The Curious Case of Illogical Plot!!!

It's going to be another busy day!!! Will update when I can... All last week's episodes have been updated!!!

Feel free to discuss the episode here. I will update everything by tonight.

EPISODE: The episode starts with Golu and Soha are studying. But Golu takes out a tablet.

Me: Yes, the phone has now transformed itself into a tablet. Either that or Golu went for another stealing spree.

Soha snatches it for him: Golu, what are you doing?

Golu: I was just checking.

Soha hides it again under the blanket: You had been doing it for a while now. When will you study?

Golu: Then what can I do? I got new challenge so I have to do it naa.

Soha: I had said it before to let Mamma Papa know. They should have solutions to this.

Golu: No one can have solution to this, Soha. If I tell them, then I will get scolded very much for studies. This is the last challenge. Then it's finished.

Soha: Golu, if the challenge is very difficult, then what will we do?

Golu: We have to complete this challenge. Stop talking crazy.

Soha: Yes, but if we can't complete. Then?

Golu: Then it will be very bad. I have heard that the kids from other classes didn't complete the challenge, so they got them failed in all subjects.

Soha: In all subjects?

Golu: Yes, in all subjects. Someone told this to another boy. And even he failed in everything.

Me: And this is where the illogical twist comes in.

Point no. 1.: There were other kids playing. So they all must have received the question paper. But only Golu topped the class. Why?

Point no. 2: If only Golu topped the class, then that means only he must fail if he doesn't complete the challenge. So he can't know in advance what will happen if he doesn't complete the challenge.

Point no. 3: If the kids have studied, then how can in a written test, the game admin make them fail in all subjects? This is not a test in computer where they can hack the result.

Ergo, this track is completely illogical.

Golu looks scared. Soha is getting out of the bed.

Golu stops her: Soha, don't tell about this to anyone.

Soha agrees and leaves.

Me: Ummm... by Golu's logic, shouldn't Soha fail in all subjects now since he told her about this game? But since she is studying so hard, how will the game admin manage that feat barring putting a gun on the teacher's head?

However, correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Sonakshi and Bhaiya divided the subjects between them to teach the kids? Then why aren't they ever around when these kids study?

Soha comes to the dining table where Sonakshi is standing.

They sit on the table.

Soha asks: Mamma, what happened?

Sonakshi: You know naa that good children don't hide anything from their Mamma?

Soha: Yes, Mamma. I know.

Sonakshi: Then you must also know that you can share anything with me.

Soha: Yes Mamma.

Sonakshi: Then why am I feeling that you are hiding something from me? You are not saying anything. Are you scared that Mummy will get very angry and that's why you aren't saying anything?

Soha feels guilty. But thinks about what Golu said.

She says: No Mamma, it's nothing.

Sonakshi: Are you sure? You are not lying naa.

Soha: No Mamma. I am not lying. I didn't hide anything from you.

Sonakshi doesn't quite believe her. But she doesn't say anything.

Soha thinks: Sorry Mamma. I can't tell you anything. Otherwise Golu will get stuck. And I don't want anyone hurting you and Papa.

Soha then excuses herself: Maa, I have to study.

She is about to walk away.

Sonakshi stops her: Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat? Shall I make you something?

Soha says: No Mamma. I am not hungry. If I feel hungry, I will eat something.

Sonakshi: Okay go.

Soha leaves.

Sonakshi is still worried.

Me: Sonakshi's mother's instinct is shrieking alarm bells. But like most women, she is trusting on the people she loves over her gut feeling.

I have seen this often that a lot of people don't put much stock on gut feeling. Be it women with lying husbands, parents with troubled kids or so on and so forth.

But a lot of time, our subconscious mind gives us a more clear signal to us about impending danger than actual danger.

Over time, I had experienced (and it's entirely my experience), that my gut instinct is never wrong. So now I put more stock on what my instincts say than I used to before.

Sonakshi should pay attention to her instinct as well since it becomes sharper when it comes to a woman's children.

At Bose house, Sourav hasn't come to his room yet.

Ronita is upset. She wants to go to bed.

Her mother comes there. She says: Ronita, I brought you Biriyani. I kept it separately for you.

Ronita is surprised: Kept it separately? Why?

Ronita's mother: Why? You work so hard. So you should have food naa. Come on.

