me?

Sona: I was just kidding.

Bhaiya leans forward and says: The subject I am best at, it's time to teach that.

Sonakshi wonders: Which one?

Bhaiya says: Now's the chance to teach it.

Me: Looks like tonight a lot of minds will be very active in gutterland. Bhaiya is applying smouldering glances at Sonakshi.

NO RULES!!! YAY!!!

  1. Actually the kid does not look like either of them.

  2. Blue Whale is very prevalent in India these days. Even parental lock is not helping apparently.

    1. I totally agree that the Blue whale game is not only dangerous but is also making kids do crazy things. Heck when they released a simple game like Pokémon go, it drove people crazy. A number of people died playing that game. What happened was that the Pokémon would be in unlikely places like edge of terrace or middle of road and quite a number of kids followed the clues and ended up getting killed. They failed to see that they were walking to the middle of the street or to the edge of the terrace.

In Soha’s birthday track I think it was told that she turned 8 yrs old. Then Sona had Shubh and he is like 5 months now. So my guess is that they are trying to say that Golu and Suhana are like 9 yrs old. And at this age they can fall into these traps. There is also a game called choking game which is circulated on internet.

The makers of these games are not good people. They mask what they are doing and give fancy names to the games. Only after you download and start playing you will know the true intent of the game. By the time parents find out about it, sometimes it is too late.

A few years before a fad started with kids wearing rubber bands which had shapes. It started as simple thing where the kid wore a couple of the rubber bands shaped like animals or things like crown, rainbow etc. but pretty soon it became an obsession so much so that kids were focused only on that. There were also fights and thefts in schools leading to disciplinary actions. After a few months of madness where some schools even had to call police because the kids were out of control and were badly hurt, it was banned from schools. It took like 2 - 3 months for kids to come back to normal and start paying attention to studies. This happened in elementary schools where the kids were as young as 5 yr old.

    2. What is Blue Whale? However, Pokemon go is a good point. Say, there are kids vandalizing properties and stealing things. How is it even possible that no one noticed?

Who is cleaning up the evidences?

A whole school worth of kids are doing it, but there's no evidence?

Besides what will the company gain by making kids do stuff like that? It will only bring them bad publicity.

Just like when people died by playing Pokemon go, brought bad publicity for the company.

Now the company might be fraud and funding their pockets by using innocent kids. But in that case, they will ask them to get their parents' credit card. Why will they ask them to steal money?

That's what isn't making sense to me.

    3. Tia, this is from Wikipedia—

The Blue Whale Game (Russian: Синий кит, translit. Siniy kit), also known as "Blue Whale Challenge", is a 21st-century social network phenomenon that is claimed to exist in several countries, beginning in 2016. The game reportedly consists of a series of tasks assigned to players by administrators over a 50-day period, with the final challenge requiring the player to commit suicide.[1][2].

We have sports like boxing and X - games where a person has to train, and follow the rules and pay attention to safety. But there are also underground tournaments of these games where there are no rules, no attention is paid to safety. People do go to view those and the makers usually have betting going on on these players. This is also like that. The makers usually have a betting going on as to which player will do the stupidest thing etc. They don’t really care about what happens to players. They are also people who are sadistic like the Don and gangs kind of people.

They just say things like you need to steal, but don’t say from whom. So the kids might steal from home and parents will not come to school and ask. They will say deface a public building, but don’t say which one. Golu might be the only one doing it in school. The other kids might do it elsewhere and it might not even be spray paint. It can also be a video of them peeing on a public building. And kids get enticed very easily into these games as it seems innocent and fun to begin with. Before they realize that it is wrong, they would have gone so far into the trap that they won’t be able to backtrack. The makers usually promise bragging rights along with some championship title.

    4. How is it possible you do not know about the blue whale game and yet continue to call the plot illogical if it actually is happening in real life. Maybe be less ignorant and pay more attention to the news then you would be able to understand how big the issue is.

    6. Mr. Ram Sheshadri, I did read up on it after Shaavi mentioned it. You see, I have excellent reading skills. May be had you bothered to read up on it too before went trolling and thus exposing your own ignorance, you'd have known three things that makes this plot illogical.

