In a world where fart jokes are funny and poop emoji is one of the most popular emojis, periods are taboo subject. #PADMAN is a story of a man who decided to put human beings before so-called taboos and superstitions... Kudos to Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna and of course the real padman Arunachalam Muruganatham for taking a bold step to break the stigma, the shame and the fake superstitions around the most natural part of a woman's life... KUDOS!!!

Home Grown Terrorism!!!

Before I write this post, I'd like to warn that this is a very controversial topic. But since this is what's going on in India, I'd like to share what it looks like to me. The whole world hates ISIS today. Why? They are terrorists. They don't believe in democracy. If anyone dares to speak against them, they issue death threats and carries them out. They don't want to listen to any opinion other than what they think is right.  Now let's take a look at so-called Rajput Karni Sena who is issuing violent threats left, right and centre. Do they believe in democracy? I don't think so.  How can any group issue open physical threat to another human being in a democratic country without being branded as terrorist? Tia's Thread - House of Cards!!!

This weekend was Toronto's Doors Open Weekend. Those of you who don't know what that is, it is two days every year when all historical buildings across the city open their door for general public to see the architecture, learn about what they do, ask questions about their history, their present day operations etc. I'd highly recommend this for all Toronto - nians or visiting tourists.  So that's what my husband and I did this weekend.  Somethings like art, historical landmarks, natural resources should remain unchanged and unspoiled. And somethings should just frigging upgrade.  This weekend was also a lesson in frustration because what I feared has happened.  Now Maata did change.