Ronita: I don't work hard. I ate too much in the evening. So that's why I didn't have it. And why are you up so late?

Ronita's mother: My daughter didn't eat and I go to sleep? How is that possible? Have a little bit.

Ronita: Send Sourav naa.

Ronita's mother: He fell asleep.

Ronita: I was waiting for him and he fell asleep?

Ronita's mother: I told him to go to sleep with Sounita.

Me: Hain? And where is Sounita sleeping? I thought they ran out of room in that house, that's why Sonakshi's room had to be claimed back?

Asha comes there: You guys didn't go to bed yet?

Ronita's mother: I was just going to be. But this Biriyani...

Asha: Oh you were hungry? Why didn't you tell me?

Ronita's mother: No, this Biriyani is not for me. This is for Ronita.

Asha: For Ronita? Isn't it a bit spicy for her?

Ronita's mother: Why? Why can't she have it? This is home made. If she doesn't eat, then she will become weak. Ashaji, what my daughter should have, I know very well. You don't worry.

Asha says: Okay. Good night.

She leaves.

Ronita feels bad.

Ronita's mother: She talks over everything. Will you have it or not?

Ronita says: No.

Ronita's mother: Okay, fine.

She puts the food down and forcefully makes Ronita sit on the floor to put oil in her hair.

Ronita thinks: If Maa continues like this, then everyone will get irritated. I will have to take care of Sourav. Maa has been bothering him.

Me: Well, Ronita. What needs to happen here is that you and Sourav set a boundary. This is the same advice I had given to Bhaiya and Sonakshi back when Ishwari typhoon were wrecking havoc in their marriage.

The husband and wife needs to set a boundary which is for all family members (as in both sides) and it goes like this but in a more diplomatic and nicer language. But the message is the same.

1. We are adults.

2. We can take our own decisions.

3. Your job is not to take our decisions but to respect it.

4. If you can't respect our decision, that's fine. But please don't impose yours on us.

5. If even that is beyond you, then for the sake of a harmonious relationship, we will have to cut back our time with you.

Elena is showing her photoshoot's pictures to Radha.

Sonakshi comes there.

Elena asks her to join them.

Radha is very impressed. She is praising Elena's work.

Sonakshi is still standing.

She asks: Elena, did you feel anything odd in Golu's behaviour?

Me: You are asking this question to the wrong person. Elena will probably need a minute or two to remember who is Golu. Better ask someone who actually notices him.

Hint: They are not Elena or Vicky.

Radha: Yes, I felt something odd like.

Elena: What happened Mummyji?

Radha: That day he ate four Parathas with Aloo Matar.

Elena starts laughing.

Radha: Why are you laughing?

Elena: Is it odd? That's normal.

Sonakshi: No. Not that. Anything else other than this?

Elena: If you have anything to ask about Golu, then ask Dev Bhai. He knows about Golu better than me.

She and Radha go back to their pictures.

Me: See? What did I say? Elena and Vicky have no clue nor any parental instinct. They are hardly parents anyway. No one becomes parent by just doing the biological act.

She says: It took me two hours to click this.

Radha: Two hours? You could have told me. I'd have done it in two minutes.

Elena says jokingly: Okay, Mummyji. Next time.

Me: For Radha, photography is equivalent to instant noodles. Lol...

Elena asks Sonakshi who is still standing awkwardly: Sona, you were saying something about Golu. Did he do anything?

Sonakshi says: No no. I was just asking. That picture of yours is better than the one which took you two hours.

Elena says: Humm... Because I am an expert in this field.

Radha: Oh my. Even picture has sounds.

Me: Hain? What does it even mean?

Next morning, Bhaiya and Sonakshi are having breakfast with the kids.

Sonakshi asks: Does anyone else want more Poha?

Soha says: No, Mamma.

Bhaiya asks: How's your studies are going? Are you enjoying studying in the new way?

Soha said: Yes, Papa. We are studying and also getting good grades.

Golu: BigCha, I am having fun studying in the new way. I am going to get my bag.

Bhaiya: Wait. Finish your breakfast first.

Golu: That's enough. I don't want to eat anymore.

Bhaiya feels something is not right.

Me: Bhaiya has better parental instinct for his nephew than his own mother.

Golu is about to leave when his cell phone rings in his bag.