      1. The incidents were isolated and didn't happen in masses in one school. Had it been the case then all the thefts and vandalisms would have been in a large scale and been exposed sooner rather than later. Logic, you see. One graffiti, not so visible. Five graffiti on the wall are more glaring.

      2. All incidents reported were done by teenagers over the age of 14, not a single child under 10. Why? Because they don't have free access to internet as much as teenagers. They can't download games willy nilly nor they are allowed to bring smartphones to school to openly play a game without any teacher absconding the phones and informing the parents. And you question the logic in the plot?

      3. A teenager with more freedom of movement might be able to obtain a spray paint can. But a 9 year old who is picked up and dropped to school can't obtain it overnight. He ain't got a genie in the bottle.

So yes, this track, regardless of the actual incident is illogical. May be next time you should be a lot less ignorant and read the FULL news before challenging me on logic.

    7. And Ms. Tia if you were to understand that what they are showing here is raising an awareness for parents to understand that kids of ANY age can easily be susceptible to these types of dangerous games, then you wouldn't be arguing with me as to how illogical the show is. Maybe in your comforts in Canada you are not understanding that India is a whole lot unsafer than Canada is but try reading up on the issues in India more often so you can grasp the gravity of the situation. And what they are showing in the plot is that these children are all playing the game but Golu was the isolated one from the bunch targeted. If you were to understand that, then maybe you would understand how Blue Whale actually works.

      Delete
    8. And for your kind information, if you did do some proper research then you would see that 10 year olds and 11 year olds have also been taking part in such a game so I have no idea what type of research you claimed to do when you said only 14+ year olds kids were the only ones who were taking part in the game.

      Delete
    9. As I said Mr. Sheshadri, do your research first. There was not a single kid under 10 fell victim of this. If you have the source where you read otherwise, feel free to cite it. Secondly, if they want to raise awareness, it should be applied to proper circumstances. They can raise awareness on dowry victims, but Soha at her age can't possibly be one. So if they show it, I will call that illogical and not bringing awareness to a cause.

As I said, the whole school playing a dangerous games and no one is noticing mass vandalism is ILLOGICAL plot. If they want to hit every social cause under the planet, they have to bring the proper contest.

But I did notice, no where you had an explanation on the loopholes I pointed out. Where does a 9 year old who is picked up and dropped at school gets access to a spray paint can? Do you have answer to that?

How did no one noticed multiple graffiti being made in school? Do you have answer to that?

Which school even in India at that age allows students to bring smartphones to school? Let alone play with it openly without being detected and punished? Do you have answer to that?

They could have picked bullying on looks, weight or other issues kids even that age face. That would have highlighted social pressure and isolation too AND would have been logical.

This is NOT logical which is exactly what I said.

    1. Yeah my feelings exactly. I've stopped watching. It looks like a cartoon show. So bizarre. I just watch shubh dats it.

    2. Trust me. My patience is gone too. But a lot of people are relying on my update to enjoy the episodes. So I will write until the show ends. But as I said, I am busy in buying house and also injured myself. So the updates are coming late.

  4. Tia, Golu didn’t steal in school. He was trying to use spray paint and write something on the wall. And that is not acceptable. Suhana catches him with a spray paint bottle in his hands and him trying to write on the wall.

  5. I agree with you Tia. The makers have come up with such a illogical plot. It does not make any sense anymore.

Why do parents have to buy smart phones for such small kids. They have not even shown that the kids are using their parents phone or something like that. Each kid has their own smart phone.

What kind of school is this where every kid is sitting & openly playing games. May be in some ordinary schools in India something like this might have happened .. but such kind of things do not happen in the most reputed schools. Dev Dixit & Sonakshi Bose's kids must obviously be going to the best international school in Delhi. Is this really the best school in Delhi ?

Haven't they shown only a few months ago that the teacher takes away Golu's phone when Dev sends the phone with him & she also scolds Dev and asks him to pay fine ?

