UK Trip - Day 6

Today we are driving to Isle of Skye. We had breakfast and headed on our way to the next destination.

However, as we always do, we stopped a couple of time in different spots to admire the gorgeous landscapes.

Scotland is divided in two regions - Highlands or the mountains and Lowlands or the valley.

As we were driving on to the Highlands, the mountains rose majestically in front of us with all its glory. It was spellbinding.

As a person, I am deeply in love with the sea. I love everything about it. If anyone asks me whether I will pick sea or mountain, I will pick sea any day.

But the majestic beauty of the mountains in Scotland can't be denied. Covered in purple heathers and green velvet carpet of grass over craggy cliffs, the mountains of Scotland are a visual treat at every turn.

And being a historical place, there are scattered ruins and castles on the lake and in the mountains. They just add a certain richness to the area that is indescribable. You have to see it to believe it.

Bonus views are chubby sheeps and cattles grazing on the mountains. I totally wanted to pick a baby sheep to check if it's as fluffy as it looks. But my husband didn't let me.

Our first stop of the day was at Castle Stalker. My husband stopped at another castle before then. But I didn't get out for that.

Castle Stalker is also in the middle of an island. The view is stunning.

Afterwards we had our tea and scones at the cafe nearby and headed over to Glencoe.

Glencoe is absolutely spellbinding. Situated in the middle of giant mountains, waterfalls and wavy valleys where chubby and fluffy sheeps are grazing, it's straight out of a picture book landscape. We could have stayed there all day. But we had our destination to go to.

We were already too late to take the Ferry to Isle of Skye so we had to go to longer route and take the bridge instead. It added two hours to our driving time.

Our next stop was Fort William. We didn't have time to visit anything there. We just grabbed our lunch and left.

We drove through gorgeous landscapes of sparkling streams, rolling waves of seaside and mountain views all covered in lush greenery. You can't take your eyes off for a second or you will miss the beauty.

We finally reached Isle of Skye and already gorgeous landscapes turned even more stunning. But the sun was dipping low and we needed to have dinner and reach our accommodation for the night. So we grabbed dinner at Broadford and drove away while looking longingly at the stunning landscape that we could not capture at this point. But since we are here until Friday, I am sure we will come back here and take some pictures.

We reached our destination very late. So we just had a cup of tea and went to bed. Tomorrow is another day to explore the gorgeous Isle of Skye...