Bhaiya: One second, Golu. You have phone with you. Give me your phone.

Golu gets scared.

Soha tries to save her brother: Papa, when will we have Quiz Time again? Didn't you say that we will do it today.

But Bhaiya doesn't get diverted: One second, Soha.

Golu hands over his phone to Bhaiya.

Me: And yes, the phone has transformed into phone again.

Bhaiya asks: Where did you get your phone? I took it from you naa.

Sonakshi: Dev, you have hidden all the phones.

Bhaiya: Yes, I did it. But he took it out without telling anyone.

Me: Bhaiya, if you truly wanted people to not use cell phone, why didn't you disconnect the phone plans and change the password to the Wi-Fi? Without a plan and access to internet, how would anyone use a phone? In fact, in that case, phone becomes useless except to play offline games which this game is not.

Soha says: Papa, I didn't take anything.

Sonakshi: But you knew naa that Golu has a phone?

Golu and Soha look at each other.

Bhaiya: And that's why she was trying to save him. If you two needed phone, then you could have told me. What was the need to take it out without asking us?

Golu and Soha don't respond.

But Bhaiya's antenna is running in high frequency right now. He is catching body language and expression too: Wait. I think they are still hiding something. What else have you done? Did you also ssteal the money?

The kids are silent.

Bhaiya: Golu, I am asking something. What did you need money and cell phone?

Golu looks at Sonakshi. She encourages him to talk.

Golu: I stole the money, BigCha. And also the cell phone.

Ishwari comes there and gets shocked to hear this.

Bhaiya gets worried seeing her.

Ishwari: They didn't leave for school yet?

Sonakshi says: We are leaving now.

Bhaiya: Maa, you got up so late today. Are you feeling well?

Ishwari says: Yes, I am fine.

Sonakshi whispers to Golu and Soha: This is not acceptable. We will talk about this tonight. Okay?

Me: The mother whisper which is equivalent to child is in trouble now but they will pay for this in private later.

Ishwari: Did the kids have their breakfast?

Sonakshi: Yes, Maa. You also have your breakfast.

Ishwari agrees.

At Bose house, Ronita's mother is making Sourav and Ronita clean the house as in making them wash the floor.

Both are tired and frustrated.

Ronita: My waist is aching.

Sourav says: Today I realized how great my parents are. Maa's anger is so volatile that I have started to like clean spaces. I still continue to clean them.

Ronita stops him: Enough. In know she is a little hyper. But she is my mother  don't make fun of her as much.

Sourav: I am making fun of her or she is making fun of me?

Ronita glares at him...

Sourav backtracks fast: No no. I was just saying that we are just cleaning. There is nothing wrong in it.

Ronita: We are not doing someone else's chores. What do they care.

Me: I am not sure what's the big deal about doing chores in their own houses. I didn't like when Mrs. Mondol made Sourav ditch work for something that could have waited until the evening or on the weekend. Why did he had to clean now?

Just then Ronita's mother shouts for Sourav and tells him to do better job.

Sourav grumbles to Ronita despite her warning.

Ronita's mother says: Come down here. There are more dirt here as well.

Sourav and Ronita groan as they make their way downstairs.

Me: I still don't see the big deal in maintaining one's own home. However, Ronita's mother needs to also back up and give them space.

Vicky drops the kids to school.

Me: I thought Sonakshi was taking over this responsibility. Where did Vicky come from?

Right after Vicky leaves, Golu stops Soha from going inside and takes out his phone. Soha tries to stop him but he says that if they don't finish the last challenge, they will get punished like before and the game won't end either.

Soha says: Now what challenge?

Golu reads: We will have to find a swing.

Soha: How will we find it?

Golu says that he had seen a swing close by.

Soha: But no one lives there.

Golu: That's why my dear, that's the best place. Come with me.

He holds Soha's arm and pulls.

Soha: Golu, this is not safe. We are still young. We should not go to such places.

Golu emotionally blackmails: Soha, I don't want to do this either. But we have no other option. And what's it to you? You won't come with me. I am not your brother, no?

Soha: Golu, don't say that. You are my brother and I will come with you. But we have to finish this game soon.

Golu: I also want to finish this game. But if we don't complete the challenge, then our family may get hurt. You don't worry. I am with you naa? Come on.