Why does the principle always call Dev & Sona but never calls Vicky Elena. Today shouldn't the principal have called Vicky Elena to discuss about Golu ?

How come the parents are clueless about what games/apps the kids have downloaded?

Doesn't it require credit card to buy(download) these kind of games/apps? Who gave them the credit card to buy it?

One more thing I don't understand is why is Dev trying to do so many things instead of just taking care of Suhana & Shubh ? Why is he cooking, doing samaj seva etc ? And why is he taking Golu's responsibility especially when Elena & Vicky have taunted him so many times both in season 1 & 2 that he has spoiled Golu.

What exactly are the makers trying to show here ? That Dev cannot handle kids ? Or are they trying to show role reversal is a bad idea ? Or are they trying to show that Ishwari & Asha are correct ?

    Such a bad execution.

    1. Thanks hun. That's exactly my point. The makers want to hit all social issues but they have to see if they apply here.

This is what I wrote too. Read my response above who challenged my so-called ignorance of blue whale game which didn't happen in North America by the way to the logic of the plot. But he didn't bother reading up that every single incidents reported targeted only teenagers. There were no child under 10 who were targeted simply because they don't get as much access to internet as teenagers who are on the internet all the time.

And as you rightly pointed out, the same teacher took away Golu's phone when he tried to connect Soha and Bhaiya. And now the same teachers don't notice so many kids with cellphone playing games?

CVs want to target a social issue? Fine. But target in the right sense.

If today they show Soha as a victim of dowry, then it will be illogical. The issue is not illogical but the application is. Soha is too young to marry, her parents don't believe in child marriage, ergo, she can't possibly be victim of dowry. Plain and simple.

Had they shown a leap where Golu and Soha are teenagers, as I wrote in my post, it would have been believable.

Besides the reason it was not caught was because they were isolated incidents. A mass theft or mass vandalism are more easily detected. But they showed an entire school of kids are playing it, yet no one noticed. How is that possible? They all crossed the same damn levels. In fact they are ahead of Golu. So before Golu got addicted, they should have been caught already.

And where the eff a child gets a spray paint can overnight? No really. Tell me. I won't be surprised now if they show Golu is challenged to speed on the highway and he gets a Ferrari overnight to complete it. I mean if they show this, then why not a 9 year old driving a luxury sports car? Anything is possible in KRPKAB land.

    2. Very well said Tia.

      Agree with everything you said.

And yes like you said if Golu and Suhana were teenagers this would have made sense. But after 7 yr leap when Suhana came to Delhi she was 6.3 yr old. And when they celebrated her birthday she was 7 (even though many times on KRPKAB they mention the 'running' age instead of completed age). So by that logic she must be max 8 yr old now and Golu who is younger might be 7.5 yr old. It is ridiculous that such small kids have their own smart phone. I have seen kids playing with their parents smart phones. But how come all the kids have their own smart phone.

And even if we say that kids are playing at school during lunch break, when so many kids are playing, it will somehow reach the teachers immediately. Some or the other staff will be around all the time. Or some or the other kid will go and complain. Every time when Golu had fight, or when he had pushed Suhana, some or the other teacher ended up knowing about it.

    3. Precisely my point and I absolutely agree.

  6. Tia, how much ever we justify all this. The execution is just plain bad. This compulsive urge they have to turn bhaiya into some kind of superman is very bollywood. That's where it takes away the reality.

    1. Exactly. CVs want to hit every social issues on the planet whether it applies to the situation or not but they are not even doing justice to one. Instead every social issues are being turned into mockery like the infertility track before.

    2. I can see some ppl are he'll bent on justifying the makers. I am all for good creative creations. But a show which is just there so that fans of a certain actor can see him on screen is unhealthy in my opinion. Krpkab is just now, thats what every character except for dev just pales in compararison.

  7. It has become such a boring show now. It is now a 5 minute show for me as my fingers keep fwding all those scenes where Shubh is not there in the frame.

  8. Tia, if a child wants to hide something, then it is not easily possible for the parents to find that out, let alone a teacher. They are given a responsibility of 20 - 25 kids and they cannot keep eye on every kid every single minute.

