Watched Padmavati today... Yes, I am calling this movie Padmavati because this movie is not about a place or poem. It's about an extremely courageous woman - Queen Padmavati. I am not a Rajput. But felt proud of this absolutely incredible woman and her story of heroism, courage and sacrifice... Then I looked at what Karni Sena is doing in the name of Rajput and felt ashamed on behalf of true Rajputs who never harmed or threatened women or children. I said it in my post, Home Grown Terror before and saying it again. Karni Sena group are no valiant warrior defending Rajput honour. They are cowards who threaten women and throw stones at children. This movie is clearly singing praises of Rajput honour and courage from beginning until end. But some people wanted to ban the movie before they had even seen the movie because someone somewhere said that this movie insults a legend which is laughable. Before I write this post, I'd like to warn that this is a very controversial topic. But since this is what's going on in India, I'd like to share what it looks like to me. The whole world hates ISIS today. Why? They are terrorists. They don't believe in democracy. If anyone dares to speak against them, they issue death threats and carries them out. They don't want to listen to any opinion other than what they think is right.  Now let's take a look at so-called Rajput Karni Sena who is issuing violent threats left, right and centre. Do they believe in democracy? I don't think so.  How can any group issue open physical threat to another human being in a democratic country without being branded as terrorist? Are they issuing death threats and physical violence against Indian citizens? Yes. Were they threatened first physically? No. Is it anyway justifiable? Hell no. Is that legal in India? Last few weeks, I had been very busy. As you know, I had been updating quite late. Today was the day it all came to a conclusion . Not sure if I should laugh or cry. Today, I found out that my ankle is not going to get better before 6 months to an year. So that means, if you rate ankle sprain from 1 to 10, 1 being mild and 10 being severe, I got 10 out of 10 in that department. I was always an over-achiever. Why sprain less when you can sprain more? Now I know why I was still in pain three weeks after the sprain.  But the good news is that we also bought a house today. So, that is the best part. Introducing Mr. & Mrs. O's new home...