Me: Where the eff is the guard now? Two kids didn't enter the school and walked out. But Mr. Guard is nowhere to be found. Yet when two kids tried to sneak in late, he threw in school policies and what not. What is the school's policy regarding children sneaking out after their parents drop them off?

They stand in a playground in front of swings.

Golu: Look, this is what I was telling you about.

Not sure what Soha said. The words sounded muffled. May be she asked what is the challenge.

Golu: I have to swing hard on them so that I fall on my face.

Soha: Have you gone mad? You will get hurt on your face.

Me: Yes. And I have the same doubt.

It's hard to tell if Golu is masochist and enjoying the game or Golu is trapped in the game.

Because looking at a child's perspective, he has shown only obsession with the game and not fear or horror.

No child that age will casually say that his task is to fall flat on his face and getting injured. He is 9 years old for heaven's sake. But there's absolutely no terror or horror in him about being hurt. Instead he is blackmailing Soha and lying to her to get her involved.

Either Golu really cares for his family and fears for their life and that's why he is playing that game. In which case, he won't have involved Soha in this either because he will be afraid for her.

Or Golu, a 9 years old child is actually a masochist who is enjoying this thrill.

Again, more applicable to a teenager's angsty psyche than a little boy.

Golu: I have no choice. If I don't do this task, then anything can happen to BigCha and our family. And we also have to end this game naa. Hold this phone. Record this in it.

He takes off his backpack and gets on the swing.

Golu swings hard and asks Soha to take the video.

She is apprehensive but takes the video.

Me: Again, a child who is terrified that he has no choice, will either go alone and risk himself for his family or will go tell his parents because for a child that age, his parents are the superhero who can fix anything.

They won't a. blackmail member of the same family to get involved in this whom they are claiming to protect and b. finishing the game will be the last thing on their mind.

Same goes for Soha.

She is claiming that she wants to protect her family and Golu. But now she knows that Golu's task is going to harm him. Yet, instead of going straight to her parents, she is recording her brother planning an injury.

She was protecting Golu from her parents from whom he really needs to protection. Why won't she protect Golu against those people who are telling him to harm himself?

Doesn't fit a normal 9 years old psyche. Particularly Soha who is very mature for her age.

Anyhoo, Soha notices that the swing is not solid on the ground. As Golu swings it keeps moving.

Soha warns Golu about that and says: Golu, you will fall.

Me: But that's what Golu said the task was. She didn't stop him from getting into the swing with the intention to fall on his face and now warning him that he will fall? Do CVs even see the exact scene before writing the next scene?

At Bose house, Ronita's mom is making Mishti fall asleep. Ronita and Sourav comes there.

Ronita's mother says: What are you doing here? See how much dirt in that corner. Go and clean it up.

Ronita protests but she sends her away.

Sourav doesn't move from there.

Ronita's mother asks: What are you doing here? Go and help her.

Sourav says: My company...

Ronita's mother says: Go give her company.

So Sourav also goes.

Ronita's mother tells Mishti: Your parents are so lazy.

She makes them clean the whole house.

Me: Good. Yes, these two are lazy. That's why they have time to lecture Sonakshi and Bhaiya on their already busy life. Now they should see how easy to pass judgement and how difficult to juggle multiple priorities. I like this track.

The swing is making loud noise as Golu swings. Bijoy was passing through there and sees them.

Bijoy: What are Golu and Soha doing at old park?

He calls out their names.

Golu and Soha get scared and they run away.

Bijoy was coming to them but his bag falls down. By the time he picks it up, Golu and Soha have disappeared.

He keeps calling them but they hide.

Golu says: Now everyone will find out at home. I shall not have used this park.

Soha: Yes, we made a big mistake. We will get big scolding.

Me: Wait. What? So actually two 9 years old were not afraid for this unknown gamer who had been making them commit crimes and harm themselves. They weren't scared when this unknown game could not be deleted from the phone. But they are scared of being scolded by their parents who they know and love and who love them too.

Again, their fear makes no sense.

For any other kids, they will feel relieved that now their parents can help them.

Bijoy calls Bhaiya: Hello Dev. Please come to the officer's colony park. I saw Golu and Soha here. Yes, come soon.
Soha and Golu look at each other.

Soha: Golu, what if Papa finds out?

Golu also gets scared.