Last year when my daughter was in day care. She went there after school as she was in 1st grade. She had long hair and one day she and her friend decided to play hair salon game. For that my daughter’s friend took scissors and cut some of my daughters hair. After a couple of cuts my daughter got cold feet and told her no. The teacher found out about this only because she found the hair in trash can. If she had not seen it then she wouldn’t have known at all. And this is in U. S.

Kids are curious and need proper attention and guidance. Even though I am sitting like 5 ft away from my daughter, there are times I cannot stop her from getting hurt. Here what Golu or the other kids are doing is hidden from teacher. Earlier she confiscated the phone because she knew Golu had brought it. My guess is the kids are bringing the phone but don’t take it out in class. But do so during recess or lunch time when there is no adult supervision.

There was also an incident when my son was in 7 - 8 grade. One of his classmate had whose parents gifted him Apple Watch at that age. He decided to wear it to exam. The rule is that kids cannot take smartphones to exams. The teacher didn’t know that he was wearing not just a watch but smart phone. He got caught only because he was texting sitting in exam hall. But he could have very easily used that to cheat on his exams.

Kids are very malleable and get carried away easily. And the age when they get into these kind of things is decreasing. Parents who are tired and stressed give phones and tablets to take a break. Kids find themselves with no one to pay attention and just end up doing these kind of things. Things have changed a lot and it is considered a miracle if your child is polite and listens to you when he is a teenager. And that is what the makers are trying to show. That kids should not be treated as a burden but should be taken care of as a responsibility.

    1. Omg shaadi. I understand ur point, but I think ur getting a bit carried away defending. My mom 's a teacher and she works in a school where the most unruly student study. But whatever incidents happen it always somehow reaches the teachers also. Also like u said if kids want to hide they can hide but golu even with his total disregard to rules is not that intelligent. The makers intention 's good but the execution is what that makes a script stand out. Even fan movie was a well intended movie, but the execution sacked. They need to pump up the script, stop pandering to the Dev's ego. That's where the script falls flat. And trust me u told that these things happen to kids of negligent parents, Sona by definition is a doting mother to both. I cannot understand how it escapes her eye. Anything to make bhaiya the hero.

    2. Shaadi,

Kids of entrepreneur dev Dixit must be studying in some elite school where every kid will be given individual attention. They cannot pull it out here. If they had showed a middle class background I would have agreed.

      Delete
  9. Milly, even in an elite school, the ratio is usually 1:8. It is not one on one every single minute. For that it would have to be a private tutor at home or like how Ranveer taught Neha. Here it is shown that there were around 15 - 20 kids in the classroom for the teacher to handle. More than defending the teachers, I am just saying that the parents also have a responsibility. Why should a parent buy their 9yr old a smartphone with data plan. And not monitor it’s usage.

All I am saying is here parents are equally responsible for what the kids are doing if not more. Why don’t the parents check their kids backpacks before and after the school. Why not spend time with kids talking to them about their day, helping with homework etc. that is all I was trying to say.

    1. Shaavi, for sure it's the parents' responsibility to check on the kids and also I agree that the teachers can't keep an eye on each and every kids.

      But let's face it,

Golu used spray paint to vandalise as a task. The first question is how he got it? This is not a household item. You have to buy it. He can't buy online without a credit card.

Secondly, the task he is doing now, others had done before. Kids that age can only vandalise two places - home and school. If they vandalised home, the parents will catch them. If they vandalised school and more than one had done it, it's pretty glaringly visible for even low staffed school. Besides, elite schools have security cameras. So had there been vandalism, kids would have been caught unless they have the brains to also cleaning up evidences afterwards.

I am not saying that this situation is not logical. Obviously it happened to vulnerable teenagers. But I am saying that this situation can't go undetected for so long particularly with kids that age who don't have freedom to go out alone and carry out crimes elsewhere.

As I said, dowry is a big problem. But it's illogical in Soha's age. This case is a problem. But not applicable to Golu's age. Had they shown a leap and shown Golu as a teen who has more freedom of movement and less under parental supervision, then yes. I'd have said that it was logical.