Me: Mind you, he wasn't scared to deliberately injure his face. But Bhaiya finding out scares him.

Bijoy wonder: What were they doing here?

Golu says: If BigCha comes here, he will find us. Let's run from here before he comes here.

Me: When Bhaiya found out that Golu stole a phone, why didn't he take his phone away then? Why let him take it to school? Isn't it like rewarding him for stealing?

At Bose house, Ronita's mother tells Mishti: See how hard your parents are working.

Ronita says: Maa, you didn't take her out to the sun?

Sourav says: Huh?

Ronita signals him: Sunbathing...

Sourav gets the hint and says: Yes, yes, yes.

Ronita's mother: Really? You got it today? I had been saying it for so long. I will do one thing. Mishti and I are going out to soak up the sun. You two continue. This is very dirty.

They agree until she leaves. Then Sourav slams the wipe.

They both sit down.

Sourav: I don't want to do anything.

Ronita: I hardly wanted to do anything either.

Then she says: Hi-five.

Sourav does nothing.

Ronita: At least I send her... Thankless...

Sourav taunts: She was your mother.

Ronita points a finger at him.

They both lie down on the couch.

Ronita says: Sourav, let's eat something. I am hungry.

Sourav: You are right. Let's go make something.

Later, they just decide to have Rasgulla (Bengali sweets).

Ronita says: The Rasgulla was delicious.

Sourav says: I enjoyed it. Wow.

Then Sourav starts crying: I am scared.

Ronita asks: Why?

Sourav: How will I work after eating so much? Your mother will come back and make us work...

Ronita says: Don't worry. I will take care of it. I will call Maa and give her an address of a park far away. We can kill half an hour like that.

Sourav thanks her excitedly.

Me: What I don't understand why none of these two people have guts to stand up to her? I mean when it comes to lecturing Sonakshi about work-life balance or Bhaiya on his responsibilities, they don't feel any hesitance to open their obviously unqualified mouth.

Bhaiya comes to the park Bijoy told him about.

Soha says: Now even Papa is here.

Bhaiya asks Bijoy: Baba, where are the kids?

Bijoy: Beta, they were here. Golu was swinging on the swing so hard that he could have fallen. When I came here, they disappeared.

Bhaiya: They must be here. Let's look for them.

Bijoy: You look there, I will look here.

Bhaiya: Okay.

They look for the kids.

Golu: Let's complete the task and leave.

Soha: I am very scared, Golu.

Golu: I am also very scared, Soha. But I have to complete the task. Once they leave from here, we will complete the task.

Me: Nope nope nope. I can't connect this single minded obsession with 9 years old kids. Specially since they don't have any psychological disorder or medical condition.

Bhaiya says to Bijoy: The kids are not here.

Bijoy: Then where are they? May be they saw me and got scared and ran home.
Bhaiya: I will call school. If they went back there, they will tell me.

Bijoy agrees.

Bhaiya calls the principal and asks him if the kids are there. He also tells him to inform him if they see Golu and Soha in school.

Bijoy: Wherever the kids are, they should be okay and safe.

Bhaiya: Let's go, Baba.

They leave.

In the meantime, Golu and Soha are running. Soha gets tired. She stops.

Soha says: Golu, we came too far. I am very scared.

Golu: This is the only chance to end the game. Once this is finished, we won't get scared at all.

Golu gets a message. He reads: Complete the challenge and update or you will get punished.

He looks at Soha scared and Soha is scared too

Me: Nope, this scare doesn't fit his earlier obsession with the game when he was dying to do a challenge that will hurt his face. Even teenagers will think twice before even executing this challenge. But Golu is less scared and more eager for it. He is more scared of his family finding out the truth that this unknown person.

Makes no sense at that age level or any age level unless that person is a loner and has psychotic episodes.

Everyone at Dixit house are shocked to hear what Bijoy said: Ishwari ji, I am not understanding what's going on here. How can this happen at your watch? You all should have paid attention.

Then he turns to Sonakshi: Sona beta, what is going on? They were playing outside means they didn't go to school. If I hadn't seen them then...

Ishwari says: Calm down. Look, Dev and Sonakshi are trying very hard to fulfill their responsibilities.

Bijoy: Yes, but there must have been something lacking in their effort or this won't have happened.

Ishwari: No, I disagree. Dev and Sona left no stone unturned in their effort.

Me: But Vicky and Elena didn't even turn a feather for their kid.

However, Bijoy, despite parents' efforts, kids get into trouble. So it's unfair to cast slur on their parenting. Their attention, yes. Not on their parenting. Since Shubh arrived, Bhaiya and Sona were fighting to get quality time with him while letting Soha hang out uninterrupted with Golu. This is not the first time Golu got into trouble and dragged Soha with him. But last time's incident didn't create enough impact for Bhaiya and Sonakshi stand up and take notice.

Mamaji: Look, there's no point fighting over this between us.

Bijoy: Ishwari ji, whatever I am saying is for the kids' good. You know what's going on around us. It doesn't take two minutes for the kids to get kidnapped.

Radha: Don't put such negative stuff in our head. Don't say that please.

Vicky: But I dropped them to school myself.

Bhaiya is on the call with someone saying: It's urgent. Please hurry.

Elena asks: Bhai, did you find them?

Bhaiya shakes his head.

Everyone gets worried.

Ishwari: No? Oh God, where are they?

Radha: I am so scared.

Everyone is worrying.

Bhaiya thinks: They are definitely hiding something from us.

Me: Duh, you think?

PRECAP: Golu and Soha are running. Bhaiya is looking for them.

Me: Bhaiya went home, came back, but they are still running.

Suddenly some goons notice them.

Soha shouts: Papa.

Bhaiya hears her voice.

Me: Tomorrow Bhaiya is action hero.

NO RULES!!! YAY!!!

  1. i am glad for the viewers who think that this is an eye opener plot but according to me it was just to kill time till sony gets its new show. i am glad that light is being thrown on such matters but it is such an illogical plot GIVING the FACT THAT THIS WAS A ROMANTIC STORY INiTIALLY that was to be dealt in a sensible way....i mean what the hell seriously happened... it makes me so annoyed

    1. Exactly. But CVs always do that. They forcefully bring a social issue whether it applies or not and then butcher it with illogical plots.

I mean why not do justice to one social issue before picking up another one in the correct context.

But nope. They will have to get greedy and dump too much spice in their hodge podge turning it indigestible for viewers.

  2. Tia, Golu belongs to those group of kids who give reasons like my dog ate my homework. :) He may not be smart in studies, but is smart in making up stories. He has seen how his papa and daadi (GKB) have been lying, cheating and stealing for the last 7 yrs. Before the series went off air, there was a track with Soha lying and learning to cheat on tests. That time too Golu made up stories like Dev used to cheat and lie when he was a kid. That time too Soha believed him.

When Golu went to Dev’s room to get his phone back, my guess is he nicked the whole stash and not just that one phone. In the bedroom he was shown to check the tablet under his blanket. He is scared as well as excited to play the game. He doesn’t want to stop it like he promised Soha. But doesn’t want to play by himself either. So he is telling that story about how other kids failed so that Soha continues to help him and keep his secret. He is depending on their relationship for her not to ask other kids about failing. And Soha is behaving exactly like how Sona believed Elena when the later told that she would break off the relationship with Vickky.

    1. That's also a possibility. Let's see how it pans out.

  3. Tia, Golu is Vickky’s son. He may have seen Dev, but he has also seen his papa Vickky for the last 9 yrs. He has seen his papa try very hard to be Dev, imitate him and say that he is no less than Dev all the time. Golu is no different. He wants to be well known without putting the right kind of effort. He sees Suhana who is studious, well liked by teachers in a good way. He also knows the way he is thought of by the same teachers. He wants to prove that he is no less than Suhana.

The right way would have been to show interest in studies and work hard. But that is unpalatable to him as it would mean that he has to put effort. The way his thought process works is, these challenges is thrilling as you said. It is fun compared to studying and education. He gets to do ‘daredevil’ act that he attributes to his bigcha like saying Dev is Superman, hulk etc. He is thinking that if he finishes the tasks, then he too will become winner and not be called loser by anyone, more than anything he will not feel like a loser in front of Suhana. He wants Suhans to praise him and say “you are very brave. How did you learn that. Please protect me always” etc. He wants Suhana to think of him as her equal.

More than getting trapped in the game, he is getting trapped in his own insecurity. Before Suhana came in Dev’s life, he had all of Dev’s attention. Then he had to share that with Soha. Now he is expected to share it with Shubh too. Along with that when Elena was taking him to be with Vickky, Dev didn’t stop him. Golu remembers that. He thinks he has to maintain that image of strong boy, the macho man type to remain in Dev’s life. And he is trying to prove himself through this game. His fear of losing that place in Dev’s life is much more than his fear of gamers. For him, he feels that his bigcha will protect him from gamers when the time comes.

A 9 yr old can do all the things they are showing. If Soha grew up before her age for a different reason, Golu grew up too before his time for a very different reason. What they are showing does happen. When my son was in kindergarten, there was a girl in his class. Not sure what made her fall for my son, but she started calling him her boyfriend. She was so possessive that she didn’t like him playing with other kids, even talking to them, especially he was not supposed to talk to other girls or even smile at them. For thanksgiving when they were asked to list the things they were thankful for, her first thing on the list was my son’s name. :). So I find what Golu is doing is very plausible.

The person I feel very bad here is Suhana. If she had grown up with Dev and Golu, she wouldn’t have been doing what she is doing now. But seeing how she got her papa with Golu’s help, she feels obligated and in a way responsible for him. Just like how Dev and Sonakshi feel responsible for Vickky and Elena. She doesn’t want Golu to get into trouble. She is reaching her wits end in trying to protect Golu. And I think that is what we saw in the precap.

    1. It's hard to believe Golu has that kind of Vicky like jealousy towards Soha. I have always found him to be a very protective and loving brother after initial phase of sibling rivalry.

Yes. Golu is lazy and doesn't do much effort. But he is still a child. When a child is threatened, they usually, after initial hesitation, approach their parents.

Soha is also watching her brother harming himself physically, but she is more afraid of her parents finding out vs. her brother getting injured. Even if we give Vicky's characteristics to Golu, Soha's actions still doesn't make sense since she herself threatened to tell her parents. So she should be happy if her parents find out without her breaking her promise. Because that way her parents can protect them.

It also doesn't make sense how they escaped from a heavily guarded school.

That little girl being possessive about your son is a cute incident though.

  4. Golu loves Suhana, but that doesn’t mean he is not jealous of her. Suhans has everything that Golu wants. When Sonakshi becomes pregnant, Golu is shown to ask his parents for a sibling. But then he is shown to retract that request saying my parents as it is don’t have much time for me. And if another baby comes, then that time also will be gone. He craves for the kind of love and attention that Soha gets. No matter how much love and care Dev and Sonakshi show, they are still not his biological parents. He wants what Soha has, what Shubh has. But he also doesn’t want to reveal how much he desires that “family” dynamics.

He has not seen his papa or mumma pay attention to him. Even when he asked them to. By revealing his desires, he doesn’t want to lose what he is getting from Dev and Sonakshi. Elena after seeing Dev and Sonakshi’s love story wanted a similar one for herself. Golu seeing a parents love and care for their children wants similar thing for himself.

Since his parents expected him to be independent so that they wouldn’t be bothered, he has now reached the stage where he is at. Where he has all these conflicting emotions but is not understanding all of them. Only one thing is set in his mind — that for no reason he should lose his place in Dev’s life.

Soha is behaving like how she always has. The protective big sister. She is now torn between the love for her one brother to her another brother. She on one hand is scared for Golu on the other for Shubh and her family. For her she has got her papa after such a long time. She doesn’t want to lose him or disappoint him for any reason. She is also thinking that if Golu finishes this one task, then the game will be completed and things can go back to how it was. She wants to tell her papa and mumma, but also fears approbation.

At this time both Soha and Golu are caught in their own fears and insecurities. But looks like tomorrow the cat will be out of the bag. :)

Thanks. It was cute for a couple of months, but then it became too much. Because she started expecting from my son. She would be unhappy if he was a few minutes late to school. She also started to dictate what my son should like and not like. After that my son started to hide from her which annoyed her and she acted out for some time. After that she turned her attention to another boy. :)

    1. Humm. Not sure if Golu is that complex. Well today will explain it all.

Good to know the little girl moved on to another boy. Unwanted obsession can be annoying at any age.

    2. Even I don't think makers think this deep while writing a character. Layered writing hardly exist on Indian TV. It's all hero worship and moments.
